14 Best Sonography Programs In New Orleans, LA (2022 Updated)

First of all I would start off by saying This is a great hospital with SOME great Doctors and Nurses. My son have been in and out for almost 2 years. Staying weeks and months at a time. Monday my son went to surgery where he almost lost his life and while in surgery someone went in his room and stole some of his belongings. Administration and Security tried to make it like we may have lost (1) item “AirPods” I tracked them, it led me to the cafeteria why the cafeteria if my son was in OR (Operating Room) then went straight to ICU 🤔 the alert went off right where I was standing at. Meaning the AirPods are very close to me. Security walked me to the side, I tried to explain to him but he was not listening to one word I was saying. The Head Nurse Bridgette walks in and asked to walk in the kitchen to see if the phone will alert again, well it didn’t because it was about 30-40 minutes later. Now by that time the theif have turned them off. I was getting upset, trying to explain and Bridgette walked off. Security said he didn’t/couldn’t see anything on the camera. Now missing books and AirPods are gone. The next morning the location was disabled because now the theif have left the hospital and disconnected. Yesterday I spoke with Kristin, she seemed nice and they are replacing the AirPods. 🤬 And the investigation is still ongoing!!!!!!!!! Am I satisfied???? Not at all because I will be speaking to other officials out of Children’s Hospital because I already know, they think buying new AirPods will make me feel better. I have never had an experience like this with this Hospital. Thanks To ALL my sons NURSES, THE GI TEAM, THE PELICAN CREW, SURGERY TEAM, INFECTION AND DISEASE TEAM, and the ones I didn’t mention! 👍🏽 You guys are the real MVP’sLee Perrilloux

I’ve been going to Children’s Hospital for about almost a month now, with my niece being there getting treatment, I met this very diligent and helpful officer in your facility His name is Karl Rodriguez. He is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet not to mention he’s very professional when it comes to his job and helping an elderly like me . Every time he sees me getting out my car he run and helps me open my car door and help me get my wheelchair out the back of my car without any hesitation, He always says “Good morning sir , Good afternoon sir how are you doing . “ that’s a good example of a good officer, good company and hoping whoever is the one running the department sees how hard working and dedicated they are especially how this gentleman Karl Rodriguez treat me like his own family or someone very important not to compared to any public safety or police officers I have met . We even have a great conversation a long the way but it just too personally so I just leave it there where we left it . I just hope that you see how this gentleman works and how dedicated he is and he will do anything for the safety of the people there at lcmc . I don’t know how much the pay rate of the officer working there but I do wish lcmc public safety will pay officers the pay they deserves . I’m writing this review because I want them to be recognized . I want the chief of public safety to read this so please hand it to him . I am very much looking forward for my next visit there and keep up the good work for making all your employees feel appreciated.Kenneth Ryan

We are still here for another week but I can say this. Everyone from the parking garage to the other side of the hospital where we have to be has been exceptional. I have not seen the level of teamwork in a while & last time was UHC@NO. I am forever grateful & thankful for what this hospital has done & continue to do. 6th floor rocks👍👍 Also whomever is the pilot of the Children's Hospital Helicopter awesome flying. Beautiful. Once again the entire staff at this hospital went above and beyond my hopes for my granddaughter. We live almost 3 hrs away,the oral surgeon and the dentist (Dr King&Dr. Fournier) took their time working with their teams here were able do help and get the oral care we had been waiting for a year. This is by far the most compassionate and competent entire hospital that keeps family involved with patients care. To the owner know what you have is very unique.Kathleen Romero

I would like to make it clear that I spoke with the Dean and the President of the students and got the students to sign a petition at fortis college and the President informed me that she has the power to change the way graduation is and she is not going too ! as a student I do not think its fair that we only have ONE commencement ceremony and students start a new term every six weeks i informed the president about the students reaction and suggested 2 ceremonies throughout the year so all students get a decent time to celebrate their accomplishments and she simply did not care also they use term "graduation'' in orientation but its really your "expected finish date" i think fortis has a lot to learn they say they are just like a real college but i think its just for the money bc why would you not want to celebrate your students accomplishments ??Jania Street

FORTIS HVAC COURSE HELPED ME TO START MY CAREER PATH. I’ve since started my own company. The Instructors at fortis are remarkable they take as much time with you as needed and then give more time even outside of school. Mr. Gene, Mr Darren, Mr. Terance, Mr. Crockett, and Mr. Leroy NOW THATS A DREAM TEAM OF INSTRUCTORS!! Great University in New Orleans where you can and will receive a QUALITY EDUCATION. As do most state schools, they’re underfunded, understaffed & seemingly have a high turnover rate; in my opinion. HOWEVER, when it comes to education, they’re #1!!! No spoon feeding, hand holding over here; if you want it, you have to WORK for it. The struggle is REAL. But upon graduation or course A/B level grade course completion, you will know the material FORWARD AND BACKWARDS. Not bashing other universities, but a UNO Degree holds weight; here you get OUT WHAT YOU PUT IN!!!! I pray for more funding; this university is a treasure and need not be lost due to bureaucratic red tape.Teneha B

My son is a music major there – is there a better place to study music than New Orleans? He loves the department and is getting lots of hands-on experience. Ponchartrain Hall is the nicest dorm I have ever seen – a palace compared to the places I lived "back in the day." And it's the least expensive of the state schools – he could be living far from home and paying a LOT more the privilege and not be getting as good an education as he's getting at UNO.John Baur

Run-down school that has little quality in food, living, education, and staff. The expensive cost doesn't garner any neat benifits like other schools. The only saving grace of this university is it's pretty decent film school or engineering program, which would be more beneficial if they were their own independent institutions. Reading all the comments only tell half the story. I've read about bad dorms. Well didn't Howard university just have it's students sleeping outside due to rat infestation and mold? Does spelman have a/c in most of it's dorms yet? Nope not at all. I've read about the school being about money and that financial aid was not very professional. What hbcu isn't? Most all hbcu's biggest gripe is the financial aid office. That's the reason a lot of people transfer to pwis is because of the financial aid process. A lot of the views presented here are misleading to potential applicants. It shine a negative light on Xavier, for the very same issues most hbcu's are facing. That being said. I remember this being the first college I attended. I was the first in my family to go to college so I wasn’t aware of much , but there was staff to help us… Well , this man helped me and we were on a website and he was just telling me everything to click and what to “approve” . Come to find out this man made me accept about 10K in student loans, but for only 1 semester!!! ,Unfortunately this money did not even go toward my classes but to the freshman dorm I lived in ( very dirty ) . I wish he would of explained more to me . I didn’t find out until being at the school for a little while & checking my credit karma .Queenqueen Queen

Loyola University is great college! Is it a perfect college? No. I very much enjoyed my time there. It has a compact campus, but a large park across the street, which gives one an excellent balance between the urban and the rural! the staff is so ridiculously incompetent. the advisors never answer emails, sometimes ill send an email and wait a week for a response and never get one, so ill send another email, and another, and another, and finally get a response that most of the time doesnt even answer the full question being asked. different staff members will also tell you conflicting information, leaving you confused on what you’re supposed to do. you can never get ahold of anyone to help you. my boyfriend went here as well and was given the wrong schedule of classes which ended with him needing to attend an extra semester to take the class he actually needed. also they practically have new advisors for each major every year, and they never tell you when your advisor has changed or even update the website, so you just have to email the old one 40 times before they finally answer and tell you who you’re supposed to be emailing. if you dont like being stressed and confused all the time i recommend u just go somewhere else!Mia Carbo (Meyuh)

I have been a student here for 2 years and I have no idea how they have any students. No matter how early you submit financial aid they process at the last minute. At least twice I have had to contact the department of education to explain changes on my student aid that they could not justify or explain. As of today it has been 1 solid month trying to get someone on the phone to ask questions about my financial aid which has been submitted 2 months ago but still not processed. When you do manage to get someone on the phone they are rude and often give conflicting information from one department to the next. The excuse is always that they are swamped with calls, which to me is an invalid excuse! If that many calls coming in they should use the money collected from tuition to hire more people to answer the call of the students paying their salary.This will be my last semester at this school! Their financial aid office is absolutely HORRIBLE! I was first approved for aid that I apparently don't qualify for. Once approved, it later disappeared, and I was never notified that I wasn't qualified for it. After learning my classes weren't secured, I only was able to get in touch with the financial aid office through their live chat online, and I'd been trying to get in touch via email and phone for days beforehand. They do not answer phone calls or emails, which I find extremely unprofessional. After finally getting in touch with them, I learn I qualify for a different financial aid package, approve it, then it disappears again. Turns out, Im not qualified for that either and was again never notified. If you have to deal with their financial aid office, good luck!A H

The Instructors are VERY!!! Unorganized, They mix their classes up with one of their other classes ! Very Unprofessional. This is my 2nd semester and its been so different from what im use to at a different college in which I graduated. Worst teacher there is Boris Odynocki He write sloppy on the board, very condescending, his views about women are awful, such as he speaks of them being gold diggers often, he show favoritism on how he grade it has nothing to do with classwork,test or attendence!Maria Charra

A 1 star rating is way too much and considerably nice of me. Unorganized, unprofessional. You can tell the administration is only there to collect a paycheck. No one there seems to be on the same page. They will lose paper work and when you try to speak with a supervisor, you'll have to email and call daily and you MAY just get a response in 2 weeks. Here is where the MAGIC happens. The best & brightest are trained for all things medical. Big brains come together to learn & fostering an environment that is conducive to learning & advancing the future via medical technologies. My mother worked here & as a child, I roamed the halls being a lookey-lu & even now, I am astounded by the advances of medicine & the medical community. I love the LSUHSC Community at large as they get it & understand the major undertaking of the health & well being of the Greater New Orleans Area; what a some what daunting yet accomplishable task. Love the campus expansion & I think it makes for a more comfortable & welcoming environment for students & staff alike.Teneha B

Do not attend school here. The absolute worst experience I have ever had. They only care about getting your money and nothing more. If you have a child do NOT bring them or you will be asked to make them completely quiet or leave. Staff is plain rude. I went to this School in its rebuilding period and the teachers put everything into what they do. Your success is their success. I was initially going to attend Delgado Community College's program but now that I am in the work field I am glad I didn't. I have worked with several former Delgado students who are not very versatile do to the lack of variations in their clinical sites. At BRG we rotated through at least 10 different types of clinical settings which prepared me to work in different in different entities of radiology.JONES RAPHAEL

I was in and out within 15minutes minutes for a injury to my leg. I was not given the necessary information about my injury, got an ace bandage and was simply told "use it or not". I had an open wound which wasn't cleaned. At the end of the visit after receiving a shot for pain I was given crutches and I was walked out dizzy and nearly falling all the way to the door. No one even offered to assist. I wasn't even given release instructions or any paperwork… I am in awe!!!!!!Ashley Rebelle

I chose NuCamp primarily for the cost, but more specifically, for the cost in comparison for what was being offered…in other words, it seemed to offer the most bang for my buck. The ability to just pay for and take the first intraductory class was also a big factor – that allowed me to see what they had to offer without making a big commitment of either time or money. I'm pretty amazed at what I was able to learn in just the four week introductory class. The way each week of the course is structured really breaks down a very good foundation, and also keeps you motivated to move forward and continue learning. Another thing I liked about the way it was structured is that you had video lessons presented by one person, and then a bit of a review at the end of the week in your sessions wityh your individual instructor. This allowed you to see the material presented from two different perspectives, which helped to clear up any areas you were having trouble understanding. After 4 weeks, do I feel as though I have an understanding of HTML, CSS, and Java Script? No, not at all, but what I've gained from the class ios a strong enough foundation to become proficient – even good – at all of them though more self practice and self learning. It would've taken me many months to learn on my own through free internet resources, what I've learned in just 4 weeks through NuCamp. What was taught was just the basics of each of the three languages, so there's still lots for me to go and learn, but because of the way the course was structured – with everything taught being a foundation for the next thing – it gave me all the basics I need to be able to understand the rest with self study. From the time I began looking into coding bootcamps to the day I started this course was about 9 months; if I could start over, knowing what iIknow now about NuCamp, not only would I take this introductory course again, but i would've taken it as soon as I started looking into bootcamps. The price of this course compared to what i was able to learn is amazing! If they charged twice as much, it would still be worht the knowledge it's provided. I should say also, that the support system that comes with NuCamp, is amazing (and I've only just begun to scratch the surface of that support system)!!! I'm looking forward to my next step with NuCamp, and would even be thrilled if they had more offerings to take – the way the curriculum is set up seems to work very, very well. I would absolutely reccommend their introductory course to anyone setting out to learn coding, and even to anyone that just wants to find out if coding is something they're really interested in; for the price, it would even be worth it if you took the course and decided it wasn't for you.Matthew Latiolais

I fasted the night b4 & showed up 45 minutes early 4 blood work that had to be drawn b4 10a.m. At 9 :55 they said I was next.I assume the 20 people seen ahead of me didn't have deadline for blood draw.
