We were working on our project (Our Green Hope) today where we used 3000 reusable bags to make the largest mosaic. The worker at the campus were friendly and supportive. After finishing the project, all the 3K bags were given for FREE at Kroger to encourage people to start using reusable bags instead of plastic grocery bags. The University of Findlay has a small pretty campus. Most of the architecture is beautiful red brick. The Science/pharmacy/teaching building and the library has it's own unique style. They have foliage producing trees in the fall and trees with nice blooms in the spring. They have flowers planted everywhere from Spring to Fall. They have cute clocks around campus. During the Winter they have so many beautifully decorated Christmas trees. One for the AMU student Center and one for the library. If i could legit give ZERO STARS, I would. This is NOT… I repeat NOT a good school. If you are design/business major the staff do NOT work with you and the accommodations are a joke. You have to re-do them all again next semester. Secondly… the RA's #do not do their job. We had a huge issue in our dorm building and restrictions had been in place for the people who were causing the issues not to come back into the building. The RA's allowed them back into the building, saying they were… "Safe" to be in the building. The building muse is even WORSE. the staff there don't take care of all the fights and drug use that happens there. Two of my friends were sexually assaulted in that building and left Radford because of it. I can't speak for other dormatories, but Muse and Trinkle are NO GO'S. People are very rude and try to start drama with you and also… if you do come to this school, please PLEASE lock your bedroom doors…. people like to steal! Also the graduate teachers are the WORST. I've had a few, all if whom didn't like their students. They're mucj younger teachers, fyi. I only have one grad student professor who is a decent human being. Also people here are really racist. There's so much racism and fights here, it's insane. It's better to pick another school if possible, Especially when it comes to safety. The staff do NOT care about your safetyM B

Radford University is a great place to go to college for someone that is looking for a great education, great facilities, an exciting campus life, and a friendly and united community. As an international student I've had a great experience in my two years that I've been studying at Radford. The faculty is great, well knowledgeable in their subjects, and are always willing to help you, the student life on and off campus is fun, the smaller class sizes enable you to learn better and enable you to get to know your professors, the campus is beautiful, the facilities are mostly modern and well equipped. The university is constantly investing and working in improving the quality of education, the competitiveness of the school, and resources that we have, and it is clearly getting better every time. I would definitely recommend anyone to come to RU an experience what I have experienced so far.Ivan Thirion

This school is truly a fraud! They are claiming to support the military and Join the Yellow Ribbon Program to get the recognition but the actual support is not even pennies against this multi-million dollar school. This program was built to assist in financially supporting Military and Family Members to attend schools out-of-state and abroad at a rate comparable, if not equal, to in-state students and help overcome the hardships of military families constantly moving in support of our nations freedom. It is a joke they are calling themselves Yellow Ribbon Program members; offering a measly $1000 against a $25,000 annual out-of-state tuition difference. Then to offer it to only 2 undergraduates and 2 graduates in a school of over 10,000!!….Really? I can get a better military discount at Waffle House! They are making a mockery of a Program that is TRULY built to SUPPORT our troops!!!John Chisolm

Both my wife and I were returning college students and Stark State Alumni class of 2012. We both received a great education. She went for respiratory therapy and I went for Graphic Design. The graphic design program was wonderful. The professors were all very knowledgeable and really cared about their students (huge shout outs to Michelle Lash and Eugene Starr). The classes are small and it's very easy to schedule time with the professors if you need help or need to go over some things. It's also nice to have online classes if that's your thing. For the younger students (and older alike), Stark State also hooks you up with SALT at no charge after graduation, which is a useful tool to help find employement after graduation. Luckily I furthered my career without having to use SALT. The biggest recommendation I could suggest would be to offer more of certain classes. Sometimes only one class is offered a semester and can conflict with working hours. Thank you, Stark State and to all of my professors for giving me a great education and giving me a fighting chance in the workforce after graduation. For those who are seeking four year degrees and beyond, Stark State is definitely a great (and affordable) place to start.stephen slusny

I attended Stark State College a number of years ago when it was Stark Technical College. I am surprised by the negative reviews, because I had a great experience at the school. I graduate with a degree in Computer Technology, and the courses were challenging and taught me a lot. I still remember some of the great instructors like Mrs. McBride in my math classes. I even worked there part-time for about a year doing LAN Administration. They have provided me with a foundation for a very successful career in IT. I later completed my Bachelor degree at Kent State. I am currently completing my MBA. I was able to get a copy of my transcripts, even after graduating 25 years ago, by faxing in a request. I did this for two different Universities, and they arrived within a week. In this age there should be a way to do it electronically like Kent State, but at least they do not charge you for them. Overall I had an excellent experience and they prepared me for a very rewarding career in Computer Technology. I absolutely have no regrets about this school, and I enjoyed my time there.Kevin Frazier

I can not believe Stark State has less than 4 stars! This is my second semester and I LOVE it! The faculty are truly amazing and extremely helpful! This college also offers small class room sizes which makes learning more personal. Your teachers and professors always do their best to know each student by name. It is also extremely great for working folks who have busy work loads. They have many courses that can virtually work with any type of schedule. There are many success programs that Stark State offers, including assistance with any subject as well as a great Accommodations program for those with any learning disability/disability from minor to severe. Stark State also always keeps their students in the know through text message and emails. They give you the tools you need in order to succeed. Highly recommend this college!elisabeth brian

Its a bit hard to rate an entire university. I'll preface this with the fact that I'm rating from a students perspective and won't be factoring in cost to attend in my review. First, the university is big and beautiful. All the old brick buildings give a nice general vibe to the campus. Uptown is also a nice social hub for the weekends, fit with bars, restaurants, and Bagel and Deli. There are plenty of people on campus to befriend and plenty of clubs to find like minded people with. Second, the classes. I've had great classes so far, not finding any "bad" professors. For context, my classes have revolved around computer science and math. Mileage may vary, I haven't taken every class. Third, the food. The included meal plan gives access to meal halls which have a wide array of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some items, like cereal or pizza, are guaranteed every day of the week, with other entrées being cycled out each day. Its good at first,, but these dining halls are functuonally mean to be eaten at daily. After a while of that, the food quickly becomes just edible. The Armstrong center has a bunch of restaurants that require payment like normal, however they don't accept meal plan swipes or their equivalent value, something I've seen in much smaller universities. This food is actually good, but eating here isn't sustainable for the aforementioned reason. Paying at these locations means you're really paying twice. Once for the food, and again for the meal swipe you've essentially wasted. For this reason, I've taken a star. Lastly, I feel safe on campus. Their transparency with active police activity sent to your email along with their crime and fire reports each year indicate this campus is a pretty safe place to be. Its in basically the middle of nowhere, the campus being its own town. In fact, Miami University outsources their own police department to the town its inside of.Jack Duvall

Annoying town to live in. Southern hospitality doesnt exist in Boone. Its full of stuck up hippies. Counting down the days till I transfer to Colorado. If you're transferring here, good luck. My girlfriend has been petitioning classes that they haven't counted since she first got here. They're screwing her out of 27 credit hours that she finished at her old school. Math department is atrocious. I'm in college algebra now and the teacher lost my first test because she took priority in grading a 2 page paper on success before she graded the test. Also, if you're coming here to watch football, the atmosphere sucks. More than half of the crowd is out of the stadium before halftime. Hardly anyone actually cares about the team, they just use it as an excuse to tailgate and get trashed in a public parking lot.Chris King

Was a very good experience. Best was the faculty, who are from all over the country and internationally as well. I attended another college for a second degree after ASU and had a bad experience which really highlighted how superior ASU's instruction and advice really was. They do not waste your time. If there was a downside, it was probably the fact that many of the students are from western North Carolina, so some of the perspectives were a bit of a culture shock for me. They have several excellent programs, particularly business, music, education, art, as well as some unusual programs like communications disorders.JW41926

Attending this school has been the worst experience that I have EVER had! From advisor who do not know what they are doing to transcript office personal that have very bad attitudes and are extremely rude. They also "conveniently" forget to post important dates that student need to know. After finally graduating from this school a year late, I will NEVER encourage anyone to attend this school. Very proud Spartan here. I left my home in NYC to attend NSU back in 1988 at the age of 18. However, I really grew up while attending college. I loved my courses (some harder than others). I loved my professors (some more than others). I loved the beautiful campus, the extra curricular activities (especially the parties) and I loved the friendships I made. The fact this is an HBCU… Well, that is best of all. There is nothing like being nurtured by your own culture. It is a priceless gift. Some student decided to order doordash from Virginia Beach Which was 18 minutes out of my way and then they couldn't even tip. all I got was the base pay from doordash I couldn't even buy a cup of coffee with that. If people are going to order food and have it delivered to them they need to learn how to tip Or you better get something that's close by because you don't order from another city and then you can't even tip. The good thing and what I *really* desire the most about the "Green" and "Gold," is that visitation, even when you are not invited the University allows you to break free and be yourself. Because of this, makes me ought not to approach with such criticism when it is just basic conversation. I recently was enrolled in the graduate cohort for reading and writing. I have been teaching for almost 10 years and found most of the classes insulting. I felt I knew more than the cohort professors and learned very little new. Many of the text books were from early 2000. Considering the vast changes in LA recently, I felt many classes provided information that was not up to curent reading philosphies and/or research. The rubrics were so convoluted that the professors couldn't figure them out or they did not pertain to the topic. Many classes were spent going back and forth over the rubrics only to have them change again. Knowing what I do now, I would not waste the money, but would have done an on-line course for 1/3 the price.K Palmer

As a current junior undergraduate at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT, I am very happy here. I came to USJ as a shy, timid girl without the confidence to speak up in class. I am now a confident woman that isn't afraid to voice my opinion or share my insights. USJ has given me the platform to grow as a person and to realize exactly what I want out of college and out of life. Great school for engineering and decent for nursing. Business school will depend on your work and the professors you choose(from 1-4 ⭐️). The support sucks. Try calling financial aid or student accounts and you know how living in purgatory feels like. One hour of waiting on the line is typical and if you wanna use the outdated mymav website to get help without calling them, good luck 😉 The number in the picture below belongs to student accounts department who will drop you from all your classes when u owe money so you need speed dealing with them. I suggest you’ll go there physically even if you’re infected with Covid19 as you have a better chance of reaching them in person. And the pictures following the call are from when i went to student accounts in person and the line for service goes into a second building. If I could give this university a zero star, I would do it. As an international student, I have millions of terrible experiences with this university. The graduate school and the international students office have been really really rude. They will try to frustrate you using any way they could. Also, the insurance requirement for international students have been so unfair. They will charge you lots lots of money for the insurance for the summer time even though you are not enrolled in any classes during the summer. Also, the staff working in the graduate school have been so rude and know very little. Some of the graduate and undergraduate classes have been so meaningless and do not worth the money.yaqing cao

Atm a lot of construction is going around the university. Either adding new school building, dinning areas, or apartments around the school. The gym is great, great gym equipment, indoor track, and classes that you can sign up for if you do not like working out alone. Building are easy to locate but if you have trouble finding them people will be nice to direct to the correct locations. I applied to one of their online Master’s program and got accepted for the 2022 Fall term. Filled out everything, paid the app fee, paid for all of my official transcripts (this would have been my 4th degree), got to the advising appointment only to be told that all of my questions I needed to “look into on my own”….. I work in higher education and these are thing the advisor should have been able to answer. Then she tells me the code to look at classes after the appointment, which was odd, only to find out the two classes I was going to register for were full and she wasn’t even looking at them at the time of the appointment. This is not how advising is supposed to work. Since I have an existing Master’s I wanted to see if any of my credits could transfer in with a maximum of 6 credit hours. If classes wouldn’t transfer due to program alignment, that would have been fine. However, the reasoning was “ Since you did earn the degree with those courses, he doesn't feel that we can also use them to complete the MA degree.” I’m sorry, what??? I first showed up at MVNU as a transfer student. There were problems with some credits transferring (to no fault of MVNU) and thus the amount of financial aid I could receive. I was ready to pack up and go home. They assured me they would help me get everything worked out, to go unpack get settled in and we would figure it out together. They held true to their promise and things could not have turned out better. My time at MVNU were the best academic and spiritually growing years of my life. I am very grateful for MVNU's level of care and commitment to their students and would highly recommend MVNU to anyone.Jamie Parry

While experiences may vary depending upon each student's efforts, a quality faith-friendly education can be obtained at this University. The campus is lovely in every season, the staff is friendly and helpful, the professors are knowledgeable and personable, and the extracurricular activities promote a strong sense of religious and civic duty. Religion department was amazing. Was lied to by the registrars office and academics office from the start about my transfer credits and wasn't able to double major. Didn't find out till last semester of senior year. And as you can see most reviews are "google user" so I wouldn't be surprise if the staff is actually rating the school themselves, but this school is horrible. The staff is rude, unprofessional, and could care less about the overall wellbeing of the students as long as you pay tuition. The campus police are nonexistent they partake in activities I'm almost positive should not be happening. One of my friends was assaulted and the swept the case under the rug, never filed documents, and never followed up with the case. The financial aid staff takes money from out-of-state students and applies it to in-state students accounts (ie. workstudy, loans, etc.) because that is 90% of their student population. The department staff never answer phones, emails, and their office hours are false advertisement. The bursars office has lost money and payments sent to them and their reply is "sorry" followed by never answering the phones again. They have personally lost housing payments of mine 2 years straight which resulted in me losing housing and or paying double. This school almost lost its accreditation and really they should have because half of the students don't go to class but the professors past them anyway because of their "friendships." This is by far one of the biggest mistakes and bad choices I have ever made in my life. Had I known the undermining and the unprofessionalism this school advocates I would have never committed to it. I have been here since my freshman year and due to their "credit equivalency" scheme I could not transfer. The tuition is definitely not worth the education you are paying for. The professors are more concerned with being "cool" then actually teaching and the administration staff is more concerned with being paid then actually helping the student body. I hate the school after graduating I never will return (Now I understand why Oprah didn't), I hate the staff, and the president has yet to follow up the duties of Dr. Shields who I believe made the biggest changes now TSU is back where it started from since her departure. I graduated here back in Fall 2017 with my BBA in Accounting. It's a rocky road dealing with staff; even during slow times outside of registration. I used to work in the college system, so I understand the workflow of how I am supposed to handle being a student (which offices to go to for help, who to ask help from, keeping track of specific documents I need to turn in, etc.). However, it was difficult to get help when needed. Some staff can be very rude and unhelpful if they ever answered their phone/email. I would also go to the main campus offices to try to talk to someone, and there were several occurrences where offices would be randomly closed without putting it in their voicemail or webpage. This is not helpful when you work full-time and have to take off work to go to campus. Aside from the nightmarish organization of student services, this is a really great university! Most of my professors were very passionate about their teaching, and actually showed willingness to help you if you are struggling or congratulate you if you are doing well. Going into upper-level accounting courses were tough, but rewarding, and I felt like the professors and classmates were there to support me all the way. What's also great about this university is how affordable it is. I managed to graduate here with no student loans. It's hard, but doable. I also appreciate the accreditation is the same as other local large universities. So if you are looking for an affordable and good university, check out TSU. Currently attending this school and I do not like it one bit. This school is full of some of the most racially bitter people I've ever met. On more than one occasion I've listened to discussions that include how all whites are such bad people and how cop killing to them is a good thing? I don't know what kind of stuff they're smoking but obviously it's screwing with their brains! Last semester I had 3 teachers so absorbed in politics in their class that I could hardly see through their BS to actually learn anything. I don't know why but the teachers can't seem to stop preaching how right their political party is over everyone else's. God forbid your opinions differs then you get alienated in class as the gun nut or extremist for saying something like "I don't like the President" I've actually been called racist for stating my opinion on how I don't agree with the President's policies. Funny thing is I'm not even white I'm a light skinned Hispanic but to them it doesn't matter I'm a white racist to them. So yeah this school is not welcoming at all It's sad to say this but if you're Republican you don't belong and if you're not willing to have other people's politics shoved down your throat then don't go here. School is for learning, it's not for having other people's beliefs shoved down your throat we all have different opinions and beliefs and this school fails to understand that. Baylor is an amazing school. For a few reviews before me we are not all "rich kids wanting to blow daddy's money" or "rude". I personally have a bad background that would not match the first statement. I am not rich. I am blessed to be in this university thanks to scholarships and my hard working mother. Baylor itself is a blessing. Its a rigorous school BUT very well worth it. I love being part of the Baylor community. Its a beautiful campus filled with loving people. Its not "perfect" because nothing is. There will be a few issues like yes there are some kids who don't care and my be rude or blow things off but really if you are a part of it you will see the majority of the campus and the people here are more than amazing and loving. This is a fantastic university for the liberal arts. I have talked to people from other universities and to those that have come to visit me at college, and all of them see a difference in the student body. There is just a different atmosphere. All the people are kind and welcoming and always willing to help in times of need. The professors are nationally ranked and are not only outstanding in their fields of study, but wonderful people as well. Even if you're not looking to go to college, its a beautiful campus to just walk around in. It's almost like a park in some ways. Just give it a visit and I promise you'll be hooked! I loved my time as I attended Baylor for undergrad, and grad school (2008-2015). The campus has changed so much since i first step foot in 2008 (all for the better). Baylor (and Waco) is in a resurgence/growth period. Its an awesome time for Baylor and Waco. I loved my time there even though I'm not religious (agnostic/theist). Great people (students and especially faculty), and community. There was a reason why I came back to get my masters at Baylor. They helped me get through some rough times, and i am better for it now. I have had an amazing experience with Herzing University! I am excelling in my degree choice and I couldn't be more satisfied with my learning experience and the flexibility that the online program gives me.The instructors are all willing to help whenever I have a question, and if they see many students struggling with something, they will post an announcement with some helpful tips on how to proceed through our courses. The learning material is easy to understand, the discussion boards really help me connect with my classmates more than I normally would, the library is full of everything you might need for your studies, and the Coach rooms and Tutoring center are very helpful! I have seen many posts off and on about how students struggled in this school. I have to say the most common thing I see students struggling from in these courses is not doing the assigned work on time, not participating in the discussions, and not following the assigned directions on assignments. We have to take responsibility and do our work (on time!) or we will not succeed, and we should not blame someone else for our lack of trying. Just with everything else in life, if you do not put any effort into something, you will not gain anything from it. I stared with Herzing back in 2013 for my undergrad BSN RN. At that time, school was still establishing itself, therefore, I had some rough time getting through the program, but overall my experience was good. The instructors are active, involved, and try helping you succeed every way they can. I am super excited about where this will take me in my near future. Poor service! I cannot explain the frustration myself and family endured while earning a degree I BARELY had a chance to use. This is one of the most disrespectful, greediest schools I have ever been to! The parking costs for students is outrageous. Staff in all parts of the university are lazy, some were not friendly, disrespected other cultures of people, and then some. I was lied to by multiple professors that I had to only purchase books from their book store and not Amazon. Amazon saved me tons of money for the same book! One time, I got water on one of my text books and that bookstore charged me $184 to replace the book!!!! Not to mention their clothing is overpriced! The material is just sweatshirts! Get real!! A lot of mean students attend school here. I noticed students bully other races of students, throw items at each other, teachers bully students and talk to them as if they are nothing! I am sorry, but that school costs too much to deal with BS (Not the degree either). The tutoring labs are the worst! They are not friendly, racist and do not seem to care if you have a paper due. Also, they provide those players with free tuition, but refuse to help families whose kids have straight A's. I am not talking about "wealthy" families either. That Business office needs to be shut down. That Gwendolyn or whatever her name is terrible! She has spoken to people like dogs and never smiles. I have seen those Business Professors snap at students. Terrible and unprofessional!! I hope someone snaps at your college kids as well and you will see/understand the feeling! I still owe this school money after years of graduating. Oh, but wait! Other schools helped me find work and I barely owe anything! We spent thousands of dollars for a fuc….you know the rest degree that provided no access to jobs over $40,000 and they did not help us find work. Oh, but wait! You can mail us letters asking to donate money to the school and those players. No worries! Life is still great and we eventually made better money! This school is not worth it! From the first time I visited Ohio Dominican University, I was impressed by the atmosphere and interaction between students and professors. I loved the classroom sizes, which fostered the ability to ask questions and interact with fellow students and professors. This is something that I strongly feel is a key component for any young person to grow, learn, and figure out what path they want to pursue. Throughout the course of my time at Ohio Dominican, I developed many skills that I still use today.Joe Bell

I want to say my granddaughter was there to take test for school. I found that the Ohio Dominican was very well kept. The building was excellently kept. The food Cort excellent clean. Landscaping was beautiful kept. Students were very helpful and polite. Very respectful I would highly recommend it to anyone. Great Catholic University the staff outstanding. I visited the campus while staying in the area for the total solar eclipse in 2017. The campus was clean and safe. Internet searching showed that this was the only place in the US with white squirrels. I walked around the campus for 2 hours but only saw regular squirrels. Many students were not aware that this campus was known to have white squirrels and those who were aware said they never saw one. Just as I was about to give up, I spotted one by Potter Hall! If I had another option I would never go to this university. They preach all of these wonderful things but when it comes down to action, they show none of it. Their system that is supposed to help students get their classes organized and keep them on the right track works, but only if you need absolutely no help. I was a second away from getting a lawyer before I actually recieved any kind of direction or assistance. Come to find that there are other people I know that have similar stories of having been given no help and shrugged off or just tossed an answer that is not helpful at all. Had my father not gone to the Dean my degree would have been stunted. It would have taken another 1-2 years to complete with the advice given to me by a secretary that refused to tell me anyone I could go to for assistance. She rather throw my EXCUSED medical absence (which I have only ever had one, and it was to have my daughter) in my face as a reason to show my incompetence and that my lack of help was MY fault. Had it not been for my parents support I probably would have dropped out due to the neglect and disrespect that I have been give from the people at this university. Not to mention they put someone in charge of a girls sports team who had been previously charged at their university with sexual assault. I have so many more examples from others around me that have had similar issues and have been ignored or bounced around from person to person when asking for academic advice or help.Tessa M

Love YSU. While this college has a lot to offer and is exceptionally friendly to ppl with disabilities I wish the department I am studying at was bigger. We only have 3 professors and unfortunately one of them is so ineffective I had to repeat every one of his classes. I learned more from my tutors in his classes than from the professor himself. Head professor is cool and extremely helpful. Also the equipment we use other than the computers are horribly out of date, built and used since the 60s and 70s. Unfortunately due to life circumstances I have to move out of state. Hopefully the next school will be just as rich as YSU and has a bigger department with up to date technology.Imperfect Xennial

YSU is such a quiet and peaceful place to go to school at. Sometimes I liked to just sit on the grass under a tree and listen to the birds and the wind as life just passed me by. The buildings are a complex maze of twists and turns that will leave your head feeling like you just entered the twilight zone, and while some students are rather rude the majority of them are extremely kind hearted. I personally feel that the school could use with a better organization system, slightly more thought out staff and faculty, but other than that it is a very amazing place to learn.Reynard Louernia

I'm currently a student at UWGB, and I have attended UW-Fox Valley, and UW-Oshkosh. I find the campus and the school as a whole to be high quality and a first rate campus to consider attending. However, the push for these schools to partner up with companies like Cengagebrain Inc. and MathXL/Pearson is nothing short of the next chapter in finding new ways to shakedown students by forcing them to pay high prices for online study materials and "approved" texts. I'm currently having trouble with Cengagebrain, with nobody to turn to for help. It seems we are forced to deal with these less than reputable companies, with no ability to defend ourselves against them essentially doing as they please. In the interest of the truth, I had a rental that ran late. As a student, I'm sure you can relate to the semester ending and finals being more important than most things in life at that time. I now have no way to return the item as the Cengage website won't let me print a return label. The book in question currently sells NEW for less than $100 for the exact same edition and print at various online stores. Cengage is claiming that because I am late, I need to pay the full list price which is $276.00, less my rental fees thus far of $60.00. So in other words, my late fee is over %400 percent of what I rented it for! I ask you rhetorically what business decides because you are late, you will now pay for the full price of the item? No basic late fees, no extension of the rental. Nothing. They just demand that you pay the full amount and keep a book that you just paid over double its worth for. This is not the first time something like this has happened to me. I paid over $100 for a MathXL code only to be told it wasn't valid, and was then forced to purchase another code! This was from the school bookstore! Now, I have contacted Cengage for a third time today on Sunday, 5/24/15 and am awaiting a response. Cengage's normal modus operandi in this situation is to submit students to collections if they don't pay the egregious book price. So in other words, there is no defense to having your credit damaged by these people. I find it to be extremely dishonest to force students to pay such high prices for these materials all for the sake of making it easier on the professors. My bill for the class in question for the materials needed was over $300 with the online subscription and the text rental, and now much more after being forced to pay for this book. It would have been 1/3 of that if all I had to buy was the book. I am paying for all of my schooling, and I don't get help. I feel horrible for all of the students in my position that will have to be subjected to the same underhanded tactics of these companies. As students, we are forced to buy these things and have no way of making back a percentage of our money either since we cannot "resell" an electronic subscription. However, I feel there lies the reason these types of study materials are coming about, they are aimed at drying up the used text market. UWGB, while I feel as a school you are good choice, I do not find in any way that your best interest is that of the students when you condone using such companies as Cengage or Pearson. As an older than typical student and not of the norm, I feel things like this will factor into steering non-trad students away from the UW system due to the nickel and dime nature of it. If you want to partner with these companies, than you better make sure they aren't trying to take advantage of your students. To any prospecting students reading this who value their money and time, please look hard at your major and make sure you want to deal with classes that use these companies. I am only offering a friendly warning that my complaints are not isolated and to also let you know that this will only increase in the coming years. I can't in good conscious give more than one star to UWGB due to this issue. It would have been completely opposite if I haven't had such bad experiences with these companies.Jake Rodgers

If you're looking at completing your degree online, skip getting the "Integrative Leadership" which used to be called the "interdisciplinary Studies degree"…it has nearly zero value in the real world. I've had it for three years and my Associates degree has earned me more value then this degree ever will. If all you want is to be able to do is “say” you have a bachelor’s degree without regard to being able to use it…this is the degree for you. If your current employer just wants you to have a bachelors, because it makes them or you “feel” good…this is it. I’d get a refund if it were possible. I minored in business administration, and if it weren’t for that….I don’t even know what real-world value this degree offers… College is mostly a joke, you spend the first 2 years taking gen eds, most of which you already learned in high school but don’t get credit for because they don’t want to miss out on making money off your back, or you’re dealing with extreme liberal bias. The real classes don’t start until year 3 or 4, at which point you’ve already progressed to the point where you’ve hit the point of no return in that program. Honestly, most people are better off going to a technical school to start. If you make it through that, you can always transfer to a “real” college where you can be made to feel like you’re smart.Dudeski Boros

This college is gaining a great reputation all the time. It is very affordable and you get a great bang for the buck. You get a very good education without spending $20-$30,000 a year. I went to two big-time colleges before UWGB was built. The reputations of the schools didn't help me get a job. I had to interview well and earn it. Over the years, UWGB has been a key in our fight for clean water in Kewaunee County. Their help and expertise cannot be overstated.Bob Garfinkel

I am a Syracuse University employee working at Syracuse University getting my associates degree. The education I'm receiving at Syracuse University is second to none the professors are great and most of the friends I've made here are Syracuse University students friends that I will probably run into later in life the friends you make here are Syracuse University students from around the world, and some here in your own hometown, friends that you will make for life the professors are great they give you the tools you need for success in today's economy and in life and your own personal success. Going to Syracuse University to get an education is a blessing for me to be able to one day give back to my university in my community it's one of the best universities as far as a research school in the country, and their football team is pretty cool too.Stephen Mosher

My son is a recent Syracuse grad. From his first campus visit he felt a connection to this place. From his first day as a freshman through his last day at graduation, this school has given him great classes, amazing professors, lifelong friendships, travels to London, two final fours in four years. sleeping out in the cold for ten days before the sold out Duke game and many epic memories in the Carrier Dome. Syracuse University has so much to offer that smaller schools just don't. The campus is really nice and very well maintained. The finacial aid is great. The staff really helped him prepare for life after graduation as he had several job opportunities. My son loved Syracuse so much he decided to stay after getting a job right away. I can't say enough about this school. My whole family will forever "Bleed Orange". GO CUSE!Lori Hain

I had great professors and excellent guidance. I think. I mean, it WAS the first half of the seventies! Seriously though, I got everything I paid for, and more, from this great institution. The academic and extracurricular education and experience has served me extremely well and provided me with the ability to lead a happy and fulfilling life. What a great part of the country. The geography, the city, the history of the area, the geology (Love those drumlins!), the fantastic sports! What are you interested in? You can live it, and learn more about it, in Syracuse! Syracuse made it possible for me to react to an ever changing environment, and reinvent myself.
