Nestled just northeast of downtown Winston-Salem, best campus has tons of greenery, open fields and green space to lounge or play sports, has a nature trail with access to Reynolda Village with shops and eateries, and a supreme education as well. As a non-traditional student, I found EOU big enough to offer all the classes I needed to complete an Ant/Soc degree, but intimate enough that professors knew me by name and gave me extra assistance with completing my educational goals. I WAS A PERSON AND NOT JUST A STUDENT ID NUMBER. The campus is safe – I had no concerns walking at night, it has plenty of lighted walkways, and parking lots. I attended EOU for three years and really appreciate the school. It's quality professors (most were great with only a few exceptions), small class sizes, and affordable tuition make it one of the best bang for your buck colleges in the country. I saw The Messiah here on Sunday. Campus is unbelievable and it was wonderful to feel God's presence on a school campus again. The entire production was amazing and I could not have enjoyed it more. It's very worth finding out more about the story of how it was written first, so when you watch it live you'll have a deeper appreciation. A whole lot has changed since I was attending here. The name of the mascot has changed. Also this was called Point Loma Nazarene College. Speaking of changes, one thing that hopefully hasn't changed is the cafeteria food, most college cafeteria food SUCKS…NOT HERE…the food is/was catered by Marriot. When I was trying to decide what college to attend during my senior year of high school, Thiel was the one that made me feel the most supported. Thiel College is such a wonderful D3 school for athletics and it's a great college because it's small and you get to know everyone on campus, especially the professors, coaches, and staff which is most important. It is just a short distance to the surrounding buildings on campus. It's a beautiful get-away to the country side. Thiel College just added a PA program and an MBA program, which are both great routes to go through, just in a couple of years. Division three sports are fun to get involved in because there's not too much pressure on you as an athlete while staying caught up with academics. Everyone at Thiel are all nice and supportive of one another, 10/10 would recommend!Mei Williams

You get to know everybody like family. Everybody cares about you on the college faculty. The staff members are all great, too. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because I don't feel like students really "belong" in Greenville outside of campus. It seems like there's an us versus them vibe. I hope this changes because college students have a lot of good ideas and energy. In a town that hasn't grown in a while, they can use good ideas from fresh minds. Don't ever go to this college. I was 19 in 1986 and they were supposed to give me my diploma. In high school I only had 2 credits to go. I was in the high school program. The school forced me to take out a lone at the end of the term, which I didn't get the money a state carectional drug cancellor got the money. Then I was told I was too stooped to continue college, So they kicked me out. I had 24 credits that I can never use and no diploma I had to get my GED when I was 30. Everything this college did to me was illegal and Everything the people who have tryed to callect the money has been illegally done a lot of them told me over the phone how the way everythig happened was illegal. The lone was 1,400.00 now it is 10,000.00. I have paid the 1,400.00 back many times they even took my boyfriends taxes when we first got together. I have proff but they keep equnoring it. Even the people who work for the collection agency's have told me what to write and send to get the issue fixed and they have no problem ruining a life. The school and the collection agaseys have broken the law and. I'm going to have to send all my evadence to Grege Walden and pray he will halp me. If you people were smart don't go to this college don't believe a word they say. It ruined my life. The college and bank both forged my name to different papers and the school broke a lot of laws. I was never to take out a lone legally. I didn't have no diploma, no GED, They issued the loan at the end of the term which I here was illegal as well. For the most part I enjoyed my time at the school. Beautiful campus and amazing instructors. The problem I have is with the Financial Aid and other support staff. I once watched them belittle a 4.0 student for attending school. They are completely disorganized and will lose paper work, and then charge you late fees when they fail to properly apply grants and aid. They are very rude to students who ask for help even going as far as tell students that the should drop-out. All-in-all if you are paying out of pocket and have several thousand a year to burn, its a great college. If you are use any sort of aid, be prepared for a nightmare and disrespect. All-in-all, I do not regret my choice of attending the school. The time I spend here was well worth the headache the Financial Aid put me through.Michael Isabelle

This place is not really a collage. You spend your money on a collage course and yet they play mind games and ditch you before you arrive on time to your class, You only waste your time playing their mind games and yet you find yourself abandoned after a few weeks realizing you have been cheated out of everything you worked for and your text books are really a sick joke with a lot missing pages ripped out and the book falling a part, and you find yourself heading to the local homeless shelter when no body is qualified for housing nor student aid. My son attends Morehouse! Their freshman class made history Fall 2016. This was his first time leaving home. Well into the first semester, he made his first visit home, I was astonished at what I observed for those two days. He had matured mentally, spoke with clarity and confidence, more importantly he carefully listened to what was being said, evaluated what he needed to say before blurring it out as he did prior to attending Morehouse College and spoke humbly with an improved vocabulary. I had to stare at him a few times to see if he was the same young man that just left three months ago… Although, the change may have not been huge, it was significant enough to be noticeable by our family, neighbors and his friends. I cried happy tears before going to bed that night and I thank God for guiding him to this school. His change is real, his struggles are in the past and his success is his future transition from a "Man of Morehouse" to a "Morehouse Man!" This institution is only living off the names of the world renowned gentleman that are alumni.Because of an incompetent administration team,I only spent 15 days at that school due to financial issues which I was not at fault.It is ironic to witness the urgency they displayed in removing me from my registered classes,however the same urgency was not made to find my FAFSA information in a timely manner that was carelessly misplaced in some soft copy files.This school is a joke,and should be grateful of the outstanding names associated with it. Marietta College exists for its students. This small college is not run for its own financial benefit. The college works to make well-rounded individuals that are ready to leave their mark. The faculty and professors hold you to a high standard to prepare you. Student life is constantly changing to try to meet the needs of students and always have your best interest in mind. The campus police are the nicest people you will ever meet. When you get to the college you will either be so involved you need more time or you won’t be involved in anything. The college works its hardest to bridge the gap. No one who works hard and asks for help fails at this college. There is a lot of pride in being a part of the “Long Blue Line.”Jim

My son toured the campus and fell in love with it! We had toured a couple other schools, that I thought couldn't be beaten, but he found his college!! He was accepted and sent in his registration payment!! He's going to be playing football for the college (OLB) and found a major he never considered which will be a perfect fit for him (sports management)! He received a great scholarship package and was on par with all the other colleges he had looked at and applied for FASFA (68% paid for through scholarships/grants). It’s a racket. You pay way too much for a subpar education. There are more reasonably priced private colleges, with better programs, up the road. Do your research before attending this college. First off, it is an institute of technology, not a university. NASA applications say "Technology institute graduates need not apply." NASA isn't alone in this. I had 5 different advisors by the end of my 1st month. No one could be bothered. My final advisor was the department chair, and when he "helped" me sign up for 3 classes, 1 was class was held in Washington, and another class wasn't even scheduled for that term, so I was left with one class that term. The next term, like the term before, I needed a unique password to register for classes. Only problem was the only person who could give me the password, my advisor, was on vacation. I had to talk with his superiors to get him to reply to my email for the password. When he replied, he had an attitude. This kind of think happened in so many different ways, I just washed my hands of this school. It took them 3 terms just to get me my student ID card. Anytime I had a academic, not scholastic, question, it usually takes about 2 hours of being bounced around from building to building, often the same buildings, having to talk to the same people, because no one can be bothered. Eventually after the 3rd time of me coming back to someone to ask the same question, I'll get a big sigh and finally an answer.Tim DuDD

OIT is a great school of Engineering. Pros 1- Average students in the class between 10 to 25, so that is very good to ask and participate as well as most of the professors can easily recognize each student. 2- Reasonable professors. 3- OIT located in Klamath City which is small and cheap town. 4- Easy to get high grade if you do all your HW, NO absent , more participation. 5 – Library stuff is very helpful. 6- Safe and good place to study in. 7- US News classified Oregon Tech as one of the best five universities. Cons: 1- Library hours are very terrible. 2- Klamath City is not active city, after 7 pm every one dies. 3- There is nothing to do if you have free time except outdoor activities. 4- Heath Center is really wasteful.Mohammed Asiri

I've worked at four public universities across the country, and Oregon Tech has the most engaged and dedicated faculty and staff I've ever encountered. Students benefit from small class sizes and many opportunities for hands-on applied learning. Students I assist in Career Services are focused, dedicated and mature. The administration is proud of being career-focused but also recognizes the benefits of teaching soft skills. Oregon Tech is also increasing its emphasis on providing students with experiences that will translate to exceptional workplace skills, like working on cross functional student team projects. IC is composed of an amazing group of kids, many of whom have diverse interests. There's opportunities to learn new skills, from forestry to billiards to religion to music to dance. The town is made up of a smorgasbord of people who love conversation and will show you new parts of the world. There is no shortage of opportunity here and if you apply yourself and find what is right for you, there is a home at IC for you. While I enjoyed my time at IC, I can admit it was a challenge for me to find my footing here. Ithaca College is a great place for upper-middle white class folks in athletics. It's also great for the sociable types. But for true academics it can often fall short of being challenging or engaging. The teachers are fantastic, but the coursework is bland. There are a lot of preppy people, very fake people, but mostly just a population of people still trying to find themselves, which is normal. It can often be hard to find the right friends. But the community is huge, and you will find them if you try. The politics at IC (not the coursework but the administration) is rocky at best and getting rockier. IC needs to figure out their priorities and give the students (who put themselves into massive debt to attend this college) a good governing body who take pay cuts to give scholarships and better food and healthcare options. Also, on politics: Not only is the Ithacan so far left they nearly circle around back to right, but the entire political atmosphere is made up of so many people with so little real-world applicaple knowledge that it definitely put a weird taste in my mouth. White feminism is rampant. Otherwise it's a great school for communications, music, environmental studies, outdoor education, and business. If you want a liberal arts degree I would recommend another school. Utilize office hours. The teachers are amazing and filled with knowledge. Talk in class. Have discussions. Go off campus. Jump into a gorge. Stay for a summer! Have fun!Sarah Bear

A beautiful campus…that's about it. Don't look for friendly as you will only find phony. Got a great welcoming letter from Park School but when my son needed help, "Oh, we don't do that." Then called again, woman who sent welcoming letter with her home phone, cell phone and office phone provided on business card attached to the letter is no longer at the school. Son had no advisor, as advisor left school. No life line at this school. My son found school to be an elitist, obnoxious place. We wish he had never heard of Ithaca. Accommodations and view was amazing, BUT it would have been better if there was not so many stairs to get to and back from places. Misericordia University is not only strikingly beautiful but offers an exceptional education for every student. The faculty and staff at Misericordia are very encouraging and motivate every student to meet their dreams academically and socially. I have attended Misericordia for 4 years and am working toward my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. The Physical Therapy program is a 6.5 year guaranteed program, the first 3.5 years earning a bachelor’s degree and the next 3 years at the graduate level for physical therapy. This program has been accredited for a number of years and has a very high passing rate on the board exam. Throughout my 4 years at Misericordia, I have nothing but positive remarks. Misericordia has taught me how to be both successful and independent. I lived on campus for all 4 years at Misericordia, 2 years working as a Resident Assistant and two years with fellow students. Although it was fun to live with some of my friends, living by myself as an RA was definitely a huge perk. From being an RA, I was able to witness students who got involved in the Misericordia community and students who chose to mind to themselves. With that experience I can only give advice that getting involved and putting yourself out there is vital, not only at Misericordia but throughout life. You can’t just let life walk by you, you need to put on your shoes and run towards your dreams (and if something is for free, you really have nothing to lose). Misericordia offers a huge variety of ways to get involved from campus ministry, athletics, theater, and various clubs, there is most definitely something that peaks everyone’s interest. I have met so many amazing people and have made friendships that will last a lifetime from Misericordia. Through getting involved as an RA, and being involved in clubs such as business professional association, health care management association, and H.O.P.E (Healthy Options Peer Educators), I have been able to learn new information, make friends, and have fun. There is a wonderful program at Misericordia called the Guaranteed Placement Program (GPP) where every year of their education students learn viable and helpful tips such as how to properly handle a job interview or how to build your resume. At the end of the student’s time at Misericordia, the GPP program guarantees that you will graduate with a payed internship or job 6 months after graduation. Therefore, there is no fear that you will earn a degree and not have a job after loaning so much money. I am proud to be a student at Misericordia University. As a student from out of state (born and raised in Arizona), attending Misericordia University has been a very unique experience for me. The location has been comfortable, coming from a small town, so the location has not been overwhelmingly populated while still being close enough to other cities and shopping locations. MU also assisted in my decision to switch majors, and have been a Mass Communications student with a Philosophy minor since my sophomore year. Students with interests in the arts and and humanities, like myself, often feel as if they are not taken as seriously as other majors, such as health sciences. However, I feel that MU’s liberal arts approach embraces all student interests, including encouraging creativity while also helping students get to know the “real world” and how to approach the world from a realistic and economic perspective. Getting involved at MU has also been fairly easy and a welcome experience for me. The Mass Communications department is tight-knit but is welcoming of all students, and has job, classes, or club opportunities for students in and outside of the major. The arts are also embraced by the campus radio station (Cougar Radio), the Highlander newspaper, etc. I’ve participated in multiple groups and events on campus, and have found student employment on campus, along with researching, preparing for, and currently executing internships during my college career. I’m a firm believer that college is what you make it, and MU has helped me embrace all these passions that I’ve always had and has helped me move forward with the things that matter most to me.Destiny

Misericordia University has been my home away from home. I never second guess my choice of coming to school here. The occupational therapy program is one like no other. I take pride in my hard work and the teachers in my program and other faculty on staff are friendly, generous, and want to see every student succeed! Misericordia takes pride in its service and hospitality and these qualities can be found in each student here. Writing a review for UNMC is an emotional task for me because they have been there for my mom and family through life, sickness, recovery, health, and even death. In all they've been there for they did right, without judgement or bias, and with care, hope, and support. I live in Kansas, but I know this hospital and all the towers better than some streets near my home. I've interacted with many specialty doctors, nurses, techs, housekeeping staff, ER, security team members, and so many others. We've experienced teams in Kidney Transplant, Wound Care, Cardiovascular, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Derm, Cancer Center, and the Comfort Care Team. I can tell you that these teams are here because they love what they do. If you're considering UNMC as a new place to care for your needs I would do so without hesitation. When my mom moved they were so helpful in her transition to Kansas. Without them we'd be lost. We will miss each of her teams, their knowledge, and their care. It was so hard to leave.Tam E

Very disappointed in care provided. Nursing seems sorely under staffed. Although they frequently have cell phone in hand. Communication between staff (doctors and nursing staff)is lacking. Communication of providers and patients is insufficient. Facility is dirty dusty and run down. And should we talk about HIPPA….nothing to talk about….it doesn't exist there. Hep locks do not get flushed even after several days….negligent much? Showers/bed baths not offered to patient even after 3 days in-house. Are they trying for some nosocomial infections?S B

Today I went to Nebraska medical center and the eye clinic. The people that are very friendly and nice it's clean has three levels. The doctor I seen seem very knowledgeable and was very concerned with my eye condition it was funny when we first pulled up and parked in the first row there was a broom next to the handicap sign made me laugh remind me of handicap which parking. Someone probably had clean snow off their car with the broom and left it there.Karen Beautiful

I went to the campus that is located in Beaverton and they are a building off site of the campus but have a Transit center right directly across from the campus making it very convenient for anyone that would like to take that versus driving and paying parking however the parking was free for me that day the campus grounds are very clean and I felt safe by the security and overall feel. there was not a lot of people at all as they are being very very careful with restrictions on covid. I attended a class for testing on the GED and they were very careful to not expose or compromise anyone's health so be prepared and warned now to be current on their covid restrictions and policiesHeather Chick Hawes

It was such a beautiful day I had gone to Sheridan's Market. Which, I have to say, is one of the best places I've found in Portland since moving here 8 years ago. I decided to go and sit under the trees in the Park blocks. I read the first chapter of "The Body Keeps the Score" with the work book. If you know someone or you yourself suffer from PTSD. It is an amazing read and helps so much. Dogs were roaming though the park with their owners. Runners everywhere. Just overall an amazing day.Bradley Renfeldt-King

Graduated from here. If you’re looking to be competitive, def would not recommend the psych BS/BA program unless you’re ready to find off-campus opportunities. The instructors are variable, with limited on-campus opportunities compares to places like OSU/UO/WSU/UW. However, if you’re looking to transfer and complete your coursework and get your degree, this option is fine.Michael Demi

We just did a visit and we are very disappointed! Our daughter would have been a transfer student and she spent a lot of time & energy reaching out to Fort Lewis and talking with them. She was accepted & she has phenomenal grades! When we got there & she met Kayla, Kayla didn’t even remember her. The tour was very informal, with a huge group (we had toured many colleges), they showed us their worst dorms, they took us in 1 classroom, and mostly ran us through the tour. They didn’t even offer lunch (which is very important). My daughter had put down that she wanted to meet with some professors and financial aid and at the end of the tour Kayla just told everyone, “Okay, thank you for coming”! Our daughter told her she had meetings with financial aid & to meet with some professors… Kayla & Shelby had no idea what she was talking about! Shelby gave her the name, number & an email of a professor instead of having that professor reach out to our daughter. Obviously they aren’t in need of students! They just pushed their beautiful campus & all of the outdoor activities they offer, instead of their academics! So if all you want is a school with a lot of fun things to do & in a tourist town this is for you!Debi Laib

The facilities are poor and the dorms are even worse. The technology at FLC is terrible, the computers rarely work, and good luck finding good WiFi. The professors are really nice though, but the some of the students didn't seem to care much about their education. The professors really try to help their students succeed though. Oh, they also lied about having my major 2 months into my education there. They told me they no longer offered my major, despite the fact that when I registered for classes, my advisor told me everything about my major there. Never said a thing about it no longer being offered there. Luckily I got my money back and went to a way better school. So, please do yourself a favor and do NOT apply here. A lot of my friends had the same thing happen to them on this campus. I am a lot happier and am doing great at my current university with a 4.0, a university which, by the way, has my major and has not lied to my face once in the 3.5 years I have attended.Kassidy Dunnigan

I graduated in 2011 and Fort Lewis was amazing. I studied geology (but most of my roommates and friends studied business). The professors were exceptional. They loved their respective field, gave relentless effort and tolerated immature undergrads with grace and enthusiasm. Durango is a super safe and fun mountain town. I was able to intern in my field at several places within the region and select a career path that suited my interests. We took loads of field trips all over the southwest. I considered D'Youville College for my Post 9/11 GI Bill graduate program. I ultimately picked another school which offered the degree I was interested in. By happenstance I spent my last semester of my studies at D'Youville. Wow, what a difference. While other schools pay lip service to Veterans, D'Youville is putting their money where their mouth is. At other schools, despite what they say, Vets are simply another number, a commodity they are anxious to attract for the easy money, but once enrolled, these Vets are quickly forgotten. A single staff member will be assigned Vets as a collateral duty, one of many hats they wear. D'Youville on the other hand has a staff of dedicated personnel whose sole job is to take care of Vets. Instead of being referred elsewhere, D'Youville gets resolution to any and all issues that their Vets encounter. They know how to successfully navigate the Veteran's Administration, as well as New York State benefits (e.g. Veterans Tuition Awards). Not only do they educate **ALLL** Vets (not simply limited the Gold Ribbon qualified Vets), but they also offer generous incentives for Vets' spouses and dependents. D'Youville offers more and more new degrees and programs every year. If you are not seriously looking at D'Youville for you education, you are wrong.Jerry Tidd

I been working in a community health program with the School of Nursing and Pharmarcy. My interaction wtih both students and professors has been excellent, and have surpass my expectations in wiliness to serve the community. About the D'Youville social life, this is a small college and their social life is during lunch time in Spot Coffee, which is located in the basement. In short, the DYC is good for those who want to focus in their studies and have theirs social life somewhere else because you will not find crazy frat parties in here.alice campbell

College offers a great PA program, but beware that contacting the admission office and tracking different components of your application is painstakingly uncoordinated. Personally had to remind and contact multiple admission counselors about my application and still had a hard time getting them to contact me back regarding genuine questions with ambiguity of the application.Sougandhika Bharadwaj

My husband & I graduated from what was then Bethel College & Seminary in 1968. My years there are among the best of my life! We were privileged to sing with the College Choir – the best of the best of my lifetime experiences. I most highly recommend Bethel to anyone trying to select the best college to attend. I especially recommend it to music majors as their music program is outstanding! Bethel is a Christian University with a student body consisting primarily of dedicated Christian young people. As with any Christian school, there are a few students who are sent there by their parents with the hope that the school will straighten them out. Fortunately, these students are few and far between! I received my BA and my MA from Bethel and can say without a doubt that this University set an amazing trajectory for me in having a successful career. Beyond that, my faith was challenged and deepened. I've continued to build on 20+ years of incredible friendships that began at Bethel. I remember walking through the halls of Bethel University saying “I could live here”. Beautiful scenery, great food! Oh! The food!, quality of education is 🌎 class, they take sports seriously 🙌🏽, hostels are homely and the environment is clean. The teachers are great and the campus is nice but trying to get financial aid during COVID is impossible. The financial aid advisors are rude and don’t seem like they want to help you at all. Just because of this reason I will not be recommending MHCC to any of my friends and would suggest to go to Clackamas Community College where they are much, MUCH more helpful.Dima Poperechnyy

You have to take the bad with the good. There are some great people who work for this school, then there are people who could care less bout you and your education. They make you jump through hoops and pass you around with little to no help. This has been my experience so far, passes around to at least 3 advisers in one month with little to no contact.Tia Intoku

AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF A SCIENCE MAJOR!!!!!! Poorest Chem department I've ever experienced. The chemistry teachers (in my experience) are just bad teachers. They don't have the experience to teach in some cases or are just unorganized in their lectures. They can tout #1 Biology Program in the Country (for Christian schools) but Chemistry is bloody important too. Every science major needs Chemistry. So, what's a good biology program really got to do with it if Chemistry teachers are flippantly FAILING students without any analysis of their own teaching. Why are the chem labs impossible? I graduated from Lipscomb in 2011 and loved my time there. The university has an active campus life and dedicated staff and student leadership. I really enjoyed living on campus, my Bible classes, attending concerts and campus life events, and going to basketball games. I majored in organizational communication with a minor in marketing, and I have been working in digital marketing since 2013. I still visit Lipscomb's campus and enjoy seeing how it's changed. Lipscomb may not be for everyone, but I encourage prospective students to schedule a campus visit and take a tour.Brandon Caples

Attended Lipscomb for my graduate degree after receiving my bachelors from a large public university. It was a great decision. Knowledgeable, personable professors. Loved the community among students. As a research institution that hosts national events, award shows, and keynote speakers, it is definitely well respected and constantly growing.
