Have seen around a dozen Drs since 2002 for my bipolar. But Laura Croft is probably the worst & biggest waste of time. Never felt like she listened, always 45+ mins late. Appointments never more than 10 mins either from her being so far behind or her just rushing me. Which every appointment she would make me sit while id have to help her look for my pharmacy in her system cus she could never find it when its been the same CVS at least a decade, then make me wait while she called the pharmacy (most of our appointment was sitting in quiet) Went to her for a year and she still never learned my name. Fav appointment was when she was over an hour and a half late & the receptionist made me sign a paper saying I would be charged extra for being late. When telling the receptionist I was going somewhere else she scoffed & gave me attitude. Just a waste of timedarrin clark

I have been going here for about two years and seeing Andrew. He has been incredible. I always had difficulty connecting and trusting my mental health professionals, though I did my best to remain open and honest. With Andrew, he took the time and patience to truly earn both. I feel comfortable with him and comforted. At the same time, he challenges me and helps me to grow and progress rather than allowing me to stagnate in my comfort zone. EMDR in particular changed my life and even though we have long since moved to regular talk therapy, I feel as though I have continued to improve and learn about myself in ways I doubt I could have without intervention. Summit Community Councling staff is amazing to work with..always greeted with a smile in person or phone. My therapist is Brian Cherry! Hands down the best of the best! 10 stars! The Children’s Center really is the best of the best. All of the staff are compassionate and very knowledgeable. I’ve seen firsthand the amazing good that they do for children and their families. They truly send children off better than they found them, with better coping skills and more developmental and emotional soundness. Their approach is individualized and evidence based, which is perfect for the wide range of difficulties the children are potentially facing. And because TCC is a nonprofit, they have the ability to subsidize costs for families who normally wouldn’t be able to afford traditional counseling. I had worked for 2 months at the Center and my time there was wonderful. The children within the classroom I was in were well supported by the classroom teachers and kept safe if necessary. They helped the children reach goals and graduate. The staff made the atmosphere very welcoming to all children and always found ways to make activity time become important teaching moments for each kid. The teachers were extremely patient with the kids as well and always prioritized their safety and well being.Bio

Unfortunately their billing doesn't match up with their providers. My husband is a very forgetful person and he forgot to cancel an appointment. When he called they said 1 no show appointment would be covered at no charge. Then he got sick with pneumonia and forgot about his next appointment. We received a call from their billing telling us that both these visits would need to be paid for out of pocket at $170.00 each visit. We can't afford this and were using our benefits to pay for the visits in the first place. We were able to get 1 charge removed but the other they would not dismiss. I am very disappointed in their billing policies which is unfortunate because the therapist was so good at helping my husband. I would not recommend them for this reason. If their billing was as good as their providers I would feel differently. I can understand needing to have people cancel in a certain time frame but I feel like having someone miss such a small amount and being charged so much is ridiculous.Maria Gildersleeve

My experience with UCEBT has been top of the line. I have struggled with major depression, PTSD, OCD, an eating disorder, self harm, anxiety and I sought the help of Robin Lange after years of various treatments/different therapists which somewhat helped but didn't keep me afloat. I have lived my whole life thinking something was wrong with me and I was upset I wasn't living the life I wanted to live. Seeing Robin for therapy has been great for me as an overall person – not just for the diagnoses I was dealing with. I have been really thankful for how available my therapist is; she is an expert in trauma/psychology and has been available to help me through difficult things. While seeing Robin for therapy I completed a software engineering program, stopped drinking, my self esteem is so much better, independence has increased significantly, PTSD has decreased significantly, I'm a better friend, and I am a lot happier. I was told I could have a discounted rate because my mental health was keeping me from working. Then I was told I would be matched with a practitioner to meet my needs. So when it was someone who charged $100 a visit, that seemed like they felt I needed a psychologist, not a student. I used half of what my mom gave me when she died. That’s what I was living on. My therapist was brand new and didn’t seem to know how to help me. I dislocated and she just sat there saying I was scaring her and she didn’t know what to do. I would think a place like this should know how to help someone with panic. She said it’s my fault for not mentioning the thing about the money, although I did and had showed them my tax returns. So, i was out of options and ready to end everything because I was broke and feeling helpless. Out I money, and apparently even the most up to date treatment center can’t help me.K G

I wanted to take a minute and express how grateful I am for Early Life Child Psychology and especially for Jenn Zeuschner. Jenn has been seeing my 2 girls for almost a year now, shortly after my divorce. She has helped them deal with the feeling and emotions of divorce but even more importantly she has helped us to realize meltdowns that were associated with every day situations (meltdowns we have dealt with for several year)were due to anxiety! She also recognized the fact that there were struggles in attention. She recommended cognitive and educational testing that we were able to do right here at Early Life. We were able to work with Dr. Thompson who is great as well and received diagnosis' and recommendations on how to deal with the struggles we have. Now, thanks to Jenn's expertise the change in my girls is astounding. They have a new found confidence. Jenn has given them coping skills on how to handle their anxiety in their therapy sessions but in a fun and understandable way. My girls look forward to going to therapy because they feel that Jenn genuinely cares about them and will do what is in their best interest. After seeing the changes in my girls, I also decided to start therapy with Jenn. I am blown away with all that she has helped me progress through in a short 6 months time. I have been amazed that she doesn't have me just talk though my problems but also has helped me find the root of my issues and help me process though past traumas. It has been incredible to find a therapist who actually wants to help you heal and not just cope. I have felt that every session has been time and money well spent. I am also excited that Early Life offers free parenting seminars! I attended one recently taught by Jenn and Vivian. It was on how social media, devices and video games affects adolescence. I was amazed at the amount of information they provided along with ways to help our children use devices responsibly. They had a packet of everything presented along with resources and ideas for contracts for our children, to take home. It was awesome! I would absolutely recommend attending! My two daughters have seen several different providers at this clinic. They have all been kind and caring and competent, but Jenn Zeuschner in particular has been an incredible fit for helping them deal with their mental health challenges. We have been to several other practices and providers over the years and have learned that it is really important to find the therapist that fits well with your child. A really amazing therapist that doesn’t click with your child is not going to be as effective and will not seem like an amazing therapist to you. Jenn has been a great fit for my girls. She is caring and concerned and truly wants them to learn the skills needed to be successful on their own. She is also honest and holds them accountable for their actions or lack thereof. She has a great rapport with them, and my girls like coming to see her. Jenn also is good at treating my kids as individuals, and realizes that even though they are siblings and appear to have the same issues, they are different people with different reasons/causes for their seemingly similar struggles. Jenn is great at keeping me in the loop on how things are going, if there are specific concerns I should be aware of, suggesting ways that I can help at home, and being honest about it all. I also really appreciate that she supports me as the parent, by understanding and respecting our family culture and by talking positively about me to my kids and reinforcing to them my desire to love and help them to be happy, healthy, and successful. Jenn is often thinking ahead and thinking of different approaches to take to help keep progress moving forward. Her goal is to teach my daughters the skills they need to be independent and not need to continually be in therapy. At the same time she is ready and willing to have them come back as needed to check-in or deal with specific issues or situations as they arise, whether on a short-term or longer-term basis. I am also impressed by Jenn’s continuing education and desire to be a better therapist as she works on her Ph.D. I am so grateful we found Jenn. She has made and is continuing to make a huge difference in my girls’ lives and for our entire family as well.Angela Cummings

It took a month to get the first intake appointment with the psychologist. Then it took another month to get an appointment with the therapist after that. When we met with the therapist she asked our reasons for coming and I asked her if the psychologist gave her the notes from that first intake appointment? She said no. After a few appointments I asked the therapist if she had gotten the notes from the psychologist yet and she still didn't have them. So I asked what the point of that first appointment was if they don't communicate. That first appointment was a waste of money. It was continually difficult to get appointments with the therapist. Appointments were inconsistent. Therapist had almost no availability. After a couple of appointments the therapist suggested we medicate our child. We were not ready for that and they had not officially diagnosed her! When we told her we weren't ready to do medication she suggested we pause counseling. I told her I didn't want to pause counseling because I believe counseling could help with her many issues and the therapist sounded like she didn't think she could help our daughter with her focus problems if we weren't going to medicate her so she wanted us to quit. After both my kids had about 15 appointments with the therapist they switched my kids to another therapist without asking me. We spent a few months establishing a relationship with the therapist, and then they were going to have to start all over with a new therapist. All that time and money wasted! In addition to all that, their scheduling system is very poor. They have two different systems they use for scheduling so I would get phone calls asking me to reschedule my appointments when I didn't actually have an appointment. I would call to change an appointment and it didn't get saved so I didn't get the new appointment time. This place was very frustrating!!!Erin R

I took two classes: The Silk Road which was very interesting and informative. The instructor was very knowledgeable and interacted very well with the class. The other was Professor Steensma on the author Wallace Stegner. It was excellent and gave us so much information about the author and also about his activities in Salt Lake. I've taken gardening design and food and wine classes from Lifelong Learning, project management classes from Professional Education, and design software classes from Technology Education. I can say without a doubt that you can learn anything at Continuing Education and it's always my first stop when I'm looking for a class, whether it's for fun or for work.Jodi Emery

I love the U of U!! Since I was a child we played in the fountains at the library. Took classes and enjoyed them very much!! My son got his bachelor's in kinesiology there and loved it. My father got a teaching degree there. My sister got a Pharmacy degree there. My daughter is currently getting an engineering degree there. My sister got a math teaching master's there. I absolutely do not recommend attending the business school at University of Utah. I am a Junior at the school and I graduate in December. I am a 3.55 student and I do put effort towards my classes to get the most out of them. Here are the reasons why you should attend a different school. 1. BCOR. You will hear about this program when you sign up for classes. BCOR is a set of courses at are specific only to the U. They represent basic classes like Finance, Entrepreneurship, Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Accounting. BCOR is the exact same curriculum as these classes. For example, BCOR 3020 Finance is the same as a finance class it is replacing. However, the BCOR class is NOT transferable in or out of the U. So if you take 5 BCOR classes your first year, you are a semester behind if you try to transfer. Keep in mind, they are THE EXACT same curriculum other than this entry BCOR 1010 super entry level class. They may try to make it sound special, it’s not. 2. Upper Division Tuition. Beware of this before you attend the U! The U does have access to this knowledge so they don’t necessarily hide it. I personally looked up average tuition for the university of Utah and it said $8000 a year. In high school, I didn’t think to look further into what I would be paying. (I paid $10500 last semester for 18 credits) ~ $17,000/year. I’m taking two summer classes this summer and it’s $4350. Upper division tuition starts your sophomore year and nothing has been very advanced and I have 21 credits left. Schools like ASU do not have this, it’s not an all around thing by the way. 3. Curriculum. Every time you tour a school they give you some good sounding statistic. “The University of ABC has the best business school in the coordinates between 1256.43 latitude, 3287.31 longitude in the Northeast side of the United States.” Anyways, whatever the U told me, I felt proud and accomplished to go there. That is, until I found myself thinking about what I learned after my first year-not really anything. I remember learning some basic excel, accounting, and economics. But not much more than a few YouTube videos worth. I am graduating in less than 12 months and I’d say I’ve had a few good classes and actually did enjoy my last semester, but there’s honestly not much special about this school’s program. Especially for paying double the tuition. 3. Business scholars. My last point I’ll talk about and it’s more for a specific course. I remember driving up to Utah and the university called me and asked if I wanted to join business scholars for an extra $1000/semester (now I think $2000/semester) It sounded so exclusive and cool! Company tours, traveling to Boeing, business presentations! I showed up on the first day of business scholars and there were so many students that they had to have two sections in the largest lecture room. We had some great trips, the trip to Seattle was truly awesome! We did one other company tour in the first semester to C.R. England. There were organized sections and every few weeks we had a good business presentation. Why am I upset about this? Well I’m not as furious about it as the other reasons, but it’s worth a read if you are considering joining. You are paying a lot more to take this extra class, you do gain some presentation skills and you get to learn a little about the different aspects of business. In our second semester, we did a ski day at brighton and due to Covid, we were sent home half way through the semester without ever doing company tours or allowing anyone to go to the Bryce/Zions trip. They refunded $0 which is extremely upsetting given they didn’t even provide any company tours or the trip. They straight pocketed some of that cash. Even if they could only refund each student $100 due to the cancellation in transportation costs, they should have done it. In accounting I learned that you can’t recognize revenue unless the service has been provided, so I don’t know where they put that on their balance sheet(; Google is telling me this review is getting too long so good luck!(:Caleb Meyer

Once you start taking BCOR classes, you can't transfer out, and then they charge you double your tuition with upper division tuition from sophomore year and up. Saw Dr. John Fang in an emergency procedure at the U of U Med Center. He was the most rude and unprofessional doctor I've every had the misfortune to see. I was terribly sick, and because he had to do emergency procedures on me on a Sunday, he was rude and unprofessional and when he yanked on a tube I had in me, he caused me to choke and get much sicker. This guy should lose his license!!! He is the chief of this department which is hard to believe!barbara kennedy

He has loved all of his professors and doctors that he has worked with so far and feels prepared for Step 1. We have loved our experience at the U so far. It is a lot of money but it is well spent. Horrific experience! Dr Mark Schwei should not be working with children PERIOD! I am so mad that my poor son, who was already depressed, left feeling worse instead of better. We waited for 2 1/2 months for this appointment, filled out five hours worth of extensive paperwork, and he was anything BUT understanding and kind. He was emotionally abusive! He made my son so nervous and got mad at him when he answered a question and then changed his answer and Dr Schwei let out a long, hard, disgusted sigh. My 11 year old son had a hard time explaining something and he said, “I don’t understand what you mean by that, you are an artist, so paint me a picture in words. My fifth grader had no idea how to answer him and the doc wouldn’t help him in any way to try and understand. His office was a maze to get to and he told my son he better figure out how to get to his office because he would need to bring his mom back. He made my son lead me back to his maze, while he walked behind me. When we left, my son told me when he went back to his office to talk first with him, the doc told him to pay attention where to go because you will have to find it on your way back to get your mom. My son said he'd go one way and the doc would say, NO. Then he'd try another and he said, No and then he tried another and he said good job. Why in the world would you put pressure on a child that way on the very first appointment???The first thing the doc says to me was that my son said I was a homemaker, then says,…. did you do ANYTHING else before?!! I felt like he was shaming me for not working and I thought that was strange. He made my son leave the room while we talked and when we came out, my son was standing up and the doc said, WHY ARE YOU STANDING UP?!! My son said he heard us coming. Then the doc said, WERE YOU LISTENING 👂🏻 BY THE DOOR TO HEAR WHAT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT???? He said no, and then the doc said, well … I would have. The doc asked me if there was one thing he could do to help. I’m NOT SURE WHY HE ASKED ME since I filled out 40 papers worth of questions that clearly stated what we needed. But I told him we needed help with the significant weight he gained on Prozac. He then told me Prozac does not cause weight gain. (Anyone can google and find that Prozac is notorious for weight gain) I told him I didn’t think he COULD help me if he believes that because I've seen many people gain weight on Prozac. The office staff looked miserable and didn’t smile once. We felt less than welcome. I was having anxiety while my son met in a room alone with Dr Mark Schwei, and after hearing what happened when my son and I were driving home and after meeting him myself and talking to him, it all made sense. My mom alarm was going off that he was not good for him. When I called in to make an appt with this place, the intake nurse was great and told me she would match me with the perfect psychiatrist to best help my son. I was thrilled to hear that but was extremely disappointed when I met with him and saw what a terrible doctor he was in every way. It’s a disgrace to the Primary Children’s good name to have this doctor associated with them. I hope and pray NO OTHER CHILD will have him as their psychiatrist.Heidi Peterson

I was required by my long term disability insurance company to go see Jonathan bone who only saw me once. He asked me a few questions, had me fill out a few forms and then quickly dismissed me. He did not care about me or my situation – not even in the slightest. All he cared about was cashing that fat check from MetLife LTD for helping them deny me the benefits that I paid into through my employer. Jonathan bone went against my doctor who I have been seeing for quite some time and stated that I was not disabled, when my doctor has been telling MetLife since day one that I am disabled and tried to explain to them the severity of my disability. Jonathan bone basically called me and my doctor both liars and ran to the bank with that check in his hand from MetLife. Now I have no income and no way to pay for my Healthcare, not to mention rent, food or anything else.William Taylor

I have to agree w this last reviewer. I know someone who had a very similar experience. Jonathan Bone is more interested in monetizing his clients than helping them. It's a shame when the privilege of helping those in need degenerates into a money grab. Doing a little digging on Google I found a few other reports regarding his conduct and behavior. I would urge other to do the same before selecting him. Certainly I think there are serious potential risks in picking the wrong counselor.Jack Stevens

I got a degree from here that an employer is yet to care about. In hind site the classes should focus more on patient care and actual real world applicability as opposed to these loose theoretical abstractions.
