20 Best Vet Tech Programs In Phoenix, AZ (2022 Updated)

The level of frustration I have with the financial aid office right now is uncalled for. For two months now, TWO MONTHS I have been attempting to get my financial aid straightened out for the last class I need for my degree. I’ve gone in several times and spoke directly to someone in financial aid, I’ve spoke to someone almost weekly over the phone and now I’m almost two weeks into this class and NOW they tell me I won’t be getting financial aid for this one class. I’ve filled out and had approved form after form, have notifications in my student center stating I will be getting awarded for this class and only this class and now they tell me nope sorry you’re not enrolled in enough credits. What?!!! How many people have opened my account and saw this was the only freaking class I was in?!! Why have me jump through so many hoops if I wasn’t even eligible in the first place? Zero help or communication from anyone in the financial aid department. I urge anyone thinking of going to any Maricopa school to go else where this behavior is consistent across every college within the system. I’m a working single mother, I don’t just have $300 lying around to pay for classes, which is why I applied for financial aid! Thanks for waisting my time and energy for absolutely nothing. I can’t wait to finish this class and finally be don’t with this joke of a school.Megan Welshans

One of the worst customer services I've had to deal with. I bought 15$ dollar headphones and I wanted to return them the same day because they couldn't plug into the school computers. I had ask (in the most generous way) if I could get my money back and get different headphones. I just wanted to do my homework on the school computers. Joana (the lady working at the store) stated that " you can't return these headphones. Once you open them you can't refund them". In my head, I thought to myself ' Any student that opens a textbook can't get their money back even if it's the wrong textbook'? When I first purchased these the same day, she didn't even give me a receipt. she just said thanks & went back on her phone. However, I walked back into the store and then stated that " On the receipt that you didn't give me the first time coming to bookstore stated that "Non-Textbook items may be returned within 30 days of purchases. She then stated that "It doesn't cover all scenarios and situations" She then proceeded to play on her mobile device. Never go to this bookstore unless you want the employees to ignore you.Joseph Perrine

Giving negative stars should be an option. Followed the class plan to get my psychology degree given to my by one counselor only to be told that was wrong the semester I was set to graduate. Got another plan from a different counselor paid out of pocket to take the psych course I WAS TOLD THAT WAS ALL THAT WAS NEEDED, confirmed I completed ALL necessary classes, took time to walk across the stage. When months went by and I hadn't gotten my degree I reached out only yo find that counselor was no longer there and the math class she said I didn't need yo get my degree was needed BUT they don't offer that class anymore. Person I spoke with tried to brow beat and guilt trip me into taking a basic degree. I didn't spend 12k to NOT get the degree I signed up for on day 1. This is a deceptive practice forcing students to taken more classes they don't need because your counselor screwed up 2 OF THEM!!! Shame on you for not owning your mess up and making it right.G H

Paradise Valley Community college is more than just a college because it is truly a community with people who truly care about your success! The teachers, staff, and students all make you feel welcome. The campus is also beautiful to talk a walk around both indoors and outdoors. Buying/renting textbooks and any needed items physically and digitally is a pretty smooth transition! One of the best interactions I had at PVCC was when I was inquiring about enrolling at PVCC in Fall 2020 for the spring semester 2021 as a new student, the supervisor in the PVCC Admissions/Recruitment office for new students (I cannot remember his name… Alex/Josh maybe? He's the main supervisor for new students for PVCC) was SO kind over the phone! He literally talked to me for 30-45 minutes explaining deadlines for FAFSA, placement test advice, payment plans, what scholarships I should apply for, broke down how FAFSA exactly works depending on how many classes you take, and even connected with me about him being a former actor then how he transitioned to getting an educational degree when he went back to school before landing his job with helping college students which was so neat to hear as I'm a Theatre Major so he was not only able to provide some insight as a former artist but he eased my anxious feelings about not knowing everything I needed to do in order to apply because he was very personable and didn't get annoyed at me when I was asking basic questions about enrollment. He was the FIRST college person to break everything down and give me an order of what was important so I could be as successful as possible. I didn't get that type of kind and thoughtful explaining about college when I was in high school applying to colleges. I had talked to other colleges and universities where conversations were off-putting unfortunately they would just say everything you needed to do as a new student within 30 seconds and then get frustrated if you don't understand or needed clarification. I highly recommend PVCC if you're looking to do your Associates Degree, Associate to transfer to a Bachelor's at university, or even to take some classes just for fun because you just want to learn THE THING you've always wanted to do but are scared, do it at PVCC (for me it was dance classes, I finally did my first two dance classes EVER at PVCC and I loved it!).Rebeca Anvik

PVCC not only has a beautiful campus, but also offers a wide variety of programs. Student life events are another great advantage of this college. PVCC actively offers opportunities for students to get involved, and provides support for students to succeed in their academic goals. I have been so impressed with the faculty and how attentive they are to students concerns and needs. The school also does a fantastic job of engaging and empowering students! I have made so many friends through my participation in student clubs and organizations. I’m graduating from the nursing program this semester, and I am so thankful for the education and experiences I have been provided. The Nursing professors are outstanding! They are supportive, encouraging, uplifting, professional, and hold their students to a high level of learning and comprehension. This program has helped me become successful in my academic and career goals. I wouldn’t trade my experience at PVCC for anything!Audrey Fish

I do my running on the track, it's not the most modern up-to-date facility when it comes to their sports courts, it could use some upgrades, but it's free and it's a very nice setting and backs up to the golf course, and it's better than running on the concrete streets. Not sure how the community college itself is it looks real nice I'm sure it's beautiful I just use the sports facilities outdoors.Thomas Uhlenberg

I would not recommend this school, I am truly and whole heartedly regretful of choosing this school over all of the other options I had. Something about this school stood out to me, and the counselors here try really hard to get you in. I do not identify with Christian faith and I am not religious at all so I initially felt weird about going to this school, but they mention multiple times that they accept all faiths and backgrounds so I felt better. However, upon talking their forced “Christian Worldview” class, the teacher grades with an iron fist for a 101 class and is just awful. My GPA for sure was going to plummet due to this stupid 101 class that they force on you. Honestly it was so ridiculous that I felt the need to reach out to my advisor. I was trying to come up with a solution because I felt some type of way about this. I suggested them placing me with a different teacher, since this teacher has AWFUL reviews going back years yet they do nothing about it. However they pretty much told me I still had to take the class, I could not switch to another teacher (you cannot pick your own teachers by the way which is huge for me now). Their only solution was that “another teacher would review my work.” This turned me off so bad from the entire school that I ended up withdrawing due to principal which messed up my financial aid. They honestly did not care one bit and obviously know there is a problem but do nothing to address it. I was so turned off that I chose to mess up my financial aid and just pick another school, there was no way that I was finishing out my degree here after this. Go elsewhere !!Taylor

I am an Atheist. I chose this college because it had the focus I was looking for, the delivery method was fully online so I could continue to work, and the price was the best around. I did not feel like being of the Christian faith was a prerequisite. My instructors and professors were not pushy with religion, and for a master's program, I felt like I was able to learn what was necessary for the field I was in. I have a Master's degree and 2 focuses now from GCU and I couldn't be happier with my education and experience. The guidance counselors were great, the financial aid process was easy, and I'm grateful for GCU and all they have done for me.April Wittmeyer

Parking in Garage building#7 on 33rdAvewas the best for going into the areana. We had to checkin at theguard station, drive around it then enter the parking garage. Parking was allowed on the 2ndfloor and above. It was the AFHE homeschool senior graduation. The campuswas very green. The areana was building #38 there is a museum to JERRY COLANGELO here and a beautiful tripple cross monument. The restrooms are spacious and everything but the soap dispensers are automated. As someone who isn’t from the USA and relocated from United Kingdom , it was important that I made the correct choice when it came to education in the United States , after doing my research and reaching out to different schools who have a massage program I chose gateway because from the first contact with Mr Tapscott he was super friendly , passionate and helpful , he made sure I had all the information I needed and he directed me to the right place to complete my registration to the program . The price is amazing and they definitely can charge way more for the service they provide , gateway and especially Mr Tapscott made the process so easy and comfortable . My first day of class was so welcoming and they went the extra mile to make sure I/ we students were comfortable , I had the best experience at gateway and this experience was due to my fellow classmates but mostly for the teachers attitude and pride in teaching , Mr Tapscott , ms bouer, and mr Ybarra were amazing , they are so good at what they do and the effort and dedication they put in to each and every student sets them apart from any other education opportunity I’ve taken , we created a family and this includes the teachers , they allowed us to learn at our own pace and didn’t disrespect us , they encouraged us , the material in the program was inspiring and the method of teaching made the learning fun , it was a pleasure to go to gateway for the 9 months of the program and I looked forward to seeing my teachers and classmates everyday throughout the course , the program allows for Externship which gives us the opportunity to work with others in the community also work with employers of massage therapy , it gives you an insight to what to expect after the program . This in my option gives you the experience and confidence to be successful in your future , I love Mr Tapscott and is in my opinion an amazing teacher , a kind , honest , trustworthy person who has pride in his work , he has a pride for everything he does or talks about , I couldn’t of asked for a better college to attend and I am blessed to be apart of the experience and to see people who are passionate about what they do to improve peoples lives . I felt included and that I had a voice within this experience. I recently graduated from the Massage Therapy Program at Gateway. Mr. Tapscott and his team were the most supportive, inspirational, knowledgeable and humorous group of instructors I have ever studied under. Mr. Tapscott taught the online portion of the course that was heavily weighted in anatomy, physiology and introduction to massage therapy. Mr. Tapscott was always offering assistance to students and following up on financial aid, GI Bill funding, finding places to do externships, or assisting with any other issues the students may have faced. The lab portions of the class were taught by Mr. Ybarra and Ms. Bauer, both experienced massage therapists, both dedicated to successful outcomes for all the students. Mr. Ybarra is known for his demonstrations on various massage and stretching techniques during labs. All three instructors shared a great many stories of their experiences in the massage industry. This team of teachers worked very well together and created an environment where the students felt proud to be part of the class and continuously improved in their massage skills through out the course. Each teacher has a great sense of humor, will be direct if there are issues to address but they are always respectful and professional. The program was also the start of many long lasting friendships and a successful future in the massage industry for myself. I highly recommend the Gateway Massage Therapy Program for anyone that has a desire to improve peoples lives.Kathleen Dimitruck

DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL!!! I have been attending this school for a while. When I had enrolled I wasn’t given proper information. I do online school and I’ve been struggling with math and biology and to my surprise the instructors do not put the effort in to help other students online. I went in to speak to an advisor and low and behold she didn’t help either. I have a learning disability and stated that information to the advisor and the best answer she gave me was “unfortunately we don’t have special services for students who have disabilities” I’m in the process of getting my associates degree in DMS and no advisors informed me before I started the program that I needed to take an HESI Exam. Another thing is for students who do the online classes, students have to their webcams on to take the tests/quizzes but don’t require it during other class time such as completing assignments. IM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS SCHOOL!!! THERE IS NO HELP WHAT SO EVER AND DONT HELP STUDENTS SUCCEED!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! And because I struggle in math, I’ve tried free Tutoring and they only available for an hour and if you need more time you need to make a new appointment. An hour gets 3 questions done and they still don’t walk you through the process.Monica Balderrama

Mesa has a lot of great classes and opportunities but there are major issues. The sign up process for classes is confusing, many of the pathways online that are supposed to show you the courses you need for degrees are incorrect. Of course you should contact advisors to figure out which classes you need, but it is nearly impossible. There are so few advisors and very little availability. As of right now it asks you to make in person appointments with them and yet there are never any slots open. You can email advising which takes 2-3 days to get a response. You can try and call their office and wait on hold for an hour just to eventually get hung up on. It is in no way the advisors faults, anyone I have actually been able to contact has been as helpful as possible, but it is so hard to get a response or any help. I signed up for courses that the online pathway said I needed only to find out that they weren't actually necessary for my degree and others were. When I went to drop the courses and add the new ones it wouldn't let me because I owe money for the courses I am still enrolled in that haven't even started yet. So, I cannot sign up for the correct courses, have no clue which classes I actually need and cannot find advisors to help. I understand during the pandemic it is difficult for universities to find staff and help, but even before COVID Mesa was still just as inefficient. Mesa just needs to improve their communication and assistance with students, it would solve so many issues.Taylor Pouncey

MCC has a fantastic non-credit program for older adults: NFLL, or New Frontiers for Lifelong Learners. For an extremely reasonable fee, I sign up for as many of the program's classes as I please. They're online, in-person, or a mix of the two. There are also some field trips; we've just gone to a free day at the Desert Botanical Gardens, and next week there will be a trip to the new one in Queen Creek for a fee. A class on WW2 planes had a trip to Falcon Field, etc. Over the last few years I've taken classes in history, tech, health, music, and much more! There are also groups for discussion, playing games, hiking for 3 different levels, etc., as well as social and service activities. In-person classes are at MCC Mesa and Red Mtn campuses usually. Some classes have been through Great Courses, and many lecturers are former teachers/professors or experts in their field. Check it out–great program at low price! Update: on-campus classes are so easy to get to: it's a small campus (either Dobson or Red Mountain), and the free parking is ample and easily accessible.Natalie Satterthwaite

So I just signed up today.. I think which is the problem. There’s like 5 people sitting at a desk “helping” people get set up but they did absolutely nothing to help me get signed up they didn’t tell me I couldn’t sign up for my class the same day as I walked in and told them exactly what class I wanted and that I never attended college before. They don’t tell me it’s some weird 24 hour wait for the account to start working and they also did not at all clarify to make sure to take the student photo because now that I chose to skip that because NOBODY helped me I’m unable to finish my application lol hice apparently if I don’t finish in 48 hours will be deleted? They also didn’t tell me that. So this has been an absolutely awful experience thus far and I haven’t even been able to join a class yet.Ryan Jorgensen

I have a mobility scooter because I can't walk very well anymore. This scooter is electric and I don't go very far on it as it has a limited range. The park I go to some times is far (in a wheelchair). I cut through the north campus parking lot 100's of yards from any building to save some battery. I felt dejected today when I was accosted by one of the campus police telling me to leave as is a closed campus. It did not feel like it was for my safety as much as him exerting his authority. I was just cutting the corner of the campus away from anyone. Edit: This happened around noonish on the same day I posted. I decided to take 2 classes this semester, both in person classes. One started in September and the other in October. My September class is amazing! I love the teacher and the curriculum. My October class was switched to online only days before it was supposed to start- I paid and signed up for an in person class specifically, and was not notified by anyone that it had been moved to online, leaving me with one day to find another class, or bite the bullet and do an online class. Very unhappy with the communication of the school.carly

They are a horror story. 2018 I applied for being a personal trainer. They put me in a weird stack of classes including world religion and other classes. They said I can't change no matter a student advisor's mistake. When I dropped classes they claimed I owed them almost $400 for their mistake and out a freeze on my FAFSA.Scandy Italian Ice

I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Bryan University. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Advanced Professional Fitness Training and Exercise Science. The training was top notch and immediately applicable to real-world situations. All the instructors I encountered have a sincere desire to help students become successful. Since graduating, I have obtained a senior management position in a local high-end fitness club and the ability to start my own successful fitness business. I have also become an Adjunct Strength and Conditioning Instructor at my local Community College and started a fitness video-cast with a fellow Bryan University graduate. The education I received at Bryan University enabled me to become a volunteer strength and conditioning coach for a local high school football team as well as provide Pro Bono fitness classes for people who usually cannot afford such services. Finally, I have expanded my business to specialize in physique competitors, which has been a challenging and rewarding endeavor. All due to the foundation received at Bryan University. No University is perfect, but Bryan was as close as they come. Strongly consider Bryan University to reach the next level.RJ Pruitt

I just graduated from Bryan back in October with my BS in Exercise Science. I was a little bit skeptical about taking online courses, but once I got into it I found for me it was the only way to go. It fit well into my schedule, and for most mods you were in an actual online class. So you got to see fellow classmates and your instructors. Courses were challenging but not more than you can handle. I continued to work full time while completing my course work. Also, they have great instructors at Bryan University. They are very knowledgeable and were always willing to lend a helping hand if I had any questions about a class or assignment, or if I needed more help understanding a specific topic. Can't say enough about the instructors I had. I am currently a fitness director and personal trainer at a local athletic club, and also a strength coach at a local Catholic high school. Literally within a week of my graduation I got a job offer at one of the premier fitness clubs in the country. I would highly recommend Bryan U to anyone looking to gain the knowledge they need to further their career.Mike Ferris

I stumbled into Bryan University unsure if I was ready to go back to school. To say I was scared would be an understatement, so many things I didn't think of prior suddenly popped up. I originally signed up to attempt my Associates degree after three years I finished with my Bachelors because of Bryan University I am now working towards my Masters. Almost every question I ever had was quickly answered by one of the amazing faculty. The interaction with my instructors made everything possible, they not only shared their knowledge in teaching us, they shared their own success and failures along their way to help us better understand the information while helping prepare us for our next steps. I absolutely love the RT program here, the instructors are probably the best I have ever had. They have super high standards, but they also help you reach those high standards. The school is a bit pricey, but you get helpful instructors, with real experience, and who are ready to assist you whenever you need it. Plus, the hands on experience in class is a huge benefit. The only two downsides is not the program itself, but the food and beverage options in the school “cafe”, and the uniforms. For the price of the program, the uniforms are very stiff, and definitely nothing close to decent quality. So, if your enrolling, make sure to put some $$ aside to buy comfortable scrubs that actually fit you. As for the cafe, it would be great to have a real coffee machine (not instant coffee), so we don’t have the need to go off campus for caffeine. Overall though, I love my program, the instructors, and the new career PIMA is helping me prepare for. I definitely would recommend PIMA to anyone who wants to actually start a new medical career!Christina Romero

This school is easy to get started at. I was admitted to the RT program immediately after taking some brief tests and completing a mock study schedule. It is not a cheap option, but the wait list for cheaper schools is two years long…so I decided to get my schooling done rather than wait. I hope that the high price of education here all goes to the instructors, because they are the only worthwhile part of attending here. The admissions staff will make whatever promises they need to make to get you signed up, even if it is something they can’t deliver. The facility and equipment is old. The programs are fast paced and will leave you behind unless you are serious about learning the material.Derek Aaron

Choosing Pima Medical Institute and their Respiratory Therapy program was one of the best decisions my family and I have made. The program was very thorough and straightforward in the teachings. The thing I enjoyed the most was the constant engagement you were able to have with the instructors. Everyone is very open and willing to help in any situation whether it was school related or just life in general. The PD is amazing and she will do everything in her power to make sure you are not only a successful graduate but you are a successful RRT for many years to come. This is the premiere place if you are interested in getting into the medical field! I am currently in the Medical Assistant program and completed the Nursing Assistant program last year. When on externship for the Nursing, it was a night and day difference between Pima and the other schools. Pima clearly has a finger on the pulse (no pun intended) of what medical offices are looking for and delivers exceptionally. When I was looking at getting into a program, naturally I started looking at the Community Colleges given the cost. Many have lengthy waiting lists to enter and the quality of education pales in comparison to Pima. I knew of Pima and had heard good things, but thought I would not be able to afford it. After some saving I put myself through the NA program (it was $1600.00) as the US Dept. of Ed doesn't offer financial aid for such a low amount. However, being in the MA program, I was in fact able to obtain financial aid. Pima is a bit more expensive than other places. However, the programs are fast tracked because you are learning core subjects, things you will actually use in the real world. Not electives and other nonsensical classes that aim to have you be a "well rounded individual" but ultimately do a disservice as the length of time to graduate and get a job is much longer. Plus, if you're looking at the medical field, you probably have an idea of what it takes and are already pretty well rounded. I am about to turn 40. It is never too late to get into a new career! If you are looking to get on the fast track to a career and are interested in learning in a fun and focused environment, I highly recommend coming to Pima. I attended Pima medical institution to become a veterinarian assistant. I love on how they teach you in the program on what to know in order to become an assistant. The teacher Dr. Watson I love on her energy and the way she teaches the class, she can be pushy, but she never gives up on you easily. Im now working at an awesome clinic and I’m really loving my job, the veterinarians they’re very nice to work with. I’m thinking of becoming a veterinarian technician so I’ll definitely come back to Pima to attend classes soon. I was very happy with Kris Jackson she did my tour and always answered me when I had any questions. I started in January of 2021 still in the mist of COVID. I had a good experience, be prepared NOTHING IS EASY you have to study study study. I feel like most of the teachers there really do want to see you do good and will genuinely try to do a lot to help. I struggled a lot but there is always tutoring and someone willing to help. With every school comes drama that has nothing to do with school but just to know. There’s a lot of commitment when signing up so just know what your getting yourself into. The school teaches you a lot you need to know and has plenty of resources if you need more help. Only thing I wish I knew was more things that we could’ve been taught for the “real world” like a lot we get taught we need to know but there is some small things we have to know like trying to find veins by ourself or little tricks other than that I had a good experience. As a former graduate of VTI and soon to be practicing veterinarian medicine for about a year I cannot thank the staff and mentors enough for caring and teaching me the skills that I use in everyday practice. They were always so thoughtful and there when you needed a helping hand wether it was something as big as tutoring before all classes started or as small as just small words of advice to keep students going through the program. The classes are geared towards exactly what you need to know and all the teachers seem to be very knowledgeable in which subjects they teach. The Vet Tech Institute is an incredible school that teaches the reality of the animal career field. It teaches self discipline, personal instinct to trust, and an incredible amount of respect for the workers in any animal field. The staff are so incredibly patient and truly show their passion to teach and to love the animals we work with on an everyday basis. Being able to work with animals everyday in class only better creates a self confidence that has to be grown. I started the Respiratory Therapy program in 2007, as a non-traditional student seeking some sort of career in the medical field, but having no background in medicine whatsoever. It was hands down the best decision I ever made in terms of career choices. My instructors and the Program Director were patient, knowledgeable, and so caring. I graduated and was able to find work in the field right away here in Tucson. I loved the culture at Pima Medical Institute so much that I came back 10 years later to teach, helping to educate future RTs in the field. I whole heartedly recommend PMI-Tucson nursing program. This is not your typical nursing school. Yes, it is accelerated, but they care! I am a student that travels from Phoenix every week to attend school, and both the program director Mrs. Wiebelhaus and the clinical director Mrs. Morelli regularly check-in to make sure I am doing okay. When I got sick and had to miss two weeks of class, my instructors made sure I had all the notes and homework so that I did not fall behind. PMI is a wonderful school to attend for nursing! I absolutely love my instructors, and I know they genuinely care about me and the level of education I receive. So much thought is put into each individual class, and there are many resources to reach out to if you need additional help. This review is for the Pharmacy Technician program at the San Marcos, CA campus, taught by Mrs. Becker. I am a graduate and was taught by Mrs. Becker. A 5-star experience. Mrs. Becker is passionate about teaching her profession. She truly cares about her students – she strives to get to know them, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and works with them to get them to success. The class meets for 4 hours per day, 5 days a week in a clean, modern classroom. I found it to be a safe, welcoming, and diverse environment. Really important for me: Mrs. Becker not only has outstanding integrity and professional credentials, but also a sense of humor! An actual pharmacist, who is wonderfully approachable, experienced, and caring, Mrs. Baca, comes in to teach certain classes, and substitutes for Mrs. Becker when needed. Together, they make a great team. A broad range of subject matter is covered, for example, math, law, pharmacology, customer service, and "hands-on" preparation of prescriptions (using mock ingredients of course). The program enabled me to get my state Pharmacy Technician license AND earn a certificate in sterile compounding before I even graduated! If you complete the program, you'll definitely be a competitive candidate in the job marketplace.Charles Griffin

As a former student in PIMA's OTA program, I can say that the OTA students probably have the most fun out of all the programs! The campus is really nice and located next to alot of resturaunts, which made getting lunch easy. Since the campus is fairly new all the OTA equipment is new and in good condition. Additionally, OTA labs were always engaging and applicable when working with actual patients during FW. Classes were a bit fast-paced, however, this is an accelerated program. Additionally, all the instructors were amazing and have great experience within different areas of OT which stood out in their ability to teach certain subjects. They also went out of their way to ensure that every student was successful in this program, which I appreciated. Occupational therapy is an amazing career that is versatile and allows you to specialize in different areas such as neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, etc. It is a rewarding career that challenges you as a practitioner to think outside the box to ensure the best health outcome for your patients while looking through a holistic lens. If this sounds like a career that you are interested in, I would definitely look into joining PIMA's OTA program.melanie chhea

Currently enrolled in the respiratory therapy program and have had a great experience so far. The instructors go above and beyond to make sure we have what we need, with constant check ins for students. Everyone is there to help, all you need to do is ask and there’s full transparency. I would recommend others to join in getting their healthcare career started. Notably we have instructors that know their stuff and not just that actually care about how we are learning. My hubby have been so excited and prepared to start this coming session since the month of March. He had to wait till November because a new session started a week ago before he went in to the school. Mind you, He has rejected 4 job offers because he doesn't want what would interfere with his school work in the future. I have never seen a school administration this horrible. We are paying our own money for this school, but they don't even seem to care about their reputation. Right from my husband's time taking the exams to get in the program with the school earlier this year. An interview is required by the school, meanwhile the school administration rescheduled at the last minute. My husband got to the school for the interview at 12:02pm (Interview time is 12:00pm). He got sent back at 12:10pm that he was late for the interview. Meanwhile they can reschedule interviews at last minute, very bad with communication, I mean….. come on now, they haven't even call back or emailed. it's irritating that I'd rather let hubby continue with his master's degree than that school.Opeyemi Olorunfemi

By far the best school I’ve attended, everyone is attentive and show interest in wanting to help the best they can. Instructors are awesome I have nothing but great experience from this school. I graduated with honors and now work in an Urgent Care, they prepared me the best they know how. I wouldn’t trade Pima for any other. I definitely recommend you attend Pima, you won’t regret it. I participated in an Advisory Board meeting and wasd very impressed with the campus, instructors and administration. The MA department is really doing all that they can to provide their students the greatest tools for success. The meeting was conducted very professionally and orderly. Pima Medical Institute in Chula Vista, CA has been a great educational experience for me. After completing their Vet Tech program, I feel confident in the skills I have learned & fully prepared to enter the animal medical field with a solid knowledge base. Everyone at the Chula Vista campus have been very helpful & supportive during the ~2 years of my educational path. Specifically, Diane O’Brien, RVT is a well informed instructor who combined professionalism & nerdy humor seamlessly, which made a fast-paced curriculum quite fun for me. I started school at Pima to do the VA course I give a huge shout out to Ms. Brooks she is amazing she is super knowledgeable and will teach you everything to prepare you for this career. Love this school the teachers are amazing, specifically Ms J and Ms Perez in the dental assisting program they have been such a big help for me throughout my schooling here at Pima, they also helped me with my first dental assisting job and I was able to get paid during my extern thanks to them 🙂 I also would like to mention Mrs. Martha she was also very nice to me and helped me with my extern very professional as well. When I found Pima, I was still trying to finish high school. A friend told me that Pima could help me with that. So I decided to schedule the appointment and meet with admissions. Walking through the front door of Pima, you're greeted by the most friendly people with such welcoming smiles. Everyday, I walk through the doors to go to class and I always get a "Hi Hannah!" from Melissa at the front desk. It always makes me smile. I met with Mandy for my admissions meeting and as we started to talk about me and why I was there, I began to get emotional. She listened. She let me cry. And she helped me find a way to start my journey. And I couldn't thank her enough. When I went into Pima that day, I didn't think it was going to be a program I'd finish. I hadn't finished anything yet. So I didn't see this working either. Boy, was I wrong! After meeting with Mandy, I got to meet Stacey, the director. She was amazing! We talked and laughed and she helped me feel so welcome at Pima. It took me less than a month to finish the half of high school I needed because this team at Pima had my back. They checked on me and made sure I had the help and support I needed. And even invited me to a graduation ceremony to show me that even though I wasn't graduating a Pima program, it still mattered that I graduated! Mandy helped me find a program that fit my personality. And now, I'm 2 weeks away from starting my externship in Phlebotomy. Mrs. Tracey is an absolutely wonderful teacher! She has taught us all how to safely and correctly perform Phlebotomy. She's the best teacher I have ever had. She supports us and cares about us. And I really wish class wasn't over yet, because I'll miss her. Pima is a wonderful school with an amazing and supportive staff. I will never forget them! Thank you all for EVERYTHING!scitulzz66

I am currently in the Vet Assistant program here at Pima!!! I have not been in school for 25 years so I was really nervous and hesitant to start. I must say I am so happy I did. Choosing Pima has been the greatest decision I’ve ever made. Miss Lori was amazing with my prerequisite classes. Miss Julie Carlson is my current on campus teacher for my Vet Assistant program and I have learned so much from her. I am so grateful that she is my main teacher for my program! My experience in the Vet Tech and Vet Assist programs have been so amazing. The teachers here try their best to help their students and open opportunities for them. Chris in the Assist programs was an amazing teacher and wanted the best for her students and truly wanted to see her students succeed. Kati in the Tech program really cares for her students and tries her best to get us amazing hands on experiences by reaching out to different organizations. Dr. Lopez's compassion is insurmountable. I was skeptical of acupuncture and wasn't quite sure if it would really help. But, with a 12 year German Shepherd mixed dog who had hip dysplasia and could barely walk as she reached these senior years – I thought I might as well give it a try. I can't even begin to tell you the difference it made. With this treatment, we extended her life by at least 8 months – not to mention the quality. Just remarkable. Dr. Lopez was compassionate and gentle during all treatments and when we started to reach the end of her life she went above and beyond checking in with us – calling us on her day off even. Have used DC Ranch Animal Hospital for my dogs for the past ten years. I have gone through aging dogs to new puppies during this time and have used their medical, surgical, grooming, dental and all other types of care. Julie and her staff have been wonderful throughout. The care they give the dogs and the owners as well when the end is near has been superb. As an MD I am in a position to judge somewhat better than the average person and I would say the use of lab studies, x-rays and consultants has been thoughtful, appropriate and helpful. My dog has had health issues for about 2 years now and he was first seen by Dr. Lopez in 2018. She was professional, compassionate, realistic and reasonable back in 2018 and still is. I know that when I bring my dog to DC Ranch, he will be in the best care with her. Melody is a vet tech at this hospital and is nothing short of amazing! They truly care about all the fur babies that come in to see them and will do their best to help the patients and the owners. I would recommend Animal Medical Center of Deer Valley . I have been taking my Kitties there since 2010.. Dr .Bower and his staff are friendly, compassionate, and take get pride in helping our animals . We have been with Dr Lee since he first moved to Pinnacle Peak. He is THE BEST! Our 1.5 year old hound dog was close to dying because he ate something he should not have. Dr Lee came in on his day off to do emergency surgery on him. Today less than a week later our Buddy is almost back to normal. We’ve also had two other vets in Dr Lees office treat us and our animals in such a caring way. Everyone is helpful and care so much about the pets and the families. Oh my word where has this vet mobile unit been all these many years!! They were so amazing with my cat. They were so very gentle with him and stress level compared to bringing in a carrier for appointment outside his home would have been so over the top. They came into my home and the experience was alot less stressful, to say the least. Both Dr. Lieu [fantastic vet] and Chelsea [the amazing tech] took him at his own pace by sitting with him on the floor in the bathroom together for his exam. To top everything they even brought him a treat to which he devoured every last drop. He would like to say thanks it was so yummy!! This whole experience was top notch, very professional and caring team that I would welcome back again anytime. The BEST experience we have ever had with a vet. Even better that when they have a mobile service! I usually don’t right reviews but in this case, after the service I immediately thought about writing a review! Dr. Cara & Technician Sydney did a phenomenal job, and they left us in “WOW” once they left. My husband and I have a pit-bull, he is not aggressive but gets really anxious. Before they met him they sat and chatted with me to get to know more about Kobe. I dreaded annual vet visit due to previous experiences with vets and just wanted to be in and out and didn’t ask question. Which made Kobe seem like an aggressive pit-bull with the excessive barking he would do. I could go on and on about how well Dr. Cara & Technician Sydney did today. Absolutely top-notch service. They arrived at my home earlier in their time-window than expected. They were very quick & efficient, important things when you have to try & keep a cat standing still for a while. You can tell they love pets, they did their best to make the examination & vaccinations as quick & painless as possible. Services cost slightly more than the average vet but are completely worth it. My cat is absolutely terrified of car rides & this makes things so much easier for me & much less traumatizing for my cat. They have almost every service a regular vet's office would have, even surgeries (they have a bus-like vehicle, converted into a mobile veterinary hospital), only emergency services require a referral to an office.Bob Lambert

I’m a student transfer from a different state which I attended Carrington college. I recently relocated back to Az in hopes to finish nursing school here. I struggled where I came from trying to work only as needed so I can go full time in nursing school. Where I’m from classes were only offered during the day. I moved back to Az so I can work full time again and attend classes in the evenings. I lost almost everything I had where I was because of not working Harley any hours. Here, I can attempt to pay bills by working full time days and still go to classes in the evenings. I put in 4 out of 6 semesters with Carrington. The Mesa campus director, Antonio Thompson, took that from me. I pay out of pocket because I have exhausted my financial aid on a different degree that still pays very little. Young, and thinking I was doing the right thing many years ago, as the first to go to college in my family, I attended a private school which ate up my financial aid. Little did I know that there was only so much FA you can borrow to get through your bachelors. Antonio Thompson made a decision to not enroll me because of a balance I cannot afford to pay up front. I struggled to make payments. It’s not easy to survive on your own with no other income and attend nursing school, and because I can’t pay up front, he took my dream and life away. I’ve been depressed ever since. I’ve been in healthcare 20+ years and I know I would be an outstanding RN. I’ve worked in the ICU and managed in healthcare. It’s amazing how an individual wants to make a life for themselves and just be educated can be told no… basically you’re not good enough for us to educate you because you can’t afford it. I’m not trying to get free education. I’m trying to better my life so I can pay all my bills, including my student loans.Kat

Unprofessional. Went to school here in 2018 but couldn’t finish it off. I contacted them a little over a YEAR ago so I can restart my path. Was in touch with Ernesto and out of nowhere stop receiving replies. I sent emails left messages and even went to the school. Every time was promised to be contacted. But I didn’t know it would take A WHOLE YEAR! Ernesto just contacted me today, a whole year later after I first inquired about the school. No thank you. First semester was great. Second and third had so many staffing issues. Teaching was inconsistent and had professors leave and be replaced mid way through. The financial aide department is a complete mess. I received three different financial plans from three different financial planners stating that after financial aid, I owed out of pocket ranging from $1600- $19000. A little bit of discrepancy there. Two stars. One for my enrollment advisor, Maribel and second semester. Other than that , the staff and quality of instruction we received in the third semester leaves much to be desired.George Ruiz

Bubba was our 11 year old Mastiff. He was such a sweet good boy. He had suddenly taken a turn for the worst and was laboring to breathe. Watching him suffer was the most painful sight. We had called many places for help and All About Restful Pets were the only ones willing to come that night. Their prices were reasonable, the vet was compassionate, and the staff was helpful and sensitive. During an extremely hard time, they were an answer to prayer. We didn’t want to let Bubba go, but being able to surround him with love and family, peacefully at home, was the best way to say goodbye. All About Restful Pets has struck a beautiful balance of expertise and tenderness. When our oldest cat look a sudden turn for the worse two weeks ago, we turned to All About Restful Pets to help him pass peacefully at home. From initial intake and scheduling to the visit by the doctor and then postmortem items (follow up, cremation, etc.) the staff were kind, sympathetic, patient and competent. Thanks to this wonderful team, we were allowed to spend the final moments with our baby in an atmosphere of peace and love. Saturday was truly the worst day of my entire life. We said goodbye to our best friend Bella, our 17 year old Queensland Heeler (cattle dog). We rescued her on our first wedding anniversary when she was 3 and has been our constant companion and traveled the world with us. Dr Falcone gave Bella the most tender, peaceful send off we could have ever hoped for. I highly recommend All About Restful Pets and Dr Falcone. I’ll have a hole in my heart forever for losing this girl, but she lived a long, beautiful life and had a proper send off with all our love. And all dogs DO go to heaven! ❤️🌈🐾Alexis Magness
