I would like to make it clear that I spoke with the Dean and the President of the students and got the students to sign a petition at fortis college and the President informed me that she has the power to change the way graduation is and she is not going too ! as a student I do not think its fair that we only have ONE commencement ceremony and students start a new term every six weeks i informed the president about the students reaction and suggested 2 ceremonies throughout the year so all students get a decent time to celebrate their accomplishments and she simply did not care also they use term "graduation'' in orientation but its really your "expected finish date" i think fortis has a lot to learn they say they are just like a real college but i think its just for the money bc why would you not want to celebrate your students accomplishments ??Jania Street

FORTIS HVAC COURSE HELPED ME TO START MY CAREER PATH. I’ve since started my own company. The Instructors at fortis are remarkable they take as much time with you as needed and then give more time even outside of school. My time at WCU BR has been nothing if not incredible. My instructors and fellow classmates have made me feel like a member of their families. For those who are not familiar with William Carey, this is a private Christian School of Nursing. They are based out of Mississippi but have a campus in Baton Rouge. In other schools in the area, the programs take two and a half years. The accelerated nursing program at William Carey can be finished in 18 months for a bachelor's degree, meaning I obtain a higher education level for less time. This is by far the best school I have ever attended. The small classes (30 or so students) make the learning environment one on one. You build relationships with the students and faculty. I know that they are rooting for my success just as much as I am. I am genuinely grateful to attend here.Jacklyn Aiello

I am absolutely stunned by any review that would reflect poorly on this amazing doctor and his absolutely lovely nurse and staff. Without question, Dr Dammers saved my life. I can barely remember the person I was when I first had my referral appointment – I felt I had tried everything and nothing had helped. And he took time to listen, never once made me feel rushed, he answered all of my questions – even the pretty silly ones I would blurt out, because no doctor had ever really listened before – and he truly got me to see that every person has different needs and the person who knows you and your life best is YOURSELF. He is clearly an expert in his field and was able to explain so many things about how the brain works with medicine and he wasn't afraid to say "we aren't sure exactly how this specific thing works". I wouldn't be the mother to my child I can be now if I hadn't been heard. And treated with respect. After every appointment I am smiling, hopeful, and confident. Absolutely choose this doctor if you can. Best choice I have made for my health.K Michelle

I would not recommend Dr. Dammers. I was new to the area and saw a general doctor that recommend him to me. I scheduled my first appointment with him for October (a month later) and the day before my appointment his office called to reschedule because he was going to be "out of town." His next available was a month later. I ended up having to reschedule the one for November due to a personal reason and could not make it. I got a call from his office (with an attitude) that because I rescheduled 3 times he thought it "best I do not show up to my appointment." The appointment with the general doctor that I showed up to apparently counts as a reschedule. I would not recommend him because without even meeting him, he seemed very unprofessional. It was a waste of time waiting a month between the reschedules just to be dismissed. Spend time on finding a doctor that will actually help!Isa

Dr. Dammers was highly recommended to me by a friend, and when I mentioned him to my GP, I received an equally positive opinion of him. I got the necessary referral, and have been seeing him for the past few years now. I find him to be very reasonable and easy to talk to. I feel he really listens, and neither over, nor under prescribes regarding medications. I’ve never had longer than a 20 minute wait before my appointment, and his nurse is always very friendly and helpful. I have encountered other aquantances since, who also see Dr. Dammers. Due to that, I know that a few particular grievances noted in some of these poor reviews are in direct difference to his general practices, so I would take those with a grain of salt. Yes, it can take a while to get an initial appointment, but that is true for anyone in his field, and you can make multiple future appointments at that time.Samantha Thibaut

She is very good with children and her testing methods. Post educational testing she took her time with explaining final results. Also, she provided guidance and a certified evaluation report, for personal records and school. It was a blessing to find out both my children were gifted. She was my therapist throughout high school and even a therapist to my father. While I haven’t seen her in years, all the things she has taught me in the time I saw her have really improved my anxiety as I got older and more familiar with how to take care of myself. I used to have panic attacks multiple times a day but now years later it’s not even every 6-8 months and I’m able to manage them and calm myself down. I wish I could afford to see her on my own nowadays, there’s a lot I wasn’t able to get through, but she’s very sweet and soft spoken and very observant. Dr. Hoppe didn't provide any solutions for my son's ADHD. He just restated the problems my son was having to us and attempted to make my son understand that he had an issue. Instead of giving us a solution or a method for helping our son cope with his disability he instead made it seem as if it was my child's fault for being attention deficient. He, in turn, prescribed my son medication which eventually lead to bigger problems later in his life. I would not recommend this Psychologist if your child suffers from Attention Deficit Disorder.Slater M Blanchard

Dr. Hoppe did an amazing job working with & testing my nephew that I'm raising. After we received all his testing results back, counseled us & shared them with his teachers, he's done a complete turnaround in school. He went from being the last in his class to being at the top of his class, with the "tweaks" that his teachers were more than willing to do in order to get him caught up and in a better place.
