We went on a college tour of New College of Florida. New College is a unique honors college that is part of the State University System of Florida. The tour was very informing about how New College focuses on academics, the arts, and a liberal arts college education. While New College is small, it has growth plans in place. The tour guide advised they have hired 15 new multidiscipline faculty members, with a goal to grow the college from about 800 to 1,200 students. Unique Observations: New College is located on Sarasota Bay, which makes for a beautiful and relaxing place to attend college, have special events, and participate in water sports. New College campus is split between the north and south side by Tamiami Trail, with a pedestrian walkover for students. New College is located very close to the Sarasota- Bradenton International Airport, which makes it very convenient to travel to and from the campus. Located in beautiful Sarasota, Florida, New College is closely connected with the local art, cultural, and outdoor recreation scene. The professors here are amazingly good! They are what's keeping me here. Most of the administration is terrible. When I got here I heard about it a lot from the senior students but I didn't realize how bad it is until I finished my first semester. Mold in your room? Too bad. Need your transcripts sent to another school? Too bad. Accidentally got billed twice for the meal plan? Too bad. Someone from another dorm in another building breaks something? Too bad, everyone gets billed. Want to live off campus? Too bad. So many students leave before they finish their first year and the administration is scratching their heads wondering why. It's a small yet personal school because the faculty are truly FOR the students. Everyone is involved in some way on campus, its not called an honors college for nothing. Everyone here TRIES to succeed. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of resources available to students including a study abroad program. When my family and I moved here in 2017 we immediately placed our child in our local public school. At the time he was in 1st grade and to be perfectly honest we had a pretty bad experience. The public schools are very overcrowded, and our son was getting completely lost in the mix. We were really hoping and praying for a better option for our family. We happened upon Sarasota Christian and scheduled a tour. From the moment we walked into the school, we knew that it was going to be the perfect fit for our family. Every member of the faculty was kind, respectful and so welcoming. The admissions process was so simple, and the affordability was a true blessing. We always prayed our children could receive a great education, especially one where they were able to learn about God, and help nurture their relationship with Christ. The leadership in the school is the best we have ever experienced. Starting at the very top with the administrators who take the time to make sure each and every family is cared for, and the faculty that makes it a point to know you and always make you feel welcome, and of course, the teachers who nurture and care for your children and take a vested interest in each and every one to make sure they bring out the very best in them. You will not find better anywhere around Sarasota. We never dreamed we would find a school with this level of attention to each individual student. Our son has now been there for 2 years and has received straight A's, works hard, has made wonderful friends, and thoroughly enjoys going to school every day. As parents, we are incredibly thankful that we can share in his education by all of the wonderful volunteer efforts the school provides for us as well. We truly love SCS! This is our fifth year as Blazers, and we feel so grateful for this school. The campus is a joyful place to be and teachers and staff love our children and care about them. We have so many stories of teachers that have gone above and beyond for our kids whether they need extra help with homework, advanced work or assistance with an emotional need. These teachers make a difference in our children's lives. The head of school and admin team are true servant leaders and the epitome of Christian education. Our children are celebrated for successes, encouraged to try new sports and supported in their personal and educational needs. My children are all attending this school and we have been involved with the school for over ten years. This place is a refuge and sanctuary for our family in a world that has become progressively more chaotic and uncertain. The teachers genuinely care for their students not just academically but also spiritually. I feel supported as a parent both by the teachers and by fellow parents at the school. The SCS community is definitely one in which you get a sense that we are all in this together and that we are supporting and encouraging each other and spurring each other on to raise and educate our children in a way that best honors God. The experience at IMG for our son has been amazing. The coaching philosophies and process, combined with many years of college and professional experience make this baseball camp a must for any serious athlete/player. Every coach makes a point to connect with each camper which allows for a greater deeper experience. After four years and eight camp sessions, our son continues to learn and become more motivated to work hard and play the game right way as he continues to grow from his camp experiences at IMG. Our ten year old son absolutely LOVED attending IMG’s baseball camp this summer! Two weeks turned into three and he’ll be back again in December! We along with his baseball coach at school and Little League coaches see tremendous growth in his hitting, fielding, pitching, running and stealing bases! He brings the HEAT while on the mound! The coaches are amazing and with their vast experience and passion for the game, they make impactful investments in each athlete’s development! The IMG summer camp is amazing! I had five of my children trained there this summer ranging from ages 9 to 15. The soccer staff was very well-versed in the sport and provided excellent group and individual training. The facilities were super nice and there’s a lot of fun things for the athletes to do. My kids loved playing basketball, volleyball and swimming. The food was also amazing! IMG takes safety very seriously and they clear the campus very quickly if they see lightning. My kids made lots of friends there, developed their skills in a very short time, and made lasting memories. We can’t wait to go back!! Highly recommended!!Sax Guru

My niece of 10, nephew of 18 and a Mom of 84 all want to go back. It was a great day out. I wish I planned more time. So much to see and the grounds were so beautiful I would of loved to had time to walk them and see everything. Its reasonable with or without the student and senior citizens discounts. And they informed us on Monday you can get in free. The staff was friendly and helpful. The buildings were clean. The art was fantastic from ancient to modern… I could have spent a whole day in that one building. And I only had time to go in one of the two buildings to see the Ringling Brothers Circus part… and that took me back to my childhood. Can you see that I enjoyed myself. Lol Visited on

I grew up going to the circus, and loved it. We'd previously been there for a fabulous wedding reception. We got a limited look at some of the museum, but most was blocked off. We were visiting friends again and returned with them. The circus part was first, and brought back lots of memories. We spent a good hour there, before crossing to the artwork. All was quite enjoyable. It's still a little surprising to see a portion of what the family was able to accumulate over the years. The grounds were just as worthy, especially the banyan trees. Absolutely beautiful place we visited it in the middle of December. Natural setting with beautiful art galleries and mansion which looks like piece of Europe. There are art gallery, botanical garden and the circus museum in one place. For extra cost you can see the first floor of Ringling’s mansion which I found very interesting. If you're considering exhibiting here, skip it. There's no notice to pick up art after an exhibition–no phone calls, no e-mails, nothing. I called to ask because we had received no notice, and they told us ASAP in the middle of the work week. I said I would get down before the week's end. I made time the next day to drive out of town, and can you believe we were charged $5 to pick up artwork that we already paid to submit? They made no mention of a late charge over the phone and when we had no pick up time, either. I bet they spent less on the ribbon for the award.Daniel Dupuy

As a local artist, I love this art center! The staff has changed from top to bottom since the beginning of the pandemic and I know that they are going through some adjustments. It has always been a great place to enter and display art and share with the local community! Exhibits are always fun and they have had consistently high level jurors. Good quality art from the local community. As a matter of fact I'm going there in a few minutes. They have frequent shows and are free to the public. What they need more than anything is a generous Patron to provide a brand new building that's designed to show the art a little bit better. This park is great for exercise! But, the East side near the highway has no trees and is in full sun. The West side is better and I will typically ride my bike up and down the paved trails on that side. It also has a nice crushed shell trail through the pine trees. However the last time I jogged through there, a few days ago, the smell of the pine trees was obliterated by the stench of dog feces. It might be a good idea to supply poop bags and/or put up a couple signs that people walking their dogs should clean up after them.Karen Hill

Great venue for rowing competitions! Parking can be tricky during events but once you’re here it’s lovely. Bringing a bike looks like a lot of fun. There’s a large, covered jungle-gym for young children, a few food trucks, vendors for events & ample restroom facilities. Bring sunscreen & a hat! 👍Susan C

Very nice place to take a 3.5 mile walk around the water and end up walking a few flights of stairs when you're done. Great place to just get away and listen to some music while getting your steps in. Quite a few birds and ducks to keep you entertained as well.John Forminio

We have been members here for years and we love it! There is always something going on it's so fun for the kids and the entire family! They have so many activities for the kids as far as arts and crafts and water events in the summer! The tea House was lovely when they had it! The gift shop and the botanical shop has an excellent selection. Over the years we have seen so many different art exhibits. It's nice to see familiar faces volunteering when they check you in! The food is delicious, from Michael's on east! They really take such amazing care of the grounds and we always see something new! When we first started visiting about 8 years ago there was no kids treehouse and what they did with that space is unbelievable! I think I have taken thousands of pictures over the years. If you just move to the area and have small children the membership is so worth it because you can go there every weekend and bring your kids and their friends and they just run around and have so much fun it's the best money we've ever spent! I know we will share so many new memories and I'm so looking forward to their expansion! Holidays are always fun there! Christmas is just an amazing time to go with all the Christmas lights and activities that they have there! 4th of July has always been a fun time to be there with so many things that they offer and even mother's Day brunch is super special and beautiful!Taylor T

Wow! This is an absolute must visit for anyone in the area who wants to see beautiful flowers, be in closer contact with nature in a scenic environment, or just have a great time outdoors. There is more to see than I ever thought; photos and its own fame don't do this place justice. You don't need to know anything about plants; the place is so pretty, anyone can enjoy it. That said, there is plenty of information (species' names, etc.) around the gardens to learn from. My wife and I spent 4 hours here on Memorial Day 2022 and we had such a fun stroll, discovering nature and taking tons of pictures along the way. Even though it was a hot day, you could feel the gulf breeze and there was enough shade covering multiple parts of the trails as well as plenty of benches and interesting little spots for a rest stop. The Marie Selby Botanical Gardens is one of the best attractions in Florida. I have annual membership and as it's right downtown with its own free parking, it's so easy to stop in there for just an hour or two without having to feel like you need to spend a whole day there. The exhibits are excellently maintained and they vary year round so there's plenty of new things to see and not feel like it's an attraction to just see once and check it off your list. If you like taking photos you will love this place. There is a nice Cafe inside the Selby House and the quality of food and the prices are very reasonable. Soup and sandwich cost under $10. At certain times throughout the year they hold events. If you visit Sarasota, this place is a must-visit.TheDradge

It amazes me how quickly a poorly trained food staff can ruin a night at the theater! We saw The Amazing 70’s show last Friday night and it was excellent! We ordered food and although it was small portions for a large price, it was presented well and delivered promptly by a pleasant server. We payed for our meal including a healthy tip, signed the credit card ticket, and were moved to better seats immediately over the stage. During the second half of the performance we were interrupted three times with demands to pay our bill a second time. We called off the attack by presenting our copy of the receipt. After the show I sought out the server to return a ten dollar bill she had dropped and suggest to her that she wait until after the show was over to deal with such issues. My effort was met with argument. My conversation with the food manager gave me little satisfaction. She informed me that her staff was trained not to interrupt the performance! We purchased our 4 tickets online to reserve our spot. The location was within walking distance from my hotel. Our server Danny was wonderful. He was able to bring our cocktails without interrupting the show. Many people were eating entrée and dessert. I was not aware of the menu, but I did arrive minutes before the show started. My friend was a judge, and I was part of the show. It was such a blast. Ms. Jasmine was my character, and I loved every minute on the stage. The show was amazing, fun, and unpredictable. Went here Friday night with some friends for “FST Improv: To Die For”. We were lucky enough to get seats right by the stage and it was fun to see the action right in front of you. The cast and show were funny and they had audience participation to make it more engaging. For dinner, I had the meatloaf (“Ma! Wonderful space and great curation is best to describe the Sarasota Art Museum. The exhibits are primarily contemporary art. Have a docent walk you through – the education and stories are worth the extra time. Stop in at their cafe for lunch, which is open to the public and doesn't require admission to the museum – its a great place to eat in a lovely modern setting. The brick building has been revitalized from its original purpose – the old Sarasota high School and converted to light open spaces. The original pine flooring has been refinished and used on the walls and on the floors….a great juxtaposition to the level 5 drywall, sky lights and modern art. What a breathtaking place, I got the chance to view an art display the day after it went on. I have been to many museums but what made this one so special was the people who works or volunteer there. Everyone was soo helpful in giving informations if I needed it, greeting you with the most pleasant smile, and just all around very friendly. I would make the three hour drive in a heartbeat. It was a very beautiful remodel. They even left a couple of things as they were. The art exhibition was nice. (I am not into modern art). But I did like all of the except one. No words can explain how much my family and I enjoyed this place. The walk is beautiful to look at. Feeding Flamingos was AWESOME. Super gentle when feeding we loved it. Wishing some of the enclosures were larger for the animals but for the most part they all looked pretty healthy and comfortable. The bird show was great. We had the opportunity to do an interaction with the black and white lemurs and let me tell you it is worth every penny! My family was so thrilled that they had personal time with a lemur and learn more about these amazing creatures. Things I didn't know. We were so in awe of everything else we forgot to check out the reptiles. Their front office air conditioning was not working so it got pretty hot inside and out yet their restrooms and area were clean. We hope to come again and enjoy the feed the Flamingos again. 😁 Oh and Emma our lemur handler was very sweet. Knowledgeable about her baby girl Wendy. They both made the experience so worth it. We came today for the first time. We spent about 4 hours here including time eating our picnic lunch in the car. Pros: We had alot of fun feeding the flamingos and exploring the animal exhibits. We watched the bird show and thought it was great! Fortune, Andy and Roxanne were our favorite birds and we really liked holding the albino alligator too! All the staff were very nice and you could tell they enjoyed working with the animals. Cons: We thought the check in process could be smoother. We purchased tickets online in advance so we got to skip the main line. But otherwise it was a long line. So definitely buy online if you can! Also, there were no staff members by the flamingo pond to assist costumers with how to feed the flamingos. People kept throwing food on the ground and then the birds wouldn't eat from your hand. The hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the park were all empty too. So be prepared with your own. All in all a great little place. We enjoyed our day. Thank you!Emily's world

Wonderful! I have been to many animal parks and this one was delightful. It is small enough to walk around and not terribly crowded. The highlight was feeding and holding a lemur. You can also feed the flamingos. There are a few shows included in the very reasonable price and they were fun and also not too crowded. I would highly recommend going for a visit. You can see everything including shows in about 3 hours. There is an extra fee for a private lemur visit but it is worth every penny. Visited on

I went to this school years ago for a short time. I wasn’t from Sarasota and because I was chubby and from North Port, teachers and staff would allow students to throw dog food at me and my friends. Push us into lockers. Call us names. I had the female guidance counselor go through my private text messages and photos. I was 14/15 and the counselor was going through underage explicit content on students phones and admitted to it to them, and myself, but wouldn’t bring it to the parents attention. Instead she would question who the people you’re taking to are and to tell her what was going on privately. When my friends in north port passed away, they forced me not to talk about it, but expected us march to the funeral of students who has passed due to underage drunk driving who had crashed their vehicle at 3 am. They would bash North port and the multiple deaths they also had, an told all of us, the kids in north port who died weren’t important during morning line up. This school was mean. The band director was disturbing. Gave no help. Picked favorites, and got way too deep into their students lives and social media/cell phones. I still have ptsd from going to this school.Ashley NV

My 5 star opinion, is based strictly as a substitute teacher. I taught as a long term substitute for 8 weeks and then worked as a sub in random classes. As a substitute, I was made to feel very comfortable at SMA by the faculty and administrators. I felt appreciated. Anything I needed or any questions I had, someone was there to help. The biggest complaints I heard from students were the dress code regulations. My only complaint has nothing to do with the school but with parents. Parents, Not Teachers, are responsible for how much rest your child gets. They come to school with a few hours of sleep and don't want to do learn. Parents, Not Teachers, are responsible for your children being taught to respect authority figures. When your child talks back rudely to a teacher and they are sent to ISS dont complain about the teacher. Teach Your Child RESPECT. If you as a parent respect the regulations and support the school, your children will too. Teachers can do a much better job if they don't have to do your job. I recommend SMA but only do so if stricter regulations don't bother you or your child. It's a great school!Maria Eberle

I graduated class of 2014 and through the time I went there it started to decline. When they added the IB program is when it really went down hill. My sister graduated last year and it seemed as if the IB students were the only ones that mattered. If you were just a student not in the IB track you didn't matter regardless of if you were in regular classes, honors, AP, or duel enrollment. I still know people that attend the school and many are glad to be getting out, and even several who just left and went somewhere else because they felt as if they didn't matter. When I went all the staff and faculty treated the students at individuals and invested time into helping them. The teachers worked with the students to help them improve and would spend extra time if needed. Many of the teachers and staff that were there when I was do not appear to be there any more. I am very sad to have to give this rating and review, but with all the issues that are coming up and what I have seen my friends going through I only thought it was fair to let people know. I hope that one day the school can get back to its former glory.Meulin Cat

I just graduated from the Surgical Technology program at this school with the instructor Ms.Daise, she was excellent!! There is sooo much to learn in such a short period of time and she was very thorough and prepared us very well for our clinical rotation. She was our sole instructor this time around. I guess in the past they normally have a seperate instructor for clinicals. We did not this time, And I would not of had it any other way. Having Ms.Daise as our instructor made our clincial rotation so much better, everyone at the location of our clinicals couldnt say anything but great things about our class and our instructor. I guess they have had issues with the other "instructor" at the school that we did not. This program was great! The hospital literally wants to hire every single one of us, thats how great this experience has been for all of us! Ms.Daise is the best!! She is the heart and soul of this program, she really cares and loves to teach and it is apparent. She also has the standards for Surgical technology down pat, And doesnt teach short cuts. SHE IS THE REAL DEAL!! I would give her ten stars if I could, and I would give 2 stars to the Health science Office staff… Too many "politics" going on in the office and they care more about their " status quo" then making sure the students have what they need to succeed. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to get into this field!Amy Parraguez

Program: Computer Systems & Information Technology (CSIT) Instructor: Rob Saul Instructor is world class, he often utilized a Socratic style of teaching which was unique compared to just about every other teacher I've ever had. The program exposes you to various technology but the main components are centered around the CompTIA certifications, namely A+, Net+, Sec+. I'd imagine the core learning material is still largely self-paced as you progress towards each certification exam. I was dual enrolled 9-10 years ago but I doubt much has changed aside from the actual certification material being updated every few years These certs are all great for getting into various entry level IT positions..you're probably looking at roles like help desk/desktop support/support technician/isp tech/etc. These certs won't make you a sys admin or network admin, but they certainly lead to those type of career trajectories. Final thoughts: Adults – I'd personally just recommend picking up an A+, Net+, Sec+ CompTIA bundle and going to town. There I just probably saved you a ton of money. You'd gain the same knowledge and can sit for the same certs the program prepares you for, but in a MUCH quicker time frame really. High School Dual enrollers – 100% sign up for this if seriously interested in computers/networking/security/IT in general. You'll be so ahead of your peers its borderline OP.James Whipple

I went to their information session for surgical technician , and just from simply calling and going there I did not like the experience . I do not recommend going there if you want to be a SURGICAL TECHNICIAN. They want you to pay around 500$ before even getting accepted and it’s non refundable, a tour is not included in the session and I saw a review on here that a surgical technician said there was a 20% passing rate I asked the lady and she pretended like she knew nothing about , she just said they had a really bad dropout rate because students “couldn’t handle it” and that’s why they’re making people who to get in a program take a 4 hour long test. As well as a 2 hour long test . I have never written a bad google review but I really hope nobody wastes their money on this program and not even to know if you’re getting accepted . The only good side of this school is that it’s in a nice area and the interior is very clean and nice . Unless you want to share majority of the college with high school students I don’t recommend you going here.Elianna Corona

I can't say enough positive things about my daughter's experience with the Ripcurl lacrosse organization! Everyone has been so welcoming and patient, especially with my daughter being new to the sport! All the information from times of practice, where practice is, game schedules, times, what fields they will be playing on, as well as coaches information and back rounds have all been communicated clearly. What's really FANTASTIC is that the coaches rotate all the children when playing tournaments. The new players to lacrosse get equal time on the field as do the experienced players! This has really helped to instill good sportsmanship and teamwork! Honestly, the Ripcurl organization has offered a very positive environment for youth girls & boys. They are open to teaching new players the game and the skills needed, as well as growing and developing the skills of the children who already have experience!Jake Frank

As an unskilled golfer looking to improve my game, I sought out the help from a golf instructor. I reviewed various instructors and decided to go with Brad Myers. Brad is very professional, knowledgeable, and patient. During our first session he asked me about my goals and what I wanted to get out of my lessons and were my weaknesses were personally with my golf game. Another thing I noticed with Brad is he wants to get to know me as a person. My goals we discussed were to make better contact with the ball, break one hundred for a score and eventually get my score into the eighties. Brad is knowledgeable and explains the lesson in manner that does not make it complicated to grasp the concept, because hitting the ball at times is complicated enough. One rewarding aspect of the lesson is I see improvement during the lesson and build confidence in my ability. Brad always gives me one or two suggestions to work on at the driving range or on the course until our next lesson. The lessons I have had with Brad so far have helped me on the goals I had set. For one I am hitting the ball better and if not, I have a better grasp what happened, and the most exciting result is I finally broke one hundred on the golf course. I would recommend Brad to anyone looking for a great instructor and is committed to being a better golfer. Well in my 60’s and after 12 years of absence from the game, I decided to start playing golf again. My driver shots were going everywhere but on the fairway and my iron shots were weak and inconsistent. I had no idea why and was unable to make the proper adjustments. I searched for a golf professional in my area and read good reviews about Brad. I called him and I am extremely happy that I did. Brad helped me with my swing and I now know why I miss a stroke and, most importantly, how to correct my posture and my swing. We spent a whole lesson on the short game. It has already made a big difference in my score. Brad has helped me become a much more confident golfer, not only by teaching me the proper mechanics powering the golf swing, but also by showing me how to practice at the driving range for best results. Now when I ask myself “why did I miss this shot”, I can answer my own question. Brad listened to my concerns and addressed them clearly, always making sure that his instructions were appropriate for my age, my strength, and my body shape. He worked with ME and I feel that with dedication and practice, I will soon play the best rounds that I can play. If you are looking for an exceptional golf instructor, look no further. Brad Is the guy you need whether you’re a beginner to advanced, young or older. His pleasant demeanor and deep knowledge of golf swing mechanics are what I believe to be his greatest strengths and make him such a popular coach to so many. It would be nice if everyone could have a picture perfect swing like Rory Mcllroy, but the reality is everyone has different capabilities and limitations. Brad has a knack for quickly identifying and correcting any “killer issues” and getting you on track to solid and consistent ball striking within your ability. I personally am a student at this preparatory school. I am in grade 8 and the teachers are wonderful. The only issue or concern that I have been subjected to is the tuition and other required payments to attend the school. Not only this, but you also have to take a difficult test in order to go here. In the end, on one student, you have to pay a total of probably 30,000. Furthermore, the students are very spoiled and can never be told “no”. We joined Music Compound back in the Summer of '17. I must say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. My son Michael absolutely loves it!! One of the things we love the most is the personal connection we feel with the owner, Jenny, and all her staff. They all do a fabulous job on making each and every member feel welcome….like family really. The instructors are very patient and encouraging with all the students and they make sure everyone has fun while learning at the same time. Each month they have a themed concert where students have a chance to perform. They also do Monday night Jam Sessions for the kids. Both are great opportunities to build self confidence and interact with others that have the same interests. My son has performed many times and loves it. I love it that he wants to learn how to play everything! He knew he wanted to play keyboards/piano and sing but he also became interested in the guitar and violin. Having a teacher that teaches multiple instruments is wonderful. It gave my son a chance to try all three to find out what he really wanted to concentrate on. He ultimately decided to focus on the keyboard/piano and voice lessons. He has since became a part of the Music Compound Rock Band as the keyboardist as well as a part of Music Compounds Choir. They have performed at many venues and he's really enjoying it. I would highly recommend Music Compound to anyone who has interest in taking lessons. Words cannot express how wonderful Music Compound has been for our teenage son. We relocated to Florida a little over a year ago, and I was looking for something to get Caleb involved in to make the move from Louisiana a little smoother. I stumbled upon Music Compound on Facebook and wrote the owner, Jenny, who immediately wrote me back. I signed up Caleb for summer camp and the fun began! I had no idea that signing my son up for Music Compound Summer Camp would be such a life changing experience, but it was!! At MC, Caleb was able to meet new friends, learn how to sing and perform on stage, and learn how to play the drums and guitar as he worked with talented children and instructors. I really enjoyed my time with the Music Compound. Aaron was without a doubt the best instructor I have ever had. He had just the right balance of a challenging lesson that could be mastered by the next lesson. He was excellent in assessing where I was at in my musical journey and were I needed to focus. The rest of the Music Compound was great and took personal interest in helping me pursue my musical interests. They provided lots of opportunities to play and perform. We had my daughter's birthday party at Art & Soul Dance Company and we were more than satisfied. Alana along with her staff went above and beyond to make my daughter's birthday party a success. It was nice for my husband and I to just relax and enjoy the party. The staff handled all the setting up before, they entertained the kids the whole time and, cleaned up everything. My daughter and her friends had a great time. The girls even had a dance performance at the end of the party to show all the parents. I highly recommend the studio for your next birthday party plans. This dance studio is the best! Coming from a different state and adjusting to Florida was very hard. Art and Soul welcomed my daughter and I with open arms. They have the best attitudes. They are all so loving and caring. My daughter gets so excited to go to dance class every Saturday morning. She loves Ms. Sarah and is always so excited to see her. Ms. Alana is amazing. She is very respectful and understanding. I feel like she treat the dancers as if they are her own. She works very hard to make everyone feel comfortable and welcomed. We love the Dance Conservatory of Sarasota! My 3 year old daughter’s first-ever dance class of her life was here, and she enjoyed it so much, telling me “Mommy, that was so fun!!!” afterwards. The studio is brand new, super clean, & beautiful! Ms. Lori does a wonderful job teaching her – she is so kind, patient, & sweet. I appreciate her great communication with me, it’s always friendly and prompt. I think the format & flow of her ballet/jazz/tap combo class for little ones is perfect. It’s just the right amount of structure and technique, with plenty of variety so my daughter doesn’t lose interest, and gets to try each of the different styles. We also love that she incorporates a hula hoop & a ballerina teddy bear into her class to make it extra fun! Highly recommended!Summer Prager

We have been extremely pleased with theCoderSchool and helping our son learning coding. He is 7 years old and began with the beginner class with no prior coding knowledge (but a love for video games!). We thought it could benefit him to learn the "how" the games are made and he was so excited to start the class. We love that after his class he can still access the scratch platform and show us what he created in class and explain how or what parts of code he used to create certain parts of a game. He is in a class that guides him step by step and imagine the possibilities as he gets older and learns more. The staff is always welcoming and warm and he so looks forward to his class weekly! This place is amazing! My son has finally found something he loves to do. I personally do not know the first thing about coding, but everyone who works there is super knowledgeable and inclusive regardless of age or ability. They have camps every vacation which we book as soon as available – we haven't done a different camp since discovering the Coder School. Pete and Allison who run it couldn't be sweeter or more enthusiastic. It really is a welcoming and happy place and if you have a kid who has an interest in coding or even just gaming, this place is like a Mecca for them. Our son has been attending classes both virtually and in person for almost two years. He has increased his knowledge of computer coding in multiple languages. I love the positive and nurturing environment at this school. They make it fun and interactive. They also have easy to follow progress reports after each session.
