I had an excellent undergraduate educational experience at Immaculata University and I would highly recommend it. In the professional world, I have run into alumni from Immaculata and I'm finding it no coincidence that these individuals are talented, intellectual, and ethical (perhaps the biggest differentiator). Spending almost 4 years at Immaculata University has been a great experience. This college sits by itself on King Road which makes it nice for no distractions. Immaculata is fortunately right near Exton and King of Prussia Mall, so it is easy to get away when needed. I didn't go into this building personally. I was only able to see it from the outside due in part of it being part of a tour I did around the Old San Juan area. I need to add, this was a great way to learn about the architecture of Old San Juan building. Dropped by here in order to go to Panda Express. Don't know why I'm reviewing a college I'm not even part of, and this review is during a pandemic too.. well, it's purely about the aesthetic and convenience of the facilities. De Anza has quite the sizeable college grounds , so sizeable that it feels like an abandoned residential area with how empty practically everything is. It's complete with artistic facilities for music, visual arts, science buildings, sports facilities and the like. While I didn't enter, the library and the nearby park (called the sunken gardens by the college) was quite the beautiful location. The outdoor seating areas where the students would take a break and wait for classes on are widespread, shaded and very calming to be on. Not to mention the very convenient bus routes available . It's no wonder the college ended up being quite popular, it's geographically excellent and quite picturesque.Ace Hughj

De Anza College is great but not the book store. Beware of book store return policy. Make sure the books or items is in original condition or their will not refund. No sympathy at all. I bought online access book a week before class starts. My math intructor switch book. And to make matter worse I accidentally bent the access book card because it was in my backpack with one line crease and they denied the return after i picked it up on 1st day of class. Cost me $120 for a simple honest mistake. Ask for store credit or even exchange for the current hard copy of the free math book and they not willing to do anything. I'll go buy from amazon or used book somewhere else. Never again support this book store.Dru Down

Community colleges are a treasure trove of gems among them is access to the on-campus gym. De Anza College’s on-campus gym provides patrons with a quiet and well rounded experience for an affordable price. From experience, these types of gyms allow me to get my workout done in a welcoming environment, which I feel can’t be said of many gyms. Its a bit hard to rate an entire university. I'll preface this with the fact that I'm rating from a students perspective and won't be factoring in cost to attend in my review. First, the university is big and beautiful. All the old brick buildings give a nice general vibe to the campus. Uptown is also a nice social hub for the weekends, fit with bars, restaurants, and Bagel and Deli. There are plenty of people on campus to befriend and plenty of clubs to find like minded people with. Second, the classes. I've had great classes so far, not finding any "bad" professors. For context, my classes have revolved around computer science and math. Mileage may vary, I haven't taken every class. Third, the food. The included meal plan gives access to meal halls which have a wide array of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some items, like cereal or pizza, are guaranteed every day of the week, with other entrées being cycled out each day. Its good at first,, but these dining halls are functuonally mean to be eaten at daily. After a while of that, the food quickly becomes just edible. The Armstrong center has a bunch of restaurants that require payment like normal, however they don't accept meal plan swipes or their equivalent value, something I've seen in much smaller universities. This food is actually good, but eating here isn't sustainable for the aforementioned reason. Paying at these locations means you're really paying twice. Once for the food, and again for the meal swipe you've essentially wasted. For this reason, I've taken a star. Lastly, I feel safe on campus. Their transparency with active police activity sent to your email along with their crime and fire reports each year indicate this campus is a pretty safe place to be. Its in basically the middle of nowhere, the campus being its own town. In fact, Miami University outsources their own police department to the town its inside of.Jack Duvall

I would not recommend this school, I am truly and whole heartedly regretful of choosing this school over all of the other options I had. Something about this school stood out to me, and the counselors here try really hard to get you in. I do not identify with Christian faith and I am not religious at all so I initially felt weird about going to this school, but they mention multiple times that they accept all faiths and backgrounds so I felt better. However, upon talking their forced “Christian Worldview” class, the teacher grades with an iron fist for a 101 class and is just awful. My GPA for sure was going to plummet due to this stupid 101 class that they force on you. Honestly it was so ridiculous that I felt the need to reach out to my advisor. I was trying to come up with a solution because I felt some type of way about this. I suggested them placing me with a different teacher, since this teacher has AWFUL reviews going back years yet they do nothing about it. However they pretty much told me I still had to take the class, I could not switch to another teacher (you cannot pick your own teachers by the way which is huge for me now). Their only solution was that “another teacher would review my work.” This turned me off so bad from the entire school that I ended up withdrawing due to principal which messed up my financial aid. They honestly did not care one bit and obviously know there is a problem but do nothing to address it. I was so turned off that I chose to mess up my financial aid and just pick another school, there was no way that I was finishing out my degree here after this. Go elsewhere !!Taylor

I am an Atheist. I chose this college because it had the focus I was looking for, the delivery method was fully online so I could continue to work, and the price was the best around. I did not feel like being of the Christian faith was a prerequisite. My instructors and professors were not pushy with religion, and for a master's program, I felt like I was able to learn what was necessary for the field I was in. I have a Master's degree and 2 focuses now from GCU and I couldn't be happier with my education and experience. The guidance counselors were great, the financial aid process was easy, and I'm grateful for GCU and all they have done for me.April Wittmeyer

Parking in Garage building#7 on 33rdAvewas the best for going into the areana. We had to checkin at theguard station, drive around it then enter the parking garage. Parking was allowed on the 2ndfloor and above. It was the AFHE homeschool senior graduation. The campuswas very green. The areana was building #38 there is a museum to JERRY COLANGELO here and a beautiful tripple cross monument. The restrooms are spacious and everything but the soap dispensers are automated. I AM NOT A STUDENT. IM A TOURIST I toured this beautiful school yesterday. It was absolutely beautiful. To walk around seeing so much scripture. So many things to inspire young minds and hearts to Christ. I did not get a chance to walk around the entire campus but the places I did see were amazing. My tour guide was Robert Vann. He knew a lot of history and important things about the school. He probably knew the mission statement if I asked him. He took us into the Chapel and had so many great things to say about it. He also said, the school was a safe place for Christians. The professors and staff, knew Jesus. Frfr. They encourage a relationship with Christ. He has never been around so many different ethnicities fully in worship together. It reminded him of Heaven. He saw that we are all the same. The school opened the eyes of his heart to so many different beautiful things about ALL of the people of God. I’m not gone lie, I don’t wanna say that I would ever move back to Virginia. And I do not like school. However, after seeing the school, and hearing the Words of Mr. Vann, it makes me want to consider attending Regent. I could not have chosen a better university to finish my education as well continue with. My professors are very understanding and compassionate because we need that today in the world we live in. Even if you aren't a Christian the respect and just humbleness of all my professors and even peers has been extremely outstanding . I am speechless. The biblical principles and education I received have equipped me to go out and change the world. The Professors care about your well-being just as much as your academic development. I realize that my opinion can't stand for the whole school (chemical engineering​ 2017), but having held a student job that allowed me to see a lot of the behind the scenes stuff and was part of a department that was in the midst of a lot of changes, I do think I can offer some insight. First, unless you're a proactive genius who wants to do research their entire life, don't bother coming here. This school doesn't care about industry or the jobs it offers. This school talks a lot, but doesn't follow through very well. For instance, the higher ups tend to be good, but the people below them are horrible. The career center is a joke, the admin people are flakes who pretend to know what they're doing, and the professors are very hit or miss. How this school got "best undergrad teaching" is a mystery to me. The only good majors are comp sci and bio. The rest of the departments, especially mine, are either full of hot air, stupid in their decision making, or just plain lost. This university attracts a lot of insanely bright students to their undergraduate program and the stem majors would suck without them. God knows the STEM majors don't get genuine help from their professors. I had to go an extra year because of the negligence of my department and two of the many professors that left during my time were upset and thought I should have graduated a year earlier. I almost transferred twice. My department, similar to many others, don't have any connections to companies in industry. This school also hates transfer students despite having a lot of them. Don't expect to finish any degree in 4 years if you're transferring in. There's no social life here because the school is filled with pasty nerds. This is the worst school in the state of Maryland (and possibly in the US). Several buildings on campus are run down (the Sondheim building has even had asbestos in it). The quality of the food is poor and it's overpriced. The social life sucks. It's not a well-known school outside of Maryland. And most importantly, classes are insanely difficult (especially for STEM majors). The classes aren't designed to weed out the slackers. They're designed to weed out the people who try their absolute hardest (and sacrifice things such as sleep and a decent social life) but can't keep up with the immense workload thrown at the students and/or approach assignments with the same exact mindset as the professors. Exams are geared less toward understanding important subject material and more toward deciphering what the professors are actually asking. This school is nothing but a weed out school. I know students who are very intellectually gifted yet still struggle with courses only because of the professors. Almost every professor, by the way, couldn't care less about students and (one would think) they take pride in handing out bad grades – maybe because it inflates their ego of "how brilliant they are compared to others". One more note on the courses – for many courses there is one week between the final exam and the last normal exam of the semester. The biggest mistake I've ever made was attending this "school". I can honestly say that attending UMBC feels like a form of imprisonment. I can't overstate how much I truly despise this school. Please don't make the same mistake I did – go to UMD, Towson, or really anywhere but UMBC.Bucky C

There are a lot of great things about UMBC, the career center is great and there are some top-notch professors. There are some problems though. One annoying thing is they nickel and dime you for everything. Parts of the campus are run down looking and they wont go there during the tour. Most of my professors have been good but my girlfriend who is an art major has had more than one professor that just had students watch online videos instead of teaching them animation topics. -Library carpet is worn out -Chairs in library are so gross your arms stick to them -ITE building has chairs with foam falling out -You must pay to play ping pong or any game in the "game room" -The billing dept gives you very little time to pay the bill and is quick to issue an expensive late fee -Social life isn't great on campus Another thing worth noting that has unfortunately been getting worse is UMBC's leadership imposing their political motives on students through 'updates' on current events. Updates are fine but the vocabulary used in some of the 'updates' is disrespectful to some students who don't agree with the same viewpoints as 'UMBC leadership'. I'm a male, late 20's student at USF, and this has been my experience: 1) Rigorous – Having had a decent amount of life experience before coming here, I expected it to be easy. I was wrong. As someone who has always been good at math, the math classes were all challenging and required a lot of time and effort to do well in. The same goes for their science classes. I had attended another, easier university before coming here, and the difference was huge. 2) Political/Religious – Being a catholic university in the middle of a very liberal city, there is a good chance that someone will at some point try to shove religion or liberal politics down your throat, with a higher probability of the latter. As someone who doesn't care for politics, I'd prefer if they were left out of the classroom. 3) Small class sizes – All but one of my classes have been under 30 people, with many being less than 20. There are personal, 1-on-1 classes for music lessons in guitar, piano, vocals, etc. There are ample staff to handle any problem and any and all issues I've had were solved quickly. Compare this to a state school with class sizes in the 100's and there is really no comparison. 4) Expensive – With an annual price tag of about 50k, plus the astronomically high San Francisco cost of living, it is incredibly expensive to go to school here. I came here largely because I had a full-ride scholarship, and would have seriously considered other options if I didn't. 5) Amenities – There are several large libraries, excellent quiet study areas, private music rooms with instruments, and the campus itself is quite beautiful. With the tuition comes a free public transit card and gym access, at a very nice gym. 6) Overall quality – The quality of the school overall is very high. I can't say how it compares to the likes of top schools like Stanford, but many of USF's professors have come from those big name schools. The combination of talented, intelligent professors and personal 1-on-1 attention make it a great place to learn and study.Tyler D

I transferred out of the University of San Francisco real quick. The school is expensive, the education is ok but the material is too easy, and the social life is garbage unless you're undoubtedly liberal. The professors were very nice and helpful, but anyone from the administration building is out to get you, ultimately this place is just a big money pit. I never had a chance to visit barry university before enrolling and I wound up not liking the area. The area outside of it is very ghetto and the dorms are smaller than what is shown on the layout online. I didn't feel safe in the general area so I withdrew from the university during the grace period where I should've gotten a 100% refund on classes and an 80% refund on housing. It's been almost two months since I signed and dated the form where I only agreed on paying 20% for housing and 0% for classes. I had not gone to any classes and now I am moved out and enrolled in a different college. I am still being given hell on this process where they were only responsible for calculating the 20% on housing that I owed and signing a withdrawal form. It's taken them two months to do these simple tasks that should've been made a priority and I was told it would be. I am now being billed for $7,050 for classes. For what classes? I hadn't gone to any and withdrew during the grace period. I have copies of my withdrawal form stating what I signed for and printed copies of the official website stating the corresponding dates and percentages for refunds and billing. They are now either going to resolve this issue right away or I will be in the process of sueing the university. This is ridiculous. The only person I can say actually had done their job was my academic advisor who also agreed that this process has been a ridiculous money scam.Miranda Moran

What can I say: I love Barry. Even though I live way up here in Jax, I commuted down there for classes once a month. It was worth it to me. I’m in the PhD nursing program and I can say it really changed my life. Dr. Jessie Colin, who is also my chair, is the most intelligent and remarkable person I have ever met. The 5 stars is for her and how she is running the doctoral program. Thank you Dr. Colin! The rest of the nursing faculty are also wonderful. Lovely women (too many to name). I’m so glad I made the decision to come to this school. I’ve learned so much that this post would be too long to describe it all! It’s an intellectually challenging program, so be ready to learn. This school in general really focuses on social justice. If you are not open minded to multi-culturalism and discovering new ways of thinking outside of the norm, this may not be the school for you. I tell people this because I know how the culture is in America today (ignorance is bliss). You have to accept to live the ‘Barry Life’, which is being open to culture and seeking justice for those whose voices might go unheard. Like some say on other reviews, yes, the area in which the school is in is kinda sketchy. And be prepared, the student parking is awful. Barry University is the worst. I was enrolled for one semester in 2013. The way the school system is set up is terrible. NO ONE is on the same page, rarely will credits transfer, teachers do not truly care or seemed interested in making personal relationships (mind you this is a PRIVATE college), and lastly…getting your transcripts sent to other colleges is the HARDEST. They go through different programs like "Transcripts on Demand" so there's no help from Barry because they don't even know whats going on in the transcript process. They just buy some company to come handle all of their students and transcripts for them. My transcripts are now late being sent to two different colleges and its been over a month since I sent my consent form (since when do you need a consent form to sent transcripts…usually you pay a fee and that's that). I was here for two years after my time at Nova CC. I was with the Schar School of Policy and Government. It was a fantastic experience I wouldn't trade for anything. The professors are all experts in their fields with PhD's. Everyone in my classes were respectful and engaging. For a social life it was average, you have to make your own friends by joining clubs or living in dorms with your door open. Be polite and talk to people. Infrastructure wise there is a huge effort by the university to modernize. With the Peterson Medical building, Nguyen Engineering Building, Fenwick library, exploratory building, and the new Robinson building that is being built in the middle of campus, it's gonna be great. For now the construction may put people off but it will become a great school for students and graduate students alike. 4/5 would do it again. Not really but still.Ameen Karim

The George Mason University is better than I expected going in. Many Norther Virginia High School students don’t really want to go to this school because they think it is not that good and they do not want to stay home. This is a great place to learn especially is you are on a budget. Stay at home and commute, it is a great way to save money while getting a good quality education at a university. This school is great and although there is not much on campus culture, there are many things that make the school amazing. I was a student here for all 4 years and graduated in 2013. The tour sold me. but as most reviews say, please dont fall for it. i was excited that every dorm room came with a Air conditioner, and mini fridge/freezer. I thought yes, what a way to save some money. And the rooms were a good size (depends on what dorm your assigned to.) The dorm they use for tours is a good size, but other buildings such as North Hall, some rooms could be smaller. I found ALL professors to be amazing. EXCEPT for 1. She gave me an F for a power point that I worked so so so hard on. Did an excellent presentation, and she gave me an F because even though I sited my work at the bottom of each slide, I was told every bullet point should have had been in quotation marks. To me, I felt that they didnt need to be in quotation marks since i did not write word for word in my slide. It was a summary of what i read and sited that website i used to gather my information. I appealed the grade, and the school sided with her. Brought my 3.2gpa to a 2.9gpa. It was senior year and nothing i could do about it. This 2.9 gpa made it extremely difficult to get into grad school of my choice after graduation. I was very upset a pair of quotation marks determined my after albight education journey. But besides this prof, everyone was very VERY nice. I like that Albright offers summer and winter classes if you wanna catch up or get ahead. I took advantage of winter classes so i could graduate on time. I also took advantage of taking summer classes at my local community college to graduate on time as well. When i was there, the food was amazing. The dinner parties like christmas and mardi gras food was even better. there were tons of clubs to join and greek life. If you had an interest in a club that didnt exist, you were able to create one. (which me and my friends did) it was amazing. they also provided us with funding to have events and gatherings. that was amazing. Overall, my time here was just "ok". There were plenty of things that needed to change. Like the diversity of the student body. There were not many black and brown students. Which made the current black and brown students feel uncomfortable. My last year more were accepted, and i saw the increase. I hope they continued to do that. I enjoyed the arts/theater/fashion there. Some class rooms were outdated but not all. Overall, i do not think Albright is the worse school ever. BUT it is DEFINITELY not worth 52-53k per year. absolutely not worth it. I received plenty and plenty of scholarships. I only owed $53k when i graduated. To me that was not bad as its 53k per year. So i techinically only owed for 1 year of 4 years of higher education. I appreciate the scholarships and time here and i made great friends whom im still friends with 10 years later exactly. My experience could have been A LOT better. It was not worth the money. I did NOT get what i paid for here at albright. and for that I am giving a 3stars. tuition too high, for the services received. Campus does not cater to whole student body. If your a fashion major you'll love it. Bio major you'll love it. Even Arts/theater you will LOVE it. Other majors are okay. Albright College on the outside is a very promising private school in the urban environment of Reading, PA. On tours of campus the admissions staff do a good job of showing you what they want you to see, which could include the cafeteria or the basketball gym. Enrolling here is a lot different though. The energy on campus is soul sucking and to call it a community would be a lie. The dorms are packed like prison cells and your bathrooms will be communal. Despite your continual lack of privacy you would expect people to be more familiar with each other – nope. You'll feel like a ghost and a stranger because if you're not in class you'll be in your room freezing your balls off. Speaking of classes, your classes will be held in state of the art buildings with amazing up to date facilities… if you go to school in 1954. In real life, the classrooms are old and dingy, the desks are small and falling apart, they can't even bother to update maps that don't say the USSR on them (which ceased to exist in 1992). The staff doesn't care about the students once they enroll, they're there to collect a paycheck and that's it. What does the 55,000 you pay to attend here actually go to? If the worn down facilities weren't bad enough wait till its time to pick classes. The departments have been gutted for whatever reason so you'll be stuck in classes you don't want to be taking. But atleast in between walking out of the old academic building and the unrenovated dorm halls you can go see the brand new sports facilities for the DIII teams that use them. How does it make any sense to spend money buying new sports stuff for your D3 teams instead of the student body? Student life at Albright is pretty lame, during the week there is not much to do and on Fridays at 4pm the parking lot empties out until Monday morning. Apart from that there has been a string of violent crimes on and around campus like students being assaulted and robbed on the way to class, gangs breaking in the dorms and beating people to an inch of their life and drive by shootings. Living here is like being in Grand Theft Auto excpet you're the NPC which makes going out at night not a great idea. If you're looking at going to school in Reading, Penn State Berks and Alvernia are mostly more of the same but atleast it can be said its safe on campus at both of those schools. If you're a high schooler or a parent that wants to send a kid here, you should seriously reconsider. I went to Albright College for two years before transferring out. I was from New Hampshire so completely out of state, and only saw the college a couple of times before going. Honestly the tour I received made me feel so comfortable with the atmosphere there, everyone was so nice. As soon as I got to the College in the fall of 2015 it wasn't at all what I expected. The public safety facilities didn't do a proper job, my roommate's car tires were stolen while she was parked on campus and the security cameras were so outdated that they said they couldn't do anything about it or pay for it in anyway. There was never much to do on campus, I basically went from my dorm to classes even though I was a part of 4 academic clubs. When I decided to transfer out of the College, I was promised an exit interview with the Dean of Students. However, since the transferring rate was relatively high after spring 2017, the Dean decided to make the exit interview an online survey with only multiple choice questions and statements of why you were leaving Albright. I felt that my voice was diminished at that moment because I had a list of negatives that needed to be fixed in order for the school to be a proper College education and environment. The only thing that made my Albright experience worth it was the friends I made, they are truly amazing and I do miss them. I hope Albright is treating them better than it treated me, because they deserve the world. Unfortunately for me, the education was not worth $53,000 a year.Meghan Stackhouse

This school is some sort of racket, I would recommend looking elsewhere to receive your degree. The school’s “academic advisors” are actually the program directors and professors, so they have a personal interest in what classes they put you in and won’t let you choose or advocate for yourself. Because of this, they are also not interested in solving problems you may face because then they’d have to take responsibility for them. The TAs barely know what they’re supposed to be instructing you in, and will get flustered if you have a question and do the work for you instead of actually teaching you to be self-sufficient. Additionally, the course descriptions are severely lacking and you will find that the instruction for nearly all classes feels very clandestine and disorganized. There is no transparency or way to make an informed decision at this “school”. For those living on campus in student housing, you may experience mold, insects, and furniture caked in animal hair. The school will not put effort into remedying this. The cafeteria food is abysmal after the first week of classes. There is a large foreign student population at this school, FIT may be relying on their newness to the States in order to maintain their poor standards. For those of us who value receiving a first-world and excellent education, I suggest NOT ATTENDING FLORIDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.K Washington

First. This place has its ups & downs. But one thing’s for sure, they provide quality education as good as Ivy leagues. 80% of Professors are great at teaching. Some will even be the reason youre passionate about you’re major. Downside to this place is the QS ranking(doesn’t exist on there). But they make up to that by being well known in the community & having connections with big engineering companies. I graduated may2020 with an Bsc in ME. & am now getting my masters at UCI in MAE. Let me tell you I study with students from berkely & UCSD & I am just as knowledgeable as they are or even better at times. One of the downsides is the extremely expensive university housing which you’re forced as an international student to stay in for 1 year. Wish FIT imvested a bit more on better parking lol. Best 4 years of my life. Even though Melbourne is extremely boring. Orlando & miami are 1 & 2:30 hours away. Don’t ever estimate the quality of education FIT is providing. I once did & now know better. Take up that panther 🐆 pride. One last thing. You’ll get to see rockets 🚀 taking off every couple weeks from campus. Florida Tech has been my home away from home. The energy the place and the people have is unique and would say that I am as happy as I can be here at Florida Tech. Ever since I started attending school here I felt like my education and wellness was more than covered. It has given me connections and friendships that will last forever and I will forever be grateful to have chosen Florida Tech. My professors have always been caring and helpful and I have never felt like I didn't belong here. I loved the community and how many different clubs and organizations they have, so socializing has been an easy part as well. From the moment I moved into my freshman dorm I have felt wanted by this community. Professors work hard and passionately to help us learn and grow as students and people, the on-campus living areas are full of community and opportunities to serve, grow, and make those life-long friendships everyone talks about making in college, and the Christ-centeredness of Fox is very evident in the Spiritual Life leadership, and the students, that we have here. Strange that during final weeks of class, when students are studying, that a full live band can play loudly right in front of the Library. Not bad music, just poor timing and policy. I suggest a different location and to respect the nature of Academia. I also suggest reinstallation of walls within Library that are surely "paper thin".C.

Rowan is a good university buried under an avalanche of bureaucracy and organizational problems. As a graduating senior of 2019, I've had the "pleasure" of watching the school grow and evolve at a wildly quick pace. But, as one might imagine, such growth in such a short span of time will inevitably lead to problems. Rowan University is a small school that desperately wants to be a big school and will do anything to achieve that level of growth, no matter how predatory their tactics become. Nothing seems to be too low for Rowan at the current moment, and that is exemplified through their most recent change of the meal system. Despite recently conducting a survey into student health/nutrition levels and discovering that more than 40% of students say they don't have access to enough food to keep from going hungry during the day, Rowan has decided to completely change its dining system to exploit students and ensure they eat as little possible. Now all students are required to schedule their meals via an app, leading to over an hour of wait time for every meal during major eating hours. On top of this, Rowan has decided to charge students for nearly every addition to their meal, right down to requiring students to pay for simple condiments such as Ketchup and BBQ Sauce. The school's cafeteria is no longer an all-you-can eat venue, making it essentially impossible for students to control their own portions no matter what on-campus food venue they try to reach. This is likely to keep spending low, but if the survey is anything to go by, it will massive repercussions on the student body's overall health. But it doesn't end there. Living conditions are also incredibly stilted, with one half of the student body living in archaic buildings that lack any form of AC and are constantly left in disgusting conditions while the other half lives in ultra-modern buildings where many of the systems (such as electronic keys) don't work half the time. Rowan's transition into being this large school has left the population to essentially fend for themselves, as every dorm becomes overcrowded to the point where some Freshmen students are required to share 1 toilet and 1 shower among 9 different students. The only real draw the school has left is its academic programs, which I will admit are the only reason the rating doesn't go any lower. The professors at Rowan seem to have a genuine care and concern for their students, and I have yet to have a professor that wasn't at least passionate for his or her profession. However, at the moment, academics aren't enough for the school to survive on alone. Student life is at an all-time low for Rowan and unless something changes, it will only sink deeper. This is without mentioning the infamously awful parking situation Rowan is plagued with for both residents and commuters alike, as well as a myriad of other issues such as the Rowan WiFi that regularly goes down at unexpected intervals, the obnoxious campus layout that drags most of the newer student structures as far away from the academic buildings as possible, and the constant remodeling of food areas that further prevents students from eating. I say all this not out of hatred, but out of frustration for a school that I was recommended to years ago by friends and family alike. That brief window of time when Rowan was emerging as a smaller school with a strong academic backbone but somewhat questionable living conditions gave me hope that things would only get better over time, but it seems the opposite is true. I have no doubt that in a few years, Rowan University might finally be the big school it so desperately wants to be. But in the meantime, the students are the ones that will suffer the consequences of being nickel-and-dimed at every opportunity to get it there.StartledSloth

Before you waste $100k and 4 years of your life, read this. Rowan University is a place of business, not an educational institution. Granted, this is true for most colleges today, but still, I will not send my future children here. This place basically treats its students like cattle, just trying to get them through the system. Yes, you will learn a few things, but many graduates will have trouble getting a real job – in fact, most don't. I could talk about the President's salary going from $375K to $500K in one year, the fact that you have to pay for parking that doesn't exist, or or how classes are large/overcrowded (look at the course schedule to see how many overbooked sections there are). Before going to any school, ask the department head: "what percentage of students get jobs in this field in 1 year?" and "how will this program enable me to achieve my career goals?" If there's any hesitation or vague responses, there's your answer. Also, Glassboro is NOT SAFE. Rowan University is amazing in three fields – engineering, nursing and education. Everything else is just like every other college, so the complaints from students not in those fields are going to sound similar to what everyone complains about at their college. Yes parking here can be rough, but I'm an engineering student at Rowan and their program is amazing. Small classes, professors know your name 95% of the time, my advisor is willing to meet with me and listen, and the campus is a perfect size. There's a bit of a party life, which can get loud if you're in the middle of campus or near the frats, but otherwise it's not a crazy campus. The students that do well are the hard-working ones that put in a lot of work. If you don't put in the work and make an effort to talk to your teachers and advisors, you're just making things harder for yourself.Tori Barry

When I first started signing up for my MBA I advised them that I had just graduated with my bachelors degree. My goal was to start August 5, and I submitted all my necessary paperwork and cooperated as such. When it got to my transcripts I was advised I could not start because the conferral date was not on the transcripts. The enrollment specialist told me to reach out to my previous school. I did and it was a hassle. I called the enrollment specialist at Capella to advise of the updates to only find out that Capella’s registrar team had already been in contact with my school. I wanted to start on the 5th as it was very discouraging to go through the process to be turned away at last minute. 1). Total waist of time as I took time out of my day to complete orientation and do what they advised of me. 2) I asked to speak with a supervisor who was very vague and could not provide the information needed. 3) I again called Capella to try and escalate the situation, but the manager never returned my call. I feel as if they had me sign up because they were the ones to get paid for each student to enroll and failed to educate me properly in the beginning, which is very misleading and discouraging. Since no one wanted to comply and take responsibility I will be escalating this to the BBB as this is not my fault and I should had been able to start in the promised time given and should have been educated properly.Tearra McCray

The worst university ever! They made me waste my time and my money from the first day, every time I communicated with them each counselor told me something different, and more than a month passed and I did not have an accurate answer on the status of my application, after a month a person from human resources let me know that I had to do my transcripts equivalency again on another website because the one I had already sent twice to them waiting for they review it (and that they themselves told me it was okay to do it that way) was not valid for them to take me into account to start the course this past October. 1- First time the transcripts were not encrypted, so they asked my to ask the institution they send it again but encrypted this time and I did it and sent it again. And after that they let me know that didn’t work for them. So I wasted my time, my money and above all the opportunity to start on the desired date. A very bad job of the staff. Very bad communication with the students who want to start there, and they also contradict each other. They all say different things and waste your time. They are also very rude. I hope that no one has this bad experience, nor misses the opportunity to start the course on the date they planned, and due to the horrible work of other people you lose opportunities in life.Claudia Espinosa

From the beginning of my Master's level school search, Capella stood out. I had a great recommendation from a friend already, but in researching complete online programs to work with my schedule, Capella checked all of the boxes I needed. I had a wonderful experience with my admissions counselor and continue to have great interactions with all communication. I am happy with all faculty thus far and feel that I am learning exactly what I need for my future as a school counselor. The course load is what I expected it to be and the time I spend on classwork is time well spent. I feel very confident that I will be prepared to enter the field of school counseling when I graduate. The very first thing Capella does once you are enrolled is to start you in a class to help navigate your program and get you familiar with the online format. It is April 24, 2022 we are leaving Augusta University without having CT done a procedure that takes 15 mins yet we arrived 1:15pm and now it is 9:57pm something is seriously wrong with their ER process. Yes the staff was rehearsed pleasant. I didn't matter that we had three young hungry children and we lived 2 hours away. I packed them hearty lunch knowing we would back home shortly after dinner but early enough for them to eat before bed. Now this medical issue is not something you patch up an move on this could be a life or death situation which leads to have to return to complete this process. I was told they were waiting for radiology to respond. There is no way from 1:15 to 9:57 the emergency room had no communication with radiology. Most advised us to go to this hospital. Bigger does not always mean better. It's just sad to treat patients that way.Charla Williams

I had to go there Monday morning for quadruple bypass, I got through it for the best team I've ever seen, when I come out of surgery then back to intensive care they kept me calm and kept my scares away, this Hospital has it going on, I could go on and on about the service and the professional help they gave me. I am very disappointed at this school. I'm about halfway through my online RN-BSN program and I have always worked hard on all my courses. I have managed to maintain a 4.0 GPA up to now, but I don't know how this is going to continue. It has never been easy to do schoolwork while working as a nurse and having family and obligations at home, but I have always done it. The syllabus for the new course starting a week from now outlines a tremendous amount of work. I mean, several weeks will have 4 assignments. This is the opposite of what they advertise online and everywhere. This is not a university for people who are working and trying to balance work, life, and a degree. This is called false advertising. I agree with another reviewer who said, if you want to work yourself to death and not see your family, and not have any time at all for anything else but school – this is the school for you. I'm very disappointed at realizing the amount of work and these many assignments every week. Like I said, I'm not one that is trying to slack and procrastinate, and not do any work, and still get a degree. That is absolutely not me. I'm a hard worker but I still need to sleep at least a few hours a day, and work, and care for my family, and work on school. It is not only school in people's lives. Yes, it is important to get a degree, but there is not only school in life. When they advertise "manageable coursework, this is the school where people who work and can get their degree, at SNHU students have a good school/life balance" Please, stay away and do not believe it. It is not true. The amount of work for this 3-credit course of an undergraduate degree is absolutely insane. I must say that this is not a capstone course. Not sure I will be as successful this term. Very disappointed. I e-mailed my advisor about my concerns. Received an email that basically minimizes my all my concerns and generalizes "I know that all students make sacrifices to get their degrees." "Deans, students, and instructors know that this course is very heavy." Sorry. I am stuck now that I'm halfway through but if you have a choice, look for another university. I regret not choosing Capella University. Very disappointed. Other negative aspects are the fact that instructors want you to follow the rubric, but they don't understand it themselves. Poor communication when you ask for clarification. Poor feedback that fails to point out what to correct. Inconsistencies in grading. The most repetitive assignments that you can ever think of. They require you to repeat the same thing 20 times on the same paper in order to generate more pages or to make the assignment longer. Do yourself a favor and reconsider your choices.cubamorena

I received my bachelors degree in 2020 from SNHU. This experience was not horrible. I decided to continue having researched both SNHU and MSU for my MBA in Project Management. First couple of classes went very well and very smooth. Hit a class where the instructor passed off that they have zero authority over assignments and can’t deter from the rubric. Ok not what was asked but asked for clarification of coachback notes as they were written in a way you can’t understand, referenced things not about my personal paper and instructor couldn’t even expand on what to correct. I can handle criticism but if I need clarification isn’t that what an instructor is for? Not one question asked was answered. Went through the dispute process and the university of course refused to help or do anything. Why would they take ownership and accountability??? And they actually concurred with the notes provided by the instructor that even my advisor mentioned was not clear and not how she as an instructor would reply to a student. This university is absolutely not with using for a graduate degree. I am stuck since I am over 1/2 way done. Wouldn’t make sense to change schools now. Heed my warnings. Run!!David Voelker

The process of enrolling is very outdated and inconvenient. You don’t have a actually portal like most schools do that you watch your process flow. You depend on a advisor and callling all the time to get all info needed. If you’re lucky not to be the one of the chosen few to get picked to have a extra verification done. You have to send it photocopy of id, a utility bill, and notarized document. They requested a notarized document to verify my address then told me I couldn’t upload it, that it had to be mailed. The only reason I found out that document had to be mailed is when I called to ask why it couldn’t be uploaded. Their process is outdated and very inconvenient and really not consistent. I wouldn’t recommend this school for anyone just because of the process now it puts me in the predicament to find a new school to start at the last minute.Trice Bruce

This place is more church than it is a university. Undergrads are required to earn an additional 18 units, 9 credits of Humanities & 9 credits of Religion, on top of your traditional 120 units for a Bachelors. As well as 14 hours of “convo” each semester (look it up). Every staff / faculty member who works here complains about there pay to anyone who will listen. Student advisors and counselors will try to impress upon you their administrative powers. Student Veterans: Both, as a Yellow Ribbon student and (at about 3/4 of the way thru) as a VocRehab (Ch.33) student, Ella from student accounts would withhold all my grants and loans until the government paid the tuition it owed on my behalf. This place is known for its vistas not their academics. You won’t build much of a portfolio to show employers just by going here. Students in the Arts programs here focused more on who to know rather then what to know. Very “Right Wing” policies. Good WiFi in the buildings, not so much outside.Timothy Mitchell

I got accepted to two schools but wanted to start with a summer course at Pepperdine to see how it goes. I enrolled in one class and before the class started I asked professor for the syllabus, and few additional questions. He emailed me he would gladly speak to me about the class I want to take and gave me the phone number to call. I am not a native speaker and I have an accent. When I called, he was very rude, asked me who I am, and then he said I got the wrong number and hanged up on me. I withdrew the class immediately to get my money back and I decided to go to different university instead, with better reputation. There are other better schools out there.Mila Rosey

Got my Master in Public Administration from Wagner Graduate School of Public Affairs in 1985. Not an ounce of financial aid – It was my one-hundred percent self-paid onus. Even with full-time work for the duration of full-time study, it was easier than where my Bachelor of Arts was from: Binghamton. Long story short, the Public and nonprofits sector didn't want me; but, made some successes in the Corporate world in Banking, Insurance, followed by Investment Brokerage. My point ?
