We were working on our project (Our Green Hope) today where we used 3000 reusable bags to make the largest mosaic. The worker at the campus were friendly and supportive. After finishing the project, all the 3K bags were given for FREE at Kroger to encourage people to start using reusable bags instead of plastic grocery bags. Im a criminal Justice major and i like program except one huge thing it needs more hands traning so you prepared for the job once you graduate and not have move on for four degree and they need to have dorminties to live on i hardly see people on campus it almost empety they have two many campuses they need to have one and the paint falling off the school. The advisors are literally the worst I have seen. They are basically unaware of how to advise, impossible to reach, don't follow through, and give no recommendations on pre requisite classes. Now the health science department is even worse. The instructors pride themselves on a high failure percentage. They deviate from school policy and ALL Bio 210 and 211 professors are arrogant and unwilling to support your child. Stay away from the arrogant professors, AND they don't care about your future.AB Gentry

this technical college is the best technical college in south carolina, there was a problem with the workers at the edgefield campus, they lost my transcripts, and they tried to cancel my advisement appointment so they could meet their boyfriend in the parking lot, the students at the edgefield campus were rude, and trashy, they are not going to stop me from going there, the classes that you have to take are wonderful, the instructional methods are excellentJessica Taylor

They failed to disclose requiring an absolutely pointless "cornerstone" style class until refusing to let me register for classes for not having taken a useless waste of money course that they didn't tell me I was supposed to waste money on. Now, I'd need special permission, have to take the course on site, and would have to register for only that class (so financial aid goes out the window and loans come due!) I visited Northcentral Technical college for my son who is a senior in Elkhorn high school who made it to the semi-finals for WI Esports for the game Smite and they hosted the competition for the semi-finals and finals for numerous games from high schools all over WI and I had a great time and the campus was awesome and really nice, the set up was awesome and everyone was so welcoming, I'd go back anytime!!!Elizabeth Orwig

I graduated in the Summer of 2018, and I wanted to say overall my experience with OCTC had been good and not very much complaint, but I do have to say that I do not appreciate the way they shipped my AA diploma, and I know others have complained about this too. They shipped it in a flimsy envelope as if the achievement didn't deserve a better way of shipping. The certificate was crinkled on the edges and was bent down the middle. Overall I was able to flatten it out and frame it and was okay, but the lack of respect to graduates on this is kind of sad on OCTC's part. Future reference please do not treat your graduates this way. I wouldn't mind having a new one reshipped to me properly this time, and if I do get one then I will give OCTC a better rating. I recently finished my second Technical degree for Metal Fabrication as a returning student. I delayed going back to school for years for lots of reasons, but mostly because I thought it would be as awful of an experience as High School was. Instead the teachers in my program were excellent. I was always challenged by the projects and supported in my learning in equal measure. If you're looking to get into welding or Metal Fabrication, these programs are career fields that need people, pay well, and you can learn them here! Don't sleep on the trade skills that can be taught here. Go to the open houses, see if these are things you're interested in doing. A 4 year degree isn't The guarantee of employment it used to be, but these one year Technical degrees, leading to in demand fields are.Travis H

Very nice tech college. Almost everyone you come across on campus can point you in the right direction. I just started school today online. But tomorrow I get to go to campus. It's a clean sanitary environment. There is currently some remodeling going on, so part of the building you cannot access… yet! AC was on, felt awesome. temperature didn't change much room to room either. All the employees seem to know their job very well and are willing to help. I chose Madison Area Technical College because I know many people that have graduated and successfully got into a job they wanted. This school is also smaller than UW Madison so I feel like the learning experience is better, more hands on, more participation versus a large school such as UW Madison.Shane Toycen

The good profs here are all just professors moonlighting from UW Madison, I'd honestly say you should apply to and go to literally any other UW system school before here. The quality of education isn't bad- but they somehow managed to misplace finances and put 650 bucks into collections randomly – without mailing me any notifications, and without a notifications on the online portal. You won't get competency from any of the administrative staff, expect 5 week long waits to see a counselor for any sort of urgent need. If you are a student with a disability – make sure you have additional copies of any medical documentation, they will claim to lose it. Most of the education staff despises the administrative staff and yeah, I can see why.Bee

Not a fan of this place but sadly do not have many options in my area staff say they are always there yet when you need them seem to be nowhere to be seen I called numerous times and non stop to a woman named Kim Ford she would never answer an I couldn't get a hold of anyone she was very rude an when I tried to drop the class felt like she was bullying me an teasing me for the reason she took a private matter an made it into a joke as I read her notes she sent to the other staff who work there. I felt embarrassed and violated that she would turn a private matter into a joke…and I also thought it was very convenient for her to finally answer her phone after the time was up that I would be charged for dropping the class…she is very uptight snarky and has a giant ego. Dealing with the staff here is difficult sometimes. I was supposed to start this past fall semester, and was told for three months via email that I was ready to go and that all I need to do was come down and register for my classes. I ended up waiting until the last day (which is my part of the fault in this, I should've gone sooneer) to go down to register for my classes. I sit and wait for two and a half hours, which I understand, they were busy. Then I get back to the advisor and she tells me there is a $20 transcript review fee that I haven't paid, and that because the registrar left a half hour ago while I was in the waiting room, I now could either pay my tuition out of pocket, or not go, even though I had the $20 for the fee in my hand. Professors and Assistant professors always want you to succeed. The financial aid office will do whatever they can to help you when you ask. There is always something fun happening on campus. Think twice before attending this institution. I was enrolled to begin classes in the fall semester. One week before they began, DCTC contacted me saying they no longer offered the program that I signed up for. Again, ONE WEEK before classes began. This left me almost no time to scramble around looking for another school to attend for the fall semester. That kind of behavior is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. The whole process just felt off anyway. They were always slow to respond, they fought every step of the way when I presented transfer credits from another institution. I was somewhat relieved in a way knowing I wouldn't have to deal with them any further. What a waste of time.Adam

Didn’t have the best experience overall. The instructor for the automotive technology class was only genuine once while he was teaching me something. Every other time, there was sarcasm and rudeness when trying to ask him questions. Not to mention half of the kids (quote “kids”) in the class were constantly on their phones and messing around. I wouldn’t have minded, except that we were placed in groups, therefor graded as a group. Received my second degree here and they accepted a respectable number of credits from a previous college. Someone from admin called me a year or so after graduation and asked if I had gotten anywhere with my degree. When he found out what I was doing and where I had gotten in life he nearly dropped the phone. Thanks DCTC for sending me places in life I didn’t think were possible. Went to Trilogy beauty salon for a haircut and hair color appointment. Student did a really nice job on both. All the students were dressed professionally They were wearing nice looking smocks unlike some other beauty schools were they wore whatever they wished Trilogy salon uses very high quality products which is appreciated Students do take more time completing a hair cut or hair color Instructors are there if they have any questions and everything they do is looked at by the teacher Students gain valuable experience there Highly recommendedKathy Salm

Affordable for gen eds but for a technical college they have some of the worse tech issues I have every seen my I have seen middle schools with better technical support. Do not take there advice on what laptop to buy since I was told to buy a Microsoft brand laptop but I needed to add every chrome extension needed to even access half the course material. I had to ask my instructors to use my personal email only since I could send emails through my school one but could not read any of the instructors emails.Gunfire Productions

Let's just say I'm no spring chicken. I got my Industrial electrical apprenticeship at the age of 46 and at the age of 50 I graduated. It was not an easy thing for me. But the program was excellent and they gave me alot of skills I use everyday at my job. Some days I think I should have tried fitting the instrumentation specialist into my schedule some how but with work hours it wouldn't have work. Id say they have everything you need to succeed at FVTC, because if I can do it at my age anybody can there!Heath Mischke

This is my second year at Chattanooga State and I love it. The professors absolutely care about your success and offer plenty of office hours to come by. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to complicated topics like financial aid. Other students seem just as committed to the work as everyone else. The campus is clean and very pleasant to be in. The only downside is the parking. It is worth removing a star. It is a nightmare at the beginning of the semester. Unless you wake up early and arrive around eight or nine in the morning, you will struggle to find a parking spot, which is kind of awful when you don't have class for three more hours. Otherwise, I cannot imagine a better community college here. There are lots of events every month that students can participate in. The cafeteria food is pretty decent and offers a large selection. The library allows food and drink so that you can ear while you work or study. Little things like this make Chatt State super nice. Also, since someone mentioned the online classes, they will keep you very busy. The instructors expect more work than an actual lecture class, but it is manageable as long as you keep track of your time and when certain things are due.Onyx R

I was a student here and I recently transferred to a school closer to my home. My experience at this school horrible(thank to Ms. D. Jackson). I had a issue with another student and I brought it to her attention in hopes she would help solve the issue, but she did the complete opposite. Since she knew the girl's mom, Ms. Jackson decided to team up with her and "TRY" to get me kicked out of the school. I am just glad that the higher ups seen through it all and nothing came of their wrong doings. I had to hire a attorney, just in case things got worse since Ms. Jackson didn't wont to see the proof I had regarding the other girl.Kierra Mangham

Just spent a fun couple weeks jumping through admission hoops here. Beginning to end the process was a pain, with uninformed staff, unnecessary phone tag, and an online portal that couldn't be more labyrinthine if it were coded by Daedalus… The kicker? The class I jumped all those hoops for was not even on offer. Now, call me old fashioned, but when someone asks me for a thing I don't have, I tend to lead with the fact that I don't have it. Why the good folks of Chatt. State felt it necessary for me to complete admissions before telling me it's all for nothing is beyond me.M C

Would not recommend. I can't speak to the instructors since I never made it that far, but the staff needs a refresher course on office management. I work in an admin office and if I ignored customers as I was ignored by this college I would have been fired a long time ago. I had my former colleges send my official transcripts in April which both confirmed that they had. I asked in June and in July where we were in the processes. The only answer I received was that "we can't find them" and asked if they were submitted under another name. I had told them multiple times that they were submitted under my maiden name as I was not married when I received other degrees. No response. So I had them resent. There was no response. So after 24 hours I emailed both the registrar's office AND the email designed specifically for transcripts and did not hear back again. When I went up and emailed everyone in the admissions office suddenly they found my transcripts and my transcript hold disappeared like that. And then afterward, suddenly I received a response to one of my emails and the person I was speaking to was quite snippy with me saying that she "got to it when she could" although I had been inquiring for 2 MONTHS about the status of my transcripts. Fortunately this was going to be my first semester and I have enough time that I found another distance education vet tech degree from another college. I won't be registering for classes with Cedar Valley after this whole thing honestly its NOT worth it. Also, there is NO requirement to meet with an advisor and no one point of contact for Distance Education students. Their instructions for registering for classes are confusing and even inquiry emails were met with silence. Also it feels the admissions office was supplying contrary information on how to enroll in vet tech classes in the first place! If you're looking for a distance education vet tech program I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you going elsewhere. You'll just get frustrated here. I would give 0 stars if possibleAmy Shumway

I'm going to be fair and admit that the teachers I've had have been the most helpful, inspiring, and kind people I've ever met. Unfortunately I can't say the same for most of the staff up front. Most of the staff are rude and unhelpful, constantly running you in circles like they have no idea how anything works. The advising staff are very unhelpful as well. Patty Soper-Shaw placed me in two wrong classes my first semester, and admitted to me she had no idea about any of the technology courses I was trying to take. Because of that, I'm now left without the hardware course I needed to take before the software one which leads me to this biggest problem I have with this college. DO NOT TAKE TECHNOLOGY CLASSES HERE! It's a dead end. A majority of classes never have enough students to make the class work, so they're constantly being dropped. The dean of the technology department, Mr. Johnson, came to our class at the beginning of the Fall 2017 Semester to tell us our class is cancelled. He even admitted that the technology classes there are failing tor receive enough students for the classes, and apparently it's been that way for the past 10 years! It's to the point where my degree is absolutely useless, and because of the constant cancellations and mess ups between staff and advisers, my life is now behind because I can't even get a simple certification or degree. I've been at this school for three semesters, and after my class getting cancelled again, I've decided to finish up this last semester and move onto another college. This school is the most unorganized, uninformative, and misleading place I've ever been to. I'm not the only student this has happened to either. I've spoken with many at that school who have suffered from the same problems I spoke about. This school has been a nightmare to go to and get anything done at. Awful experience. The advising staff were rude and unhelpful. Registration staff were extremely unhelpful and contradictory. After being led in pointless circles and constantly receiving contradictory information about required forms and materials, I was finally able to meet someone who understood what was going on (after talking with at least 4 different registration staff members). By the time everything was sorted out, the classes were filled up. The advising staff members are not accommodating, interrupting, and very accusatory. It should not be on the customers shoulders to filter through constant contradictions just to apply to the school. I did follow and submit the required material stated online. Apparently, the material submitted was no acceptable and I had to jump through many hoops and complete many tedious tasks just to be told it was all pointless and I didn't even have to do any of the "required" forms or tasks. Honestly, I just felt like I was wasting my time doing pointless tasks when most, if not all, of it could have been avoided. By the time all my information was processed, I had finished applying/enrolling, getting advised, registering for classes, and paying for the classes at a different community college. This was the most unorganized, confusing, drawn-out process I've ever had to go through for any college admission. Wasted so much time throughout this process. Oh, did I mention that no one knows how to pick up the phone? Called at many different points in time throughout the day just to be sent to voicemail… This happened for an entire week. Leave a voicemail and hope they get back to you promptly.Water Fountain

Horrible school. I attended the school for about 2 years and have a better experience at the DMV. I was told in high school by a Cincinnati State that my credits would transfer from Cincinnati State to University of Cincinnati seamlessly – they did not. In fact when I went to UC, they stated they could accept me as a transfer student but none, zero, NADA – of my credits would transfer. I applied to Miami University (Ohio) and was able to have 3 classes transferred. Miami was also cheaper at the time than Cincinnati State. I had to start all over from scratch after 2 useless years at Cincinnati State. The staff at Cincinnati State, including the teachers, were low quality. Staff seemed to brush off any concerns you have. Asking for help? Only the minimum is provided to guide you in the direction you need. Teachers mostly seemed to be low quality and bottom of the barrel – I only had 2 teachers that were okay out of 2 years. A few teachers I was able to show issues with tests or exams – although they agreed that I was correct at the time, one refused to fix the exam grades for everyone because "That is what the test key answer is and she would have to go back and regrade all the tests"… Sorry? That is literately your job… The next teacher could not understand the wording of their own test question that they provided (online) and would not correct the answer for the students. I communicated this error via email and was pushed away. I pushed back stating the teacher was incorrect and provided the work as to why the answer was wrong, in a professional tone. The teacher responded unprofessionally by changing the color of the text in the email to red, downplaying my proof, not using punctuation, and using unprofessional language. I dropped the class as this is not a teacher in my eye; but someone who is there for a paycheck. Cincinnati State had a graduation rate of just over 12% when I attended. 12% of students graduate from this school…. For the 2019 year it is now 17.9%. The odds of you attending this school for 2-3 years and graduating are very low. You are better off attending a real college if you are serious about your future. The overall poor quality as well. I have never experienced so many arguments between teachers and students in a classroom before. After class is over, everyone leaves campus immediately unless they have another class within the next hour or so. The current ad campaign that is on TV does not portray the school correctly. The average age of students is middle age. There is very few labs due to limited budget. Little to no student engagement events. Printers were not free. Book store was a COMPLETE ripoff, some classes did not require the book due to costs. Teachers would not communicate to students about schedule changes in tests and exams effectively for online classes (I missed my final Physics exam due to this). Save 2 years of your life and go somewhere else. I am not the only one with a really bad experience. If you know someone that attended or attends Cincinnati State, talk to them. You will typically find they did not graduate or they think it is okay but plan to transfer to another school before they finish. My experience at Cincinnati State was something of a mixed bag. I had previously attended a 4-year university but was seeking a career change. Given the low cost of attendance that community colleges provide, I figured that Cincinnati State would be a great option. My first year of studies were great. I had some very kind professors who genuinely cared about the students and the material that they taught. Some faculty members could be a bit rude at times, but that is to be expected in higher education. After my first year, I truly felt like I was on the way to great success. My second year on the other hand turned out to be quite the opposite. During my first semester back from co-op, I received notification that I had been dropped from two classes without explanation. Upon reaching out to the registrar, I was told to contact my program chair/advisor. Upon reaching out to my advisor, I was not given any guidance. I felt like I was really left to my own devices to try to figure out how to schedule my classes. In addition, I found the teaching quality to be quite disappointing. In the one class that I was able to take that semester, my professor did not once hand out a syllabus or explain the grading rubric. I persistently asked him when grades would be given back, and he would give me a specific date. Only once did he ever give back grades on said date. The rest were given at the end of the semester, thus leaving all students in a state of anxiety over what our final grade would be. He stressed the importance of attendance and punctuality but was hardly ever on time for class. On some occasions, he even made me late to work because class would run over. For these reasons as well as the problems mentioned earlier about the administration, I decided not to return to Cincinnati State. In short, Cincinnati State is a good option for those seeking a low-cost education, and there are some great programs and professors here. However, the unorganized and highly bureaucratic administration combined with some exceptionally unprofessional professors keep the school from being as great as it could be. Please tread lightly if considering Cincinnati State now or in the future.Nick Workman

My review was removed probably by google because I mentioned that I don’t appreciate how their curriculum is trying to indoctrinate you. It’s other wise a good school. I got my degree in two years and had no problems. The instructors for my program were great. But it’s absurd in my opinion that a college feels the need to assert their opinions in to every core class. My English class was consistently wanting us to watch TED talks that talked about political standpoints. My sociology professor was the absolute worst. Even if you did an assignment and followed the rubric, but disagreed with her opinion, she would give you a lower score. Then try to justify it by using her own opinion as sources. She also said that anyone who believes in God is likely uneducated. Overall, my experience was good and I’m glad I got my degree here. But it’s just too liberal for my taste.Britt Jones

My son attended school here and it was a waste of time, experience and money. His teachers and principal does not communicate with the parents. They never gave us access to portal so we could know how he was doing. They claimed there was a incident but could not tell us what it was and suspended my spn for a week. Then told us they will not give him his credits earned and we neede to sign him back into his home school because they no longer wanted him at their shool. Now trying to charge me for tools he was not allowed to bring home because they cant find them. Dont send your child here.Denise Amick

Most of the teachers are rude and dont care about the attending student. All the staff thinks it's always the kids fault. I had an iep and was treated as if it was my fault for it. I would not reccomend this place unless if you're doing a creative program like photography or graphic design. If you're interested in Natural Resource Management especially with Mr Berringer, do NOT attend. He is extremely rude and doesnt help you to learn. I hate this school. And my lab teacher. We receive too much homework and not enough time to do it. They don't respect us or our complaints. When I first came in October I was bullied and no one took care of it. They watched but never did anything. Mr. Sink is so rude too! He said talking to us is like talking to a wall. I love Columbus State and this is why: Before Columbus State: Growing up, I was never interested in the information taught in school, because I did not feel like it was applicable to the real world. After a year at a private college, I was originally apprehensive to restart college at any college. I was also scared of a community college. I grew up in Michigan, and I felt like our local community colleges had negative stigmas attached to them. Luckily, my older brother took me into the application office in Delaware, OH to take the entrance exam. I believe I tested out of an english and/or a math class. While at Columbus State: I would like to note that I always attended C-State as I held a part time job (10-20 hours a week). I originally attended an EMT-B class at Columbus State. The class was more challenging than I had anticipated and was pretty time consuming. I received a B in this course, but found employment immediately in the field and felt confident in my skills. A year later, I returned to C-State with the desires to go to nursing school. Thanks to ample meetings with advisors in Health and Human Services, I decided to take some prerequisite nursing classes as there was a waiting list to apply for their nursing program (while I worked part time as an EMT-B). During this year, I found more confidence in my work and studies, feelings of support and encouragement from staff, and rewards from hard work. I was also able to sign up easily for academic accommodations for the first time in my life! I loved my time at Columbus State within this year! I never thought I would love school or receive my first 4.0 GPA in the spring and summer semesters. For the first time, school finally felt fulfilling for me. After Attending Columbus State: I decided to leave C-State after a full academic year, and I pursued a BSN degree through another local school. I often look back at my time at C-State and regret that I did not take more classes here while saving a decent amount of money! I would suggest night classes if you are willing and able. I found that students were more likely to be hard working, more mature, disciplined, and also employed. I also found professors who taught night classes were often from OSU and more understanding. Generally my teachers were all very competent, funny, and held experience in the world. The only negative experience that I found was dealing with C-Stat's Police department staff and accessing their gym/locker room. Students must sign up manually for the gym locker rooms every semester at C-State's Police department and then wait for several days for your card to be accepted from security/police. This system seems dated and non-productive. I feel like this process should be easily automated. This issue led to a negative experience I had with a police officer that identified as Sergeant Diamond. I felt like this officer escalated my personal situation while being disrespectful and patronizing. Another time I was eating a meal in my car between classes when a police car pulled up to me and asked why I was parked between two spots in an empty parking lot and then asked me to pick a spot. I'm sure the police department deals with things they don't want to. I could have been lucky and experienced two poor attitudes on hard days, but I do not feel like the police department is fulfilling their mission that states they want to provide "exceptional customer service" for their students based on my only two experiences with them. I have enjoyed Columbus State and majority of the people I’ve met here while on track to my BA but this college needs some serious restructuring. The biggest thing I wish Cstate would look into is their faculty. When I go to ratemyprofessor.com and see many of them at a 1 to 2 star rating, that concerns me. I have personally had good and bad professors here and majority of the good ones were adjunct professors, the bad ended up being tenured faculty. I wish the college would look into the gripes students have and start to question whether or not they should be hiring adjunct professors to replace them. The only other major issue I’ve had is from advisors. The point of the advisor is to advise the student on their education path, but when I have a genuine question or concern, interrupting/having a snarky attitude doesn’t come off as professional to me. One last thing, please talk with the finance department about putting a budget together for another parking garage. I don’t go during peak hours anymore but when I did parking was atrocious. It will be 6 weeks this semester (Spring 2019) before CSCC releases financial aid refunds. I cannot believe they get away with this! OSU is 9 days after the start of the semester! Some people rely on these excess funds to survive another semester of school! This should be illegal and I’m pretty sure it is because according to federal financial aid funds are to be released up to a max of 14 days after the start of a semester! Insane to make people wait 6 weeks+ to receive their refund. Also, parking is obnoxious here any time of day. It also seems to me that each department does not have a good linear structure of teaching so each professor is just kind of doing their own thing whichever way they feel like doing it. Some classes are too long some are too short. It really feels like no one is in control here it’s just a free for all I guess. Employees are not friendly in any way shape or form. Honestly the only good thing about this school is how cheap it is. “You get what you pay for.” 🤷‍♂️614 Realness

Honestly, should have listened to everyone discrediting this school. Cheaper ain't better. This school has stressed me out and I've only been attending for one semester. They keep changing my aid amount, will not reimburse my refund and all together have made my college experience a nightmare in hell especially with me working full-time. It always something new going on with my financial information for the following semester and new requirements that were completed prior to me attending resurfacing. Who has the time to keep re-ensuring that they're getting the money they already previously accepted? It doesn't matter how early you send your FAFSA in, they will find a way to have it reprocessed so late that you won't recieve the amount you already accepted. Honestly, I want to withdraw this semester but my grades are so high it would be no point.Jazmyliena Martin

Very poor experience, people don't care about the disabled students, they had charged me over $1k for not helping me get into my classes and they've abandoned me in 2010. One star for absolute failure. Edit: 9/14/2022 this so-called trio program from Owens community college isn't helpful not resourceful of how am I supposed to go to college, they sign me up late not knowing I'm missing out on my assignments and these advisors in the school are lazy and rude like they don't care for the disabled students such as myself. Attended Owens and completed an Associates degree in 2001. Returned to a local area 4 year college to complete a Bachelor of Science. Due to the high cost and mediocre experience. I chose to take as many transfer classes as possible at Owens. A full time semester was a fraction of a 4 year college semester. Pretty rigorous course material and most importantly, courses are well structured, you could actually work ahead following the syllabus. Students and staff are pleasant. Have my 4 year degree, and returning to Owens for certificate programs to fill in the gaps from said 4 year college curriculum.Brent A.

Manor College is a really great place to get started with many, many different programs to get your foot in to the door and get wonderful experiences in any field you are thinking about going into. Its a smaller campus, so you get to know people a lot faster. Classes are a wonderful size so you don't feel crowded, and it makes getting to know your teacher on a more professional and personal scale. The staff at Manor are the most wonderful and helpful people you will ever meet, they actually get to know you and make sure you are staying on track of all of your assignments, and staying on track with courses so that you graduate on time. Manor has a wonderful basketball and track team, along with many other programs such as Student Senate and CAB (campus activity board), which I joined my first semester and plan on joining again. They have many, many different activities that they plan throughout the school year to make sure everyone is staying involved and getting to know other students and make new friends. They are very inclusive with many different types of people and talk about many different types of religion and ethics so that everyone gets a chance to feel special and then the other students stay more informed about other people lifestyles. Our president, President Peri is the most wonderful man you will ever meet and always make sure you are doing well, and getting to stressed and when ever you see him he makes time to just catch up with everyone and get feedback about everyones lives and classes. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at Manor College. The beautiful campus hosts the bright eyed individuals seeking to further their education and the dedicated faculty and staff do their best to provide an excellent experience for all students. The small class sizes foster strong connections in and out of the classroom, and almost everyone gets to know you by name. One would think that a relatively small school wouldn't be able to pull in talented professors and bright students, but all of my professors during my time here have many experiences and are amazing at what they do. The campus life office is dedicated to everything that happens outside of the classroom, and they have so many events for students, some of which I have been directly involved with, and you can tell that everyone deeply cares about what they do here. Manor is going to grow exponentially in the future, with a fantastic new President in Jonathan Peri, a man with a vision so great and connections so deep that Manor will most likely become not just the premier two year catholic college, but one of the premier four year catholic colleges. If you want a quality education delivered by some of the best professors I've ever met on a beautiful campus in a suburban area, look no further than Manor College.Kyle McIntosh

My son graduated from Manor College a couple of years ago. It was a very positive experience for him. He has ADD & Aspergers Autism; he didn’t want to tell the faculty so that he was treated the same as any other college student. The staff here is very easy for a student to talk to & gave my son any help he asked for. My son graduated with honors with his associate degree in accounting. For a small community college it is wonderful. Beautiful campus with a creek running behind the dorms & has resident Canadian geese which wander freely on the campus. It is located in the suburbs outside of the Philadelphia area. The college is affiliated with many other colleges & recently has started to offer bachelors degree programs besides their associate degree programs. They are known best for their Vet Tech program & their dental programs. They have their own farm & community dental center which are great for the students practical experiences.Evelyn

I’ve only had on great instructor, Stephen Marlowe, but the worst instructor there is Amanda Bylczynski by far! She is extremely rude and is unwilling to help. She refuses to admit when she is wrong and tends to give multiple directions to assignments that contradict each other and gives you a poor grade when you don’t follow the “correct” set of directions. It’s hard to stay away from her though since she teaches history, geography, sociology, and is an advisor. Since she is an advisor she tries to push you to take her favorite classes that she teaches rather than put you in classes that will benefit your degree! I am majoring in education and she put me in her history class (her favorite) instead of letting me take sociology which would have clearly fit my path much better! Don’t waste your time at this school. They treat everyone like a high school student whether you are or not. If you are looking for a community college to start your college career go to Sinclair! It has much more of a college feel to it.Seth Helton

This is the worst school in the country, the staff is over paid the classes are the equivalent to a junior high school. I had applied there for art classes and did online classes and I had completed all my work correctly and did the assignments on time and with the correct format. Stayed up for hours on end completing assignments putting a lot of hard work into them and still got bad grades for some odd reason? So I email my teachers and call the school asking what I can do to improve them the phone tree did not work properly and my teachers never emailed me back. I honestly think this school should get some lessons on how to run, worst school ever…DJ Crow

First off the professors are great, they help you and answer all questions. In the 5 years I have attended, there are only a few that were mediocre, but they are gone now. Advisors are helpful, but you will need to make sure they know what you want. As an older student the school is affordable and most classes are available in the evening. Down fall is several classes like Calculus, pre calculus, music, and other lab classes have limited availability in the evenings and in some cases not at all. They now offer scholarships for older students who do not qualify for other financial aid. No out of county fees unlike some schools.Jen ny

I will be completely honest. I did some PSEO courses here and thought it was a nice campus. There is some struggles and problems with the school, but nothing to make this not a choice for a college. Teachers are nice, most of the students are fine and just do there own thing, there is a couple of clubs and activities, and the class sizes see to be reasonable (smaller than JMHS). I think it is a good campus and should be considered an opinion and not thrown to the curb when looking for local colleges.Burner Account

What a joke… My wages are currently being levied for a semester I did not even get to attend! The Financial Aid/Counselor I worked with helped me sign up for all the classes needed for that semester but did not inform me that I had no available financial aid. By the time, I discovered this (3 weeks into class) it was too late to withdraw without paying full price. I called multiple people at the school but all refused to help or did not know how to help. Though some teachers care quite a bit the majority could care less about you and more about there personal life. Scared to walk around without being robbed. Worst school I have ever been too. Curriculum is nothing short of a disappointment. And to request help from anyone you might as well be strung up and laughed at in the main entry.Samantha Erickson

This college has frequent issues with their website when turning in or doing assignments. Return books to bookstore that you rent, and they "misplace" some, and charge YOU for it. No one fixes it…. Hard to get in touch with everyone. No way to work on a time frame with this college with issues with websites, and no way to get in contact with ANYONE you need to regarding logging in, assignments, registering, financial aid etc. etc. Last time i signed up everything took so long classes had already started for a whole week while i was still trying to get set up for each class. The FIRST day i was on the class page to try to catch up the teacher gave me a 0 on my first several assignments… EVEN THOUGH… I stayed up late the day I registered and got my books and tried to work toward catching up… I want to go back to college, but I don't think this is the one to be in…Amanda Arnett

The bookstore is horrible. The employees, not the student employees, were terribly rude. They did not give me all the textbooks I ordered online and it took 3 people and yelling for them to finally understand that they did not give me the access code. I even brought back the receipt and my actual order confirmation. They lied and argued with me about my order being fulfilled and held for me. I do not recommend getting textbooks from their bookstore.Allie Rosell

When I was looking into going to Ross I was a little apprehensive because I wasn't sure if this program was really any good. From the minute I walked in the door all my apprehension was gone!! The admissions staff made me feel right at home and walked me through the process step by step and answered all my questions. The financial aid staff was wonderful and answered all my questions about my financial aid and got it processed quickly. The school director was absolutely the best!! She takes time to actually sit you down and find out how you are doing in your courses and she is available to fix any problems you may have. The instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable about the subjects they are teaching you and are also available to answer any questions and offer whatever help you may need. Career services literally will not stop looking for employment for you until you have a job in your field. The best decision I ever made was going to Ross and it has literally changed my life forever!!Carol Riddle

Honestly so disappointed. A complete lack of communication from day one. Today should be my graduation date, and I can't even get an email response about anything. The education I received was so far off track from what I was told I would receive (Billing and Coding) and I think I might be qualified to answer phones and make minimum wage now that I am done. I get plenty of communication about sharing on social media but cannot even get a response about what I am to do next now that my qualifications for completion are met. Not even something stating I am done. I completed my externship then nothing. Like I dropped off their map.Betsie Reed

Updates needed for the sake of the teachers and students as far as efficacy goes. Machinery such as autoclaves and centrifuge could stand to be updated as well. All staff and personnel at Ross is absolutely wonderful and I have and will continue to sing this school's praises. I can't believe how quickly time flies when you're having fun learning and meeting others with the same goals. All teachers were extremely personable and helpful. I will miss my Ross family when I go, but I am so proud of myself and feel so accomplished for exceeding my own expectations here.Renae Cunningham
