The classes offered here are great, however the financial aid office is really unorganized and gives you the run around. I have literary spent a whole semester running back and forth filling our paperwork and checking to see if they’ve received my financial aid application. It’s almost the end of the semester and they still tell me that they don’t have anything on file, after they’ve told me that they just received it three weeks ago.Luis Arroyo

I took several courses at Merritt, initially thinking it would be easy, just because it's a community college. I was VERY mistaken. The courses I took were rigorous and the instructors had high standards of expectation. The curriculum was no skate. My experience there was great and I would recommend this college to anyone. By the way, DePaul University in Chicago accepted my Merritt credits without blinking.Meb Bem

The website is so complicated and ambiguous it takes at good half hour to find what you need. When you finally get their the function usually doesn't work! The campus signs and layout are horrible. If you're going to Merritt for the first time, give yourself at least an extra hour to find your way around! For a higher institution of learning, someone needs to fix these issues…R Cole

I am a student of the Bay Area Medical Academy and am happy to recommend the academy to all who intend to take their careers a step further. I joined this Academy in the Phlebotomy program and am very satisfied with the education and training that I have recieved from the academy. I owe my knowledge and skill about phlebotomy to this academy. Today I am on my way to accomplishing the milestones that lay before me but am confident that very soon not only will I be able to get a job in the medical field but will also be able to make a small difference to the lives of many people who suffer from various illnesses. Phlebotomy is an important and much needed skill and I'm happy and grateful to have acquired it from Bay Area Medical Academy. I saw a few one star reviews and decided to update my review. I wonder why are there some unhappy students. I only have good things to report. My instructor Ms. B did a good job of teaching us. The labs here are amazing!!! They never run out of supplies! From day one, the process was outlined really well. Karina at externship is simply amazing!!! A thorough professional. She's very quick to respond to requests and queries and takes into consideration your needs. Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! I feel sorry for the students who haven't had a fab experience but realize, it's an academy and externship is doing all they can to place as may of us as they can at locations of our choice. It's not an easy task by any standard!! Follow their process to the 'T' and it's a very smooth sail. Also look deep within you…. were you on your A game? Did you miss a step in the process? Lastly, do realize that this school is relatively affordable as compared to the others out there and that's kudos to the board at BAMA who've kept this into consideration while designing a program. Overall, I am super satisfied and will come to BAMA over and over again for adding on new skills! No two ways on that one. Thank you BAMA for taking such good care of me and the other students. My experience with (bay area academy) I used lower case letters for the name of the school because I feel I had no help with employment, also when jobs were posted they said if you're interested feel free to send resumes to the school and they will assist students because they are affiliated with the companies. That never happened.The resume specialist did incomplete resumes for me more than once. I finished my program EKG Technician 2017 I am still not working. I went in again October 2018 to be assisted with resume still incomplete. I was prepared for a job fair in which bay area academy was to help me prepare for, again I was told I would be called to be assisted with the pre- employment They never got back to me until after it was over. I got lucky with having a great teacher! The training was very thorough, and the externship was very helpful. My only complaint is that BAMA GRAVELY MISLEAD me to believe that this process was short. The wait time for an externship is incredibly long, even if you can do a 2+ week one. And the state takes weeks to process your license once you are done with your paperwork. All in all, it took me about a year to get my license; and I had the luxury of doing the 3 week externship with a shortISH wait time.Melissa Fiato

I enrolled at Computer Tutor in March of 2016 and received my Certificate of Achievement in Administrative Accounting Clerk I. My experience attending this school was very positive, as the staff and teachers are very helpful, pleasant and encouraging. I gained extensive knowledge in Accounting and am now very comfortable working in MS Excel and Quick Books and am now able to apply for jobs that require these skills. Computer Tutor also provides a Job Resource Center that is very helpful to you in your search for employment. I'm just your averge joe working heavy labor jobs until I decided it's time to get serious and get an education. I can't afford nice things, but with Fasfa and pel grant, at the office they helped me out on how to get enrolled for part time in college. The best part is I only had to pay 3k AFTER I graduate in payments of 50 a month. I rather use my 4hrs to learn than sit around watching tv. While I go to school I can work at the same time pay off my bills and still have time to rest at home. The whole point about working smarter is so that you can enjoy life. Two years ago I had the good insight of enrolling in Concorde's PTA program. The program is run by knowledgeable Physical Therapists invested in quality education (Mary, Sam, Laura, Kelly, Dennis). They provided me with the necessary tools to start a new career and enter the work force feeling competent with my skills. The school has a department dedicated to assist graduates find a job, Alvy has personally helped me with this, he even rendered a mock interview so that I would show up to a possible employer as a strong and coherent candidate. Because the program is so well organized (from prerequisites to clinical rotations and even when/how to signing up for your board test!) it is easier to have a balance school/personal life. And when you approach the school, Karl, the security officer at the entrance, is the most welcoming and kind person that will ever open a door for you.Yawi Griffini

My experience at Concorde has truly been astounding. I joined the Medical Assistant program and my teacher Ms Tameka was nothing short of a great instructor. She was very patient, compassionate and dedicated to ensuring that every student learned even if it meant staying late or adapting the way she presented materials.The Financial staff Eva and Peetee were very efficient in handling my paperwork so that I could dedicate my focus to studying and be successful. Upon completion my graduate employment specialist Rocky was a true rockstar. I attended Concorde Career College for the Medical Assistant Program and after completing, I am now a graduate!. After completing my externship, Rocky Ramirez who is our graduate employment specialist assisted me with my resume and employment opportunities. I have to represent my school! I dont know about the other programs but I finishes the LVN program graduated in Jan. 2015 the nursing department is amazing!! The school really goes above and beyond to train us and give us as much experience as they can. Shout out to Dr. Haney the nursing director!! Love this guy! He is a nurse and guess what also a Physician. We his students couldent be in better hands. Like every school they are not perfect but knowing you have a dedicated and devoted director that is willing to play theory instructor, clinical instructor, and spend his nights and weekends helping you and your education incase his staff fails, thats priceless! He is a role model to all students and staff and proves it if needed. I have the luxury to say a Dr. Was my theory instructor in nursing school and my classmates and I slammed dunked the NCLEX yeeea!! About job hunting I recommend alredy being in the field before you go spend $29k on a program obviously. I was alredy a CNA for 2yrs. And it was easier for me to get a job. Staff was very nice. However, the ultrasound program is not accredited. When asked about if and how many students were employed here or near LA after graduation, they only kept saying examples of very few students that got employed in other states and small cities, pretty much anywhere that would overlook the program not being accredited because they needed employees. And even then it took them months to find the job. You can't sit for the ARDMS exam after graduation until after you have a year of full time paid work experience (which will be nearly impossible to find a job with out having done the exam or going to a caheep school.) Do your research please before picking a college for the AAS DMS program. This one wasn't the one for me. I decided to go to an accredited school which was only $1,000 more than WCUI. Worth the money because the school is very nice, modern, and its less of a hassle to sit for the ARDMS exam (which ima able to do quickly with out the paid work experience because of going to an accredited school.)Jennifer Martinez

West Coast Ultrasound Institute has been amazing to me, and every part of my experience they have been positive and given me high confidence that I made the right choice when I picked this school to get my training. The equipment is always available and the staff are super helpful, going above and beyond to help me when I need extra learning, and giving me encouragement when I’m on the right track. Fariba is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had in my life, she knows her stuff! As a lab instructor she is professional, Polite and she has great teaching skills, she cares about her students. When I need help she’s there, in class or out of class. Her instructions are very clear, with her lectures and techniques given to me and the other students to become more efficient sonographers. I know with these facilities and the staff here at WCUI, I’m going to be well prepared for a career in the field. I also just recently passed my SPI board exam. If I can put no stars I would. I was part of the MA program since October 2019 going for my associates degree. I did get pregnant during my time and Covid also interrupted my studies. However, I did get dropped from school today without any reasonable reason or notice. All this school cares about is taking your money. Sad to say but true and staff at Modesto campus completely suck. Except for Dr. Basha and Mr. Martin I have heard such great things about him. I give you credit. Furthermore, I needed only two classes til externship but they were general Ed classes. Anyway I did turn in work and received no credit. Also I was accused for plagiarism when I came up with my own homework and ideas. Online teachers are terrible and need to give credit to students who do their work. When I was not doing online classes I got credit for any work I completed whether it was half way done or a quarter done. So I highly don’t recommend attending any campuses. If your thinking about starting a trade, look no further. I have no words to express how happy I am with the course and a huge pay raise within my current company. The teachers here are amazing and wonderful and do not get enough credit for all the little things they do. I was in the vet tech program. All the instructors for vet tech actually are RVT which is cool, cause they have seen so many things and worked in the field for so long, they are all so very knowledgeable. Most of the employees who worked in the office are also very helpful and kind. No one in the entire Carrington College Pleasant Hill location regarding faculty (including staff, office workers, janitors and teachers) gets the recognition they deserve. Everyone i met in the time during my program all went above and beyond what they were paid to do or had to do because the instructors and teachers really care about you and really want you to reach your goals. Any problems or issues you may be having the teachers will always help you or they will find someone who is better equipped to help and understand your issues or problems. The 2 years i spent here because thats how fast you can get your degree and diploma in a 2 year period went back so quick and i would completely do it again. All the teachers have there own way of giving you the information you need but it is your job to study it. My teacher was awesome so there were times when the teacher would stay later then needed just to help me and other studys or review any information that we werent completely comfortable with yet. It's nice to know that the staff, instructors and teachers really want you to know this information and will not get pass anyone who doesnt know there information. You get to work with so many beautiful animals both which students, and teacher bring in from there homes as well as the labs we attend to practice on larger animals such as horses and cows. It was all just one big thrilling event. All teachers, instructors and staff deserve a raise for the wonderful things they do just on a daily basis to help others that goes unnoticed. During my time here at the Carrington College Pleasant Hill campus i also worked there as a student worker. All staff members are overworked and underpaid. The higher up management people who get paid to do a job that they pan off on the others who are lower in ranked get all the opportunities as well as all the recognition for things they have no part in. I have seen multiple people quit or be fired for what others have done which is not right. The CEOs or whomever is at the top and makes the decision for everyone under them needs to pay more attention to there employees and actually realize what they are doing and know what they are worth. The instructors and teachers do not work here because of the pay or recognition that they so rightfully deserve and need, NO. They work here because they love the people here, because they love the students here, it's because they love what they do and they want us students to make sure we love it to. They do not want us paying so much money and taking all these classes if it is not something we actually want and like to do and are good in it. If all the little dogs got paid more and well enough as well as proper trainer for new employees and not just throwing them to the wolves making them feel overwhelmed and adding boatloads of paperwork to a single person already under stress and having a shoulder looked over every minute wondering if they are messing up because no one was there to properly train them, then the employees at carrington college pleasant hill campus would probably stay longer and would not leave due to things being mislooked at. This school only cares about the money you pay them. I remember the director contacting me so many times in a week to pay my past due. I was still waiting for my VA benefits to kick in. Then I was told if I don’t pay by this date, I will be removed from the program. So I applied for a loan to pay off my past due. After that I was never harassed again. I expected a lot from this school. From great didactic instructors to clinical instructors. But that did not happened. I only had one good didactic instructor. My clinical instructor was lazy and always complaining. The leadership did not care about you. Just their well being as a school. Your grades don’t matter. Also they did not care if you are a military veteran. There were times that I had to clock in using my phone which is not allowed, but my clinical instructor was always late so I couldn’t clock in using a computer. I was removed from the MRI program because I was DISHONEST. Instead of helping you to improve, they just remove you from the program because they got what they needed from you. MONEY! No kind of remediation whatsoever. Just after your MONEY. You’re better off with Unitek where they care about their students emotionally, spiritually, and personally. I applied to the Gurnick Academy ultrasound technology program ( San Mateo campus ), At first I was getting constant email reminders to complete documents before the deadline date . After I completed everything I had an panel interview set up , the interview went well overall but I was asked a certain question that I didn’t completely understand and when I hesitated ( and felt nervous ) the interviewer rudely responded with frustration at my delayed response . At the end of the interview they informed me that I would receive a response within 3 weeks. Within a few days I received an email demanding that I complete a financial aid form within that day “ just in case” I get into the program even though I hadn’t received an acceptance letter. Well.. 3 weeks passed and I sent a follow up email kindly thanking everyone that attended the interview for there time and consideration . I didn’t get a single reply back from that email , a month after the interview day they emailed me informing that I didn’t get in and should try applying next year . The negative reviews I read after the fact are correct , it seemed like they were only after money .Amani Abdaw

Vasco Career College was a great experience! It was an honor to be a student of Mrs. Dru. Not only is she the director of Vasco Career College college, but also the instructor and taught for pharmacy technician class! I’ve had my fair share of struggle in her class but Mrs. Dru was very helpful and motivating. I completed a pharmacy technician program at Vasco Career College in November 2017. I have tried to study on my own for quite some time. In the end there still were some areas I struggled with. After completion of this program, I can tell that my knowledge improved dramatically. Ms. Drusella is a very competent instructor who is very knowledgeable and is able to present material to her students in a way that is easy to understand. She takes her time to explain everything and ensures that her students are not left with any unanswered questions. I am very glad I took this course here since now I feel confident and prepared for my PTCB examination and my future career. It's well worth the money and time I invested. My LOVE for the ultrasound program at Gurnick is way beyond. – from the teachers to the challenging curriculum. All the faculty members of sonography program integrates with compassion into their teaching standards, emphasizes the importance of values, and builds leaders through each of their classes and lessons. Sonography program is not an easy program. You have to be passionate about working in this field with patient care and being proactive. It’s takes a lot of hard work and dedication and determination. The director and the professor’s made sure that each of us are successful in this program. Though it is a private school, I had to work hard for this program and be successful And every member from financial aid to coordinators to front desk made sure that we all are given help and guidance when we need it. Definitely would recommend this school. I am a current student in the ultrasound program and I have gained so much knowledge for the time I have been there thus far. Instructors go above and beyond to make sure the material is taught well and share new skills to make sure we are the best at our jobs, for ourselves and our patients. Jorge, the program director is always finding diverse techniques to make learning a fun experience. The curriculum is awesome as well as the environment. I went in not knowing what I looking at on a “black and white screen” and now I can point out all of the anatomy as well as complete diagnostic exams. I am a current Ultrasound student at Gurnick Academy and I am pleased with my decision to apply to this program. This is NOT an easy program, it will challenge you in many ways. However, you are given plenty of support and resources to help you succeed. I have yet to have a day where we are not able to practice scanning, which is very impressive compared to other programs. All instructors are experienced sonographers that set clear expectations for student performance. The director of the Ultrasound Program, Jorge, will go above and beyond for his students while preparing us for the field and anything it may throw at us. Wasted 2 precious years of my life and money at this school. This school lacks too many things to list here but I'll share with you a couple of them. First, the instructors are nice and well taught only thing is their equipment are old and not enough to go around. Secondly they need to hire a qualified Admin dept personnel, not a person off the street. And my biggest disappointment about this school is that you will NOT get a job after graduating from this school !!!! I am in debt right now as we speak for the tuition I owed, and if I can turn back the time, I will use this money on something useful. I will stay away from this school if I were you, there are other similar schools may cost a little bit more but they are and will be well worth your money and have a better chance at landing you the job after graduation. I've attended ATI College back in 2009. It was the best choice i made since. They sent me to Long Beach VA Hospital for my externship and It was amazing!! I learned soo much. Everyone @ ATI was really very pleasant and I had the Best Instructors. All the Instructors are ARDMS Certified and Experienced Doctors. I received emails wkly from the career services @ ATI. I was determined to find a job and so I took advantage using those emails and sending out my resumes. I found a job 3 mo's after graduating from ATI and have been working as a sonographer since. My experiences and payroll has increased 3xs. I know it is a difficult world we live in but it all starts with you. whether you want to succeed in this career or not. It's up to you!!! I attended ATI College in 2010. I was very lucky to have knowledgeable instructors who were always willing to help when I asked. They also set me up with a great externship site at a hospital where I gained a lot of experience and I was able to find a job within a month after finishing my externship. There were some people who were unable to find a job afterwards but those were usually the students who were always missing class or not using their class time wisely. Basically, you get back what you put in. I would recommend this school to anyone who is willing to put in the time and effort into a new career.Claudia S

This school is very fast and easy, but when I went there they still had a lot of restrictions due to COVID so the classes were held through zoom, no problem there but the class consisted of the teacher just reading a power point. Which wasn’t what I expected honestly, but it might (hopefully) be different if it was in class the whole time. I did learn what I needed to pass my board exam but I also had to look up a few things on the internet so…. Then when you pass your exam you have to apply to their externship program which is $600, which is not to bad but they do not prioritize you!! And that’s why I’m rating it so low, I’ve been in the externship program for 9 months already and STILL have not been placed in a hospital. Most of the time went to me having to send a lot of paper work, shots and TB tests and them not having time to answer my emails. And now that my file is complete they can’t find a hospital to put me in. I’m pretty sure that’s lack of organization on there part because if you expect me to pay all that money you should at least have a hospital to put your students in when they join your program. This was a fast SPD course, but I did learn all that I needed to in order to pass my SPD certification exam. I took it in the summer 2020, but had to do it mostyl via Zoom because of COVID. It worked for me because both instructors lectured throughout the entire course instead of having the class do it independently. Although, when we had a lab, we were able to come in. The instructors for both SPD and ERT were very knowledgeable in the topics they taught. They do teach differently and run their class differently, but it worked for me. I have applied for externship and will update my review when I complete that. I gave 4 stars, because the front office didn't really contact me, I had to contact them instead. Maybe that was due to COVID, i don't know. Other than that, its a great school. Update. I waited about 5 months to interview for an externship position. I attended the Sterile Processing program in the summer of 2017. It was an accelerated course, with an instructor that had been in the field for over 20yrs. The preparation and coursework to get you prepared for the exam was intensive, and needed to be. The course is designed to be fast. I passed my exam and went through their externship program. I was placed quickly. Fast-forward 5 years later. I'm proudly serving America's Veterans, as a Sterile Processing Technician. The staff at Altamont Healthcare has been extremely supportive. Even after 5 years I was able to reach out to them for help with my recertification. I needed documents that I had lost. Their response via email was instantaneous. The professionalism and expedited attention to this matter was greatly appreciated! This program has changed the direction of my life. Thank you!Dafina Everhart

Throughout my enrollment process everyone has been so helpful an accommodating. I love how you can tell the enrollment staff is very passionate about helping their students get enrolled. Eleshea has been absolutely wonderful helping me through the process she has been excited with me as I am getting prepared for my upcoming semester. The Dental Assisting teachers are absolutely exceptional! They always make you feel welcomed, cared for, and do their best to accommodate everyone’s teaching needs. Mr Miller does hilarious video and Mrs. M helps you relate the learning to yourself or others and that helps you really grab the concept. Karina with student resources is absolutely amazing as well. I dropped out of a Delta college because I was not getting the help and guidance I needed to succeed. My friend recommended Carrington College so I gave it a shot. I am so close to finishing and my director and teachers I’ve had for the DA program has been nothing but helpful and supportive 100% through the time I have been there. I’m a graduating student of LVN, i highly recommend Gurnick academy, i had the best experience in didactic classes and clinical with Sir Norman, he, I must say is the best clinical instructor. He provided us a high quality education, He showed us professionalism, his strong work of ethics inspires me to be like him in the future, he doesn't tolerate negative attitude, but he is very considerate to students. You can see the passion and he really wants his students to learn and develop for the better. He pushed beyond what we think is our limits, he developed our critical thinking, he taught us to think outside the box and at the same time encouraged us, he is very knowledgeable, you can ask him any question about any disease process, pharmacology, psych, skills etc. and he can answer all of it and able to explain in a cellular level. For the past years of enggaging myself into this education, I have observed that Sir Norman is the type of person that never let his students down. I've also learned that studying is a process not just to shake everything inside you but to also bring out the best in you and that is what I've obtained from sir Norman. He taught us about professionalism and about putting our patients on top of our priority. He possibly made us one, despite of the diversity we are in. It is a great school to learn! They will not let you down and will help you if you are having a hard time in certain class. I had maximize my clinical time because of Mr. Norman Elizaga, he is very professional and knowledgeable, he taught us a lot of things in nursing that i did not experience with any other instructor. He will challenge you until you become a competitive student. At first i was having a hard time with some of my classes until i was put in his clinical group and got my mind set up in concept mapping, that way my classes went easier and became understandable. I then started getting As in my didactics. He changed how my thinking process works as well as my critical thinking in nursing. He is very professional dealing with students. I attend Concord campus and they have decided, at the end of our program, to change to graduation we are having. The previous classes have had a graduation with the program they are a part of. We have been told they are going to make us wait for months and graduate with the entire college. We worked hard to become nurses and to have to sacrifice all we have worked for to have a mediocre impersonal graduation that we are paying for as part of our tuition is unethical. We have sent numerous e-mails in the past 3 weeks (6/21/22) to Jason Frank and Joe K. with no response. They will not acknowledge us, not even in the hallways. We are done in 3 months. To not know what is going on with a celebration we worked so hard to achieve is very unsettling and I do not feel valued as a student here. I was not only a student at United Medical Institute, but I also had the privilege of becoming one of their sonography instructors. As a student, I found a thorough, well rounded sonographic and medical education from highly educated and trained instructors. This allowed me to pass my SPI and to enter into one of UMI's externship sites where I gained exceptional hands-on experience before passing my boards. Because of my respect for UMI's program, when offered a teaching position, I jumped on it. I wanted to be a part of the environment that valued not only education, but ethics and integrity. READ WHOLE REVIEW!!! I was a student here for about a month. I then learned that they are NOT accredited. Which means you will graduate with a useless certificate. You will not be able to sit for boards and good luck getting a job. The teachers have no clue about their class setup, there are grammatical errors in the “exams” we took, our clinical instructors didn’t know what all the buttons on the machines did, and location was in a less than desirable location. That is just a SLIVER of what this school is like and I don’t recommend it to anyone. Spend a little bit more money on a real ACCREDITED program.Anna Agar

I’m a graduate from SUI and I can say without a doubt that students coming from this school are learning above and beyond what you will find at other institutions. I am sure of this as I worked alongside other students from these schools. The knowledge and scanning ability from the SUI students was clearly superior. SUI really gives you the tools you need in the real world to succeed in this field. Even after you graduate they will help you along the way, they treat you like family. I graduated two years ago and am still welcome there whenever I please and staff communicates with me regularly. This is a HUGE difference from the way I was treated when applying at other schools (think big name schools in the Bay Area). SUI also has some really great professors. Here is my review of two of them: Dr. Noori is the smartest person I have ever met in my lifetime and I’m 38 years old. I regularly refer to him in examples as the smartest person I have, or probably will ever meet. Not only is he a genius but he is also very humble, modest, and just genuinely a nice person. One of the greatest people I have ever met and I can only hope to raise my children to be half what he is. Dr. Suhad knows everything there is to know about ultrasound and is so compassionate. She is the most approachable professor you can ask for. Very polite and patient, exactly the characteristics you need in a professor, especially in this challenging field. She’s happy to stay late and help you with any of your needs or go above and beyond to tutor if needed. I just cannot say enough about the staff at SUI, so professional, knowledgeable, and polite. A big contrast to colleges I have attended.Sean

I was told I would be getting a 4D ultrasound when I scheduled my appointment on the phone. I was also misinformed that at 14 weeks pregnant the gender prediction would be 99% accurate . Upon researching this I’ve found it’s actually only 75% accurate. If I had known this before I would have gotten the blood test, which is what I originally called for. The ultrasound tech was frustrated she couldn’t get my baby to move and was audibly sighing through the whole process, then she told us the gender so fast and moved us out of the room we were in disbelief. It honestly ruined the whole exciting moment for us. We were very disappointed in this experience.Amanda Johnston

I am in the Medical Assisting program which is a new program at SUI and I absolutely love this program. The teacher is amazing and makes the classroom a fun learning environment. Being the the MA program it is full of lots of laughter, lots of learning, and hands on work which has made this whole experience amazing. Another reason why I love this school so much is that all the students and staff at SUI are willing to help each other in order to get better. I graduated CBD’s DMS program in July of 2020. Majority of the DMS instructors and program faculty are top notch and super dedicated to the success of their students. I have no complaints about the DMS program itself. However, I am almost 3 years out from graduation and I reached out to the school regarding a transcript that I needed to apply to another school. I was informed after requesting my transcript that my account had a so called “outstanding monetary balance” which I was unaware of for almost 3 YEARS. Literally NO ONE from CBD has attempted to contact me via email or phone regarding this issue and when I spoke to the financial aid person, Lisa Reichstein, about this issue she informed me that if I didn’t make some sort of payment that I would immediately be sent to collection…. After no warning for almost 3 years… I have had a HORRIBLE experience with the financial aid department while trying to resolve this issue; Specifically with Lisa Reichstein, from inaccurate communication about what my monthly payments would be to her accidentally charging my bank account with monthly payments NOT ONCE BUT TWICE. Both of the accidental excessive charges were of payments greater than $250.00 which is a significant amount of money to be losing on accident as a result of someone’s incompetence. If you’re looking for a private, CAAHEP accredited school for DMS look no further. But beware that everyone in their administration is totally incapable, unprofessional & obviously unqualified to do their job correctly.ALANNA BETANCOURT

I attended and graduated for the PTA program from Oct 2019 – Nov 2022. I must say this was one of the most challenging experiences I have gone through especially being out of school for 15 year. Luckily the staff and instructors are more than happy to spend the extra time with you to make sure you are able to succeed in the program. At no fault of the school we entered the covid pandemic and had to switch to a hybrid program, however our instructors were able to still get us into the campus for hands on labs with strict guidelines to keep us safe, yet manage to make sure we received the hand on training required for the field. I feel that attending CBD College PTA program was one of the best decisions I have made in preparing me for a new career and making sure I was prepared to take on the NPTE Boards. I was able to take and pass the exam on my first attempt and start my career immediately (3 days after NPTE results) once I received my license from DCA. I used to always say I'll got back to school next year, and that turned into 3, then 5, and so on. My brother said to me time will pass regardless, might as well have it pass and have a degree already. That was my final push to make the move to attend CBD College.christopher fonseca

First and foremost, I would like to say that if you’re interested in pursuing a career in the medical field, CBD College would be a great place to enroll. The staff and teachers are a pleasure to work with. I began my journey at CBD in 2019 with the MRI program. The classes were taught so well by each teacher, that for the first time in a long time, I actually grasped the knowledge with full understanding. After graduating with my AA, I then enrolled into CBD again to obtain my BA in Health Science. At first, I was a bit nervous because I was sure the courses were not going to be easy but each professor took their time teaching us thoroughly and also made time for us if we ever needed help outside of classroom hours which was incredibly helpful for me. The experience of getting an "Education" at this institution leaves much to be desired. I have gotten my education and quite a bit of experience from this place and in my time I have seen: -Lazy professors -Unethical Administrators -Dean of Equity complaining about how her office isn't big enough -Terrible education (When a professor makes you watch a 30 year old documentary and calls that an adequate representation of modern happenings, professors simply telling you to use Quizlet, Professors telling you that you are poor now and will always be poor, professors telling the students that she believes they are selfish animals, Professors brining their personal lives into class, Professors being petty, ETC ETC) -.Abrogating their motto "We Care About Your Success!" They serve themselves only and work to perpetuate their administration. We are merely statistics for them to use to accomplish their selfish goals. -People in Student Government having sex in the "Honor Center" -Students moral being low -People in Student Government who steal from the school each other among other illicit activities… -The School funding silly building projects rather than doing things to materially better the lives of the students. -Having workers laugh about how they poorly put together gym equipment that costs well over 10 grand -hearing Professors say they are overwhelmed and can't help you -Having the Administration Straight up LIE and then Obfuscate any responsibility. -Student News Paper: When I dealt with them they proved to be self-serving hypocrites. -The campus police turn a blind eye to the vagrants who pollute the area with their filth and drug paraphernalia: They even burnt down a section of the Lake a while back, because they where living in Marshes. They have since relocated to the bushes on the border of LMC and the Trails -Trails just outside of the school are an easy route for drugs, crime, and opportunists. I am glad to be done with this part of my life, I luckily have taken other college classes in other Universities; thus, I was well suited for the free for all LMC offers its students. With that said i have seen many Good people come into LMC and walk out with nothing to show not because of some fault of theirs but because of the wretched environment and culture perpetuated at LMC by the ADMINISTRATION and its ILK!mansa shaka

Overall this community college is excellent. Most of the teachers are willing to spend time helping you if you need it, the campus is very clean and offers a lot of different jobs for students, and there are quite a few learning communities for a rather small campus. The Brentwood Math Lab is better than the Pittsburg Math Lab though, in my opinion. The cafeteria isn't all that great, but if you have a car there are tons of other food options on Century Boulevard just down the street. Many people don't know that there is even a Nature Preserve in LMC with a lot of California native plants, and it is located between parking lots B and C in the back or Southern part of campus.Mary Abusafieh

Greatful to this school. Through here I was able to go an get my RN. Many good teachers over the years, some have already moved on, but good place to go. My only complaint is their points system for the nursing program. Preference is given to those that have a bachelor's degree or higher. I agree with higher grades and licenses i. The medical field getting preference, but giving preference to someone seeking a career changes over someone that has yet to start a career seems unfair. Anyway, life isn't suppose to be fair, make your own way, what I did, and graduated with a bachelor's of science in nurse instead of just an associates.Arnold Lira
