I've had a wonderful experience here, and I've been to 2 other universities. The faculty & professors all actually care about you as an individual. Your life outside of class and your goals matter to them. Class size is small! I've never been in one bigger than about 13. You'll start to recognize faces, and it's easy to make friends & find friendly mentors. There are so many helpful outlets to apply for scholarships and other aid. Tutoring is free and convenient hours for it. Also, very helpful transfer experts who assist you in going to ASU, if that's a goal of yours. My only complaint is that sometimes a class doesn't fill up enough, while it's taking enrollment, so then they have to cancel the class if not enough interest. But I would definitely recommend coming here — I'd say it's the ideal community college.McKenzie Wilkins

South Mountain has the greatest and most diverse students and it is a joy to teach them. I always look forward to the start of the semester when my classroom fills with great gifts, ready to learn. Its seems as though the entire community is represented, young, old, every color, faith, culture, awesome vets. I teach CIS105, Survey of Computer Information Systems, and have never used a textbook, nor do my students have to purchase any software.. As a futurist, I enjoy preparing my students for their future. My students end their semester with me with a professional portfolio of their work from throughout the semester which is their own to keep.Laurita Moore

As a student and student worker this college exceeds every expectation I could have ever had for Community College and my first Community College. Advisors are Hands-On and want you to succeed. They will work with you and all types of ways to see succeed and do well. And they look into all possible resources to help you through your college experience in any way possible. They also have free counseling services, tutoring, disability resources, scholarships and grants, student life and so much more it's amazing. Paradise Valley Community college is more than just a college because it is truly a community with people who truly care about your success! The teachers, staff, and students all make you feel welcome. The campus is also beautiful to talk a walk around both indoors and outdoors. Buying/renting textbooks and any needed items physically and digitally is a pretty smooth transition! One of the best interactions I had at PVCC was when I was inquiring about enrolling at PVCC in Fall 2020 for the spring semester 2021 as a new student, the supervisor in the PVCC Admissions/Recruitment office for new students (I cannot remember his name… Alex/Josh maybe? He's the main supervisor for new students for PVCC) was SO kind over the phone! He literally talked to me for 30-45 minutes explaining deadlines for FAFSA, placement test advice, payment plans, what scholarships I should apply for, broke down how FAFSA exactly works depending on how many classes you take, and even connected with me about him being a former actor then how he transitioned to getting an educational degree when he went back to school before landing his job with helping college students which was so neat to hear as I'm a Theatre Major so he was not only able to provide some insight as a former artist but he eased my anxious feelings about not knowing everything I needed to do in order to apply because he was very personable and didn't get annoyed at me when I was asking basic questions about enrollment. He was the FIRST college person to break everything down and give me an order of what was important so I could be as successful as possible. I didn't get that type of kind and thoughtful explaining about college when I was in high school applying to colleges. I had talked to other colleges and universities where conversations were off-putting unfortunately they would just say everything you needed to do as a new student within 30 seconds and then get frustrated if you don't understand or needed clarification. I highly recommend PVCC if you're looking to do your Associates Degree, Associate to transfer to a Bachelor's at university, or even to take some classes just for fun because you just want to learn THE THING you've always wanted to do but are scared, do it at PVCC (for me it was dance classes, I finally did my first two dance classes EVER at PVCC and I loved it!).Rebeca Anvik

PVCC not only has a beautiful campus, but also offers a wide variety of programs. Student life events are another great advantage of this college. PVCC actively offers opportunities for students to get involved, and provides support for students to succeed in their academic goals. I have been so impressed with the faculty and how attentive they are to students concerns and needs. The school also does a fantastic job of engaging and empowering students! I have made so many friends through my participation in student clubs and organizations. I’m graduating from the nursing program this semester, and I am so thankful for the education and experiences I have been provided. The Nursing professors are outstanding! They are supportive, encouraging, uplifting, professional, and hold their students to a high level of learning and comprehension. I do my running on the track, it's not the most modern up-to-date facility when it comes to their sports courts, it could use some upgrades, but it's free and it's a very nice setting and backs up to the golf course, and it's better than running on the concrete streets. Not sure how the community college itself is it looks real nice I'm sure it's beautiful I just use the sports facilities outdoors.Thomas Uhlenberg

As someone who isn’t from the USA and relocated from United Kingdom , it was important that I made the correct choice when it came to education in the United States , after doing my research and reaching out to different schools who have a massage program I chose gateway because from the first contact with Mr Tapscott he was super friendly , passionate and helpful , he made sure I had all the information I needed and he directed me to the right place to complete my registration to the program . The price is amazing and they definitely can charge way more for the service they provide , gateway and especially Mr Tapscott made the process so easy and comfortable . My first day of class was so welcoming and they went the extra mile to make sure I/ we students were comfortable , I had the best experience at gateway and this experience was due to my fellow classmates but mostly for the teachers attitude and pride in teaching , Mr Tapscott , ms bouer, and mr Ybarra were amazing , they are so good at what they do and the effort and dedication they put in to each and every student sets them apart from any other education opportunity I’ve taken , we created a family and this includes the teachers , they allowed us to learn at our own pace and didn’t disrespect us , they encouraged us , the material in the program was inspiring and the method of teaching made the learning fun , it was a pleasure to go to gateway for the 9 months of the program and I looked forward to seeing my teachers and classmates everyday throughout the course , the program allows for Externship which gives us the opportunity to work with others in the community also work with employers of massage therapy , it gives you an insight to what to expect after the program . This in my option gives you the experience and confidence to be successful in your future , I love Mr Tapscott and is in my opinion an amazing teacher , a kind , honest , trustworthy person who has pride in his work , he has a pride for everything he does or talks about , I couldn’t of asked for a better college to attend and I am blessed to be apart of the experience and to see people who are passionate about what they do to improve peoples lives . I recently graduated from the Massage Therapy Program at Gateway. Mr. Tapscott and his team were the most supportive, inspirational, knowledgeable and humorous group of instructors I have ever studied under. Mr. Tapscott taught the online portion of the course that was heavily weighted in anatomy, physiology and introduction to massage therapy. Mr. Tapscott was always offering assistance to students and following up on financial aid, GI Bill funding, finding places to do externships, or assisting with any other issues the students may have faced. The lab portions of the class were taught by Mr. Ybarra and Ms. Bauer, both experienced massage therapists, both dedicated to successful outcomes for all the students. Mr. Ybarra is known for his demonstrations on various massage and stretching techniques during labs. All three instructors shared a great many stories of their experiences in the massage industry. This team of teachers worked very well together and created an environment where the students felt proud to be part of the class and continuously improved in their massage skills through out the course. Each teacher has a great sense of humor, will be direct if there are issues to address but they are always respectful and professional. The program was also the start of many long lasting friendships and a successful future in the massage industry for myself. I highly recommend the Gateway Massage Therapy Program for anyone that has a desire to improve peoples lives.Kathleen Dimitruck

DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL!!! I have been attending this school for a while. When I had enrolled I wasn’t given proper information. I do online school and I’ve been struggling with math and biology and to my surprise the instructors do not put the effort in to help other students online. I went in to speak to an advisor and low and behold she didn’t help either. I have a learning disability and stated that information to the advisor and the best answer she gave me was “unfortunately we don’t have special services for students who have disabilities” I’m in the process of getting my associates degree in DMS and no advisors informed me before I started the program that I needed to take an HESI Exam. Another thing is for students who do the online classes, students have to their webcams on to take the tests/quizzes but don’t require it during other class time such as completing assignments. IM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS SCHOOL!!! THERE IS NO HELP WHAT SO EVER AND DONT HELP STUDENTS SUCCEED!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! And because I struggle in math, I’ve tried free Tutoring and they only available for an hour and if you need more time you need to make a new appointment. An hour gets 3 questions done and they still don’t walk you through the process.Monica Balderrama

Signing up was easy, I was provided help at every step in order to insure my success when I completed my diploma, I felt confident enough to move forward with a degree. Once I completed my diploma and as I have been working on my degree I have had the best career advisor. Even though life got busy with work, school and home issues and sometimes I did not respond, my career counselor Marianne Cooper never gave up on me. I attended Brookline College online in the Medical Office Administration program. From the beginning at admission, to the instructors and career services it has been a great experience. Everyone was always willing to assist you with whatever is needed and very responsive to all communication. I have a mobility scooter because I can't walk very well anymore. This scooter is electric and I don't go very far on it as it has a limited range. The park I go to some times is far (in a wheelchair). I cut through the north campus parking lot 100's of yards from any building to save some battery. I felt dejected today when I was accosted by one of the campus police telling me to leave as is a closed campus. It did not feel like it was for my safety as much as him exerting his authority. I was just cutting the corner of the campus away from anyone. Edit: This happened around noonish on the same day I posted. Edit2:Not fair to the school so Just the Officer gets a one star for that day. The school itself is pretty awesome.D. O.

I decided to take 2 classes this semester, both in person classes. One started in September and the other in October. My September class is amazing! I love the teacher and the curriculum. My October class was switched to online only days before it was supposed to start- I paid and signed up for an in person class specifically, and was not notified by anyone that it had been moved to online, leaving me with one day to find another class, or bite the bullet and do an online class. Very unhappy with the communication of the school.carly

They are a horror story. 2018 I applied for being a personal trainer. They put me in a weird stack of classes including world religion and other classes. They said I can't change no matter a student advisor's mistake. When I dropped classes they claimed I owed them almost $400 for their mistake and out a freeze on my FAFSA.Scandy Italian Ice

I absolutely love the RT program here, the instructors are probably the best I have ever had. They have super high standards, but they also help you reach those high standards. The school is a bit pricey, but you get helpful instructors, with real experience, and who are ready to assist you whenever you need it. Plus, the hands on experience in class is a huge benefit. The only two downsides is not the program itself, but the food and beverage options in the school “cafe”, and the uniforms. For the price of the program, the uniforms are very stiff, and definitely nothing close to decent quality. So, if your enrolling, make sure to put some $$ aside to buy comfortable scrubs that actually fit you. As for the cafe, it would be great to have a real coffee machine (not instant coffee), so we don’t have the need to go off campus for caffeine. Overall though, I love my program, the instructors, and the new career PIMA is helping me prepare for. I definitely would recommend PIMA to anyone who wants to actually start a new medical career!Christina Romero

This school is easy to get started at. I was admitted to the RT program immediately after taking some brief tests and completing a mock study schedule. It is not a cheap option, but the wait list for cheaper schools is two years long…so I decided to get my schooling done rather than wait. I hope that the high price of education here all goes to the instructors, because they are the only worthwhile part of attending here. The admissions staff will make whatever promises they need to make to get you signed up, even if it is something they can’t deliver. The facility and equipment is old. The programs are fast paced and will leave you behind unless you are serious about learning the material.Derek Aaron

Choosing Pima Medical Institute and their Respiratory Therapy program was one of the best decisions my family and I have made. The program was very thorough and straightforward in the teachings. The thing I enjoyed the most was the constant engagement you were able to have with the instructors. Everyone is very open and willing to help in any situation whether it was school related or just life in general. The PD is amazing and she will do everything in her power to make sure you are not only a successful graduate but you are a successful RRT for many years to come. This medical assistant program was everything I wanted out of a school and my education. Growing up in Hawai’i and the culture there it has become an instinct to seek out anything that feels like a community. I graduated at the beginning of February of this year and after completing 11 weeks of externship here is what I have learned: Any other MAs I work with are extraordinary at their jobs; personable, professional, HIPAA compliant, OSHA compliant, etc. They are wonderful MAs all in their own way but what I feel is profoundly different from them, their education, and the one I have gotten is knowing my scope of practice. It’s become apparent that many MAs like to be directed on what to do and when to do it for their patients, and that’s amazing, however, it is well within our scope of practice to ask questions, to advocate on our patients behalf, and to educate our patients on, not only their rights, but their medical care. My coworkers often ask me WHY I am always going to the providers and asking if a certain treatment will benefit our patient.. well, because I was given the confidence and the knowledge to know that, while I may not suggest or recommend any treatment to a patient, I CAN ask a provider if something different will help our patient. Sometimes they tell me no and every time they have it has been another opportunity to learn. In the often times they do take my inquiries under consideration, more often than not, I find that the treatment/patient care has benefited our patient 1. Because it makes them feel and let’s them know we are all in with them. 2. They are the ones who are actually in control when we’re in a room together. And 3. They just need to be reminded that simple fixes don’t always exist and it’s okay to ask/research what may work for them. It is because of The Allen School that I am not the kind of medical assistant who applies my medical knowledge to my patient.. instead, I apply every patient, their symptoms, their history, and their experiences, to my medical knowledge and build from there. Being in the medical field (especially working in womens health) is what I was born to do. Allen School and my instructors fueled my passion more everyday. I can only hope to represent them to the best of my ability and to continue being the medical assistant I would wish for every single one of my loved ones to have. Allen school is not easy, no one should attend expecting to float through the program without being challenged.. this program cultivates wonderful and highly sought after MAs for a reason. What I will say is, the education you choose could make a difference in how you care for someone’s loved one, you have to ask yourself.. do you want the best education or not? Would you want the MA you have caring for you to be as educated and prepared as they possibly can be? Allen School isn’t perfect.. but you will leave there knowledgeable, you will leave there prepared for your externship, and you will leave knowing you can return to a community that will be there for you. I would like to add that Tara Evans, the externship advisor/coordinator is an absolute god-send. She, too, was born for her position and her passion for Human Resources and matching an MA to the specialty they feel their heart is called to is unmatched. And Dr. Hunt, both an instructor and the director of the school, absolutely will call on you to show up, everyday, as the best version of yourself and.. she will always require that you can defend your knowledge. If you are not sure if this school is a good fit for you, you can tour the campus and ask the student advisor any/all questions you may have. You can come by and meet instructors and see the students in their class-setting. I have only been here for two months but my experience has been very well. The faculty has a very good depth of knowledge in their own area of practice and have a clear understanding of the Medical Assistant role. The Doctor Directing the entire program teaches some of the more challenging classes and shares real life scenarios while presenting the material to help give a better understanding that will help us grasp the subject. Each instructor is always open to answer questions in or outside the classroom. What I also like is that tutoring is available everyday after school. The school has a recognition program, where certain students are recognized for certain achievements in front of their peers every 5 weeks. The Allen school of health sciences has by far been the best choice i have made in my life. Going into the school I was nervous and excited to open the door to my career, however there was nothing to be nervous about. All the instructors and staff treat you as if you are one of their own and are willing to help you no matter what. Whether it be personal life and you need someone to talk to or if you need help academically, they are always there. My classmates have become my family and there is nothing I would change about my experience. When I found Pima, I was still trying to finish high school. A friend told me that Pima could help me with that. So I decided to schedule the appointment and meet with admissions. Walking through the front door of Pima, you're greeted by the most friendly people with such welcoming smiles. Everyday, I walk through the doors to go to class and I always get a "Hi Hannah!" from Melissa at the front desk. It always makes me smile. I met with Mandy for my admissions meeting and as we started to talk about me and why I was there, I began to get emotional. She listened. She let me cry. And she helped me find a way to start my journey. And I couldn't thank her enough. When I went into Pima that day, I didn't think it was going to be a program I'd finish. I hadn't finished anything yet. So I didn't see this working either. Boy, was I wrong! After meeting with Mandy, I got to meet Stacey, the director. She was amazing! We talked and laughed and she helped me feel so welcome at Pima. It took me less than a month to finish the half of high school I needed because this team at Pima had my back. They checked on me and made sure I had the help and support I needed. And even invited me to a graduation ceremony to show me that even though I wasn't graduating a Pima program, it still mattered that I graduated! Mandy helped me find a program that fit my personality. And now, I'm 2 weeks away from starting my externship in Phlebotomy. Mrs. Tracey is an absolutely wonderful teacher! She has taught us all how to safely and correctly perform Phlebotomy. She's the best teacher I have ever had. She supports us and cares about us. And I really wish class wasn't over yet, because I'll miss her. Pima is a wonderful school with an amazing and supportive staff. I will never forget them! Thank you all for EVERYTHING!scitulzz66

I am currently in the Vet Assistant program here at Pima!!! I have not been in school for 25 years so I was really nervous and hesitant to start. I must say I am so happy I did. Choosing Pima has been the greatest decision I’ve ever made. Miss Lori was amazing with my prerequisite classes. Miss Julie Carlson is my current on campus teacher for my Vet Assistant program and I have learned so much from her. I am so grateful that she is my main teacher for my program! My experience in the Vet Tech and Vet Assist programs have been so amazing. The teachers here try their best to help their students and open opportunities for them. Chris in the Assist programs was an amazing teacher and wanted the best for her students and truly wanted to see her students succeed. Kati in the Tech program really cares for her students and tries her best to get us amazing hands on experiences by reaching out to different organizations. Horrible horrible experience. Lack of empathy towards students. Laurie in particular is absolutely horrible at her job. I don’t know her job title or if she even has a degree but, she made me and my families life very stressful. Finding a nursing school should be exciting, but this was a nightmare. It started by calling multiple times and the school not having a profile saved with my information. Laurie, I had to give you my information every time I spoke with you until I was assertive enough to ask if you or someone could possibly create me a profile? Then, before I knew that I guess Arizona College only allows you to get your questions answered by one person, I spoke with another “Admissions Advisor” because I was tired of constantly texting and never could get a reply. I expressed that I would have preferred a phone call. It’s kind of nice to actually speak to someone over the phone especially, when you’re about to make a life changing decision. I just wanted a phone call to see where things were and get the answers I needed. Texting isn’t clear and at that point in the admissions process a phone call should have taken place. Laurie appeared to get upset and stated “I was told you don’t like me and don’t want to work with me?” This is very unprofessional. I was being gossiped about and started to feel there must be bonuses or possible commission involved. I felt like I was in a ran down car lot being pushed to buy a car I didn’t want. All Laurie’s concern was for me to sign the application. She was never enthusiastic about starting nursing school. Something along the lines of “come in and take a tour with your family and see what our campus has to offer. I can also help clarify any questions or concerns you and your spouse may have.” Instead it was always arguing back and forth with her. It was ridiculous! The biggest thing is that I was given the run around multiple times, this was extremely stressful. I was told one thing one minute and another the next. This is why I called someone else to get clarification. I felt Laurie is incompetent. It’s important to know the handbook and what the admissions process consists of. First she wanted this document. Turns out it had to be a different document. Then, she lost the email and asked if I could send another document. Turns out none of the documents worked after being told they would. I was never offered a tour of the school, rarely got a return phone call, texted all day, treated with rudeness, given the run around daily, etc. For a $100,000 degree I expect to have an actual Admissions Advisor helping me through my admission process. I’m not that hard to please and I’m a humble person, but this is uncalled for. Get to know the handbook and what the state or school actually requires for admissions instead of having me do the work to track down and pay for documents that once again won’t work. An advisor that remembers my name, treats me with respect and kindness, and someone who has a profile set-up with my information so that every time we reconnect she has my information in front of her would have been ideal. I shouldn’t have to explain what we just talked about more than 3x. Names of colleges attended, my excellent GPA, my current degrees, reminding her I already sent my transcripts, my current career, reminding her of my name, etc. I'm so glad it didn’t work out. I want a school that supports me and somewhere where I feel secure. If the admissions process is like that then, I can’t imagine how I’m suppose to keep a solid B through the whole BSN program with faculty like that. Absolutely the most stressful admissions process from any school I have looked into. I’m so glad it didn’t work out. Everything happens for a reason. I don’t want to help them improve their graduation rates. I will take my degree in Medical Assisting, 8 years of medical field experience, 1 1/2 years of nursing pre-reqs, and my excellent GPA to a school who values me and my compassion for helping people and saving lives.Lacey Newton

Where do I start!! I submit an inquiry for information about the accelerated BSN program on a Sunday Night. I filled out information for GCU and Arizona College of Nursing. I spoke with Laurie from Arizona College of Nursing **the next day**, and I don’t even remember the name of the person I spoke with at GCU. The minute I spoke with Laurie, she led the way. She helped me get my starter ducks in a row to begin the process for enrollment. She provided all the resources needed to get everything going for the August 31st class. I truly believe that the schools 3-year BSN program and Laurie are the two key points to my decision. As soon as I was in, I was in. She didn’t let me go, she followed-up with me consistently to ensure I was ready and had everything I needed to be successful. I was scheduled for my HESI-A2 test that Friday, passed and have been happy, grateful, excited ever since. The school is very hands-on and engaged to make sure you have what you need and the tools to be successful. Also Ms. Amanda at the front desk is amazing! She’s a total sweetheart and is there for anything you need just as all the other staff members are. Ms. Jardee is also phenomenal! I mean I could go on but I would literally be here forever. They have workshops, laptop programs for an affordable price, with so many more resources and benefits to make sure you are on the right track. Bottom line is, if you’re thinking about enrolling- DO It! And if you’re choosing between Arizona college of nursing and another school, go with Arizona college of Nursing because you will not regret it!!Fatima Nimes

Please do not apply to this school ! Do not apply to the Phoenix campus or the Tempe campus . They only take in students of color to meet the government’s diversity quota for government based grant . They treat students of color like garbage . They actually hired racist , hateful professors like professor Nicole Solomon ! they are bullies. You’ll often see a professor yelling and insulting their students in front of a class like it’s normal . The Dean of nursing and the professors pick their favorites and if you do not fall on that list , good luck to you and your mental and emotional ! This school has to be the worse school I have ever attended! Students are getting abused by professors and if you speak up , they’ll you professor Sabrina Emerson Miller to get rid of you claiming you plagiarized! Stay away from this school ! I would recommend this school to anyone that is starting out in healthcare. I am an older student that was passionate about pursuing a career in healthcare. I wanted to learn the basic first before exploring other options in the medical field. I found the school catered to my work schedule and allowed me to learn at a reasonable pace. Thanks to all my instructors I was able to pass my state boards the first time and have found a job in a hospital setting. The program is fast paced but if you study & stick with it, you will succeed. I completed my CNA program with Star Canyon & would definitely recommend it to anyone that's willing to commit to a few weeks of hard work. The program is fast paced but if you study & stick with it, you will succeed. My Instructor Ms Regina was Phenomenal. She was always willing to answer questions, gave real life examples in the field, and it was obvious that she really had the students best interest at heart. The program also allowed extra time for skills practice which was much appreciated since working full time made it difficult for me to find time to practice at home. Ms. Regina is an amazing instructor. She gives you all the information you need to succeed. She doesn’t teach you like an ordinary instructor would, she breaks it down in a language that you will relate and understand. The class size is small so you will get that one on one attention you may need. She is very attentive and available for all her students and takes the extra time out if needed. It can be a bit overwhelming but Ms. Regina makes it easier as you continue. I am so happy that I made the choice to attend. Mrs. Regina is one of the best instructors, hands down. She gives her students tough love that pushes everyone to work hard. She is very knowledgeable and gives encouraging insight into what state is like. This program definitely prepares you to pass your state exams and they also give you additional time to do practice tests/skills even after the 5 weeks are over. I’m so thankful for all the staff at Star Canyon as well as my class mates that I met & practiced with. I would highly recommend coming here for your CNA program. I participate from time to time in the massage therapy clinics held a few times a year. I've been a supporter for several years now. On my most recent visit, at the Gateway Washington campus, my assigned M/T was Janet. She was courteous, professional & communicated with me during the whole process. I truly felt like a valued client and appreciate the service I recieved. The parking was good with close access to entrance. Clinic was neat, clean & very inviting. My overall experience was great! Pricing is very reasonable. Definitely plan to continue my support of this much needed program. There's also a clinic at Estrella Mountain. I've been getting massages through the student massage clinic for years and have throughly enjoyed every single one. This program produces exceptional massage therapists who are professional and highly qualified in their craft. They have excellent understanding of anatomy and can target any issues their clients have. Since it is a student clinic you are in a room with other clients, but privacy is maintained with screens. You will hear other people talking so it may not be reflective of a spa experience but that never bothers me since I go strictly for the therapeutic bodywork.Michelle J.

STUDENT MASSAGE CLINIC I along with three other friends attended the massage clinic and it was not what I expected. It was absolutely wonderful. Everyone was so professional. The massage I received was from Abbey it was two hours long. You would think after two hours someone would be exhausted but she never showed it. I could feel her strength and focus as she massaged every knot in my body. Everyone else who came with me said the same thing. It was the best massage experience we’ve had. I’m a current student in the ADN program. I knew it was fast paced when I signed up, I knew what it would be like to do a program like this. I prepared myself but the school didn’t really care about the fact that COVID affected everyone differently. Especially a few of the instructors. I never missed a day of school after I got COVID the first week of class and was prompt in communication and was sick for weeks but told I had to return or I’d fall too far behind. I definitely struggled during the semester, but I pushed through, one of my instructors who is the Pharm teacher let me know I couldn’t use COVID as an excuse. She was not sympathetic and wouldn’t let me re take anything, while my other teacher encouraged me and pushed me till I passed. The biggest issue is you have one set of people who care and another set who don’t. They need to reevaluate their staff because they are definitely discouraging many of the students. My experience it was so bad here.. it was a nightmare there was one instructor she was a bully!! She was instructor here and at. 6751 N Sunset Blvd #330, Glendale, She bully students she didn’t like she was so childish unprofessional she act like a high schooler Mean girl lol . she would talk bad about the one student she doesn’t like to everybody to make her look horrible the saddest part is some believe her. she pick favorites and will literally fail students she don't like and brag about it. And make fun of them make them cry. I forgive her but I always going to remember her. All I can say is don’t hired racist Jealousy & Insecure instructor it’s sad. Fast paced schooling which I love. I attended the Glendale campus because it was so much closer to me than the Phoenix campus on Dunlap. I know it’s not for everyone. I liked that they had the option of doing evening classes, it was pretty flexible with the 2 days outta the week. My dental instructor Mr. Hester was knowledgeable and really helped prep me for my radiation health exam, which I was able to pass on the first try. And found a job rather quickly after I finished. Few things I didn’t like was having to attend all those meetings for how to write a resume and how to look professional for an interview, I really hated those lol. But that showed me that they really do help set you up for success if you have no experience in working for a professional field.Yuzelly Ramirez

I noticed that there aren’t a lot of reviews for this school campus’ LPN program yet. So, here’s mine: First of all, let me start by saying that this school is legit! I’ve just graduated from their LPN program. I have also recently sat for my NCLEX and passed! I’m celebrating! And, I’ve just received notice that nursing license is officially active. So for any prospective students hesitant if they should enroll or not, wondering if this school legit, do know that, yes, this is an accredited and legit institution (accredited by ACCSC and approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing). There are pros and cons though, and reasons why I couldn’t give this review a 5 star. As of the school’s areas of improvement, wish there was a more active communication during the school’s program. There were a lot of changes while our cohort was in the program (change of management, change of process, and even instructors). For a moment, we felt like we were in a circus and riding a roller coaster. There just had to be more structure, organization, and a proper cascade of communication which I would say I’ve seen them try to improve and have been working on towards the later part of our program. I hope they’ve worked on that now and still are. Another downside is that this school is only nationally accredited (not regionally) which means it’s harder to transfer your credits somewhere else. I still went for it because I wanted to skip the daunting task of doing useless prerequisites and I was in a time crunch. Price-wise, this school is expensive! But, if you have the means to support yourself, don’t let this stop you. Oh, last grievance, our class did not get a graduation! Lol We were pretty bummed. They blamed COVID of course. Now, let me talk about the positives and what I love about this school. We had amazing instructors! At least in the beginning and on our last block. Shout out to Bill, Nilsa, and Tahira! They really cared about our success. They were patient enough to answer our questions, give us resources, listened to our needs, and made themselves available for us to learn and grow in knowledge and skills. They understood nursing is a tough program and never judged our learning capabilities but believed in us. I also liked how our schedule was a hybrid of in-person and zoom. The schedule allowed me to work while in school and allowed me to still maintain a social life. We need balance and this school allowed that. Another thing I liked, though not perfect, was the program. It was work but it wasn’t overwhelming. As long as you do your part, put in work, and study, you’ll be just fine. Perhaps, it wasn’t much of a challenge for me because I created my own study curriculum for myself Lol We were given tools to supplement and support our learning such as ATI and additional content mastery books. This helped me prep for our finals and even the NCLEX. A huge plus, even after our cohort graduated from the program, we were still given school resources to prep for the NCLEX. Instructors conducted review sessions via zoom. They’ve sent us study materials and learning documents to help review. They were there to answer questions and room for our class to support each other. This school also had the infrastructure and skills labs to help us learn unfamiliar processes. It’s almost complete with all the tools we need to practice nursing skills. So overall, this school may not be the best but it is still a good school to go to. For me, it truly worked out time-wise and what I needed to accomplish. Look, I’m already a nurse in a year’s time. No waitlist. No further delays. Of course, everyone’s situation and goals are different, but I can say this school helped with mine. If you think this school’s program(s) is for you, go for it. Don’t let your fears and apprehension scare you. I hope this review provides helpful information and help those who need to make an educational decision if they should enroll into Smith Chason’s LPN program or not. I graduated from west coast June 2020. When I was in school I went through a tough time. The staff was so hands on helping me get through school and changing my schedule. I cannot thank Kallie enough. She is part of the reason I finished school when I wanted to give up. She went above and beyond for me and made sure she kept in contact. I also had the best teachers that really prepared me for the field. Lastly I want to thank Jason for helping me land my dream job!! I currently work full time in Tempe with his help! He sends out emails with jobs and helps students set up interviews after graduation! I know there are some negative reviews but in all I recommend WCUI to anyone who asked me where I graduated. They have prepared me for my lifelong career that not only I enjoy but has changed life for my daughter and I. I recently graduated from WCUI with a Bachelors degree in Cardiovascular Sonography. The staff is incredibly understanding and helpful. I had my second child while in school and they were incredibly helpful and made all the necessary accommodations for me to return back to school with a newborn at home. The instructors are INCREDIBLE. Each and every one of them took the time to work with me one on one to ensure I understood the course material and to help improve my scanning abilities. They always take the time to really get to know each student, and they truly care about each student. The staff worked very hard to place me at an amazing clinical site where I now work. It was hard but I have learned from experiences at Carrington. I had two of the best instructors Ms.Kelly and Mr. Ingram that helped me understand billing and coding. Attended and graduated from this college in Medical Assisting. I've had to stop on by for transcript copies every now and then. The staff continues to be friendly and professional. The highlight of attending this college was how friendly the atmosphere was between students, teachers and staff as well. They seemed to value teamwork within the students and strongly encouraged it. They also held hands-on learning in high regard which was very useful after graduating.L Cruz

Thank God we have a competent nursing program in Phoenix. The Certified Nursing Assistant Program was great. I passed my state test the first time I Try. The instructor is a Nurse Practitioner. SCL College of Nursing is great. Even though the class was two days away, I took and passed my entrance test and they helped med to get my other paperwork to get started. 100% graduation rate too. Not bad!Shakera Nathan

Worst experience, came here for a medical concern, paid 100$ had something else along with it but tech refused to do ultrasound even though I paid them. Then days later they call me looking for a fax number to the place they’re supposed to send it to, place doesn’t receive it, woman tells me “yeah just stop by and we can give you a copy of your report no appointment needed” I drive all the way across Phoenix, and she tells me the piece of paper is going to cost me 10$. I already paid 100$ and didn’t get anything, they didn’t even address my concern. So I left, the urgent care they sent my results to finally got the results, it was a piece of paper with all kinds of lines going through it and an extremely vague description of my results, basically I’m right back where I started, this didn’t give me any answers or help in any way shape or form. Biggest waste of money, Then again it’s all about money, health isn’t a concern to any of these people.ZCM Kazi

The staff was ssooo sweet, friendly, and AMAZING from the receptionist to the ultrasound tech! Through all these COVID restrictions and this being our 1st baby I’ve felt so alone going to drs appointments and not having my significant other there with me, but this place allowed my partner to be in the room with me and it was so beautiful, he heard the heartbeat and saw the baby move around all for the 1st time and not just through a phone. That’s always awkward. I would definitely recommend.. Plus we got our baby’s recorded heartbeat in a stuffed giraffe together they have other animals but I liked the giraffeYasmine Hinojosa

Told my doctor that my baby was in the 1 percentile for weight, turns out that she is in the 10th, and barely small for her age. They will constantly have students in there, doing things wrong, and they failed to fax my information until my doctor called them. Had me sobbing in my doctor's office, thinking my baby would not make it, and had to have another ultrasound done at my regular doctor's office. Thanks, Ultrasound Institute! Ruined my entire day and made me cry infront of strangers because you lied 🙂Angel Munsey
