Great school for engineering and decent for nursing. Business school will depend on your work and the professors you choose(from 1-4 ⭐️). The support sucks. Try calling financial aid or student accounts and you know how living in purgatory feels like. One hour of waiting on the line is typical and if you wanna use the outdated mymav website to get help without calling them, good luck 😉 The number in the picture below belongs to student accounts department who will drop you from all your classes when u owe money so you need speed dealing with them. If I could give this university a zero star, I would do it. As an international student, I have millions of terrible experiences with this university. The graduate school and the international students office have been really really rude. They will try to frustrate you using any way they could. Also, the insurance requirement for international students have been so unfair. They will charge you lots lots of money for the insurance for the summer time even though you are not enrolled in any classes during the summer. Also, the staff working in the graduate school have been so rude and know very little. Some of the graduate and undergraduate classes have been so meaningless and do not worth the money.yaqing cao

Atm a lot of construction is going around the university. Either adding new school building, dinning areas, or apartments around the school. The gym is great, great gym equipment, indoor track, and classes that you can sign up for if you do not like working out alone. Building are easy to locate but if you have trouble finding them people will be nice to direct to the correct locations. Somethings have not changed at all about this wonderful for school even after 18 years. Despite being reminded of how old I’ve gotten, I was first introduced to the school back in 2000 when I was being recruited to play soccer here and everything about the school and the people that work there were just amazing, genuine and friendly. Now I’m trying to do work with career and job fairs and the people that are working there are still extremely kind and helpful. I’ve spoken to several universities and colleges today and in this past week and I had one person that went out of their way to Dallas Baptist University just answer a bunch of questions for me and help me out and point me in the right direction. The difference is that she spent more time doing it and was patient and did not look at it as if it was a hassle or obligation and even helped find me some additional ways to get back onto the campus. I’ve had a lot of friends and family members graduate from that school including recent family members and I have a cousin that is about to attend that school and I could not be happier that they are going to a place with such a great faculty and staff along with a beautiful campus. I recommend if you have any questions about career fairs, job fairs, student services, or general questions at all you call and speak to Akita Cook. She was so patient and helpful and stayed on the line with me longer than all the other colleges I’ve spoken with combined. I hope that she is given recognition for this as this is a lost attribute at most schools now with everything being automated for students, employers, and others who find it difficult to even reach someone much less have the excellent service from this employee of this great university. I attended DBU from 2010-2014 and graduated with a B.B.A in Marketing and a minor in Psychology. The only regret I have is not choosing to do the fast track program where you can get your Bachelor's and Master's in 5 years. My time at DBU completely changed my life for the better. The professors there are amazing and genuinely care about their students. I still remain friends with some of my professors to this day. The atmosphere in general is really uplifting and so positive. I was in a sorority during my time at DBU and fostered many friendships, some of them lifelong. If I could go back and do it all over again I would. I also participated in the Discipleship Program (highly recommended) for two years and had the most amazing mentor who completely changed my life. DBU really is an amazing school filled with countless opportunities and countless ways to build community with other students. since I started school in dallas colleges(2019) this summer 2022 is the worse for me. My professor O'Brien is never available, no help from him, and has denied access to all the features that other professors give access to students in order to help us. I went to the campus to talk to an advisor after sending him more than 5 emails, even at the campus No one knew his whereabouts and he finally responded after 2 weeks since i told him I think I'll drop that class he didn't even bother to try and assist me instead he said yes you can drop it and you'll for sure find the same class with another instructor good luck. Im only a freshmen at Mountainview community college but I already have a great opinion on the institution. I love the greenery surrounding the buildings because they make me feel tranquilized, I love the inclusivity this college gives and the diversity here. The professors that I have so far have been amazing and makes my classes worth looking forward to. I visited the school store in the S building just last week and I really love everything the store has to offer such as snacks, school supplies, feminine products, hygiene products, cosmetics, and basic necessities! The subway in the dining hall has welcoming employees with great customer service. The success coaches in the S building are also very helpful with planning for classes and addressing any concerns you may have. I love this college!Brianna

I have been attending Texas Wesleyan since the Spring 2018 semester with a semester break after my first one. This school has changed my life. I've seen some of the other reviews and claims that it is a "liberal university… brainwashing their students," or that it is "too expensive" and "not worth the price." From my experience here, none of that is true. To start with the first claim, what happens here inside the classroom is that the professors, both liberal and conservative, require their students to provide evidence for their claims when they hand out assignments about controversial and non-controversial topics. That is not brainwashing; it is teaching students how to think for themselves, and in a society devoted to freedom, one cannot be free if they cannot think for themselves and question what they've been taught. As to the other claims about the price of the school, yes, this private university is more expensive than other schools in the area. However, what you are getting when you pay for these classes is a much smaller class size than any other school that I know if in DFW. This is extremely helpful for all students that attend and are willing to take advantage of professor office hours and the ability to ask questions in the middle of class. It only takes a willingness to use the resources available, resources we pay for, to be successful. With that in mind, tuition does go up, as it does at every college and university, but Texas Wesleyan goes out of its way to find grants, scholarships, and other types of tuition assistance for their students. There is a lot of care and love put into every aspect of what this school does and I wouldn't trade it for any other school in the metroplex.Steven Leach

Worst university to put your money and effort as once you try to look for jobs they have very less credibility infact many ppl who live around don't even know about this university exists. Choose another school. They charge way too much and do nothing to better the student living quarters. Have old dirty washers and dryers. Clogged sinks. Took too long to set dates for graduation ceremonies. Literally didn’t have the times until about 4 wks prior to graduation. Very unorganized. Maintenance never responds to or fixes repair requests. Security gate always broken and it’s not in the safest of neighborhoods. Don’t really do many student activities. Not worth the money at all!!!Google user

UPDATE: I was told that career services had been developed since 2014 so I began my masters here… they only changed the name of the website. They did get a new president which I have no earthly idea what he has done because this is the biggest waste of money. You still get the same answer in career services or any department there, “go check online.” It is sad for the great professors here that all the current student reviews mentioned. They deserve better and so do alumni. Past post (2014) The reason I gave it two stars is strictly because of the good professors there. As alumni I will even admit, this school has absolutely nothing else going for it. They have untrained teenage kids handling all your paperwork with HORRIFIC customer service. The most common phrase you hear when you interrupt their cellphone time by asking them a question is, it's online. The career services department is very underdeveloped, do not expect assistance finding a career after graduation. The most you will get is help developing a Tarleton version of linkedin. Honestly, the school is seemingly unorganized and I feel like the dining hall faculty are more friendly to the students rather than faculty who work in the administration parts of the school itself. Parts such as Advising services, housing, or Financial aid for example. (Although not all faculty of course but it seems to be more rude staff than you'd think). Some students have a problem with parking, resulting in parking in no parking zones. The website wasn't helpful to me at all when I was registering. They make you watch videos instead of putting steps on the same page. Rates for housing is pretty ridiculous especially since the meal plan is separate. In my opinion I feel that if the housing rates is going to be 3,000+ they should at least give you the meal plan instead of having to pay a extra 2,000 for that. I don't feel like the school or administration or whatever you want to call it are trying to be very helpful of anything so I don't really feel very secure I should say.BRangerBot

Amazing school…. I am considered a distance learner here at the satellite campus in Waco Tx… I completed my bachelor's in criminal justice August 2011 I enjoyed the curriculum so much & my instructors that I have returned to complete my master's degree here, set to graduate December 2017 (graduated May 2018 with Masters of Criminal Justice)… for those students who say they did not or have not had a pleasant experience I do not possibly understand why, the staff is always helpful & if not ask for a supervisor….education at a university level is not handed to you it is a must that one grasp a understanding of their learning environment & set realistic goals! buses and parking are nightmares here. No parking or you will have to pay everytime you park including weekend whereas other schools often free. Buses always late and full. The school not even tried to get more buses. Also, there is 40mins wait between 2 buses. Finally, unequal opportunity for on cambus job or help. We came to many departments and asked for help but they rarely tried to solve but kept saying we could not do anything. And we came back multiple time and the other did help us out. So what is the point of saying we cannot do anything when another people in the department can? unequal training? Also, if you are looking for a job here, good luck!duc nguyen

I enjoyed my time at UNT, made some great friends, and I have good memories. However, this University is not longer a place of higher education but a political activist training ground. I never thought that I’d see the day that The First Amendment would not be honored at UNT, but that is what has happened. And to think I have a degree in Criminal Justice from there is similar to being trained as an EMT by Dr. Kevorkian. The Grad program is a joke. I've never met more people incompetent of doing their job. The undergrad school should conduct training with the grad school to get them up to par. Because they dropped the ball, I now get stuck with their issues. Also the elderly lady working in billing should take a phone etiquette class. We are in 2022. There shouldn't be this many issues consistently happening. Yet, the undergrad side was on top of every single aspect. Dr. Anne is one of the most patient, caring, incredible human beings I have ever met in my entire life. She speaks and teaches from the heart. She has a way of communicating that not only makes you feel comforted and safe, but also pushes you to recognize things you may have wanted to hide. I've been to therapy off and on throughout my life. As I have yet to find all the answers, therapy remains necessary. Out of the probably fifteen or so Therapists I've gone to throughout my life, I've had one or two good (not great) ones. But, something was missing – God. So, I decided to seek out Christian Therapists. I spent years, off and on, trying to find a good Christian Therapist with little luck. Ultimately, every time, I ended up going to a secular Therapist. So finally, I decided to pray and get the Lord's help finding a therapist. Right away, I found Dan at Homestead Hope. Dan is a great listener as well as a great story teller. His credentials are impressive and you can see all of that education and experience very clearly in each and every session. He does a terrific job finding the "sweet spot" between all the elements of therapy. It's important to give each client just the right amount of education, listening, calming, guidance, encouragement, etc. And Dan, in my experience, is a master at this. And don't get me wrong – he doesn't balance these things in such a way to keep you comfortable so much as to ensure you are learning and growing at a pace at which you are capable. It's never too much and never too little. I feel like I've grown in significant ways during and after most sessions. And let me tell you – that says a lot about Dan. God is ever-present in each and every session. God's love is strong in that room and He uses Dan to help lift you up. God is the key. So for me, this is crucial to successful therapy. I highly recommend Dan to anyone ready to get down to business in their therapy. And if you're not quite ready, but want to be – don't worry. I'm sure he can help guide you to that that place. I don't recommend this school for anyone except those who can't wait to attend a reputable school to get their A&P license. The "salesmen" up front do a good job of lying through their teeth by telling you how wonderful the school is and how much you'll get out of it. In reality every student, except one, that I've talked to said that this school isn't worth it and that it's like attending high-school again except you're an adult, yet you're treated like a child still by some instructors. The school itself has a wonderful front side view with happy students performing tasks on the windows of the building, walking inside you see the colorful aviation themed walls, a lot of recent cosmetic work has been done. However, this does not sit well with students. Students have been griping about having tools that are broken and unusable, not having enough resources to complete projects, not having appropriate manuals for reference, and fixing the A/C so that student aren't sweating while trying to work in class. Instead of even acknowledging the complaints listed, the school has replaced every projector in every classroom with TVs. The instructors range from a wide variety of characters. Some are an abundance of knowledge and experience that students appreciate and often times go to for help in-between classes or during after school tutoring. Others make up for their lack of knowledge by reading straight out of the text book all day, talk excessively about arbitrary experience and lessons that go nowhere, except to make the instructor feel better about themselves, and expect you to not fall asleep, or not do something else better with your time like study for upcoming exams. These instructors will go on and on and ask you things like "what German scientist developed this engine in WW2?" Or ask juniors and seniors like they're five years old "what do we do when we have to go inspect the aircraft? Consult the maintenance manual!" Thanks for the information but I don't need to know who developed said engine or answer your pointless questions to get my license. Half of the quizzes/projects/worksheets have their answers from the Avotek textbooks. This literature is considered outdated by the FAA, and most students do not have access to these books. They either have to find an instructor who kept theirs and share it to find the answers they need, use google to figure it out, or work with the instructor and find out the answers together. The students themselves are a wide variety of people from all walks of life. Some are bright individuals with a promising future, some are here because they know they want to further their education and heard this school starts classes every month, and others are here because someone is paying for their education. About half of the students were in service and are utilizing their G.I Bill benefits, the other half are either straight out of high-school, adults going to school and also working full time or the occasional foreign student who moved here to get his license. As mentioned earlier, this school is exactly like high-school, there will be drama among students and teachers alike, typically students playing ping pong. If you're expecting to attend this school keeping to yourself and just focusing on you, that probably won't be the case. TL;DR: -If you are used to having to work in a time crunch, with limited resources, with minimal instruction and direction, then you still shouldn't go here. -Ping pong is taken more seriously here than actual classes. -If you HAVE to go here, students agree that night shift has better instructors. -You're gunna sweat while reading power points.Lexington

Overall the experience is pretty good Instructors and front office are very proactive with students teaching them with the material they are given as well as sharing their own personal experience and even having tours on some of the Instructors job's really is a great experience, I'll have to say the strongest point here is having varies students in the field work together and learn from each other as much as they learn from instructors and making friendships with people in the same field helps in the long run as the Aviation industry is very connected and news goes around quick! However there are a couple of cons I have so cant give a full five star rating first keep your eye on your financial aid paperwork not saying anything bad about the department but mistakes have been made to fellow students and some had to drop out unfortunately and second this school is predominately military but it is surprising how many Graduates flock here just out of High school unless said individual has experience in Aviation or subset skill anywhere in the industry or over the age of 25 should NOT be omitted into the program as in my experience in the twenty-one month long program most students under that age and lacking proper experience were lost souls wasting their time, money, space for other students that know what they are doing, and despairingly putting themselves into debt and didn't even know it. hopefully I hit some points thanks for readingQatar

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! i saw the bad reviews and ignored them and now i am too far in to stop. I wish I could give negative stars. the instructors do not care or know the material. they read word for word from a power point. the students find mistakes and wrong answers on the test and have to correct it, and the instructors do not want to. I paid off my books, and they told me a week later I owed them $90. when I asked them what for they said, "I do not know" and got mad at me when I refused to pay it. they do not have enough materials or tools we need to do the projects. we are hardly allowed to touch the planes here. the veterans are supposed to get $1961 a month for BAH as of Jan 2020, and this month of feb 2020, they only got about $1400. the A&P's we have at the hanger i work at found out i was going here, and made an ugly face. where they were at before, the work that A&P's from AIM could be identified very easily, and not in a good way. they got their education somewhere else at a community college for about $15,000, AIM cost over $48,000. this place has a terrible reputation. when theses issues are brought to their attention they do not care and just blow you off. As a former employee at Fort, I do not recommend treatment here. Don’t believe all the 5 star reviews because some are written by administration (Angel Chandler, Bernard Hewitt, Michael S etc) and they encourage employees to do the same. I can’t speak for the adult side but the adolescent program is not what it is advertised to be. People send their loved ones here to get better but instead they’re paying for an over priced babysitter as some of the kids would put it. They’re always under investigation and tell staff to lie to investigators. The kids rarely speak to a therapist. There are kids who have been there for weeks and have yet to see a therapist. And the “therapists” they see aren’t even licensed or equipped for some of these children. The turnover rate is high due to terrible administration and as a result the facility is always short staffed and the kids suffer due to not properly being supervised. Some of the care coordinators really care and often times have to pay out of pocket to provide the kids with basic necessities such as lotion, soap etc. Whenever anyone tries to advocate for the kids, they get fired. The children confide in some of us and there has been a trend of them feeling racially discriminated by some staff members and I’ve seen it myself along with constant bullying from other residents and management ignores it. The director, has said it himself that he doesn’t like the children on the spectrum. People like this should not be trusted to work in this field. Let’s not forget the fact that the children can’t even sit on the couches on the units for whatever reason. Instead, they sit on the floors or bean bags all day. They only care about money. Many times there isn’t any room for some of the kids and instead of making them go elsewhere to get help, they house these kids on different units with a population they cannot relate to and sometimes get into conflicts with. Many of the kids feed clothes, shoes etc and every time they ask, they’re told, “tomorrow”. This is not the place for treatment. They don’t see therapists, rarely do any groups or activities and all they do is sit around all day doing “leisure activities” i.e. watching TV, coloring etc if staff allows. Often times these kids will call home to tell what’s really going on in the facility and Angel reassures the parents by lying to them. Do don’t waste your money here! Anyone with a heart leaves or is waiting for other employment. Hopefully investigators will finally see through the lies and this place gets shut down. Because zero stars isn't an option. Camp Worth DID NOT live up to its mission to provide me and my family with the assistance as they proclaim. My child was admitted and discharged after only SIX days of a 45 day treatment plan. He wasn't even there a week to acclimate to his new settings nor did anyone from Camp Worth meet with us to set up to discuss options/alternative behavioral plan as stated in the parent manual. I was called by Jessica to come and pick my son up which I gladly obliged. I find it interested that this business has seemed to locate all of the available stock photos of Black children for advertisement on their Facebook page, but add to the same systemic problem of "keeping Autism white" by creating barriers to treatment and resources for Black families to receive care for their child/ren with ASD. During my child's stay, he was the only Black child there and said he felt treated differently and he felt is was attributable to his race. This staff is "diverse", but anti-Blackness presents itself in a myriad of ways by people of all backgrounds. I have yet to hear back concerning my refund for the money paid upfront for treatment he did not receive. Maybe that's their way of "getting the bag". This is a cautionary tale.Tiffany Fuller

Please read recent reviews. I DID NOT. I just discharged my teen….early. Maybe some people do not listen to their teens, or give them the respect of having opinions, but when your handing over your teen to get help mentally,physically and emotionally…you want the environment to be able to help your child thrive. I love the programs the website describes for Evergreen Program…unfortunately it's not what they are providing. I requested info on which groups my daughter was attending at day 4 when she told me they stay in one room all day. On day 13 she had a total of 6 groups she participated in…only 2 led by licensed therapist. I went up the ladder of employees to inquire and try to confirm what was going on during day. I was nicely told the website was supposed to be getting updated with removing and adding things but child was still receiving same amount of services. Not true. She didn't even see a therapist daily. If your teen needs to be locked up and medicated for 30 days…this place is perfect. If you need actual therapy… please wait till they are staffed enough. Make sure at beginning you get a detail of what your child will be receiving. We went into debt for nothing.Kristen Hamady

I was referred to a counselor here by my primary. The consult and visit went very well. Hate the clinic was not covered in my plan. The reason I am taking 2 stars is because of the phone receptionist/admin. I called later in an attempt to get a receipt. As I spoke, she was rushed and didn't ask any clarifying questions of what was needed or dollar amount. When I tried explaining she rushed past me talking so I figured she would send. This first conversation was in the morning. Around almost 5p…I still had not received. I called her back and she said she would try to get to me before she left. I never raised my tone and tried to explain that I needed it asap to remove a freeze on my account. Her snappish response was "Well..you didn't tell me that this morning". 😶😑 Again the counselor was amazing but being in this field I would have expected a different response from someone whose the gatekeeper or welcome committee to those trying to get services. Was a little taken back by the interaction. Part 2: Adjusted/edited the rating. Receptionist called me back and and was pleasant this time around. Explained the reason for the delay and told me she would get to it asap/by end of day. I appreciate the call back and her tone this time around. Understand we all have hectic days. Thanks! Part 3: A full day later and still have not received receipt nor call back regarding status. I did receive a generic response to my review regarding being short staffed. Disappointed. I really thought this was going to be resolved. Debated giving 3 stars but feel 2 star is warranted.Shay Kennedy

Dixie, the office manager, goes above and beyond the call of duty. She was kind and knowledgeable. Dixie helped me to choose the perfect therapist for my child. On our first visit, Dixie came out to greet us. She explained the process of filing my insurance and how even though I had BCBS, the mental health portion had been outsourced to another company. I was surprised because this information was not on my insurance card. Dixie told me the therapist was out of network with GEHA, but she would try to help us with the claim. After filing the claim, Dixie was unable to reach the company so she suggested a three way call where I called and merged her in. On the first of several three way calls I heard one person from GEHA say the claim was being processed and the next time we called them they said the claim was never received. Then unfortunately my wife experienced the same issue of GEHA not responding to the her dermatologist’s insurance claim. What a mess! I felt bad that the people helping us were not getting paid. All the staff at Counseling By Penny, made my child’s first experience with counseling positive.Charles Smith

I had been seeing Alyssa for almost a year in September 2021. She is very professional while still being relatable and easy to talk to. She has helped me tackle adulthood and grow as an individual so much! I moved here during the pandemic and was lonely and depressed. She helped me join a community group to make friends and encouraged me to move out into my own apartment. She talked me through toxic relationships and a bad breakup. She also helped me manage my anxiety and panic attacks. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her. I am so grateful for her help. Unfortunately, I lost my insurance and had to stop seeing her recently, but I know I can continue to use the tools and skills she taught me in therapy. I can’t thank her enough. She is amazing and I highly recommend her!! She is extremely hard working and was always accessible and willing to help even while she was pregnant and just had a new born baby! What happened with those people who posted bad reviews and keep harping on about insurance and getting calls back, did we even go to the same place? I've been going to counseling with Dr. Nebbia for several months now and never had any issues with insurance, and consistently received appointment reminder calls and other needed follow-ups. Furthermore, the receptionists are extremely helpful and courteous. Whatever. Anyway, counseling is a strange journey and unique to each person. I came in with ADHD, Autism, and Major Depressive Disorder, because those and other personal issues had begun to affect my grades in school. I felt pretty wretched. A few months later I've started to feel better, enough to continue growing and improving on my own. Many of my old relationships that I thought were unhealthy were healed and renewed, I began to be able to focus on school again, gained an enormous amount of social confidence, and even started praying again (I'm Catholic, but had begun to lapse). I can't say what your experience will be, because I don't know what your issues are. But for me, Dr. Nebbia was just what I needed. If you put in the work to get better rather than trying to control the process, and really focus on listening to her and being honest about yourself, it pays off in ways you can't imagine. Dr. DellaNebia (the head therapist) is very nice, but no longer takes new patients (just testing, but not therapy). We've been trying for 7 MONTHS to be seen by one of her staff therapists and it has been a complete frustrating mess… they schedule us, we wait a month to be seen, have an intake. We wait for a month for a 2nd appt, he spends appt #2 telling us how they are letting him go unexpectedly and how frustrated he is (hardly any therapy, just him letting my son play in a toy box while he tells this to me), then the therapist leaves. We had to wait again for a new therapist with openings, got a new appt scheduled (another month out), had an intake appt, were waiting a month for our 2nd appt, then got a call that that therapist left too! Now we are another 2 months in, waiting on a call back if a THIRD therapist ever has an opening. I keep paying for intake appts (to repeat all the same info), then their turnover dumps us right back at the beginning. 🙄 Two stars because they also do psych testing and Jason + Dr. D were great for the psych test. For people who aren't already one of Dr. D's patients… Real Hope Real Help has been AWFUL to try ti get kid's therapy from!!!!Katie S

Chris Carter he is a great doctor. We’re had a great experience to get our teenage son the help he needs. He’s has been outstanding with all the testing to come to a diagnosis and therapist it’s really help with navigating through the challenges of life and kids who are in desperate need of good mental health treatment. Made numerous attempts to schedule an appointment with this office, but gave up in frustration. Office is more like a business than a doctor's office. Every conversation or message received was about insurance coverage and the amount to be paid. While we are not wealthy people, we feel that our child's mental health is more important than the payment and were willing to pay what was required to get the help that they needed. The new patient scheduler is totally incompetent and knows very little about the office procedures. That was apparent with the numerous times I was placed on hold for them to receive clarification. Also, if we're paying for the services of a licensed physician, we do not want our child to see "an assistant." After over a month of attempts to schedule an appointment for our child, I found out that their availability was a month out. My usual provider just left without warning so I was scheduled with a new provider (Jenny Bui) who would consistently make me repeat myself. She even went as far as calling me back after hours and literally asked me the same questions she asked during my appointment earlier in the day. Now that I want to change providers, the front desk has to "get her permission". Nope – I am in charge of who I want to see for MY medical care. I asked for my records and was told it would be a $40 charge…for MY records… but if a new office requested them there wouldn't be a charge. Needless to say, I won't be back and I don't blame my first provider for leaving either…Hoehn Family

Do not recommend this psychiatrist-tried to prescribe me serious medication within the first five minutes of meeting me and when I refused the medication I was belittled. The women I saw was not even a psychiatrist but a nurse working for the psychiatrist. Great place for your kids, good price and i like that they offer help to low income. My concern is that sometimes they hire irresponsible young people at school sites whom don’t answer the cell or texts. As a child care center they shld be aware of wether or not the child attends that day and let the parent know if Child didn’t attend if not advised prior to the absence. There shld definitely be an open communication with the parents because you all are the ones with our children while we are at work. I tried to submit a complaint/concern but found no way of doing it or someone to hear me out. I can’t speak for all sites Hough just my experience.P

My son just completed the 2 week ABA program through BDC. It was a great experience. We saw lots of changes . His problematic behavior decreased dramatically and we begin to see him do skills that we have not seen for awhile. The RBTs were great. Very personal and quick to give you answers to questions. Kristina was excellent. She trained me and when she didn't know the answers she went to Melinda. Melinda was excellent. Very hands on. We had access to her throughout the day and she changed our son's plan immediately if she saw that it was not effective. We had an overall positive experience. The only thing that was not so good is that we cannot continue to take advantage of the other services that CSC has available due to insurance. Hoping to still get my son to the developmental Pediatrician there if not then I am just grateful that we got the 2 weeks. I was really hoping that I can get more help from them but now its in our hands to find whatever resources we can for our son. It does seem like that get a lot of application so waiting may take awhile but take full advantage of it if they do call you. It is worth it. I would advise parents to keep pushing and researching the programs that are out there….its tough and sometimes you run into a lot of road blocks….I felt that way when we left CSC on Friday….I felt like what now???? but I spent the weekend researching other options and I am hoping that something comes around for us…until then i will work hard to continue doing what I was trained to do in the program. I can’t recommend this center for diagnosis nor ABA therapy. In January, I mailed an application to seek an autism evaluation for my child. I was told when I called that there’s a waiting list for new patients. It wasn’t until the end of April that I received a response to my application. The letter simply read that we were placed on a waiting list. No further info was provided about how long it would be. Needless to say I went elsewhere to get a diagnosis for my child. Last month in May, I reached out to them again to get more information about ABA therapy services. I could never get a hold of a live person to speak to. I played phone tag with someone who was not the correct person I needed to speak with. My contact info was never forwarded to the correct department for follow up which speaks volumes to me about their customer service skills. And I’ve worked in customer service in the medical field for over 15 years. It’s unreasonable to expect a parent to wait an unknown amount of time for an evaluation. Also, why an application and correspondence must be done via snail mail and telephone calls only is bizarre when email correspondence is much faster and efficient. If you are seeking a neurological evaluation for your child, please don’t wait for these people to respond back to you. Go to your pediatrician and get a referral to another facility or doctor. I would recommend Dr. Mike Rios. His office responded in a timely manner and can still safely provide an evaluation during this pandemic.Cristina Martinez

My son completed the 2 week program through BDC. Staff was great my son and I learn a lot. The first week was great the second week I left like I wasn’t taken serious and i don’t know if it had to do with the fact that I disconnected one of our goals the feeding part. I decided to not continue because I didn’t like that my son had to be held down and force to eat foods he didn’t like and him crying. I was told that was part of the program which I don’t recall hearing that they would do that in the zooming meeting before starting the program. That day I was told if I couldn’t handle it then this wasn’t the program for me and that this was a founded program and they wanted make sure it was being used for people who really needed it. Made me feel like I was wasting their time. We completed the program. The last day we scheduled a zoom meeting to go over discharge paper work which was a week later. I logged in to the meeting waited 15-20 min no one ever showed up so we rescheduled to the following week. The next week came logged in the meeting waited 15-20 minutes same thing no one in the meeting. After the 3rd zoom meeting finally went over some stuff and the plan was to continue some goals before finalizing discharge paperwork. We were supposed to meet in a week never got the zoom link I emailed request a zoom link no reply from anyone. I understand that my son is not the only patient they see but some kind of communication would of been nice. I do appreciate the time and effort.Maricela Santiago

I strongly recommend not to contact Hawkins Psychiatry for anything. Very negative experience! Michelle, the office manager, is simply unprofessional. I voiced my concern with her about the office failing to answer any of my phone calls regarding scheduling a follow-up appointment. She not only failed to take ownership, she hung up in my face after yelling at me. I shared my experience with Dr. Hawkins about the negative interaction with Michelle, the office manager. He also failed to acknowledge my negative experience, and sent me an email stating to "seek behavioral health services from another provider." This place of business is a nightmare from top to bottom. Very unprofessional, and it doesnt look like they will even try to get better. I strongly recommend not to contact Hawkins Psychiatry for anything.Stahili M

I suffer from Bi-Polar Depression. Dr. Hawkins and his staff of greatness has helped me create a goal and stay focused. This in itself helps control the anxiety,depression, and along with the right medications I’m able to be myself keep a job I even own my own company. Thank you Dr.Hawkins. You have been a big part of my awakening to a life of confidence. Do I still get panic attacks? Of course! But they are by far so few I couldn’t say when the last time was that I had one. Updated: my psychiatrist forgot to call in my prescriptions and now I'm going through withdraws. 100% would not reccomend!!!! I would like to write a good review but thus far I've had nothing but issues. 1st issue was my dr not telling me I had to take a drug test to get my meds refilled. It took me calling for 3 days and then having to go to the office to get my meds, so I went through withdraws 2. Sometimes my dr. Calls me 20-30min before my scheduled appointment and if I don't answer I have to wait 30min-1hr if I even get another call. 3. The customer service is sub par but the manager listened to me at least and is the only reason for the second star.Cody Lewallen
