So it’s been some time, but I’m ready to share our story at MD Anderson Cancer Center. They are known as the best of the best… honestly, 99% of facilities can render the NCCN Standard of Care. We chose MDA due to mother’s extremely rare form of leukemia. At first things were going well, until they weren’t. After the second stem cell transplant, she developed a fungal lung infection. Overnight you could see the physician team were ready to wipe their hands. At seventy days inpatient, they took advantage of my father who stayed in-room the entire time. They referred to it as “comfort care” when in reality it was palliative care. They did not explain they were ceasing intervention. The attitude of the nurses and physicians changed once we realized the sham they had pulled. I ended up having to record interactions with the care team due to the constant lies. A ED Physician came in the room screaming at my father at 3am “She’s dying and you’re over there sleeping!” The monitors were not being monitored at the nursing station, which resulted my mother going into full pulmonary arrest. A night custodian actually discovered this event. We had the organ harvest team visit multiple times, even after saying no, for a signature to study the organs. They said it could be six to nine months for the body to be returned. We would not recommend this money hungry corporation to anyone, unless they are the only location for a clinical trial. Read actual patient reviews and look past the cute commercials. For the record, they billed insurance $158k, per night, for room and board. This did not include medications, diagnostics, or any other care.Justin

DO NOT come here for critical care. If your loved one needs ICU- get transferred. The doctors did a terrible job communicating the severity of my mothers condition. They also didn’t try all treatment methods for her condition most ICUs would be equipped to handle. I am an icu nurse and I knew she was declining fast. The doctors made multiple excuses to not have a meeting with my family to be honest and discuss goals of care, even though I asked MULTIPLE times. I was left the responsibility to communicate the severity of her condition to my family. Because of covid, she wasn’t able to have more then 1 visitor at a time. prior to when my dad and I finally were allowed to came up, the nurse practitioner told me over the phone she and the attending would meet with us and have a goals of care discussion, they never showed up. They robbed us of the opportunity for my family to say goodbye peacefully. No one got to say goodbye, instead I was called in the middle of the night to rush to the hospital to watch her die I reported my concerns to the patient advocacy department, I had a meeting with Dr. Nates the medical director of the icu and told him everything in a detailed letter. I emailed him that letter because he asked for it and said he was going to email me back in 1 month telling me changes he implemented. It’s been 4 months and I’ve contacted the advocacy department again asking for a response and they never replied. They don’t care about families. I’ve worked in many ICUs in Texas and Colorado and THIS hospital needs some serious training on how to walk families through the inevitable.Katie

my husband entered more than a year ago during that time his treatment was excellent. there a syndrome was detected for which he was operated on everything was working perfectly until more than two months ago my husband's insurance communicated saying that there was a contract signed by my husband's company where they were covering 85% percent of his hospital stay that they had decided not to follow due to its high costs. The insurance tried to reach an agreement between the hospital and them, to which the answer was that we, as a hospital, do not have to accommodate any insurance; they are the ones who have to accommodate our policies. My husband has not been treated for three months since his oncologist, who was always good but never let his cases be taken elsewhere, we sent him a message if he could refer us to another oncologist, he replied, look for the one that best suits you. Now they only call us to ask when we are going to pay what we owe. With this, it is demonstrated that as a recognized hospital, they only care about your money before your well-being. If you do not have insurance that covers all the excessive costs, you are not a millionaire or you do not have someone to sign a contract to support you, do not waste your time there, you can die trying. they are more business than heartMateoAnimates

This heartfelt review is difficult for me because I actually attended Alvin junior high and Alvin high school off and on throughout my 12 years. I love this town. I was happy to attend this college for that precise reason. However, there were many many obstacles I went through to get my degree here. Frequently, I had to wait my opportunity cost between a poorly taught class, and a class dedicated towards my profession. This should not be happening. Two things caused this. Professors who do not calculate the time required to perform homework and assignments out of class Is one. The second cause were professors who should not be teaching at all. They are either rude, careless Or have some type of issue within their person. Every semester I had a professor like this even after referencing rate my professor. Eventually because of this college hiring so many professors with personal issues it eventually cost me my accumulative science and math GPA to fall under. Consequently, I would not qualify to enter into university science or math department. Every semester on student loans, I worked 10 hours a day for seven days a week for two years. There should have been no reason why my grades were affected. However, how a professor teaches is one of those things that an individual has absolutely no control over. Because of the poor department management and analysis of teaching from professors by administrative, I will no longer be able to pursue the group degree I intended on pursuing. As a compromise, I had to apply for graduation for a general studies associates to leave this college peacefully, and it not destroy my loan approval or potential to graduate in four years. Best degree plans for this college are governments, English, etc. Stay at another community college for science and math because these departments are seriously on organized and not monitored.Shauna Herrera

Keep Alvin Beautiful greeted at the Alvin City Fall cleanup. Texas Pride and others showed up 2 collect all kinds of trash and recycle. Really impressed with everybody that I got to work with as they had a great attitude and even though most were new to the event they jumped in and made things work well. Really proud of everybody who participated and made this a great event and keeping our city sparkling Update: the EMS and police cadet departments pulled together to do a huge exercise for the training of their students. Using the building abandoned building across the street they staged a mass shooter that the police cadets had to take out and then they pulled in the EMS students to help pick up and treat all the wounded. Was a terrific activity and professionally done. Very fun to participate in as a victim. Update: we had the spring Alvin clean up and had the best participation ever. 151 people brought all kinds of trash, metal recycle, electronics, batteries, paper shredding, and green waste to be recycled. Great place to take classes. My son takes classes here in the summer to transfer to his 4 year university. He has enjoyed all of his professors. I like the school because they have a great enrollment process. They've got a waiting area and they call you up by name and clearly post your name on monitors. I only give 4 stars because of their police department. If you pull through a parking space-ticket. They watch every vehicle and the slightest parking lot infraction can bring a quick ticket. They're using it as a money generator. You've got to read their police handout. A lot of rules are in place that aren't posted and a visitor can quickly find themselves ticketed. I’ve already graduated a couple years ago and wanted to share some of my experiences that just linger in my mind. I once went to the financial aid office, you know, for aid. They shut me down in all ways, and wouldn’t bother to offer any alternate help or information. I remember mentioning I was considering pursuing a career in the veterinary field, to be laughed at and told “that’s not worth it”. Ok. I took art classes to hold on to something enjoyable here, and they were just as disappointing. The professors didn’t care, I didn’t mind that though since I enjoyed the subject anyways. What got me was when I’d go to them for advice, it was always such a beat down to my motivation. I had one who I asked how could I become a tattoo artist, for him to tell me how pointless it is in trying because who would want to teach me to “take their job”. Alright, not the first time I’ve been shot down in any aspirations I dared dream of in this place. I’ve had professors who were mean, tired, optimistic, or even just straight checked out. It’s not completely their fault in the end. I know everything about teaching is hard. I wanted to be an art teacher until I saw the one I had in highschool absolutely torn down from what she had to deal with. Though she always encouraged me to follow through with it, unlike any person in this college. All’s said and done in the end, I got my dinky degree after all. UPDATE: My experience here has gotten worst. Please do not go to this community college. The teachers are unorganized and so hard to reach. The VA advisor Has no clue what he’s doing and after multiple request to change advisor I finally received one. I have to change majors for just one semester to take a class I don’t need, and then switch back to original major before the end of the semester to graduate from this school. Absolutely horrible staff that has no clue what they are doing. If you are contemplating going to this school, DON’T! I transferred here from a community college in San Antonio. My goal is to finish my associates degree in business, I’m having the worse experience here. I have 2 different advisors. One with the VA, who won’t answer any of my calls or emails, and a regular advisor who seems to think all the miscommunication and errors are my fault. The VA advisor signed me up for the wrong degree plan and gave me a list of recommended classes to take, I took one for the first session of this summer and turns out I didn’t need the class for the CORRECT degree plan I should have been under. I have had to make calls every single day to this school to try to get information fixed so money that I am supposed to recieve will come to me. I planned my moving and my family around this while giving myself about a 1.5 month money buffer. They have taken so long that it has almost destroyed my family. I have at this point been begging family for money in order to feed my daughter. I am a gi bill recipient so my expenses are paid for I am just supposed to recieve money back. My teen had an appointment under DR Saba Memon. She practices cookie cutter medicine. I feel like she is following a checklist. She told me what my child is diagnosed with, and she will only start treatment if I jump through hoops, and make more appointments. I left feeling like she does not care at all about my child. I came for help and she refused. She discounts what the parents say and think. She is very dismissive and the other doctors disagreed with her. She did not take what they said into consideration. UT health should do something about her. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she inferred that she has no boss and her word is final. She told me he has ADHD, and I can provide documentation from his PCP and his therapist. I would like to know how to file a formal complaint. This level of care is unacceptable. I was seen at the neurology clinic at the University of Texas Health Science Center when I was considered a candidate for neurosurgery. I had to have a few tests performed before the neuro-surgery to make sure I fit all the criteria and that the brain surgery wouldn't have a catastrophic effect on me. All the neurologists I worked with were excellent, supportive, thorough with the exams and explanations, and very nice to me and my family. Staffs are useless. I do not want to pay a penny to them. They just blame students for every jobs they are mandated to do. They do not work if you do not check. Do not believe them but keep chasing it. All administrative works need to be done by yourself. Do not ask them because they do not know. Rather, ask other students. I really enjoyed the MA program and I learned so much. Something that I really appreciated about the school is that we had ALL the resources we need for certification studying–and all of the professors are extremely knowledgeable about their fields and gave plenty of tips and tricks for how to maximize your potential in the field. The biggest reason I'm sticking to four stars is that I had a pretty bad experience with one of my professors and I don't agree with some of the attendance procedures–having no absences excused unless the school cancels classes isn't reflective of an individual student's situation (I know this first-hand), but all-in-all, it's a nine month program, and the amount you learn and experience completely outweighs the poor aspects.Kendall Eley

I can only speak about my experiences here at Pima but I can honestly say it’s been life changing for me. I’ve completed my Registered Dental assistant program and I’m currently half way through my Radiology program and all I can say is that I’ve had nothing but good instructors in both programs. They really push you towards succeeding and the classes are well developed for you to learn. The prices are a little over the top but seeing how it’s a institute it’s expected. I am currently on the MA program, and it has been a pretty good experience. I am able to have time to study and also work and balance everything else with it. The team of this school is very professional and really care about their students, they are always willing to help you if you need help from them. I really like that they even have tutoring to help you if you struggling in a class. We have delivered two babies at Houston Methodist, and we could not imagine going anywhere else to have a child. The professionalism, expertise, and overall great attitudes demonstrated by the staff here is second to none. Our L&D nurses and techs were all amazing and every single one of them went that extra mile for us to make us feel more at ease and comfortable throughout our time here. They paid attention to the details and treated us like we were part of their family. The NICU nurses showed their dedication and compassion for my son and all of their patients. I never felt worried when I would have to leave my son solely in their care because I knew they had everything under control. Every single doctor my family had shined and really showed their level of dedication they have to their craft. They never spoke down to us or hid anything from us, and they were honest, personable, and compassionate in every interaction we had with them. Even the staff we encountered in the cafeteria, health and nutrition, housekeeping, and administration all treated us we the greatest attitude. You could tell that throughout the hospital the staff had great relationships with their patients, visitors, and with each other. I don’t think you could ask for much more than that from a hospital staff. This place is horrible. Dr. Boom needs to bring in a new staff. The people he has working under him start from the environmental director. The people from H.R. This place loves cover-up things. My Patient Right, we're violated by a Psycho staff member. I called to report it back in August. I was told by the assistant director from environmental service that she will be getting back to me about this issue. It's 9/28/22. I'm still waiting. What really got me? I explained to her what happened; she tells me well, "What do you want me to do about it?" I even emailed her boss; he never replied back. I've called H.R. Many times, left messages . I spoke to the head person of H.R. it was a waste of time as well. This place is sick. I'm sure I will get a reply back after they see this review. This Hospital required me to leave the room at 8:00 pm where my daughter has been in induced labor since last night. They allowed her husband to stay with her but I am sitting in a cold waiting room at 11:00 pm instead of being with my only daughter while she is in labor with her fifth child. I don't want to leave her here as anything could happen with her and the baby. In the room was a nice comfortable recliner and a sofa where I could have rested after driving more than 200 miles to be here with her. I don't call this hospitality or family friendly. Great school. Great teachers. The job placement staff is wonderful. BUT the school is a little misleading because when you earn your certification, you will not yet be qualified for the jobs you really want because you will have to get even more certifications. Not to mention most of the jobs want people with a few years experience to start there. I’ve been attending this school for about 2 months, and I have nothing but good reviews about it. All my teachers so far have been great and patient with their students and it’s been easier to learn the material. He made the admissions process such a breeze to gather through. The program is definitely challenging but so worth it. I'm currently having one of the worst experiences ever! I was completely unaware of being enrolled in online classes once the pandemic started. I never spoke with anyone or confirmed this was ok. I specifically chose on campus classes due my struggle with specific subjects. I was unaware until an instructor contacted me. I emailed advising and was removed from the class I was still charged and a hold was put on my account. I have never talked to or discussed classes with anyone for the fall and i am also scheduled and charged for those classes as well. Now i'm told i have to file an appeal to try to have the balance and the hold removed and i cant remove the fall classes until the balance is cleared. Every time I speak with anyone i'm forwarded to someone or a dept. that cant help or explain!Christi Chavis

While I'd love to give a better review, I have to be honest. If you are utilizing veteran services, prepare for a ridiculous amount of wait time. There's never anyone online via chat and when you call if someone answers, it becomes a series of transference to different people or "I'll have someone contact you." This poses an issue as a current student attempting to be successful in class. I am finding it impossible to get a return address for a delivery I received containing 2 bottles of your CBD oil and 2 packets of the CBD gummy bears which was delivered to me by Hermes. I initially wanted to cancel the order but was informed that I could not. I did not realise the total price of these items and then my shock at finding out I was calling USA as I am in Scotland UK. I am giving this School as a whole 3 stars with the exception of the the higher authority the school is expensive even after you get your student loan you still could owe up to 4000 out of pocket the President is an exceptional person understanding and VERY motivating however we are offered only 2 tickets to the graduation so if your out of town and have support they will not be able to share this moment with you which is who we do it for it sucks having to tell your family they can’t attend this elite moment in your life especially when you have 20,000+ plus debt to pay out to them the instructors there are amazing excluding The head instructor is down talks the rest of the instructors and look down on the students that are taught By then it’s very discouraging to hear that she speaks so bad about the next person when it’s all about empowerment I think her name is Ms Johnson after hearing from one of her student who changed from her class because of the way she spoke on other instructors and their students is was a discouraging moment for me and other students but we had a great instructor and if I could do it all over with her I would Big ups to Ms Blackshirre because the way she teaches is the way I learn she is forever my reason for completing this program because there are plenty of times I wanted to give up and she was not taking that standing ovation to you ma’am… It is very sad that my siblings and nieces and nephews and grandparents aren’t able to share this special moment with me if I had know when I signed up I would have never went to this school I would have gone to an more accredited school and got my associates 😔 Good job staff and PresidentLatisha Lopez

Let's see where to begin. I am a former employee at FCC but they are also called UEI and US colleges. The 1st thing I noticed when working there the amount of unnecessary emails you get from everyone that works for FCC UEI and US college and the corporate office, about over of 100 hundred emails. The 2nd thing is the amount of meeting you have attended almost every two hours. And let's not forget that these meetings are not to motivate you, but rather make you feel small and tell how much of a horrible job you're doing. Beacuse in one hour you were not able to enroll a student. The director of admissions Mrs. MOORE will threaten to send you home without pay, she will threaten to fire you, she will call you lazy and pathetic or good for nothing, just because you can not book an appointment or enroll a student. To FCC it doesn't matter if you are homeless or can not afford school, they will enroll you no matter what. The work environment is very hostile and just not a good environment. They are always hiring on indeed.com but apply with caution ⚠️ 😉 😄, I wouldn't recommend this school to work for or even to go school there as student.Kevin Azizi

As a student I suggest you go to a regular community college get an associates. Then transfer to a University. When I went there seemed like it’d be a great opportunity seeing I’ve been working to get back into school. But the office folks seemed reluctant to actually work with me. The process was not being done in chunks. It did not seem logically scheduled so all and all I give the program 2 stars seems like it can be helpful for maybe some people who wants to just rush back into school but seemed like they wanted me to use my student tuition for the school more than actually help me. Don’t waste your time. Go to a student advisor in lone star or HCC and then work with them from there. They should be able to help you. Or just work to get into a better vocational school. Dr.George was the best instructor ive ever had LET ME TELL YOU! i have never enjoyed school and never made above a B plus but after taking my first module with him i past all my first 3 classes with a perfect score of 100. His teaching style is amazing, he makes you feel like youre not alone, and he loves when u ask questions so if you're like me and hate asking questions he makes it so much easier its awesome. My career service advisor was great! Ms. Alexandria Vela helped me tremendously on my job search. She was one of the people from the campus who have always been very helpful. She has always been very attentive with me and always checked in, during and after my externship, and now that I'm hired she has continued to check in. I would recommend this school for a professional career change. I had a busy work life, working overnight and coming to class straight after work. All the staff, from the teachers, to the administrators, to career services are all helpful, knowledgeable & understanding. They encourage you and help you with whatever needs you have with a smile. I would not recommend this school, thier staffing issues caused several months delay in my admissions and when I called to check on my paperwork it was lost by an employee who was no longer working there. The new admissions lady was rude and when I spoke to Demecas Banks the head of admissions she was supposed to correct the issues caused by her employee but instead made things worse and than refused to admit me based on her personal feelings and bias. I went here to get my medical assistant certificate. It was all I expected and more. Everything from financial aide to the instructors were helpful and i feel like i got what i paid for. Also it was cheaper than other schools (i compared a few). If your interested in getting certified as a MA definitely consider this school. I started attending Texas Heath School about two months ago and my experience has been great since the day I walked in the door. My first day walking into the school I was immediately greeted by the smiling face of Mrs. York. She was very attentive and took the time to answer any questions that I had about the LVN program. If she didn't know the answer she took the time to find someone who did. She made sure that I had all of the resources needed for TEAS testing and even told me who had books on sale. A month later she followed up to see if I still had interest in the program and even allowed me to contact her personally if I had any questions. She was VERY helpful with the process and was always there to answer questions. Up until this day she still checks up on me to see how classes are going and she is very encouraging! Her energy can light up a room and you can tell that she genuinely cares. People like her are hard to come by. I regret I even have to give 1 star. The ONLY good thing about this school was the teacher I had. Ms. Brinkley was wonderful and very good at teaching us everything we needed to know to pass the class. Thank you Ms. Brinkley! As for the administration the tuition double the price as other schools around the area. A joke of private school. Limited supplies for clinicals! COVID vaccines all across the class still didn’t get to do in person clinicals but they sure charged us for it! This school is trash. The instructors are trash and expect you to already know the information. The owners care nothing about the students passing and only about making money. The Director of Nursing is the biggest piece of trash as she has an air of superiority and an inflated ego and most certainly plays favorites. I would highly recommend that you attend a nursing school that also doesnt charge veterans for room, board and transportation when they are in fact not providing those services to any of the students. From the very beginning, the help to complete registration or with any questions I had, they were there. Lanie is a delight to speak to and feels like you are just talking to a friend on the phone. She made sure I had all the information I needed to start and made sure she had all the answers to my questions whether she had them or got me in contact with someone who did. I'm doing my courses online, and the programs have been fairly easy to navigate, any issues I was able to figure them out myself. However, they are all there, if you're unable. Jessica was also great, with reaching out and making sure I was comfortable and if I had any questions. I would more than likely use CHCP for any future schooling, if I decide. The process was easy. Thanks to my amazing admissions adviser Mrs. Arlene Kennerson. She helped me through it all with ease and encouragement, and so much positivity. Any questions I had she answered fully and made sure I understood and took all the time I needed to make sure I was comfortable with my decisions. Then there is my financial rep. Mrs. Stephanie Lopez. She made sure to explain everything to fullest detail. I truly appreciated the patience and understanding she had with all my questions. Both ladies were truly fantastic and have made it so easy for me. I'm excited to start the next chapter moving forward to bigger better things thanks to these two wonderful women. The courses at the School of Automotive Machinists and Technology are second to none. The cirriculum and subject matter won't be found anywhere else. If you decide to attend here you won't regret it. The staff and faculty are always willing to help you if you need it. Best decision of my life to enroll at this school.G S

If you're looking to get into the HVAC trade here forget it. Save yourself from getting into debt for nothing. Whole time i attended here I was spoon fed lies from start to finish. "The class work is 80% hands on 20% bookwork" nope its more like 90% bookwork and 10% hands on. You are also told you'll get paid some 20$ – 24$ hourly when you start working, also a lie, all the jobs I was sent to would give me some variation of "they don't teach you anything worth money at trade school, ill start you at 10$" on top of said jobs being an hour to two hours away from my apartment. Save yourself 20 grand and just go be an apprentice for someone already in the field. You will learn more in a year with them. Oh and the EPA certification? Most employers said "oh cool" and continued to offer 10 – 11$ an hour so that certificate does next to nothing for you. Also all those cool full time full of great benefit jobs that come and want to hire new graduates? Also lies. Called 3 of those companies that came to showcase their job offers after I graduated. Guess what? Nothing. Not even a phone call or email to let me know I wasn't accepted.Gerardo Villarreal

Villarreal I found this funny when I was told about it🤦🏾‍♂️ coming from a person who didn't apply himself while he was in school then want to complain about it 3yrs later shows you still not taking accountability 💁🏾‍♂️ now mind you the Program has gotten a lot better since Mr Nobles took over thank God I was offered $13 as a helper the fact that they offered u $10 speaks volumes😂😂 so take some accountability sir we know what type of student you was I'm currently making over $24 along with 3 of your classmates 🤫 so like Mr Nobles always said you get out what u put in any student that applied themselves in his class are reaping the benefits today so I hope things get better for u my guy. But I do got 1 thing to say he was arrogant to not have 20yrs experience but a hell of an instructor and person he gonna ride for his students I'm proof of that so I'd definitely recommend Fortis North no school is perfect but when you got someone who genuinely cares that makes a difference.Adrian Stevens

Hello, my name is Crystal Talbert, I will be graduated from Fortis Institute. I will be graduating on December 2, 2016 from the Dental Assistant program. My journey was long and hard I work really hard toward my goal as a Dental Assistant. Teachers and the staff were great at helping me with my learning experience here as a student. It was beneficial because I have the confidents in myself to go ahead in life as a dental assistant. I plan to back once I finish my externship to start the Associate Program in Health Care Management. I plan to achieve as much as I can in life. I’ll start by saying in order to gather a full understanding, I would have to start from the beginning. Rion was a great Advisor, she was very understanding, patient and helpful when it came to getting enrolled. My first mod with Ms. Deason was amazing because she treated the class like it was more than just a paycheck. She actually took the time to make sure the materials that were needed were given and made sure you had an understanding if there was ever any confusion. With that being said, if you decide to go for MA and they put you in Mannery’s class. Either switch programs or switch schedules. This lady does not care about anything but getting a check. She is very unprofessional and lacks people skills. I’m not sure how she got the job but I guess they were just hiring that day. She emails you about failing more than motivation. She doesn’t care if the materials needed are available, because her answer to everything is google. So do not waste your time nor money !!! AVOID ! Also, we’re supposed to learn from each other, and as I mentioned, she only 1/2 way demonstrates something one time and then when someone is checking off, recently decides to start covering up what’s going on so you can’t learn anything from the other students.Shannon Guice

I was going to wait until I'm through with half the program to write a review but maybe I'll come back and write another one by then. I am in Module 2 aka Month 2 of the Medical Coding & Billing program and it has been wonderful so far. I believe all certification programs are 9 months. My first Module's instructor, Ms Deason, is a lovely teacher with all the experiences in the field. You will definitely be getting advices and the insight of the job before you move into your core classes. Ms Gibson, my instructor from the second Module on, is also a wonderful teacher. She is very patient and will help you with any questions you have to make sure you don't fall behind if you ever feel like you are. Both of my instructors are extremely understanding and are always willing to communicate with you through your assignments, quizzes, due dates. If you have personal problems that you are going through, they do have a center for that and you are obviously welcome to talk to the staffs as well. Join the program if you're okay with working in a very fast paced environment because they move FASTAnn Nguyen

Firstly, I'm VERY glad that I chose to attend this school. I start in 2 weeks and I have never been more excited about starting school. The staff are all SO welcoming here at the school and it makes me feel comfortable to know that I am in good hands. My amazing admissions advisor Alain has been a tremendous help as well as the other admissions assistant Nikki. They are so warm and welcoming and make me feel apart of the CHCP family already. My amazing financial assistant Jenn has been an angel to me! My program director Ms. Oliver has also been of so much assistance in helping me choose the right program and making sure that I knew everything about my program before starting. Miaya in career services was also such a wonderful help and was able to help me find a position ASAP and for that I am very appreciative. They offer so much help financially and just emotional support, and as a student that has not yet started, I couldn't be more grateful to have chosen the Med Center campus where I feel welcomed and appreciated.Nevaeh Dykes

The staff here must be untrained as they do not even know the basic procedures and policies of their own center. Over 4 months dealing with them for an out patient procedure every staff member gave different information about their own requirements. Because of this the procedure still has not happened. This is unacceptable!!! If there are policies and procedures in place your staff should know what they are and provide clear, consistent, and accurate information to their patients. Period!Felicia M

We had the greatest experience at this surgery center for my husband’s surgery! Everyone was so sweet and welcoming! The waiting room was nice and cozy, they have coffee & tea and offer warm blankets since they have to keep it cold in there to keep the air clean. Everything was so clean and they made us feel right at home. The nurses and everyone else took amazing care of my husband and I. We would highly recommend this surgery center, we loved our time there!Krystal Miller

I needed a procedure done on an outpatient basis. It was recommend to do said procedure at this facility. The staff are very professional, compassionate and attentive. It seemed to me that I was informed as to what was going on before and after the entire process. The facility itself appeared to be very clean and maintained. The only "down-side" ( as in most medical facilities) was the Operating Room, it was pretty cold in there.Phil Andrews

Awesome program. I entered as “an older than average” student having completed a B.S. & a masters degree and this was a very challenging curriculum. Youwill be busy with labs and clinicals to keep you from your books, so time management and finding a group to review is very important for study. I’d recommend the success series books and reviews and rationales books to study. Also, look back at study guides other older classes have developed on Facebook. Know you are in the best nursing schools in town and one of the best, if not the best, in TX. I got a job as soon as I got my nursing license after graduating. You can get a job before that as well, a number of graduates do! Good luck and be ready to hit the ground running. IT IS ALL WORTH IT IN THE END DO SACRIFICE WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED.BearHouston

My daughter has applied 4 times. Passed everything with good scores. She even has hospital experience and doctors references. Still no explanations why she keeps getting denied. She asks and no one ever responds. Coming from a family of nurses. Her mom BSN of 18 yrs, her two cousins graduates from here. She scored better than them. She’s an exemplary employee at her hospital and has numerous doctors reference letters. And still can’t get an answer as to why you don’t get accepted. How are you supposed to know what you need? If you’re missing something? She has everything. Truly unacceptable from such a school that’s supposed to have high accreditations.rodstowing

I am not sure what happened in the case of the denied student who felt it was because of being black they were denied but if anything it may even help your chances. UT is a wonderful school with some of the sweetest and most knowledgeable professors I have ever met. They genuinely care about their students and if you reach out for help they're very quick to respond and help you the best they can. I love my professors and this school ! UTH pride!Nykia Bradley

I am so thankful that I choose this school to my MA degree. All the staff were there to assist with any problem that you had personally or with the school. The Professors as well as other staff members went above their call of duty to help each an every student out. Ms. Holden is the best, so is Ms.Kehl if it wasn't for them going out of there way for me I wouldn't be certified sitting at Oza Family Care and Wellness Center typing this!! Outstandingly experience and well packaged programs, good instructors and all the admin staff are awesome, loving and so helpful. Your success is their pride and they drive joy in seeing you doing great , I can't mention all this lovely instructors cos they are many and I'll highly recommend this school for future student especially for MA and other programs and people who wants to succeed and fulfill.
