Its been years since sitting in Dr. Kulo's class, and as he's retired, and I've gone on to an MBA and Doctorates, and been able to put them to pretty good use as a University Professor, I remember with GREAT fondness, my years at Salve coupled with the Newport experience. The people at Salve Regina are wonderful. They really care about how you grow as a student and a person. You also can't beat Newport as the campus is beautiful and very relaxing. The school was such a wonderful find to discover and I hope they continue to grow but remain the hidden gem they are!John Farrell

This school has a campus as gorgeous as it gets. Located in Newport, RI on the water, the views out onto the ocean are phenomenal. The school itself is a bit pricey however you definitely get what you pay for. You won't be disappointed with your college experience if you choose this school.Chris Rallo

Most of the bad reviews are coming from people who had ONE bad experience at like the book store or whatever or i gEt tHiEr aDs oN hUlu, though the veteran who shared his story probably has a decent case to make. Anyway I got a business degree from this college and if you actually try you can do really really well here, with great professors and programs like the honors program which gives high level learning at bottom dollar, and wonderful faculty like the folks at PTK, disability services, or the Fuller Center. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot to work on regarding graduation rates, the food, no one card system, etc but I couldn't give this place anything less than 5 stars because of all of the wonderful people who give 110% here, especially in those departments I mentioned. If you live in Worcester don't spend 30k a year to go to Assumption, you'll save so much money to come here. Seek opportunity, study for your tests, respect your professors and faculty, and most importantly, do your damn homework; I guarantee you'll be a success at this place if you do all of these things.Clark Kent

The qcc "police" are some of the most unqualified and unempathetic people in the area. There is no doubt they have no training, no expertise in law and zero idea of what they are doing. Maybe they should take some courses while they work their jobs at qcc in criminal justice. Maybe they can get a handle on their jobs. This is an awesome school and I am so disappointed that one teacher ruined it all for me. DO NOT take Professor Jane Joyce accounting classes or any classes from her. She is awful and not a good teacher in general. You will waist your money, time, and probably want to rip your hair out when she talks. I have to be honest about this. Good college when it comes to campus design, some Professor's teaching skills, and assistance for school related issues. Although, the school teaches bad ethics. For example, sports lack discipline. They will teach there athletes to run score boards up. Up by 20 in a basketball game with 3mins to go, they will shoot more three point shots than Steve Kerr. The most alarming thing is faculty will participate in Hazing students. I've watch this with my own two eyes. Call them out on it, and they will just deny it, at least my professor did. I am currently a student there, who help form a club, in order to help students get there basic needs to become a successful student. So just remember, good campus design, some Professors have good teaching styles, good for resources, but terrible place to learn good ethics. To me learning good ethics and applying them is one of the most important, or the most important thing to learn as a student. Would not be the first school I would want to send my child to. My alma mater which will always be in my heart till it stop beating (that might sound too dramatic) but hey that’s the truth! I learned a lot, got tons of experiences, got so many American and International friends, exchanged culture and collected precious moments in this place. I really miss the college, my friends, the clubs, the library, single stop, the cafeteria and most importantly I miss my coordinator when I was in a scholarship Program and of course I really miss the professors. I do recommend this college as an affordable and easy starting point but be ready to encounter many hurdles in your way and a lot of incompetent staff. Make sure to double check everything you do here, especially the financial aid part. The professors are nice but it’s on you to actually learn the material, the professors rarely will make sure you learned anything. It’s a 3 star college. Great diversity of people, BUT absolutely no political diversity, if you’re a radical leftist, you’ll love this college.Roberto R

To start off, the academics or classes you take are more like ones in high school you take. It doesn't make it interesting unless you are in a special major such as culinary, equine, robotics, or something of that nature. The culinary classes I was in were something. Definitely had ups and downs but it may not be worth it since some skills you learn may never be used again. Your grandmother can probably be a better instructor. Now the living situations, the dorms are alright. It is difficult to live with others since you want them to revolve around your schedule but you also have to revolve around theirs. I always had bad roommates. You know ones that stay up late (up till 2 in the morning), snore, drink, smoke weed in the room, etc. It is probably just me that I can't live with others. You can change rooms but there have been less and less dorm rooms over the years. The worst part is that when you pick your room, you are given a random time to schedule. Best bet is to have the least amount of roommates as possible and having a private bathroom in your room. Don't want to be sharing the bathrooms and showers with hundreds of other people (bring some sandals and/or slippers). The dining situation kind of blows. For a school known for a culinary program, you could cook something better. There are less dining halls than when I started. The only option for breakfast is Starbucks. Lunch and Dinner is okay. Two dining options include all you can eat which is great. The menu changes every meal but you will see the same menu items a few weeks later. Everything also closes early on the weekends. Obviously, you don't want to spend so much money on take-out and delivery so best bet is get your food from a dining hall before it closes. The meal plan can be managed. You got either 7, 10, 14, or 18 meals a week. Each plan comes with flex which is a certain amount of dollars you can spend at the dining halls if you don't want a full meal or something that isn't part of a meal swipe. I miss it!! 😭😭 Graduated Nov '19 (the last fall term with trimesters). Jwu really stands out with their career focus an all the networking opportunities via professional clubs and career fairs. There study abroad options are impressive! I was lucky enough to attend a semester at sea. Taking core courses that are taught by former industry professionals makes going to class sooo worth it. Stand out professors are Prof. Rhodes, Lavin, and Boker. 10 out of 10 experience / at times, i felt like it was worth the price tag just for them. Providence is such a cool vibe. It feels like a little slice of Boston… Without the traffic and big-city-feel nuisances. (This is also coming from somebody who thought that they did not like cities at all) On Thursdays, (also because most students don't have class on Fridays), the city will literally feel like it's coming alive. Great energy around here even though there's homeless people who consistently panhandle. (You'll get to know the familiar faces and they'll leave you alone- definitely not a deal breaker). I highly recommend getting your own apartment right away because it's outrageously priced otherwise. That is, unless you're on a full ride and room & board is covered. Although, one semester of on-campus housing is helpful in an effort to make friends. This is very cliche to reference the university mantra… but "pride, courage, character, and community" really do define what the school is. I'm very proud to be a wildcat for life and am forever grateful to have the connections I made there.Andy B

I think it’s crazy that local guides can give reviews when they know nothing about the experience of actually going to the college. Johnson & Wales was the worst choice I ever could have made in a college, which is really sad knowing I chose this school in honor of my grandfather who went here, and passed away right before getting to see me go to college. Professors are the only good part of the school. All the other workers who work in the offices, the actual people who run the school as a whole – a literal joke. The entire school is a joke. Student loans? Not worth it. This is a school that does not care about its students like it portrays that it does. Although my professors have been awesome, the university as a whole is horribly disorganized and mismanaged. The various staff of different departments are uniformly rude and uninformed. I've gotten wrong and/or misleading information on basic protocol literally EVERY SINGLE TIME I've spoken with someone (where do I submit work study requests? Can I still carry student insurance if I'm part-time?) Regarding the insurance, I was told "yes" by 2 different pople. HOWEVER, the answer to that is it's automatically cancelled when you register online for classes and it is received as part-time, so then you have to re-enroll as a new client at a higher rate. I found this out when I was trying to fill a prescription and after much investigation found out that my insurance had been cancelled. This is one of the MANY problems I've experienced with Southern administration. Equally as faulty, is the technology "services" that Southern uses. Windows 7 computers in the computer labs that take (no joke) 5-20 mins to log you on if there are more than 3 people in the room and remote printing that requires an installation on your laptop every time you want to use it. This is recommend since you'll otherwise sit for 20 mins for the lab computer to log on and then progress to opening and printing a file at the speed of dial-up. If you need to reach anyone (computing services, the bookstore) for questions, you'll be strained to find contact info outside of the (203)392-SCSU main office number. A detailed Google search rarely finds the phone numbers associated with specific offices. Most recently, for the past month as Southern has started the fall semester, their network has become so overloaded that the mail server periodically un-syncs all of my devices from their email (iPhone, Mac) so I don't get mail or know that an email I sent never actually sent, since it doesn't appear in ANY outbox or draft folder from any device. But since it happens off-and-on, as the SCSU network comes and goes as it pleases, I've not known about the missed emails until someone tells about a group email I missed. Lastly, and kinda most importantly, Southern's crap internet system occasionally doesn't recognize my password for Bannerweb, email, and Blackboard. Confoundingly, this doesn't occur on these applications all in one sitting. MANY TIMES I've sat and typed my password into Blackboard 5+ times and magically after repeated entries it suddenly works!!! Always had the same problem logging into "myscsu" and trying to get my email back online to the Southern server. Recommendation: If you're enrolling as a full-time undergraduate, I would HIGHLY recommend looking for a school elsewhere because you're DEFINITELY not getting your money's worth at this institution. Note: they also have no funding for student work study anymore, so don't count on that for extra money/tuition expenses. If you're taking classes part-time, for a job or continuing education, it will be a frustrating experience, but not a total waste of money. Botton line, I rated 2 stars because the professors and experiences with classmates have been awesome this past year, but the university as a whole is beyond frustrating.Jennifer Vollmer

im usually not the type of person to be negative and leave lengthy reviews but this is so necessary being that im so extremely disappointed with this school! I went for a tour in November of 2017 fell in love with the campus so I decided to apply as a transfer student in April of 2018! I sent in my fee waiver form April 20th I was told it takes 2-3weeks to hear back from the school, ok cool! here it is a MONTH later still no response, nor any communication to even let me know they've received my fee waiver form and that id be hearing from them soon or whatever the case may be just complete silence!!! not to mention the students that answer the phone are very rude and snappy! I withdrew my application and applied to Iona college! I applied with them got an acceptance letter, got my financial situation settled, paid my deposit all within a week, easy as 1,2,3 as it SHOULD be. Its an excellent school with a countless number of awards, i feel as though the process of applying to schools should be as easy and stress free as possible! Im extremely dissatisfied with my experience with this school it literally had everything I was looking for campus wise, but everything happens for a reason and being that Im going into the education field I've been told from numerous amounts of educators that im better off getting a job, with a degree from Iona under my belt. If I could give Southern zero stars I absolutely would. They are extremely unorganized, they don't care about you as a student AT ALL.. They cancelled a BIO class that I really needed a week before classes start. I emailed the head of the department asking for a solution and all I got was a too bad.. Now because of this I have to attend an extra semester and will not be graduating in time.. They offer classes at odd times which makes it hard for you to sign up for classes back to back, so far the professors I had don't care about you and are not understanding.. I graduated from Western Connecticut and I never had a problem with them and now because of Southern I have to spend more of my time and money that I don't have…Barbara Monteiro

Everything was well organized: the university tour, the application workshop, multiple aid desks to provide information on every aspect in a student life like financial aid, scholarships, a specific info about the differents college… One thing that I enjoyed most was the exposition on Cuba in Northeastern University Gallery. Worst school I’ve ever attended! IT service has no phone number to reach out. School health insurance never reply your call. International student advisors hard to reach out. Being a transfer student from ISU I'm impressed . The latter statement was 4 years ago. I graduated this year with plans to go to graduate school. The school has issues that, are not taken seriously or are ignored. Many changes, though minor can improve and help student learning at no additional cost. Even with the multitude of problems the university has, they will never be solved unless they hire a mediator to work with students and staff. Such person must have a likable personality and known among the students, professors and staff to properly retrieve information to suggest changes. Our new President is a very likable and devoted individual. But such a position prevents him actually to see what is taking place on campus. The university has provided me an excellent education I could not have gotten from a more prestigious university. The staff and professors go above and beyond what is required of them to help struggling students. The university is very humble in their devotion to students and provide a one on one.service to students. But as I mentioned there are many things in need of change. For example; this is the only university I know that has banking hours for a study environment. The library is the primary place of study but opens at 730 am and closes at 10pm. If you are in need of more studying time your out of luck. They graciously extend the hours by 2 during midterm and finals. Though the the library is over staffed and only one librarian has a devoted concern towards students, beware if you bother the others for help and interrupt their online movies and other activities.Byron Doherty

What a great group of Nurses! These ladies and Gentlemen are what keeps hospitals running! The heart and soul of the medical system! I spent a few hours with this great group of people today for a test and they made me feel relaxed and cared for! I wish I could remember each of their names to personally thank them but sadly they gave me some milk of amnesia and I woke up no remembering my own name! My initial pre-op experience was awful! My nurse (Betsy) walked in and immediately started complaining to me that my wedding bands weren’t off. (My fingers were completely swollen). She hadn’t even introduced herself at this point. She just started talking about my having to get them cut off. She asked why I hadn’t seen a jeweler prior to surgery. Mind you, I’m very nervous about my upcoming procedure and feeling very vulnerable as I’m laying in a hospital gown as she’s going on and on… I’m crying at this point out of frustration and nerves and she continues to prattle on about me having to sign a waiver now in case they burn me or cut my rings off. Then comes the IV… She tries a few times to get an IV going and can’t. I tell her that this is sometimes a challenge, but she sticks me and pokes with no success. (I’m still bruised a week later) She tells me that she’s going to need the anesthesiologist to do it. She leaves and in the meantime, the anesthesiologist comes in to talk to me and leaves. The nurse returns and tells me that she can’t find the anesthesiologist so I relay that I just saw her. Her response was, “Well did you say anything to her??” I’m sorry, but is it my job to communicate with the anesthesiologist about my nurse not being able to start an IV?!? The whole thing was beyond frustrating! She had no bedside manner whatsoever and clearly could not read the room when I’m staring at the ceiling crying and she’s blabbing on about her son’s upcoming wedding, etc…. Needless to say, I was grateful for the anesthesia to kick in and to get away from this whole experience. On the flip side, my recovery nurse Jenn was fantastic and kind. She was right by my side as I came to and assured me that my rings were fine . (They had somehow gotten them off) She went over the post op directions carefully with my husband and wished me well at the car when she wheeled me out. If it weren’t for the latter experience, I’d have given 1 star in my review. So thank you Jenn for making my ending much better than my awful beginning at Roger Williams.Michelle Marandola

The ER receptionist just said have a seat & someone will be you in a minute. After waiting with my leg with a long gash bleeding, I asked how long will someone come out.and just look at my leg. No response. TG a nurse came out of a room and I asked her to help me which she did and put me in a wheelchair and tended to my wound and cleaned it up and wrapped it up. Then out I went into the waiting room because all the beds were full. My wait was about 3 hours as there had been some critical cases in the ER. It was around 2 am when I said I’ll just go home. The ER nurse said you will be next and I was. Once I got into the room and laid in the bed an ER nurse came in and asked what happened and took my vitals. Then the doctor came in and I had told what happened. Once he accessed my leg and wound everything went smoothly. Got an x-ray, then the doctor came in and I had no broken bones. Then he really cleaned up my wound explained how he was putting on my wound and wrapped it up good. He was very good by answering all my questions. The wait was long but once I got a bed everyone was very attentive. I was released about 3:30 am with all instructions.Christine Messier

The surgery went great and the therapists were fantastic I was less than happy with the case manager. She claimed to have called 19 different agencies for home physical therapy and she claimed that none of them would take me as a client because of my health coverage. I had to do it it myself. It took me a week but I finally got home physical therapy under my coverage. I feel that she dropped the ball in a big way. Also the polar cooler that they billed my insurance for was leaking the entire time in the hospital and of course it leaked all over my floor at home. I was told that it was brand new but obviously that was wrong. I ended up throwing it away and had to buy one myself. The kitchen was really good though. All in all 3 stars is all I can give. You need to pay more attention to setting up essential services for a patient being discharged.Gayle Patalano

I consider myself very familiar with the VA medical system. I've been in treatment from my injuries since my blast consistently since 2014. None of my past diagnosis mean a thing here.. The gastro department here refuses to talk to the neurology department. For someone who has a traumatic brain Injury this is very important. I've been in inpatient facilities and other hospitals where's it's taken years for specialists and doctors working together to come up with a diagnosis and plan. I then move here where a student gives me a diagnosis in minutes with a prescription.. Im almost bed ridden now and have to move to another VA because of it.. I've been treated unprofessionally by my case managers where I've brought up past records and been laughed at as if I was making things up. .. Just recently they can now see my records and after almost 4 years with my health in horrible decline I now have more problems than I came here with. The blame was placed again on me for not doing a proper transfer of care. They had months of advance notice because this wasn't my first time going to a new VA. Constant blame and no accountability. Even with my records now available I'm deeply disturbed by the fact I have rarely seen a real doctor here and just see students. This place may be great for your normal aging veterans but if you have serious injuries or anything to complicated I wish you the best. Some other better facilities include Pittsburgh VA and Richmonds Va where I have received top notch care. Good luckColton Carmen

I have had very mixed experiences here. Some amazing staff that listened and really wanted to help. Powerades abusive jerks who took pleasure in triggering a flash back. It's the usual mixed bag of garbage the VA gives you these days. They force the patients to wear masks under COVID protocols. They prevent patients from having companions while receiving care under COVID guidelines. But I did not see a single staff member wearing a mask nor a face mask nor taking any COVID preventive steps on themselves. They prevented my companion from joining me but did not offer me a sign language interpreter even when informed of my profound deafness and that my hearing aids were broken. Yet when I did not respond or I did not understand they ER staff on my second visit became very abusive and did everything they could to trigger a flashback so they could put me in the non-compliant category and get rid of me. if you are a combat veteran and if you have any other option don't go there .Melissa Sterry

Providence VA Hospital has got to be the worst healthcare system I've ever seen. They give you phone numbers that don't work. They lost my MRI scans twice – I had to go back to the imaging center twice to get them. But this is the worst: I've got cervical spine issues from previous surgeries. One day I had severe spasms, lost control of my car, climbed the curb and nearly hit a group of people. I called the VA as I was scared … a nurse called me back, I explained the problem and he said the doctor would call me back but no one ever did. I had to get my own primary care doctor and get a referral to a specialist outside of their system. I had asked for a new doctor and they said they'd send me the paperwork … they never did. If you value you life …. GO ELSEWHEREZud Pataillion

Husband was having a stroke and was taken to the hospital by rescue around 10 am. Initially care was good. Immediately had CAT scans to confirm the stroke, blood was drawn, leads put on to monitor his heart, BP taken. When he was returned to ER after CAT scans we spoke with the ER doctor and resident Neurologist. However, after that no one looked in on him for hours, and he was not hooked back up to any monitors until I asked them to do so. He spent the entire night in the noisy, bright ER unable to get any rest. We are surprised he did not have a second stroke given the conditions! Around 9 am the next morning the Neurologist saw him, ordered an MRI and told them to find him a room immediately which they did. He was finally taken to a private room a full 24 hours after arrival, following the MRI, given something to eat, and was able to sleep. The nurses on the floor were attentive and his care was good from that point on. I understand that because of COVID hospitals are short staffed, but the ER at Fatima is awful. It should be closed until they can properly care for people in emergency situations.Nancy Thornton

Everyone was so kind starting from the sweet receptionist to my final interaction with Nurse Jim. I had foot surgery. Everyone was very professional from start to end. They all joked with me. We had laughs. They all made me feel very comfortable which helped very much with calming my anxiety. Surgery went well. One of the many good things was that I wasn't rushed out the door. Nurse Jim made sure I was ready to go before calling my mom. Unlike a past experience in a different hospital where I was placed in front of the door in a wheelchair while they unnecessarily called my mom multiple times asking how far is she. Fatima has an amazing ER staff. I was having diabetic issues I went in and they listened to what I had to say. They explained everything even better than my PCP would have. Very kind and understanding staff in the ER and they were very attentive. I cannot express how they helped me out so much. Last time I was here they were definitely understaffed. COVID epidemic was really kicking everyone in healthcare down. So my experience today I feel confident and much better getting treated here. The School of Continuing Education at Providence College is a great place to get another degree or get the degree you have been striving to get but the timing was never. The staff and faculty at SCE are always willing to lend a helping hand and guide you through the process of getting a degree! I have been a student worker since my Freshmen as an undergraduate student at PC (now I am a junior, shows you how much I love this office) and have taken courses through the School of Continuing Education and know how it is to be a staff member and a student and the amount of support in this office is tremendous!Janet Odufunade

Providence College School of Continuing Education is top notch. I've become acquainted with its administration, faculty members, and students over the past few years. Students rave about the programs and see great value in returning to school to better themselves at PC SCE. Its programs are best in class and the investment to go back is certainly affordable. Earning my teaching certification (MA and RI) through PC's School of Continuing Education was an incredible experience. Having attempted to pursue this certification elsewhere, I was really appreciative of PC's approach to working professionals. I would highly recommend Fitness Together!! My husband and I have seen amazing results even with our crazy hectic work schedules. I started at FT two years ago after deciding I needed to really get serious about being in shape, as my husband and I were talking about starting a family and I wanted to have a healthy pregnancy. I also needed the accountability of a regular schedule and trainer in order to stay committed and on track. I felt the personal, one-on-one attention from the very first time I walked in the door and have felt welcomed ever since. When I had a couple of injuries over the years, it was never an issue to modify the activities so that I could still (safely) get the most out of a workout. I started with one on one Training and eventually joined in the group classes as I adjusted my own personal goals. In 11/2020 during the COVID restrictions my mother had an accident and was hospitalized and released/ transferred to Evergreen House for short term rehab. She was there around 3 months before her passing. This was difficult times for our family since we were not able to see her and she was a quad suffering from long term MS so communicating was a challenge. I want to publicly thank Evergreen and their whole team for the way they handled Mom's care and end of transition. From admission, to the constant communication with us, to improving our communication with Mom via ipads and video chats we were able to see her progress and communicate with her daily. As the restrictions lifted we fortunately were able to be allowed in to see her face to face as her health turned for the worst. Mom and our family felt she was surrounded by truly caring people.Chris Kinzie

I am 3000 miles away from this facility. My dad is there now. According to him. The staff, food ,physical therapy and accommodations, have surpassed his expectations. I would like to thank the staff for working with him and encouraging ,his own , strong will for him to get fit. They staff seems attentive and does things like launder clothing that are dropped off before being delivered to the patient. I am taking a wild guess that they are trying to not become another Covid nightmare. I do not know about the other stories that rate as 1 star. I have heard nothing derogatory from my eye witness. 4 Stars because he is still there for 4 more days, The staff is in his corner, attentive, helpful, encouraging and like I said, he thought that the food was rather good.Andrew Condon

The place is very nice, however it takes forever for someone to come in when my husband pushes the call button, especially when he is sitting in body waste , for what now has been 40 minutes , and it is not the first time this has happened.. Another issues is when they do come in and they turn around to leave when my husband still is asking a question, disrespectful! I recently attended Coastal Career Academy in Fall River, MA. I attended the February – April evening classes. It’s a great school. They helped me accomplish a huge step in my life, a first step to a much brighter more promising future. I signed up for the Nursing Assistant program. It’s a 100 hour program, in which they provide everything necessary to get you ready for your state test. Signing up was easy. It’s a decently priced school. And one of the few in which are still open during this pandemic. Debbie owns and runs the school. She can be a bit scarce and hard to get a hold of but she’s honestly got so much going on with all the programs her school provides and getting them together for both attending and up coming students. My CNA instructor was very professional, great with communication and very thorough with teaching. She is willing to go the extra mile to help you with anything you need to learn or practice. She made sure myself and my class were well prepared for our state test. Coastal Career Academy provides you with both morning and evening classes which is great for anyone who needs a flexible schedule for attending Coastal Career Academy. With the variety of courses they offer you honestly can’t go wrong. I recently passed my state test on both my Clinical and Knowledge test. I couldn’t be more happier and I plan on coming back for a few more things like CPR and EKG. If you want to better your future, not spend your entire life savings and have a team that cares about you getting to the next step in life…choose Coastal Careers !!Brooke Richard

The school is very unprofessional and the director will rip you off. Although my teacher was kind and put a lot of effort into preparing us for our CNA state test, she was not trained or prepared to teach us because the director (Debbie) hired her on the day classes started and didn’t give her the proper material to teach us with. Who has students pay a down payment for a class that may or may not have a teacher? Many payments made by the students were lost and misplaced and the director tried making it seem like people owed more than what they actually did. She just cares about the money. The secretary even agreed that the director will rip you off. Our class complained about not feeling prepared for the state test to Debbie. She demanded a mandatory skills class for two days, only did it for one and said “we’ll be fine”. People who shouldn’t have failed, failed. I would recommend to anyone that they should go to a different school!!Carolina Cosme

If you are looking into local schools in the Fall River area for CNA, Phlebotomy, Medical Assistant etc. I highly recommend Coastal Career Academy, I was a little hesitant on going back to school but the owner and instructor Deb Gomes helped me break out of my shell and nipped my what if attitude in an instant. You don’t just learn from Deb or any of her instructors you become family. From dealing with stressed out students nervous about state exams, or taking time to help with job placement even after you have been certified they continue to be there. Also you cannot beat the prices for each program either, if you are considering a profession in healthcare Coastal Career is definitely a great place to start. My mother-in-law moved into Atria Harborhill in September. She has dementia so contact with family is incredibly important. They had no interest in trying to engage her in conversation with us. They said they would call when she was awake and never would. There were weeks that went by that we were not able to talk to her. When we would call and ask how she was doing they would just say "she's fine". They were only interested in talking to us when it involved talking about money . When she moved out into a new nursing facility her bedding was filthy as were some of her clothes. She was missing clothing and belongings and when we picked her up she had brand new shoes on with one shoe not laced and the other had no laces. When I called and spoke to Michela the incharge person she never apologized for this. PLEASE DO NOT SEND LOVED ONES HERE!!!!!Stephani Weber

Our experience with Atria Harbor Hill has been wonderful. I have two family members that are residents and have been for over two years. Communication has always been excellent between myself and the staff. My mom always tells me she has no complaints (and she is tough to please) which is reassuring as I often travel and am not readily available to meet her immediate needs. I also think the fees are reasonable especially for all of the activities, entertainment and trips (prior to Covid) they offer. My mother has had a wonderful experience at the Atria Harborhill for the past 3 years. Her room, the common areas, and grounds are beautiful and the food is delicious. To our family, however, the most important thing is the very caring and loving staff. We love that whenever we are on the phone with her, there is frequently a knock at her door from a staff member offering a tasty treat and asking how she is doing. As an RN and long time Hospice volunteer, I have been to many facilities and can confidently say that Atria Harborhill is the best!Elizabeth Riggs

I took the Womb Wellness program with Jasmin after months of desperately seeking help for PCOS. I relied heavily on my doctors (pcp, endocrinologist, gyno) for years to treat my symptoms. Avoid this for-profit school! Go to ANY other trade school.They canceled my student loans without my knowledge. I got pulled out of class several times in the beginning of my semester and was told to go to the bursars office, once I got there no one could tell me what was going on with my account and they told me to try the registrars office. Same thing, no one could tell me why I was getting pulled out of class or what was going on with my account. Everything looked fine they said. After about 3 weeks of that and getting zero info…I stopped getting pulled out of class and at the end of the semester I got a $5000+ bill. They've been suing me for it for the past 8 years. Everytime I've gone to court there's always atleast 10 other people there who had the same thing happen to them. Do yourself a favor and find an apprenticeship instead of wasting your money at this "school".Braeden M.

You wont get an engineering degree from here. You'll be a technician. You will never get an engineering degree from here. They don't have it on the website, you can look everywhere on it. There's no truth to the website. They overcharge you and don't teach you what youre paying for. For the price you pay, you should learn a lot more. I'm in my third term and have yet to do anything for my major. I had to wait three terms to be able to get A CLASS for my major. It's not worth it. I AM A STUDENT AND I AM TELLING YOU. DO NOT COME HERE. You're better off going to URI or any community college!! I hate it here.Heather Vias

I can not recommend enough not to go here. The administration is a joke, the amount of absolute asinine rules that are put on place make this place nearly unbearable. If you’re considering this school please put your money elsewhere. You’ll be charged $40,000 a year just to have a sub par education. Food is said to be good but is close to inedible. Internet speed gets slowed to a crawl on a daily basis. This place is beyond untransparent when it comes to any serious information that you need. Go somewhere else.Zander Knightick

My mother was in for approximately one week . I had to take her home. She had to wait for some one to help her go to the bathroom, no one came light on for hrs. She wet herself because of this at 9:30 pm and no one came in until 8:30 am to clean her. The is an every day issue. There has been one nursing aid Tracy she has been wonderful. As for others I can’t say have not seen many and they don’t converse with you if you do. As for dinner/ food . Some of the food is covered some no covering parading down long hallways to patience rooms. This is not sanitary! The social worker Lisa Hassell and the other girl in her office has been top of the line a true asset to the facility. Helpful, kind and knowledgeable! Dan at the front desk extremely helpful and is such a breathe of fresh air when you walk in or your leaving . The speech therapist was wonderful also along with physical therapy . I just have issues with nursing aids ! I have asked for a commode for my mother and after a week still nothing. Also asked for her to be showered multiple times and nothing. They did not even offer to was her feet when getting washed in bed . She had same socks on for 3 days. Until I notice and changed them myself. There is a lot of good to say about elmhurst but there are some major issues with one on one care. Also one last thing building is extremely clean …. Just wish they could give some better care for the elderly .Gina Salisbury

This review is based on my family's experience with the nursing home/memory care unit. I cant speak on the rehab department. My grandfather was transferred there from the hospital. When I visited he always seemed concerned about money kept saying they keep threatening to kick him out if he didn't pay. I ignored it thinking it was memory issue until I visited and he got a visit from financial office asking if I knew anything about his finances even though his health insurance was covering it. A few weeks later I took my 3 month old son to meet his great geandfather just to find he wasnt there. When I asked they did not tell me which I respected and understood. All they said was he was transferred out 5 days prior. So I called my mom for info since she was power of attorney and health care proxy and she didnt know anything other and took her 2 days to get info and found out he has been in an ER waiting for a room that whole time. When she got to the hospital she found bruises on him which she asked Elmhurst about to which they replied he had a fall which wasn't brought to her attention either. Also the staff on the unit was unfriendly every time I visited. If you are looking for a nursing home/memory care for you're loved one, please dont send them here.Matt Desrosiers
