I would recommend HCC to anyone who seeks a regular education but if your untrusted in the nursing school through this school stay away! If you are a self learning person who can Consume large amounts of information quickly then you will do fine in this nursing school! If you are not they will chew you up and spit you out and not even care, they will take your money and pays you out of the nursing program without so much as a single moment of help. The director of nursing will call you names and insult you and threaten you and the principal of the school when it was brought to her attention about the behavior of the director of nursing and the problems within the nursing department, and the bulling from the Nursing staff towards the students was insulting! The principal will laugh in your face and not even try to help you, but The principal, will take your suggestions on how to improve the nursing program for future students but as for you a current struggling student you will get absolutely no help even if you go to the staff every single week you will get absolutely no help and they will watch you fail out of nursing school and take your money. So if you cannot learn quickly and suffer from any kind of disability, do not waste your time and your money in this nursing program, because they will just destroy your soul and your life!Roy Scott

The only reason I am giving this school a 3 star rating is because of the teachers. Don't get me wrong every school has its problems but the majority of the teachers there are amazing. The problem with this school is anything and everything that has to do with the admissions building. It is full of nothing but student workers that don't know how to do their job. Trying to get an actual adult on the phone that actually works there for a living and not minimum wage is like pulling teeth. You will not get anything done by the deadlines they have because you will not be able to get any help from anyone. I have been communicating with Ms. Deloria Scott for the past few months over the phone. I am in the midst of the overwhelming process of moving cross-country and enrolling in a new school. I had plenty of questions for Ms. Scott and she always was able to help me out and answer all of my questions with her positive attitude toward her job. Talked to an advisor 3 different times. The first time was a short call had no idea what was going on, okay whatever. Said he would figure things out and scheduled another appointment. Second call his man concern was me attending the webinar and informed me I could only take 2 classes for the first term and a total of 15 credits for the semester. News to me but okay if that's how its gotta be; okay, asked him with less than a month before classes why am I not in any classes yet? He said he would figure it out and get the ball rolling and made another appointment for August 12 to be sure everything was figured out. Third appointment still no classes, and no call. Talked to a different advisor and she told me he would call me back. Finally got from my advisor on the phone 2 hours after appointment where he began with saying I could only take 12 credit hours this semester till I got a gpa for maryville. Towards the end it was now only 9 credit hours for the 1st semester. What! Jack said depending on my gpa this semester I may be able to take 18 next semester. Really? Like I could even remotely believe that after switching 3 times. Bye Maryville! Thanks for leaving me 2 weeks to find a different college to go to! The online master degree in nursing has group work for every single class and almost every week. That doesn't seem so bad until you realizes that there are students all over the country in different time zones working 12 hrs shift. It is difficult to get everyone together on the same day and time, not mentioning the huge impact it has on your grades. So your grade is going to depend on everyone else. That for me destroys the Independence of online school that most working adults are looking for. Not mentioning all the drama that involves group work. The semester costs around $5,500, and I think that is too much money to have your grades jeopardize by inconvenient and excessive group work.Katia Nicholaw

If the admission representative I spoke to today is a reflection of what to expect from Maryville University, I would suggest you look elsewhere. I requested information so I can determine the best path to a graduate degree. I was mocked, scoffed and laughed at by the representative. Roxbury Community College is a top community college in Boston with accessible instructors who are devoted to their students learning and mastery of the subjects. It is more important to learn the foundations than be pressured and focusing on competition for grades at some notable colleges in the area. I am also interested in furthering my writing career for children and young adults by the Children's Literature course. And courses on Images of African Americans in the media. I am applying to an MFA program in creative writing at Spaulding University and need letters of recommendation. I hope to get a tv show on Nickelodeon. This will help. I might take Linux computer programming or Java II. I plan to enroll in Biology I Biology II at BHCC. There is an Energy class. If I have time I will take this on Saturday mornings. I also plan to take Organic Chemistry and apply to medical school using computerized anatomy coursework. I am considering taking Arabic language classes here. I am also going to read the book on legal document preparation. I do not have time to take everything, so I can read the book and keep improving being self taught is important. Absolutely not. I know rocks that can gain more intelligence in a lifetime compared to the amount of anything you'll gain here. They don't even offer flexible tutoring hours for students employed by the school. What? are you kidding? Say its a conflict of interest. A conflict of who's interest? Cause its truly conflicting the interest to learn when you cant make a buck and get help with academics at the same time. Highly unprofessional staff, hand to God I thought they were common transients you pass by in hallways and streets. Also the graduation rate there is half past depressing and that alone is a reflection of the interests the professors have in teaching a community anything college related. Please be aware of this college. Worst college in USA. Took money out from Income Tax return without even attending any class. Please be very aware before you visit this college or sign any papers.My wife went there to check about the courses they provide and see the college. She never went to that college again and never did any class. After couple of months we received a bill that we owe money. Called the college and the front desk said that you have to talk with the billing department. They told us that you have to come to the college and sign the paper. My wife told that her foot is broken and she have 4 kids so that is why she cannot come. She Also told them that she will send doctor and hospital note that she cannot drive.They hung up the phone on her. She sent so many email and calls but no reply. Spoke with billing department that I really need that money for my kids. They guy I spoke said that i can not return the money. I have to be honest about this. Good college when it comes to campus design, some Professor's teaching skills, and assistance for school related issues. Although, the school teaches bad ethics. For example, sports lack discipline. They will teach there athletes to run score boards up. Up by 20 in a basketball game with 3mins to go, they will shoot more three point shots than Steve Kerr. The most alarming thing is faculty will participate in Hazing students. I've watch this with my own two eyes. Call them out on it, and they will just deny it, at least my professor did. I am currently a student there, who help form a club, in order to help students get there basic needs to become a successful student. So just remember, good campus design, some Professors have good teaching styles, good for resources, but terrible place to learn good ethics. To me learning good ethics and applying them is one of the most important, or the most important thing to learn as a student. Would not be the first school I would want to send my child to. I learned a lot, got tons of experiences, got so many American and International friends, exchanged culture and collected precious moments in this place. I do recommend this college as an affordable and easy starting point but be ready to encounter many hurdles in your way and a lot of incompetent staff. Make sure to double check everything you do here, especially the financial aid part. The professors are nice but it’s on you to actually learn the material, the professors rarely will make sure you learned anything. It’s a 3 star college. My alma mater, as of 1975. I considered it an optimal learning opportunity, and (at the time frame considered…) a quite reasonable investment. The only 'drawback' (at the time) being the regular 'business of life' [and unfortunately as well, death – Cancer, in Family]. Exigencies are unavoidable, and need to be addressed a.s.a.p., and can cascade into other further nets of decisions. I certainly did enjoy my stay there (the area, as well as the great University !). There was just never enough time to fully explore the many opportunities. If only one could repeat some experiences, possibly change some choices, and avail others… but then one could add that reflection to many things. Amazing Geology program, filled with the some of the most intelligent members of the field. Professors legitimately care about student success and the curriculum is top notch. Additionally, the field trips are all well planned and very educational. To start off, the academics or classes you take are more like ones in high school you take. It doesn't make it interesting unless you are in a special major such as culinary, equine, robotics, or something of that nature. The culinary classes I was in were something. Definitely had ups and downs but it may not be worth it since some skills you learn may never be used again. Your grandmother can probably be a better instructor. Now the living situations, the dorms are alright. It is difficult to live with others since you want them to revolve around your schedule but you also have to revolve around theirs. I always had bad roommates. You know ones that stay up late (up till 2 in the morning), snore, drink, smoke weed in the room, etc. It is probably just me that I can't live with others. You can change rooms but there have been less and less dorm rooms over the years. The worst part is that when you pick your room, you are given a random time to schedule. Best bet is to have the least amount of roommates as possible and having a private bathroom in your room. Don't want to be sharing the bathrooms and showers with hundreds of other people (bring some sandals and/or slippers). The dining situation kind of blows. For a school known for a culinary program, you could cook something better. There are less dining halls than when I started. The only option for breakfast is Starbucks. Lunch and Dinner is okay. Two dining options include all you can eat which is great. The menu changes every meal but you will see the same menu items a few weeks later. Everything also closes early on the weekends. Obviously, you don't want to spend so much money on take-out and delivery so best bet is get your food from a dining hall before it closes. The meal plan can be managed. You got either 7, 10, 14, or 18 meals a week. Each plan comes with flex which is a certain amount of dollars you can spend at the dining halls if you don't want a full meal or something that isn't part of a meal swipe. I miss it!! 😭😭 Graduated Nov '19 (the last fall term with trimesters). Jwu really stands out with their career focus an all the networking opportunities via professional clubs and career fairs. There study abroad options are impressive! I was lucky enough to attend a semester at sea. Taking core courses that are taught by former industry professionals makes going to class sooo worth it. Stand out professors are Prof. Rhodes, Lavin, and Boker. 10 out of 10 experience / at times, i felt like it was worth the price tag just for them. Providence is such a cool vibe. It feels like a little slice of Boston… Without the traffic and big-city-feel nuisances. (This is also coming from somebody who thought that they did not like cities at all) On Thursdays, (also because most students don't have class on Fridays), the city will literally feel like it's coming alive. Great energy around here even though there's homeless people who consistently panhandle. (You'll get to know the familiar faces and they'll leave you alone- definitely not a deal breaker). I highly recommend getting your own apartment right away because it's outrageously priced otherwise. That is, unless you're on a full ride and room & board is covered. Although, one semester of on-campus housing is helpful in an effort to make friends. This is very cliche to reference the university mantra… but "pride, courage, character, and community" really do define what the school is. I'm very proud to be a wildcat for life and am forever grateful to have the connections I made there.Andy B

I think it’s crazy that local guides can give reviews when they know nothing about the experience of actually going to the college. Johnson & Wales was the worst choice I ever could have made in a college, which is really sad knowing I chose this school in honor of my grandfather who went here, and passed away right before getting to see me go to college. Professors are the only good part of the school. All the other workers who work in the offices, the actual people who run the school as a whole – a literal joke. The entire school is a joke. You would think that this school being a “community college” they are more understanding of financial situations and are more efficient with financial aid an other “programs” they offer. Not this school! Not only does every single person in the financial aid office treat you just like another person asking for handouts but depending on what staff you run into behind the desk you might not even get the correct information! I went to the financial aid office yesterday due to the fact that I found out when trying to register for classes for spring 2018 that I was on a financial “probation” these people gave me NO NOTICE NO CALL NO NOTHING but that’s the least of my worry at this point. I go to their office the girl behind the desk had told me due to me getting a D in my math class last semester of 2017 financial aid was skeptical about covering classes for this upcoming semester so I would have to appeal( good thing I came a week before registRtion was over ) I appeal the form then I get a notice in the mail saying I’ve been only approved for 1 class this semester up to 6 credits. I was a little bothered, but I took it, I go down to finally register once again! Then I was told I didn’t have enough for books an technically they were only covering up to 3 credits an my class is 4 so I owe the school clerk a balance of $23.00 and now I’m also expected to pay for my text book. 6 days before class starts … what happened to the notice they sent me that said they cover up to six credits???? literally because I struggled in my math class last semester an got a D I’m going through all this torture as someone who is barely able to pay my own freaking bills at 20 an living by myself just trying to get my own education, every Semester it’s something else with this school the office people SUCK they are there for a job an that’s it. Then When you ask to speak to someone in charge of financial aide they torture you with hold for atleast a good 20 minutes on the phone ( probably praying for you to hang up) unless your willing to take 2 and three trips down to the office which is no problem probably for someone who doesn’t works full time.so now that the semester is getting ready to start an they feel like they did their part by covering the “majority” of my class (3 out of 4 credits, which my paper says they should cover up to 6 credits at least but whatever) I’m now expected to fend for myself an purchase a $200 text book within the next six days. Professors and fellow students are great but the administration and admissions process is a night mare. Little to no help to navigate threw the process. No one is willing to answer question. They always refer you to another person. Example: Me: Can you please tell me how I can access the wifi here? Advisor: You will have to contact a student advisor for that. Me: :/ Avoid online courses here. Professor did not make access easy. Not clear as to what material is needed. If professor isn't able to help you navigate course or they themselves aren't sure of what to do you will still be responsible for payment. Only time in my life I hired a professional service and they were unable to preform paid for task and I was still responsible for payment. And of course there is no one available to talk to about this and if there is no one knows who it is to refer you. If you do decide to take courses here try to make friends with other students that have already been threw the admissions/ administration nightmare. Don't take online. 1: I registered for a class and dropped it a before week prior to it starting, boy was I in for a surprise bill. $120 for a class I didn’t even step foot in, let alone it didn’t even start when I dropped it. What a SCAM. Of course I had no choice but to pay it. So just be cautious when you’re registering for a class, because you cannot change you’re mind and not expect to pay a fee even if the class hasn’t begun. 2: If you’re “graduating” be sure to wait months for your actual diploma to be delivered. Very unorganized system they have going there. I graduated in may and have yet to receive any proof of it. My transcript is still not updated with my current degree and my diploma is who knows where. Sucks. 3. If you’re receiving financial aid and you’re registered for a class and the school decides they want to cancel it, be prepared to repay financial aid back.S G

This school is some sort of racket, I would recommend looking elsewhere to receive your degree. The school’s “academic advisors” are actually the program directors and professors, so they have a personal interest in what classes they put you in and won’t let you choose or advocate for yourself. Because of this, they are also not interested in solving problems you may face because then they’d have to take responsibility for them. The TAs barely know what they’re supposed to be instructing you in, and will get flustered if you have a question and do the work for you instead of actually teaching you to be self-sufficient. Additionally, the course descriptions are severely lacking and you will find that the instruction for nearly all classes feels very clandestine and disorganized. There is no transparency or way to make an informed decision at this “school”. For those living on campus in student housing, you may experience mold, insects, and furniture caked in animal hair. The school will not put effort into remedying this. The cafeteria food is abysmal after the first week of classes. There is a large foreign student population at this school, FIT may be relying on their newness to the States in order to maintain their poor standards. For those of us who value receiving a first-world and excellent education, I suggest NOT ATTENDING FLORIDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.K Washington

First. This place has its ups & downs. But one thing’s for sure, they provide quality education as good as Ivy leagues. 80% of Professors are great at teaching. Some will even be the reason youre passionate about you’re major. Downside to this place is the QS ranking(doesn’t exist on there). But they make up to that by being well known in the community & having connections with big engineering companies. I graduated may2020 with an Bsc in ME. & am now getting my masters at UCI in MAE. Let me tell you I study with students from berkely & UCSD & I am just as knowledgeable as they are or even better at times. One of the downsides is the extremely expensive university housing which you’re forced as an international student to stay in for 1 year. Wish FIT imvested a bit more on better parking lol. Best 4 years of my life. Even though Melbourne is extremely boring. Orlando & miami are 1 & 2:30 hours away. Don’t ever estimate the quality of education FIT is providing. I once did & now know better. Take up that panther 🐆 pride. One last thing. You’ll get to see rockets 🚀 taking off every couple weeks from campus. Florida Tech has been my home away from home. The energy the place and the people have is unique and would say that I am as happy as I can be here at Florida Tech. Ever since I started attending school here I felt like my education and wellness was more than covered. It has given me connections and friendships that will last forever and I will forever be grateful to have chosen Florida Tech. My professors have always been caring and helpful and I have never felt like I didn't belong here. I loved the community and how many different clubs and organizations they have, so socializing has been an easy part as well. The first thing I will say about this school is that the student population is one of the rudest and meanest student populations in the country. Everyone I have met at this place is all about appearing cool and smart, and if you don't go to school here you are looked down upon. The dorms are absolutely terrible here and most buildings are made of concrete. Most state universities are the pride of the state but I don't think people view UMass that way. The school used to have friendly students and a low tuition/fees, now it is the exact opposite. When you go to Umass you are paying for a college experience, your not paying for a quality education. Public schools are a major part of the downfall of society, and this school is a perfect example of a school doing that. Every time I have been on this campus I am not acknowledged and if you don't conform to Umass standards you are an outsider. I understand education is important but the students/staff could at least show some respect to people outside their clique of Umass society. Umass has gotten better in some aspects but in many aspects it is still failing. It is not a open minded campus. I think most people who leave this school are so absorbed into a career mindset that they forget that life is about more than just a career and income. A major problem with universities especially UMass is people choose a very narrow path of education. People should be interested in many different fields of knowledge rather than what their major is. When I first started signing up for my MBA I advised them that I had just graduated with my bachelors degree. My goal was to start August 5, and I submitted all my necessary paperwork and cooperated as such. When it got to my transcripts I was advised I could not start because the conferral date was not on the transcripts. The enrollment specialist told me to reach out to my previous school. I did and it was a hassle. I called the enrollment specialist at Capella to advise of the updates to only find out that Capella’s registrar team had already been in contact with my school. I wanted to start on the 5th as it was very discouraging to go through the process to be turned away at last minute. 1). Total waist of time as I took time out of my day to complete orientation and do what they advised of me. 2) I asked to speak with a supervisor who was very vague and could not provide the information needed. 3) I again called Capella to try and escalate the situation, but the manager never returned my call. I feel as if they had me sign up because they were the ones to get paid for each student to enroll and failed to educate me properly in the beginning, which is very misleading and discouraging. Since no one wanted to comply and take responsibility I will be escalating this to the BBB as this is not my fault and I should had been able to start in the promised time given and should have been educated properly.Tearra McCray

The worst university ever! They made me waste my time and my money from the first day, every time I communicated with them each counselor told me something different, and more than a month passed and I did not have an accurate answer on the status of my application, after a month a person from human resources let me know that I had to do my transcripts equivalency again on another website because the one I had already sent twice to them waiting for they review it (and that they themselves told me it was okay to do it that way) was not valid for them to take me into account to start the course this past October. 1- First time the transcripts were not encrypted, so they asked my to ask the institution they send it again but encrypted this time and I did it and sent it again. And after that they let me know that didn’t work for them. So I wasted my time, my money and above all the opportunity to start on the desired date. A very bad job of the staff. Very bad communication with the students who want to start there, and they also contradict each other. They all say different things and waste your time. They are also very rude. From the beginning of my Master's level school search, Capella stood out. I had a great recommendation from a friend already, but in researching complete online programs to work with my schedule, Capella checked all of the boxes I needed. I had a wonderful experience with my admissions counselor and continue to have great interactions with all communication. I am happy with all faculty thus far and feel that I am learning exactly what I need for my future as a school counselor. The course load is what I expected it to be and the time I spend on classwork is time well spent. I feel very confident that I will be prepared to enter the field of school counseling when I graduate. The very first thing Capella does once you are enrolled is to start you in a class to help navigate your program and get you familiar with the online format. This helped immensely and calmed my nerves for entering into a graduate program online. I feel very well cared for and have not had a negative experience yet! Being a transfer student from ISU I'm impressed . The latter statement was 4 years ago. I graduated this year with plans to go to graduate school. The school has issues that, are not taken seriously or are ignored. Many changes, though minor can improve and help student learning at no additional cost. Even with the multitude of problems the university has, they will never be solved unless they hire a mediator to work with students and staff. Such person must have a likable personality and known among the students, professors and staff to properly retrieve information to suggest changes. Our new President is a very likable and devoted individual. But such a position prevents him actually to see what is taking place on campus. The university has provided me an excellent education I could not have gotten from a more prestigious university. The staff and professors go above and beyond what is required of them to help struggling students. The university is very humble in their devotion to students and provide a one on one.service to students. But as I mentioned there are many things in need of change. For example; this is the only university I know that has banking hours for a study environment. The library is the primary place of study but opens at 730 am and closes at 10pm. If you are in need of more studying time your out of luck. They graciously extend the hours by 2 during midterm and finals. Though the the library is over staffed and only one librarian has a devoted concern towards students, beware if you bother the others for help and interrupt their online movies and other activities.Byron Doherty

I was very happy with Kris Jackson she did my tour and always answered me when I had any questions. I started in January of 2021 still in the mist of COVID. I had a good experience, be prepared NOTHING IS EASY you have to study study study. I feel like most of the teachers there really do want to see you do good and will genuinely try to do a lot to help. I struggled a lot but there is always tutoring and someone willing to help. With every school comes drama that has nothing to do with school but just to know. There’s a lot of commitment when signing up so just know what your getting yourself into. The school teaches you a lot you need to know and has plenty of resources if you need more help. Only thing I wish I knew was more things that we could’ve been taught for the “real world” like a lot we get taught we need to know but there is some small things we have to know like trying to find veins by ourself or little tricks other than that I had a good experience. I would recommend if you are able to commit to a long hard program it is very rewarding in the long end.Emily Pham

As a former graduate of VTI and soon to be practicing veterinarian medicine for about a year I cannot thank the staff and mentors enough for caring and teaching me the skills that I use in everyday practice. They were always so thoughtful and there when you needed a helping hand wether it was something as big as tutoring before all classes started or as small as just small words of advice to keep students going through the program. The classes are geared towards exactly what you need to know and all the teachers seem to be very knowledgeable in which subjects they teach. If you are as lucky as me throughout the program you may even adopt your own 4 legged bestfriend you met during kennel duty!! 🙂Haidyn Craig

The Vet Tech Institute is an incredible school that teaches the reality of the animal career field. It teaches self discipline, personal instinct to trust, and an incredible amount of respect for the workers in any animal field. The staff are so incredibly patient and truly show their passion to teach and to love the animals we work with on an everyday basis. Being able to work with animals everyday in class only better creates a self confidence that has to be grown. I attended RUSVM for 4 months and realized during that time I was making a huge financial mistake. Although my dream had always been to become a veterinarian, nobody, and I mean NOBODY should come out of school with $300,000++ in debt with 16% (or more!) interest rates. It seems like theft to me which is the main reason I chose to withdraw. So many of the students I talked to disregarded this fact but it was too big of a life changing factor for me to ignore. If veterinarians made half the amount human doctors do this might be something they could pay off in their lifetime. With a starting salary as low as $30,000/year in some states, the debt to income ratio is completely skewed. I’m not trying to discount the profession, it’s a great career in many ways but it just was not worth it for me. I encourage those interested in becoming a veterinarian to really do their homework first. I’m paying off a massive loan I accrued in just 4 months and have nothing to show for it. I’d suggest looking at other options as Ross is painfully expensive. I will say that the professors are wonderful though. They all seem very passionate about the subject they teach and living on an island in the Caribbean was an amazing experience.Annika Flink

Every school is what you make of it. If you’re looking for large classes. Overwhelmed professors due to large sizes and inconsiderate students here’s the place for you. They don’t care about your success. It’s clear because they keep increasing class sizes but failing so many. It would be nice if they cared more about the livelihood of students rather than increasing class sizes where they have to bring in extra tables to the lecture hall. Not to mention the one library on campus is tiny and seats are always taken. Not enough accommodations for students!! Especially being that these student are far from home ross needs to be a more inviting and learning conducive facilityPaige B

Was a student of MTTI's Medical Coding Program that just graduated this passed June 2022. There were a few bumps in the road during the schooling but overall it is a very good school with active faculty members. Just wanted to review mainly to highlight Mrs Rocc. She is extremely empathetic and tries for every student that enters her classroom. The trick with her is if you are struggling or have a question LET HER KNOW. If she knows she will tell you or guide you depending on scenario. And if she doesn't, she will hands down be right there with you looking for an answer to help! She doesn't give up on students. And she genuinely cares. Even now she checks in on me to see how I'm doing in my career path! Also Shawn the Career coordinator. He is very good at what he does! He will guide you through the school year with resume prep, interview prep, job search, and still emails after you graduated to update you on employment opportunities. He responds back to questions and emails quickly and tries for the students of MTTI. Extremely professional and a great addition to the faculty at MTTI.Katrina C

I had a really great experience both teachers were awesome! I started off not knowing anything about bikes and by the end of the year I restored a whole bike in two months. The teachers were very patient and listened to me whenever I was having trouble. They helped me learn things step by step and went over everything multiple times to make sure everyone understood all the details. The class work and notes were very clear and they gave us a good amount of time to study before each test. The textbooks and shop assignments were very helpful and made everything a lot more clear. It helped me a lot learning in class then going into the shop and doing job sheets and being hands on. They always made sure everyone was on the same page and never rushed. I took the residential and commercial electrical course and came in as a no nothing and left as one of the top students, which I had never done before and I have to thank my instructor Rick and skills instructor Dennis for guiding me through this process. I couldn’t have done it without their knowledge and guiding and believing in me even when I didn’t believe in myself. Going to a school in where you’re actually invested in what’s going on makes learning so much easier because you actually want to be there and are invested. I also want to thank Shawn for making the job search process a breeze and helping me find a quality career. Update: I have been working for 8 months as a dental assistant and they prepared me so much for it. I feel like they really taught us what to do for the actual day to day office environment and they really helped me. Of course the beginning when you start you still have to learn other things but I feel like I was so prepared because of my teachers I highly recommend this program for anyone looking to become a dental assistant! I had initially put up a negative review because of a situation that turns out to be my misunderstanding, completely my fault for not waiting to speak in person because email sometimes there can be some miscommunication and that's completely my bad! Once I went in and spoke to them I realized I was completely wrong and I apologize profusely! So embarrassing that was all me. Clarissa and Onneita are like my little guardian angels! Idalia and Angelica as well! They have been amazing I could not be more happy and so grateful that I've had these people in my life building me up and helping me get to where I need to be. They work so hard on every single students behalf I don't know how they do it! Another part of the program I absolutely loved besides the staff is that it's all inclusive so basically you don't have to worry about coming out of pocket seperately for textbooks, for tests, uniforms, anything like and it helps take stress off of the process. I couldn't recommend this place more it's like you have this team that has your back and help you get through the process and make sure you're successful as possible.Kiley Bueler

Going to Lincoln Tech Somerville was the best decision. Just like many of you, Covid put me out of job and I needed to create a new game plan. The whole admission, Education and faculty are the best group of people I have ever met. I am a student currently wrapping up my dual certification program. From registration to scheduling the experience has been amazing. Everything that I learned online and on campus I have been able to put to to use in the field. All the instructors are the best. The medical industry is growing and they want smart, quick and talented individuals to join there team. Listen, Apply and discipline yourself, these folks will help you in everyway to finish your selected program, Graduate and find a job. You will challenged and pushed everyday. Don't wait for a pandemic to start a new career. Do it because its your calling to care for people. I absolutely love the quality of care my dog Luna gets from Back Bay Vet!! They always make room for emergency (read: unplanned) visits to help Luna feel better. They understand what life with a puppy is about and plan on having a few extra openings for those "oops" visits from young dogs like mine. My previous doctor would easily ship us off to the E.R., but not Back Bay Vet. They make it a priority to heal your dog. The text messages and calls I receive from the team to check on Luna while on treatments are very reassuring, and I know that if I need help they are always super responsive. Back Bay Vet has been taking care of our dog since we got her two and a half years ago. We used to live right around the corner so it was more out of convenience at first but we since moved further away and still go there because the staff and service are great. They are also always very responsive and helpful by email/text outside of any appointments. They are fear-free certified, which our pet needs, and always do what they can to help her go through the experience. As far as I can tell they are also very fair priced given the prime location, certain things are even cheaper for us than some friends in the burbs.Nicolas Depauw

All of the staff at Back Bay Veterinary are absolutely amazing. I have a dog who HATES the vet, it turns my loving dog into Cujo. Since coming to Back Bay, and utilizing the CHILL protocol, the difference in his behavior has improved drastically. While he is still working through his anxiety, he is no longer aggressive by the vet simply touching him. All of the staff at Back Bay have been extremely supportive, and nonjudgmental. My cat sitter recommended Hill and Harbor after my former vet retired. From the first visit I felt relieved and thankful. Every person I interacted with made me feel as though my needs and concerns were their priority. Both Dr. Schoen and Dr. Packard provide the range of information from which I could make choices, and gave honest input in response to my questions. When the time came for me to assess the quality of life my older, special needs kitty had, everyone was kind and caring. The entire staff sent their sympathies, with personal notes about their brief but special memories of my sweet cat. When I arrived to bring her home, they greeted me at the door to ask how *I* was doing (and my kitty at home, looking for her friend). We are so grateful for Hill and Harbour Veterinary Center. Our rescue dog, Ripley, is highly anxious and has issues with her paws. Going to the vet used to be a daunting task before we were recommended to Hill and Harbour. Dr. Packard is truly incredible. She takes the time to explain everything and genuinely cares about your pet’s wellbeing. We are so grateful to see Ripley’s paws get better. Now she can run and jump around like the other pups. Going to preface by saying it’s really hard getting a 5 star review from me especially when it comes to anything related to my furkid. We generally have trust issues and wouldn’t trust just anyone with our pug. We’ve been going to BVC ever since we adopted her late last year, and have been to all 3 outlets. Everyone there is friendly and professional, and the vets check in regularly even after an appointment. Whenever we have a situation that seems more urgent, they are always able to find a slot to fit us in. Every visit we usually speak to the vet tech first who takes really comprehensive notes (which really comes in handy whenever there’s a need to refer to). We never feel rushed during each appointment and every time it’s a very thorough and assuring visit. The vets always answer all our long list of questions. And my dog actually approaches the vet for head scratches 😂 (fear free for the win!). Plus point is that they have 3 outlets and we can always find something to fit in our schedules. So glad to have a trusty vet clinic to go to. Pi loves you’ll ❤️K Ng

There's nothing quite like seeing other people love your pet as much as you do and every time we go to Boston Veterinary that's what we get. Whether it's Dr. Randi or one of the skilled and patient vet-techs, I am always confident and comfortable bringing my pets in for anything large or small. The staff always follows up after sick visits to check in and see how my pets are doing, which is a really nice and unexpected gesture that I appreciate more than I can express. Another, less important perk of bringing my pets to Boston Veterinary Clinic is that they have a wonderful loyalty program and after each visit we accumulate "Brody Bucks" that we're able to put towards treats, medication, or vet services that end up being super helpful. We absolutely adore the staff at both the Bay Village and (newer) Seaport locations and taking a trip to the vet is more of a pleasure than a chore for both me and my dog.Ceara Perez-Murphy

BVC is seriously unparalleled. Because of a move I tried changing vets and…I’d sincerely drive a good distance (outside of a true emergency) to keep going to them, and my cats hate the car. It’s worth it. They make my cats – and me – feel SO comfortable every single time. They treat each animal like they’re a star and an individual. They actually do what’s best for the specific pet and explain things clearly to me as the owner. I can’t remember every doctor or tech I’ve seen over the years but I’ve literally never had a bad experience since 2018 when my first cat was a kitten, and that includes the non-medical staff. Most recently, Abby in the office and Dr. Joey Kaston we’re both just absolutely wonderful. I’m so sad to be moving a plane ride away (because seriously, if it was a reasonable drive, I’d keep them as my vet).Nicole Niss

It has always been a struggle taking Rocky to the vet. He isn’t a fan at all. Dr. Mahaney and the vet tech made him feel so comfortable! And me as well as an anxious dog mama. They fed him cheese and baby food through his muzzle to get him to trust them and at the end of the visit after all hands on duties were completed the muzzle was able to come off! I was so comfortable during the whole visit as was he. The visit lasted about 45 minutes and I feel as though Dr Mahaney really listened and focused in on how to bed help Rocky. I am so beyond happy we made the switch to Oaklawn!! Thank you SO much!! His smile after his visit that day says it all!!!Lindsay Goulet

Dr. Lenk is an incredible vet and human being. Her compassion for animals and humans shines through all of her interactions with our dog Dexter and our family. Dr. Lenk always personally calls us back same day and even when she was off (thank you but self care is important for vets too) 😊 She has guided us in making very difficult decisions. She is honest, and realistic while also being kind in sharing difficult information. We are thrilled with our care at Oaklawn – all the vets have been great at oaklawn but we must give a huge thank you to Dr. Lenk. They were kind and thorough, answering all of my questions and following up when I had concerns.
