I will start with the good. The instructors are amazing. Most of them that I have had are very intelligent and filled with the necessary knowledge to teach you. Now the bad. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE COUNSELORS!!!! Figure out what classes you need to take on your own. I spent 3.5 years there with a combination of full and part time and have no degree and no requirements for any programs that I told them I was most interested in. When I was a vulnerable 17 year old first generation college student there completely on my own they told me I needed to take reading for Nursing. For one, looking back, I placed out of reading. For two, I have yet to come across a nursing program that requires reading. It seems that they always gave me the run around and had me taking all of the classes that I did not need, and none of the classes that I did need. If you can figure out what classes you need to take on your own, then The school if great, and the education that you receive is great. If you have nobody to help you or guide you in your life and are solely dependent on the counselors advise, find an alternative.Amber Parson

I didn’t know I Loved ECC, until I moved and I was out of district so I had to go to MCC. I Hate MCC everything and everyone is shut off by 4pm and there’s no almost no teachers willing to teach past 4 (There are but only some). This is impossible to manage. I’m getting a job near ECC so I can go back. I MISS YOU. Not only does ecc have a ton a teachers, but they offer a variety of times for classes especially in the afternoon. There teachers are wonderful and dedicated (not all of course but most) and there facility offers so many different activities and clubs you can go crazy in there. No a good place to take a home inspector class you have 60 hours to read a huge book, and triton college push you to get brand new book but all the material they show you is from 1900, therefore the teacher encourage you to just read the book because their old material doesn't Match with the new book, nothing is updated. Clean, friendly, cool school. I was in the A building, the lady in room A126 was VERY nice and quiet since it was a testing room. They even have FREE feminine products in restrooms for women. I asked about future classes and the lady who helped me initially was VERY pleasant and turned her computer screen around to show me how to navigate the schools website!! Terrible experience lately. Have been taking sculpture but always have known a seething ill will exists. There is an undercurrent poisoning the atmosphere as if some sort of competition is going on rather than artistic creation. If it had not happened so often I would not complain but whatever I work on generally gets moved to the back of the line to be cast whenever. It doesn't feel good. I had put up with it because I live in a tiny trailer and really enjoyed having room to sculpt. It was just a pipe dream I had after I retired but now it isn't fun being the object of attitude manipulation and derision as if I have a case of dementia and am unable to discern the actions of this coterie. This is going to be my last class if I can cast what I did in wax last semester and I'll find some other medium rather than allowing the insult to my psyche to continue. Covid vaccine review. Very organized. It all went smoothly. Thank you to all the workers there! First, there are a few check-in/screenings. Then you meet with a military personal to give your insurance and personal info to. Then it’s shot time. After a couple min wait I was in the chair. Monitored for 15 mins and second dose appointment made. I arrived around 10:00am and was back in my car by 10:40am.Erica S

This was truly a great experience, there were support from The Military Servicemen,and Servicewomen directing, and explaining our next step. Went there years ago, but it still holds to it's same terrible level of it's own. If I didn't get my credits transferred when I did they would not have been considered transferable. Even when I went back to school and needed to send them in I had to fight with my graduating college to have them accept two of the classes I took from here and the person whom I spoke with said that they were fighting them because of the terrible reputation that Kishwaukee has and they didn't want to accept any of their credits and they don't anymore. The saving grace is that the credits were from 2008, if they were any younger I would not have qualified. The two were a basic Chem course and a Basic level math. I also took a test to qualify me out of a higher math so since I had that they figured I was competent enough in math for that math course to count. This school also doesn't have any licensed guidance counselors so they can't offer you any real degree program assistance, but that is kinda the point, they want you to waist your money there. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!!! Even if you think you might save money, you wont and other colleges WILL question the courses, even the state accredited ones which should be transferable to any college. Also, any college can deny any course for any reason and they are the final say. After going through college, after attending community colleges, me and my husband can both say that the best call you can make is to start off in the college you are planning to graduate from. If you need to go to community college to raise your GPA before going to the college you want, DO NOT take any courses based on a major you are seeking, just take Gen Ed courses. My husband's college turned down half of his courses for his major just because they wanted to, even though they should have been accepted, all in an effort to keep him there for longer. The truth of the matter is that he could have graduated with a slightly better major in 3.5 years if he had just simply started with his Four year school vs the five years it took to get a slightly less marketable degree because it would have taken another year. Never forget, colleges care about making money too, they are just as shady as any other greedy corporation so treat them as such when you consider how long you want to go and where you want to go.Cou Berry

Horrible community college run by a top heavy administration that makes poor finically decisions. Like so many other community colleges the pay for adjuncts is incredibly bad. Your class may be taught by someone making very little to point where they might quit mid early or late semester for better work which is literally just about any other job. I would never recommend this college to anyone unless your going into their nursing program which they seem to care about (emphasis on seem to care about). Sad school that teaches you how to fail . They do not care about anything but money and make that evidently clear only once you’ve paid enough . I recently received a class schedule (non-credit) brochure in the mail from Harper College and found a mosaic class taught by artisan and glass artists Urii Guchenia and Nathalie who has her very own studio in Willowbrook. The class was very inexpensive and well worth it! Kristin the librarian was very efficient in sending us a friendly email reminder along with the campus map to find the building where the class was. The class was held in “The Make Shop” within the library. All supplies were furnished and setup for us. Nathalie and Urii gave a us brief history of glass mosaics and were so helpful while we created our pieces. They had a vast array of glass tiles in every color imaginable! It was so much fun and gave us all a whole new appreciation of mosaic artisanry!Michelle Foy

All along with a beautiful campus, excellent faculty and staff, and interesting engagement activities!! Please do not go to this school, its terrible! I went here for 3 years and obtained an associates degree in Arts meant towards a bachelors degree back in 2014 but my experience was horrible. Me being black and African, they denied me an opportunity to use the Chemistry Lab to work on an idea that I wanted to prove yrt they were allowing other students to use it. Yet, the school used me to advertise in the Daily Herald News Paper as an immigrant that goes to their school doing athletics. My understanding is that they are chosen based on their ability to teach, rather than what research they are doing (which I'm told is the major criteria for hiring professors at 4 year universities). The only negative experience here, has been some minor harassing by the business office about tuition payment. This is somewhat understandable, but my frustration is due to having already spoken with the office about when I will pay, but I'm still receiving constant reminders to do so. That really is minor though and I would recommend this school to anyone. Very friendly and helpful teachers, cafeteria workers (food is decently priced to) and custodial staff. Haven't really interacted with anyone other than that.RoProArt

This college is the worst colleges in the history of Chicagoland and I thought that the teachers care more about students with special needs and disabilities as well but it seems like they don’t really care about disabilities students like us who struggle through catching up with some homework assignment on blackboard and has to be submitted by those instructor which they never graded it at all over the past two months or so I had a terrible experience of being part of this school which is too far compared to where I’m live at now every day I always take three buses and two train like the red line train to the blue line train and a extra bus to get there but always get there very late and the students from there are so sarcastic and not really friendly that much often. I went to the GED office everything was perfect and very nice people there but NOT tutoring center office A-245 , I can't believe Wright college still have these people in its offices reception! They need to learn how to nicely receive students ,being nice won't cost you anything, you're in college not at your home ,remember that ! I have two major issues I'd like to publicize as a graduate from this program. Before I was a student, I had obtained several certifications that allowed me to work with clients from a wellness perspective – personal training, general nutritional guidance, etc. (like a health/wellness coach if you will). I did this business while in school and it was a great way to hep my family survive while no income was coming in as a student. It was 100% legal and within the guidelines of these certifications. NUHS decided they were going to threaten me and shut my business down. The previous VP of the school (who will go unnamed) spear headed the attack. I was threatened to be expelled from school and threats to inform the Chiropractic Board to prevent me from ever being a doctor. It was scary for sure, b/c I didn't understand why they would do something like this, what was the end game here? I was operating legally and ethically, and it felt more personal on their end. Being a student, having limited funds, and not wanting to put my future career in jeopardy, the only option was to put my tail in between my legs and back into a corner. I closed everything, all the hard work and years of effort and succumbed to their threats. After spending close to $200,000 on my education, I didn't think this was a great way to be treated. After graduating and moving on, I thought the harassment was over. Years after graduating and separating myself from National's toxic environment, I was doing well for myself. Life was good, and business was even better. Out of nowhere I then had a major heart incident and decided to change the direction of my company. I needed to simplify life, and started to go through a major transition. During this transition finances become tight and I was looking for a gig to fill the gap until I could get my company back up and running. I applied for a position at a facility that will go unnamed. Everything went incredibly well with the interview and hiring process. I had several colleagues who worked for them who provided glowing recommendations, I met with one of the owner's, the clinic director and interviewed well. My references called me and told me they gave fantastic recommendations and that I should have them job for sure. Long story short, I ended up not getting the job. I asked my good friend who worked for the company what happened, everything looked so promising? He informed me that somewhere along the interview process, this company spoke with NUHS and whoever they spoke with urged them not to hire me. Another professional sabotage from National University of Health Sciences. To this day I'm not sure what I did to this school to deserve this type of treatment. I actually got really good grades and was a good doctor. The worst part about this is I've heard from other colleagues they've been treated in similar ways. This is not an isolated incident. This is an incredibly unfortunate set of circumstances and I think the public should be aware of how this institution is run. Furthermore, every prospective student should be aware of this. Hence posting & sharing this information. As you get older, you get wiser. There is no revenge I seek and what was first anger and resentment, has turned into motivation and fuel. I do hope NUHS learns from this. Now I maintain 3 extremely successful practices, and life is very good. I highly discourage prospective students from attending this school. There are far too many other programs that will not do this to do you – and hopefully this never happens to any other NUHS students. The 1 star is for the few amazing faculty members that played a role in shaping my career. Other than that, I'd stay away.David S

Over the past 2 months, I have had several appointments. Each time I have met with an intern for the entire visit, only to have the clinician pop in at the end of the visit only to reaffirm her opinion for my future care. She provided no other evaluation or exam. She was only there to speak. She was never in my presence for more than (4-5) minutes.. Several blood tests, and a Urinalysis, and a (4) day diet diary review. No xrays have been suggested or discussed. During (2) of the visits, the intern did provide (2) specific adjustment methods but I felt no physical improvement whatsoever. Mainly exercises were recommended and observed during the visit, with continued home care recommendations until next appointment. I was sold "doctor evaluated and approved" supplements which I later found were available on Amazon and were a lot less. The exam rooms remind me of prison holding cells and the lab rooms seem unsanitary. THE RECEPTIONIST ARE STONE COLD! That is unless a Dr walks in or they are introduced by a colleague, then they are sweet as roses. Otherwise, you will be lucky to get a smile or a "thank you" for your business. TWICE, I have called the main line and the receptionist immediately told me they were going to put me on hold. Once, I waited over 20 minutes, then called from another line, where my call was immediately answered and assistance was offered – while my original call was kept on "hold". The next time, this happened for 8 mins before I hung up and called back. I didn't bother to address the inconsideration the second time. There has been no improvement and will be no additional appointments based on my evaluation as a whole. The only reason I gave a star is because the intern was a nice person. My advise is to steer clear of NUHS and find a corrective chiropractor with the skills any reputable Chiropractors would recommend. This place was not helpful at all.don warden

I graduated from this facility in 1980 and things have changed very much. More diverse educations for more integrated health fields. I'm sorry that the person above had a bad experience at the NUHS Clinic. When you get a haircut at the beauty college don't be surprised when the barber messes up your hair. Same in most fields of service. I'm sorry for the individual that had a poor time but experience increases with time and effort. These are students with at most few years of hands on clinical experience. My experience with NUHS is positive in all ways. The institution has great faculty and students. They don't allow all who apply just like Princeton or any other good school. At the time I attended it was the first Chiropractic College that was accredited and Dr Joseph Janse was President. He and the faculty are on the same side as the students. They want to turn out the finest DC's by offering a heavy course load; because there is so much to learn in only 5 academic years. Today it offers post graduate education, other degrees in different fields of study, Acupuncture, Naturopathy and more. If I were going to re-invent myself in midlife, I would do it at NAHS. It will prepare you to be a well trained and good Doctor in the field you choose.Paul Gordon

Quality of care and service is highly, highly dependent on the specialty you’re seeing here. Their oncology is #1 in the state for a reason and absolutely the best place to go for cancer care. Truly amazing teams and the best doctors and nurses I’ve ever had. Imagining is also incredible, at least with the techs. Every scan I’ve had has been a wonderful experience and truly exceptional. The other departments I’ve experienced here are lacking. Orthopedics – doctor was over an hour late to my appointment, spent 5 minutes with me, had zero bedside manners. I reas the notes after and they were full of unprofessional remarks that gave the sense he didn’t care at all about my care and was dismissive. It’s not the attitude I would expect from an attending physician, or at least not one that actually wants to work there. The facility themselves are very hit or miss in terms of accessibility. I use mobility aids and while much of the hospital is accessible, a lot of it isn’t. Arkes pavilion only has accessible bathrooms on two floors and multiple hallways that are not wide enough for mobility aids. I had to stop seeing my psychologist there simply because the there were no automatic doors on his floor, including main hallways. If you’re in Illinois and need cancer care, especially for rare or advanced cancers, there is no better place than northwestern. For every other specialty, it’s very hit or miss and most often seems to be miss. If you need orthopedic specifically, go to Rush.Sara Sunshine Rosado

Absolute worst ER! I was admitted at 7:00 p.m. and it’s now 1:25 a.m. as I write this review. I am in an examination room waiting for the doctor to see me, so far I’ve only met with the PA. I was called into the examination room a little after midnight—still waiting on the doctor. This is the most unprofessional hospital I’ve ever been to. The waiting room is not clean. In fact, a man in a wheelchair urinated on himself three times. Streams of urine poured from his wheelchair. I told a nurse about it, but he did nothing. I am disheartened at what I’ve seen by the staff and the lack of care needed to maintain a humane and efficient ER. Visitors are treated like cattle, and the wait times are disgraceful.R W

Been here since 2pm- car accident and cut finger. It is now 9:30 and the only one that seems to be doing their job right is the night shift security guard who happens to see us putting our mask down. With all the money that goes into this place there should be better cleaning rotations, a better turn around for patients. I am convinced they have only one doctor and 15 nurses working. The picture below is only one area. The blankets are from 3 different patients that were called after atleast 7 hours of waiting. Bathrooms are disgusting. Spent $40 on coffee and a sweet x2 and not to mention the excruciating parking rates. Just go to Stroger atleast there they will help you with the ridiculous cost.Albertina Cruz

EMS groups love this emergency clinic in light of the fact that the staff is so astonishing. Indeed, the real office is lovely and clean and brilliantly kept up with yet it's the staff that makes this spot genuinely extraordinary. From the nursing staff, to social laborers, to help staff individuals who work here clearly love what they do in light of the fact that they are useful, proficient, mindful, and consistently exceed all expectations. Regardless of whether it is on the floors, in pressing consideration, or the outpatient facility the staff has consistently been the absolute best. It seems like we don't get to write positive reviews much these days but today is different because today we're talking about La Rabida. EMS crews love this hospital because the staff is so amazing. Yes, the actual facility is beautiful and clean and wonderfully maintained but it's the staff that makes this place truly special. From the nursing staff, to social workers, to support staff the people who work here obviously love what they do because they are helpful, knowledgeable, caring, and always go the extra mile. Whether it is on the floors, in urgent care, or the outpatient clinic the staff has always been the very best. None of the EMTs and medics we have talked to have anything bad to say about this place and neither do we. A shining example of what healthcare can be when everyone cares about doing a great job and taking care of others.Honest Medics

My son has a tracheostomy and is ventilator dependant. He is a year old now and has never been home, though only been at LaRabida for about 2 months. From the top with the CEO, Medical Director, case management, social work, child life to the charge nurses, bedside nurses and ALL therapist, PT, OT, Infant Development and Speech, to the nicest environmental service staff, the vast majority of my encounters have been extremely pleasant. You will never like everyone or everything but this place is so special for those who have rubbed me the wrong way, get pushed aside by the dedicated team that allows me to take my son outside, gets him a custom Paw Patrol bday cake, and treats my 3yr old son like family when he visits. As a employee of Rush hospital environmental services department I worked here and dedicated myself to fulfilling my job duties to my greatest ability and because of that I was over work and assigned to work all over the Professional building sometimes a different area/floor each day even assigned to two jobs in one shift but because of my willingness to get the job done and the skills that I have to perform any assignment given by management in this department. I never complain because I personally remember not having a job and I really appreciated being employed and helping those in the hospital that needed a clean hospital bed and room and bathroom while trying to get better and the doctors that want their office cleaned and the floors mopped and trash can emptied for when they come into their office in morning. I was terminated due to accusations of having Covid-19 and I was escorted out of the the hospital during my shift by security and management without anything in writing regarding why I’m being escorted out of the building during my shift and my I.d badge removed and taken from me without no union member being present on my behalf or even to witness the situation. I was never given the chance to return to work. I passed the mandatory temperature checks when entering the building and I did not report being sick or having symptoms. I would’ve called in sick or took time away from work. I had fmla and could have taken time off if needed. I was wrongfully escorted out the building and never given the opportunity to return back to work. As of today I am without a job that I been at working for 4 years with no complaints ever about my performance. My history of working on all 11 floors inside the professional building reflects my hard work ethic. No other employee in my department during my 4 years with Rush was utilized like me because they were not capable of getting the work done. My job was wrongfully taken away from me after being a awesome employee to a company that doesn’t value their workers if you aren’t a doctor bringing in millions of dollars from surgeries. I worked in what’s considered the lowest and most looked down upon position in the hospital and that is why this entire situation could even happen.TW

If you decide to go to the E.R. at RUSH… Be prepared to stay in the waiting area for a good ten hours!!! Yes! Ten hours!!! Speaking with patients that have been in the waiting room for 14-15 hours to get called into a room.. We need legislation passed to protect patients. Hospitals should face fines or some type of disciplinary action when they keep patients waiting for so long.. Just like airlines! Waiting rooms are extremely congested. They need a better system to deal with the amount of patients they deal with. If you go in with a sprain, hurt or heart issues… you have a HIGH probability of going home with some type of virus! Waiting rooms are NOT being sanitized. Doors etc not being sanitized. Bathrooms not sanitized enough! RUSH instead of wasting so much money in commercials talking about being state of the art… Act like you are state of the art!!! You are labeled as state of the art NOT a third world country!!! UPDATE Response to RUSH's response. Complete LIES!!! A patient waiting made a comment/question to a nurse. He asked if being a good liar was part of her job. He told her he had been there since 9 a.m. Wednesday. It was 1 a.m. Thursday when he was asking/commenting. She actually laughed and commented that at times believe it or it was part of her job to lie. RUSH needs to open up a bigger E.R. The government gave a lot of aid to hospitals. HORRIBLE NURSES ! NEGLECTED WHILE PREGNANT! I had the worst treatment in the ER while being pregnant I was waiting for hours upon hours to get a room while I was vomiting and very dizzy they had me in the waiting room for about 4 hours after I was in the emergency room for 2 days because I bed didn’t open up for me while those days happened the nurses were the worst they were rough and neglectful to when I was in pain I was crying sobbing because they didn’t put an iv in right I had the IV done 13 times!!! 13 times they couldn’t get it in right to the pint where they just gave up and didn’t give me an IV I was left without food for long long periods of time and when I asked for options they told me it wasn’t a restaurant in which I was in shock from that nurses response I never went back after and never will worst hospital ever they’re a joke I will not trust my baby in their hands compared to Uic I’ve had the best treatment ever there very attentive and gentle with me and babyMelisa Roman

DeVry was a great online and on-site combination school. The professors actually care about their student's success. The fact that the ones teaching are actually in the field of study as a career gave me more motivation to continue my education. The layout in which we submitted our work was very user friendly and my senior project was not only beneficial to my career success but it was fun and my classmates actually worked well together which bodes well for the future. I really enjoyed my time with everyone and hope to see the in the future. If I had to be critical of one area it would be that the grading scales would differ class to class. Which in my opinion is actually good because you know that the school was making sure the class and content was up to date. Being able to go to school from different devices phone, computer, or even a paper back made my school experience more learning and less headaches.Windy City Flyr

My major is Computer information systems with concentration in software programming. During senior project, we had great chance to apply our knowledge and skills earned from DeVry university into the real life. We worked with Fly with Butch O’Hare project during our senior project, which is really great opportunity to put our selves in real world. My experience here at Devry has been wonderful, everyone is willing to work with you to help keep your grades up and keep your GPA in good standards. The falculty and staff is amazing and very welcoming and are truly the best. So far I love this school and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to attend college and have a busy schedule. Had applied to this school for the MRI Program. Paid all the fees for application, transcripts, etc. Took the entrance exams and passed. Received my classes/schedule and sent them my fafsa. I had been registered for my classes already. I did an interview, the person that interviewed me was not professional, believe her name was Danielle Dertz. When trying to answer questions, i was cut off constantly and put down. Then right when everything was set and done for me to start the course, they give me a call that they do not want me as a student. My time was wasted, as well as money. They thought that I was not a good fit for the program because it is "too stressful". Previously, I was a full time student as well as a full time employee and received my degree from a different school with good grades, so I was stunned at this claim. They based this claim off of a previous job I had quit which had no relation to the MRI program itself. Instead of giving me a chance, when i expressed my interest and drive for the school i was shut down. Really disappointed in how i was treated as a student in the pandemic wanting to further my education Reply to response: The fact that you guys based your decision of my admittance on a job I worked over a year ago is disappointing. Both careers are very different from one another, so it’s sad that it is assumed that I wouldn’t be able to handle the program. My grades and achievements proved otherwise, but that was completely overlooked. I noticed with other reviews that many students had issues with the interview process as well. One would think after so many complaints something would be done about it but i guess not. As a student wanting to further their education, being discouraged because of a decision made, once again, over a year ago, was very disappointing. CNA is not the same as MRI. Many things change after over a year. The way I was put down by the Program Director was very upsetting and unprofessional. And I had also received a full schedule for the program. All of my classes were listed. You guys had waited to tell me that I was no longer accepted, hence my time being wasted. Instead of telling me right after the interview, you guys had waited. I was asked to fill out financial aid and receive my classes all the while knowing that I was not to be accepted.Tali Gallik

Midwestern Career College is a phenomenal institution! The staff, students and alumni are some of the most driven and intelligent people I have ever met. I originally met Mary Schmidt in 2018 and was fortunate to form a great business relationship after attending a career fair at the Chicago campus. While I originally attended this career fair strictly looking for Medical Assistants to hire, Mary educated me on the Externship Program that the institution offers. Mary was so kind to visit various UroPartners locations to further discuss this program with our Practice Managers. After many introductory visits, UroPartners started placing externs last year. We have now placed six MA externs and three of those individuals are full time employees who are still with the company today! In addition to that, our surgery center is now also participating in this program as they have started placing Surgical Technologists externs onsite. It has been amazing to watch this program grow and I look forward to all the future success Midwestern Career College and UroPartners will form together.Yasmine Lozano

I’m currently a student enrolled in the EKG program and I’ve really appreciated the take on online education. We have an in person class once a week that really brings the class together and elaborates on key points. The facilities are really nice, the class I’m in is in their downtown building, and I have an outstanding opportunity to learn about my field. The class sizes are not big so there’s always opportunities to ask questions and clarify for my own sake. The teachers are very helpful and are more than willing to go the extra mile for their students which is amazing because you just won’t always get that at a bigger school. All in all I’ve really enjoyed my time at at Midwest career college and will be recommending this course of study for any of my friends or family looking to get an education in any of the many fields that MCC has to offer!!Michael Goubine

This is a very honest review of my experience from 08/22/22 to 08/23/22. I am thankful first, to God Almighty for a successful surgery granted my daughter and secondly for the amazing experience from the receptionist who loves blings to the entire nurses, doctors and non medical members of staff that made this an easy phase. I will be mentioning some names only because I remember them particularly but if you ever had to help Zifana in one way or the other during this admission then know that I am equally thankful to you too. Dr Rastatter and Dr Lee from ENT dept are amazing, very knowledgeable and soft spoken. They both took time in their own ways to explain and made sure my husband and I understood the procedure and answered all questions respectfully. The Anesthesiologist Dr and her colleague (names forgotten) you both rock and are excellent at what you do, let me also add very kind too. To the Nurse at PACU that helped my baby stabilize after surgery , I can’t remember you name now, you are truly a Nurse at heart and you understand what empathy is and to your colleague who helped wheel us out, thank you both. How can I forget Nurses Wendy, Mallory and Susy, we received an exceptional before and after service from you all. A very big thank you to Larry from the patient transportation dept who sang so beautifully and also had a personalized song with his own name while transferring us to a room. Thank you all for you professionalism and hard-work. There’s no amount of money that can compare to your sacrifices, but I pray God’s blessings on each and everyone of you today and always. To conclude let me say that this hospital was well taught of before putting together and the employees are a reflection of their management’s vision.BHN

This hospital deserves less than one star. Every time I schedule an appointment (which takes forever) they say they accept my bcbs insurance and days before the appointment they call me back and say they do NOT accept it. I even upgraded to PPO and have a referral from the Dr. they still make up some excuses not to schedule an appointment for my child. Hell, even getting the right person on the phone to make an appointment is complex. The call back feature is garbage too. You expect whoever calls will help you make the appointment but no, person who calls me back says “let me transfer you”. Frustrating at the point where I will never want to do anything with this place.Masha Kasha

If I could give a zero star I would. So my 1 star is my zero star. They let my son screaming for 1:30 half with nurses just looking at us not helping or getting help for us leaving the room knowing my sons lips were already damaged with blister we are dealing with a lip injury. Cindy P and her friend nurse they messed up my sons lips big time. We have been in so much pain emotionally, mentally but my sons is the one that will pay for their negligence with a lip reconstruction my heart will never be the same. I just wanted to get out of there because I thought my son was going to die in their hands. So so sad.Yunuen Raya

I am very impressed by and appreciative of Gina Aalders. I began my enrollment into the Radiography program fairly late and feared I would be unable to finish the process in time for classes. From the very first moment I met Ms. Aalders, she has continued to go above and beyond her duties and exceed my expectations. What impressed me the most was her level of communication and willingness to assist me however she could. She was proactive in letting me know approaching deadlines and extremely supportive throughout the entire process. After coming from a college where all of these things are seriously lacking, Ms. Aalders was EXACTLY the person I needed and I could not be more appreciative of how helpful she has been. First time a surgeon called me brother, myself being a Union worker, that was a great start! He brought his team with him, myself coming from an apprenticeship background, I love to see his fellow learning side by side next to the journeyman surgeon. He shows you your film and is able to overlay measurements and degrees- so awesome to take the time to show and explain the process of the surgery that is needed. I had been told a full labrum repair would be 6 months recovery from another surgeon. Dr Chahla is hoping to have me back in 3-4 months and was able to schedule surgery very quickly- less than 2 weeks out! Being a Journeyman Iron Worker, each day off of work is a day without pay and that adds up quickly- very happy to hear less recovery time and quick surgery scheduling! Getting Dr Chahla’s recommended nutritional supplements to help recovery as well. I will update my review after my surgery, but I’m very happy so far….John Lacy

It's been two years since my knee surgery and still have not recovered. I have been doing regular exercises with a physical therapist and my knee still clicks and feels uncomfortable. I was given a few random knee tests that were not covered by insurance. Even my physical therapist was not sure why I was given those random and unnecessary tests. I do not think he has enough experience with Knee surgeries (can't say for other surgeries). I wish I could’ve done more research before my surgery. Dr Chahla is one of only a few very knowledgeable, compassionate, wonderful doctors we have met in the last 4 years, & we have seen well over 100 of them, in hospitals, & trying to find help & healing for our child. He knows all about EDS & how challenging it can be to treat an injury for a kiddo with it. He does not rush into surgery, but won't rule it out when it's necessary. He is excellent with our teen, wonderful with us as her parents, & has the best beside manner of any surgeon we have met, hands down. Dr Chahla saw a tear in the labrum via the MRI images that was missed by 2 radiologists & another orthopedic surgeon. We are beyond grateful to have found him for our child.4saleby owner2012

I can't say enough that is positive about this provider. If I could I would give them 10 stars. My doctor told me I needed an MRI because of an ear issue. My expensive blue cross blue ripoff insurance pretty much covers nothing until I use up the enormous deductable. I first called Northwestern memorial thieves hospital and they told me that I could make an appointment in six weeks at the earliest and that the cost would be just over $5000 but could be more depending on what new rolls royce the hospital was going to buy the CEO this month. (Just kidding but they did say at least $5000). So I went on line and found a bunch of providers nearby. When I called Simon med they were very proffesional and could see me that same day but best of all they charge a flat $350 for any MRI. Yes you read that right 97% less than the thieves at Northwestern. The facility is clean and well run. My appointment was at 2.30pm and that is exactly when they provided the service. It is infuriating when you make an appointment with a doctor and end up waiting 45 minutes or more. The waiting room at simon med is large and they do require you to wear a mask. The MRI machine apparently is one of the latest models and the room where it is situated was bright and clean and has a video screen you can watch during the procedure showing calming pretty pictures. All in all I am just really happy with the service. I have not been paid for this review and am just a real customer that wants to share a positive experience that I was lucky to find.Rom Slim

I love Streeterville Open MRI Center! 🙂 I walked in with my extremely paranoid, claustrophobic self, and walked out feeling like "That was a breeze!" The two women I interacted with (Barb and Donna) were so nice, and Donna was an amazing MRI Technician (I'm not sure of her actual job title). She communicated with me so beautifully throughout the whole procedure, telling me what was going to happen and for how long, and she totally put me at ease. Plus, she let me listen to my 80's radio station, which helped relax me further. It was not scary, and an open MRI is definitely the way to go if your doctor allows it. And Streeterville Open MRI Center is a wonderful place to get it done. Don't be afraid, this place is awesome! Thank you, Donna, for making it an overall pleasant experience! 🙂Carla Jean

Incredible MRI facility! Frank and Toinette are kind and helpful. I've had claustrophobia for years, but needed a brain MRI, which I've never been able to get through in the past because of the claustrophobia. It was a breeze at SimonMed! The machine has plenty of room, and the mask that goes over your head(for brain scans) has eye holes that you can see through. There is a mirror positioned over your eyes so you can see a screen behind you that shows images you can select, like beautiful mountains, lakes, rivers…just relaxing stuff. For the first time in my life I got through a scan without the slightest bit of anxiety! If you have claustrophobia, or the MRI machines stress you out, come to SimonMed in Streeterville, it's so much better than any other facility I've been to.Steve Victory
