Hunter Business School helped me find a career that not only changed my life, but completely fell in love with. Covid was a blessing in disguise for me, and really made me evaluate how I'm going to change my life for the better. With being let go from my mundane office job, this was my opportunity to find a not only a stable career, but something rewarding as well. When the idea of radiography came up, I thought "This could be something I can do" and started researching school all around Long Island. HBS landed as my #1 choice. This program was not only affordable, but I would've started my career a whole year later if I attended the program at NCC. I would've been stuck taking prerequisite classes, since my college credits were more than 10 years old. With HBS, it didn't matter how long I had been out of school. I was given the same opportunity whether I was straight out of high school or changing careers later in life. Not only that, but with the accelerated program, I graduated before other schools were done and that gave me a head-start on finding a job. Last week I graduated from the Radiologic Technologist program, and I already have two dream jobs waiting for me. Today I passed my registry for my license, and I couldn't have done with without the dedicated staff at HBS. While the courses were content heavy, they made everything so clear and easy to learn, and were there for us when we needed the extra help. Without them, I wouldn't be the ARRT licensed radiologic technologist I am today.Nadin Kayserian

Attending this school has saved my life. It gave me purpose. The program showed me that I’m much stronger than I thought! I graduated in February 2021 from the x-ray technologist program. The faculty is amazing and very motivating. Many times I felt like the work was too hard, but I didn’t give up, and the teachers (especially Abe) really helped to keep me focused on my goals. So many doors have opened up for me since I graduated from the program. What’s even better is that the school helps you find a job! I graduated from NCC and John Jay prior to attending this school, and neither one of those institutions helped me get a job. In addition, the teachers at the other universities were not nearly as helpful and attentive compared to the teachers at Hunter business school. If it wasn’t for this program and all the amazing things it offers, I truly do not know where I would be today! I am eternally grateful for this school and their programs. Looking back, I have nothing but positive memories here. It was a wonderful learning experience! Abe is the best teacher ever. I’ve been attending Hunter business school Xray tech program for almost a year and I can honestly say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Usually Xray programs are 24 months, Hunters is 16 months(shorter but fast paced)5 days a week so it’s very time consuming. You need to be 100% dedicated and contribute most of your days studying BUT it’s so worth it at the end! Being out of school for a few years it was nerve wrecking to get into the flow of things, but because of the instructors(Mr.Abe, Mrs. Aggey, & Mrs. Joy) they continuously motivate you to be an amazing tech. Because of my lovely instructors they have molded me into a great tech making sure to be tedious to little details in this field and providing excellent care for future patients. I can’t thank Mr. Abe enough for giving me this opportunity and believing in me! Hunter has changed my life and has made me gain such a great career path and a new RAD TECH family ! I do NOT recommend this school! Honestly I was excited to go here and looking forward with completing this course. I went here for the EMT Basic Program. Let us start from the beginning. On the website they have a price of how much you would pay, but when you get there they tell you something completely different. Then they say the offer financial aid for EMT or payment plans, but when I asked to do it they said they don't do financial aid yet it says it online. So I offered to do a payment plan and they said that I couldn't, so I said okay then I won't attend. All of a sudden it's ok we can do a payment plan, that should've been my cue to not attend. Next the clinical person David, is really unpleasant. He talks to you as if you are beneath him, he is just rude. The course is rushed, if you did not go to school before or have a degree like myself, I don't recommend. The pace is too fast and they teaching is all over the place. Third they have this computer course online which is basically the computer reading what's in the textbook out loud. Unfortunately, that is why I failed because I missed two readings that had little quizzes in them. Which made no sense to me because I like to read the book myself than off the computer. Also, because of that they gave make up courses and two exams to take and said if I passed it, they would allow me to pass the class. I PASSES THEM AND THEY STILL SAID THEY COULD HELP. I should have read ALL of the reviews on this "school." I was really super excited about coming here but they are all about the $$ and don't care about your education. The clinical clearance coordinator, David Izso, is NOT friendly at all. He called me multiple times about a vaccination that I had to wait to get due to doctor appts being booked out and was talking to me if I was a child. Very unprofessional. They terminated me on a Friday, 4 days before the next semester, and a holiday weekend for failing ONE class after allowing me to take a makeup final for another class knowing I was already going to be terminated. They booted me off my portal, I had no access to ANY grades, my agreement signed through the school email, or even access to the other portal where I was messaging my professor. I have friends in nursing SCHOOLS in NYC that are allowed to pay and makeup a class failed after the first time. This school, no. They want me to apply again to just take more money from me. They hounded me everyday to pay my balance but when you want to speak to someone in regards to grades they just send you to voicemail and terminate you. I do not recommend CAHE. Save your $$ and do your research just like most of these reviews say.Brianna Tetefsk

I graduated from the paramedic program yesterday and I wanted to just share some information with anyone reading this. I joined the Full-Time Paramedic program and have had a wonderful experience. The program is rigorous but I found the course load to be very doable. The program leadership (David Skolnick and Joel Abraham) really works with each individual student to ensure they are able to succeed and become competent prehospital providers. They had many opportunities to do clinical rotations at various agencies throughout NYC and upstate NY. About 1 quarter into my program, they updated a lot of their equipment as well. Overall, I am very happy to have been trained by CAHE and highly recommend it to anyone looking to join become an EMT or Paramedic.Shulem Rosenbaum

I write this review based on the service that I've received from Dr Ben's nurse, Kelly, and Dr Northrup who is currently covering for Dr Ben. A month prior, Dr Ben had strong concerns over a possible diagnosis for me along with several avenues of treatment and stated that he would be monitoring my test results and create a plan moving forward. After testing, I was contacted by Dr Northrup with results that were alarming to me. I was basically told not to worry and that everything would be explained to me on my appointment in December., two months away. I understand that my diagnosis is common to this practice, but it was new and frightening to me. I was also told that the office would connect me to a Hematologist and a Rheumatologist, however, no I ne reached out to me until I personally made an inquiry. After receiving my results, and stating my concerns, Dr Northrup offered an earlier appointment. After several communications, I found out that i was no longer under Dr Ben's care and that he was out on an indefinite medical leave. I find the whole experience very deceptive, unreliable, and lacking compassion. Kelly's email responses were rude, which is why I will look elsewhere for better care. I honestly cannot recommend Dr Northrop and Kelly as a team, nor the practice itself for not disclosing Dr Ben's absence. I can compliment the Clifton Park office staff. They are very friendly and professional people and help you feel quite at ease.Patricia K

Obtaining healthcare over the past two years has been a struggle. I was an existing patient of Dr. Choma when I recently had a new issue. I expected to wait months to be seen, I expected to leave voice messages asking for an appointment and a long wait for a response. Instead, I called and was able to speak to his nurse to describe my issue, she consulted with him, got back to me with a scheduled appointment for Ari Fisher and it was within a couple of days. Ari was very kind and reassuring while he literally walked me through the next steps and appointments. Once the tests were completed all of the results and communication happened through the patient portal. All questions asked and answered had a response within 24 hours. Most often I would receive a response well after the work day had ended, or should have ended. I am so grateful for the excellent care that I have received from Ari Fisher, Dr. Choma and Dr. Polito, but also for the support staff who were always friendly and helpful.D M

I had an emergency situation. I called & spoke with Joanne, the nurse for my doctor. She communicated the situation with Phil – PA He called a script into my pharmacy along with instructions. Since I got worse, I called back & Joanne got me an appointment with Phil. Phil saw me, gave me an exam & sent me to St Peter's Hospital.. Before I left he calmed me down, explained the situation to me & made sure I had a ride to the hospital..He called the Hospital ahead of time & they were waiting for me.. I was scheduled for a procedure the next day. it was done by one of the doctors in the group.. I felt very well taken care of & felt so comfortable knowing I was in good hands.. This is a review of one doctor with this facility. It is posted here as well as under the doctor's name because, as noted below, the management of the Center dismissed my complaint out of hand, evidently ignoring staff members who were present and would have confirmed my account of the visit. — Dr. Schneider is not fit to practice medicine. Or to do any job that requires dealing with people. On April 8, 2022 I accompanied a woman who has a brain injury to a visit with James Schneider at the Bone & Joint Center’s Catskill office. Neither of us had seen him before. Back in the early 2000s, as part of a job at an agency for the disabled, I assisted many people at doctor visits. In each of those cases, the doctors were considerate and understanding But not Schneider. From the moment he walked into the exam room, before either my patient or I had said a word, he was rude, abrupt and abrasive, demanding to know “What’s the problem here?’ After being momentarily stunned to silence, I remember saying “Well, okay, that’s a good start.” After a brief examination of my patient’s shoulder and a knee, he instructed an aide to take the patient for an X-ray of her shoulder. Three minutes Schneider he came back, saying, in an aggressive tone, “This is not a multi-part body shop. What does she want me to do?” I told him to forget the x-ray; we would leave. I didn’t want my patient subjected to any further abuse. It was horrible experience. And we are not alone; Numerous online reviews going back to 2018 describe bad visits with Schneider. They use words like “..distracted.” “…rude.” “..impatient, unprofessional.” “To keep it simple” one reviewer wrote, “Dr. Schneider was rude, unprofessional, rushed, distracted and condescending.” Another said: “Dr. Schneider entered my room rushed and distracted. He was condescending and insensitive.” And another: “[Dr. Schneider] is unprofessional and rude. He has no regard for his patients and doesn’t listen. He needs lessons on how to be a person, then a doctor. Not a jerk.” But despite these and several other bad reviews, the managers at the Bone & Joint Center dismissed our complaint about Schneider’s conduct out of hand, saying they believed his false claim that I was rude to him and the office staff. I give 5 stars to the doctor but ZERO for the rest of the building! We have had a few bad experiences at the Albany building. There is no issue with the doctor I will add! but walking in and speaking to receptionist was a bad start. This is not a job for someone unfriendly! People get off on the wrong foot when someone is not pleasant. We have not had any positive engagements with staff behind the desks. Yesterday, we had a follow-up post surgery with a PA and it was bad at every step of the way. Why do you get shuffled around while waiting? We moved several times and the last area we sat for close to 2 hours. It was a totally exposed area, no privacy, with patients and staff all over in close proximity. Groups of staff hanging out talking and laughing while we just sat there. They were stocking and doing menial tasks quite often. We were there and were 100% ignored for almost 2 hours. No exaggeration! No pleasantries what so ever. I finally told someone we were leaving. We were told the PA was going to be there soon. This game continued for about half an hour. NOONE asked my daughter how she was doing? They came in , took sutures out gave a few bits of info. No apologies! No asking how she was doing with her ankle. She was deeply offended. We found out they had her as a 'no show' and they did not realize she was there. We had papers, we were moved to different waiting rooms and we were right there in plain sight!! Didn't know she was there? It was a horrible experience and can say we will not be going back there. Nothing wrong with her surgery or her doctor but the experience at that building was ridiculous!CAS

"My doctor doesn't care about me and nothing will change". That's what my friend keeps saying after fighting while recovering and getting no respect or response after multiple attempts to get help and appropriate medicine. The direct quote from the surgeon was "you don't have to agree with me and you can leave me a bad review" instead of having an actual conversation with the patient. Yesterday this guy was over AN HOUR late to our set appointment and stayed for less than 5 minutes. No apology and not even an attempt to pretend he cares. Avoid Dr Cory Czajka unless you wanted to have your calls ignored, your medicine not being refilled and him sending you home the day of surgery. I know A LOT of people go home the day of surgery, but this person ended up in the hospital and then going to a rehab hospital for SIX WEEKS because he said "be careful and you'll be fine". She was NOT fine. He doesn't return phone calls and when the visiting nurse was asking how the meds were going and pain management and we said the refills were refused, without being told the surgeon, she guessed.Jamie Boughton

Let me start with the positive. PA Ken was excellent. Personable, polite, wonderful personality and professional. I salute him and always wish him the best in all he does. Also I was seen on time and was there for 1 hour. Now 2 things I will change. The girl at the front desk with the exaggerated eye lashes. Rude. She needs to take a customer service class. If someone walks up to you you do not just stare at them. The least you can do is say good morning or afternoon. I asked for a pen i never received one. I also ended up having to pay $90 for a physical although online it allowed me to take a front/back picture of my insurance and said I can pay that way. It had me do multiple steps only to tell me I have to pay out of pocket for a physical. But the light skin girl at the front desk had 0 personality and is not someone that you want to see when you walk into an office, emergent or not. Thanks to the polite petite black girl and PA Ken! I was greeted by a respectful and cheerful reception associate. She was efficient and thoughtful throughout the check in phase and offered to call me when an exam room was ready. I was able to wait in my car. The exam room was ready within the anticipated time frame and the exam room was clean and comfortable. My only objection was there was a reality TV show ( not for my taste) running while I waited to be examined and I was uncertain about turning it off. The Dr examining me was courteous and in my opinion went above and well beyond my expectations. Bravo to her too! She made sure the problem was resolved and suggested a tetanus shot. I hadn't even thought of it and I was very pleased she did. Thanks to everyone there who helped out.Joyce Bouchard

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this urgent care clinic. I would highly recommend scheduling online, so you can completely avoid any wait. I was in and out of this facility within an hour and twenty minutes, which is practically unbeatable in my experience. I got all the prescriptions I needed, a doctor's note for my work, and the staff were incredibly kind and great listeners. Just to note, they do not have ultrasound equipment, so you have to go to a hospital or another practitioner for that. I hope you go here for any non-emergency medical needs!Hannah Williams

Very disappointed in the State of WellNow's Urgent Care. My wife was sick and unable to wait for hours in an emergency room. We went to 3 of their sites in the Capitol district. One, said they ONLY provided asymptomatic testing for COVID (why are you calling yourself URGENT CARE, if you don't provide care) The second location didn't have a doctor on staff and the 3rd on North Greenbush Road told us there would be a minimum of a 5hr wait, we couldn't make an appointment because they "didn't do appointments", all while 3 of the "nurses" were standing up front gossiping with NOONE in the parking lot or waiting room. I pointed this out and was told "we don't allow anyone to wait here". So, no appointments, no waiting but a 5 hr wait time? No URGENT CARE. Don't waste your time going here!!! Worst experience I have ever had with a "health care provider". I requested an appointment only needing a covid test due to exposure, not the first time visiting a WellNow for this service, but this time I was met with push back by staff members stating I needed to see a physician. I requested multiple times all I needed was a covid test due to exposure. When leaving the facility I was told by the PA "Next time you need a covid test go to a Walgreens and don't waste my time". Like others have experienced they try very hard to perform additional services, even when declined repeatedly, just so they can charge you more. Even after declining and not receiving those extra services I still got billed for it. Take their own PA's advice and go somewhere else!taylor mcmillen

I’ve been to the urgent care twice in the past few months and both times the service was very good. Despite having a lot of patients, the receptionists and nurses brought me to an exam room pretty quickly. Once in the room there is a tv which helps pass the time, however the doctors came in after a short wait so I didn’t watch it very long. The doctors I had were great and they were willing to spend time with me even though they were busy. Dr Bethany Meyers treated me last time and she was great. I definitely recommend the well now in East Greenbush for your medical needs.Matt Coleman

Seems like a nice place, very diverse although the concrete architecture is not for me. Really nice fountain and good school for law, computer science, and math. I am giving this school a 1 star.. The only thing I loved about this whole experience was my instructor Mrs. Trina with the nail tech program.. Albany tech materials needs to be up to par, schools usually be about their students but this one is mainly about the money. I had to talk with someone in the registrar office on why I didn't receive My official graduation email and they had no freaking idea as to why I didn't receive it. My GPA is a 4.0 and I was told by someone in the registrar office on grad fest that I was considered for honor grad and was redirected to go to the business office to pay for a honor sash and I did just that, I picked up my cap and gown and received my sash from MS. Hawkins. Fast forward to the day before graduation a former student who was in my summer classmate asked me why I didn't come to the honor's day program well for 1 didn't receive not one email or call or nothing so I reaches out to the registrar office to speak with ms Hawkins on why I haven't received an email about the honor's day program, so I sent her an email and asked her about it, she responded that only students with degrees or diploma is eligible for honors. So when I responded back to her email she has not responded back to me and when I called to speak with the president no one will return my call. Pictures are included.. You say because I am in a certificate program I am ineligible for honors if that's the case why did you tell me I qualified and sent me to buy this sash I am wearing in my picture that I am including. This is the worst place to continue your education. First, if you believe anything these people say I feel really bad for you. The faculty takes forever to get your business handled. Don't come here if you need Special Services because those only kick in when you are failing as well. The bus is a loud, broke down, no A/C death trap that takes forever and is always having issues with time. You should have a full time job while you go here because you will spend all your money and need loans. The financial aid is screwed up and they blame the government not the fact that they purposefully mess your money up to make more from you taking out loans you will NEVER see when you need money for supplies. The events are so wasteful, throwing away food because no one wants to hang out at school. If you go here take online classes so you don't have to come on campus and deal with people and drama that in 24-7. A bunch or ignorant animals is the way some of these students behave and then the people who want and education have to struggle. They told me that if I can not find a job they would give me a free reeducation, they just make you take out loans and watch you fail because you don't get your loan money when you need your school supplies.M Michele

I strongly feel that the admin staff at this school do not give any regard for their students. When taking an online class, I was randomly withdrawn for the class right before the final, after completing all the coursework and of course paying for the class itself. There was no communication given to me of why this happened, or any apologies. In fact, I was unable to complete the class as I could not write the final if not registered. I understand that mistakes happen but this is completely unacceptable. The mistake could have been remedied by a follow-up on the college's end, and communication should have entailed as soon as the error occurred. The incident has lead me to feel Albany Technical college gives no regard for student's personal success, well-being or degree completion. If the school would like to follow up on this issue, I am happy to discuss ways to amend the situation, although it is little too late at this point. Went to the stadium, my son won some tickets. We sat in the last row of bleachers on the home dugout side. The ushers were friendly, we were escorted to our seats upon asking directions to our seating area. Many activities happened in-between innings, t shirts were tossed and lucky members of the crowd got to play games on the field. Big focus on alcohol, many areas to buy your beverages of choice. One food area seemed to close early, pretty normal sight in our travels past COVID-19. Bathrooms were clean, well stocked. Food was good, my son says it's his 4th best burger he has ever had. He bought one before leaving. The reason for the 3 star is the dead mouse under my seat and the red bugs on the cement wall infront if the seats. It's a outdoor venue, I understand, but seeing the ushers collect trash makes me wonder if the stands get swept.Kylee Playz

Wow this place has garbage staff. They specialize in making education difficult or even damn near impossible to register and navigate their trash course listings. I’d expect more from a community college with so much money. They dare call themselves a “pioneer” in online education. Hogwash! Listen, don’t listen to me—check it out for yourself. You’ll be disappointed with their offerings. Then again, they pay their staff dog wages so what should I expect? EDIT: 2 months later… still garbage staff. Unable to fix the simplest of issues. Terrible availability of college associates, and their technology issues are rampant and lacking security. I’d rather just send all my personal info directly to hackers in the PRC. Went to the County Folk Art Festival on a Friday night this time. Not too crowded, and lots of Fall craft items for sale. And a few Christmas craft items too. I saw a couple of things that I kind of liked, but I must have been more hungry than I thought. I bought some very good. Amish snickerdoodle cookies and a couple of nice chocolate sticks. The college it self is very huge and clean I like there because the air is so pure, everything looks nice. My college back in the day. CUNY tuition is still great compared to private university choices. Offering two year degrees that can Transfer to bachelor's degree within the CUNY system or SUNY. I had a very good x-ray tech, she was friendly, and efficient. But that's where it stops! Make sure you check your billing, and ask questions about charges! I got a bill from them, and I called to pay it, which was for my $30 co-pay. When they looked up my account, they said I owed $90. I called to have someone in billing explain this to me, and was told someone from billing would call me back. Three weeks and three phone calls later, I was finally able to speak to someone. She said that three radiologists read my x-rays, and I owe a $30 co-pay for each one!! What??? Is this a joke, like "how many people does it take to screw in a light bulb?" Like are you kidding me!! I was billed three co-pays for the same visit! Three Radiologists billed my insurance for the same thing!! Something about this is just not right! So I called the main number and asked if their policy was to have more than one Radiologist read x-rays. She asked for my info then came back and said, "You had 3 x-rays." Seriously? Then she proceeded to tell me that I only owed $30. So, yesterday I received another bill that was dated right after my conversation with billing. The bill is for $90, with no credit for the $30 I already paid! This whole thing is shady to say the least! I will NOT go back there for anything! Beware!Bella Capozzo

My urologist ordered a KUB X-Ray and an Ultra sound. I was impressed when I called to ask questions (several times over a few days including the morning of) about concerns about radiation and number of pics, etc. as well as the protocol for drinking fluids ahead of the ultra sound. and think I spoke to every receptionist there and all were very informative, respectful and kind. I went in 10 min. before my appt. and filled out a quick info sheet and waited about 5 min. before Nicole the ultra sound tech came out to get me. She was very upbeat, respectful and friendly, also very efficient and quick getting the test done. Then she transferred me over to Christine the X-Ray tech who was equally as friendly and respectful. She was asking me about why I was there from the out room while I was waiting for the x-ray and came out and said it was done! Very professional, I would recommend them to anyone.Michael Lamkin

I've had a few different tests here, mostly MRIs. The staff has always great with walking me through the procedures we are about to do. They make me very comfortable and are quite friendly. my favorite thing though, is how fast they get the results to my doctor. Way faster than any other radiology place around. Hospital, techs, nurses I'd give a 4. But has anyone had the bad luck of having to stay a night at the stratton inn on the 9th floor ?? Yes its free, yes that helps when you have 2 visits back to back and can't afford gas to drive it 4 times.BuT.. The inn is horrible. It is clean that's why a 2 rating . we were lied to and told my husband and I could order our food from choices they would have. WRONG the vet gets a tray but no choice of what it is, the caregiver or wife like me does not. Instead they plopped a can of soup on the counter and there ya go. Next the beds are rock hard so if you have back, hip or stroke problems don't even try. There is one public shower and only a few rooms have a toilet. The thermostat read 79 and a.c. was non existent. And window opened about 3 inches.there is WiFi but no internet so if you bring a nook or laptop or phone without data leave it in the car.so couldn't get in touch with family to let them know their dad was ok. Phone in room would not call out and when I asked how to do it ,got snapped at and told and told this isn't a hotel you know. Yes I know its not,its a space to stay when there's a need but is it really worth it when what your told is lies and rudeness is rampant.. Never again . we left came home and will borrow the funds to get back again.Laurie Russell

This hospital is disorganized, poorly run, and it’s hard to navigate the system. If you call with questions or have questions about your care when they call you, immediate shutdown and the person rushes off the phone. Trying to figure out which office to speak to about different needs results in an all day affair and having to speak to multiple different people. I’m frustrated by the lack of professionalism from every department I’ve dealt with at this center and have called Patient Advocate multiple times with no resolution. I’m shocked at how female veterans are treated at this facility and even more shocked at the lack of resources for veterans with PTSD and mental health challenges. This is not the first VA I’ve dealt with and I promise that you can do better. Please, do better. My life literally depends on you doing better because I’m tired of calling the suicide hotline after dealing with this facility.Jess Anglin

It surely isn't what you expect when you think of " The VA" . From the moment I arrived in the ER until I was discharged a few hours later, it was nothing but first class service and care unlike any I have ever experienced. Every single person was friendly, understanding and compassionate. The CT and Ultrasound Techs needed to be called in after working all day, and my primary nurse was being mandated to work till midnight. Despite the hardship on their end, they were amazing, and not only to me, but to each individual under their care. Veterans are being served well by the wonderful folks at the Stratton VA…thanks to all of you!Michael DelGiacco

And from there they were again sent to the central reception. I almost missed my appointment. But, to my annoyance, I waited for my ultrasound for about an hour! Instead of getting to the ultrasound by 9-20 in the morning, I only got the ultrasound at 10-15. I was noticed only after I myself asked why I was waiting so long. Today was the first time at this facility and I have to say I was extremely impressed.. Not only was everybody so friendly, it was spotless and they take Covid very seriously and felt very comfortable. Yasmine was my ultrasound tech and she was outstanding! pretty good, classrooms are a bit of a squeeze… especially for covid 19 times… But it has benches outside a lot of the classrooms which is nice! The bottom automatic doors are closed right now heading out next to the building next to the library, which is annoying, but overall, 4 stars all around.Anna R.C
