14 Best Radiology Programs In Worcester, MA (2022 Updated)

I took the CNA ‘Plus’ programme there back in October 2021. For $2395 we never got a clinical! And the facilities and equipment provided were unbelievable! One mannequin with its leg falling out and not even a proper night gown to keep it from being exposed! Sheets were dirty! Equipment faulty, and now we are STILL waiting to take our state licensure exams! If you’re taking the CNA programme, do not take the “plus part” it is a waste of money and time. State Street U is amazing. I attended 22 years ago and stopped by for the first time since then and I was amazed to find, updated buildings, a beautiful store, and a whole new feel. The professors and professionals were mostly great when I was there and though I don't attend, I had a chance to talk to administrators and they are still amazing. It is a fantastic education at a great price. If you are looking for a great community college, look no further than STCC. Great school with the absolute best teachers. Mr. Crowley, my English teacher, was really amazing and reignited my love for writing. Roxbury Community College is a top community college in Boston with accessible instructors who are devoted to their students learning and mastery of the subjects. It is more important to learn the foundations than be pressured and focusing on competition for grades at some notable colleges in the area. I am also interested in furthering my writing career for children and young adults by the Children's Literature course. And courses on Images of African Americans in the media. I am applying to an MFA program in creative writing at Spaulding University and need letters of recommendation. I hope to get a tv show on Nickelodeon. This will help. I might take Linux computer programming or Java II. I plan to enroll in Biology I Biology II at BHCC. There is an Energy class. If I have time I will take this on Saturday mornings. I also plan to take Organic Chemistry and apply to medical school using computerized anatomy coursework. I am considering taking Arabic language classes here. I am also going to read the book on legal document preparation. I do not have time to take everything, so I can read the book and keep improving being self taught is important. I start a dishwasher job at a major sports arena complex in the evening and will work weekends, so I have time!Kelly Moy

Absolutely not. I know rocks that can gain more intelligence in a lifetime compared to the amount of anything you'll gain here. They don't even offer flexible tutoring hours for students employed by the school. What? are you kidding? Say its a conflict of interest. A conflict of who's interest? Cause its truly conflicting the interest to learn when you cant make a buck and get help with academics at the same time. Highly unprofessional staff, hand to God I thought they were common transients you pass by in hallways and streets. Also the graduation rate there is half past depressing and that alone is a reflection of the interests the professors have in teaching a community anything college related. Also is a reflection of the effortless clowns that frequent the facility still nostalgic about their high school days. Do NOT waste your time especially if you have SENSE and SCENTS. I'm 100% positive that those who gave this 5 stars and commented that they graduated have all ended up in a career working with MBTA. Oh yeah, and I'm not from Boston. Please be aware of this college. Worst college in USA. Took money out from Income Tax return without even attending any class. Please be very aware before you visit this college or sign any papers.My wife went there to check about the courses they provide and see the college. She never went to that college again and never did any class. After couple of months we received a bill that we owe money. Called the college and the front desk said that you have to talk with the billing department. They told us that you have to come to the college and sign the paper. My wife told that her foot is broken and she have 4 kids so that is why she cannot come. She Also told them that she will send doctor and hospital note that she cannot drive.They hung up the phone on her. She sent so many email and calls but no reply. Spoke with billing department that I really need that money for my kids. They guy I spoke said that i can not return the money. Spoke with HR department and they said that we only handle our employees department. Asked them about the dean and they hang up the phone. They don't deserve any star.Amit Talwar

Most of the bad reviews are coming from people who had ONE bad experience at like the book store or whatever or i gEt tHiEr aDs oN hUlu, though the veteran who shared his story probably has a decent case to make. Anyway I got a business degree from this college and if you actually try you can do really really well here, with great professors and programs like the honors program which gives high level learning at bottom dollar, and wonderful faculty like the folks at PTK, disability services, or the Fuller Center. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot to work on regarding graduation rates, the food, no one card system, etc but I couldn't give this place anything less than 5 stars because of all of the wonderful people who give 110% here, especially in those departments I mentioned. If you live in Worcester don't spend 30k a year to go to Assumption, you'll save so much money to come here. Seek opportunity, study for your tests, respect your professors and faculty, and most importantly, do your damn homework; I guarantee you'll be a success at this place if you do all of these things.Clark Kent

The qcc "police" are some of the most unqualified and unempathetic people in the area. There is no doubt they have no training, no expertise in law and zero idea of what they are doing. Maybe they should take some courses while they work their jobs at qcc in criminal justice. Maybe they can get a handle on their jobs. This is an awesome school and I am so disappointed that one teacher ruined it all for me. DO NOT take Professor Jane Joyce accounting classes or any classes from her. She is awful and not a good teacher in general. You will waist your money, time, and probably want to rip your hair out when she talks. I have to be honest about this. Good college when it comes to campus design, some Professor's teaching skills, and assistance for school related issues. Although, the school teaches bad ethics. For example, sports lack discipline. They will teach there athletes to run score boards up. Up by 20 in a basketball game with 3mins to go, they will shoot more three point shots than Steve Kerr. The most alarming thing is faculty will participate in Hazing students. I've watch this with my own two eyes. Call them out on it, and they will just deny it, at least my professor did. I am currently a student there, who help form a club, in order to help students get there basic needs to become a successful student. So just remember, good campus design, some Professors have good teaching styles, good for resources, but terrible place to learn good ethics. To me learning good ethics and applying them is one of the most important, or the most important thing to learn as a student. Would not be the first school I would want to send my child to. My alma mater which will always be in my heart till it stop beating (that might sound too dramatic) but hey that’s the truth! I learned a lot, got tons of experiences, got so many American and International friends, exchanged culture and collected precious moments in this place. I really miss the college, my friends, the clubs, the library, single stop, the cafeteria and most importantly I miss my coordinator when I was in a scholarship Program and of course I really miss the professors. I do recommend this college as an affordable and easy starting point but be ready to encounter many hurdles in your way and a lot of incompetent staff. Make sure to double check everything you do here, especially the financial aid part. The professors are nice but it’s on you to actually learn the material, the professors rarely will make sure you learned anything. It’s a 3 star college. Great diversity of people, BUT absolutely no political diversity, if you’re a radical leftist, you’ll love this college.Roberto R

I used to go here periodically before they were taken over by Mass College of Pharmacy and it was great. Now, can't even get a live person when calling for an appointment. Either they don't call back or they call back and leave a useless message. Could not understand how a tool of Big Pharma could take over a natural and ancient art of healing…. except to suppress the natural and ancient art of healing because they want you to take drugs instead.Terry P

I had a friend go here for school so I went to the student intern acupuncture clinic to help with some digestive issues. I liked the experience overall and had a significant reduction in symptoms over 3 treatments. The place is pretty affordable as well so I'd recommend if you were on a budget, but you are working with students as opposed to longer term practitioners so that should be kept in mind.Deven Sinclaire

If I could give this "college" zero stars, I would. I took a few classes there for a week and a half because I needed some cheap credits in order to graduate early from my real school. I'm not typically a judgmental person, but after about ten minutes I couldn't believe how much of a joke it was. First off, the place reeks. Like I'm not sure how it's scientifically possible for any building to smell that bad. Furthermore, two of my professors could barely speak English and another one was extremely uptight and treated the students like 3rd graders. You know it's bad when your Spanish teacher's comprehension of the English language is spectacular compared to the other teachers. But what was most pathetic was a large portion of the "students." Most of them clearly didn't want to be there, which is ridiculous considering you're paying for further education so you should want to be in school. A lot of kids were clearly low functioning, ignorant, and unmotivated. The one moment I'll remember for a while was when a kid had to get escorted out because he was on meth. I hope he can get help with his addiction, but you can't have students coming into class drooling and expect anybody to take this place seriously. So, you get what you pay for. I wouldn't recommend the school to anyone who is evenly remotely educated. I've heard it makes illegal Mexicans hop back over the border because they realized they can get a better education on the other side.David Leicht

MassBay changed my life for the better. After attending a college that wasn’t right for me, MassBay saved the day. In my 3 semesters, I have had wonderful professors and the administration has been incredible. Transferring into and out of the school were made extremely easy, and I would recommend this school to anyone looking to work towards a degree. Everyone here WANTS you to graduate and succeed and you can feel that in all aspects of the college. (Wellesley campus): Student parking is (I think) free and in close proximity to campus. Advising, financial aid, and the bookstore were all very knowledgeable and helpful. All classes and administrations are all in one building. I have zero regrets about attending MassBay and I encourage anyone looking to earn a certificate, Associate’s Degree, or eventual Bachelor’s to see what MassBay has to offer!!Sarah Garofalo

Massbay is not a school it's a business. All they care about is getting your money and screwing you over. The lady at student accounts in Wellesley seems unhappy with her job and gives you so much attitude for wanting to know why it's taking 2 months to get a response back from them. If they owe you money good luck trying to get it back. If you have any issues you have to fight harder than a fish gasping for air in land.They lie about clinical sites they have for your internships,charge you so many fees for facilities that are never available or outdated.If your thinking about getting an education here DON'T!!!!!!!…your better off driving out your way to QCC ,Middlesex, or just apply to UMass, Worcester even Salem State. You will find some of the most dedicated hard working staff (from Professors and Advisors to the maintenance ppl and Campus PD) at MCC Brockton. MANY of them understand what it's like for those of us that take classes at a community college (wether we are there by choice or for financial reasons or whatever). MANY of them have sat where we students have sat and few forget what it was like on their own career paths. Alot teach classes at more prestigious places AND work at MCC for that very reason. I've been going there on and off for a long time and if you are willing to put in the time and effort any college course requires you will be met with as much support, courtesy and help from the school as a whole as well as the individual teachers, advisors, tutors etc.John Ferguson

I had one of the best college experiences here at Massasoit Community College. I transferred to Massasoit from Curry College because I was particularly sure if school was the right fit for me. I had classes transfer over from Curry which left me with 1.5 semesters at Massasoit. While attending Massasoit I played on both the soccer and the softball team while attending school and playing on two sports teams I have officially graduated with an associates in Criminal Justice with honors, and also in the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Please don’t waste your time, the people are very unhelpful, aren’t clear and they take forever to respond which resulted in me having to apply to another community college last minute, then they responded a week after I had everything settled with the other school Massasoit responded but I said I’d only take an online class 2 days later they dropped me from the class for non payment and when I tried to withdraw completely they said I still had to pay my bill. Like how and why would I pay for class I didn’t take?!Bennysha

I’m currently a student here. DO NOT APPLY TO REGIS! The financial aid department is never helpful. They tell us one thing, only for us to find out it was completely wrong. They told me to take out extra money then what was needed. This totally screwed me up. The food is terrible and we have cockroach problems. I studied abroad and they had no room placement for me when I returned. They never transferred my credits over until I was stern. The staff act like children until they’re called out by students, never completing things until we notice and ask them to do so. I wish I went to another college and will never recommend regis to anyone. Worst college experience ever.Emma Goulet

Total over reaction to Covid. Your a school in the suburbs. You should have given students a choice to attend in person or online TO BEGIN WITH!!!. This decision will likely ruin you financially. Such a disappointment. What a wonderful school. So curious who made such a ridiculous decision. I hope this doesn’t cause the school to go bankrupt. And I hope others don’t transfer out (but likely will .. as will we) because of such a silly decision. Of course health comes first. But your a small college. You could have used a LITTLE creativity. Terrible terrible MSN program, they will take your money, and no matter how good your grades are – do everything they can to find ways for you to not graduate. Located on Worcester it’s a big spread out complex with multiple buildings. A bit confusing to navigate their way for newcomers. That’s understandable since it’s a huge complex. Well maintained hospital. Doctors nurses and the staff are helpful and professional. Though it could be a little more neater especially the elevators leading to the building that had the CCU. It is dusty and looks like nobody cleans it. Apart from couple of things here and there overall it is a pretty good place.Sarada

If i could rate 0 i would my mother got open heart surgery 5 days ago and got sent home but today she had symptoms of a heart attack and was told by her surgeon to go to the ER because she was going to be sent to a room when we arrived we sat there for 9 hours while she had swollen legs slurred speech and still we have 40 people ahead of us because her case is not high priority. Ive seen only 2 people get called since 3pm when we arrived and this is insanityAna Rodriguez

My father who has dementia was brought into the ER on Sunday 08/08/21. His nurse Jesse was very attentive, kind and informative. Benjamin and Louisa were exceptional. They cared for my father, talking and entertaining him. I would also like to mention the folks that work out in the lobby, the receptionist and security. They were organized, patient and caring. Each time I had an emergency I went to UMass hospital for treatment. I was seen by the ER doctor and nurse. They were very friendly and knowledgable about my ailment and provided me with good care. As far as the ER there was a wait to get called into a room but it was a reasonable time frame. About 30 minutes or so. Naturally, you can't predict how long the wait will be as it varies according to the number of people there, where your name is on the waiting list and triage which determines who may need to be seen in order of the degree and type of ailment someone has. The parking lot gets packed very quickly, but there is valet parking which makes your life easier. Of course there is handicapped parking but the number of these parking spaces are limited. The building itself is huge and easy to get lost but there's always someone, staff and even non- employees around to assist you. UMass hospital is a teaching hospital as well.
