20 Best Summer Programs In Reno, NV (2022 Updated)

(For reference, I am a first-generation college student, have a learning disability, and a physical disability.) TMCC sets students up for success. I have had a very positive experience both as a student and working for the school. I will be finishing a dual-degree sooner than expected. Most of the professors are great, and everyone in the humanities department is amazing. Most of the staff is very professional and able to well-inform students of what classes to take and what services may benefit them. On top of this, the school also offers free tutoring and mental health services. As a first-generation college student, I feel TMCC has helped me at every step of the way to succeed. With only 8 classes left to take, I still have a cumulative GPA of 4.0 despite doing relatively poorly in high school. As long as you put in your best effort, teachers will do everything possible to help you succeed. If you do not put any effort in and expect a handout, then it will be extremely difficult to succeed. If you attend this school make sure to take advantage of any and all resources as well as putting in your own effort… you will not regret it. I recommend TMCC to anyone and everyone.Rove Plant Eater

This is a tremendous school with a caring and compassionate staff and faculty. This school has afforded me so many opportunities that I wouldn't have otherwise received without them. When I got to Reno, I was homeless. I arrived with two suitcases and less than $100 in the bank. I was staying with a friend and making very little money. I found myself in a situation where I worked hard labor job after hard labor job, trapped in a vicious cycle of injury and poverty and no clear view of how to exit my situation. In the month of December 2014, I walked into the offices at TMCC. In less than a year, I have found employment, I'm less than a year from finishing my degree and I am a Dean's list student. I had it in my head that I wanted to succeed and I was fortunate that this school wanted to help me to do exactly that. The teachers were compassionate and patient. The staff was courteous and helpful. I owe a great deal to this school because it has taught me more than academics. It taught me to be a better person.Brandon Canty

Don't listen to the bad reviews, everybody has a different experience and different perceptions. Ive taken at least 20+ classes over 12 years, I love tmcc. It's a good community college in every way. I attended here on and off from 1999-2012. I learned how to teach step aerobics from the greatest fitness instructor imo Verna Lewis. I took many general ed classes as well as a few paralegal courses and a ton of fitness classes as well. The campus is beautiful, many bathrooms with free sanitary napkins if needed, the vending machines are reasonably priced. The classes are very fair priced. It's a wonderful school and a WAY better option then a vocational school. eg: Realtor school online vocational school $600+, Tmcc Realtor program $50-100.Rachela Reno Rocks

The exhibition with art and historical elements was interesting. The American historical painting was good. Others were underwhelming in my personal opinion. Many looked like a random art experiment without a purpose or conclusion, at least they were not mentioned. The cafeteria downstairs serves a decent selection of food and drinks, while diners can enjoy live music. The architecture of the building is neat. It's a small museum, but the curated installations are very thoughtful and well done. The docents scattered throughout are very helpful and engaging. The guy who was working in the small Cafe was HILARIOUS. Matter of fact, everyone there was super friendly. Small gift shop showcasing local artists' crafts, like jewelry. Came in on their 90th anniversary with free admission. On the smaller side of the museums I've been to, took about 2 hours to tour. Open spaces and attractive presentations. Was surprised to see the clay pieces by Picasso and the historic landscapes of Nevada. Visited on

We just got home from the Museum and we truly enjoyed the "Survival of the slowest". I brought my 2 grandbabies ages 15 months and 27 months along with my 14 y/o granddaughter. We enjoyed seeing the live animals and not only getting to watch the large tortoises get fed but was given food to toss in and feed them. This is a great place to bring the kids, the water feature is always a hit! I would like to suggest that since toddlers do go in everyroom that you invest in plug covers for all of your outlets and either tape the cords down or get them covered up and away from the youngins. It is not safe. Also there wasn't anyone monitoring the art room and the painting window could have used cleaning. Find something that toddlers can draw with better and is safe for them. My boys are 9, 12, 14 and they loved it! They had a fun science experience all the kids we enthralled and engaged having so much! It was super busy because of fall break. There new exhibit is amazing you get to see them feed a turtle at 1pm and a sloth at 4pm! Not sure if its the same everyday! I've been taking my kids here since they opened and every time there is something fun and exciting going on! I absolutely love the mind bender mansion! Its so fun trying to figure out the puzzles! The staff are so fun to talk to and they keep the kids excited about learning and they are always smiling and just so sweet! Visited on

One of our favorite places lately. They have tons of great things for kids and adults to play. We have the year membership which is extremely affordable and worth it. We have also done a birthday party here and it was a great time. They have a nice party room with pretty much a kitchen inside and offer party convenient kits for the plates and cups and other stuff to help you out. After several years of talking about going to see Buttcracker and missing opportunities because tickets and shows sell out fast we finally had the pleasure of joining Bruka Theater for Buttcracker 7: Osmosis – YAY!! For December 2016, Buttcracker 7 performance was a mashup of Wizard of Oz meets hillbillies for lack of better and let the side splitting laughter take over from start to finish lol. Purchasing tickets like the other reviewers shared was easy-peasy but be sure to not hesitate like we have in the past or you will miss out on a unique take on a classic holiday favorite, that will have you laughing hysterically and enjoying every moment of this wonderful theater troupe. Side note: I must share with you that I have gone to traditional Nutcracker ballet performances since I was a little girl and my husband & I continue with the tradition by trying to go every other year while enjoying the Reno Philharmonic – just a little bit of our history with the Nutcracker story. Continuing – we have been interested in changing things up a bit so had an idea of what was in store for us and this spin with hillbillies meets Wizard of Oz was wildly entertaining and kept us in stitches. We are sooo glad we spent the evening with Bruka Theater – it was a HOOT! THE costumes, makeup, set design, choreography and the storyline was everything we hoped it would be and then some. I've been to two shows here. There was a person in the audience at each performance who insisted on verbally inserting herself into the performer's lines in a way that eas incredibly disturbing and disrespectful to the performers and the audience. What's worse, she seems to know the management, and they tolerate her obnoxious behavior (even though I spoke with the proprietor after it happened the first time and she seemed on the surface to understand my upset). After the second time, I won't be going back to a theater that makes it so clear that it's only concerned about a few annoying insiders.Dan Villarreal

There's a neon sign in the shape of the Burning Man logo inside of the window.. Wonder what it means?? I attended a performance of The Dresser there last winter. The performance was excellent, the seating was comfortable couches arranged in a stadium seating arrangement, and the audience was friendly and social. Staff is always super friendly and helpful. Great bows for kids, especially if they want to try and learn. However, my BIGGEST suggestion, as a business owner – they need to revamp their rentals. I'm in the market for a bow, but they only rent SUPER cheap bows for adults. Literally, the arrow barely makes it 20 years and you have to hold a lot higher than the target. Now, as a business, I'm sure you'd love to sell some bows! When I asked if I could rent a nicer one (which could have convinced me to buy it) – they said no. I could maybe shoot one once or twice, but that's it. Their is a reason why snow board shops, gun stores, heck even bowling alley's let you rent nicer gear (even at a higher cost) – because they may be able to sell you on it. The staff member stated, "Well, its because if it breaks, it could cost $2k to fix, so we rent out $50 bows" – didn't make since because barely any of the bows cost over $2k. Next time I"ll rent one for my daughter and just watch.Raymond williams

A group of us celebrating a bachelor party decided last minute to give this place a try. And it was a blast. The best part about this place was the staff. We are this group of young men just wasting arrows having a blast. And they embraced our silliness at the same time making sure we were being safe. The proof that shows this business wants there customers to have a good time was there willingness to give us additional targets. We had a 1 hour lane rental and 20 min into our time, 5 other people joined. We had to sit and wait for them to suit up so it was clear to shoot. At 45min into our session we were told we had one more round. I asked for more time due to the other parties interrupting our time. They pointed us to talk to management who wasn't there. My kids LOVE Skiing is Believing! I love it because they learn new skills. They’ve learned lacrosse with certified instructors, they’ve had mountain biking lessons with a pro, they’ve learned rugby with the UNR rugby team, they’ve learned to snowboard with Mt. Rose instructors, they’ve learned new skills skiing with certified coaches, and they’ve learned rock climbing, but the best part is that they love all of these activities because Meghan and her team make it fun! My kids are excited to participate and look forward to Meghan’s activities. I also love that Skiing is Believing teaches the kids to give back to the community. Skiing is Believing has truly enriched my kids’ lives and we are forever grateful for all of Meghan’s time organizing and executing such amazing camps. Great company with a ton to offer. I joined Meghan and her team for a fundraiser and had the best time. Very professional team with really interesting camps happening throughout the year. If you're looking for a trustworthy camp to send your kids to in the Reno/Sparks area, this is it. WAY WAY more than only skiing! Skiing is Believing offers so many options for fun, exposure to sport and skill building. The community volunteer experience is what really makes these camps stellar and unique. Meghan and her team are very professional and experienced working with children of all ages and skill level. I trust Meghan totally and I am confident she will take excellent care to detail. It's a bouldering gym and that is cool if that's what you're really into. I'm personally not a fan of the walls here because they're made of wood and they're super slick. I rely a lot on sticking my feet directly on the wall, as well as on the holds, and I felt like the wall was not usable for me. This gym is also not that big so if you can't climb higher grades then you run out of options super fast. And I don't know if there is a regular parking lot, but I had to park on the street and it's all metered, which is fine but you have to remember your change. (Although they might take cards too?) With that being said, it's still a nice environment. There's a slack line, a mini weight room, and a few top ropes and sport climbs (outside). It can be fun for a visit but I wouldn't make it my regular gym. It's not my personal cup of teaCharity David

Staff are friendly, the walls and mat are clean, there's filtered water on site, a gym attached to the climbing gym, it's easy to get to by parking in the ElDorado garage, the tall walls outside are auto-belayed and sometimes closed for weather. The tallest walls cost extra and are on belay. The indoor walls change every month or so, or roughly one area a week.Robert Clifford

My daughter has been dancing at FR dance for over 3 years. She has grown so much in her skill level and character with their support. My son also takes several classes and there are many other boys in his classes. Both of them also participate in FR’s great theater program with original productions that inspire young people to read. In addition to recitals there are also other competitive and performance opportunities for dancers that are committed to growing their talents. The studio has outstanding teachers, a wide variety of class offering, as well as friendly & welcoming student families. My daughter recently participated in the Princess Dance Camp and it was a wonderful experience. She looked forward to going each day and came home with so much joy on her face. The program was very well done, thoughtful, organized and so much fun! We also attend dance class at this studio and this too has been a very enjoyable experience. Her teacher is energetic, kind and creative. The studio is extremely inclusive and promotes dance for all. Everyone is friendly and helpful. There is a lot of happiness inside this dance studio! This is a really great studio. Our little dancer is 3 years old and loves her teacher Miss Yevette. The classes are fun and full of activity to keep a little one entertained. Very fun place. She even got to dance on stage for her very first recital! Our other daughter is 7 and most recently attended the Circus Camp this summer. She had a blast! Circus stuff, aerial silks and parkour tumbling all in one camp. They did a performance at the end of the week and I was amazed at what she learned!Nate Lovelady

North Peak is THE community climbing gym. It isn't the newest or shiniest place, and that is what makes it perfect. The environment is as chill as it gets, and the staff are some of the friendliest people I've met. Anyone there is willing to help with any questions you might have. It's the kind of place where you can go to climb for an hour, but stay for longer because there are good people and awesome conversations. The gym may be small but it changes frequently enough to keep things fresh and interesting. There are lots of unique routes and problems set up for quite a few different climbing styles. Slab too, of course! This place is a solid 5 stars. The only thing I could think of that it could use that would knock it to a 6 star rating would be Hangboards. I love that the gym has tons of other equipment to use outside of climbing, but It'd really shine if we could get some of those puppies in there. The place is a bit small realistically for some types of training (like a moonboard) but Hangboard might be totally doable.Doglegs

Here's the thing, this is not the biggest, tallest climbing gym with the fanciest facilities, but it is very much a contribution to the climbing community in Reno and as a whole. The atmosphere of this place is awesome and the setting is perfectly good (though I probably haven't climbed here enough to have an adequate analysis). The staff are welcoming and just all-around awesome so I highly recommend giving this place a visit for an enjoyable and chill experience.Daniel Chafetz

Ernest is an experienced, knowledgeable, thorough, patient and encouraging teacher! I received wayy more value than the $20 for 2 hrs of climbing foundation basics! The other staff I met were helpful, courteous, and equally encouraging. I’m 59, and just starting. Definitely friendly for all ages and experience levels! Speaking from the student perspective, Sage Ridge is a wonderful school. I am in my final year here, and I will be sad to go. I started at this school in 5th grade, and have eagerly returned each year. One thing that stands out especially about Sage Ridge is the phenomenal teachers. In every grade, for every subject, there is incredible knowledge and support from the faculty. The teachers truly know every student individually in order to easily connect with them and help them in any way that they can. It is this network of support that allows all Sage Ridge students to challenge themselves. The teachers make the students want to learn more. Sage Ridge students are inquisitive and curious about the world around them and the faculty earnestly answer their every inquiry. The bond between students and teachers at Sage Ridge is completely unique, and definitely something to take advantage of. A Sage Ridge education goes beyond academics. This school will help all children to pursue any interests they may have. In my years here, I have played multiple sports, acted in many plays, competed in both theater and Latin on State and National levels, debated with a passion, developed a love for community service projects and much, much, more. Sage Ridge will help their students achieve anything they can possibly set their minds to. Outside of the classroom Sage Ridge also offers many unique programs, such as Mini Sessions and Outdoor Education. Mini Sessions is a two week course of fun classes that allow teachers to teach their students anything they'd like. These classes range from cake decorating to conservation trips in Hawaii. Outdoor Ed is yet another incredible opportunity that Sage Ridge offers. Early on in the school year, all teachers and grade levels embark on week long trips. Outdoor Ed is enjoyed by all, and each grade level trip is looked forward to greatly. Outdoor Ed has taken me everywhere, from backpacking in Yosemite to bouldering in Northern California to kayaking in Tamales Bay. All of these amazing programs help to build the wonderful sense of community that all Sage Ridge Scorpions feel. The student body is also very unique here. Every student lives under the governance of our honor code and our five pillars: Respect, Integrity, Community, Courage, and Scholarship. The students aren't cliquey and friendships often span across grade levels because of our small size. The students are all kind and supportive, and incredibly trustworthy. Sage Ridge students take the Honor Code very seriously, and because of that there is a strong sense of trust within the community. Hardly any students lock their lockers, and phones, laptops, and wallets are frequently left unattended. Not once in my 8 years here has anything serious been stolen. Anywhere else, that would not hold true, but Sage Ridge defies normality. I would strongly recommend Sage Ridge to anyone who asked, as it has both shaped me as a person and completely prepared me for my next steps in life. Mesa Rim is a fantastic climbing gym. They have 55' walls, a whole bunch-o bouldering, a sauna, yoga, free-weights, cardio machines, and the space is just beautiful. During the day, the place is basically empty, no waiting for routes at all. The staff is soooo friendly, and the establishment is run like clockwork. Price is reasonable (except for day-passes, and shoe rentals).Joe Fitzpatrick

Some might call it a second home to many. One of my favorite gyms in the country. I have been climbing for 15 years and competed most of my life so I’ve seen a lot of them. I can’t put into words what this place means to my kids! It is truly their home away from home! If you want your child to be in an environment where they are loved, cared for, inspired, motivated and safe this is that place! Originally I brought my oldest daughter here to stay active, get some exercise and as a parent hoping maybe she would find something she would enjoy. But this is what they gave us: My daughter has learned to take responsibility for her actions. She has been taught to be a team player. She has learned that her teams depends on her, to finish what she starts, that even on days she is lazy or exhausted that her teams needs her and to keep pushing! Most importantly When she doesn’t believe in herself or when she doesn’t think it is possible to do something with hard work, support from passionate coaches she can do anything she sets her mind to. I’ve seen a desire in her that I have never witnessed before. A desire to get better for herself, her team and her coach! I see a fire in her that I know wouldn’t exist without this place. She is more motivated, passionate and responsible since coming here! She feels safe, loved, cared for and most of all determined. Thank you Five Star Athletics for not just giving my kid something to do in her spare time but for teaching her life lessons that she will carry on with her forever. We just did a Ninja Birthday party at Five Star Athletics yesterday (Jan. 16, 2022) for my son’s 6th. It was (hands down) 100% worth it and you should absolutely do your kids birthday party there if you are considering them. (FYI – I have NO affiliation with the company and none of my kids even participate in any of their programs… yet). Snapshot – I got there 15 mins early to do some quick decorations and set out food/drinks (maybe could have used a little more time but that is THE ONLY criticism I can make). Kids arrived, they waited til almost everyone was there to start – so find out if anyone will be late. They had 2 warrior courses set up, an obstacle course bounce house and about 4 other activities they did with the kids (ages 3.5-6). I was so impressed by how organized they were and how no parents had to be involved; everyone got to watch and enjoy their kid getting tons of energy out! They even organized all the kids to take a group birthday picture with the birthday boy – this was priceless! They did activities for about 75 mins, then had every kid wash their hands before they got to go upstairs for pizza and cupcakes. Upstairs was a little chaotic but it was to be expected as we had about 20 kids. If you’re on the fence about doing a party there just do it – you will not be disappointed. My 10 year old daughter has been competing with Five Star for 7 years now. What started out as something to do turned into a love for the sport and a cheer family that we turn to more than anyone else. My daughter has accomplished so much not only in her physical skills, but her morals and presence. She is very shy in real life, but cheer pulls out this amazing big personality that shines on the floor. She has learned commitment and to put others before herself with the gym's "We Before Me" motto. She is struggling with a pulled muscle and was in tears yesterday because the owner stopped her private lesson for her safety and my daughter feels she is letting her teams down if she doesn't tumble in practice. The staff is fantastic and will do anything to help you. They know the kids by name and we are talking about hundreds in the programs. The staff works hard for the kids and their competitive track record shows it. With COVID-19 it is a little crazy like everywhere else, but they follow the rules and do everything they can to stay on top of current guidelines, ensure compliance and safety. They definitely deserve 5 stars. When you join this gym, you are joining a huge family that welcomes both kids and parents with open arms. I'm very proud to be a cheer mom with this group!Julie Rich

Fun friendly gymnastics center. Mostly filled with kids under 10, but some older groups practice here as well. One of the best deals in town. Class sizes seem large to me, they are definitely busy and some classes have "coaches assistants" helping out. Parking is a bit crazy on practice nights as they don't have enough spaces for all the parents. Coaches are great, and come out to talk with parents after each practice.Jonathan

Flips is an awesome gymnastics studio. My daughter learned so much, so fast when she was three years old at Flips. Because they are so wonderful I will ask their Tumblebus to come to Five Hearts Preschool near Elizabeth Lenz, South Hills, Saddlehorn, Arrowcreek in South Reno. Five Hearts Preschool is small enough to have the Tumblebus from Flips come out and treat the preschoolers to a half hour of gymnastics!Sandi Steenberg

My daughter with Down syndrome attends gymnastics class with her physical therapist every Thursday morning here. They do so well with my daughter. She has had so much progress with her walking and motor skills. I have loved coming here. Such a great way for my daughter and I to start our day out. The ONLY place for my family. I do not agree with any of these people are who are leaving unjust comments. I think they are unfair and untrue and I think people should think twice before they print words that can ruin reputations and businesses. Though I never write reviews, I feel it is important to do so here. I have had three children at the Goddard School in the past FIVE years! After trying two other centers in the Sparks area, my oldest daughter (now nearly eight) began attending Goddard when she was three years of age. We are now one of the most "senior" families there and therefore I believe I have credibility in my feedback. The owners are extremely caring and kind, they are at the school all time to ensure quality and consistency. I cannot tell you how many days I would drive by the school after hours, say 8 pm, and their car would still be there. They are dedicated and they concerned about families, that’s for sure. They greet everyone at the door every day, and make a point to know everyone personally. The teachers have changed a few times over the years as have one of the directors, not Nikki, the Operation Director ( been there since they opened). Face it people-teaching and caring for young children is not always a life career for many people, but I have always found the vast majority of them to be friendly, loving and energetic. I have always been impressed with the curriculum that my children have been exposed to from a very early age, and to say there is no structure or teaching simply is not true. If anything, Goddard attempts to teach and expose the children to things that are actually beyond the curriculum standards for Washoe Schools. Most important for me, however, has always been that my very young children were loved and cared for. I have never had any doubts! These teachers come to work every day to do a very difficult job, and they LOVE the children! My kids have always gotten hugs and personalized attention, and I get funny, personal stories every day. My three children have always loved school and adored their teachers and I have never had any doubts about that. Now what else could a parent ask for?Jamie McDaniel

What an amazing preschool!!!! I really never thought I would be saying something like that because our daughter had a nanny for over two years and before her nanny we had a horrible experience with a daycare. My daughter is in Miss Melisa's and Miss Mona's classroom (2.5 yr olds) and she is loving it! Both Melisa and Mona are wonderful. They are great with the kids and they have really helped make our transition to preschool easy and a positive experience. Not only are the teachers great but the owners and directors are as well. On my daughter's first day there, I was a wreck (crying) and Miss Mona made sure to call me at nap time and tell me how well my daughter was doing. Shauna (education director) even emailed me an update of what the kids were doing and sent me a picture of my daughter. It's little things like that that set this preschool apart. The curriculum is great as well. I receive daily reports that include everything my daughter has participated in, everything she ate, and a memorable moment. These sheets help me feel like I was there with her during the day. The school teaches the kids the fundamentals, while making things fun. They even teach yoga, spanish and sign language. This is by far the best preschool in the area!Erin Jones

My son has attended Goddard in Sparks since he was 1 ½ and has now been there for nearly 3 years. Needless to say I have been pleased with the program, the teachers, the kids, and the development my son has made over the period. I have reviewed many programs in Reno/Sparks and continue comparing but, what I have found in my travels is that Goddard is ultra clean, safe, warm hearted, friendly environment for my son to grow and learn/discover something new about the world around him. He has blossomed socially and loves his teachers. The curriculum is vast ranging from introduction to Spanish, to experiencing productive peer interaction, to experimenting with smart boards and instruction to keep him engaged. My wife and I take our decisions on our child’s education very seriously and through Goddard have grown in confidence on the value of a sound early educational program. The front office staff always has time to address my questions and they seem to enjoy where they work. To date we have no regrets in placing him in the very capable hands of his extended Goddard family. I would highly recommend the school!Jeffrey Matthews

You will never find a more supportive, amazing, genuine group of women to workout with anywhere! If you’re in need of a tribe, please join us, there’s absolutely room for you! Midtown is the smallest of the three locations but makes a great use of the space. It also has smaller class sizes if you’re worried about social distancing as well as excellent parking first thing in the morning, pull right up and come on in! Kaia has such fun, supportive coaches and all kinds of classes and class times. All of the classes are excellent, well planned and they have modifications for literally any shape you find yourself in. We’ve got Barre, Cross training, TRX, yoga and LIFT (which is my favorite) and they even have a run club a few times a week at certain locations! So many fun special events and options for everyone to feel included. So glad I found Kaia, what an intense joy it is to know and be known!Melody Holland

I’ve always been into fitness, but have had a hard time finding the right workouts/nutrition for me. I joined Kaia FIT about 5 years ago and discovered a one-stop-shop for cross training, weightlifting, barre, yoga and TRX, along with nutrition, with one on one attention from coaches each class, helping to ensure form to prevent injury, modifications for existing injury and encouragement to reach optimal results. Each class you are encouraged to push your limits. I struggle to call it a gym, because Kaia is more than just fitness; Kaia is a community of women that support and encourage one another to not only reach their fitness goals, but strive to success in life beyond the walls of the studios! I feel it’s enriched me in ways far beyond the length of any gym. I cannot sing Kaia praises enough to ever do it justice! Updated 5/30/22 – The new midtown location is so big and nice! Even though it's in a basement, it's bright and airy and there is still plenty of room for all the classes. I'm excited to workout there this summer! it should be way cooler in the space than the other studios. Kaia FIT is an amazing women's group fitness gym. They have a wide variety classes and all of the coaches are amazing. They provide excellent demos and modifications and let you choose your hard! The midtown location is smaller so classes stay intimate and you get lots of one on one time with the coaches. Parking for evening and weekend classes can be tough, plan ahead! But the actual space is absolutely gorgeous and the coaches are all top notch! This is my go to location and I wouldn't have it any other way!Mary Smith

I would give 0 star if I could. I wanted to put my child's name on the waitlist back in March 2022, they gave me a form, and I filled it out, and at that time I did not know that I was enrolling him actually ( they told me later on that the form was for enrollment not the waitlist. I clearly stated that I wanted to put him in the waitlist otherwise why I was still checking out other daycares?!!). They asked for 2 weeks of tuition and the registration fee, which was fine to me because I thought, ok if I decide to enroll him here, they want to make sure that I can pay at least the first two weeks. I checked my credit card a week later and saw it was deducted. I went for a second time Tour ( I checked out all the daycares in Reno a couple of times). In March, it was still snowy and cold in Reno, and I saw that the window was open, and a baby girl literally was sleeping below the window. I was shocked and asked the person who was giving me a tour why the window was open while we were still wearing a jacket, it was very cold outside, and she didn't have anything to say! I decided to withdraw my son from the waitlist two wees after the time I put his name on the list. They said they were not going to refund my money. I did not mind paying the registration fee. It was the first week of April when I wanted to withdraw, and my son was supposed to start on September 1st. They had enough time to put someone else on my son's spot right? But still, they did not refund me. I went there a couple of times called them five times and Dennise, the manager, never called me back. The last time that I called on June 21st, Dennise told me to stop harassing my employees 😀 I was like what harassing? I am just politely asking for my money, and you keep the money for a service you have not provided! and she said give me your credit card info and we will refund it. It is funny that they only refunded $360 instead of $650. I am tired of calling them back. It is stilling and I refer them to Karma. They will pay it back somehow.Shiva Pourgholaminejad

I am lucky enough to be employed at this school, so my opinion may be a tad biased, but my two year old daughter attends. I can’t speak higher about Goddard. Not only are all the teachers here qualified and dedicated to their profession, they make learning fun, while providing the children in their care with the love and attention they need to thrive. Since my daughter has started here, my husband and I have noticed a huge difference in her language skills and ability to follow directions. To top it off, her teachers have almost completely potty trained her. She is excited to come to school everyday and that makes us both so, so happy. Every single teacher here is amazing and every director/administrative staff goes above and beyond (for both parents and staff). Every parent wants the best for their child and Goddard is it!Sto Bot

I've worked here for a little over a year now and have grown so much not only with the school but as a teacher, which I didn't really know I needed to be until I got this job. Since I started, I was trained by the previous teacher in the infant room and was quickly challenged by becoming the assistant teacher to the now lead teacher in that room. I was nervous at first with all the new responsibilities I was given, but I was so grateful that Denise and the Directors trusted me to teach and care for their youngest students. I love getting to spend my days with the babies, watching them reach new milestones and building relationships with each of them as well as their parents. I take pride in ensuring the parents their babies have a clean and safe environment where they can express themselves freely and have the room to grow!Shannon Aguillon

Such a fun and interactive escape room! Even though we arent from the area, we can't wait until the next time we are in the area to come back for their new and upcoming escape room! Stepping into the game room was like stepping onto a movie set. Me and the kiddos I came here with (ages 5 to 15) were impressed! Our game was set on a most life like ship, complete with sounds of the sea and rolling "fog". Puzzles were fun and provided the right amount of challenge for us all. Booking online was easy. About an 8 minute drive from circus, circus hotel area. In a plaza with plenty of parking. Staff/game master were friendly and helpful with hints when asked. My family and I had the best time! It was our first escape room and it was amazing. How often do you play on a pirate ship, to an original score of music on a foggy night…indoors lol!? We unfortunately didn’t solve it but our host was so kind to chat with us at the end and show us what else we would have needed to do. It was dramatic, not scary, and worked for all ages of our party (10yrs-47yrs old). We have already told our friends it’s a must do next time they are in the Reno area. Highly recommend!Wendy H

This was a very fun experience for anyone looking for a challenge. We’ve done several escape rooms and found this a great challenge. And although we just brought our six year old along for the ride, he ended up finding a crucial clue. Goes to show anyone, young or old, tall or short, can contribute in a valuable way! So much fun! Shay (sorry if that's misspelled) was absolutely wonderful! I called this place for the first time (was calling bike shops around Reno) this morning, and she was nice & informative. I was able to bring my kid's bikes in same day, and have them assembled & looked over same day! She was kind & helpful during drop off & processing the payment at pick up. Not one, but two of the male employees had no acknowledgement to myself & a relative when we walked in, didn't say hi, nothing, no degree of customer service. Shay, and their prices were absolutely great! Will return in the future for any necessary business, but I highly & kindly suggest reminding the rest of your employees what Customer Service is. =)Katy Bernstein

Yesterday, (Sunday 8/28/22) Jonathan and I stopped by to get my old Burning Man bike ready for Jonathan to enjoy on the Playa this year. Immediately we were welcomed by the amazing Kurstin (I have not been at the 4th St. location in years, as the horses now take up all my leisure time) and then, we were immediately escorted to the bike shop by the Super Star Shay who efficiently and professionally got the bike in ready and safe condition for Jonathan. Shay provided OUTSTANDING customer service. The Reno Bike Project shop is fantastic, with great products, fabulous energy, professional/friendly service and great pricing. Highly recommend this place, especially if ur on a budget. Since I prefer to work on my own bikes, they have all the tools I need, and proper work stations. Good bicycle tools are expensive to buy, and they have everything I've needed so far. You only pay for your time on the work stand…use of the tools are free! Prices for new parts is very reasonable, and if u can find the part you need used, you'll save ALOT of $$ compared to if u took your bike to a "regular" bike shop. Playing at NNJ has been one of the best experiences in my life. This program is very well organized, the coaches are great, the facility is awesome, and there’s so much more to love. The camps are great too! I was so sad to have seen my last club season cut short by COVID but I am so grateful for my time here. I’m excited to get back in the gym before I head off to college and I’m glad NNJ is able to provide me some court time. I definitely recommend this volleyball club for anyone in the Reno area or even from elsewhere!Kaley Settle

We are so excited for our daughter to be part of Northern Nevada Juniors. She is starting the skills clinic and she could not be more excited! We live in rural Nevada but after speaking with coaches and staff we knew that going to Reno would be worth it! Both my daughters have been attending NNJ for the past four years. I must say that the coaching and professionalism are top-notch. Owners are always willing to listen. I have had a great experience as a parent of two young women doing volleyball at this club. In addition both of my girls have had fun and progressed to very good volleyball players as they got into high school. Best club in town!Jennifer Jennifer
