We were working on our project (Our Green Hope) today where we used 3000 reusable bags to make the largest mosaic. The worker at the campus were friendly and supportive. After finishing the project, all the 3K bags were given for FREE at Kroger to encourage people to start using reusable bags instead of plastic grocery bags. I had an excellent undergraduate educational experience at Immaculata University and I would highly recommend it. In the professional world, I have run into alumni from Immaculata and I'm finding it no coincidence that these individuals are talented, intellectual, and ethical (perhaps the biggest differentiator). It was very clear to me that the staff genuinely care about the current and future success of the student body. This beautiful private campus is set in the picturesque countryside of Malvern, Pennsylvania along King Road. Once an all girl school, Immaculata will forever hold bragging rights to the first ever women's collegiate basketball champions, The Might Macs! Spending almost 4 years at Immaculata University has been a great experience. This college sits by itself on King Road which makes it nice for no distractions. Immaculata is fortunately right near Exton and King of Prussia Mall, so it is easy to get away when needed. If you get the chance to go make sure to visit the National Shrine Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes, it's a very beautiful place. If i could legit give ZERO STARS, I would. This is NOT… I repeat NOT a good school. If you are design/business major the staff do NOT work with you and the accommodations are a joke. You have to re-do them all again next semester. Secondly… the RA's #do not do their job. We had a huge issue in our dorm building and restrictions had been in place for the people who were causing the issues not to come back into the building. The RA's allowed them back into the building, saying they were… "Safe" to be in the building. The building muse is even WORSE. the staff there don't take care of all the fights and drug use that happens there. Two of my friends were sexually assaulted in that building and left Radford because of it. I can't speak for other dormatories, but Muse and Trinkle are NO GO'S. People are very rude and try to start drama with you and also… if you do come to this school, please PLEASE lock your bedroom doors…. people like to steal! Also the graduate teachers are the WORST. I've had a few, all if whom didn't like their students. They're mucj younger teachers, fyi. I only have one grad student professor who is a decent human being. Also people here are really racist. There's so much racism and fights here, it's insane. It's better to pick another school if possible, Especially when it comes to safety. The staff do NOT care about your safetyM B

Radford University is a great place to go to college for someone that is looking for a great education, great facilities, an exciting campus life, and a friendly and united community. As an international student I've had a great experience in my two years that I've been studying at Radford. The faculty is great, well knowledgeable in their subjects, and are always willing to help you, the student life on and off campus is fun, the smaller class sizes enable you to learn better and enable you to get to know your professors, the campus is beautiful, the facilities are mostly modern and well equipped. The university is constantly investing and working in improving the quality of education, the competitiveness of the school, and resources that we have, and it is clearly getting better every time. This school is truly a fraud! They are claiming to support the military and Join the Yellow Ribbon Program to get the recognition but the actual support is not even pennies against this multi-million dollar school. This program was built to assist in financially supporting Military and Family Members to attend schools out-of-state and abroad at a rate comparable, if not equal, to in-state students and help overcome the hardships of military families constantly moving in support of our nations freedom. It is a joke they are calling themselves Yellow Ribbon Program members; offering a measly $1000 against a $25,000 annual out-of-state tuition difference. Then to offer it to only 2 undergraduates and 2 graduates in a school of over 10,000!!….Really? I can get a better military discount at Waffle House! They are making a mockery of a Program that is TRULY built to SUPPORT our troops!!!John Chisolm

My son recently graduated from this college. He transferred in from a 2 year college so he was only there for 5 semesters. Things started okay but went downhill. Communication quickly became a problem. We had issues from professors, finance and counseling. It became so bad that to get anything done we had to cc the Dean in any messages that we sent. I also know of someone else who had to do the same thing. The last semester was the worst. He was enrolled as a full time student but when the bill came through it was in correct. We got loans for the first amount but had to get additional loans after the semester ended. No one sent an email we had to check the account because my son never received an email or his diploma. When we were notified by the finance department they told us we had to fix it. Numerous emails were sent to many different people but nothing was ever fixed. We finally resent the emails and cc’d the Dean and it finally got fixed. The college also changed the advisor without notifying us that it had changed. My son had to find his own internship and figure his classes out on his own. My daughter had the same issues with communication. She was signed up to go but never heard back. She then got a call from the advisor asking why she never showed up. The advisor had enrolled her in classes but never told her. She ended up not going. If you choose this college they will take your money but you will have to do a lot of work to make sure they are on top of things.Todd Crossett

I graduated from Roberts last year and I had a great experience. I do agree with some reviews that communication is not always great, but as long as you are proactive and take an active approach to your education here, you'll do wonderfully. The staff and students are very respectful and the professors seem to really care about you and your overall success. It is a nice size campus, not too busy and not too small. I went to undergrad here and loved it. There were always opportunities to learn outside of class, meet people through activities, and my professors knew who I was. Annoying town to live in. Southern hospitality doesnt exist in Boone. Its full of stuck up hippies. Counting down the days till I transfer to Colorado. If you're transferring here, good luck. My girlfriend has been petitioning classes that they haven't counted since she first got here. They're screwing her out of 27 credit hours that she finished at her old school. Math department is atrocious. I'm in college algebra now and the teacher lost my first test because she took priority in grading a 2 page paper on success before she graded the test. Also, if you're coming here to watch football, the atmosphere sucks. More than half of the crowd is out of the stadium before halftime. Hardly anyone actually cares about the team, they just use it as an excuse to tailgate and get trashed in a public parking lot.Chris King

Was a very good experience. Best was the faculty, who are from all over the country and internationally as well. I attended another college for a second degree after ASU and had a bad experience which really highlighted how superior ASU's instruction and advice really was. They do not waste your time. If there was a downside, it was probably the fact that many of the students are from western North Carolina, so some of the perspectives were a bit of a culture shock for me. They have several excellent programs, particularly business, music, education, art, as well as some unusual programs like communications disorders.JW41926

Attending this school has been the worst experience that I have EVER had! From advisor who do not know what they are doing to transcript office personal that have very bad attitudes and are extremely rude. They also "conveniently" forget to post important dates that student need to know. After finally graduating from this school a year late, I will NEVER encourage anyone to attend this school. But, I would encourage everyone who currently attends this school to get out while they are ahead! I'm a vet and am finishing up my first semester at Liberty. So far I have had nothing but good experiences. I was nervous about going back to school after being in service for years, but the transition has been fairly easy with all of the help lve received.My instructors are very personable and go out of their way to help me with any problems I may run into. Professors are very professional and, unlike many schools, encourage students to form their own opinions. I have never felt as though any political agendas or doctrines were being forced upon me. Non Christians are treated equally well as everyone else, and are even welcomed to challenge or question anything they may disagree with. Divinity professors are more than willing to listen to other opinions and will clearly explain anything a non believer might want to know about Christianity. The campus itself is beautiful and full of fun things to do besides schoolwork. I am actually learning, rather than simply connecting dots to get a degree and that is exactly what I hoped for. Since I've gone to the school I've got to see politicians such as Nigel Farage and Donald Trump Jr., musicians like Jeremy Camp, sports stars like Brett Favre, world class entrepreneurs, and experts such as economists who advised the president. I’ve got one year to go to graduate from this place😭 Being a student at this university has been quite a wonderful experience. To be honest I think it’s one of the it’s not the most state of the art schools in the world. It’s impossible to get bored here. I will say though one thing about this place is that if you come here on fire for Jesus then you’ll find people on fire for Jesus but if you come here to party then you’ll find the party people so make of it what you want. Yes there’s been some drama here in the past few years but there’s drama everywhere and Liberty has been able to manage it pretty well I’d say. Set up a campus tour. It was 3 hours which entailed visiting the dorms and dining areas. To include the fitness and recreation center. As well the Jerry Falwell Library and Vines Center. We walked the campus for a few hours and then we rode the bus for the remainder of the tour. Everyone was friendly. The student tour guides did an excellent job. The campus was huge. It was well maintained. They have three dorm options. One to include apartments that house seven people. Freshmen are able to bring vehicles on campus. Wide selection of dining options. After spending 4 years at University of Alaska in various campuses, I am in love with Alaska Pacific's teaching style. UAA was frustrating because I felt like I was just cramming junk into my head to pass, which I did and stayed on dean's list while raising a family and working. APU teaches me not how to pass a test, but how to apply what I have learned to real world experiences that will help me in my career. The teachers double as mentors and WANT you to come to them. I give it 4 stars just because while enrollment was initially fast, it gave way to confusion because it went through too fast. Required items on my end were not met and they waived them to get me into the semester. This was not adequately communicated to me and set me back the next semester in that the items needed to be met or I could not continue. Unfortunately by the time I knew what was going on fully, it was too late for me to enroll in classes for that semester. All in all, I have WAY more gripes about UAA than I do about APU despite my one (frustrating) experience.Crystal Fierro

Update: One positive thing about this University is that they read their ratings. About a month or two months after I posted this, APU finally added their school onto Army Ignite. I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone that's in the military due to their expensive tuition and the lack of experienced VA workers. If you’re in the military (especially in the Army) then save your time. I heard great things about APU, hence why I applied to go here for the Spring semester of 2022. I’m in the Army and use Army Ignite to pay for my courses. The VA department knew that they needed to upload files to have APU available on Army Ignite and failed to so. Not to mention that this school charges around $4k a course, so you would have to be responsible to pay for some of it out of pocket. I was working on resolving this issue for A MONTH. Had I known it was going to be like this, I would’ve went to UAA. In conclusion, save your time/money.rose stephens

I graduated from APU in 2014 with my Bachelor's in Earth Science. I was beneficial enough to "stumble" across the university during my university search shortly after high school. Coming from a small town in northwest Georgia I was worried about traveling across the country and attending a small liberal arts school in Alaska, but after arriving the residence life staff and the university were beyond welcoming. The school offers "active learning" courses that give students a perspective to learning that goes beyond the confines of a classroom. During my studies, I was able to study earth science first hand from the volcanoes on the big island of Hawaii or the gold mines of Alaska. I would highly recommend the university to any perspective student that wants an active learning experience and true faculty engagement.Christopher Deen

Southern Utah University is alright. I enjoyed my time in class and had excellent professors. The president of the school was also outstanding and was a good support while I have attended here. The repository is super cool as well as the other facilities. The school sponsors some pretty neat guest speakers and artists. They also have a wonderfully cheap study abroad program which has been amazing for me and my husband. Other opportunities have been readily accessible like internships, volunteer opportunities, research opportunities and it isn’t hard to get into good programs. The professors care and want you to succeed which is amazing. All of my professors know me by name and are constantly helping me prepare for grad school. The campus is beautiful and tuition is inexpensive however there were a few things I didn’t love. Student services were awful, I usually had to go to several offices before I could get anything done. The library hours were a little pathetic on the weekends, as well as the testing center especially for someone who doesn’t have access to a computer or WiFi at home.The culture on campus wasn’t my favorite, I hated going to school some days because my beliefs were disrespected quite often. I’ve had people ask if the reason why Mormons are so depressed was because we can’t face the fact that God isn’t real, And I’ve listened to several rants about how blind and passive Mormons are, just to name a few examples. It’s a great school with awesome opportunities! Just be prepared to face a few challenges if you believe in God or have a different political view than others. Other than that I would highly recommend suu, it has been a fun few years and it is a great location for the outdoors.Jenni Horner

Southern Utah University has been a fantastic place for our children to receive a great education. It is a vastly underrated university, with tremendous opportunities for excellent students. Our children who have gone here have qualified for larger schools, even with scholarships, but have opted for Southern Utah University because of its proximity to national parks, providing world-class recreation, and because of the value for the cost of education: it's a world class education. For instance, more students place at the University of Utah Medical School from SUU than from the U of U itself! I had a great experience at SUU! I loved the smaller class sizes, personal attention from professors, and how caring the school was! I could tell that the school really cared about me as an individual and there were MANY resources that helped me with any problems I was facing. I really appreciated having the ACES program/First-Year Experience Office, the First-Generation Office, and the Center for Diversity and Inclusion. Each office assigned me an individual who was there to answer all my questions and pointed me in the right direction for resources. Baylor is an amazing school. For a few reviews before me we are not all "rich kids wanting to blow daddy's money" or "rude". I personally have a bad background that would not match the first statement. I am not rich. I am blessed to be in this university thanks to scholarships and my hard working mother. Baylor itself is a blessing. Its a rigorous school BUT very well worth it. I love being part of the Baylor community. Its a beautiful campus filled with loving people. Its not "perfect" because nothing is. There will be a few issues like yes there are some kids who don't care and my be rude or blow things off but really if you are a part of it you will see the majority of the campus and the people here are more than amazing and loving. This is a fantastic university for the liberal arts. I have talked to people from other universities and to those that have come to visit me at college, and all of them see a difference in the student body. There is just a different atmosphere. All the people are kind and welcoming and always willing to help in times of need. The professors are nationally ranked and are not only outstanding in their fields of study, but wonderful people as well. Even if you're not looking to go to college, its a beautiful campus to just walk around in. It's almost like a park in some ways. Just give it a visit and I promise you'll be hooked! I loved my time as I attended Baylor for undergrad, and grad school (2008-2015). The campus has changed so much since i first step foot in 2008 (all for the better). Baylor (and Waco) is in a resurgence/growth period. Its an awesome time for Baylor and Waco. I loved my time there even though I'm not religious (agnostic/theist). Great people (students and especially faculty), and community. There was a reason why I came back to get my masters at Baylor. They helped me get through some rough times, and i am better for it now. I visited the campus while staying in the area for the total solar eclipse in 2017. The campus was clean and safe. Internet searching showed that this was the only place in the US with white squirrels. I walked around the campus for 2 hours but only saw regular squirrels. Many students were not aware that this campus was known to have white squirrels and those who were aware said they never saw one. Just as I was about to give up, I spotted one by Potter Hall! I have graduated with five degrees from four different universities in Pittsburgh ranging from Bachelor to Doctorate degrees. I can honestly state that Duquesne was my favorite school. I received a higher quality of education and benefitted more from the smaller classes which are not offered by other schools. Most of my educators actually cared about their students and were not at all condescending (ok, there were a couple). Duquesne costs a bit more, but it was worth it. The campus is great. The classrooms; halls; and grounds are clean, traditional, and safe. My child chose to go to another school, but I would sleep better knowing that was living on campus at Duquesne rather than an apartment in Oakland. The only criticism I have is Duquesne has become more noticeably politically liberal than other Catholic schools. I’m ok with limited expression of personal liberal or conservative views, but I am disappointed when those views become a driver for the facility and administration to influence students. Some of those views have reached national attention which lowers my annual donations to the school.Jerry

We went for a campus tour today and absolutely fell in love with the campus. We are from the Pittsburgh area and I never expected the campus to be as big and charming as it is. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and the student:teacher ratio (14:1) with an average class size of 28 was a major bonus. The dorms are 2 bed frames with a desk and closet for each roommate with 2 drawers under the bed as well. They're spacious and clean. They have an amazing 4 floor workout building with every piece of equipment you could ever need! It truly is a hidden gem right in the downtown area. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still close enough to enjoy downtown amenities. I don't see how any other college could top this!!Melanie Phillips

I would not recommend this school, I am truly and whole heartedly regretful of choosing this school over all of the other options I had. Something about this school stood out to me, and the counselors here try really hard to get you in. I do not identify with Christian faith and I am not religious at all so I initially felt weird about going to this school, but they mention multiple times that they accept all faiths and backgrounds so I felt better. However, upon talking their forced “Christian Worldview” class, the teacher grades with an iron fist for a 101 class and is just awful. My GPA for sure was going to plummet due to this stupid 101 class that they force on you. Honestly it was so ridiculous that I felt the need to reach out to my advisor. I was trying to come up with a solution because I felt some type of way about this. I suggested them placing me with a different teacher, since this teacher has AWFUL reviews going back years yet they do nothing about it. However they pretty much told me I still had to take the class, I could not switch to another teacher (you cannot pick your own teachers by the way which is huge for me now). Their only solution was that “another teacher would review my work.” This turned me off so bad from the entire school that I ended up withdrawing due to principal which messed up my financial aid. They honestly did not care one bit and obviously know there is a problem but do nothing to address it. I was so turned off that I chose to mess up my financial aid and just pick another school, there was no way that I was finishing out my degree here after this. Go elsewhere !!Taylor

I am an Atheist. I chose this college because it had the focus I was looking for, the delivery method was fully online so I could continue to work, and the price was the best around. I did not feel like being of the Christian faith was a prerequisite. My instructors and professors were not pushy with religion, and for a master's program, I felt like I was able to learn what was necessary for the field I was in. I have a Master's degree and 2 focuses now from GCU and I couldn't be happier with my education and experience. The guidance counselors were great, the financial aid process was easy, and I'm grateful for GCU and all they have done for me.April Wittmeyer

Parking in Garage building#7 on 33rdAvewas the best for going into the areana. We had to checkin at theguard station, drive around it then enter the parking garage. Parking was allowed on the 2ndfloor and above. It was the AFHE homeschool senior graduation. The campuswas very green. The areana was building #38 there is a museum to JERRY COLANGELO here and a beautiful tripple cross monument. The restrooms are spacious and everything but the soap dispensers are automated. We heard about Chaminade University from a friend and when our daughter was accepted to Manoa and Chaminade, we flew out to tour both colleges. Both were beautiful but we were sold at the sheer “like home” feeling Chaminade offered. Everyone was so friendly and the dorms felt like a smaller scale apartment building. Don’t get me wrong Manoa was GORGEOUS and great, but the common bathrooms shared by each floor was a big concern for us. Chaminade is small enough where the teachers and staff actually know your name and there’s a wonderful support system for their students. Our daughter came from a small private school in LA and we felt leaving the mainland and coming to HI was culture shock enough; so coming to a smaller school offered some familiarity and comfort. She is now in her second semester of her second year and absolutely LOVES it! The island, the school, her 4 Roomate’s, and her new island Ohana have made this her second home, and we feel very safe with her there. I can not say enough wonderful things about this school. From the way they handled the pandemic, to their small classrooms & fun activities- it’s just amazing all around!Jorge Santiago

I loved my time at Chaminade …this was when there was still an off-campus coed dormitory called Hale Pua on King Street and we would ride our bikes to school everyday.. lots of friends.. didn't have a car at the time so we would drive w kimo Ryan and his Jeep Ryan Foo my roommate also had a car …there was Mike from New Jersey who had a motorcycle shipped out , and Jay from Alaska also had his BMW …bodysurfing at Sandy Beach..& surfing north shore …we had lots of fun back in the day this was in the 80s …I'm an old man now but I know Chaminade is still a great place… lots of fun good learning …study hard, play hard ,pray hard keep on surfing, Surf's Up, Hang Ten Aloha! I AM NOT A STUDENT. IM A TOURIST I toured this beautiful school yesterday. It was absolutely beautiful. To walk around seeing so much scripture. So many things to inspire young minds and hearts to Christ. I did not get a chance to walk around the entire campus but the places I did see were amazing. My tour guide was Robert Vann. He knew a lot of history and important things about the school. He probably knew the mission statement if I asked him. He took us into the Chapel and had so many great things to say about it. He also said, the school was a safe place for Christians. The professors and staff, knew Jesus. Frfr. They encourage a relationship with Christ. He has never been around so many different ethnicities fully in worship together. It reminded him of Heaven. He saw that we are all the same. The school opened the eyes of his heart to so many different beautiful things about ALL of the people of God. I’m not gone lie, I don’t wanna say that I would ever move back to Virginia. And I do not like school. However, after seeing the school, and hearing the Words of Mr. Vann, it makes me want to consider attending Regent. I could not have chosen a better university to finish my education as well continue with. My professors are very understanding and compassionate because we need that today in the world we live in. Even if you aren't a Christian the respect and just humbleness of all my professors and even peers has been extremely outstanding . I am speechless. My professors pray for me and at times that's what I needed the most. The School work had true meaning and purpose. You aren't just going to school just to go to school. All of it has meaning. I am excited to Start my PhD program and finish proudly as a regent Graduate. First, let me say I'm so glad I choose Regent University to study. The Professors, staff, and administration made you feel welcome. My past two years there are ones I'll cherish. The biblical principles and education I received have equipped me to go out and change the world. The Professors care about your well-being just as much as your academic development. Although the classes were online. We engaged in numerous zoom sessions and kept a level of closeness. I highly recommend Regent University to anyone seeking quality higher education. I am proud to be an alumnus of a university that takes a total interest in growing, equipping, and developing the skills of those who will Lead the world. I am a World Leader! I came here on a full tuition scholarship and spent most of my time on academic probation. Why? Because when I went to the enrollment adviser and told her that I was probably going to fail computer science, she told me that if I dropped the class that I would not be full time and not eligible for my scholarship. After I failed the class, she told me that I could have made up the credits over the summer. This tanked my GPA, but maybe she felt bad about the bad advice, which is why I probably kept my scholarship even though I was under the GPA. This school is basically a good place to go if you know what you want to do and just need a degree to do it. All in all, this is a decent school, but you have to be focused and advocate for yourself as advisement is sub par. If so, you will be fine. The clubs and activities are great. Food sucks! Dorms are decent. It could be better, but it could be worst.Danielle Lewis

It's not the worst school, but they just don't have anything that really justifies their tuition price. They're not significantly cheaper than other schools in the area and it's not a big name to people. The nursing program is supposed to be one of their best programs available but no one even talks about or recommends it. I work in healthcare in Wayne maybe 5 minutes from the campus and I feel it's pretty telling that every doctor I work with would sooner recommend Rutgers, Seton Hall or Montclair State. I never had much issue with any professors but the school's counseling and academic advisement teams are a joke. Overall, I don't think it would be a bad place to get a degree but probably wouldn't come back. Other schools nearby seem to have more to offer, a higher standard of quality, and most importantly they come with a name people want to hire from.Justin G

I would not suggest this college for people who are full time working adults. Very limited class times offered, hardly any night classes and 90% of classes are not offered online…even general education courses! They are also very unwilling to work with you if you cannot make a class during any of the times they offer. Most schools will allow you to take the class at another credited college and transfer the credits…WPU does not, not even for general education classes like math! I asked about taking three different classes at another school because of their limited class times and I got the same exact answer EVERY time…it must be taken at WPU. Why does a basic level math course have to be taken at WPU when you accepted my math class transfers from another school when I initially transferred in?!Jessica Henry

The only reason ppl go here and are willing to grossly pay for an education is the location. I went to school here and will say it is far overpriced for the education you are given. Some staff are great and really care about the education they are providing. Others just read off a powerpoint and have no interest except for a paycheck. Career services ask if you want to be reached out to and say they will help but its not in their interest. At the NYC campus the administrative and financial aid staff are blatantly rudeRyan Ryan

Pace is expensive, doesn't help the students getting internships and when the students get one on their own, Pace takes the credit. After graduating, the students don't get a job. One of their alumni just got a good job and due to she owes money, they don't give her transcripts and are retaining her title. Is not possible for Pace to help when the students really need help? This is a good school. However, the quality is almost identical to the CUNY school I attended before coming here that costed significantly less. Additionally, the lack of diversity (granted, because of how this is a private school) is also lacking. I am happy to be graduating from here from a grant through the NYC Department of Education for free, and in all I enjoyed my experience here.Mr. Luppino

IUP is a public University often called by its nick name Crimson Hawks. IUP is spread across 350 acres in Indiana town. Identified by Crimson and slate colors, thus university is a wonderful place to study. Established in 1875, IUP is a very famous Teacher Training University. The lush green campus is amazing and well organised. Well connected through free bus service inside and outside the campus. Whole staff is awesome. The university is very well managed and has a powerful network of Alumni. IUP is ever progressive and many major grants sanctioned to various departments. The university offers a good diversity and hosts students and scholars from many countries.👍👍Amit Mehta

Attended IUP for my bachelor's in education. It was a fantastic program and I could not have asked for better professors. The dorms are great, the campus is beautiful, and the town of Indiana is a beautiful small town.brilohr7

CBU is pretty rad, and I want to respond to what I've seen in a couple reviews here. The first of which is people saying the location in Riverside sucks. I'll admit Riverside is not super tight, but there is the mission inn and a drive in movie theater and a few other things which are pretty cool within a few minutes of campus. The best part of Riverside is it's less than an hour from the beach, an hour from the mountains, and hour from LA and 45 minutes from a few theme parks. So if you have a car and aren't super lazy, your weekends should be fun. And there's always fun stuff going on campus too, (dive in movie nights at the pool, intramural and NCAA sports games, concerts, carnivals etc.) so if you have a good attitude you can have fun hanging out on campus. People are saying CBU wants your money. Of course they do, so does every other university that is in business. However CBU will really work with you to help you afford the school. Get good grades, maybe go out for a sports team or the music department and you'll get even more money. You have to work for it though, they don't give out serious amounts of money to anyone. If your parents are in ministry (pastor/missionary/work full time at a church) you're in luck too cuz they have scholarships for that too. It's a Christian school… Yep. I wouldn't say intolerant though. You will be taught what they believe to be Christian values and you can only expect that. There's like 7,000 students too so I'm sure there are rude intolerant ones there too. I think you will find rude/intolerant people no matter where you go but it most definitely is not the essence of the student body. CBU has a uniquely welcoming and loving community, and that's something I've heard from Christians and non-Christians alike at the school. Both are welcome to come but both also are required to go to chapel and follow the rules. I don't agree with all the rules but most of them are a pretty reasonable balance of trying to give freedom to students and adhere to Christian principles (coming from a non-conservative Christian background). That's part of making the decision to go to a Christian university, and realistically it's probably what's best for you anyways. If anyone has anything bad to say about the food I don't know what world famous chef you had cooking for you your entire life before here. The caf has killer variety, Chik-fil-a is freaking Chik-fil-a, Wandas has great breakfast and the best steak quesadillas, and El-Monte is as good as Chipotle. CBU does give real world experience. I know as a business major there are some awesome professors that are all about real world experience. Dr. Weniger and Alderson are a couple that come to mind. You get out what you put into your classes and almost every single professor at the school is very open to spending time with you helping you out with homework or just life. Academics are pretty top tier, but professors do come and go and though most are great, some are much better than others, so do a little time looking round rate my professor if you want the best ones. CBU is great. Sure there are other universities that are great too (not to many that compare that are in Southern California though) but CBU is a well rounded school academically, socially and spiritually. No school/student body is perfect, that's just life, but CBU is a solid choice to spend 4 years growing academically and spiritually into who you are going to be the rest of your life.Jake Roque

Okay, so I went to this school originally considering a nursing degree. It's hard to have many nice things to say about this school.. The school looks nice, but the neighborhood area is crap. You have to drive kinda far to see or do anything nice. It's hardly in Riverside, CA. Feel more like Norco, armpit of California. They put most of their students in cheap housing. Much of it was temporary when I was there. Other housing was old folks homes. Weird cheap, and kinda gross. The major feature of this school is this: They want your money. That's all. It's nothing spectacular in any way, and based on the price, it's a really bad deal. They "award" small scholarships to practically any student for any reason. They try to bring in a bunch of students through their music school. A music degree is NOT WORTH 100k- 150k of debt. And please remember folks, if everybody gets a scholarship, it's not actually a scholarship. THINK about it.. They just want your attention and your money. ALSO, Please be aware they will be raising the tuition on you every year, by lots of money! If you start at 30-35k, You will probably end at 40-45k annually. It's probably costing something around or over 40 or more thousand per year now. And YOU WILL pay more than you think by the end of the year. It's a Christian school, which is fine if you're a Christian. They are relatively intolerant conservatives though. Very serious/ oppressive Christian all over the place. Many of the students are sheltered, and having moved on to a regular university, I can tell you it doesn't represent the real world experience, or normal people, for the most part. Regarding this: Don't bother going here unless you're a rich serious sheltered Christian. If that's what you value, then maybe you'll like this place. Some of the people are fairly friendly, and the food in the cafeteria was good WHEN I was there. That more than a year ago. Some of the teachers were alright as well. I mostly took science classes, for reference. In summary, if you're not a young Christian who has no desire for real-world experience,then don't go here. The price is so not worth it! It's an institution for profit! Go to your local community college and earn entrance to a great University! Even Ivy league schools are looking to replace young dropouts with students that did well in their community colleges! It's just not worth it. If you're a thinking person, you'll start hating this school not long after you get there. NOT WORTH ITMichael D. Bear

I loved all 4 years at this school! As a freshman, I lived in the dorms and met my group of closest friends that I still hang out with to this day. I loved the food and had to be careful with dessert in the cafeteria otherwise I would have packed on the calories. The school does a great job of setting up events that target every student and gives great deals for other off-campus events like cheap Lakers tickets, cheap tickets to theme parks, and other giveaways. I am Mexican and I have never once felt like I was discriminated against at this school, if anything there are plenty of people at this school who make an effort to talk about racial injustices among students. As far as the incident in Ontario, I just want to say that you can find that level of ingorance at any university and even more so outside of that setting. Two girls made a stupid decision to throw a drink on a guy and they happened to be CBU students. If I’m being real here, CBU does not turn many people away when it comes to the application process, so any person who has higher than a 2.5 GPA will most likely get in. CBU does not necessarily focus on whether you are a Christian or not because they’d rather have you here at this school than at a school where the chance of hearing the gospel is much lower. Now back to the point, CBU is honestly such a great school and if you’ve ever visited, you notice right away that the atmosphere is one that you can’t find in many other places. People treat you with love, respect, understanding, and kindness. CBU is a school that truly looks to serve the students in any way possible and that’s the truth. Don’t let others who are are upset about what happened in Ontario tear down the idea of coming to this school because you will definitely see that the number of students who will treat you with love and respect far outweighs the ones who would pour a drink on you for sitting during the national anthem. Christian or not, CBU will welcome you with open arms regardless of ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, gender, etc..Gabriel Lara

I'm a male, late 20's student at USF, and this has been my experience: 1) Rigorous – Having had a decent amount of life experience before coming here, I expected it to be easy. I was wrong. As someone who has always been good at math, the math classes were all challenging and required a lot of time and effort to do well in. The same goes for their science classes. I had attended another, easier university before coming here, and the difference was huge. 2) Political/Religious – Being a catholic university in the middle of a very liberal city, there is a good chance that someone will at some point try to shove religion or liberal politics down your throat, with a higher probability of the latter. As someone who doesn't care for politics, I'd prefer if they were left out of the classroom. 3) Small class sizes – All but one of my classes have been under 30 people, with many being less than 20. There are personal, 1-on-1 classes for music lessons in guitar, piano, vocals, etc. There are ample staff to handle any problem and any and all issues I've had were solved quickly. Compare this to a state school with class sizes in the 100's and there is really no comparison. 4) Expensive – With an annual price tag of about 50k, plus the astronomically high San Francisco cost of living, it is incredibly expensive to go to school here. I came here largely because I had a full-ride scholarship, and would have seriously considered other options if I didn't. 5) Amenities – There are several large libraries, excellent quiet study areas, private music rooms with instruments, and the campus itself is quite beautiful. With the tuition comes a free public transit card and gym access, at a very nice gym. 6) Overall quality – The quality of the school overall is very high. I can't say how it compares to the likes of top schools like Stanford, but many of USF's professors have come from those big name schools. The combination of talented, intelligent professors and personal 1-on-1 attention make it a great place to learn and study.Tyler D

I transferred out of the University of San Francisco real quick. The school is expensive, the education is ok but the material is too easy, and the social life is garbage unless you're undoubtedly liberal. The professors were very nice and helpful, but anyone from the administration building is out to get you, ultimately this place is just a big money pit. They'll find a way to fine you and take your money even if you haven't done anything wrong.Alex Douthat

Beautiful campus in the heart of the city but otherwise, a school filled with professors that don’t really care, poor accommodations for students with disabilities, extremely expensive, campus police focuses more on giving you parking tickets and people’s conduct rather than ensuring vehicles are not broken into. Did I mention is extremely expensive and they will not accommodate you well if you need to take time off for medical/family issues.Jake Bilyak
