A good school where you get out what you put in. Many trains stop within walking distance and buses as well. Just like any college, depending on your major, you will find good and bad professors. So always make use of the rate my professor website. I had a very pleasant experience. The administration was more competent than other schools I went to and my issues were always solved within a reasonable amount of time. The facilities I had to use for my major were in even better condition compared to some four year schools. The wifi coverage was good. Plenty of cafeterias with the best one being in the E building. Plenty of food trucks with different types of foods. Lots of seating areas with electrical ports. The class scheduling was workable with enough sections to fit almost everyone. Can't speak for any other major but it felt like that overall. They are always hiring new adjuncts so it's not the same professor teaching that one section you need all the time that everyone says is horrible. Always stay on top of your things if you want to have them resolved quickly. That's the part you play in your college years. The hand holding stops after High School. All I can say is, relax a little and have some fun. At the end of the day grades won't show the strength of your character after all is said and done.Mounia B

It seems like professors like the one I got Professor Arnold who acts likes she is going through the motions and don't there . i felt I waste my time and money which I paid out of pocket in her class and is thinking about leaving the college. She is one of the worst teachers/professors i ever had . I think cause it a community college a lot of them are mad cause they can't teach in a four year college through out of the community colleges in NY LaGuardia is the best . That being said she is the third professors that I had that sleeps walks through their class and I had another one that did something that weren't cool and I didn't show up for her class and never got an apology from her. Im currently in my last year at LaGuardia (majoring in business) and i have to say the Business department is full of AMAZING professors. Classes are really easy (most of them except accounting unless you're good at it) and the students are cool. I, personally, never talked to anyone or made any friends because I'm not an outgoing person. The school is constantly going under renovations and they just finished the new library and it looks AMAZING, as if it was a library from an ivy league. Food isn't that great but what do you expect, its school food [not free of course]. My overall education received I will give a 5 star. But as for respect for alumni and help available to them I give 1 star. I completed my b.s in 3 and a half years, I got a scholarship for 8,000. I decided to attend because my best friend was attending and enjoyed the school. I also did not want to attend a CUNY, I wanted to try a private college, but not too expensive. My education received was great, the professors were friendly and well educated as well as had expierence in their related field. BUT I have to take a required course for a masters degree program, I would prefer to take it as SFC, so I ask if the terrier come home program applies and they say NO because I am not pursuing another degree. Well, I’m sorry you don’t provide my graduate program. CUNY wants to charge me 2,200 for one class, I asked if SFC could lower the rate since I graduate there and they made about 20,000 off of my degree? They flat out said no, unless I’m pursuing another degree and would not discount the rate of 860 per credit which is about 400 more than CUNY. They wouldn’t discount me anything AT ALL lol. I would never even consider taking a masters degree program, certification or any other course at this school again. It was very uncooth and disrespectful to not offer any discount especially seeing as they made an immense amount of money off of me. I graduate cum laude and would have attended their graduate school but they offer 3 limited programs with a crazy tuition. Save your money and go to a CUNY for your masters. It’s okay for a undergraduate program but masters programs are limited and the amount they charge for the quality for care and respect for students is minimal. When I went the lobby and cafeteria area had classroom chairs and it looked awful, now it’s all done up and amazing looking lol is that what the extra charge is for ? I would have considered paying a bit extra but the way the man replied via email was kind of snark and annoying. You think they would treat alumni better. Oh well, whatever. They raised the tuition at lease 5,000 bucks in the 3 years I was there and if I’d known that previously I would have saved myself the student debt and went to a CUNY 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ Professors get 5 stars. I am going to be a Sophomore this year and I couldn't be happier with the school. All the faculty and staff made the transition from high school to college very smooth. The faculty and staff care about how your are doing both academically and personally. From the minute I stepped through the door at my open house, I was automatically welcomed with open arms to the St. Francis College family. Everyone from the students to the faculty members are friendly as well, it is really easy to find a solid group of people who will be by your side for a long time. Its also the perfect school for students who want to be highly involved on campus. There are lots of opportunities from department jobs, to research assistants, to clubs and sports teams. I myself am a member of two of their 21 NCAA Division 1 teams, as well as a handful of other clubs and organizations on campus, from Student Government to the Latin American Society. This is the perfect school for someone who wants to be an individual and find themselves, rather than just be one of a few thousand. By spending a day at St. Francis College, I immediately felt a strong connection with the school and everybody in it. I have never felt such an amazing vibe like this ever before. I took Acting & Gymnastics classes growing up as a kid @ KCC; along with taking other performing arts enrichment classes @ Brooklyn College also while growing up, although Brooklyn College wasn't affiliated with my high school like KCC was. KCC has a great campus for a CUNY two-year college (one of the nicest in the CUNY system being right on Manhattan Beach) and is also the partner CUNY institute with my High School alma mater, Edward R. Murrow whom it operates the CollegeNow! program with. I spent my Junior and Senior years at Murrow taking KCC college-level courses taught by both Murrow faculty, and visiting KCC faculty (at Murrow) as well as commuting to the KCC campus from Murrow for additional classes that could only be taught on-site @ the KCC campus. It was EXTREMELY academically enriching to be able to enjoy a college level curriculum whilst still being in High School; and that was due directly to KCC's collaboration with my high school. My GPA went up as a result of the CollegeNow! program during my last two years at Murrow as did my SAT scores. I have KCC to thank for that. 👍👏👏👏👏Ben Schaeffer

Kingsborough CC has a very nice entertainment program, well-run and well-sited, with both indoor and outdoor venues. This year's 4-part post-pandemic return to their July outdoor series has been a real winner for the 3 weeks of it so far, with decent weather enhancing the winning combination. Performers have commented on how well-received they are when they come to perform there, from an enthusiastic staff that really respects their art, to receptive audiences. That reputation has allowed audiences to see a number of top-notch acts more than once there, as the artists appreciate that respectful treatment. There have been other events there, all of which were interrupted by COVID since it came around, so there will be needed time to get those back on track. There are cautionary protocols in place even now: those attending must provide proof of vaccination, with masks optional. Not sure of masking will or will not be required once the indoor events resume, but it certainly appears that the staff has kept up-to-date with everything necessary.N H Tanner

I went to Nyack College in the city for one year and switched to a CUNY school after as I felt the quality of education did not match the HIGH costs. I remember when I was first applying to the school, I was so nervous about taking out such high loan amounts to pay for one year. I kept communicating this to the admissions person, but he kept telling me that no one could take away my education and convinced me to take the loans. Some staff are great and really care about the education they are providing. Others just read off a powerpoint and have no interest except for a paycheck. Pace is expensive, doesn't help the students getting internships and when the students get one on their own, Pace takes the credit. After graduating, the students don't get a job. One of their alumni just got a good job and due to she owes money, they don't give her transcripts and are retaining her title. Is not possible for Pace to help when the students really need help? Additionally, the lack of diversity (granted, because of how this is a private school) is also lacking. As an RCC graduate of 2015 I can say this was a second home for me. I had the best professors, a very kind advisor who helped me so much through it all. I had an amazing job on campus I absolutely loved, it helped me get involved more with school events and get out of my shy shell ☺️. This student and her entire family caught COVID and this pathetic excuse of a doctor/professor compared her sickness to her grandfathers surgery. I really can’t explain what I went through with the staff, so unprofessional and the attitude is horrible I always try to be as nice as possible but the way they treat people is awful. They literally screamed at my mom who does not speak any English for not having her vaccine card with her although she had picture of the vaccine but her phone was dead they yelled at her and did not try to help her enter the building at all. Once I came and approach them they was talking to me with awful attitude and yelling at me!!!!! although I respect the policy but they always could help in situation like this making everything 10X harder and unprofessional behaviour. If I could, I would easily give York a ZERO RATING! NOTHING against the professors I’ve come across, but the school, policy and registrar/bursar staff and policy are ridiculous. I have been charged, during the pandemic I might add FULL. I clearly withdrew from summer classes and was literally ONE day passed the 100% refund date. After, I spoke continuously with bursar who kept sending me back to registrar. ALL professors assisted in submitting documentation showing I DID NOT CONTINUE in the ONLINE courses. Although I submitted required, and accurate paperwork documenting the WHY I could not complete the summer session, this greedy school is charging me ONE HUNDRED PERCENT for courses that their own records reflect that u withdrew from. Again, let me reiterate this was at the time of a Pandemic. I am now not able to register or do anything until this balance is paid. I think this school is deplorable, too much of the staff is unprofessional and not helpful At all! They’re dismissive and there is never any considerations or flexibility offered. If you can, avoid this school. Majority of the staff are unprofessional, lazy and do not seem to take their job seriously. Imagine emailing your professor and days, or even up to week plus passes by with no response. Lovely campus and easily seen from the street. The school is close to public transportation. The campus houses a high school and an elementary school. The grounds can use some work and some more public art installations. The cemetery is gated but plenty of history ardorns the head stones. The indoor exhibit of The Tuskegee Airmen is worth visiting the campus. The stundent art galley is the best. Ask security for accessibility for people with disabilities. Security at the gate will ask of I. D. He is very pleasant and awesome with directions. Most staff/faculty are helpful too. Better to get assistance from the more experienced staff. As F-1 visa international student, I would say that ASA College is a great place for our educational and career goals. Professors are responsive and very collaborative as well as helpful. During my education in ASA College I was able to make friends with students from different parts of world. The most of them are my lifetime friends now. Classes are not too big. Therefore, providing a tremendous opportunity to study and excel your knowledge and/or skills. With a respectable teacher-to-student ratio, significant public and private funding, and a central location in New York City, the learning experience has been covered by many publications and studied by experts. However, BMCC also suffers from a large rise in remedial education, lack of freshman retention, and overcrowding. Due to its larger base of capital compared to most other two-year colleges, expansion of new campuses during the rebuilding of Fiterman Hall was possible. Several trailers are still used as classrooms to this day in order to help expand capacity. Internal programs have also been created or expanded to help with academic advisement, provide online access for registration, transferring to other colleges, and job placement. Just, no. I can't take it anymore. I've tried to explain my situation to this school multiple times, and I'm left to struggle on my own. I am starving, housing insecure, financially unstable, and unable to make ot to class or properly study because of financial struggle, inability to be alone a place quiet to study because they won't house, and depression. In the end they want to fail you out so you can pay them fees later, I guarantee. I'lll gladly take my review down if it's actually a thing they decide they really want to help me with, only after I have been actually helped, and not as in, money grant to help my situation I never recieve, or new housing program email I apply for and am swiftly rejected because I am not enrolled just enough just yet due to circumstances that are once again not entirely my fault because when I applied here I intended to be taking 16 credits not 7. WORST.SCHOOL.EVER!! I hope they close down for good VERY SOON! There's no motivation or inspiration at all in this school whatsoever. The counselors and teachers are horrendous!! For every 5 teachers there, only 1 teacher is decent! They hold back their students far too long from achieving their true potential and don't even get me started on the atrocious time consuming and full of adversity enrollment process!! If you're still stuck taking a remedial/non credit class; instead of being able to register online LIKE IT SHOULD BE FOR EVERY STUDENT, you're instead forced to go all the way to Valhalla to register for classes EVERY semester until you've passed ALL their pointless non credited classes! Very excruciating and appalling for any student! Their counselors are always putting down students, not one can potentially uplift you when it comes to succeeding in school. Miserable place. Professors don’t care. They have people who don’t speak English teaching the math department. Those in the financial building are miserable, uninformative and rude. Nobody communicates!! Financial Tells you one thing and the counselors say something different. Totally unorganized and made my college experience a miserable one. They prioritize minorities and even questioned me on why I’m not on financial aid. Teachers WILL fail you if you don’t agree with their POLITICAL views. I was pretty skeptical about going back to school during this plandemic and now that I’m back in school, I wish I would’ve saved my money. The website says lab classes will be conducted online but it’s actually remote. If you want to pay full tuition for a partial education, then this is the place for you. The people who work in the administrative building specifically the Bursar’s office don’t care. The administrative building is physically closed so the only way to communicate is via email. You can find everything you want there, an excellent stuff who works hard and is always waiting for you, a sophisticated technology, using up different sources to make you succeed, a big stuff helping out students to finds jobs and internships, They will do everything to motivate you and prepare you for your future success. Let me start sharing me experience with you: I come from a small country from Europe, where we have a completely different system than here that seems to be a completely stress-free. My English level was not so good, and I still find it difficulty sometimes, but it was not a obstetrical for me at all, because all the professors helped me. And I am definitely glad for all the professors that I had, for 19 of them (5 quarters until now), they are all gorgeous. They never stop telling their student to use them as much as possible. They are respectful, patient, helpful, easy to understand, and they will try everything and every method for the student to succeed, after that is up to the students. If you do what the professors tell you to do you'll be fine, and that's what I and all my friends do. And we enjoy time in the class, we work in group, we discuss and bring new topics in class related with the lectures. And what is the beauty of Berkeley College is the diversity that it has. I consider myself lucky to have peers form different part of the world, because in an easy way help me to learn more about what's going around and try to understand other cultures too, thing that is very important if you live in a city as New York. Men lie, women lie, numbers don't; Berkeley College is one of the worst college in America. According to National Center for Education Statistics, the retention rate is 64 percent and the graduation rate is 30 percent. When people see these type of statistics, many people like to blame the students however in Berkeley College’s case, it’s not the students fault, it’s the school’s fault. One of the problems with Berkeley College is the financial aid. When you first come to Berkeley College, they promise you that you will graduate in 3 years however when you have to deal with the Financial aid it’s nearly impossible. Berkeley College operates on a Quarter System. And because Berkeley College operates on a Quarter system, the government can’t fund every quarter like Summer Quarter. This is a problem because students are force to pay large amount of money out of pocket. And if you can’t afford it, you have no choose but to drop the quarter and this will push back you graduation date. Berkeley College is so expensive and such a waste of money. If you’re coming from high school or another college, don't waste your money and your time. This school is not worth the tuition money you have to pay every year. You pay 30,000 plus (about $7,800 each Quarter) in tuition and with the new book policy, you will be forced to pay $300 out-of-pocket for books you will never use each Quarter. Word of advice, if you are looking for a college look somewhere else. If not be prepared to work at McDonald with a Bachelor or Associate degree.Andrew Owens

I had the worse college applying experience. This is for the Paramus NJ Campus. I was a prospective student. Unfortunately, I’m on temporary disability for now so I figured “why not go back to school to pursue my dreams?!”. Well, Berkeley admissions gave me a HORRIBLE experience. They stopped following up with me unlike other universities I applied to. No one knew what was going on in my admissions process. I gave this college money that THEY knew I didn’t have because of my disability because I wanted to attend. All of that for these fools to tell me they’re only accepting a portion of the credits I took for my associates degree. I am going to attend a prestigious university that knows what they’re doing and how to handle their prospective students. Putting effort into this college was WORTHLESS!!! Now a month later after my horrible experience the director of admissions Janine contacts me to stand up for her poor excuse of a staffs behavior. She called to say “sorry”. What kind of BS is that?! Got my Master in Public Administration from Wagner Graduate School of Public Affairs in 1985. Not an ounce of financial aid – It was my one-hundred percent self-paid onus. Even with full-time work for the duration of full-time study, it was easier than where my Bachelor of Arts was from: Binghamton. Long story short, the Public and nonprofits sector didn't want me; but, made some successes in the Corporate world in Banking, Insurance, followed by Investment Brokerage. My point ? I love this school.. The staff is super friendly, all the teachers know who you are and want you to succeed… I graduated the LPN program and I loved all the nursing teachers. They are always there if you have a question and they want you to succeed. The director dr. Millenbach was there for me every time I came into her office with a problem, she immediately stop what she was doing to talk to me and help me however she could. I passed by boards the first just like almost everyone in my class.. They prepared us very well for the boards.. I am also employed less than 2 months after graduation. Hunter Business School helped me find a career that not only changed my life, but completely fell in love with. Covid was a blessing in disguise for me, and really made me evaluate how I'm going to change my life for the better. With being let go from my mundane office job, this was my opportunity to find a not only a stable career, but something rewarding as well. When the idea of radiography came up, I thought "This could be something I can do" and started researching school all around Long Island. HBS landed as my #1 choice. This program was not only affordable, but I would've started my career a whole year later if I attended the program at NCC. I would've been stuck taking prerequisite classes, since my college credits were more than 10 years old. With HBS, it didn't matter how long I had been out of school. I was given the same opportunity whether I was straight out of high school or changing careers later in life. Not only that, but with the accelerated program, I graduated before other schools were done and that gave me a head-start on finding a job. Last week I graduated from the Radiologic Technologist program, and I already have two dream jobs waiting for me. Today I passed my registry for my license, and I couldn't have done with without the dedicated staff at HBS. While the courses were content heavy, they made everything so clear and easy to learn, and were there for us when we needed the extra help. Attending this school has saved my life. It gave me purpose. The program showed me that I’m much stronger than I thought! I graduated in February 2021 from the x-ray technologist program. The faculty is amazing and very motivating. Many times I felt like the work was too hard, but I didn’t give up, and the teachers (especially Abe) really helped to keep me focused on my goals. So many doors have opened up for me since I graduated from the program. What’s even better is that the school helps you find a job! I graduated from NCC and John Jay prior to attending this school, and neither one of those institutions helped me get a job. In addition, the teachers at the other universities were not nearly as helpful and attentive compared to the teachers at Hunter business school. If it wasn’t for this program and all the amazing things it offers, I truly do not know where I would be today! I am eternally grateful for this school and their programs. Looking back, I have nothing but positive memories here. It was a wonderful learning experience! Abe is the best teacher ever. I’ve been attending Hunter business school Xray tech program for almost a year and I can honestly say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Usually Xray programs are 24 months, Hunters is 16 months(shorter but fast paced)5 days a week so it’s very time consuming. You need to be 100% dedicated and contribute most of your days studying BUT it’s so worth it at the end! Being out of school for a few years it was nerve wrecking to get into the flow of things, but because of the instructors(Mr.Abe, Mrs. Aggey, & Mrs. Joy) they continuously motivate you to be an amazing tech. Because of my lovely instructors they have molded me into a great tech making sure to be tedious to little details in this field and providing excellent care for future patients. I can’t thank Mr. Abe enough for giving me this opportunity and believing in me! Hunter has changed my life and has made me gain such a great career path and a new RAD TECH family ! I only gave this place 1 star because there are a few good nurses and doctors. The majority of the time you are there, they are talking. I could literally hear them outside of my room and I was calling for help and no one came. Then one nurse reprimands me because I went to the bathroom without help! It took my mom who is a doctor, to see that the IV was in my tissue and not the vein. Mind you, this was after 2 days of admission. My body was full of black and blues from them either not being able to find my vein, or jabbing a needle in me so that I don’t form a blood clot. Even where the surgery was performed, I have huge bruises which indicates everything was quick and forceful. When I went to use the bathroom, my roommate had blood in her stools; no one removed it for hours. At one point, I had a nurse yell at me for not wearing a mask; mind you she just walked into her shift and had no mask on. Instead of being a human and getting a mask for me and HER; she announces that I have no mask and only grabs one for herself. I mean I literally had to pretend I was doing better than I was to get out of there. Never again!Golda Aly

The worst hospital experience I have ever had. I just gave birth yesterday and although the delivery team was great once I was transferred to a private room (that I paid $630 for) the gyn team essentially disregarded me. I asked to be seen prior to discharge because of a clinical issue that I was concerned about. They waited 6 hours to come and see me then sent a 1st yr resident to see me. 30 mins later they didn't even bother speaking with me again but instead sent the nurse to tell me there was nothing to do. I am very disappointed in the care recieved and will never be returning. I am literally going to pick up supplies now to handle my condition on my own as I am a healthcare provider for over 12 yrs and can do a better job than they have. Absolutely unacceptable. Would not recommend having your baby here.marley pol

So we paid $600 a night for a private room….. as you can see from the photos, toilet paper roll was broken. Maintenance came to fix and it fell off again. A fish smell was very apparent by the mobile IV unit, NOTHING looked sanitized or clean. The lower wall looks like something spilled down the wall like splatter. I would expect this maybe at a cheap roadside motel. Oh and had to request new gowns and towels 4 times before it was delivered. Let’s not talk about the food! Just unacceptable. $600 per night so far times 3 nights. Awful. I visited My husband and now I feel like I need to sanitize myself after I was there! That’s not ok. I want to smell alcohol and or Clorox the smell of clean.Leslie Harris Steinman

Dr. V is most talented teacher at school giving incredible treatments. I have lots of issues with knees, and after treatments is almost like I never even had any pain in my knees for four years. My knees have lots going on including torn meniscus in both sides & it’s only one tiny thing along other complications with my knees. Horrible rude staff. Don’t care about your education but care if you’re wearing their uniform or not. Sabrina is very unorganized and I didn’t have any good experiences with her. Most if not all of my class mates hated their time there because staff and teachers are USELESS. I wouldn’t be surprised if the good reviews on here were fake because in my whole year there i never once heard anyone say anything good about this school. I graduated March,2022 from the Medical assistant program and start my career at Brookdale hospital this month 5/2022; this certificate and experience was so worth it! So many people were helpful but those who stood out most to me were Mr. Sheppard , Dr. Yasir, Dr. Thomas, Mr Soto, and Mrs. Keller these people were amazingly warm and helpful yet stern when needed and for your learning experience.
