I really can’t explain what I went through with the staff, so unprofessional and the attitude is horrible I always try to be as nice as possible but the way they treat people is awful. They literally screamed at my mom who does not speak any English for not having her vaccine card with her although she had picture of the vaccine but her phone was dead they yelled at her and did not try to help her enter the building at all. Once I came and approach them they was talking to me with awful attitude and yelling at me!!!!! although I respect the policy but they always could help in situation like this making everything 10X harder and unprofessional behaviour. Please Lehman collage train your employees and staff it’s just seem that they was not train at Enough to deal with people!!A

One of its kinda school Historic place as it is more than 100 year old school CUNY’S most iconic campus so far As building is quite old, construction is going on still it’s worth taking a walk here Lush green gardens and beautiful library plus awesome walkways and old concert hall and other buildings. Library staff is too friendly and easy going and so is the library too They have open tables with solar panels which is awesome Lots of environmental hazards are there which can be dangerous. However, BMCC also suffers from a large rise in remedial education, lack of freshman retention, and overcrowding. edit, update: ended up coming to the conclusion that because all of this uncertanty and my bad living situation I am dropping out, I did all I could, was not met halfway by anone but professors unless I begged here. do not go here if you're poor. Just, no. I can't take it anymore. I've tried to explain my situation to this school multiple times, and I'm left to struggle on my own. I am starving, housing insecure, financially unstable, and unable to make ot to class or properly study because of financial struggle, inability to be alone a place quiet to study because they won't house, and depression. In the end they want to fail you out so you can pay them fees later, I guarantee. I'lll gladly take my review down if it's actually a thing they decide they really want to help me with, only after I have been actually helped, and not as in, money grant to help my situation I never recieve, or new housing program email I apply for and am swiftly rejected because I am not enrolled just enough just yet due to circumstances that are once again not entirely my fault because when I applied here I intended to be taking 16 credits not 7. The best college ever! The best opportunity in your life! Berkeley College is a small college but very professional one. You can find everything you want there, an excellent stuff who works hard and is always waiting for you, a sophisticated technology, using up different sources to make you succeed, a big stuff helping out students to finds jobs and internships, They will do everything to motivate you and prepare you for your future success. That's the way I see this college. It may be a little bit expansive but when it's about our future we have to invest first. Everything in this college is great. Let me start sharing me experience with you: I come from a small country from Europe, where we have a completely different system than here that seems to be a completely stress-free. My English level was not so good, and I still find it difficulty sometimes, but it was not a obstetrical for me at all, because all the professors helped me. And I am definitely glad for all the professors that I had, for 19 of them (5 quarters until now), they are all gorgeous. They never stop telling their student to use them as much as possible. They are respectful, patient, helpful, easy to understand, and they will try everything and every method for the student to succeed, after that is up to the students. If you do what the professors tell you to do you'll be fine, and that's what I and all my friends do. And we enjoy time in the class, we work in group, we discuss and bring new topics in class related with the lectures. And what is the beauty of Berkeley College is the diversity that it has. I consider myself lucky to have peers form different part of the world, because in an easy way help me to learn more about what's going around and try to understand other cultures too, thing that is very important if you live in a city as New York. I agree with a review here that in short terms tells that Berkeley College is a easy college to enter in because it accept everyone. That's true! Men lie, women lie, numbers don't; Berkeley College is one of the worst college in America. According to National Center for Education Statistics, the retention rate is 64 percent and the graduation rate is 30 percent. When people see these type of statistics, many people like to blame the students however in Berkeley College’s case, it’s not the students fault, it’s the school’s fault. One of the problems with Berkeley College is the financial aid. When you first come to Berkeley College, they promise you that you will graduate in 3 years however when you have to deal with the Financial aid it’s nearly impossible. Berkeley College operates on a Quarter System. And because Berkeley College operates on a Quarter system, the government can’t fund every quarter like Summer Quarter. This is a problem because students are force to pay large amount of money out of pocket. And if you can’t afford it, you have no choose but to drop the quarter and this will push back you graduation date. Berkeley College is so expensive and such a waste of money. If you’re coming from high school or another college, don't waste your money and your time. This school is not worth the tuition money you have to pay every year. You pay 30,000 plus (about $7,800 each Quarter) in tuition and with the new book policy, you will be forced to pay $300 out-of-pocket for books you will never use each Quarter. I had the worse college applying experience. This is for the Paramus NJ Campus. I was a prospective student. Unfortunately, I’m on temporary disability for now so I figured “why not go back to school to pursue my dreams?!”. Well, Berkeley admissions gave me a HORRIBLE experience. They stopped following up with me unlike other universities I applied to. No one knew what was going on in my admissions process. I gave this college money that THEY knew I didn’t have because of my disability because I wanted to attend. All of that for these fools to tell me they’re only accepting a portion of the credits I took for my associates degree. I am going to attend a prestigious university that knows what they’re doing and how to handle their prospective students. Putting effort into this college was WORTHLESS!!! Now a month later after my horrible experience the director of admissions Janine contacts me to stand up for her poor excuse of a staffs behavior. She called to say “sorry”. What kind of BS is that?! Hunter Business School helped me find a career that not only changed my life, but completely fell in love with. Covid was a blessing in disguise for me, and really made me evaluate how I'm going to change my life for the better. With being let go from my mundane office job, this was my opportunity to find a not only a stable career, but something rewarding as well. When the idea of radiography came up, I thought "This could be something I can do" and started researching school all around Long Island. HBS landed as my #1 choice. This program was not only affordable, but I would've started my career a whole year later if I attended the program at NCC. I would've been stuck taking prerequisite classes, since my college credits were more than 10 years old. With HBS, it didn't matter how long I had been out of school. I was given the same opportunity whether I was straight out of high school or changing careers later in life. Not only that, but with the accelerated program, I graduated before other schools were done and that gave me a head-start on finding a job. Last week I graduated from the Radiologic Technologist program, and I already have two dream jobs waiting for me. Today I passed my registry for my license, and I couldn't have done with without the dedicated staff at HBS. While the courses were content heavy, they made everything so clear and easy to learn, and were there for us when we needed the extra help. Without them, I wouldn't be the ARRT licensed radiologic technologist I am today.Nadin Kayserian

Attending this school has saved my life. It gave me purpose. The program showed me that I’m much stronger than I thought! I graduated in February 2021 from the x-ray technologist program. The faculty is amazing and very motivating. Many times I felt like the work was too hard, but I didn’t give up, and the teachers (especially Abe) really helped to keep me focused on my goals. So many doors have opened up for me since I graduated from the program. What’s even better is that the school helps you find a job! I graduated from NCC and John Jay prior to attending this school, and neither one of those institutions helped me get a job. In addition, the teachers at the other universities were not nearly as helpful and attentive compared to the teachers at Hunter business school. If it wasn’t for this program and all the amazing things it offers, I truly do not know where I would be today! I am eternally grateful for this school and their programs. Looking back, I have nothing but positive memories here. It was a wonderful learning experience! Abe is the best teacher ever. I’ve been attending Hunter business school Xray tech program for almost a year and I can honestly say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Usually Xray programs are 24 months, Hunters is 16 months(shorter but fast paced)5 days a week so it’s very time consuming. You need to be 100% dedicated and contribute most of your days studying BUT it’s so worth it at the end! Being out of school for a few years it was nerve wrecking to get into the flow of things, but because of the instructors(Mr.Abe, Mrs. Aggey, & Mrs. Joy) they continuously motivate you to be an amazing tech. Because of my lovely instructors they have molded me into a great tech making sure to be tedious to little details in this field and providing excellent care for future patients. I can’t thank Mr. Abe enough for giving me this opportunity and believing in me! Hunter has changed my life and has made me gain such a great career path and a new RAD TECH family ! Do not waste your money. This school is a rip-off. My daughter took the EKG and Phlebotomy courses and throughout both courses only received one day of clinical in each area and they were not full days of practice since the school does not use manikins and the students had to practice the phlebotomy on each other and they could not stick each other but so many times…smh. Upon completion, my daughter received the run around trying to get an internship, and during the one internship interview that she went on the doctor told her that she really did not have anything for her as she was just asked to take another intern who was a relative of someone at the school, but she didn't what to tell my daughter no over the phone. She just had her waste her time and gas so she could experience an interview and tell her no in person…really? The school looked like a waste of time from the beginning and I should have gone with my instincts and gone to a reputable program.B. Manuel

I did my ultrasound course from here and my experience was great . Dr. Ayub and his lectures was awesome and he is always there for you in any guidance or questions even after completion of the course. The good thing is that they give hospital internships placement which actually enrich our skill and opportunities to learn varieties of cases and makes you confident. After the completion of the course they also help you for job opportunities which is really helpful as a beginner. Currently working in a radiology place and of course highly recommend this place.Dipa Denis

This is the best accredited medical school. HANDS DOWN!! At first I was a little skeptical with my choices but I thank God that I made the best decision. I graduated March,2022 from the Medical assistant program and start my career at Brookdale hospital this month 5/2022; this certificate and experience was so worth it! Honestly the faculty/staff is very unorganized for the surgical tech program. The only reason I went with this school is because they have many start dates, so when I inquired on the program it was starting the following month. Opposed to waiting 5-6 months to start elsewhere. This program is insanely expensive and definitely not worth the money (teachers/admin do not care about getting you information on time about your classes once you’ve enrolled/started the program. It’s very hard to get direct information.) You can absolutely find a program that is shorter and cheaper- will still get you NBSTSA certified. This school does accept Fafsa and sub/unsub loans. However the NYU program is only $15k but you need to pay in full before it starts and its a 15 month program. Swedish is about $45k of government money and it’s a 21 month+ program depending on how long it takes you to do clinicals. I don’t feel like I’m learning the job any better or faster than I would have at a different program. I feel like they are dragging out the curriculum to suit the needs of state funding requirements to keep getting the fafsa/aid, whatever. I wouldn’t recommend but everyone’s needs are different. I personally wish I would have looked into a private loan and gone to a different school so I could be done faster. Once you’re NBSTSA certified, it doesn’t matter where you went to school at all.j. “Jay” C

I am very pleased with the education received at the Swedish Institute. As a recent graduate I found myself excelling effortlessly. This school really prepares you and gives the students all knowledge, tools and resources to be a leading successful massage therapist not years after graduating but right after finishing school you are already right at the level of experienced therapists. The clients I am seeing now think I have years of experience from the results and the way my work feels and the information I give them when addressing their case or problem areas. My employers are incredibly pleased with my readiness and professionalism which the school really enforces in all classes. This is due in great part to the amazing experienced and active faculty members we are lucky to learn from and the extensive advanced curriculum in combination with an excellent clinic that allows us to get real experience which has come handy in my current practice. I’m currently enrolled at the Swedish Institute in their Massage Therapy program and wow, I’m having a great time learning! My professors have been wonderful knowledgeable people with many years of experience in the field. They have a passion for both teaching and massage which makes class fun and inspiring. One of my first classes was 100% hands-on practice, meaning I began learning massage techniques during my first term at the school. The science courses paired with the hands-on classes come together beautifully as you learn about the human body and massage all together. I feel that by the end of the program you will feel confident and more than ready to start working as a professional in the field. The school is small but gives you a home-y feeling and a great sense of community. It’s a great place to meet and network with amazing like-minded individuals. I do NOT recommend this school! Honestly I was excited to go here and looking forward with completing this course. I went here for the EMT Basic Program. Let us start from the beginning. On the website they have a price of how much you would pay, but when you get there they tell you something completely different. Then they say the offer financial aid for EMT or payment plans, but when I asked to do it they said they don't do financial aid yet it says it online. So I offered to do a payment plan and they said that I couldn't, so I said okay then I won't attend. All of a sudden it's ok we can do a payment plan, that should've been my cue to not attend. Next the clinical person David, is really unpleasant. He talks to you as if you are beneath him, he is just rude. The course is rushed, if you did not go to school before or have a degree like myself, I don't recommend. The pace is too fast and they teaching is all over the place. Third they have this computer course online which is basically the computer reading what's in the textbook out loud. Unfortunately, that is why I failed because I missed two readings that had little quizzes in them. Which made no sense to me because I like to read the book myself than off the computer. Also, because of that they gave make up courses and two exams to take and said if I passed it, they would allow me to pass the class. I PASSES THEM AND THEY STILL SAID THEY COULD HELP. I should have read ALL of the reviews on this "school." I was really super excited about coming here but they are all about the $$ and don't care about your education. The clinical clearance coordinator, David Izso, is NOT friendly at all. He called me multiple times about a vaccination that I had to wait to get due to doctor appts being booked out and was talking to me if I was a child. Very unprofessional. They terminated me on a Friday, 4 days before the next semester, and a holiday weekend for failing ONE class after allowing me to take a makeup final for another class knowing I was already going to be terminated. They booted me off my portal, I had no access to ANY grades, my agreement signed through the school email, or even access to the other portal where I was messaging my professor. I have friends in nursing SCHOOLS in NYC that are allowed to pay and makeup a class failed after the first time. This school, no. They want me to apply again to just take more money from me. They hounded me everyday to pay my balance but when you want to speak to someone in regards to grades they just send you to voicemail and terminate you. I do not recommend CAHE. I graduated from the paramedic program yesterday and I wanted to just share some information with anyone reading this. I joined the Full-Time Paramedic program and have had a wonderful experience. The program is rigorous but I found the course load to be very doable. The program leadership (David Skolnick and Joel Abraham) really works with each individual student to ensure they are able to succeed and become competent prehospital providers. They had many opportunities to do clinical rotations at various agencies throughout NYC and upstate NY. About 1 quarter into my program, they updated a lot of their equipment as well. Overall, I am very happy to have been trained by CAHE and highly recommend it to anyone looking to join become an EMT or Paramedic.Shulem Rosenbaum

I regret enrolled in this school not a good school. My experience at Ace Institute has been very successful. After completing my internship I recieved a job offering a week later! Now I am a full time Diagnostic medical sonographer. The school directors Amit and Gaurav made me feel welcomed the first day of meeting them. They care about all of the students, because they want the best for us. They both showed respect and gratitude. Rutu was always there for me when it came to financial aid support. So no student should ever have to worry about if they can afford to pay for the school. I’m so proud of myself, I just finished my externship and I’m a graduate of Ace Institute of Technology I started the program in November. I was looking for a school that understands me and able to work with me. From the first time I met with the Director Dr. Gigii she was amazing she motivated me throughout the whole program. If you want to kickstart your career in the medical field look for no further. MCI offered me an amazing opportunity to posses a unique set of skills that can make an impact on peoples’ lives. Dr. Kalam is very knowledgeable and brings real life examples to his classroom to foster better understanding of difficult concepts. He listens to his students concerns, answers questions, goes over material if not understood and gives hands on experience outside of lab/classroom hours to students who need it. I attended MCI’s DMS program from 2020-2022. I owe all my success to Dr. Kalam and Pat Walker for being excellent teachers. Dr. Kalam helped me in the classroom and was part of the reason I passed both my SPI and OBGYN on the first try. He is an amazing instructor, both in the classroom and in the lab. He genuinely cares about his students and their success. Pat Walker helped my scanning abilities so much throughout the duration of this program and again cares about each and everyone of her students. The Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at MCI is fantastic. Dr. Kalams experience and knowledge of ultrasound is what every student could hope for in a professor. He not only prepares you for working as a sonographer but has extensive knowledge in prepping students for their boards. Finding an accredited school locally with a small class size was a huge bonus! Worst! Experince i have ever had with a front desk , representitive, i had an appoinment! At 9:30am, on octuber ,29th 2022, as soon as i walk in. The practice , they ask me for a refferal, as they should! And its understandable! I didnt have the refferal on hands! At the time! I proceed ask what is the next step, then the secretary tells! Me we would need a verbal consent! Ok! I step outside the clinic! Call! My PCP office! And have the doctor! On the line! And the medical secretary tells me that i already lost my appoinment after just two minutes of my appoinment time , secretary procceds to reschedule me! For another facility! Because there is no space for me ! (My appoiment was at 9:30) i walked back in at 9:32! And they cant see me! After i go out of my way to get this refferal! And plus! They couldnt accept faxes, because front dest does not have access to the fax! What type of practice is this! I feel like the front desk representitive couldve done so much more to help me but! No she just stood there and made the whole process unconfortable I will not be coming there again for sure!Santa Liranzo

09/19/22. TERRIBLE!!! They leave you waiting to DIE in the waiting room with Zero direction on where to sign in or go depending on your procedure?? They ask you to come 20 minutes before your appointment and didn’t say a word till I Lost my mind an hour after my appointment. No one had the courtesy or the class to explain the hold up. Screw me, I’m only a patient starving after They told me to fast 4 hours prior!!! & today they tell me no fasting 😳!!!???!!! Time to chose a more reliable company. UPDATE 09/27/22 – Manager over Queens called all concerned & confirms Kew Gardens Mgr. will contact me. That Mgr. contacts me and makes an appt for 09/28/22 and TODAY, the 3rd APPOINTMENT & DAY BEFORE, cancelled and I have to call my insurance because LENOX allowed the approval to expire?? I AM DONE! I had an appointment scheduled for 1140a for my son. Was told on the phone to come in earlier to be seen earlier. We arrived at 1035a and waited. At around 1100a paperwork was given to us to sign and i was told "hopefully you'll get in soon, there is a patient currently in now" Then we waited. It is now 12pm and we are still waiting. Do not bother coming in early as they are not communicative. They don't give any updates to how much longer it will be. Apparently they run late regardless of appt time.Joseph Itzkowitz

I am 42 years old and currently enrolled in the Endoscopy Technician Program and I had no idea I would end up loving it as much as I do. I have two instructors Patrick and Mayuri they are amazinggggg. Patrick and Mayuri work so well together as a team and are both very knowledgeable in this field. I love having two instructors because my classmates and I get so much attention and they both make themselves available if we need them after school hours. The program is accelerated so it is a lot of info fast but as a working mother of two I am able to handle it and I drive an hour away to get to campus. I feel that I got my money’s worth from the school and I have learned so much and I enjoy being in the lab and memorizing the surgical instruments. Both instructors have worked in the field and I love how they offer personal stories of working in the field to give us an idea of what we will be dealing with. I read another review that was complaining about “sitting around and doing nothing on our phones” personally I feel that person wasn’t smart enough to utilize that time to study, memorize instruments or complete homework. I have not taken my national exam yet however I feel that AIMS Education has prepared me thus far. I cannot say I have any complaints so far everyone in financial aid is helpful and job placement for clinicals has been wonderful so far and I will do a follow up review after my clinicals and discuss how quickly I found a job and how my internship went.crazyapplepants546

As NDT alumni, I highly recommend AIMS because the program structure at AIMS is to the point and prepares us well for the real world. The entire staff is cordial, and they help students through the complete process, right from admission to enrollment to the internship. Everyone at AIMS is striving for students’ success. The instructors reach out to every student personally to monitor students’ personal growth and work on their areas of improvement. The instructors are focused on ensuring that the students get the best understanding of the subject. The lab facility is also very well equipped and gives students exposure to real-world settings. My experience with the institute has been extremely positive. It prepared me to clear my ABRET registration exam on the first attempt, and the knowledge gained during the program equipped me to find a job immediately after my internship. I have recently graduated from the Diagnostic medical sonographer program at AIMS and had a very positive experience. The program offers more than what others schools do. At my clinical site, students from others schools were lacking the knowledge and skill for certain type of exam that needed to be done since their school did not offer it. I had great experience from the start. All the teachers, staff and administrators were helpful from the start. Even when struggling with something they say down and asked what’s going on and how can I improve? I am currently employed and it is due to the resources that student services provided and helped me throughout the employment process. The class size was perfect for me since I keep to myself. The pace was fast but you get used to it. Pandemic did not make it easy on everyone but somehow we got thought the material and clinicals with everyone’s effort. I had a positive experience at the school and I would definitely recommend it.Khyati Patel

I walked in and the lady at the reception desk greeted me warmly and professionally. When she completed her interview with me she asked me to be seated. The reception area is up to standard. The technician gave clear instruction and she too was polite and professional and knowledgeable. All went well. I left feeling good which so many times in the health care profession you don’t. I arrived at Lenox Hill radiology with out an appointment and my referral was not written up correctly not only did this facility call and ask the doctor ( in the already over booked ) to see if I could be seen the front desk receptionist called to get my referral fixed now that’s what I call excellent service. I was punctual to my appointment only to be turned away because I had "received" a phone call the MRI technician was not available. They had rescheduled me before I was even at the office and staff was quick to send me to another person to deal with the situation. I left there having to call the main number so I can get a more accommodating time. Since I used a vacation day to keep this appointment that never happened. Studying a dual bachelor's (and my first master's degree) in good part at the City College of New York's Division of Interdisciplinary Studies, at the Center for Worker Education, was one of the most fulfilling experiences that I have ever had. But it was only a confluence of unique factors at the CWE that made this possible for me so shortly after I arrived in the U.S. They have a compact yet superb interdisciplinary team of scholars that promotes the kind of close interaction that one gets these days with luck in postgraduate studies. And the Center for Worker Education's gorgeous and exceptional location in Manhattan's Financial District made it both an oasis of easy access from anywhere in the city (and from New Jersey, where I used to work then) and inviting for relaxing walks after classes. Besides, their four Semester Credit Hours–rather than the usual three SCH that is standard in most universities–allowed me to complete my dual B.A. in just three years, studying a good 25% less courses than it would have taken anywhere else. On top of that, I studied at a pace of just two evenings per week, and Saturdays only a few semesters. Add CUNY's exceptional affordability, some truly fantastic professors, and the CWE's unique diversity and you will get a combination of pluses hard to beat! This is City College's downtown, worker program, and it was an excellent fit for me. The facilities were clean and new, the registration was seamless and efficient (one of the best reasons to come here, and definitely one of mine), the area is great (not too busy like where some other CUNY schools are located), and all of the students are of a more "mature" age bracket (some people preferred this). Some of the professors were eccentric, lol, but good overall. Caution, like most new Liberal Arts programs like the one available here (Nyack one block over, College of New Rochelle in Harlem & South Bronx, etc.) these BA degrees are typically for people who are already working and who just need a general bachelors degree to move up at their job. This program in particular was established for those who worked in the public sector (mostly for the city, like in the building that Nyack is in) with courses in public admin, unions & negotiations, etc. (There's a master's program in the same field with CUNY School of Professional Studies in midtown). For some, if you need a bachelors to earn a little more money getting office jobs that require a BA, this is a great route too. It's also great if you want to attend graduate school. Some professors, particularly one in social work, will get you recommendations to get you into Hunter's MSW program. For all these reasons stated above, I recommend this program.Sha Ro

As a full-time employee and single mother the course syllabus enabled me to complete the credits I needed to obtain my undergraduate degree. Several years later I wanted to obtain a Masters Degree in a topic that interested me. I enrolled in the MA Study of the Americas program and I must say I was not disappointed. Everything I remembered about the CWE experience remained true. The professors are knowledgeable, passionate about their course of study and committed to each student that enrolls in the program. Amazing teachers, especially imad, who brought me from an inexperienced student to a legitimate certified phlebotomist, and “dr.trisha” (dont know how to spell her last name) who equiped me with all the necessary knowledge for the medical world and phlebotomy. My experience in this school was a 5/5 to say the very least and anybody thinking about getting started in the medical field should give austin medical a strong consideration as this school truly wants you to succeed. The teachers I had for my phlebotomy course were amazing. We had Dr. Abeer for our lectures and she always ensured everyone understood the curriculum. She prepped us for any quizzes and finals and always offered extra help. Kerlos was our lab instructor and I loved his teaching style. Before I signed up for the phlebotomy class I researched extensively all the options in NYC. This is the only one that will actually provide hands on experience and prepare you for real patients- no dummy arms. Both the lecturer (Dr. Abeer) and the lab instructor (Carlos) are amazing. It was a very fun, comfortable and safe learning experience. Atleast within NYC, I don’t think any other program can compete.Marawan Ibrahim

made appointment on 12:15 CT scan. they (call center) told me to show up 2 hours before and not to eat or drink 4 hours before. to clarify it I asked "does that mean I should show up at 10:15 and not eat or drink after 8:15?" and they said yes that's correct. I had breakfast a little before 8 and showed up at 10:15. the radiology receptionist said they couldn't do scan on me because I shouldn't have eaten or drank 4 hours before my show-up time (meaning 6:15) and told me that they couldn't see me that day. I had to argue with them telling them the misinformation the call center gave me in order to reschedule it later that same day, at 14:30. I took Valium at 12:30 and they didn't call me through until 15:45, 8 hours since I had last eaten or drank water. The dressing room door had no lock and someone walked in while I was undressed, and when the radiology head technician (Richard something) finally saw me he asked me some question about my pain and while I was answering that question he kept talking over me without listening. His assistant apparently didn't know how to put IV onto my arm so Richard had to take over, saying something like "what's going on? this is strange…" in my presence. couldn't imagine a worse visit.Toshiro Yamaguchi

This place is extremely unprofessional. I had an appointment for an open MRI today and I couldn't get it because the machine was out of order, which I understand. However, one of the receptionists was extremely rude to me. For one, she referred to me as the wrong name and didn't bother to correct herself until I told her that wasn't my name. Then she loudly said that she saw diabetes in my medical records when I don't have it at all. Then, while I was explaining to her that I'm claustrophobic and can't use the closed MRI machine, she invalidated me and tried to coerce me to use that one. Because of the out of service machine, she suggested for me to go another facility. I told her that I couldn't go to another one because my medical transportation was scheduled to pick me up from here. She responded by saying "what is wrong with you? You don't like the train?" My appointment was at 7 pm today. Technician himself calls me rudely at 6:45 pm to tell me they close around 7pm. I tell him I'm outside and he is encouraging me to reschedule at other locations but I can come if I like. I told several people during the course of scheduling and confirming my appointment that I am claustrophobic and needed my particular exam done on a certain type of MRI machine. They scheduled me at this location because they have this machine. On top of his snub remarks, the technician did his absolute best to discourage me from getting the test instead of making me feel comfortable because he didn't want to do the work and go home. He suggested to reschedule at other locations which has a different type of machine and doesn't accomplish the purpose of the test as referred by the doctor. I am so thankful to this school and their faculty. I passed my RMA on first try, which is the (Registered Medical Assistant Examination) thanks to everything i learned here.my best mentor, friend and best teacher was Dr Ahmeed, he is so understandable and works with you. Actually my whole class spoke to school director to assign just him for the class, due to the fact that he knew where we were left out off, instead of going to another teacher who didnt know what you knew, he is a good instructor very supportive and helpful! The only bad reviews you can see here on google are from people that never paid attention and never did assignments…and that want everything handed to them! This is a college so it means you have to work hard to earn you education! and they let you know rules ahead of time the school has a policy that must be followed regarding attendance and misbehaving, or not doing what your supposed to do…. so rules are laid out to you in the first week….. so no excuses. The faculty people have a good heart, but this is a business, there are rules to follow.! Im thankful for all the help i received. Hard work really pays off! I have nothing to say but great things about this school. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA, got my phlebotomy certification with distinction, passed my RMA examination on my first attempt and now working at one of the biggest hospital at NYC as a Medical Assistant. My overall experience from the start through my graduation date was wonderful. All of the staffs were helpful. They would make sure that they would help you the best way they could. This school offers review classes that will help you with your education. They would make sure that you are ready before you take any state tests. With that being said, I would like to thank all of the staffs at this school for their time and effort. I really appreciate everything you did for me. This school 100% discriminate students, especially those who have no previous nursing school experience. The teacher and classmates will kick you out together without giving you any refund. My teacher Ms Emily and another classmate kicked me out of school right in the middle of the class and closed the classroom door behind me heavily. At that time, I already finished 80% of the book. They said without any CNA experience and preparation previously i should never attend this class and slow down their speed. Of course no refund issued. The teacher is not treating fairly between experienced classmates and non-experienced classmates. I have two bachelor degree in computer and journalism, i also have MBA abroad. I admit i never had any hospital experience before, but that does not mean i will definitely fail the exam. Luckily I was not trying to find a job with CNA, I did learn skills to take care of my father though.melody N
