i came in for one reason to get job after graduation been going on two yrs feels like high school classes. Im a criminal Justice major and i like program except one huge thing it needs more hands traning so you prepared for the job once you graduate and not have move on for four degree and they need to have dorminties to live on i hardly see people on campus it almost empety they have two many campuses they need to have one and the paint falling off the school. I hoping i graduate and get job in but i feel unprepared to due the classes they made to if i knew this i would have gone out of state because these tech schools are scam been at midlands tech for my associates in arts degree if i was going for a different major i would be more thrild they have good health science program that gets job as soon as graduate due to the clinicals and broad certification test. some classes have been cancled to there harldy many students in eithermichael mcdaniel

The advisors are literally the worst I have seen. They are basically unaware of how to advise, impossible to reach, don't follow through, and give no recommendations on pre requisite classes. Now the health science department is even worse. The instructors pride themselves on a high failure percentage. They deviate from school policy and ALL Bio 210 and 211 professors are arrogant and unwilling to support your child. Stay away from the arrogant professors, AND they don't care about your future.AB Gentry

this technical college is the best technical college in south carolina, there was a problem with the workers at the edgefield campus, they lost my transcripts, and they tried to cancel my advisement appointment so they could meet their boyfriend in the parking lot, the students at the edgefield campus were rude, and trashy, they are not going to stop me from going there, the classes that you have to take are wonderful, the instructional methods are excellentJessica Taylor

This is my second year at Chattanooga State and I love it. The professors absolutely care about your success and offer plenty of office hours to come by. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to complicated topics like financial aid. Other students seem just as committed to the work as everyone else. The campus is clean and very pleasant to be in. The only downside is the parking. It is worth removing a star. It is a nightmare at the beginning of the semester. Unless you wake up early and arrive around eight or nine in the morning, you will struggle to find a parking spot, which is kind of awful when you don't have class for three more hours. Otherwise, I cannot imagine a better community college here. There are lots of events every month that students can participate in. The cafeteria food is pretty decent and offers a large selection. The library allows food and drink so that you can ear while you work or study. Little things like this make Chatt State super nice. Also, since someone mentioned the online classes, they will keep you very busy. The instructors expect more work than an actual lecture class, but it is manageable as long as you keep track of your time and when certain things are due.Onyx R

I was a student here and I recently transferred to a school closer to my home. My experience at this school horrible(thank to Ms. D. Jackson). I had a issue with another student and I brought it to her attention in hopes she would help solve the issue, but she did the complete opposite. Since she knew the girl's mom, Ms. Jackson decided to team up with her and "TRY" to get me kicked out of the school. I am just glad that the higher ups seen through it all and nothing came of their wrong doings. I had to hire a attorney, just in case things got worse since Ms. Jackson didn't wont to see the proof I had regarding the other girl.Kierra Mangham

Just spent a fun couple weeks jumping through admission hoops here. Beginning to end the process was a pain, with uninformed staff, unnecessary phone tag, and an online portal that couldn't be more labyrinthine if it were coded by Daedalus… The kicker? The class I jumped all those hoops for was not even on offer. Now, call me old fashioned, but when someone asks me for a thing I don't have, I tend to lead with the fact that I don't have it. Why the good folks of Chatt. State felt it necessary for me to complete admissions before telling me it's all for nothing is beyond me.M C

Would not recommend. I can't speak to the instructors since I never made it that far, but the staff needs a refresher course on office management. I work in an admin office and if I ignored customers as I was ignored by this college I would have been fired a long time ago. I had my former colleges send my official transcripts in April which both confirmed that they had. I asked in June and in July where we were in the processes. The only answer I received was that "we can't find them" and asked if they were submitted under another name. I had told them multiple times that they were submitted under my maiden name as I was not married when I received other degrees. No response. So I had them resent. There was no response. So after 24 hours I emailed both the registrar's office AND the email designed specifically for transcripts and did not hear back again. When I went up and emailed everyone in the admissions office suddenly they found my transcripts and my transcript hold disappeared like that. And then afterward, suddenly I received a response to one of my emails and the person I was speaking to was quite snippy with me saying that she "got to it when she could" although I had been inquiring for 2 MONTHS about the status of my transcripts. Fortunately this was going to be my first semester and I have enough time that I found another distance education vet tech degree from another college. I won't be registering for classes with Cedar Valley after this whole thing honestly its NOT worth it. Also, there is NO requirement to meet with an advisor and no one point of contact for Distance Education students. Their instructions for registering for classes are confusing and even inquiry emails were met with silence. Also it feels the admissions office was supplying contrary information on how to enroll in vet tech classes in the first place! If you're looking for a distance education vet tech program I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you going elsewhere. You'll just get frustrated here. I would give 0 stars if possibleAmy Shumway

I'm going to be fair and admit that the teachers I've had have been the most helpful, inspiring, and kind people I've ever met. Unfortunately I can't say the same for most of the staff up front. Most of the staff are rude and unhelpful, constantly running you in circles like they have no idea how anything works. The advising staff are very unhelpful as well. Patty Soper-Shaw placed me in two wrong classes my first semester, and admitted to me she had no idea about any of the technology courses I was trying to take. Because of that, I'm now left without the hardware course I needed to take before the software one which leads me to this biggest problem I have with this college. DO NOT TAKE TECHNOLOGY CLASSES HERE! It's a dead end. A majority of classes never have enough students to make the class work, so they're constantly being dropped. The dean of the technology department, Mr. Johnson, came to our class at the beginning of the Fall 2017 Semester to tell us our class is cancelled. He even admitted that the technology classes there are failing tor receive enough students for the classes, and apparently it's been that way for the past 10 years! It's to the point where my degree is absolutely useless, and because of the constant cancellations and mess ups between staff and advisers, my life is now behind because I can't even get a simple certification or degree. I've been at this school for three semesters, and after my class getting cancelled again, I've decided to finish up this last semester and move onto another college. This school is the most unorganized, uninformative, and misleading place I've ever been to. I'm not the only student this has happened to either. I've spoken with many at that school who have suffered from the same problems I spoke about. This school has been a nightmare to go to and get anything done at. Awful experience. The advising staff were rude and unhelpful. Registration staff were extremely unhelpful and contradictory. After being led in pointless circles and constantly receiving contradictory information about required forms and materials, I was finally able to meet someone who understood what was going on (after talking with at least 4 different registration staff members). By the time everything was sorted out, the classes were filled up. The advising staff members are not accommodating, interrupting, and very accusatory. It should not be on the customers shoulders to filter through constant contradictions just to apply to the school. I did follow and submit the required material stated online. Apparently, the material submitted was no acceptable and I had to jump through many hoops and complete many tedious tasks just to be told it was all pointless and I didn't even have to do any of the "required" forms or tasks. Honestly, I just felt like I was wasting my time doing pointless tasks when most, if not all, of it could have been avoided. By the time all my information was processed, I had finished applying/enrolling, getting advised, registering for classes, and paying for the classes at a different community college. This was the most unorganized, confusing, drawn-out process I've ever had to go through for any college admission. Wasted so much time throughout this process. Oh, did I mention that no one knows how to pick up the phone? Called at many different points in time throughout the day just to be sent to voicemail… This happened for an entire week. Leave a voicemail and hope they get back to you promptly.Water Fountain

This is an outstanding hometown, family-styled University. The programs at Grambling State University are an excellent part of the Louisiana University System. Although I am an esteemed alumnus of the rival Southern University and A & M College, it still takes nothing away from Gambling. Boys will become MEN, ladies will become WOMEN with guidance and the caring staff and administration at this institution. I’m excited for her but I wasnt impressed with the dorm furniture. My daughter didn’t have a mattress, broken drawer in dresser, had a half broken outlet cover (very dangerous) and a ripped up dorm chair. I know they can hire folks to help fix some things, but overall I enjoyed the campus. There are a lot of buildings in process of being replaced and they have some nice buildings and a lot of dorms. I really like the flexibility of the online courses, the affordability and the variety of degree options they have. My advisors and teachers have been very great but communicating with the other staff at this school is very frustrating. The employees in the financial aid department are very rude and condescending and they hang up on you abruptly whenever they get frustrated with you. The registar’s office is by far the WORST. Very nasty employees in that department who talk down to you and treat you like a child. They seem to forget they work for a college, not an elementary school. One spent 10 minutes arguing on the phone with me just because I wanted my new advisor’s phone number and email. The “career counselors” offer no type of help or advice and they just tell you to “google it” whenever you have a basic question about a certain major. They are also very judgmental if you express a desire to finish with only an associates degree and not transfer to a 4 year, not considering not everyone has the financial means to do so. The call center employees are very disrespectful and seem like they want to find reasons to argue with callers. There are also huge issues with miscommunication at this school and everyone seems to have different answers about certain topics which causes a lot of errors. Certain departments are also not great about contacting back even after leaving numerous voicemails/emails. Overall I like the school itself but they need to either retrain the employees on basic respect and customer service or they need to hire new ones.Resident Anon

The teachers here are all outstanding and they make you feel like they want you to succeed. I have taken College Algebra, Biology and Spanish in the classroom and the instructors were all topnotch. There is also additional help available to students in the free math lab and writing centers as well as Spanish tutoring. The online classes are not that confusing but you do need to pay attention because sometimes you are required to take classes through third-party online textbooks via the access codes. The only problems I had were with transferring credits to the school and getting contradictory information from the financial aid office on one occasion. I do wish the school did a better job with advising students but I understand the logistics issues. Everyone at the hub is friendly and helpful! Use them they are a great resource. To all the people that left negative reviews, I would say "you get out what you put in". This is college and you get treated like an adult.Linda Brady

I was very happy with Kris Jackson she did my tour and always answered me when I had any questions. I started in January of 2021 still in the mist of COVID. I had a good experience, be prepared NOTHING IS EASY you have to study study study. I feel like most of the teachers there really do want to see you do good and will genuinely try to do a lot to help. I struggled a lot but there is always tutoring and someone willing to help. With every school comes drama that has nothing to do with school but just to know. There’s a lot of commitment when signing up so just know what your getting yourself into. The school teaches you a lot you need to know and has plenty of resources if you need more help. Only thing I wish I knew was more things that we could’ve been taught for the “real world” like a lot we get taught we need to know but there is some small things we have to know like trying to find veins by ourself or little tricks other than that I had a good experience. I would recommend if you are able to commit to a long hard program it is very rewarding in the long end.Emily Pham

As a former graduate of VTI and soon to be practicing veterinarian medicine for about a year I cannot thank the staff and mentors enough for caring and teaching me the skills that I use in everyday practice. They were always so thoughtful and there when you needed a helping hand wether it was something as big as tutoring before all classes started or as small as just small words of advice to keep students going through the program. The classes are geared towards exactly what you need to know and all the teachers seem to be very knowledgeable in which subjects they teach. If you are as lucky as me throughout the program you may even adopt your own 4 legged bestfriend you met during kennel duty!! 🙂Haidyn Craig

The Vet Tech Institute is an incredible school that teaches the reality of the animal career field. It teaches self discipline, personal instinct to trust, and an incredible amount of respect for the workers in any animal field. The staff are so incredibly patient and truly show their passion to teach and to love the animals we work with on an everyday basis. Being able to work with animals everyday in class only better creates a self confidence that has to be grown. Just got established here after moving to town with our 3 year old cat and adopting a kitten. They were able to get us scheduled promptly. The staff are very friendly and helpful; for example, they took the time to pre measure a medication one of the cats needed into individual daily syringes so I didn’t have to draw up the med myself. Also, they provided a helpful kit of supplies for the new baby, which I appreciated despite having my bases covered already. This just covers my experience as it pertains to preventative care, but I anticipate if heaven forbid an acute issue came up, they would handle it with care and professionalism. I have a very rude and high maintenance cat. When he started developing behavioral problems during the pandemic (very relatable) Dr. Guichard was very patient and thoughtful in coaching us through our options and treatments. She even talked me down off a cliff when he started foaming at the mouth after an oral injection (what a little drama queen!). She has also been incredibly thoughtful about helping us find solutions to his health problems that don't involve bringing him into their office for an expensive visit. This may also be because my sweet little lap cat turns into an absolute demon every time he is at her office, but she is also very kind about that and doesn't seem to hold it against him.Stephanie Cox

My cat had a urinary blockage and Lakeview was able to see him on short notice. It ended up being around a two week ordeal and I was incredible worried and scared for my poor kitty. Dr. Beck was extraordinarily kind, knowledgeable and patient. She called me each morning while he was hospitalized and even after I had taken him home to check up on him and see how he was doing. She acknowledged my concerns about money and informed me about all the options I had for how to handle each situation. He’s now home and happy and healthy. Dr. Moores and Dr. Ferrara care for our four Australian Shepherds and two cats . Our 8 year old Australian Shepherd needed knee surgery in December and they provided him with excellent care. This week, when it became clear that our 15 year old Aussie, Baloo, could no longer stand and needed the stairway to heaven, we hoped that we could arrange for the vet to come to our house. Instead, my husband, son and I went to the clinic. Dr. Ferrara was incredibly sensitive to our needs. I was expecting a rushed clinical setting. Instead, they transformed a treatment room into a place where we felt comfortable and there was no pressure to rush us through the emotional process of saying goodbye to our beloved Baloo. Normally I love them. They are usually very kind, helpful, and loving towards my bunny. I did have a not so great interaction with the receptionist there. She treated me like I was stupid when I asked for a wellness check for my bunny because I recently adopted him. When I called to cancel because I was unhappy with the interaction, she acted like it was no big deal to lose my business. I love everyone else in that place. I just wish there was a manager I could talk to to discuss it with. Update: I was contacted about the interaction. They took care of me, and treated me with respect. I have actually never been to Crossroads, but Chief, a rescue dog from Dante's Hope, was being boarded there till I could get transport to adopt Chief here in Oregon. I can tell that Chief was well tended to and loved during his time at Crossroads, and he's enjoying his new life here in Oregon with his "sister" Pepper (whom looks just like him!). One of the best places I’ve EVER went for my pets’ exams. I came in today last minute, but with the help of Becka & the rest of the staff, they were able to fit me into the schedule today. The whole staff went absolutely above and beyond. They answered all of my questions, and they took care of all of my concerns. They were able to give my fur babies the best care out there. When I first came in, I had every intention on paying every bit of an arm & leg. To my surprise, I left out with all of my limbs & I didn’t even make a burn in my pocket book. I had an interesting journey as a new puppy owner trying to find a vet in the not quite post pandemic world. I had a hard time finding anyone who had openings in our small town. Dishonest and manipulative. Lied about the circumstances of the boarding and split up a bonded pair of cats despite repeated promises that they would be together. Surprise surprise, the bonded cats were miserable. I would have found another option if they were honest about their limitations. Their vet services will prey upon your concern for your animal to drive care costs as high as possible. After determining (but before telling ME) that my cat was slightly overweight, their vet recommended multiple thousands of dollars in imaging tests to be run in the absence of any symptoms at all, telling me that my cat could possibly have a myriad of deadly conditions and that the only way to rule them out was to use their imaging machines. I was panicking that my cat might be seriously ill. When I pressed her with what she honestly thought, she revealed that my cat was probably just slightly overweight and that none of the tests were necessary without specific symptoms that weren't presenting at all. I understand needing to drive business to pay for your expensive equipment but I've literally already spent thousands here on actually sick cats. We will not be returning.Zachary Miller

I cannot recommend Dr. Lacie and her staff enough. I brought my childhood cat of 16 years to Dr. Lacie and she already knew what was wrong with him before any of the diagnostics were performed. Unfortunately, he was diagnosed with intestinal lymphoma and his prognosis was poor. Dr. Lacie and the staff did everything to help me prepare for end-of-life care for him. During his final moments, they were able to comfort me and reinforce the idea that I was making the right decision for him. I opted for cremation, and Cat Care Center set up the entire process so I could focus on the grieving process. What really made me take the time to write this review is the fact that Dr. Lacie and the team took the time to write me a condolence letter and have all the staff sign it. This demonstrates how committed the staff at Cat Care Center are to their patients. I will never bring my cats to any other vet again. Thank you for everything you do.Heart Faust

Dr. Lacie Lee has put so much time, effort and love into creating this clinic. She took such good care of my cat as if it were her own. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, experienced and loving veterinarian, look no further. One thing I love about this clinic is that there are no dogs. (Not that I dislike dogs!) but dogs are noisy and it can spook cats when they’re in an unfamiliar environment. This clinic is quiet and peaceful. She put a lot of thought into planning the boarding spaces so that it maximizes the personal space for each kitty. Stop by and take a tour if you’re interested!Erin Michelli

After I adopted my dog I was looking for a vet. I ended up coming to Bocage and wouldn't change a thing! The staff recognizes and greet Lana by name when she comes in and goes above and beyond. Dr. Loftin and Dr. Bud are extremely helpful and go out of their way to make it the best experience and best care possible and are willing to answer any questions you might have. Management is very professional and has the best interest of the animal in mind. They are willing to answer any questions/concerns and do so in a prompt manner. Animal Health Clinic is super helpful – I think any vet in Baton Rouge is super expensive, but they really are as reasonable as you can find for superior care for your fur babies! Dr. Lisa Ciolino was one of the best vets we have ever had and I highly recommend requesting her for your visit! I felt as though she never judged anything (my pup always has the worst ear infections), and she was able to come up with a plan to help our pets feel the best. She offered recommendations, but never pressured us to do anything we didn't think necessary or we didn't feel comfortable with. I have taken my dog (and cats but my dog is kind of a problem child) here since she was a puppy and each and every time I’ve been here I have received the best customer service, and they take excellent care of my pets. Yesterday my dog was scheduled to have her teeth cleaned and I got a call that they found a couple of concerning things going on with her in the middle of her procedure. My husband and I had to take our sweet girl in to see Dr. (Allison) Koonce on 7/8/22 as a fit in. Sadie's snout, on the right side, was swollen significantly and was bleeding behind her right canine tooth. She definitely was not feeling well! Not a snake bite. Dr. Koonce took great care with Sadie and we came home with some antibiotics and mild pain reliever for her to take twice a day. Makes sense since she was running a low grade fever and until we can get the infection of whatever is going on and the pain under control there's not much we can do since it's non-emergent. Dr. Koonce has suggested that we bring her back in to figure out what's going on once she's done with her meds, which we'll be scheduling after next week. Might possibly be an abscessed tooth. Dr. Koonce provided us with a printed estimate on the cost, which is very reasonable (even on the high end). The love of the pets AND their families are first and foremost and we have been completely satisfied changing vets. We bring all 3 of our dogs here and have never felt like we shouldn't be there or that we were just another pet owner. We have always been treated with kindness and great respect but most importantly our fur babies are comfortable with each of the vets we've seen this far as well as each member of the staff. This clinic is the best vet I have ever taken my babies to!! Everything from a kind welcome, to prompt check-in, wait time, to the excellent vet techs, and the doctors answering our questions. They do not simply do their jobs. Because anyone can do that. They ALWAYS GO ABOVE AND BEYOND with everything they do. Our previous vet was SUUUUPER expensive in comparison, did not catch a heart-worm (after we adopted a puppy) and mishandled the start of heart-worm treatment. We genuinely thought that’s how vets operate. So imagine our surprise after first visit at PVVC where they answered all of our questions, offered informational pamphlets, where more than half the price cheaper, and genuinely cared and offered us a reassurance. I would recommend this clinic to everyone I know. And I for sure will!!! You guys have my heart (and money lol, because the Lord knows I would pay with my Kidneys for my dogs if I had to… but thanks to y’all I don’t!!!!)❤Natalia Sledge

The first experience I had with pleasant Valley was on a very sad day. My 19 year old cat who I have had since I was 7 was dying and I called multiple vets to find someone to see her. Pleasant valley gave me an appointment that day. Dr. Brent Koonce was so helpful. The empathy and kindness shown while we put our beloved cat to sleep was so comforting. We loved our cat so much and honestly it was one of the hardest things I have ever been through. About a week later my family and I received a lovely hand written card from the office offering us their condolences. After that day, we decided to transfer all of our pets to pleasant valley. We have 3 cats and a dog who will hopefully be seen at this clinic for the rest of their lives.Savannah Beall

i’ve had multiple animals (all different kinds) for as long as i can remember. i love & cherish my pets & i just moved so i was looking for a new vet. the customer service was nice & they were all sweet & i trust they’ve done a good job with my dog. that’s why i’ve given the 2 stars. however, i saw some reviews on yelp & a few on here saying how expensive this place is & how they overcharge. i should have listened. i understand veterinarian appointments are not cheap, but this was ridiculous. i called ahead of time & i asked the value of everything i was going in for & i was told it would be about 60 US$ (which i did find to be a little cheap considering we discussed a rabies vaccination & an overall exam) after i got there & got my service, they told me the price was 138 US$. there must have been a communication error or something. they could tell i was surprised & when i asked for a receipt they had multiple fees i’ve never heard of & they added unrequested services to the fee as well. we brought in a record for all my dog’s vaccinations, shots, etc. so i knew what he needed going in. i just know i’ve been to other great vets with less outrageous prices. so i’ve had a pretty good understanding of the prices for most of these things. the people were kind though, wish it would’ve worked out. but i won’t be going back.josh

Last year I adopted met my baby girl Cici in one of the kennels here at SPVC– one of the vet techs was fostering her and they let me go back to the cats only room and have some one on one time with her. From that day I have brought Cici back here for all of her medical needs and she loves the staff. They give her lots of attention and make it so stress-free. Unfortunately i had to bring her in yesterday for major surgery after eating a rubber stopper. Dr. Brett took the time to call me immediately after surgery and let me know how she was, and give me a run-down of how to prevent it from happening again. I will always be grateful to Dr. Brett and his staff for introducing me to my sweet baby girl and taking such good care of her.LRB

I recently needed a place to board my cat for a prolonged period of time and Staring Plaza Veterinary Center was more than accommodating! Doctors Brett and Lucie Berryhill and Doctor Luikart took exceptional care of my little buddy. The vet technicians would never shy away from encouraging and playing with my cat. The staff here is incredibly friendly and welcoming and I can think of no place I'd rather have my little buddy receive care. IF YOU ONLY READ ONE REVIEW, PLEASE READ THIS ONE!: If I could give this clinic 100 stars I would! By far THE BEST vet clinic in Baton Rouge. The staff treats the patients as their own and they go above and beyond to not only be compassionate, but they also strive for excellence in their care. Our dog (a 12yo Goldendoodle named Loxley) had a tumor that showed up on her face over Easter break and it was growing at an alarming rate (almost doubling every day). We showed up (more like ambushed) this clinic the next Monday morning before they opened (with no appointment). Not only did they see us, but they were able to put us on the schedule the next day. When we arrived to pick Loxley up after the surgery, one of the team members was actually holding one of the other dogs that just came out of recovery just to soothe the dog. Upon arriving to pick up our dog, Dr. Ritchie met with us, and explained the (rather extensive) surgery and also showed us pictures/scans, so we could see exactly what was done. I feel compelled to also add that the surgery would have left Loxley disfigured, but Dr. Ritchie went above and beyond and added a "plastics" portion to her procedure to minimize the defect from the surgery. There is no way I can accurately put into words how grateful, appreciative and thankful we are for Dr. Ritchie and his staff. Personally, if I needed oral surgery, I would not be concerned if Dr. Ritchie worked on me. I have never seen that level of detail and compassion from ANY doctor, let alone a vet. Baton Rouge is very lucky that pet owners have access to such a talented and compassionate group.G Calahan

Very friendly people. After adopting 2 kittens in 2 months (one on purpose, the other by chance) I was looking for a new Vet closer to my house. I wasn't in a hurry but one of the kittens got an infected abscess from being feral for too long and I needed expert care quickly. I called Perkins Road Vet and at first they couldn't fit me in that afternoon but after I told them about my sick kitten the nice receptionist said she could make an exception and fit me in at the end of the day. I was EXTREMELY APPRECIATIVE. When I arrived they were super cool and saw me and my two babies immediately. The Dr and her nurse were pleasant and thorough and I never felt like they were rushing things just to quit for the day. They TRULY cared about my kittens and fixed the sick one up best they could, giving me the antibiotics and all that good stuff to finish the job. They scheduled a follow-up the next week but by 3 days later the abscess was healed and the kittens fever was down. The next visit we began all the vaccines and blood work, the usual kitten stuff… Same deal, pleasant and thorough and acting like they really enjoyed animals and helping them stay healthy. I've had a few cats and other vets in the past, I can honestly say that these are the nicest people I've dealt with and I'll be visiting them from now on 😻😻😻Zachary Schroll

If you are looking for outstanding quality and care for your dog or cat, especially for issues related to oral and dental health, Perkins Road Veterinary Hospital is the only place you need visit. I was referred to PRVH because my 11-year-old basset hound needed extensive oral surgery requiring multiple extractions and the repair of an oronasal fistula. Dr. Curt Ritchie and his staff spent the first part of our consultation building a rapport with my girl. This was extremely important to me because I promised my dog when we rescued each other that from that day forward she would have a good life for the rest of her days. After the examination, Dr. Ritchie carefully explained what he was going to do and made sure that all of my questions were answered and fears were allayed before I scheduled the surgery. On the day of the surgery, I was kept updated on my girl's status and in the days following the surgery, the staff called to check up on their patient. Dr. Ritchie and his staff made sure that I was able to keep my promise and his work improved my girl's quality of life immeasurably. She was always a sweet and happy girl, but her sweetness and happiness has increased exponentially in the 5+ weeks since her surgery.Tina Villa

Our family lives in Destrehan and we have four dogs. The Staff at Destrehan Animal Hospital has provided our pets with excellent care. What I love about this animal hospital is they take the time to evaluate our pets and they listen to and address our concerns. We had to put our kitty down this month and the vet here has been one of the kindest and most caring people we’ve ever worked with. Our cat was name Samus and she printed us a picture of Samus from Metroid on our meds for our kitty before we put her down. If you are like me, saying goodbye to a pet is one of the most difficult things (along with passing away of any kind) and I highly recommend this hospital for that. We were talked through the process and well taken care of when we were going through something so hard. Do NOT bring your babies to these vets! They don’t care about them. I brought to their attention how my dog couldn’t control her bowels and was swaying on her back legs. They told me it was probably just a nerve issue and did NOTHING. Fast forward a few months now she can’t walk on her back legs at all and has lost bladder control. Had they done something when I initially brought it to their attention this wouldn’t have happened. Now I don’t know if my dog will walk again. Here I am stuck paying for a wellness plan that I most definitely will never use again.PARTIN THE WAY

I love this place. The grooming crew pays special attention to each animal that comes there. It's like my dog is their dog and they make sure that I'm comfortable and my dog is comfortable. You can leave your animal there and go throughout your day knowing the staff will do everything possible to take care of your animal.
