All the financial aid has supported me broadly. I know y'all are hanging in there from the pandemic I will be going to school on June 1st I have not been in school for 6 years because of problems in my family's life I'm still trying to figure life out I'm just now starting to take care of my mom I am living with her now which is a big step. I either need a scholarship for a college essay or need a grant but they said I don't make enough money. I worked for four years by the way. I passed the essay TSI, I also wrote an essay for the Susanne scholarship and just maybe need to get a recommendation from a high school teacher. love all of you thank you so much for getting me started.Trae Webb

since I started school in dallas colleges(2019) this summer 2022 is the worse for me. My professor O'Brien is never available, no help from him, and has denied access to all the features that other professors give access to students in order to help us. I went to the campus to talk to an advisor after sending him more than 5 emails, even at the campus No one knew his whereabouts and he finally responded after 2 weeks since i told him I think I'll drop that class he didn't even bother to try and assist me instead he said yes you can drop it and you'll for sure find the same class with another instructor good luck. First time to have such a 👎 instructor at dallas colleges I so much regret wasting this semester in this class. I even submitted a complaint but no once has reached me to even ask anything.Therese Ambani

Im only a freshmen at Mountainview community college but I already have a great opinion on the institution. I love the greenery surrounding the buildings because they make me feel tranquilized, I love the inclusivity this college gives and the diversity here. The professors that I have so far have been amazing and makes my classes worth looking forward to. I visited the school store in the S building just last week and I really love everything the store has to offer such as snacks, school supplies, feminine products, hygiene products, cosmetics, and basic necessities! The subway in the dining hall has welcoming employees with great customer service. The success coaches in the S building are also very helpful with planning for classes and addressing any concerns you may have. I love this college!Brianna

Would not recommend. I can't speak to the instructors since I never made it that far, but the staff needs a refresher course on office management. I work in an admin office and if I ignored customers as I was ignored by this college I would have been fired a long time ago. I had my former colleges send my official transcripts in April which both confirmed that they had. I asked in June and in July where we were in the processes. The only answer I received was that "we can't find them" and asked if they were submitted under another name. I had told them multiple times that they were submitted under my maiden name as I was not married when I received other degrees. No response. So I had them resent. There was no response. So after 24 hours I emailed both the registrar's office AND the email designed specifically for transcripts and did not hear back again. When I went up and emailed everyone in the admissions office suddenly they found my transcripts and my transcript hold disappeared like that. And then afterward, suddenly I received a response to one of my emails and the person I was speaking to was quite snippy with me saying that she "got to it when she could" although I had been inquiring for 2 MONTHS about the status of my transcripts. Fortunately this was going to be my first semester and I have enough time that I found another distance education vet tech degree from another college. I won't be registering for classes with Cedar Valley after this whole thing honestly its NOT worth it. Also, there is NO requirement to meet with an advisor and no one point of contact for Distance Education students. Their instructions for registering for classes are confusing and even inquiry emails were met with silence. Also it feels the admissions office was supplying contrary information on how to enroll in vet tech classes in the first place! If you're looking for a distance education vet tech program I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you going elsewhere. You'll just get frustrated here. I would give 0 stars if possibleAmy Shumway

I'm going to be fair and admit that the teachers I've had have been the most helpful, inspiring, and kind people I've ever met. Unfortunately I can't say the same for most of the staff up front. Most of the staff are rude and unhelpful, constantly running you in circles like they have no idea how anything works. The advising staff are very unhelpful as well. Patty Soper-Shaw placed me in two wrong classes my first semester, and admitted to me she had no idea about any of the technology courses I was trying to take. Because of that, I'm now left without the hardware course I needed to take before the software one which leads me to this biggest problem I have with this college. DO NOT TAKE TECHNOLOGY CLASSES HERE! It's a dead end. A majority of classes never have enough students to make the class work, so they're constantly being dropped. The dean of the technology department, Mr. Johnson, came to our class at the beginning of the Fall 2017 Semester to tell us our class is cancelled. He even admitted that the technology classes there are failing tor receive enough students for the classes, and apparently it's been that way for the past 10 years! It's to the point where my degree is absolutely useless, and because of the constant cancellations and mess ups between staff and advisers, my life is now behind because I can't even get a simple certification or degree. I've been at this school for three semesters, and after my class getting cancelled again, I've decided to finish up this last semester and move onto another college. This school is the most unorganized, uninformative, and misleading place I've ever been to. I'm not the only student this has happened to either. I've spoken with many at that school who have suffered from the same problems I spoke about. This school has been a nightmare to go to and get anything done at. Awful experience. The advising staff were rude and unhelpful. Registration staff were extremely unhelpful and contradictory. After being led in pointless circles and constantly receiving contradictory information about required forms and materials, I was finally able to meet someone who understood what was going on (after talking with at least 4 different registration staff members). By the time everything was sorted out, the classes were filled up. The advising staff members are not accommodating, interrupting, and very accusatory. It should not be on the customers shoulders to filter through constant contradictions just to apply to the school. I did follow and submit the required material stated online. Apparently, the material submitted was no acceptable and I had to jump through many hoops and complete many tedious tasks just to be told it was all pointless and I didn't even have to do any of the "required" forms or tasks. Honestly, I just felt like I was wasting my time doing pointless tasks when most, if not all, of it could have been avoided. By the time all my information was processed, I had finished applying/enrolling, getting advised, registering for classes, and paying for the classes at a different community college. This was the most unorganized, confusing, drawn-out process I've ever had to go through for any college admission. Wasted so much time throughout this process. Oh, did I mention that no one knows how to pick up the phone? Called at many different points in time throughout the day just to be sent to voicemail… This happened for an entire week. Leave a voicemail and hope they get back to you promptly.Water Fountain

Lisa the advisor in Eastfield college was horrible. Everyone was nice and welcoming except for her. She wanted me quick out of her office as soon as possible. When I asked her a question she would seem annoyed. SHE IS SUPPOSED TO HELP PEOPLE AND WE ARE THE REASON SHE IS GETTING PAID TO DO HER JOB!!Joselyn Martinez

I'll preface this with that the only reason this school is getting 2 stars is because staff has actually been helpful when I have reached out to try and fix things. But when I tell you EVERY step of this process has been an absolute nightmare I am not exaggerating. I am a TWU graduate and needed a quick summer class to take because i got a conditional acceptance to a graduate school. This is time sensitive. So, long story short every single step had some issue that took multiple phone calls and people to fix. The biggest issue was me paying for an official transcript, seeing that on the tracking information brookhaven had received the transcript, and days later having the transcript STILL not put into the system which kept me from registering for the class that my entire future quite literally depended on me taking. Because of the bad timing of spring break I had to register late and it took an hour in person of me and the wonderful admissions worker figuring it out because no one we needed to contact was actually on campus. Although she was incredibly helpful, it was obvious the entire set up was frustrating for her too. The website is outdated and confusing and I get endless errors- i couldn't even pay without there being an error. Christi Carter is an awful person who sees students making mistakes during class and says NOTHING, then cheats during the "random body part selection process for competicy testing" and gives you the one body part she saw you making a mistake on but said nothing during class so she can kick you out of the program. Absolute zero compassion for students and their education. Luckily I've graduated Radiology at a different college dispite her being an absolute awful teacher. How someone can be so curropt and unfair became director of the program is beyond me.__

I was at this campus just to get my Student ID this week. Everyone I encountered was kind and helpful from the security desk attendant to the staff in Student Services. When I was looking at one of the outside campus maps to find my way a staff member came up and assisted me with the directions to where I needed to go. Reading the other reviews here, I see others have had problems with admissions and financial aid – I think all universities have lots of complicated paperwork in regards to those areas, so patience is necessary.Curtis Johnson

Richland College offers a High School Collegiate program that is now at its 10th year. My son was recently accepted and I went there to meet with the counselor and I was quite impressed with the cleanliness of the campus as well as its size. I did not realize how large the campus is and yet I pass it daily enroute to work. My meeting with the counselor was very informative as the counselor was thorough and very detailed with all the information we needed to know. It put me at ease. Then as we walked around, we walked under trees which provided lots of shade. The only thing I noticed though is at the parking lot we were at, there was very little shade. Something to keep in mind for the hot summers. The campus is very easy to access from the Eastbound lane of Walnut or the Northbound lane of Abrams. I've never really been to a JuCo but after seeing Richland's campus and meeting with some of the staff, my perspective has changed on how I see JuCos.Joey Pauga

I just wanted to go somewhere and take classes to pursue my dreams in comics and animation. The registration process at this school is an absolute nightmare. I got all my paperwork in and was all ready to pick my classes. Then I’m getting told I’m on probation when I’ve never been a college student before. I’m also getting told from a different admissions worker that my transcripts are lost and I have to resubmit them. I’ve been trying to get enrolled before the Dallas Promise deadline for weeks and it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. The admissions office doesn’t respond to emails and calling them still has got me no answers. It’s becoming not worth it at this point.Mr B

I'm trying to back on track and attend college, but this school is extremely aggravating. It took them MONTHS to transfer my credits over, so I can register for my classes. I applied for financial aid, went to the school, and everything was great. But as my courses were ready to start, my classes weren't covered. Come to find out, my financial aid was approved for the previous 2 semesters. I registered for summer courses and everything, so how did this happen. I called financial aid (20 mins on hold) and told them about this situation. I had to drop my classes This is by far the most irritating schools I've ever had to deal with.Jblisi LeSueur

This school is literally the worst, they take all day in the advising office and registration office. They will have one or two people helping more than 20 people and you would think that would make them have a sense of urgency but they do not. They all act as if they don’t feel like helping you and move so damn slow. I received 2 parking tickets during the time I have attended this school because two hours in a meter is not even enough. The best advisor is Shannon, the rest of them act like they don’t care and will not give you any guidance when your new to college, some will over talk you and not even pay attention or listen to what you are saying to them. This school will literally make you not want to attend college at all with how difficult they make the process. I am here at the college registering for my classes for the fall and have been here since 1:00 it is now 4:00pm smdh. If you plan on coming here make sure you have a whole day to spend here!!!! I had a meeting and asked for help and she said she couldn't help me for some reason…I ended up texting & emailing people for help but they eighter didn't reply or said they were going to help me but then ended up not communicating back. I managed to call tec support and they said website was down. Few days later they called me & said they were going to put me on a list and since then I haven't heard anything. I feel like putting a bad review I’m currently trying to see a councilor here at El Centro I came Thursday before 5pm and they told me it was closed but on the website they close at 5pm. Come to find out today a staff member told me they closed an hour early because they were having a spring break party. Today I’m trying to speak to an advisor I’m the only one here sitting in the lobby still waiting for someone to help me. I used to love this school but honestly service has gone down the drain. Good school. Dr. Haskins is a great teacher for the cisco CCNA certification course. All the material is provided. However, I feel as if the course is a little rushed. I understand the school is accelerated learning, but 8 chapters a week with only hearing lecture on 4 of said chapters is a lot for people who have jobs outside of school. I am almost done with my time here and I would recommend this school for those wanting to learn and possibly start a career in IT. Again, Dr. Haskins is an awesome, awesome instructor, and I hope he teaches more courses in the future.Brian Moller

I have enjoyed learning in a fast-paced setting throughout the past few months that I have been enrolled in the program to become a medical assistant. For the past week, Ms. Marshall, my previous teacher, has been very supportive and understanding of both my learning and myself. I'm currently enrolled in Ms. Morehead's class, and on my first day, I have injected Ms. Morehead with saline as a form of vaccine. I’m so glad I made the decision to continue my education with ACI. If I could give them more stars I would. I dropped out of high school and waited till turned 18 and got my GED . I started my first semester at dcccd when Covid hit. I was really bummed but still very motivated to continue my education. When I learned I’d be taking summer 2020 completely online I knew there was a chance I might struggle at the beginning but who wouldn’t ? That’s why there’s available help from your instructors. So I took the courses and failed miserably. I lacked the help and support I needed and deserved at DCCCD. I truly believed community college was my only option for a very long time. Until I heard my neighbors success story with ACI. Being family owned and operated was a green flag right of the bat. It’s very important to know you have people on your side who truly care and want to help the best way possible and I’m confident I will have their full support with anything I need throughout my time here. I was in the first cohort for the LVN/LPN program at ACI, and it was so definitely worth it! My experience though, was quite different from many of my peers as I was pregnant through out almost the entire program from beginning to end. Even though I had every odd against me, every one of my instructors did everything they could to ensure my success and I can never thank this administration enough for that. I graduated in October along with my peers, and I just found out that I passed the Texas state board exam, so I am officially an LVN/LPN! The only reason I placed 2 stars is because the dean and the man who enrolled us was great. But other than that,the reviews for this school is spot on. They care only about money. After financial aid,I was told I still needed to pay 221.00 a month or my daughter would be kicked out. The lady who assisted with FA couldn't care less about anyone who goes to this school. And don't have colored hair either,they'll make you change it. When my daughter could not log in to the online course,no one bothered to help or contact us. I had my daughter withdraw. 18,000 dollars and not even a call back. So I'd shop around for a school and make sure its best for you. This one tho,was not it.Katt T

When researching schools and you read “for-profit” as Concordes main description- believe it. I was accepted into the dental hygiene program and was asked to put a down payment of an amount that was almost 5x my rent. I was considered an “independent student.” (no financial help from family) As soon as I communicated the amount was not doable the school redacted my acceptance and gave my spot to someone else… so before you put all your time, money, and effort into this school-don’t. I cannot speak for the program itself and I’ve heard nothing but great things about the instructor… but at the end of the day that doesn’t matter if Concorde is “for-profit” and not for education.Emilee Gestes

Please do not go to this school. The instructors are very disrespectful and do not teach anything. The purpose is to fail you so that you can pay again since you have to retake the whole semester. The first term had a 30 students class and it went down to like 12 of us. This term everyone is failing so far because the term 2 teacher is random and does not go by the book.There are around 5 students in term 5 which is the last term and most of them have repeated at least one term. I am looking into other programs. Stay away, it is easy to get into the program, but you won't learn anything and NCLEX passing rates are low according to the instructors.Kukita Arocha

Maegan was the BEST teacher! Easy to understand, patient, and explained everything well. She made each class day exciting & ensured that we had ample time to practice our skills before the state exam. Her knowledge of the information was very apparent & she made an an effort to mold the curriculum to each student and switched up her teaching approach based off of what each student needed. Bryan was the best BLS instructor I’ve ever sat under & made the whole experience full of laughter and ensured that each student had a complete understanding of the information. I took the iv and phlebotomy course that was taught by Chantelle. This was a great course and Chantelle is a great instructor and she is very patient. I recommend this class for anyone, even if you don’t have previous experience in the medical field. You can practice on fake arms as much as you want until you feel comfortable doing a live patient. I have a few coworkers attend the CNA program and tell me how much they learned for the Jacksonville location. Necole Learning Academy offers a wide variety of different programs depending on what field you are interested in. Necole is helping others achieve such an amazing pathway and I absolutely LOVE it! The teachers are so nice and also care for each and every student like they were their own. The several coworkers I know who have gone through this program have all excelled academically. The academy is extremely convenient for working parents as well. This school goes up and above in every way to help students succeed. I graduated this year from Medical Career Training. I was given more than enough information needed to completely ace the national exam and phlebotomy national exam. Tandra is extremely thorough in her training. As with any schooling, what you put into it, is what you will get out of it. Tandra and Rhett give you the information needed to ace the tests and become a MA or phlebotomist, but the student has to do their part by pay attention, studying and practicing your clinicals. I was able to obtain employment within 2 weeks of applying for jobs on Indeed and Zip Recruiter. Tandra helped prepare my resume and assisted in finding employment for all her students who requested the help. She also prepared us with practice interviews and "working interviews". This came in very helpful. I can not rave enough about the extra steps Tandra has done to assist her students in becoming successful. Any time I needed assistance during my interview process or was concerned about how to answer certain questions, Tandra was there to lend a hand(even a month after I graduated). I have and will refer others to Medical Career Training!!!A Alexander

On top of when preparing for the exams Tandra had specifically left out a page during her lesson and advised “we won’t have to worry about it.” Yet when it came around to studying for the exam we were not prepared due to the missing information from something we “won’t have yo worry about.” This is a small family owned business that could care less about actually educating us and more of making a profit. Outright AMAZING. Listen up, not only is this course amazing and so fulfilling, but the instructor is an angel ! Mrs.Tandra is by far the best teacher that I have ever had including K-12. The material is so exciting and the skills are very much fun. Do not doubt that it’s going to be hard because Mrs.Tandra is so knowledgeable and kind which led her to share her knowledge/experience with striving medical professionals. I recently completed the fast track CNA program at Legacy with Ms. Kee and Ms. Starla(both very amazing women/instructors)!!!!! From first entering the location you get the sense that they mean business. Although choosing a fast track(two week) program you will receive hands down the most thorough and informative training with no short cuts!!! These ladies make sure you learn all skills to the t and understand the importance of full accurate patient care (not just because of state or national acts and stipulations) but because they are truly experienced and TRULY care!! You are provided a variety of times(night class for me, worked well with my day job schedule), as well as a hybrid option with hands on skills focus along with home based computer modules and given materials to help aid in passing the state exam,(which I passed on the first try!!!). Upon graduation and waiting for your exam you are able to come in and practice as well. They are even a location recognized with the state as a testing center so practicing there gives a sense of ease and comfortability when taking the exam vs a foreign location! Legacy exemplifies what a great and thorough school training program should be! I will continue to refer others to Legacy and will soon be going back for certification in a different program! MS KEE AND MS STARLA ARE GREAT. Seriously so smart, hilarious, and caring. I love how straight-up they are and how fun they make class. I just took the CNA course and have my exam next week.. I plan to go to the facility tomorrow to practice…The fact that they let you come and practice is so nice. I feel prepared to PASS THIS EXAM. && I start the Phleb class next weekend..super excited to learn from them again. Can't beat the teachers, material, price, or length of course here. Ms. Sherry and Kee are great teachers who truly care about their students. I did the Medical Assistant certification as well as BLS certification. The BLS course is to be certified through the American Heart association and was about 1.5-2 hours. The MA course is 10 weeks long, $2k out-of-pocket. It’s shorter and cheaper than any of the other trade schools or community college courses and you are ready to go into the work force in less than 3 months. They will set you up with a clinical and provide study material for the national exam. I have no regrets picking Legacy Healthcare Careers to start me on my medical field journey! This program is well organized. The content material is structured in a way where if you have no prior knowledge of anything dental, you will be able to learn from the starting basics to advanced material. The instructors, Ms. Bonnie and Mrs. Justina, do an excellent job teaching you. They will go out of their way to make sure you fully learn and understand the material and will not hesitate to teach you 1-on-1. It is a longer program than most dental assistant schools out there because you are able to get all the hands on training of skills you will need in an actual work setting, and it is affordable. Externships are a part of the program, so you will also be getting work experience. I got to say as I have learned so much from this school, getting to learn a new skill that is helpful in the workforce has helped me figure out what I truly want to do with my future. Going into this school I was not so sure what I wanted to do with if my life but as soon as I started this course I had a whole different perspective on the dental field and now I am going to reach a much better position all thanks to the nice teacher that actually take the time and get to know there students. Great training, teachers are wonderful! There are so many great things I can say about this school. Getting the extra 8 weeks of training really gave me the tools I needed to find the perfect job! The director helps you find a job and she keeps up with you even after graduation to make sure there is nothing left to question. You will not be disappointed and it's cheaper than the other schools that give you less weeks of training. The instructors are great, some of the staff is great , … but the credits do not transfer to any TEXAS university.. They are nationally accredited , and the universities are regionally accredited. I got several denials for universities since the credits don't transfer. I had serval recommendation letters Maintained A- B honor roll (Deans list) Perfect attendance High GPA I received an Associates degree and a certification. The degree is only good job wise – not moving up in your education. The laptop was a great addition as well Now I'll be Starting completely over as a freshman at a community College spring 2021. If you just want a quick certification this is the place for you. Now I'm in debt over a degree thats worthless in the educational system . I've confronted the issue with a few staff members. They don't care .. I am getting legal advice on this matter . Everything I have said I can back up 100%Renee J

My, my, my, my, my!! My entire experience here at Asher (Dallas) has been nothing short of absolutely amazing!! The entire staff, from the Campus director to the front office personnel are very professional and go out of their way to ensure all of your questions, concerns, and needs are met. My (I.T.) instructors are very, very, knowledgeable and are always ready to help and assist in any and every way.
