Although this is a Nationally Accredited school most Regionally Accredited colleges and university will be able to transfer most of your credits. That is if you are taking a degree program and not a diploma program. After obtaining some super computer skills from Remington College my career path has changed completely. Remington College can give a person the skills necessary to go out and dominate in the workforce over those that simply have a general education background from some American public school. First of all they acusea people of being drug addicts because after having anterior posterior interbody fusion want to ask for pain medication and the nurse accused her of being a drug addict and since you must be going through withdrawal. for those of you that know an anterior posterior interbody fusion is you literally have your abdominal muscles and organs pushed aside while they work on your spine and then you flipped over. But your question when you ask for being medication I wouldn't send my dog to this place from the nurse is right down to the the therapist occupational and physical CNAs and nurses there all rude not sympathetic and empathetic no I wouldn't recommend this place for anybody not even an animal ……… it's been 5 weeks since my surgery I want to clarify one thing my bad experience is not in any way directed towards my dr. .Dr harrod is wonderful had excellent patient bedside manners as well is very friendly and makes you feel like a person not a number . Also has done a fantastic job at trying to correct my spine issues . My issues are with the treatment by the nursing staff as I stated before the treatment I received after post OP was horrible I cried everyday I was in there and will forever have this in my memory . I've had several surgeries and never once have I complained about my patient care till now, I also had 3 family members in the room that witnessed the quality of care I received. First off: Some of the reviews here don’t seem to be related to the hospital referenced on this listing. This is the Spine Hospital at Perkins Rowe, in Baton Rouge. The review is of the hospital and hospital staff, as my surgeon (who was great, Dr. Harrod) is not directly employed by the hospital. I see reviews mentioning New Orleans, and specific surgeons. So, not sure those are relevant reviews. The hospital itself is immaculate. A handsome, clean facility. I had a spinal fusion surgery. Every single person I met made me feel as though I was the only person they were treating that day. They exhibited genuine care and concern for my comfort and well-being. They did things to make me comfortable that I didn’t even notice were sources of discomfort for me. The room I was in was spacious and well-appointed. There was room for me to get up and practice walking a bit after my surgery once I was able to do so. The bottom line: If you are in the Baton Rouge area, and your surgeon has practicing rights at The Spine Hospital of Louisiana in Baton Rouge, request that the procedure be done there. I have been a patient of Neuro Center before they had the Neuro Center & hospital. In the early years, wait times to see the doctor was insane! 1:00 appointment, you’d be lucky to see someone by 3:00. I had back surgery at the new hospital about 10 years ago. The care they provided was awesome. It didn’t seem like a hospital. Very impressed. But, some 12 or so years later, I’m still battling back issues. I had an appointment this week & I’ve never encountered any rude people, but the nurse that came to get me for a test was down right rude. It was like he didn’t want to be there. Maybe he was having a bad day or he just has a nasty disposition. I don’t know. But, in all my years of dealing with Neuro, that’s the only issue I have ever had! This is the most dysfunctional and unorganized medical center I’ve ever dealt with. My son needed his tongue tie fixed and they refused to do it right away until I called and begged them to reschedule earlier. Then they cancelled my rescheduled appointment and made me reschedule it AGAIN to basically the original date. Waiting this long has caused so many issues for me and my son and trying to breastfeed and keep my supply up while we wait for his tie to be fixed. On top of that, the nurse responsible for faxing over paperwork for covid tests and calling me back with information is so disorganized, never calls when she says she will (it’s usually like a day later or I just end up having to call her first) and she never sent in any paperwork to the covid center like she was supposed to. Some on the second floor in the Receptionist area to check in for surgery are rude. They literally talk about you on the phone in front of you! The receptionist I encountered this morning was on her phone going mhmmm….mmmmhmmm in a tone to where I knew she was talking about me and my husband as we didn't have the entire amount of money to put up front…even though they still hadn't billed our insurance..but any way….she just looked at us stupid like it was our problem and just rolled her eyes. Next time, God forbid, we WILL NOT use this facility. I bet if it was her she WOULDN'T have had so much cash up front! The MRI done for my mom was through the BR Radiology Group (whom I've also left this review for) – They've been reported to Medicare in violation of policy by charging beneficiaries (sp. senior age beneficiaries) for claims already paid for by insurance. This is fraud – they sent 3 charges to collections for my elderly mother, which we never received a bill for in the mail in January, and only now has it popped up on her credit report in August – called Medicare, they confirmed it's a violation of their policy – I WILL be following up to make sure they face the music.Catherine Lyrra

The neurosurgeon I consulted with was great and his staff was very accommodating and helpful. The entire rest of the contact I've had to deal with from scheduling, billing, and pain management side is TERRIBLE! The staff is unfriendly, very cold and only cares about getting money instead of handling a patient with issues. This is obviously the most important thing to this facility to charge for services up front for people regardless of any circumstances. I absolutely could have paid for the procedure I was scheduled for up front and handled the refund owed to me later but I ultimately made the choice to pay for services elsewhere with a more reasonable and friendly staff out of principle for the service and treatment by staff I was given on many occasions in speaking to this side of the facility. NO ONE in pain deserves to be treated so coldly, I do not recommend this facility and hope to save anyone from the circus of dealing with the most unfriendly representatives before you even make it to the first consultation for pain management.Stacie Crake

I rescheduled my 2 MRIs from February to May 31 @ 7am a month ago in April. Monday the 23rd the clinic called me to schedule a follow up appointment because I originally didn’t, for good reasons. Without any further contact I make the appointment time for 650 Tuesday May 31st only to be notified at checkin that my appointment was cancelled Friday the 27th without notice because insurance doesn’t recognize my need for MRIs I’ve been getting annually since childhood as a medical necessity. After driving 40 minutes back home at 835 I receive a call from the clinic notifying me that my appointment for May 31st had been canceled but I still have an appointment with the doctor. I have been a patient at the NeuroMedical Center for a while now. Since moving away, I chose to continue driving in four hours for my pain management doctor appointments. I check in online, and it saves time, but I don't believe they really look at that. The nurse came in and asked me some of the same questions when she talked to me ahead of the doctor. After she walked out, I heard her talking about me and our conversation and how I didn't answer a few questions the way she wanted me to. I was too wishy washy, so to speak. I didn't appreciate hearing her talk about me. Then, the doctor came in. I told him how I was feeling. I don't believe he really understood or seemed to care about what I was saying. Absolutely terrible. The racism was so apparently at this college it was sickening. Most of the office staff hated white people and had no fear showing it. They asked me to work for free and then accidently lost my paperwork a couple of times until they brought in someone from Minden. She did the best she could but the deck was stacked. Then 10 months into my program they cut the pay of my instructor so he was forced to quit and they didnt even have a teacher for 6 weeks after that. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE. Most of the time water leaks from the ceilings, granted they put trash cans in the halls to catch it. I took my cat there on 10/25/2021 right off the bat they wanted 1,055.00 dollars not even 24 hours later another 2,000.00 dollars, I knew he had feline leukemia and was at the end of the battle, when he went he was only a little over 4 pounds , They knew he would not make it much longer , I took my cat to 3 different vet clinics in search of a cure or something to prolong his life , he has diarrhea very bad like water , also when I went to the first LSU vet visit with oncology I took all of his medical records, blood test results from 3 vet clinics that was all done with in 1-2 weeks before going to LSU , but yet they ran the same test the previous clinics ran and found nothing different, when I first got to LSU , they wants 1,055.00 dollars, the next day not even 24 hours later they called again wanting to run more test and about 2,000.00 dollars, my cat ended up passing in October 31, 2021. LSU knew he was not going to make it much longer but they would not tell me that , I am not a veterinarian and I k ow he would not have made it much longer, but they did not tell me that because they wanted to run up his medical bills as high as possible. As an LSU student, I was under the false belief that the LSU vet was a good place to bring my dog. First of all, they charge you a lot of money upfront just to get in the door. I had to bring my two month old puppy to the emergency vet as he was sick and throwing up. As a broke college student, I had to contact my family for their assistance in paying. The staff was extremely impatient as I waited for my family to help me pay for the vet visit. When they saw my puppy, paired with the fact I was waiting for my parents to pay, they suggested euthanizing him because he "didn't look good". Once I paid for a parvo test and it came back negative, I was told that it's not definitive and I need to pay hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars more to run a bunch of other tests. It's clear the practice is concerned with only making as much money as possible. We decided on just giving him IV fluid (which they highly suggested against, again to make more money). A few months later, my puppy is healthy, happy, and active; which he wouldn't be had I taken the vet's advice and euthanized him. In short, DO NOT send your pets here!M T

I’ve had many experiences with the vet school and they’ve tended to our epileptic dog in status seizures more than once and done an OK job. The veterinarians are typically professional and kind while the front desk staff is substandard. However, LSU’s entire process, whether for an emergency visit or not, is truly miserable. The icing on the cake though was speaking to the on-call student (?) consult about an overnight emergency situation with our Lab and having her laugh over the phone while insinuating I was overreacting. Having her diminish the situation and having to euthanize him the next morning due to severe pain/poor prognosis from a tumor bursting leaves a pretty bad impression. The euthanasia thankfully was done by his non-emergency vet with tact. Went to Sowela years ago and with four months to graduate I was asked to meet with Mrs. Robinson, Mrs. Pittman and Dr. Orr. Because I had misplaced my second procedure book I expected some type of consequence but was shocked when they told me I would have to repeat the entire course. The procedure book consisted of simple procedures that could be done easily in a months time. Looking back what I can't understand is why it wasn't a simple matter for them to have a list of procedures already done in their computer system and how it could be possible for R.N.s and a guidance counselor not to recognize someone with A.D.H.D. . I suspected I was A.D.D. a few years ago and the diagnosis of A.D.H.D. was made several months ago with genetic testing. I found their agreement among themselves that I should have to repeat an enire course when I had a C average to be cruel and excessive disciplinary action and was and am deeply saddened that as a school Sowela was unwilling or unable to stand up to these individuals.myrtle miller

I graduated there in Criminal Justice in 2002. I tried other areas before ending up in Criminal Justice. Have no complaints with the Criminal Justice department. I tried Commerical Arts and the teachers in that department what can I say without being ugly about that department. They really do need to get there stuff together. When I first started there we had to take a test. If we didn't meet the score for what we wanted to go for we had to take a class to help us meet the score. I was in and out within 15minutes minutes for a injury to my leg. I was not given the necessary information about my injury, got an ace bandage and was simply told "use it or not". I had an open wound which wasn't cleaned. At the end of the visit after receiving a shot for pain I was given crutches and I was walked out dizzy and nearly falling all the way to the door. Alot of the material is covered and very little is left for you to have to read. I appreciate the hard work they have done for me to help better myself, and would recommend their courses to all. So it's been a little while since I wrote my 1st review. So I will give you my perspective now. On my personal experience. I would say it is a great place to get your feet wet in education. It's a great starting point if you're wanting to go to University or just grab some certifications and get some knowledge. I've never seen anyone who wasn't happy to help me. I experienced trouble burning but I don't know what glasses. Staff was gracious and did their best to assist me. Also both of my teachers and IT both had decades of experience in the field. Willwith hold student loan money long after they get their cut for tuition. instructors tell students to violate OSHA protocol for masks and have instructors who don't understand the material they're supposed to teach. just a money grab operation who's credits won't transfer to a real school. also will force you to buy highly marked up scrubs because they have a contract woth a supplier.Chris Turner
