I will start with the good. The instructors are amazing. Most of them that I have had are very intelligent and filled with the necessary knowledge to teach you. Now the bad. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE COUNSELORS!!!! Figure out what classes you need to take on your own. I spent 3.5 years there with a combination of full and part time and have no degree and no requirements for any programs that I told them I was most interested in. When I was a vulnerable 17 year old first generation college student there completely on my own they told me I needed to take reading for Nursing. For one, looking back, I placed out of reading. For two, I have yet to come across a nursing program that requires reading. It seems that they always gave me the run around and had me taking all of the classes that I did not need, and none of the classes that I did need. If you can figure out what classes you need to take on your own, then The school if great, and the education that you receive is great. If you have nobody to help you or guide you in your life and are solely dependent on the counselors advise, find an alternative.Amber Parson

I didn’t know I Loved ECC, until I moved and I was out of district so I had to go to MCC. I Hate MCC everything and everyone is shut off by 4pm and there’s no almost no teachers willing to teach past 4 (There are but only some). This is impossible to manage. I’m getting a job near ECC so I can go back. I MISS YOU. Not only does ecc have a ton a teachers, but they offer a variety of times for classes especially in the afternoon. There teachers are wonderful and dedicated (not all of course but most) and there facility offers so many different activities and clubs you can go crazy in there. I won’t cheat on you MCC but I will inform you when I leave you and that it’s not working out.ruby leiva

The building is not very inviting because it is so big, but once you get in and figure out what's where it becomes less intimidating. I graduated here with my associate's degree in Leadership. 60 of my credits transferred from NWTC to Concordia University of Wisconsin. I preferred the video conference classes. My son is currently attending the school. I was a student there back in the early 80's. The campus is very nice. Helpful faculty, variety of courses and majors. Good food choices at the cafeteria and a workout area with plenty of free weights and machines with an attached gymnasium. Lots of nice areas to study both inside and outside.David Klinzing

Excellent place to take a test! I took a certification exam through Pearson Vue at NWTC. The test center employees explained everything thoroughly and the center itself was quiet enough to take my exam. Im a criminal Justice major and i like program except one huge thing it needs more hands traning so you prepared for the job once you graduate and not have move on for four degree and they need to have dorminties to live on i hardly see people on campus it almost empety they have two many campuses they need to have one and the paint falling off the school. The advisors are literally the worst I have seen. They are basically unaware of how to advise, impossible to reach, don't follow through, and give no recommendations on pre requisite classes. Now the health science department is even worse. The instructors pride themselves on a high failure percentage. They deviate from school policy and ALL Bio 210 and 211 professors are arrogant and unwilling to support your child. Stay away from the arrogant professors, AND they don't care about your future.AB Gentry

this technical college is the best technical college in south carolina, there was a problem with the workers at the edgefield campus, they lost my transcripts, and they tried to cancel my advisement appointment so they could meet their boyfriend in the parking lot, the students at the edgefield campus were rude, and trashy, they are not going to stop me from going there, the classes that you have to take are wonderful, the instructional methods are excellentJessica Taylor

This University has a lot of shady practices going on. Please be careful with taking information given by financial aid employees as fact. I have been given conflicting information from this department to where I feel I can no longer trust them. I HIGHLY recommend doing emailing communications with them and BCC other departments that is pertinent to your concern for a second opinion. It's unfortunate, but employees will lie and say they did not say a certain thing to keep their jobs and will lie about what was said with no problems. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel about this school. I live on campus and a week can’t go by without something breaking. I’m beginning to think Lamar puts LITERAL bandaids on things to “fix” the problem. Also the dorms are not what I’d call clean. I moved into my summer dorm a few days ago and the place was infested with gnats. I’ve killed at least one hundred of these things in a matter of a few days. Daughter is a Freshman there this year. I’m completely impressed with the campus And the dorms are amazing never seen ones so nice. The student resources are the highlight for me, the learning lab for learning disabilities is simply perfect. Professor Gorski, McHugh, and Lucas in particular went above and beyond to make sure students felt supported and were able to learn to the best of their ability. I visited Northcentral Technical college for my son who is a senior in Elkhorn high school who made it to the semi-finals for WI Esports for the game Smite and they hosted the competition for the semi-finals and finals for numerous games from high schools all over WI and I had a great time and the campus was awesome and really nice, the set up was awesome and everyone was so welcoming, I'd go back anytime!!!Elizabeth Orwig

Both my wife and I were returning college students and Stark State Alumni class of 2012. We both received a great education. She went for respiratory therapy and I went for Graphic Design. The graphic design program was wonderful. The professors were all very knowledgeable and really cared about their students (huge shout outs to Michelle Lash and Eugene Starr). The classes are small and it's very easy to schedule time with the professors if you need help or need to go over some things. It's also nice to have online classes if that's your thing. For the younger students (and older alike), Stark State also hooks you up with SALT at no charge after graduation, which is a useful tool to help find employement after graduation. Luckily I furthered my career without having to use SALT. The biggest recommendation I could suggest would be to offer more of certain classes. Sometimes only one class is offered a semester and can conflict with working hours. Thank you, Stark State and to all of my professors for giving me a great education and giving me a fighting chance in the workforce after graduation. For those who are seeking four year degrees and beyond, Stark State is definitely a great (and affordable) place to start.stephen slusny

I attended Stark State College a number of years ago when it was Stark Technical College. I am surprised by the negative reviews, because I had a great experience at the school. I graduate with a degree in Computer Technology, and the courses were challenging and taught me a lot. I still remember some of the great instructors like Mrs. McBride in my math classes. I even worked there part-time for about a year doing LAN Administration. They have provided me with a foundation for a very successful career in IT. I later completed my Bachelor degree at Kent State. I am currently completing my MBA. I was able to get a copy of my transcripts, even after graduating 25 years ago, by faxing in a request. I did this for two different Universities, and they arrived within a week. In this age there should be a way to do it electronically like Kent State, but at least they do not charge you for them. Overall I had an excellent experience and they prepared me for a very rewarding career in Computer Technology. I can not believe Stark State has less than 4 stars! This is my second semester and I LOVE it! The faculty are truly amazing and extremely helpful! This college also offers small class room sizes which makes learning more personal. Your teachers and professors always do their best to know each student by name. It is also extremely great for working folks who have busy work loads. They have many courses that can virtually work with any type of schedule. There are many success programs that Stark State offers, including assistance with any subject as well as a great Accommodations program for those with any learning disability/disability from minor to severe. (For reference, I am a first-generation college student, have a learning disability, and a physical disability.) TMCC sets students up for success. I have had a very positive experience both as a student and working for the school. I will be finishing a dual-degree sooner than expected. Most of the professors are great, and everyone in the humanities department is amazing. Most of the staff is very professional and able to well-inform students of what classes to take and what services may benefit them. On top of this, the school also offers free tutoring and mental health services. As a first-generation college student, I feel TMCC has helped me at every step of the way to succeed. With only 8 classes left to take, I still have a cumulative GPA of 4.0 despite doing relatively poorly in high school. As long as you put in your best effort, teachers will do everything possible to help you succeed. If you do not put any effort in and expect a handout, then it will be extremely difficult to succeed. This is a tremendous school with a caring and compassionate staff and faculty. This school has afforded me so many opportunities that I wouldn't have otherwise received without them. When I got to Reno, I was homeless. I arrived with two suitcases and less than $100 in the bank. I was staying with a friend and making very little money. I found myself in a situation where I worked hard labor job after hard labor job, trapped in a vicious cycle of injury and poverty and no clear view of how to exit my situation. In the month of December 2014, I walked into the offices at TMCC. In less than a year, I have found employment, I'm less than a year from finishing my degree and I am a Dean's list student. I had it in my head that I wanted to succeed and I was fortunate that this school wanted to help me to do exactly that. The teachers were compassionate and patient. Don't listen to the bad reviews, everybody has a different experience and different perceptions. Ive taken at least 20+ classes over 12 years, I love tmcc. It's a good community college in every way. I attended here on and off from 1999-2012. I learned how to teach step aerobics from the greatest fitness instructor imo Verna Lewis. I took many general ed classes as well as a few paralegal courses and a ton of fitness classes as well. The campus is beautiful, many bathrooms with free sanitary napkins if needed, the vending machines are reasonably priced. The classes are very fair priced. It's a wonderful school and a WAY better option then a vocational school. eg: Realtor school online vocational school $600+, Tmcc Realtor program $50-100.Rachela Reno Rocks

I recently finished my second Technical degree for Metal Fabrication as a returning student. I delayed going back to school for years for lots of reasons, but mostly because I thought it would be as awful of an experience as High School was. Instead the teachers in my program were excellent. I was always challenged by the projects and supported in my learning in equal measure. If you're looking to get into welding or Metal Fabrication, these programs are career fields that need people, pay well, and you can learn them here! Don't sleep on the trade skills that can be taught here. Go to the open houses, see if these are things you're interested in doing. A 4 year degree isn't The guarantee of employment it used to be, but these one year Technical degrees, leading to in demand fields are.Travis H

Very nice tech college. Almost everyone you come across on campus can point you in the right direction. I just started school today online. But tomorrow I get to go to campus. It's a clean sanitary environment. There is currently some remodeling going on, so part of the building you cannot access… yet! AC was on, felt awesome. temperature didn't change much room to room either. All the employees seem to know their job very well and are willing to help. I chose Madison Area Technical College because I know many people that have graduated and successfully got into a job they wanted. This school is also smaller than UW Madison so I feel like the learning experience is better, more hands on, more participation versus a large school such as UW Madison.Shane Toycen

The good profs here are all just professors moonlighting from UW Madison, I'd honestly say you should apply to and go to literally any other UW system school before here. The quality of education isn't bad- but they somehow managed to misplace finances and put 650 bucks into collections randomly – without mailing me any notifications, and without a notifications on the online portal. You won't get competency from any of the administrative staff, expect 5 week long waits to see a counselor for any sort of urgent need. If you are a student with a disability – make sure you have additional copies of any medical documentation, they will claim to lose it. The administration does not care about you. They do not care if you are a student or an employee, they do not care about you. They do not care about your kids, they do not care about the job you have to work on the weekend to make ends meet. The top administration will continue to rake in money for themselves and make sure they’re providing both employees and students with as little as they possibly can. All you are is either potential money or potential labor. You are a commodity to be used to the benefit of people you don’t even know. The entire art department is a joke. Calhoun has crippled its own photography program by getting rid of the best studio photography teacher it has probably ever had just because he didn't have a degree yet he's been a professional working photographer for about 30 years. Calhoun has a bad history of hiring people to teach that don't do their job. The dean and the underlings don't care if you have a problem if it affects their staff. Calhoun is famous for minimizing the parking spaces despite the rising number of students attending each year. The financial aid department is worthless too. I'm transferring to Wallace State instead of going back to Calhoun to earn my degree.BringPopcorn

What I love about Calhoun is that they want to make sure you know how to do. Hands down Calhoun is one of the be places to study IT in the state. The classes are small enough that you are able to get hands on training and your taught by instructors who work in the field. Not someone who is good at taking test and decided to teach. The only complaint I have is that Calhoun should try to improve the student experience more. It's hard to accomplish considering most students are only there 1-2 years but there should be more university sponsored events live movie nights, dances, etc.Christoper J

In a time when unique challenges presented themselves, the College of Eastern Idaho dug in. There was never a question of whether the demanding conditions would stop students from getting their education, it was only a question of what needed to happen to make sure that they did. CEI faculty and staff, under the care of an amazing administration, simply rolled up their sleeves and got it done. The learning curve for adapting to a pandemic was wrangled by the brute force of amazing minds aligned towards a goal. Nice and clean campus seems to be well organized, the technical department seems very organized with all the tools and the training necessary to be prepared for my job. The campus was so clean and so organized that I think I will sign my wife up so she can start classes in the fall. We even showed up before classes were to supposed to start, and the security guard was good about letting us in, it was pretty cold, I hope somebody checked on him cuz he had to walk what seems like miles just to come open the door for us. 😁Ryan Archibald

Putting a review in on behalf of my experience in the auto tech side of CWI. Absolute nightmare and a waste of about $10000. The instructors are unbelievably rude, lazy, and unorganized I guess you would say. I went there for about 2 1/2 total years. One instructor that I’m not gonna name because he was the only good instructor dropped down from a higher position in the school because all the staff was complaining and not actually getting stuff done. Apparently that reflected on him but nobody listened so he just stepped away from the position and let Alex take it. 2 other instructors quit during my time there. Drug testing there seemed to be a trend for testing all other ethnicities except Caucasians, 2 per class. All I’m gonna say about that sense it’s a sensitive subject. John D, needs to be fired. Called me “boy” after I nicely asked him to call me by my name “Alex” and proceeded to scream at me making a scene for the whole class over me missing the last 15 minutes of class for a once in a life time opportunity for most people. He also tried to fail me by doing everything he could to not help me catch up in class after I got extremely sick for about a week and a half and had to go to the hospital. Scott the electrical instructor. He just lectures you for literally 4 1/2 hours and makes pointless jokes that aren’t funny at all and wastes more time. CWI did acknowledge that problem and talked to the students about it but ended up doing nothing. Your last half an hour to an hour of class with Scott is hands on time with an actual vehicle and guess what? Scott usually disappears until the last 10 minutes of class because Scott has 2 jobs and doesn’t really care about his students success. The $10000 waste is all the expensive tools and that $5000 Snap On box that they basically tell the students you absolutely need even though you really don’t touch your tools all that much. And finally the timing of lying eventually gets unbearable. With the tension between John D and I he went behind my back told Alex a bunch of lies such as I’m not doing enough, I’m not being hands on, I’m missing during class, and I’m being disrespectful to him which resulted in me being set in a self made intervention because apparently to Alex instructors are always right. After the whole intervention I had to tell John D when I had to go to the bathroom and after class I had to go spend 30 minutes finding Alex to tell him one thing I learned in class today. Sounds a lot like kindergarten. This resulted in me having a bad relationship with my managers at work(auto industry job CWI told me I had to have to graduate) and losing my job for constantly being late. I also quit CWI because 2 years of being a rag doll for working my butt off eventually gets old believe it or not. Fighting through the depression and anger wasn’t worth the degree in my opinion. This was my experience at CWI and I truly hope yours is different but I would explore your options before you just throw yourself into that school.Alex Hartley

If i could rate this school a 0 i would. I recently moved from out of state, and just started my first semester at this school. My fiance and i have numerous issues, and it's only the second week of class. If you want financial aid from this school, good luck its a joke. We've been working on financial aid since FEBRUARY and still don't have it. We go to "one stop" and they say "oh no, you need this this this and this". Okay, fine so we would do that and go back to turn in what they wanted, then it was "nope that's all wrong you don't need any of this, this is what you need". It's been a ton of loopholes and i feel as if the staff aren't trained properly and we've been told different things every time. Their website is outdated and way behind other schools. Blackboard is unorganized, their payment plans are a joke. I had issues just trying to buy my textbooks, you would think that would be simple right?! Not at this school. They have a 10% graduation rate and i can see why. They make me want to move just to find a better school. Don't take online classes either because there teachers drop you for "nonattendance" when really their just unorganized and can't correctly check the assignments via the students. The education meets expectations, teachers are helpful/colorful, classrooms are medium size like high school; so you get the student participation/feedback that assists you in your development and growth. Writing a review for UNMC is an emotional task for me because they have been there for my mom and family through life, sickness, recovery, health, and even death. In all they've been there for they did right, without judgement or bias, and with care, hope, and support. I live in Kansas, but I know this hospital and all the towers better than some streets near my home. I've interacted with many specialty doctors, nurses, techs, housekeeping staff, ER, security team members, and so many others. We've experienced teams in Kidney Transplant, Wound Care, Cardiovascular, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Derm, Cancer Center, and the Comfort Care Team. I can tell you that these teams are here because they love what they do. If you're considering UNMC as a new place to care for your needs I would do so without hesitation. When my mom moved they were so helpful in her transition to Kansas. Without them we'd be lost. We will miss each of her teams, their knowledge, and their care. It was so hard to leave.Tam E

Very disappointed in care provided. Nursing seems sorely under staffed. Although they frequently have cell phone in hand. Communication between staff (doctors and nursing staff)is lacking. Communication of providers and patients is insufficient. Facility is dirty dusty and run down. And should we talk about HIPPA….nothing to talk about….it doesn't exist there. Hep locks do not get flushed even after several days….negligent much? Showers/bed baths not offered to patient even after 3 days in-house. Are they trying for some nosocomial infections?S B

Today I went to Nebraska medical center and the eye clinic. The people that are very friendly and nice it's clean has three levels. The doctor I seen seem very knowledgeable and was very concerned with my eye condition it was funny when we first pulled up and parked in the first row there was a broom next to the handicap sign made me laugh remind me of handicap which parking. Someone probably had clean snow off their car with the broom and left it there.Karen Beautiful

Went to Trilogy beauty salon for a haircut and hair color appointment. Student did a really nice job on both. All the students were dressed professionally They were wearing nice looking smocks unlike some other beauty schools were they wore whatever they wished Trilogy salon uses very high quality products which is appreciated Students do take more time completing a hair cut or hair color Instructors are there if they have any questions and everything they do is looked at by the teacher Students gain valuable experience there Highly recommendedKathy Salm

Affordable for gen eds but for a technical college they have some of the worse tech issues I have every seen my I have seen middle schools with better technical support. Do not take there advice on what laptop to buy since I was told to buy a Microsoft brand laptop but I needed to add every chrome extension needed to even access half the course material. I had to ask my instructors to use my personal email only since I could send emails through my school one but could not read any of the instructors emails.Gunfire Productions

Let's just say I'm no spring chicken. I got my Industrial electrical apprenticeship at the age of 46 and at the age of 50 I graduated. It was not an easy thing for me. But the program was excellent and they gave me alot of skills I use everyday at my job. Some days I think I should have tried fitting the instrumentation specialist into my schedule some how but with work hours it wouldn't have work. I went to Delaware County Community College part time for four years after high school. It's one of the best decisions I ever made. I really didn't know what I wanted to do right out of high school and I didn't want to go to a super expensive university and still not be sure. I started out with general studies. I just finished my Liberal Arts associate's degree there this past spring. I enjoyed my time at this school. I got to take a lot of different classes to really figure out what I like and what I dislike, and it's way more affordable to do that here. The campus is beautiful, especially the STEM center. There's lots of helpful services and the professors I had were great. I'm now transfering to another school to study graphic design and I feel like DCCC helped me get on the right track. The cost isn't horrible and the classes are similar to classes offered by four year universities. The problems I have lie with the administration (financial aid, career center, cashier office.) They do not know how to deal with students in a timely, concise manner. I was unable to get in and complete a single course for the last two years due to administrative problems, even though I had been with them previously. I went here from fresh out of high school from 2016-2019 and graduated there with my associates. Such a Beautiful campus and I had a very great experience at DCCC, I’ve had some pretty good professors during my time there although some did seem to only be there for a check. During my time here I was also in the KEYS program and they have such wonderful staff very helpful and friendly. This is my second year at Chattanooga State and I love it. The professors absolutely care about your success and offer plenty of office hours to come by. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, especially when it comes to complicated topics like financial aid. Other students seem just as committed to the work as everyone else. The campus is clean and very pleasant to be in. The only downside is the parking. It is worth removing a star. It is a nightmare at the beginning of the semester. Unless you wake up early and arrive around eight or nine in the morning, you will struggle to find a parking spot, which is kind of awful when you don't have class for three more hours. Otherwise, I cannot imagine a better community college here. There are lots of events every month that students can participate in. The cafeteria food is pretty decent and offers a large selection. The library allows food and drink so that you can ear while you work or study. Little things like this make Chatt State super nice. Also, since someone mentioned the online classes, they will keep you very busy. The instructors expect more work than an actual lecture class, but it is manageable as long as you keep track of your time and when certain things are due.Onyx R

I had a issue with another student and I brought it to her attention in hopes she would help solve the issue, but she did the complete opposite. Since she knew the girl's mom, Ms. Jackson decided to team up with her and "TRY" to get me kicked out of the school. I am just glad that the higher ups seen through it all and nothing came of their wrong doings. I had to hire a attorney, just in case things got worse since Ms. Jackson didn't wont to see the proof I had regarding the other girl.Kierra Mangham

Just spent a fun couple weeks jumping through admission hoops here. Beginning to end the process was a pain, with uninformed staff, unnecessary phone tag, and an online portal that couldn't be more labyrinthine if it were coded by Daedalus… The kicker? The class I jumped all those hoops for was not even on offer. Now, call me old fashioned, but when someone asks me for a thing I don't have, I tend to lead with the fact that I don't have it. Why the good folks of Chatt. State felt it necessary for me to complete admissions before telling me it's all for nothing is beyond me.M C

The teachers are great and the campus is nice but trying to get financial aid during COVID is impossible. The financial aid advisors are rude and don’t seem like they want to help you at all. Just because of this reason I will not be recommending MHCC to any of my friends and would suggest to go to Clackamas Community College where they are much, MUCH more helpful.Dima Poperechnyy

You have to take the bad with the good. There are some great people who work for this school, then there are people who could care less bout you and your education. They make you jump through hoops and pass you around with little to no help. I attended Sullivan for their culinary arts program and I have some insight for future students going into the program. First being, have an idea for what you're wanting to achieve in life. Culinary school is very expensive for what you get and there are other, more cost efficient ways to achieve your goals. I recommend working in the industry for at least two years before you decide to go to culinary school. You will find a lot of well-known chefs didn't graduate culinary school. Everything you are learning in school can be self taught or learned in the industry.The key to becoming a great chef is the understanding of the industry. I say this all because at Sullivan its just a matter of time before you're screwed over by financial aid. The entire department is very disorganized. Important papers of mine seemed to keep going missing in their hands making my life very stressful. Also if you plan on doing on campus housing just DON'T. It is crazy expensive and it is exactly like high school. I loved my time at Sullivan don't get me wrong but is it worth the money you spend, NO.Annah Cecil

I haven't had any problems with Sullivan. I have been here for about 6 months and after attending JCC and UofL I must say Sullivan has already given me a much better experience. JCC and UofL let me (at 18) pick a bunch of random classes that were way too hard and never got back to me about any issues, it took way too long to get in touch with anyone for meetings or questions and at Sullivan they are always a quick phone call or office visit away. Teachers seem to really care and take the time to call you on their off time to congratulate you on good test scores, inquire why you are missing class, or pull you aside in class if you are on the brink or failing or even on the brink of getting an "A". If you don't miss a lot of class there won't be any problems, and there are even students in my classes who are active duty and miss class a lot and teachers have been as accommodating as possible. I can honestly say that transferring to Sullivan University from the University of Louisville was one of the best decisions I ever made. Class sizes are small, so it's easy to ask questions and get help if you need it. The instructor's here aren't just trying to "push you through", they actually care that you learn the material. The food served in the cafeteria is great and all of the staff/personnel are super helpful and friendly. My only complaint however would be the financial planning office. Some of the advisers can be kind of rude and you have to constantly call/send e-mails just to get a response for an appointment, in my experience. It's best to just show-up in person and request a meeting. Other than that, I would highly recommend Sullivan University to potential students.Brea M

This is a really good school if you’re all about your academics. I’ve had my good times and my bad times here at MCC. Overall on the academic side of MCC I appreciate all of the hard work that most of my professors have done. There are professors here that definitely need to be more qualified with what they are teaching as it has affected my grades when I’ve taken their courses. I am an Honor student here at MCC with a GPA of 3.30 and have never once had an issue with organization skills until my 2019 spring semester. A couple of the professors have been unorganized, no syllabus and sometimes they have other priorities when they have to teach a class in other words they put another professor in place when they have to go to another job. Although these were a couple of issues within my time here at MCC I enjoyed the experience of learning new knowledge for my future career. I really liked a lot of my professors but a couple of them have been a little rough. If you communicate with your professors about your issues that you’re having it really helps and shows that you’re determined to do your work and it shows you care about your work as well. Environment wise I’d have to say it’s not healthy (mentally/physically) and or good for many people. There have been students who have left garbage all over the place and don’t clean up after themselves which leads to maintenance having to clean it all up. With my time here I have helped maintenance clean up other people’s messes so they don’t have to worry about it as much. Also the amount of vaping, drug use, and underage drinking in the lounge is unacceptable and nothing has been done to take care of this issue except shutting the lounge down. I feel as if this does nothing but illustrates that they can go elsewhere within the college and do these things. An authority figure should really take this into consideration and do something about this because it affects others who have nothing to do with these people and it ruins people’s Health. You can smell weed from a mile away and if people have asthma or a health condition this could affect them physically. I do not appreciate this at all and I wish something was done about it. The other big issue environmentally is the fact that the main cafeteria can get very loud and some students have no manners and do not respect others around them. If they are asked to quiet down they do the opposite It has gotten to the point where a lot of people have complained and yet nothing is done to prevent this from happening again. The college needs to have some control over what students do and take action on these issues. I wish that there could be some changes here and I hope for the best for everyone at MCC. Overall it is a good school for your academics but is definitely not a mentally healthy place environmentally. Even if you try to get away and go somewhere else for privacy somehow drama follows behind you. A Tip would be after your classes go home if you can or go to the back of the library in the quiet study room. So I will start with sharing my positive highlights of the fall semester during covid. Some teachers were empathetic to the situation the entire nation went through. Prof. Muldoon did such an amazing job touching base and gaining clarity of students frustration and technical difficulties during this time. Prof Diane. Hillyer OMG if I were ever to be a college professor I’d want to have her passion and dedication. She’s a math angel, truly loves her job and her videos were perfect! Now chemistry online and labs online were a joke!!! The professor did not make enough office hours, used YouTube videos from other teachers, used repetitive templates for each week lesson with no data. If I wanted to learn chemistry that way I could’ve honestly gone on Edx.org for FREE and probably have learned the curriculum better. I might of missed 1 assignment and handed in 1 assignment 10 mins late and didn’t receive the grade or support needed. But unfortunately as a paying student I just have to deal with it, 2k down the drain! Funny thing I am also a teacher during covid and actually work in the building with student and never would I have ever made my students feel isolated like this professor did. I’ve never seen or heard my chemistry teachers voice but I’m pretty sure they got paid every two weeks while there’s probably many qualified teachers that could have done a way better job. I was warned about this professor but I learned the hard way. The school overall has a nice faculty and I feel like the majority do care. This is unfortunate when professor get so accustomed to a repetitive lifestyle because blackboard actually graded my exams so again not sure what some professor did during Covid behind the scene and so-called virtual teaching. This is a a good school to start or to get the credits needed for a post-Bach. I decided to go to a private school with a more dedicated team and more virtual teaching experience.Dignora Castillo

I was a potential international student and found Manchester Community College a great place to go. I called the first time and wasn’t able to talk to the responsible for international students but left my phone number and email. Umesh sent me an email saying he would give me a call. He did, two days later and was rude and impatient since the moment I picked up the phone and was acting like he was doing me a favor to call me. He said I should go back to my country and take my visa there instead of changing my status here, which is not up to him, was questioning how I was gonna become a student and more. I can’t even explain how rude and disrespectful he was to me who was just trying to make an appointment to go to the campus and get more informations in person about fees and the I20. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, specially for international students! Very disappointedRayane Michelle

As someone who isn’t from the USA and relocated from United Kingdom , it was important that I made the correct choice when it came to education in the United States , after doing my research and reaching out to different schools who have a massage program I chose gateway because from the first contact with Mr Tapscott he was super friendly , passionate and helpful , he made sure I had all the information I needed and he directed me to the right place to complete my registration to the program . The price is amazing and they definitely can charge way more for the service they provide , gateway and especially Mr Tapscott made the process so easy and comfortable . My first day of class was so welcoming and they went the extra mile to make sure I/ we students were comfortable , I had the best experience at gateway and this experience was due to my fellow classmates but mostly for the teachers attitude and pride in teaching , Mr Tapscott , ms bouer, and mr Ybarra were amazing , they are so good at what they do and the effort and dedication they put in to each and every student sets them apart from any other education opportunity I’ve taken , we created a family and this includes the teachers , they allowed us to learn at our own pace and didn’t disrespect us , they encouraged us , the material in the program was inspiring and the method of teaching made the learning fun , it was a pleasure to go to gateway for the 9 months of the program and I looked forward to seeing my teachers and classmates everyday throughout the course , the program allows for Externship which gives us the opportunity to work with others in the community also work with employers of massage therapy , it gives you an insight to what to expect after the program . This in my option gives you the experience and confidence to be successful in your future , I love Mr Tapscott and is in my opinion an amazing teacher , a kind , honest , trustworthy person who has pride in his work , he has a pride for everything he does or talks about , I couldn’t of asked for a better college to attend and I am blessed to be apart of the experience and to see people who are passionate about what they do to improve peoples lives . I felt included and that I had a voice within this experience. Today I am a massage therapist after attending this program I’m excited to go into the community prepared and ready and that is all thanks to gateway and Mr Tapscott , thank you so much for everything, thank you for the experience you create , thank you for the love you give , your an amazing guy sir . I recently graduated from the Massage Therapy Program at Gateway. Mr. Tapscott and his team were the most supportive, inspirational, knowledgeable and humorous group of instructors I have ever studied under. Mr. Tapscott taught the online portion of the course that was heavily weighted in anatomy, physiology and introduction to massage therapy. Mr. Tapscott was always offering assistance to students and following up on financial aid, GI Bill funding, finding places to do externships, or assisting with any other issues the students may have faced. The lab portions of the class were taught by Mr. Ybarra and Ms. Bauer, both experienced massage therapists, both dedicated to successful outcomes for all the students. Mr. Ybarra is known for his demonstrations on various massage and stretching techniques during labs. All three instructors shared a great many stories of their experiences in the massage industry. This team of teachers worked very well together and created an environment where the students felt proud to be part of the class and continuously improved in their massage skills through out the course. Each teacher has a great sense of humor, will be direct if there are issues to address but they are always respectful and professional. The program was also the start of many long lasting friendships and a successful future in the massage industry for myself. I highly recommend the Gateway Massage Therapy Program for anyone that has a desire to improve peoples lives.Kathleen Dimitruck

DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL!!! I have been attending this school for a while. When I had enrolled I wasn’t given proper information. I do online school and I’ve been struggling with math and biology and to my surprise the instructors do not put the effort in to help other students online. I went in to speak to an advisor and low and behold she didn’t help either. I have a learning disability and stated that information to the advisor and the best answer she gave me was “unfortunately we don’t have special services for students who have disabilities” I’m in the process of getting my associates degree in DMS and no advisors informed me before I started the program that I needed to take an HESI Exam. Another thing is for students who do the online classes, students have to their webcams on to take the tests/quizzes but don’t require it during other class time such as completing assignments. IM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS SCHOOL!!! THERE IS NO HELP WHAT SO EVER AND DONT HELP STUDENTS SUCCEED!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! And because I struggle in math, I’ve tried free Tutoring and they only available for an hour and if you need more time you need to make a new appointment. An hour gets 3 questions done and they still don’t walk you through the process.Monica Balderrama

Worst college experience. The clinical advisor is incapable of her job and pushed the clinical to a future start even though the CPR card takes one day to get but she decides to push it a whole week when we should have been done the day the quarter finished. The phlebotomy instructor is really rude and disrespectful of students and makes students not feel comfortable to speak up and if to ask a question she acts like your a child completely rude. I don't recommend coming to this college. Also the virtual graduation was upsetting to know I had sent my information and sent a photo and not even be on it. Really makes me unhappy to know I spent money and time to be treated as a student like trash and not get acknowledged for the hard work and time put into trying to succeed. I won't want to come back to this college for the at most disrespectful people.Ryan

This is a terrible college. It’s like pulling teeth to get anyone to email you back about important, time-sensitive information, and you get the runaround when they do. This happened when I was applying for admission, and is currently happening now that they’ve denied me, because they are incompetent, the certificate I worked so hard for. Because they changed the numbers on some math courses, they all of a sudden don’t count towards my certificate, and they lost the official transcript that I sent from my former college, and are denying my transfer credit. Man i had trouble here. Not only did they give me the wrong classes but it turns out i never had FAFSA to cover my classes. And they make me pay for them two years after I left the college. Thank goodness i never continued to study here. I know they have a lot of students to manage but still if you were able to catch that years later then why not then? I knew something was wrong here.
