Okay school but professors suck! Good learning platform with Blackboard (easy to use & navigate). Professors are very picky & strict with grading. They act like they are from Harvard. Faculty is not professional & highly rude. They don't care about you learning or helping you succeed. Rather expect you to fail. Lots of errors & typos on quizzes. No live or recorded lectures. Didn't learn much. Spend the extra money & attend brick & mortar or better online school to get a job.Oliver

I highly recommend Hodges University! I enrolled in the fast track BS degree with 10 classes left to finish in Interdisciplinary Studies. I graduated 18 months later! All of my teachers were phenomenal and my counselor reached out to me at the beginning of each semester to enroll me in the correct classes to finish my degree program as quickly as possible. He ensures that everyone is able to grasp and learn the information by using real world examples and repeating the information throughout the session along with demonstrating on the practice mannequin. This was the most fun and engaging CPR class I've ever been part off. The instructor is very knowledgeable and makes it easy to digest all the information by keeping it interesting throughout the class. Rasmussen has really given me a second chance at hope. I started this journey not truly believing that I could do this. Fate matched me with Nicole M as my initial advisor and I'd be lying if I said her help provided motivation and confidence to know I can do this. She was there every step of the way to guide to my next steps and would even stay on the phone with me to make sure I'd accomplish certain tasks before the deadline. I was so moved by her I persuaded my two sisters to enroll as well and she helped get them acclimated as well. I am now in the nursing program and am given a second chance at life to make something of myself and for that I am eternally grateful. My mother also is an alumni of rasmussen, so to know that I'll be abstaining my nursing degree in the very same school my mother went to is the icing on the cake. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think after three kids and a full-time job, I would be able to start school again in my 30s, and Rasmussen University, with its fantastic support team, has been there every step of the way for me through the process. I have been able to enroll in a nursing program where it's been eight months now, and I have pretty much finished all my prereqs in the convenience of my home. As others have mentioned the facility is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. My mother recently spent a month or so there in the memory care unit. Due to covid restrictions we could only visit in a designated social room and not her own room. This wasn't an issue at all but now that she is home we have discovered she is missing several items of clothing as we were not allowed to pack her belongings on move out (but we were able to unpack and get her settled in on her first day). We knew her stay would be temporary and sent her with approx 10 outfits as we were told laundry is done weekly for each resident (and all loads are separated by resident). She is missing 5 shirts and 4 pairs of pants, a pajama set and socks. To make matters worse she received underwear that didn't belong to her. Because of her condition she is not able to communicate so she would not have been able to notify someone if things were missing. My mom's husband has called a few times to ask about the missing items but hasn't been able to reach anyone.Alison Wiest

We are so glad we found the Atrium at Liberty Park for our mother. This has been an extremely difficult few months for everyone but especially for Mom as she struggles with advancing dementia. Moved mom over a year ago from High Point to Atrium at Liberty Park Assisted Living. She's so happy, I couldn't be happier about my decision. With all the wonderful people in charge and the fantastic staff, all of her needs are met and I never have to worry. Even the decor throughout is gorgeous. She's no longer lonely and loves her apartment. The dinning, housekeeping and all of the amenities are top notch. They really care about my mom and accommodate all of her needs.Debra Brennan

We really enjoy helping our students. We are so glad that we can make a difference in our community. We understand that every student might have a different perspective of our school. However, we encourage you to call and experience it for yourself. Like every schools, we have cancellation and drop out policies and the students who have posted the bad reviews are student who frequently either failed to follow those policies or have been dismissed due to misconduct. Also, lately we have been getting bad reviews from some students who were denied federal fundings such as grants due to their own lack, but feels like the school is responsible for it. We do not issue government subsidies, we only refer students. The only issue we recently encountered was Phlebotomy employment and this issue has been resolved to our knowledge. As of right now, we have a full administration staff ready to assist anyone with interest in our programs. We also have an 87% Medical Assistant placement rate. There are two side to every story and we can assure you that some of the claims from everyone on here aren't accurate and some never even attended school with us and getting us confused with another local technical school with a similar name. Please call our admission department to discuss your future career with us. We are friendly, helpful and dedicated to our students success. I recently completed the Phlebotomy/EKG program March 2021. Zeal tech is very professional and informative from the first phone call, to the admission process to the actual classes itself. I couldn’t have joined a better school! I would especially like to give recognition to my instructors Ms. Nadia. She went above and beyond not only for myself but also for a handful of students who wanted and/or needed the help. She will literally stay after class every day and help us study for exams, update our resumes and also prepped us with interview questions (and answers) ensuring that we were all ready and prepared for what’s to come next. If I could take both classes all over again, I would just to be in Ms Nadia classroom once again. I completed the Phlebotomy program at SWVT, and it was the best decision of my life so far. I've been a stay at home mom for the past 3 years, and im generally a very nervous person ,so school was a bit nerve wracking for me. ABM university is #1 , I really enjoy coming to class every week. The professor is such and amazing human being, she’s very patient and take her time to teach us and make sure we understand everything. She has a heart of gold and shows sympathy towards others. I was in the practical nursing department. I had an instructor named Dawn. She never taught us any clinical skills in the lab or in the hospital. She kept talking about weddings and what she thought we thought about weddings. I just now looked her name up eight years later and realize she is a wedding decorator. She was decorating weddings instead of teaching us what we needed to do and she gave us all F’s on our clinicals andSaid don’t worry you have to have an F at first and then it’ll turn into an A. I disagree. All of her students failed exam after exam and I got all A’s and B’s. I began to use the knowledge I learned in the textbook at the hospital. On a couple of floors employees stated “she is awesome. She will succeed.” Dawn wanted to understand why they felt that way. They said all of your students play on their phones but her. She is trying nursing skills. It is a mess. I was thrown out for being late a few times which is understandable however they said I did not have my clinical hours when Dawn for the first month decided that she wanted us to only do clinicals. I had forgotten this detail. They said they had to throw me out because I didn’t have clinical hours when she decided she want didn’t want to do class at all. Dawn Wanted us to only do clinicals for the first eight weeks so I had not missed clinical hours. I really had because Don sat on her computer the whole time. She ended up getting me kicked out and she did not teach anyone anything I hope she’s not still teaching there. She did not even know what MMHG means. Millimeters of mercury. The pressure in our bodies is tested by the way mercury moves. She did not know anything at all and did not care and sat in the hospitals on her computer designing weddings. She never taught us a single clinical skills. She began with 20 students or something like that and ended up with three or four. I am so disappointed as this was my last government grant I could have. I went to SCF and i was given such amazing knowledge in a short amount of time. If Dawn Was terminated I would like to have another chance at the nursing program. Thank you. I am disgusted and hunted this whole time. I was kicked out of the program for a few absences when I did way more clinical hours and exhausted myself so she could sit on her computer. I was too emotionally overwhelmed to let them know hey we did clinicals for 8 to 10 weeks straight because she didn’t like teaching the book. I assume that was because she was called out for her wrong information several times by me and one other woman. No, that’s probably not true. She wanted to sit on her computer and develop her business rather than teach us how to do clinical skills.Bridgette Bianchi

My son was the first class to graduate from the Paramedic Program. He and a few of his friends who had just graduated from the local fire academy were planning to attend a different Paramedic Program however they were constantly being approached by the dept head/instructor of the program at CTC to attend her very first class. Although they were concerned that this was the very first class, they were promised that the program was going to be accredited within a year and that they would be able to take their Paramedic anywhere after passing the National Registry Exam! This we just learned is completely FALSE! My son passed the state exam, worked for 1.5 yrs in the field, just took the National Exam and passed only to learn that the school has not been accredited and has not started the process! We relocated back home to MA shortly after passing his National Exam. 2 very amazing Fire Depts offered him positions which he had to decline after learning his certification is worth nothing outside of the State of FL!!! I am sickened to think of the time and money lost. People that choose this career put the lives of others first. They are brave heroes! In this time when we need more first responders, my son can’t practice! Shame on this school! Shame on the depth head! Please look into this program before committing! You never know where life takes you and you certainly don’t want to be left having do the program all over again!Cherie Fickett

The campus is very convoluted they have the technical college they have the County Public School office they have the main campus they have modular units the buildings are kind of poorly labeled I'm not really sure I'm trying to find the Welcome Center and I'm having a hard time signs that give you directions our place to put their very spaced out and I'm not putting down the school as a whole cuz I don't know the actual School itself but I know I've been turned around twice by the sign maybe it's just me not usually bad with directions but overall the campus Little Messi I've seen some trash grasses and cut good and I know being a technical school there's definitely some kids that can bust out the lawn mowers and weed wackers pressure washers I see some moldy stuff everywhere and being a technical school I know these kids to do it for free but other than that the front of the building looks cool I like the layout and I like the overall shapes and Contours the trees with the Weeping moss and it looks very Floridamatthew greeenwood

When my husband Walt and I decided we wanted to take the stress out of our life and move to a Senior Independent Living facility we pretty much thought we would go to Gulf Coast Village since my mom had been here when it was only 2 years old and it was such a wonderful experience for her and us. But our only child lived in Texas and wanted us to move to out there. So we took a trip to visit her and toured 4 or 5 of the facilities in the area. While it was close to her and they were all new and beautiful but not in the weather we had gotten used to in SW Florida and we felt that perhaps being closer to her could wait until only one of us was alive. While sad, she understood how we felt but asked that we explore other newer facilities in our area to make sure that Gulf Coast Village was the right one for us. While we had been attending many of the social gatherings at Gulf Coast Village, met residents and staff and felt right at home we honored her request. We visited 4 or 5 of the local facilities that were newer and met the people who were marketing them. All very nice people and lovely facilities but not all were "Forever Care" and they all had such a "clinical" feel to them. While they were newer they lacked the "I am home" feeling that the wooded campus of Gulf Coast Village had. At that point we were sold. It was not easy to make such a drastic move but once settled in we felt like we were living on a cruise ship. Now while that was impressive, it is nothing compared to the feeling of living in a lovely little section of a wonderful mansion with so many things to do and with so many others who are sharing the experience. And even that… is nothing compared to living in a place with staff that treats you with love and patience as though you are family. We truly wish we had done this 5 years ago when we were younger instead of waiting. It would have been so much easier. But thankfully we did do it and turns out when all factors are considered such as food, entertainment, maintenance etc….it is less money monthly to live here in our little piece of heaven. I am sad that I had to leave even 1 star. I spent 34 days in this facility and I have to say it was the worst experience of my life. 9 I have never left a bad review but I feel compelled as far as this place is concerned. The food was terrible and the meals were always cold. The entire time I was there I think I had 1 warm meal. They moved me 3 times I had to wait for the 2hrs the 2nd time while they cleaned and sanitized a room for me. Well guess what the room they gave me was filthy, shoes stuck to the floor and bugs were running rampant. It had not been cleaned. It was so disgusting that my physical therapist cleaned the floor with wet paper towels. I was in that room for 2 weeks and they never cleaned it. Also my call button did not work there were times I had to wait a long time for help to the bathroom. I tested positive for covid after 3 weeks because they moved the patients with covid right next door to me. They hung a curtain in the hallway to keep the covid germs away, what a joke. Half of the time the nurses and CVNs didn't wear the proper garments to enter my room. I even had a nurse come mto my room.with no gloves,no mask, and no paper gown. l called management nearly every day to no avail. Lynn DavisLynn Davis

How does one manage a pandemic? Let me tell you how Gulf Coast Village does it. They do it by caring. Every hour of every day they care by providing us with meals in our apartments, activities we can do either by ourselves or in small groups well spaced apart, shopping at stores for us, taking us to our doctor appointments, and providing for those with special needs. For each of these actions, the well trained staff demonstrate remarkable patience, skill, and humor. The dining selections offered in our weekly menu show the imagination and talent in our kitchen. Although the servings are boxed, each item is carefully prepared, and the proof is in the tasting. The meals are distributed by the dining room servers to our door where we make our selection for the day. They may suggest and offer help as well as recommendations, but maintain the strict discipline required for our isolation. With everyone wearing a face mask, recognition of our servers is difficult. I want to tell them all how much I appreciate what they, and the entire staff, are doing to make us comfortable and safe during this seriously troubling epidemic. May God bless them!.Stuart Hodes

Almost done with my Medical Assisting Program and every teacher I have had has gone above and beyond for me and helping me when I'm struggling with my studies… If anyone has anything bad to say about this school, it's because of their own personal issues of why they did not succeed at this school. I am in my last class and am graduating with straight A's! If you put in the time and effort to study and be here, then there is no reason to not succeed and if you didn't do those things, then you are 100% responsible for your failures, not the teachers, not this school. This school is great! I'm not even done and I've already had interview offers and the women in career services help you ready yourself for interviews, help you create your resume and help with setting up interviews, they even provide nice clothes for you if you can not afford to buy your own! This school goes above and beyond for the students here. The accept financial aide and stupdent loans AND THEY ARE ACCREDITED!!!! Not as expensive as most schools! I love this school! I have not had one bad experience with the teachers or any of the staff. When I first came to the school to check it out I was super nervous, but they walked me through the whole campus showing me all the classrooms and explaining how everything goes. Once I saw all of that I was so excited to get started!!! I would totally recommend this college for anyone who’s looking to further their career. OKAY. Despite all previous negative comments, I'm having a great experience and as far as caring goes.. teachers wont care for you if you wont care for your work. That's just how it goes. This isn't high school its college. And for more generalized information this school was South West Florida College until it was bought out by a private institution and then was name Southern Technical College. So yes the price is more, its what you expect if you'd put your child in a private school; it would be more extra. So I'm sorry I do not agree with any comments. Financial representatives were amazing and still continue to be. And personally my teachers where there for me. They were always very lenient and gave credit when its due. This facility was way better than the last one. It is not for people wanting a long stay which worked great for us. My mom had 3 hours of therapy a day and a great team. For a long time I was searching to find a Foot & Nail training course in which will satisfy the requirements wanted by national certification organization to take the national exam. I got in touch with WOCNCB organization to make sure that this course is acceptable. As per the WOCNCB organization director, this foot care course is acceptable and meets all the requirements to pursue the nationally recognized Certified Foot Care Nurse (CFCN) credential. Formerly known as Edison College, Florida Southwestern State College will only waste your life away. I earned two degrees from this institution thinking it'd help me land a job beyond a cashier position and it didn't do anything for me. Currently, I'm taking orders from goofy people with GEDs at my workplace (BTW, they're kids who are fifteen years younger). The only fifty thousand dollar a year jobs that have been offered to me were from pyramid schemes and scam MLM corporations. Go into the Army instead, they'll provide you with a decent career and you'll be taken care of. One other thing I may add is there's constant unnecessary construction on this campus because the administration rather waste its money on that instead of job-placement programs that would be beneficial for the students. * This college's main goal is to keep the student as a student for as long as possible. What I mean by this is that they will force you to take remedial courses, even though you don't need to take them. So when you finally receive your degree, your skills and education will be outdated thus putting you in the situation of returning to college–they make more money. Then the next situation turns out that you're already too old and unemployable and the next generation has taken over, working and prospering.Michal Mack

I'm thankful we have a local college that continues to make itself better with each year. I'm receiving my AA in 3 credits and I have nothing but outstanding things to say about this school. My advisor has always been incredibly attentive to my needs, even down to offering book recommendations within my future major. I never feel rushed or unwanted. Not all professors or experiences will be great for everyone; however, I'm thankful to say all of mine have. The campus is also quiet and beautiful to hang around.Sarah A

They treat students in the adult class as if they are in the high school class. Front desk women try to force their opinions on you instead of letting you make your own. The financial aide women informed me that I would not be able to receive financial assistance because of my immigration status WHICH WAS A LIE !! They have the link on the website proving her wrong on the site just click on the section for financial assistance they have a lot of scholarships for immigrants and non immigrants (first major red flag) I did not learn my lesson there because I was eager to attend school and I actually had to hunt for a scholarship on my own and received one.Tabe teacher is very rude. They act as if they are paying you to attend the school. Cape Coral tech is worth the extra time in driving. Lpn teacher gives out test that have nothing to do with the study guide. I went there for about a year, the first red flag to me was that this school didn’t even know who was supposed to be in what class the first day, then when you enroll and pay your tuition they charge you 1,000 for brand new tools and out of a class of 22 I was the only person out of all the students that were in AST to get dirty and old used tools that they charged me for, the instructors pick favorites along with the fact that I felt very forgotten about because of negligence by the staff. It was probably my worst experience out of any school I’ve been to along with the fact that they are so hard on attendance but you just sit around and look at a wall all day they don’t provide any work for the class all of our lifts were usually taken by the favorites who have been working on their project cars for months and months on end and when you ask the instructor for a lift for an oil change they look at you and walk the other way.adamyoung453

A lot of programs to offer I have a wonderful instructor ! Mr. Eugene is and amazing and intelligent patient and understanding he is phenomenal and his classes are fun and educational. Sometimes there’s one bad seed in a bunch and my problem falls with the financial aid Lori has an attitude like she doesn’t like her job her communication is at a level one and her attitude is just a turn off. The rest of the office staff is much more helpful much more kind than she is. For example, I was mopping the kitchen with a string mop after we had finished cooking all the food when Chef Jackass comes up behind me and screams, "What the hell do you think you're doing ?, that's not how you mop a floor!". The chef then asks me if I was "special" which is not the right way a teacher should treat his students. He then grabs the mop and starts telling me to push the mop forward and backwards instead of side to side. Really ? I'm sorry who's the "special" one here ? Last time I checked, when using a string mop you move side to side NOT forwards and backwards. When using a sponge mop however, you move forwards and backwards. Warning! some of the students in this program can be hostile as well. For example, I was using my phone to call my mom to pick me up so i could get to a doctor's appointment in time when a student screams at me to shut off my phone. Personally, I don't think he has the authority to make such a statement, but whatever. I am through with the bullcrap, the negativity towards me and some other students, and the hostility from Chef Jackass. My advise to Chef Jack Elias: Quit this program now and find a place that would actually take you in . I know for certain that Publix hires retards, maybe if you apply there, they can show YOU the proper way to mop a freaking floor. Personal Note: the kitchen is filthy, they don't even clean the bottom part of the tables that they cook on and there's an occasional roach on the floor each week you come in.Jason Keppel

My Last Day at Cape Coral Technical College. I can not tell you how much this School helped me to get where I am Today. When I Was Scared, or exhausted or whatever the problem was each one of these people were there for me. I could always go in there office and pull up a chair and a box of tissue's. I am not just saying this I Truly mean it if your thinking about returning to School. DO IT! Go in and talk to them. I can tell You I never felt more certain about my Decision as I did after going in just to get info. The lady I spoke with mind you I hadn't told her my interest, she told me. she said I hope your here for Cosmetology? I said Why do I Look that bad. after we stopped laughing she said no on the contrary you look like a Cosmo Girl. Awe at least I look the part could I do it and the answer was yes!!! And everyone of these people helped me. Go visit. They offer so many different Courses I never realized. I urge you today Go Visit The #1 COLLEGE IN SWFL! Cape Coral Technical College is Number 1 in my book. My son wants to attend and we are all for it. I would just like to leave a little review of Chef Jack Elias and the culinary arts program. I did not have the pleasure of attending the school but i met Chef Jack through a mutual friend. After going to observe several of his classes I can assure you that he genuinely cares about his students and wants nothing but for them to succed in the food service industry. I also served with him on an advisory board at the school. The advisory board consists of the instructors of the various programs at the school along with leaders in the corresponding fields. The goal is for the instructors of the programs to learn what knowledge will be needed to help the students be best prepared for what awaits them after they graduate. I highly recommend anyone interested in the field of culinary arts to enrole in any of the classes Chef Jack Elias instructs. Just a quick note about myself. I am a baker/pastry chef of nearly 30 years and i have met many dedicated chefs and bakers but Chef Jack is near the top. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. And good luckJim Taucher

I went here for a semester because some classes weren’t open at the other campuses during the time I was available. The campus is really nice and has a huge walking path around a pond. Their aids to help study are really nice and it was an overall great experience. My professors were all amazing, and I loved Mrs. Slisher in particular. She’s an amazing professor and made me truly interested in what I was learning. I highly, highly recommend taking her if you get the opportunity to.Elissa Clarke
