Dropped by here in order to go to Panda Express. Don't know why I'm reviewing a college I'm not even part of, and this review is during a pandemic too.. well, it's purely about the aesthetic and convenience of the facilities. De Anza has quite the sizeable college grounds , so sizeable that it feels like an abandoned residential area with how empty practically everything is. It's complete with artistic facilities for music, visual arts, science buildings, sports facilities and the like. While I didn't enter, the library and the nearby park (called the sunken gardens by the college) was quite the beautiful location. The outdoor seating areas where the students would take a break and wait for classes on are widespread, shaded and very calming to be on. Not to mention the very convenient bus routes available . It's no wonder the college ended up being quite popular, it's geographically excellent and quite picturesque.Ace Hughj

De Anza College is great but not the book store. Beware of book store return policy. Make sure the books or items is in original condition or their will not refund. No sympathy at all. I bought online access book a week before class starts. My math intructor switch book. And to make matter worse I accidentally bent the access book card because it was in my backpack with one line crease and they denied the return after i picked it up on 1st day of class. Cost me $120 for a simple honest mistake. Ask for store credit or even exchange for the current hard copy of the free math book and they not willing to do anything. I'll go buy from amazon or used book somewhere else. Never again support this book store.Dru Down

Community colleges are a treasure trove of gems among them is access to the on-campus gym. De Anza College’s on-campus gym provides patrons with a quiet and well rounded experience for an affordable price. From experience, these types of gyms allow me to get my workout done in a welcoming environment, which I feel can’t be said of many gyms. However, it’s sad that the school is closing it due to budgetary reasons on June 28, 2019.Daniel Negrete

The administration is not interested in offering equal access to education for parents who are looking to get one. The college is not interested in reestablishing the on-campus child care center. Also the administration knew the science building chemistry hoods were not functioning properly for years and never let students know. The professors are incredible but if you are a mother good luck because the college doesn't care that in order to access education, women with children (those who require an education for a chance to improve their children's future!) need some equitable student services. Don't take my word for it scroll through the reviews. Most reviewers are male even though majority of students who attend the college are women. Read into it what you will but the facts remain that the college has a child care center on campus but refuse to renovate it even though property taxpayers agreed to pay for it (measure g 2004).Melissa Martinez

The college incorrectly listed me as a non-California resident. When I attempted to fix this, I found that I could not get in touch with ANYONE from the business offices. Eventually, they started having a debt collector call me because I wanted to sort out the residency issue so that I would not be charged nearly $1000 for my classes. This has been going on for months now, I attempt to call their offices almost every week and no one answers me. I'm beginning to suspect that they are just trying to force me to pay the non-resident fee so that they can get some extra cash. All in all, I have had a horrible experience with the administrative services, and if I could get on the line with anyone, I would have been happy to have paid the appropriate tuition months ago.Laura Israel

Overall, the colleges is good. However, other colleges are doing much better. $ stars for the efforts in trying to become better. Recently they have started to work on the new Gymnasium building. Teachers and professors are good but they are very diverse. The teaching style of all the teachers differ and they might not be ok with everyone. So choose your class wisely. Overall the crowd is good but sometimes you might find some not so friendly people. I am not sure about the safety. Best looking community college in california, not to mention location, so gets 5 stars for that. Is a bit of a workout if you are on a bike or walking though since it's sort of built into the side of a hill. Make sure you use a map since seems part of the campus blend into the surrounding nature so can get lost. As far as attending could improve since when I attended seemed all courses always full so had to sign up for classes early or will always be on a wait list. Also, long lines to see counselors. Nice library, could hang around in there all day, though could use longer hours.Jaime M

I have to say this school has been one of the worst experiences. I’ve had great teachers but the other departments; financial aide, IT support and almost every other department is a nightmare. Of course their famous excuse is “COVID” but that isn’t the problem it’s people not wanting to do their jobs. Hartnell is going through a ransom wear attack and recovery , during the whole time they did a terrible job keeping the students informed . There was no access to drop or add classes . I send emails and didn’t get anything back . There phone didn’t even work cause of the hack . I signed up for online classes and emailed them to try to get better attention to detail on how to access the canvas online . Just absolutely terrible . It caused me to miss a class and I have a handful of class that are suppose to start and don’t even show up on my online portal . And I can’t see or add or drop them cause the website doesn’t give me access . And I have yet to see a solution to a problem like this , I doubt I’m the only one . Just go to MPC .Josh Cab

I took my family to celebrate El día de los Muertos ( the day of the death) and everything was so authentic, the people who did the altar and the decorations put a lot of their time and effort to make it look just like in Mexico. In Mexico people decorate the cementaries and spend the night waiting for their love ones to come visit them so that they can enjoy their favorite food and drinks, if you don't know much about this watch a movie titled "COCO" it will explain how this works, it's a good way to remember the people that was once full of life.Juan Quintana

ADT141: I took the Diesel program, Valentin Rodriguez worst teacher I have ever had, main reason why I quit the problem despite being a straight A student in other classes. ENG 101: (Hetty Yelland) Terrible teacher, so liberal bias doesn't even try to hide it. She has an unrealistic attendance policy but uses her mother for not having office hours. I got dropped because I needed to get essential meds from the pharmacy and missed class for them, Most of the students I have spoken to had a bad experience with her. Do not take her.Ruben Chavarin

If anyone is looking into the medical assistant field please do yourself a favor and look at the pay rate and how much it costs to attend this horrible program. Program costs about 30k and MA barely make that yearly, you can go to a community college for about the same time and get paid to go. I cannot wait for SJVC to get sued for taking advantage of vulnerable people, giving false promises to students of a career in medical assistant, you will not be able to live on that type of low income. You have a better opportunity making more money at Target, most of my credits did not transfer even though I was told they would so I wasted my time. I had to retake most of my classes which I did in about the same time as I was at sjvc and will be applying to the nursing program. This is a horrible schoolJammy Jam

An amazing institution Went here as a student from Feb 2019 until graduation Oct 2019. I was enrolled in the front office medical admin program. 7 months and upon graduation, I passed and got nationally certified for billing/coding. My teacher Ms.Hernandez was amazing, caring and knowledgeable. The school and its staff went above and beyond for me (I was unemployed at the time) and now I am employed and have actual hope for my future. It taught me a variety of skills that applied in many jobs for medical assistants. The bad? It won't teach you everything. It won't get you a Masters Degree and a six figure job. But that's not the point of this trade School. It's a start, a path to better prospects. It's made good on that so far =)Vince M

I had previously been accepted to a university, having experience payment issues (that school was wicked expensive) I found SJVC, they help me make a smooth transition from the other school to there and my time there was amazing. Meeting different people from different programs and other people who just didn't want the traditional school experience. I went for my certificate MOA program (took 7 months of class time and 2 months of externship time). Loved my teacher and classmates and learning was easy and I understood all the lessons. I even got on the dean's list after getting my certificate. My career counselor even helped me find my full time job. I enrolled at Computer Tutor in March of 2016 and received my Certificate of Achievement in Administrative Accounting Clerk I. My experience attending this school was very positive, as the staff and teachers are very helpful, pleasant and encouraging. I gained extensive knowledge in Accounting and am now very comfortable working in MS Excel and Quick Books and am now able to apply for jobs that require these skills. Computer Tutor also provides a Job Resource Center that is very helpful to you in your search for employment. I'm just your averge joe working heavy labor jobs until I decided it's time to get serious and get an education. I can't afford nice things, but with Fasfa and pel grant, at the office they helped me out on how to get enrolled for part time in college. The best part is I only had to pay 3k AFTER I graduate in payments of 50 a month. I rather use my 4hrs to learn than sit around watching tv. While I go to school I can work at the same time pay off my bills and still have time to rest at home. The whole point about working smarter is so that you can enjoy life. The entire staff at Oakridge Veterinary Clinic amazing. The front office staff, techs and doctors are all top notch. I can tell they truly care about my dogs. I recently had to bring in one of my dogs to be seen and they squeezed him in their busy schedule and took great care of him. The staff here are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, and I always appreciate the work they do for my dog. My husky can be opinionated and stubborn (as is usual for the breed) when the vets and technicians try to examine her. But the staff are so patient and accommodating, and they try very hard to make her check-ups and procedures as pleasant and low-stress as possible. Very nice. My cat was sick due to stress from owner taking a vacation while the cat was baby Sat by a neighbor. In this process the cat became severely constipated. A huge Siamese named Harley that the vet saved his life! They were able to slowly get his digestive system flowing again, took over six hours. Prices were incredibly reasonable especially for the work. Now no vacations and a month later kitty is on a diet recommended by the vet and lost over 4 pounds in fecal material. Harley is now happy having regular movements due to the instruction and advice given by the vet and my 20 year old baby is still playing and behaving like a big loud Siamese. His behavior has changed completely due to vet services and we're able to diagnose and offer help. I was lucky I noticed my cat struggling with his movements, if I had not and hadn't found a place to take him insert very sad scary thought here. Great staff friendly service and very thankful I was squeezed in! Will always be taking my cat here! Thank you for saving his life. One happy client, TomTom Walch

I had an appointment today with my dog Harley and I absolutely loved this clinic! My dog gets very nervous going to the vet and I was nervous about his behavior as well. From the moment the vet assistant came out, she showed nothing but patience and love to my dog! It was clear he was a nervous guy, but she took her time getting to know my dog more in the exam room. Giving him treats, laying on the floor with him and playing with him! The same happened when the vet came into the room. She sat on the floor with him, gave him treats and he got so comfortable with them! I explained probably too much about him but the vet answered all my questions and concerns!! This is exactly what I was looking for, for my dog! A clinic who truly cared about his well being. Such a relief I found a great place! I am doing a 2 star review. The good: They treated my pets well when they had to do dental work, good communication, and good follow up. The bad: They gave our pet the wrong dose of Thyroid medication, which should have been 1 mg / 0.1 ml but was mistakenly given to the pharmacist at 10 mg / 0.1 mL! My cat is now experiencing issues with Renal failure, when prior to getting this medicine he was doing just fine, albeit a bit skinny. For those who don't know, if you over do Thyroid medicine, it plays havoc with the kidneys, and so now his kidneys are having all kinds of issues, and its just painful to watch because this could have been avoided.A Selos

I am a working registered dental hygienist who graduated from Carrington College back when they were at their previous location relatively close by on San Ignacio. I can't speak for the program now since alot has probably changed in terms of administration, but our program director Sherry Heaney, department of hygiene staff, and supervising doctors were all great and provided us with excellent, rigorous education. We had a very thorough clinical and classroom education there at Carrington which allowed my graduating class to pretty much all go through the program and pass our National and regional boards for hygiene. The cost for the programs I will admit is a bit pricey as it is a private tech school, but they do have loan options. I just recently paid off my student loans after working part time for 3-4 years as a dental hygienist. Also keep in mind that the program was only about 1.5 years full-time vs the 2 years you would expect to go through from one of the renown lottery local community college programs at foothill, Diablo, etc. By all means if you are lucky enough to get into those programs go there as you will save a ton of money, but education-wise my education was on par with those schools. After we graduated I received many phone calls checking up on me to ask if I had been employed yet, so they do seem to check up on how we were doing after going through the program. If you are coming into this clinic as a patient, understand that this isn't a dental practice. Carrington makes nothing from having you come in for their essentially free treatment. They don't "prey" on people without dental insurance because Carrington receives no benefit from you coming into the department for treatment, and rather it is more of a service to you and the local community. That being said, you will be treated by STUDENTS and their only gain from you will be clinical experience. Treatment planning and the amount of time you spend in the clinic will also be ALOT longer than it would be if you were to go to a dental office. I'm talking about a few days of you coming in for appointments vs an hour at a dental office. To Nichole's review, since I can't directly respond to your review: I am unaware of how your periodontal health was before treatment but most likely you had gum disease. If you are having gum recession after treatment that you didn't expect, then I am afraid maybe you didn't have enough patient education. That is something that just happens if you have gum disease and receive treatment for it. Your gums recede because they are swollen initially and you already have bone loss around your teeth. Once they firm up they will naturally recede to match your bone levels. As a practitioner it triggers me when the patient blames the doctor or staff for the patient's own negligence even though as practitioners we have the heart to basically do charity work for them. It is sad that you feel entitled to free treatment and then blame your healthcare provider. Just my two cents here.Unsullied Roarrior

Thanks to her because she encourage me to go to go back to school and try to inquire. The staffs in Carrington College are friendly even the janitor and security guard and front desk. I remember the first day doing my inquiring in this school, I met Troy he was my enrollment advisor! He’s so nice, funny and cool! I like him! I like how he help me and my friend to get this in the program. He extends his arm to help you for what you need to get in the program and take note I don’t have money, nor credit score or anything financial. It’s true that the private school is so PRICEY! I can’t blame or complain about it because it’s private school and you’ll graduate in 1.5 years not including pre req. Troy explained everything about it, how you’ll pay and how much you’ll pay. Honestly, I didn’t know what I’m doing but with the help of Carrington College staff I would say I owe them from what I became now because they helping me to make my dream come true even you don’t have money for now, it’s like get your degree and pay later! I am now in Term 2 in Dental Hygienist Program! Carrington College of Dental Hygiene Program Department’s environment is peaceful. The faculty are very friendly. This the place where you can learn many things. I honestly can say, their way of teaching is not intimidating, they work harder just to make sure their student doing a good job especially in the clinic, your practice skills (oh, a lot of COMPETENCY, which is to test your skills, if you failed then they’ll teach you until you get it) and lecture. I love how they focus on your hand skills, your ergonomic (protecting your back, I don’t even know that!) BASIC is life! They teach you not only to learn how to treat patient but they care also for you to love the job so you’ll not injure your overall health! Mrs. Clark is the one who welcomed us in this Program, she’s so gentle when she talk and I love her teaching in Radiology subject and not only her you’ll love. All the DH department staff are friendly and funny that what’s make me go to school everyday and excited to LEARN. They’re all knowledgeable, professional, and they will not stop failing you until you get the PERFECT skills, they’re not judgmental they’re always asking “DO YOU HAVE QUESTION?”. One of our Instructor said “MISTAKE IS A OPPORTUNITY”. I realized being perfection is not what make you GREAT! I don’t wanna brag everything but their teaching reached my beyond expectation. This particular location has some very wicked women working in positions they’re obviously not qualified to work in. If you’re a woman of African descent, they work so hard to keep you down and out of the programs, if the salary will start at a healthy rate. Yet they’re pretty rude and condescending to EVERYONE! They try to intimidate the students for having questions. They’re very unsupportive and unprofessional. They will gang up on you, knit pick with you, hold unnecessary bully like meetings with you, etc. these women can’t handle the responsibility that their position Carrie’s . They’re old as Medusa and have the audacity to mock an older student. It’s a shame that after all that women have been through overtime , these women believe that it’s their job to try and hold another woman back. I had a heart issue due to a medication I had taken while I was a student there. I was admitted into the hospital, and still managed to attend my class the following day from my hospital bed. These women verbally attacked me in private the first day I returned to campus. I was still weak from being ill, which caused me not to be able to properly defend myself. Fortunately, I was able to record the second attack—all because I inquired about what the protocols would be in the event that students became ill with covid. They wanted to meet with me again privately, the meeting took approximately 1 hour, yet my question was never answered. Instead they brought up all kinds of other silly things, while gazing at me like I was an experiment. There’s a lot more I have to say about this campus and it’s Surgical Technology Director, Lab instructor, and the Director of Student Services. They behaved like pure monkey’s.Tara Newton-Bailey

The teachers here are amazing and wonderful and do not get enough credit for all the little things they do. I was in the vet tech program. All the instructors for vet tech actually are RVT which is cool, cause they have seen so many things and worked in the field for so long, they are all so very knowledgeable. Most of the employees who worked in the office are also very helpful and kind. No one in the entire Carrington College Pleasant Hill location regarding faculty (including staff, office workers, janitors and teachers) gets the recognition they deserve. Everyone i met in the time during my program all went above and beyond what they were paid to do or had to do because the instructors and teachers really care about you and really want you to reach your goals. Any problems or issues you may be having the teachers will always help you or they will find someone who is better equipped to help and understand your issues or problems. The 2 years i spent here because thats how fast you can get your degree and diploma in a 2 year period went back so quick and i would completely do it again. All the teachers have there own way of giving you the information you need but it is your job to study it. My teacher was awesome so there were times when the teacher would stay later then needed just to help me and other studys or review any information that we werent completely comfortable with yet. It's nice to know that the staff, instructors and teachers really want you to know this information and will not get pass anyone who doesnt know there information. You get to work with so many beautiful animals both which students, and teacher bring in from there homes as well as the labs we attend to practice on larger animals such as horses and cows. It was all just one big thrilling event. All teachers, instructors and staff deserve a raise for the wonderful things they do just on a daily basis to help others that goes unnoticed. During my time here at the Carrington College Pleasant Hill campus i also worked there as a student worker. All staff members are overworked and underpaid. The higher up management people who get paid to do a job that they pan off on the others who are lower in ranked get all the opportunities as well as all the recognition for things they have no part in. I have seen multiple people quit or be fired for what others have done which is not right. The CEOs or whomever is at the top and makes the decision for everyone under them needs to pay more attention to there employees and actually realize what they are doing and know what they are worth. The instructors and teachers do not work here because of the pay or recognition that they so rightfully deserve and need, NO. They work here because they love the people here, because they love the students here, it's because they love what they do and they want us students to make sure we love it to. They do not want us paying so much money and taking all these classes if it is not something we actually want and like to do and are good in it. If all the little dogs got paid more and well enough as well as proper trainer for new employees and not just throwing them to the wolves making them feel overwhelmed and adding boatloads of paperwork to a single person already under stress and having a shoulder looked over every minute wondering if they are messing up because no one was there to properly train them, then the employees at carrington college pleasant hill campus would probably stay longer and would not leave due to things being mislooked at. Chanticleer Vet is wonderful – I initially switched to Chanticleer because they had some of the most reasonable prices for vets in SC, but was blown away to find that they are also the nicest! Win-win! I have been very happy with the care that Dr. Dantzler has given my terminally ill cat, and she has supported me and my partner, going above and beyond (answering questions and returning all of our phone calls). I got a new puppy who apparently had kennel cough My usual vet was booked for weeks and I tried a bunch of vets to try to get her in. Chanticleer Vet. Hospital had an opening that day and I brought her there. The doctor and assistant were very nice and caring and gave me medicine for her. They examined her outside the main building because she may have been contagious, so I didn't go inside. Dr. Jennings is amazing and he took care over our German shepherds during the pandemic. The care and treatment for our dogs have been amazing and the staff have been wonderful. We have had a few issues with not being called back when having to leave a message but they are aware .. they are working on improving that. We will continue going to them because they don't try to over sell us, they always look for ways to make things affordable for the care of our dogs. If we can not afford something that is not absolutely necessary? They have no issues with that and respect our decisions if we chose to decline. No hassles and no fuss. I’ve had pets my whole life. Best vet experience hands down. From the front of house to the techs and vets everyone has been welcoming, compassionate and highly knowledgeable. I have felt like the whole team cares about what is best for their patients and their human companions. So grateful for such an amazing animal hospital I know I can trust. The app and online pharmacy has been an added benefit, super easy to request appointments and order refills to be delivered. There was a time when this was the best around. But anymore they are just not the same. We could not go here without them making us feel like terrible pet owners for not shelling out thousands of dollars for a dog on his death bed, to help him live 1 week longer. When our other dog was in crisis they said they were too busy. And now… Now we call for an appointment to put our dog down, and they tell us their soonest appointment is in 3 weeks. I moved to California 6 months ago from Kentucky and came to Willow Glen Pet hospital because my dog was up for some vaccines. I was nervous because my dog is very anxious and has been aggressive with vets in the past but the vet tech and vet doctor were very patient with her and my dog seemed a lot less nervous than last time we were at the vet! I let Doctor Bock know I was interested in the buy 1 get 1 vaccine special and she went through all of the vaccine options with me and let me know which ones she thought my dog would absolutely need vs which were optional. Since I came from an area with higher rate of heart worm, she told me she’d recommend the test and followed up with the results. It was a positive first experience and I will be returning. 5 stars well earned. Im a traveling professional with a human reactive dog. We've visited plenty of vets clinics over his 10 years some better than others and this one is at the TOP. They were so patient and so understanding and not one bit phased when I mentioned "human reactive dog". In addition to their expertise in dog handling the Dr was thorough while never sounding like a salesperson. I could tell he was focused on making sure my dog was healthy as opposed to over selling any and everything he could think of. We have been using this vet for our dog since he was a puppy. I like that they have a technician that meets you in the parking lot. I don’t have to stress about my dog while he is inside the office since he is always with someone. Competitive pricing, and friendly staff. I’ve never been sold anything I didn’t need. They also did my dogs neutering and that was a pleasant experience. They always take great care of him ☺️acut3triangle

 In short… knowledgable, capable, kind, caring and compassionate could all be used to describe this place in our experience. Long form… In 2012, our family moved here from the midwest and we are quite fond of our family furball. But, being a full on terrier, he's never without a daredevilish bump or bruise now and then. These things considered, finding a family vet was of high priority. Fortunately we landed in Alameda when we made the leap out here, and discovered Dr. Wooley at Providence. A meeting that lead to a life saving event for our dog. He had an episode late one night and we took him in to get checked out at the VCA Emergency Vet down in San Leandro (24hrs and very good as well). While there, they took some biopsies and, well, he tested positive for cancer in a spot on his neck. We went through the process with VCA… got the diagnosis, treatment options, prices, stomach churning budget realities, hard discussions, tears, the works… Around that time, during a check-up with Dr. Wooley, she stepped in and offered to conduct the procedure herself and in doing so, proved spectacular. The bad bits were removed and the follow-ups were all negative. He was 9 at the time… As of this writing, he is 11yrs young and still dashing around the house with sporadic bursts of terrier energy. He's got wear on his tires, of course, but no matter what, his life was saved that summer and every new year we have with him is a year given to us by Dr. Wooley and Providence Vet. We like to think our little dude is equally as appreciative, as any time we walk near the place, he pulls us toward the door, begging to get in. This was my first time coming to this location. Are usually go to the location on Webster Street but there was a mixup, but everything worked out just fine. It's always hard finding a good vet clinic to take your pets to because you want to feel comfortable and confident since you rely on them to make sure your pet is healthy and in good hands. This is the place to go and BOTH locations are great. PROS -Easy appointment booking online or calling. -Staff is so friendly, patient, understanding and helpful. -easy drop off appointment due to Covid safety. Just park in the spot, call the front desk and let them know what space number you are in. Easy. -good location -Clean office -They do NOT try to gouge you with unnecessary services or medications. I've had bad experiences with other vet clinics before with my other dog. -I feel comfortable and always have a peace of mind whenever I take my pet here. -I have had to book with different veterinarian doctors so I could get the soonest appointment, but they all were great and just all consistently good. 🙂 My last two visits were with Dr. Thurman and she was outstanding. My two girls have grown up here. They had their first exam in 10 days with Providence Clinic and now they are almost 4 years old. The most important thing to me here is I feel comfortable leaving my cats for them to take care of without worrying about anything, we all know that cat visiting could be stressful to both the owner and the pet itself. but with the technician & doctors here, There has never been any issues. They are very kind & professional. I moved out a couple of times and visited different hospitals, they are OK but not compared to Providence's service so I still choose to bring my girls back here. Read some comments regarding the charges, I want to say you got what you paid. Also if there is a bigger charge I always get notified before anything happens. I want to make sure my babies get taken care of well.EJ T

I was very interested in beginning a career in the medical field and and when I inquired I was introduced to Dena and she was extremely helpful with everything i needed to know and answered all my questions, she helped me with enrolling, and it was a breeze. This place is wonderful, the only reason we stopped coming is because it's too far for us now 🙁 My newly adopted dog's spay incision site got infected and they were able to see her the next day. Dr. Crawford is THE BEST! She was so caring with my dog, and asked for daily photo updates to make sure the wound was healing properly with the help of antibiotics. I felt so terrible my dog's incision site got infected but Dr. Crawford was very reassuring and told me that I wasn't a bad dog parent, things just happen. That really meant a lot to me. This is a great place, all of the staff were nice, professional, and seemed to really care about the animals. Definitely recommend! Edit: as far as prices, it seemed reasonable. I had a voucher from TLARF but I did still have to pay a bit out of pocket as well. The itemized receipt I received seemed fair to me.Megan Horvot

Dr. Crawford and Dr. Wong are amazing! They are both very kind, compassionate doctors who are really smart at what they do. And the best of all – THEY LISTEN! They don't make me feel like a crazy pet parent, even though I am, and never judge me when I admit I haven't followed all the guidelines to the T. Actually haven't been here before but people who have I know seem to like them only complain I've heard is they are booked full.. but I will tell you this from my experience they are 100% better than banfield! STAY AWAY FROM BANFIELD!!! Banfield was completely uncompassionate with the animals needs it was just like a bunch of robots running a veterinarian office not to mention completely outrageous price for what I don't know they didn't do anything for over $1,000 they let our dog leave stll unhappy not knowing what's wrong with him and peeing blood still sick and this should nEVVER be the result after leaving a veterinarian officethey didn't care about the dog they just wanted what we could afford to pay them for and took everything off we couldn't afford with no problem whatsoever or no compensation with something else I feel like the owner of that place has a big boat with a gold tooth his wife probably has a collection of fur coatsGabriel Henry

Love this place! Dont take your family members anywhere else. Parking is a bit tuff when they are busy but the care you get here is worth the minor hassle. All the docs here are patient and listen to you. They tend not to push needed thing on you or your pet. My only suggestion is more waiting room seating. Lol that's not really and option but hey… one can dream. 😁Christopher Payne

We've taken our dog to just about every veterinarian around. I must say Disney pet hospital was the only one who took the time to finally diagnose our dog correctly. Even though the news was bad they took care of us so well I couldn't put anything but five stars. This will be the only place I take any of my animals from now on. Beware of this hospital. We were sent here as our regular vet was in a transition period due to selling the business. To be clear, I understand vets are expensive and this is Napa. So I expect to pay a pretty penny. However, Alley Cat price gouges big time (30% higher than local ER services). Additionally, the facilities are not clean and, after visiting, my pet developed an antibiotic resistant infection. The antibiotics drugs prescribed post-surgery were for topical use and this was an open wound requiring sedation! Clearly a miss on the doctor's part, not knowing what to prescribe. When I took my dog to the ER less than a week later, they could not believe the lack of prescription accountability on Alley Cat's part. My other dog traditionally loves the vet. After one visit there, she hid in the car and had to be pulled out, refusing to go in for a follow up! Look elsewhere for care. It will save you money and you will get better service.Yohannah

Alley cat has been the preferred veterinarian for our family for the past 25 years. When Alley Cat was purchased by Dr Max Salinas the service began to quickly change. Medication prices rose, appointment times were shortened and overall care for our animals has diminished. I personally overheard Mr Salinas berate one of the remaining vets Dr Corsi, while I was in an exam room with one of my dogs for “taking too much time with us” ,he was informing her that appointments could not last over 15 minutes…despite that fact that our dog had just injured his knee and would require surgery. I recommend taking your animals to a facility where they truly care about the patients and not just the $$. Avoid California small animal hospital in Napa as well. Dr Salinas has purchased that establishment and I have heard nothing but bad experiences from those that have taken their pets there since he acquired it. We are so happy we discovered Ally cat. Dr Salinas is the best vet ever. Its hard when your dog is sick. Our regular vet let us down and did nothing to help our sick dog. Dr Salinas took his time and diagnosed our dog properly and prescribed him the best medicine for him. We are so thankful. Bosco is doing so much better now. ❤ Everyone at Ally cat was amazing. The whole team is so sweet and I was a mess when I got there. I thank you all so much. The only thing we don't like are the prices. We have been paying triple for certain services.ampozas
