I have been going to ,TX for 45 years and I have never been inside the Library.What a shame! The rooms are absolutely gorgeous.Detailed woodwork,marble and more. My son recently graduated from this college. He transferred in from a 2 year college so he was only there for 5 semesters. Things started okay but went downhill. Communication quickly became a problem. We had issues from professors, finance and counseling. It became so bad that to get anything done we had to cc the Dean in any messages that we sent. I also know of someone else who had to do the same thing. The last semester was the worst. He was enrolled as a full time student but when the bill came through it was in correct. We got loans for the first amount but had to get additional loans after the semester ended. No one sent an email we had to check the account because my son never received an email or his diploma. When we were notified by the finance department they told us we had to fix it. Numerous emails were sent to many different people but nothing was ever fixed. We finally resent the emails and cc’d the Dean and it finally got fixed. The college also changed the advisor without notifying us that it had changed. My son had to find his own internship and figure his classes out on his own. My daughter had the same issues with communication. She was signed up to go but never heard back. She then got a call from the advisor asking why she never showed up. The advisor had enrolled her in classes but never told her. She ended up not going. If you choose this college they will take your money but you will have to do a lot of work to make sure they are on top of things.Todd Crossett

I graduated from Roberts last year and I had a great experience. I do agree with some reviews that communication is not always great, but as long as you are proactive and take an active approach to your education here, you'll do wonderfully. The staff and students are very respectful and the professors seem to really care about you and your overall success. It is a nice size campus, not too busy and not too small. I went to undergrad here and loved it. There were always opportunities to learn outside of class, meet people through activities, and my professors knew who I was. A wonderful place to go to school and a great place to visit. The students here are almost all very kind, sweet, accepting, supportive, and open-minded people. They are slightly diverse in terms of demographics, and quite diverse in terms of personality. The college offers a diverse range of majors and excellent classes. It has particularly great music, performing arts, nursing, and physical therapy programs. Class sizes are not very big, with very few lecture hall-style class settings. The teachers are mostly very kind and care greatly about what they do. Tuition is very high, but depending on your program, it can be worth it. The campus is beautiful! It is full of nature and a mix of collegiate gothic and more modern buildings. It is small and dense, but not crowded. It is also very safe. Risk of theft or damage to property is very rare, but the latter is more common among lowerclassmen. There is so much history to uncover. It is located close to good places to shop, eat, and visit in Pittsford. The academic buildings are clean, well-lit, and mostly fitted with modern amenities. Bathrooms in some buildings are very clean, some are quite unclean. The lowerclassmen residence halls can be somewhat loud, are typically slightly unclean, but have many events to attend run by the RAs. There are dorm or suite-style living choices. Upperclassmen residence halls are mostly clean, almost always very quiet, and have dorm, suite, apartment-style living choices. Living arrangements are for full-time students only. The food in the Dining Commons is pretty good. It has a pretty diverse menu with some options tasting decent, some great. Other food locations around campus have a somewhat limited menu range and the food is mediocre. Some alternative dietary accommodations are met, and more will be made if requested. Facilities staff are mostly not friendly, but not unkind. The staff in the Dining Commons are mostly pretty friendly and very kind.Graeme Lechner

I received counseling services from John Aceto at Nazareth College. This man is sexually inappropriate! I met him to work on my shyness, and for the entire session he tried diagnosing me other issues. He told me I drink coffee everyday because I have "Caffeine-use disorder." That rediculous disorder is not even in the DSM! Then he diagnosed my father with Bipolar disorder, based on my childhood memories. He never even met my father in person. After the session, he began rubbing his hand on my back, telling me that he wanted to "help me out." I felt violated. BEWARE of this man! He will rope you in for other issues and try to take advantage of you. I expressed my concerns to the director, Megan Clifford Papponetti, and she black mailed me. She threatened to have me suspended, and that is exactly what she attempted. She shared my confidential assessments and sessions with my Ex and even to my professors. My professors were concerned about me, saying that they received a strange call from Megan "bragging about the information she found out about me." That was PERSONAL information that I trusted with the Nazareth College Counseling Center, and I was humiliated. Nazareth College, you should be ashamed of yourself! IC is composed of an amazing group of kids, many of whom have diverse interests. There's opportunities to learn new skills, from forestry to billiards to religion to music to dance. The town is made up of a smorgasbord of people who love conversation and will show you new parts of the world. There is no shortage of opportunity here and if you apply yourself and find what is right for you, there is a home at IC for you. While I enjoyed my time at IC, I can admit it was a challenge for me to find my footing here. Ithaca College is a great place for upper-middle white class folks in athletics. It's also great for the sociable types. But for true academics it can often fall short of being challenging or engaging. The teachers are fantastic, but the coursework is bland. There are a lot of preppy people, very fake people, but mostly just a population of people still trying to find themselves, which is normal. It can often be hard to find the right friends. But the community is huge, and you will find them if you try. The politics at IC (not the coursework but the administration) is rocky at best and getting rockier. IC needs to figure out their priorities and give the students (who put themselves into massive debt to attend this college) a good governing body who take pay cuts to give scholarships and better food and healthcare options. Also, on politics: Not only is the Ithacan so far left they nearly circle around back to right, but the entire political atmosphere is made up of so many people with so little real-world applicaple knowledge that it definitely put a weird taste in my mouth. White feminism is rampant. Otherwise it's a great school for communications, music, environmental studies, outdoor education, and business. If you want a liberal arts degree I would recommend another school. Utilize office hours. The teachers are amazing and filled with knowledge. Talk in class. Have discussions. Go off campus. A beautiful campus…that's about it. Don't look for friendly as you will only find phony. Got a great welcoming letter from Park School but when my son needed help, "Oh, we don't do that." Then called again, woman who sent welcoming letter with her home phone, cell phone and office phone provided on business card attached to the letter is no longer at the school. Son had no advisor, as advisor left school. No life line at this school. My son found school to be an elitist, obnoxious place. We wish he had never heard of Ithaca. Accommodations and view was amazing, BUT it would have been better if there was not so many stairs to get to and back from places. I considered D'Youville College for my Post 9/11 GI Bill graduate program. I ultimately picked another school which offered the degree I was interested in. By happenstance I spent my last semester of my studies at D'Youville. Wow, what a difference. While other schools pay lip service to Veterans, D'Youville is putting their money where their mouth is. At other schools, despite what they say, Vets are simply another number, a commodity they are anxious to attract for the easy money, but once enrolled, these Vets are quickly forgotten. A single staff member will be assigned Vets as a collateral duty, one of many hats they wear. D'Youville on the other hand has a staff of dedicated personnel whose sole job is to take care of Vets. Instead of being referred elsewhere, D'Youville gets resolution to any and all issues that their Vets encounter. They know how to successfully navigate the Veteran's Administration, as well as New York State benefits (e.g. Veterans Tuition Awards). Not only do they educate **ALLL** Vets (not simply limited the Gold Ribbon qualified Vets), but they also offer generous incentives for Vets' spouses and dependents. D'Youville offers more and more new degrees and programs every year. If you are not seriously looking at D'Youville for you education, you are wrong.Jerry Tidd

I been working in a community health program with the School of Nursing and Pharmarcy. My interaction wtih both students and professors has been excellent, and have surpass my expectations in wiliness to serve the community. About the D'Youville social life, this is a small college and their social life is during lunch time in Spot Coffee, which is located in the basement. In short, the DYC is good for those who want to focus in their studies and have theirs social life somewhere else because you will not find crazy frat parties in here.alice campbell

The education I'm receiving at Syracuse University is second to none the professors are great and most of the friends I've made here are Syracuse University students friends that I will probably run into later in life the friends you make here are Syracuse University students from around the world, and some here in your own hometown, friends that you will make for life the professors are great they give you the tools you need for success in today's economy and in life and your own personal success. My son is a recent Syracuse grad. From his first campus visit he felt a connection to this place. From his first day as a freshman through his last day at graduation, this school has given him great classes, amazing professors, lifelong friendships, travels to London, two final fours in four years. sleeping out in the cold for ten days before the sold out Duke game and many epic memories in the Carrier Dome. Syracuse University has so much to offer that smaller schools just don't. The campus is really nice and very well maintained. The finacial aid is great. The staff really helped him prepare for life after graduation as he had several job opportunities. My son loved Syracuse so much he decided to stay after getting a job right away. I had great professors and excellent guidance. I think. I mean, it WAS the first half of the seventies! Seriously though, I got everything I paid for, and more, from this great institution. Great school. Gorgeous Campus. Intense greek life. I am a current second semester freshman and on the track team here at Trine. I'm quite the social person and go out on the weekends and I'll be honest (like most complain about), the gender ratio here is very poor. Due to a high school focus on engineering, quite a few students aren't awfully social. If you're social enough, don't worry about it. Academics here are some of the best in the nation and most firms from Indiana are quick to hire Trine University graduates. (Side note: a fraternity brother of mine was hired in CA for being a Trine grad) Greek Life here has so much influence. I never saw myself joining a fraternity until I got here, for there's so much that comes from it. From the combined fraternities and sororities alone, I can't even tell you an exact number of philanthropy events that are held. Just know it is a lot. As a parent of a new Trine student & football player, I can tell you that our experience so far is far from the last reviewer. I'm only giving it 4 stars only because he hasn't even started class yet, I can review again later. Yes, we were shown the new apartment style living and our son is living in the old style dorm, not a big deal. He can change next year if he chooses! Working with the staff and administration has gone smoothly so far. My son took an online summer course which also went well. So much to say I don't know where to start! A small school that is big on options for programs and degrees, caring staff that know your child by name and not just as a number, a wide variety of sports and extra curriculars, located in Angola which offers plenty of shopping options for last minute items or stocking up, close to lakes and a state park which makes visits less complicated, but perhaps the biggest reason is how Trine creates a home away from home atmosphere that encourages learning and growth, while reassuring parents and loved ones. The only reason ppl go here and are willing to grossly pay for an education is the location. I went to school here and will say it is far overpriced for the education you are given. Some staff are great and really care about the education they are providing. Others just read off a powerpoint and have no interest except for a paycheck. Pace is expensive, doesn't help the students getting internships and when the students get one on their own, Pace takes the credit. After graduating, the students don't get a job. One of their alumni just got a good job and due to she owes money, they don't give her transcripts and are retaining her title. Is not possible for Pace to help when the students really need help? This is a good school. However, the quality is almost identical to the CUNY school I attended before coming here that costed significantly less. Additionally, the lack of diversity (granted, because of how this is a private school) is also lacking. My daughter just graduated from Cal U. She had an excellent experience and enjoyed her 4 yrs there. She has continued to a masters program at Pitt and has had no trouble finding work or getting accepted into other programs. All universities function in a similar way and it's up to the student to take advantage of all the opportunities that the school offers. Very nice but small University. Very clean and there were lots of campus police around. The cafeteria was limited on options. They could definitely do better with that. Probably the worst options from any of the 10-15 campuses we've visited. Only other downside is it's literally in the middle of nowhere. Nothing is around. I believe this is a good school. I think I got a good graduate level education here. The tuitions are reasonable. Being in a less urban area, it is usually easier to find parking than the university where I completed my undergraduate degree. My alma mater, as of 1975. I considered it an optimal learning opportunity, and (at the time frame considered…) a quite reasonable investment. The only 'drawback' (at the time) being the regular 'business of life' [and unfortunately as well, death – Cancer, in Family]. Exigencies are unavoidable, and need to be addressed a.s.a.p., and can cascade into other further nets of decisions. I certainly did enjoy my stay there (the area, as well as the great University !). There was just never enough time to fully explore the many opportunities. If only one could repeat some experiences, possibly change some choices, and avail others… but then one could add that reflection to many things. Amazing Geology program, filled with the some of the most intelligent members of the field. Professors legitimately care about student success and the curriculum is top notch. Additionally, the field trips are all well planned and very educational. It’s unfortunate that I have to write this review but I am in hopes of MCPHS revising their admissions process for the Physician Assistant Program. I know that I was not the only student this year that was invited to interview and then closed out of an interview spot and placed on a waiting list. When I contacted MCPHS they told me that I may not get to interview after all as they had accidentally invited too many people to interview and did not have the resources to open up more interview dates even though acceptances are not on a rolling basis. How does a top tier medical university not have the resources to interview all the students they invited? By choosing to interview solely the people that happened to secure spots first, not only are they limiting the potential of their incoming class and proving that they only care about filling the spots for monetary reasons, but they are limiting the future of numerous successful students who worked hard to get an interview invitation. When I asked Jordan Hunt (admissions counselor) to make sense of this she was unable to provide a competent answer besides that the university messed up and the incoming students are the ones facing the repercussions. I’m not writing this for myself, but for the other students who were too timid to speak up or who had chosen this school as their top choice and then got screwed. I truly feel bad for some of the other incoming students who do not have other options and were relying on MCPHS. I am very disappointed. MCPHS either needs to change their interviewing process to rolling acceptances (interviewing the top tier students first and then going down the line) or they need to use this model but be willing to open up more dates in case of overflow. Side note: They informed me that students on the waiting list could be notified up to a day before an interview that a spot had opened up. Do they not take into consideration that everyone doesn’t live near Boston or works full-time? Extremely dissatisfied with this supposedly “top tier” medical college.Maddy Frank

Hey guys, good for all the students giving great remarks. I don't know if the school has paid you. I must say i was in the nursing program , ( the set that started 2005) the teachers were very bad. Everything was very difficult, out of 50 students that got into the nursing program only 15 students or even less that graduated from the program. Judy Murphy was very racist, no room for improvement. It was a very bad school. I will recommend another school any day any time as matter off fact the school needs to refund money back to students that paid for tuition. All they care about is your money and not the students. It was a very traumatic experience. It was one of the worst decision i have ever made in life to attend that college. I Owe up to 100,000 in debt with no nursing degree to show for. I thank the Almighty God i got my degree from another school with no stress or frustration. Guys open your eyes and look for another school. I just finished my second-year in PharmD program in MCPHS. I’m gonna transfer to Worcester to study the accelerated program. I have had great time in MCPHS so far. All professors are very nice and friendly. I haven’t met any professor who’s not willing to help student wholeheartedly. They always have office hours to answer students’ inquiries and to clarify the lecture in case the students don’t understand. There are absolutely no discrimination in MCPHS. It’s all about respect. Every MCP student is very welcoming so we have a very close-knit community in MCP. The program is well-designed and bearable. Sometime I feel overwhelmed but it’s not impossible to pass as many people say. You just need to put time and effort and you’ll be fine. In short, MCPHS is a great university for those who seriously pursuit a professional career in pharmacy and health sciences.Bill Nguyen

If I could give this institution zero stars I would be. Don’t waste your time with GCC, they will waste your time and money without any doubt in my mind. Don’t fall for the “it’s a beautiful campus” thing, because for example the nursing program is going downhill according to some alumni I’ve spoken to, who are now clinical instructors. I would never even refer to this place as a school let alone a college. Being a transfer student, I have experience with other more legitimate schools and universities. Professors will tell you they are there to help, but seem somehow to make themselves as inaccessible as possible. I wouldn’t recommend their nursing program to anyone.Joe Cooper

I only attended this school for two months online and I did not like it. First and foremost, the weekend class started, I had double deaths in the family. Only two of the staff members showed any type of sympathy. The only thing my instructor said was to make sure I handed in my work by the extended dead line. Also, when I called the office to get the passcode to activate my student portal, the guy was very nasty. He snapped at me as though I was wrong for calling for assistance. When he gave me the password, he quoted to me as if I were a child and I bet I am older than he is. I saw no professionalism, I was sent an email as admission, and introduction. A lady from Operation Graduation is the one who guided me through the set up, and all. I tried reaching out to my instructor via text and email with a question, I have YET to receive a reply. I didn't like the format of how to retrieve certain information such as emails, financial aid, etc., nor did I like the fact of having to borrow old text books. If you don't get to keep the books and the books are not new, and also if they have no lap-top programs, and the staff sucks, what are the students paying for? I have tranferred elsewhere. 1st This school is a rip off. I am a straight A Student and the 1st problem occurred when I logged into my account to withdraw from a class, I never started any of the work I also did it (withdrew) with in the allotted time frame I never received a conformation. So I logged back in to check if they had withdrew me the following week. NOT. I called an they said well we can't help you . F dropped my 4.0. 2nd part.My employer pays for my school. well they (my employer) hadn't paid in months July 2013, We finally got that taken care of in April 2014 as paid. and In Tech Released my grades and gave me a $721 refund…..Yeah…only to find out June of 2015 that was a mistake. Now threatening me about payment for $1900 from an unpaid balance. BS. Long story short the asses are trying to mess my credit (sent to a collection agency) up off a mistake they CLEARLY made. Dropped into a Indiana Tech University a Norfolk Indiana for a woman’s wrestling camp. The campus is small but incredibly new beautiful and seems to have everything a big university would offer. It seems to be conveniently located on the west side of Norfork here in Indiana close to plenty of amenities. From what I’ve seen the staff and coaches here are top notch in first class very good at conveying information in a modern world atmosphere. This university competes in the NAIA division for sports and it does have several sports that I’m sure you can see from their website. The overall feel of this place is that it’s new it’s clean and it really is a gem. We specifically came here for wrestling camp and to check out the wrestling program which seems to be a new program yet growing fast and improving constantly. This school is the bomb dot com. One of the admissions officers, James, gave us a review of what they look for upcoming students, overview of the school, as well as costs. Yes, he answered any questions that we had. Hailey was out your guide for the campus tour and she was from VA just like us. She and my daughter connected during the tour and my daughter was able to ask her various questions during the tour as well as the other students. Be prepared to do a lot of walking on the campus tour, so dress comfortably and wear some comfortable shoes. We happened to tour on a day that the heat index was 121 degrees, but the campus kept us hydrated with cold, bottled water. Honestly, I thought I knew quite a bit about the school. Yet, I learned so much more. Don't count them out because they have a lot to offer for everyone. It's not too small and not too big. A great medium sized campus in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Don't forget to check out Hawk Hill. Most of all, remember that the Hawk never dies!!TheHawksTV

St. Joseph's University, unfortunately like many colleges around the world, is run by corporate types who care nothing about education and ethics. They continue to hire part-time professors who are low-paid and receive no benefits. There are no requirements for incoming 1st-year students, and professors are pressured to retain poor students so that the college doesn't lose their sky-high tuition. Incoming students are offered various government loans and financial assistance to get them in the door. This is the reason students carry terrible financial burden into adulthood–and the tuition costs just keep rising! The SJU administration does not support the professors, the students (unless they are exceptional basketball players), vigorous academic education, or the integrity one would expect from the Jesuits. This was my first onsite class with DeVry. I have had such a great experience with my senior project class here at Naperville. Being that it was my first time, I had to get an ID and receive a quick orientation. The onsite staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. In this session, our class was granted the permission to occasionally use the Addison campus for access to the tech playground for our presentations. Our innovative teacher, Professor Rucks, encouraged us to explore and utilize the facility to aid in our course work. When I needed academic advice and assistance, Mr. Dufresne, Assistant Dean of Academic Excellence, made himself immediately available and went out of his way to make sure my needs were met. I have really enjoyed my time here!Susannah Smith

Professor Nichelle Manuel made Database Essentials for Business w/ Lab worth every hour taking this class valuable. Her instruction during the lectures made everything that i read just *Click* every week. Her patience with the class really came through when a classmate needed help to clarify a task in our Lab. She made the class easy to understand and learning a new program very valuable. this class has helped me in my career by helping me improve on my relationships at my current employer by knowing how the program taught is the same one used at my place of employment. My school experience at Keller has been great from the start and I can honestly say it has been mainly due to the awesome faculty and professors. My last class Applied Managerial Statistics (Math534) just ended and it was again evident that because of professors like Dr. Al, who has the patience to teach and listen to students needs, that I was able to learn a lot more that I thought I would. Bethany Lutheran Church, worshipping virtually (Zoom), physically distancing, but keeping our ties is now conducting the Sunday at 10 am Worship Services from the beautiful Gundale Chapel on Augsburg Campus. At this time limited to only worship leaders on site we are looking forward to when we can safely gather in person. Augsburg University and especially Leif Anderson has been wonderful to work with as Bethany moves out into the community and into a public church in passing on its physical building to Augsburg. Augsburg's support of spiritual and faith growth of its students and community within different religions is a joy to see and Bethany is glad to be a part of that.Lorraine Wookey

The cafeteria is subpar, not only in food quality, but in sanitary means. There is low variety and Augsburg encourages food waste by requiring that students' meals fit certain criteria, because they are paid to do so. As for cleanliness, the floors are sticky, and it is common to find a crushed banana or two on the floor. The tables and floors are not cleaned regularly, if at all, resulting in an unhealthy eating environment, full of bacteria. Not to mention, this school encourages unhealthful habits such as food waste and cleaning habits. This cafeteria should not remain in service.Ansel Erol (Sir. Anselot)

My mother, sister, and I are all proud alumnus of Augsburg (Class of 97', 08' & '16). The professors are great – they are always willing to help a student. Every year, at the beginning of the Fall Semester, students go out and volunteer around the community. They invite well-known speakers (i.e. Bill Nye, Steve Wozniak, and Jimmy Carter) to campus; both the public and students are invited to attend. They are open to all regions, not just Lutherans. I would recommend this school to anyone, but consider going to Community College then transferring, it helps with the cost.Tiffiney Biorn

I can't say anything about the school's academic program, because I only attended for a very short period of time, but their admissions and financial staff are the least trust-worthy bunch I've ever dealt with in an institutional setting. The first time I visited the school, it was for an informational tour where I met up with the admissions office's assistant dean. He asked to see my transcript and resume, and immediately offered me admissions on the spot. Both my boyfriend (who accompanied me) and I were shocked. I was a very good student, and have gotten full scholarship offers before, but have never had a college that accepted me before I even filled out an application. While I was still trying to take everything in, the assistant dean of admissions went to talk to someone and then came back and offered me a scholarship package that would have covered most, if not all, of my tuition. He also gave me an admissions paperwork and urged me to fill it out before leaving. I was still pretty much undecided, but in the end decided to take him up on the offer due to influences from family and friends. Lo and behold, shortly after classes have started, I found out that the scholarship they actually assigned to me was minimal because they said I had missed the deadline for the scholarship for which I was promised. Thus, requiring me to obtain a loan to pay for the bulk of my tuition. I went to speak to the assistant dean of admissions who had promised me the larger scholarship, because I didn't understand why I "missed the deadline" when I had filled out all the paperwork he said was needed for admissions, financial aid and scholarships the same day of the tour (including FAFSA and all other forms he gave me that day). Aside from apologizing and telling me he didn't know what happened, he couldn't do anything to help me get that scholarship he had promised. I told him I couldn't afford that much loan and, in the end, he advised me to back-date and submit a withdrawal form so that the tuition would be zeroed-out (since I was only 2 days past the refund deadline). He assured me that the backdating would take care of my tuition and I wouldn't have to be responsible for it. Once again, I listened to him. Of course, things once again didn't turn out as he had said. After I've withdrawn, I got a call from the financial office to meet with a financial personnel, who told me that the tuition could not be written off because the withdrawal form could not be back-dated, even if it's approved or advised by the admissions assistant dean. I explained to her my situation and how I had enrolled due to a promise of scholarship, and that I had to withdraw because I couldn't afford the tuition due to the scholarship didn't come through for reasons that were not my fault. She called the assistant dean and he confirmed everything that I've said, yet she still denied the tuition forgiveness just because it was 2 days past the official refund period – this in spite of the fact that everything that has led up to my withdrawal was due to misinformation given to me by their administration. There was no compassion. It's all about money. During the entire meeting with her, I did not cry, but tears were streaming down my face. When I walked out of her office, fleeting thoughts of jumping down the second-story railings crossed my mind over and over again. I wanted to use my death to protest and to voice the incredible anguish that the University had pushed upon me. Thankfully, I quickly remembered each time that I still had a very sick mother waiting for my care. Whether the assistant dean had the best intentions in mind, I do not know. All I know was that if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have enrolled in that school, and I wouldn't have withdrawn (if I was going to have to pay for the tuition anyways, then I might as well stay to earn the credits). I was young, I was naive. It was shameful of the school to mislead and then refused to take any responsibility – putting all the burdens on a young person with a mentally-ill single mother.W T

This is the 1st college of pharmacy in the USA. However, Usciences market themselves as being the best college of pharmacy in the USA, although the rankings says otherwise. They are not the best AT ALL. During a tour years ago with my son, the school claimed that they are better than Drexel and Upenn (ivy league). They said their equipment was more advanced , their education is better, research opportunities, etc.. Who are educating the tour guides?? Usciences offer limited majors. Only in a few sciences. What about the other sciences? Technology, mathematics, engineering, etc? The school is misleading and I wouldn't recommend this school. They want to be something they are not. If they don't offer more majors soon, they will shutdown. I also agree with some of the other comments. The staff talks a lot of politics.. Also, a lot of Philadelphians or people living in the surrounding area never heard of the school. This is probably due to the limited majors.Thomas B. Smith

University of the Sciences is an amazing school for anyone looking to pursue a degree in the field of health care, or the general sciences. From my own experience as a student here, we began working together as a health care team and learning about our future professions from day one. As a physical therapy major, all of my undergraduate classes included topics and lectures with application to the field of physical therapy and have prepared me well to begin the graduate phase of the program! If you're looking to pursue an career in the health field, Usciences should be on your list!Curtis Librizzi

Straight As but with horrible problems. The issues started before I even transferred to the CDL program. When I was a general student my adviser (at that time) told me that Independent studies were only available on site; not true. When I asked her why I couldn't take all my classes online, as advertised, she said that there was no fully online option; not true. I transferred to CDL because the woman at the FRONT DESK apparently knew more than my adviser. But once in CDL, I realized I was essentially on my own, and under the thumb of a lot of incompetent people. CDL is extremely unorganized and separate from the rest of the school. You have to be under an adviser to do anything, and if they're incompetent it can totally derail getting a degree plan approved. The process ruined my ambition for school for a whole year and a half afterward. School is my escape, and I lost that. When I read the guidelines/requirements for the degree plan, I knew exactly what needed to be done. When I asked for clarification my adviser mislead me on every aspect of the process. I wrote (1) 70 page plan, (1) 50 page plan, then (1) 32 page plan– NONE of which were even read. The ONLY PERSON responsible for putting committees together for approving plans was the rudest person I have ever spoken to via email. He also could not effectively explain why my degree titles were not appropriate until the final plan. This process made me insane because I knew what was necessary in the first place– a basic, straight forward, 5-7 page plan….something cohesive and to the point. I literally had to educate them on what "Interdisciplinary" even meant. Everyone kept forcing "Multidisciplinary" studies on me– which is something different. I'm still surprised at how many problems I had to deal with. They wanted to impose on me what they knew how to do…. They're not used to students actually wanting to be scholars. My original plan was degraded by my adviser (and changed without consent!! What she changed were vital points, and she even submitted it with errors). She told me incorrect information, which made me feel defeated, and she suggested irrelevant things. By the end I felt extremely manipulated. After almost 2 years she finally admitted that she didn't know what she was doing and reached out to other advisers experienced in "Interdisciplinary Studies." But by that point I had already talked to 7 people for help, which went no where. I had already spent 2 years trying to get out from under her ignorance– My morale was already ruined. But the advisers she reached out to were supportive of my plans. They were excited about them– too bad my adviser refused to share their names!!! Extremely frustrating system, very bad organizational issues. Financial aid also "forgot" to submit my application for scholarships when I was nominated– Financial aid also told me that someone denominated me. They said that they were looking at a letter stating that they did not recommend me– then upon closer inspection, financial aid said that there was never a letter, they had no idea who said it, and that it's not even possible. Furthermore, teachers cannot nominate you! Only your adviser can nominate. This to me is ridiculous, as my professors actually see/read my work. While, I've received honors scholarships since then, it's still frustrating that no one knows what they're even doing. By the time I got to the SINGLE PERSON who could help me the damage had already been done, and I had already dealt with it all by myself, and never got the degree title I even wanted– which would have been acceptable per FAFSA/Federal regulations. The teachers however are fantastic and the literature from the courses I've taken have taken root in my heart. I absolutely adore the pieces of literature relevant to course material in my field (Cultural Studies: Philosophy, History, Literature), and independent studies are awesome. That's the only reason I can still recommend this school. I have also met 2 other students who have had asinine issues like my own, some worse.Stephanie Michelle (JOY)

This review is based on my experience of one online class this college provided, which I was able to transfer credits from. The online class I took was principles of finance (BME), cost me about $1300. My professor was J. Visconti. I had to retake this course b/c i failed it at my main university. I learn more retaking this course than I did my first try. Several reasons: I had a Great professor. We used excel (better tool and relevant) instead of a old school financial calculator. Instructor's commentary of the lessons were impeccably relevant and sound) I was able to further understand the connections between real world usage of the learned knowledge. In my case, YES, online version of this course is much better than class room style. Since, I have taken both styles of classes, I would recommend taking "principles of finance" online, preferably with J. Visconti. If business is not your major, i would still recommend this class for personal knowledge. For me, this class was required as an elective for my major and I am glad I took it online.Richard Lim

Overall if you’re an adult with limited time this is the college for you. There are better colleges out there but this isn’t the worst either. It is an accredited Suny school which I think holds more value over some of these diploma mills. The college isn’t supportive and the mentors from my experience do absolutely nothing. In their defense though it can be quite hard because they are full-time professors as well. The problem is that they require a mentor to hold a doctorate degree which is absolutely ridiculous. You don’t need one to help students plan their degrees. There are many professional and outstanding people who work here and there are many that are the opposite.Kelly Shaw-Hewes
