I love and loved South Coast College. The best thing about it was its staff. From its court reporting instructors to its paralegal program, everything is taught and intended to provide the student with the best opportunity to leave its halls with knowledge superlative to that of students from anywhere else. What are your chances of obtaining a position in the legal office as a court reporter, paralegal or legal assistant? That is probably what I should have asked myself prior to obtaining a "less-than-godly" student loan! I graduated mentally prepared – but financially not quite ready to work at the rate at which most legal firms hire those fresh out of school! Although I work in a field completely unrelated to that in which I was trained (I graduated from the paralegal program and am one of two people now running a surgical company.) At this time, the courts in Los Angeles and Orange County are hiring court reporters, while deposition agencies like Hahn and Bowersock, Regal Court Reporting, Barkley have all been hiring — keeping graduates busily engaged. I've been involved in the occupation for nearly 25 years. Yes, it has been challenged by electronic recording, but that comes and goes. Its what people make of their own choices in life. Today I am seeing this as a great opportunity for anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit who is willing to jump in and take advantage of the varied paths the skill of court reporting can provide including court and deposition reporting, as well as CART (steno-interpreting for the hearing-impaired) and captioning live television. I chose this school because it is one of the very few accredited court reporting programs in Southern California. If you look at the list of new CSRs put out after each test, South Coast ALWAYS produces the most graduates. I came to South Coast straight out of high school, barely an adult. I left at age 21 as a working professional, making more money than any of my peers who attended a four-year college. Once I entered the workforce, agencies immediately took more interest in me after seeing South Coast College on my resume. I am currently in the vet tech program( just finished term 1 and starting term 2) here are a few things I wish I knew about the program before I started. UPDATE!!! STRONGLY suggest getting your generals done else where!!! Almost done with term 2 and Looking back, the program would be soo much easier if you were just taking the vet core classes. Seriously.. if you are really thinking about going here fresh out of high school and think you are going to be fine with the work load you are in for a rude awakening.. just please take my advice and get your generals done somewhere else. You will actually enjoy your time here if you are just taking the vet core classes because the vet related classes and the generals work load at the same time is extremely stressful because again you will be taking roughly 20 credit hours( that’s general classes and vet core classes) AND the material is very rushed. -curriculum is extremely rushed -instructors are a hit or miss (3/5 instructors were really great and knew what they were talking about and we’re able to explain really well, other 2 did not know the material and did not know how to effectively teach/explain/ or answers any questions about the material they were teaching. Pretty much had to self teach in both classes) -the parking situation is a hot mess. Parking on campus is extremely limited and the street parking is a joke. -The remediation assignments (Student services assigns you an extra assignment on top of your homework in whatever class for being 15+ minutes late or missing the class or leaving 15+ minutes early ie. Handwritten 100 bullet points on the slides of the power point you missed. The instructor then has to sign off on it and you turn it into student services no later than 1 week of the absence/tardy) is extremely unnecessary and just adds more stress. -But all in all still a better program than any of the other schools I was looking into before I started the program. I’m still loving what I am learning about and the hands on labs are amazing. My classmates and I are extremely close and working together and helping each other study is a must to succeed in every class. If you do find yourself struggling there are so many resources the school provides to help you ie. free tutoring from a peer tutor, tutoring from your instructors per request via emailing them. Scheduling an appointment with the Student success coordinator (helps you plan your study schedule and helps with testing stragies). Just know this is a tough program because it’s rushed and you WILL be taking anywhere from 12-20 credits hours. ( this is decided based on if you have transfer credits from other colleges ie. math 1010, Biology1010, college writing, etc. I was taking 20 credit hours. I did not choose this, your schedule will be chosen for you by the school) and you will be eating, living and breathing veterinary medicine for the next 2 years. ( also I want to add that it is STRONGLY recommended that you DONT have a job. At least in 1st term. In orientation they go more in-depth about this. A lot of my classmates including myself quit our full/ part time jobs after 1 month in the program because it was too much) If this is something you think you can handle then it is definitely worth it!Kaitlyn Hart

This school has all the technology you could ever want, and provides a lot of support. I wish I could have afforded to go there. That’s the only downside, is the really high price. I should add, the price is high for a reason. They buy top of the line technology to teach their nurses and vet techs (those are the only things I’ve seen myself, and I am 100% sure they put the money into their other programs, too.) My current financial situation makes the school unaffordable, but the price is 100% worth it. I was going to make myself afford it until I was told about a deposit. I WAS shocked by the $400+ deposit they required during orientation (for the LVN program.) I wasn’t told about it except less than a week before orientation. There was really no iltime for me to prepare. My financial aid advisor, Vanessa, was AMAZING and tried everything to make the school more affordable. My academic advisor, Nikia, was the BEST. She really helped to make me feel comfortable and helped teach me more about the program.Jessica Laroche

The program I was in (vet tech) was great for the most part! However there was a lot of bumps in the 2 years and disorganization when I was there. Teachers were a hit or miss you could get a great one and would love that class, or you would get one you dreaded and never wanted to go to class. Being the first class to graduate from that program we didn't get all the amazing equipment that the students have now. This program over all is a great experience because when you are struggling or need help you can find teachers always doing tutor sessions or the LRC always is willing to help you learn things as well. they are doing the best they can to make sure things run smoothly from now on. I would recommend this course now because it seems like things will run smoother now that they learned from passed mistakes with my class.Allison Kunic

The administration is not interested in offering equal access to education for parents who are looking to get one. The college is not interested in reestablishing the on-campus child care center. Also the administration knew the science building chemistry hoods were not functioning properly for years and never let students know. The professors are incredible but if you are a mother good luck because the college doesn't care that in order to access education, women with children (those who require an education for a chance to improve their children's future!) need some equitable student services. Don't take my word for it scroll through the reviews. Most reviewers are male even though majority of students who attend the college are women. Read into it what you will but the facts remain that the college has a child care center on campus but refuse to renovate it even though property taxpayers agreed to pay for it (measure g 2004).Melissa Martinez

The college incorrectly listed me as a non-California resident. When I attempted to fix this, I found that I could not get in touch with ANYONE from the business offices. Eventually, they started having a debt collector call me because I wanted to sort out the residency issue so that I would not be charged nearly $1000 for my classes. This has been going on for months now, I attempt to call their offices almost every week and no one answers me. I'm beginning to suspect that they are just trying to force me to pay the non-resident fee so that they can get some extra cash. All in all, I have had a horrible experience with the administrative services, and if I could get on the line with anyone, I would have been happy to have paid the appropriate tuition months ago.Laura Israel

Overall, the colleges is good. However, other colleges are doing much better. $ stars for the efforts in trying to become better. Recently they have started to work on the new Gymnasium building. Teachers and professors are good but they are very diverse. The teaching style of all the teachers differ and they might not be ok with everyone. So choose your class wisely. Overall the crowd is good but sometimes you might find some not so friendly people. I am not sure about the safety. From my first experience there it is very overwhelming while it confusing to move through the campus and find were to go at first, once you visit continuously it becomes much easier. I attended their physical therapist program for a semester and a half (after being offered a fellowship). I have to say, it was one of the most disorganized things i've ever witnessed in my entire life and one of the worst experiences of my life. Luckily, i realized early enough to bail after paying only $40,000. No written policies/procedures for 3 months (they were running late), hard to access labs (you have to be friends with another student, its a "social thing" per administration. Problem is, i dont drink, i dont really like ping pong, and i dont want to date someone in the program, although there were several couples enrolled together in the program. Administration views this as "professional behavior".). There is so much bs, i couldn't possibly fit it all here. If wild conflict of interest is your thing, then this is the place for you. Chapman's mascot is a panther, perhaps their motto is "Chapman University – Where education is predatory."Craig Zach

As always, campus is lovely. I was very impressed by the fact that they maintained the beautiful landscaping and fountains even during the pandemic when they had no students there. Now the people are back, and it is autumn, they have once again shown a beautiful smaller campus…the potential. Lot of people trampling around on the campus and they are still keeping up the appearance. As far as the school is concerned I don't have all that much contact but they certainly seem to have a nice crop of students. The law school however is still suffering significantly, at least among those of us in the field, from their association with John Eastman, he of the Trump insurrection fame. I don't know how that will pan out for them. Still…. Worth a wander amount the grounds & the fountains with a coffee.James F. Haas

The campus is calm and lovely with a colorful taste of student life. The long standing history of the school provides a global perspective for all students. The support staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is nice and clean. There are reasonable varieties of selections in cafeteria for all meals. Overall, I had a great experience attending a three-day conference on campus hosted by the NCACLS and SCCCS on campus.Bianca Chang

Southern California University of Health Sciences is a sham and the employees there are bullies! Don't waste your time, and more importantly your money applying or attending. I applied to both their DC and PA programs and was first accepted into their DC program. After my acceptance, I kept receiving admissions emails regarding my "admission to their PA program." When I called the school to report the irregularity, I was told by Ms Elizabeth Cruz the email had been sent in error. Strangely, Ms Elizabeth Cruz also told me at that time that applicants were expected to be "professional throughout the application process." – Apparently Ms Elizabeth Cruz says this to "everyone" (despite never saying this to me at any time during our previous phone calls before that). It wasn't after I called to follow up on my PA application (months later) that I was told (more so screamed at) by Mr David Coronado, who told me I would not be accepted into their PA program and that my DC acceptance had been rescinded because I had "altered" their admission emails… When I tried to ask where this accusation was coming from, Mr David Coronado refused to let me speak and threatened to report me to CASPA. When I tried to justify the validity of the emails I had received, Mr Coronado raised his voice at me and told me that my opinion did not matter. Well after months of being told I'd get a call back from the dean of the DC and PA program (which never occurred), I was able to settle the situation with the school and obtain an apology. The school did in fact report me to CASPA and I was also able to obtain a retraction for their libelous claim. At this point I have no desire to attend this school and was glad to see the reality about SCUHS before becoming part of the student body. Ultimately SCUHS and its staff lack the professionalism required to operate a health sciences school and SCUHS' action only discredits the legitimacy of the school. While SCHUS is tasked with training our future healthcare providers, the school doesn't seem to know what it is doing at the administrative level…Harold C

I go to this school for chiropractic and am closing in on graduation. My whole cohort feels the same way some teachers are great some are awful. The admin at this school is awful. They change things constantly in regards to events and important classes and let us know days before. Selectives are a complete joke at this school. Sports medicine is a complete joke and there are teachers here who hate adjusting. The gonstead club is banned because it’s too chiropractic for this school. There are numerous alumni who call this place LAPT because we come out of here so good at soft tissue and not at adjusting. This school teaches things the wrong way. Dean fachinatto is the worst dean possible she would not work with anyone to get an in person white coat ceremony without families in attendance. All we wanted was a Facebook live ceremony where we were presented our white coat on camera and put on the coat for our families to see at home, but she would not work with us at all and we were given the worst zoom ceremony ever. She even claimed it would be super special but it was literally our names on the screen being read off on zoom. Do your research on this place before you come.Mick Burney

Do not waste your time at this school, Please stay away, they have poor professionalism, quality of care, rude workers specifically at the billing center. They will tell you one price first and then on the day of payment tell you a 20% increased price. These people are not honest, and will steal from you, mind that if you do pay all this money you will get the worst customer service ever. I submitted a payment plan and never got a response back I had to initiate like hey I'm calling about my payment plan, they really set you up for failure. I asked to speak to a supervisor never got a call back. I cannot believe I had to pay $2,450 for a 100% online course. Be careful with hidden fees! They lie to you and will not help with solving any issues. I dunno if there is a Dean in the school but I have called many different "supervisors" never got an answer or call back, no one ever helped me solve my issue. I went there for a Covid vaccine. A coworker told me about the facility due to looking for an appointment for her mom. I had been having a hard time finding availability and was able to get an appointment Wednesday for the next day.. They were very organized and safe. There were lots of people moving everyone along, checking temperatures, identification and email appointment times. After the vaccine, they had you wait 15 minutes to monitor you for possibly reactions. Overall, I was there about 35 to 40 minutes.Susan Johnson

Dr. Clark and his staff are amazing! They take great care of our animal children as if they were their own. The place is very clean, the exam rooms are immaculate. The doctors and assistants talk you through the procedures and have great compassion for animals and love their jobs. They will always have my businessTee Thomas

The University campus is beautiful and full of fresh air and bright sunshine. The facility management and security systems are awesome. Everybody is so kind and helpful here that it stands tall on its claim of creating value through inclusiveness and by nurturing fundamental human qualities of courage, compassion and wisdom. The scenery of Soka is amazing in the early mornings and at sunset. The place is flourished with all sorts of plants. The food is amazing and the Dorms are high ceilings and spacious. I love coming here every summer for music programs, the campus is very homey and super welcoming. A benefit of this place find outstanding professors and good education. Tuition is not bad. This university is a growing university that deserves good reputations, but has dragged down by poor admin, HR, Dept Chair. Academic affair and chair make the whole procedure slowed down and dysfunctional. They keep getting deficits from under-enrollement and have a few million deficits from COM academic affairs and do not take responsibility. They sacrifice well run programs and the fund does not come back. Very low salary. San Francisco's poverty limit is $117K and I believe most are below the poverty level. Vallejo is the most diverse city of white 32%, Asian 24%, Hispanic/Latino 22%, Black/African American, 22%. COM admin and department leadership are far from the demographic diversity. It does not help. Non-compliance is coming back, past faculty who got paid, did nothing and is still on safety committee. The university needs biosafety officer. The university has warm culture and nice. Faculty and students work together and emphasize the culture. On the better side, some are very talented to fix the issues. They are willing to do extra duties for nothing and burn out. They are here for students and teaching. Standing ovation but students do not do well is not teaching. It has flagrant and bizarre academics and professionalism. Correct knowledge is what COM dean and chair say, but not the current state of understanding. If you say something, you will face a group of people who accuses you unprofessional and not collegial. This is how the review goes. This is how the evaluation works. Academics office promoted associate professor with only a master's degree – must have the highest degree is the bylaw. The university does not give resources, weakens faculty and say get the grant. dept chair messed paperwork that costs me $8,000, and continues to mess it up. I take pride in the job but not doing it for compensation! Do you know a short notice cost me a few hundreds? each time I arrange a baby-sitter. They squeeze salary, resource and smash the pride. MSHMS management is unprepared and is manipulative. They allow student bad behaviours. Pharm teaches wrong knowledge. Immuno is awful. The university has nationally recognized professors that can give insights to the whole university. They are the ones that give reputation and lead the university. The department is ready for the next step with better leadership. It has good faculties with quality. It is not for somebody who stays for a stipend creating a cylo-like culture not following policy and regulations. Those create a sub-culture of non-compliance. They make everything very difficult, make small issues big. They blame faculty who is trouble-shooting the problem. Such leadership is not needed. Admin should update the dept and program leadership. Sadly, similar goes to some researchers who are extremely hostile and blame others for their faults. A researcher has nearly no paper published but very critical to others. They spilled something nasty in the lab, did not clean it up, and blame the university. They demand more teaching for job security when losing the grant. It is THEM who make trouble. They come as a group saying unprofessional, but professionalism is not how many say it. Same goes for admin. We need better professionalism standards. IT still keeps breaking down after upgrades. paperwork is kept messing up. facilities give no response, new vending machines still eating money, scheduling is a whole mess. budget is poorly managed- where does faculty fund go? Orders take forever. Learning center CILT is newly developed, but is not well-organized for rapid changes in teaching. Lectures are diminishing. Students seek assistance but are not getting it. They should focus on retention and focus on something nice.dr nik

Classes in the Grad School of Education provide practical information relevant to the classroom. They have a library that is always open, and a number of relevant focus areas for today's teachers. However, they're overrun with bureaucratic drivel removing students from their program multiple semesters in, due to their own clerical oversights during admission and have had people other than the professor run classes. The syllabus and rubrics wont always match up and you'll be denied a grade. Dont ever expect to get the benefit of the doubt, and never delude yourself into thinking anyone there cares whether or not you are successful. You will hit wall after wall with them unless you are the quintessential student without any outside responsibilities or any interference from real life. In short, it is a decent program as long as you don't expect to matter as a human being or a teacher.Meghan Hansford

TUW has exceeded my expectations so far. Not only is communication direct and smooth, the assistance from enrollment counselors like Kim, and academic advisors, is excellent. I begin classes in late August but have been guided in a sense that I feel comfortable and confident about beginning my first term in the Masters of Arts in Family and Marriage Therapy program. From financial aid to registration, TUW staff is there for you along the way. I attended a small private college for 2 years and a public state college for 2 years. Similar to the small college, TUW is available for help and seems to truly care about the success of their students.maya stephen

Choc is convenient to me, but unfortunately, after my experience here, I will drive much further to receive care somewhere else. The experience with your hospital left me in tears and a baby without care for breathing difficulty and croup. After waiting seven hours with no updates or information (I asked several times for updates and to make sure they didn’t call me and I missed it), I left to seek care from my primary pediatrician. I was told they were going to administer a breathing treatment to my baby and then I could be discharged without having to wait to see a doctor. I saw everyone around me get called to be taken to a room, while I waited for hours and hours. No one ever came. Then I saw the nurse who told me my baby would be treated leave the hospital as his shift had ended. Still no communication. I arrived at 1:30 am and left at 8:30 am. Upon arrival, I had to park on the third floor of the parking garage, and none of the elevators were operating and so I had to go down the stairs with my baby in his stroller and diaper bag and all. It was unsafe and extraordinarily difficult. I will never consider using this hospital again, and I will be telling everyone I come across not to use this hospital, including every parent I know. I understand times may be challenging with increased wait times but this experience was beyond unacceptable leaving a mother with a baby having trouble breathing, barking like a seal (croup), and restricted airways sitting in the lobby for seven hours with no information, no one checking on us, no one offering any concern whatsoever. I gave this hospital one star because there wasn’t an option for zero stars.Rafael Garcia

I appreciate this place with all I have. My daughter was diagnosed with Chronic Asthma when she was two years old. We had been to so many hospitals where she was always provided temporary treatment. As soon as we arrived at the CHOC emergency room, (can’t remember the year, maybe 2017), my daughter was given the best care I had ever experienced in Southern California. I had been to USC Hospital – Los Angeles, St. Jude Hospital – Fullerton, Mercy Hospital – Merced, Children’s Hospital – Fresno, Miller Children’s Hospital – Long Beach, and many more. But when we arrived here they basically told me, “she has been hospitalized too many times, your daughter needs lasting treatment and assistance, we can set her up with a doctor here in our clinics”…. Ever since then my daughter, who is now turning 10, has been in great health because of her doctor at the pulmonary clinic! Glory be to God and I thank her doctor 👩‍⚕️ (Dr. Patricia Tate) for her immeasurable help and support in my daughters life. For four years she received 6-month check-ups and, every time, her doctor was helpful and understanding. Even when I wasn’t doing what was right as a parent (giving my daughter the prescription doses as often as prescribed), she showed a sincere concern to get us back on track. I would definitely recommend this place to any child who has chronic asthma. I’m not sure if you need to be an extreme case like my daughter was. She was in and out of emergency rooms for 3-4 years before we got referred to the pulmonary clinic.Kimberly Mendoza

I’ve been to the ER quite a few times with both of my children (my daughter has diabetes and my son has breathing issues), and I will never take my kids to any other ER if I can help it. First off, every single nurse and doctor I’ve encountered in the ER has been courteous, caring, gentle, and playful with my children. They listen to everything I have to say and explain in detail what is happening to my children. Secondly this is truly a hospital that is geared specifically towards kids. For example, when my daughter got an IV placed or my son got stitches they brought in an employee who’s job it is to distract and make sure my kids didn’t know what was going on. I could literally make a list of 10 other “kid specific” things this hospital does to make sure kids are well taken care of. They’re just amazing! My daughter is also seen in their Clinic and again everyone is AMAZING! They talk to her on her level, they roll with her 5 year old tangents, and they play with her. On one specific visit everyone that came into the exam room knew the floor was lava and played along with my daughters game. It was amazing! If you have to choose an ER to go to with your kids, come here. If you have the option to have care here, do it. It’s an amazing hospital!Jami Olsen

The emergency room doctor was awful-incompetent and non caring! My husband was brought in by ambulance as I believed he had suffered a stroke. The emergency room Dr. tried to tell me he got dizzy because he ripped off a bandaid – kinda like when someone sees blood and faints! I was speechless-I asked him if his father or wife had the same symptoms would he send them home and he said yes he would. I told him I wanted my husband to have an MRI first. He said “Well, you’ll be waiting all night. There’s a lot of other people waiting for an MRI.” He told us he’d give us a few minutes to decide. He came back to the room and I said “ the CDC guidelines post the symptoms of a stroke and my husband has all them! He then said “ok, you are staying the night then.” A few minutes later a wonderful Dr. came in and from there my husband was put in the progressive stroke care unit and everyone there was absolutely fabulous. I give them FIVE stars!! My husband did stroke in three parts of his brain- thank God, I didn’t take the “advice” of the emergency room doctor. My mother was seen last night in ED Mission Hospital. We had a terrible experience. The laboratory and Radiology ( X-RAY) turn around time is a disaster. As a Trauma hospital the Turn around time for laboratory test results must be available <45 minutes. It takes >4 hours to get all the results back. My mom was negative for COVID they didn’t even test RSV or Flu. She has fever for 2 days didn’t even test her for Lactate for possible Sepsis. At the end they test her for Flu. …omg its positive Flu A. Can’t you imagine it takes them > 4 hours to rule out FLU A ( the test takes only 20-30 minutes) all i hear from the receptionist is “ we are very busy” … are you guys out of Ratio? Hows your patient experience? I think your patient length of stay is Terrible. Should we discuss this with CDPH to check your hospital performance as a level 1 Trauma hospital?Randz R

The worst ER room I’ve been to and I’m from a higher population city. They misdiagnosed me until I demanded tests, were snarky that I was upset, down right rude, after the results of tests were severe they were apologetic. After being referred to a surgeon I was unable to see them because I was out of area, I returned with worsening symptoms, and everything on my sheet they gave me to return to ER if I was experiencing. In extreme pain with a worsening symptoms they left me in ER waiting room for over 6 hours. I left to be miserable at least in a bed. Awful management, they don't listen to women, barely give exam or run any tests. The nurse said his only job was to get me out of there. Do not go here your life depends on it! Oh when I got a room it had no bed- I was sat in a waiting room chair in an ER exam room with a cervical injury.Jackie Lenz

I highly recommend furthering your education elsewhere. I was told INCORRECT information by those who likely get paid handsomely to tell their students CORRECT information. I am 1 1/2 years into their Masters program for MFT with 8 classes left. I withdrew from a class during their 2nd Spring AFTER inquiring from both my advisor AND the one stop coordinator Alexis. I was informed by both that I would be fine withdrawing (because I took 2 classes in Spring 1), I would maintain my FA eligibility, all would be good… fast forward 2 months, a slew of emails (initiated by mostly myself) because of multiple balance changes on my account, I am now in arrears for $900 which is expected to be paid before I can enroll in any more classes. I'm disgusted at the way they have handled this and would NEVER recommend Brandman to anyone. This comes on the heels of me having to track down a Professor because of a discrepancy on my grade (my first C). It took this Professor 6 weeks to respond to me, although I really am not surprised considering he felt it necessary to plan a personal vacation our 2nd week of an 8 week class and then called in sick the 3rd class. I mean, its not like the students aren't paying upwards of $2000 for each class, right?! I have filed a complaint with the Dept of Education and will continue to file complaints with whoever I can, because this place should not be allowed to be running with such incompetent individuals handling something as important as a person's education.Kelley C

VETERAN STUDENTS.I have been attending UmassGlobal since it was Brandman. They have dealt with the transition smoothly and ensured my accommodations for my GI Bills were met to receive full BAH. My one stop specialist Lindsey Elsensohn and campus director Melissa Brunson helped me through rough patches when the VA wouldn’t process payment due to online/name change. This school has marketed their military services but never did I expect a freaking campus director to reach out to a student to make sure I was ok. This is the only educational institution where I attended where the staff makes the first move and reaches out to their veteran students rather than wait for something to go wrong and have their students reach out to them. I can’t speak on behalf of everyone as it is not my nor anyone’s place to do so but I will say that UmassGlobal has very military friendly staff members and will go above and beyond to make sure us Vets get full use of the GI bill we earned. If you are a Vet l, like flexible course times, and are tired of “kids” at conventional university I would highly recommend this placeNathan Chin

I began my studies for my masters during the pandemic and chose brandman / UMass global because our kids highschool used them to allow students to earn both highschool and college credits. However , since I have attended and am almost done, financial aid support greatly lacks , many teachers should not be teaching, and advisors not really helping but referring you to other advisors. Everyone gives you vague answers when you do get a response and there is a great lack of communication among departments. Had someone given me a heads-up I would have waited a little longer and gone to one of the other schools that accepted me, brandman just had a faster start time. I have talked to other grads and they all feel the same as I do. So please save yourself the headache and learn from us , do your homework ask questions and make sure you feel comfortable before attending here, also once you start your credits are not transferable if you decide to switch schools. This school needs alot of work.Dan

This school was worth every penny to go to. The campus is beautiful (as long as you ignore a few smells), the school spirit is great, and the academics are rigorous, yet fair. This school makes you work now so you are prepared for the difficulties of this college. The athletics are one of the best in the state and I love the choir. Most of all, I love the faith formation at this school. When I was choosing between this school and St. Michael's, one main concern of mine was that I wouldn't get a good education about the Catholic faith, and BOY was I proven wrong. In freshman year, the teacher already introduces you to more experienced Theology and Philosophy. However, if you are not Catholic, the school definitely won't force you to be one. Not only does this school give you a better faith, but it also teaches you to be a man or woman with character and integrity. There are people that say that all of the kids are snobby but that's not the case at all. There will always be your select few, but most kids in the school are really affected by the school's great program of character building. Overall, this school is a masterpiece that brings a building of faith, intellect, and character of its students. Also, if you haven't noticed, all reviews that are 2 to 1 stars are reviews that are saying that the students are all rich and snobby (not true) and that we have drug problems. I would also like to note that JSerra has regulated drug tests that makes sure that people aren't violating the law so we have more drug control than most schools. We have been at JSerra for 10 years since the charter class days. We have 4 kids and 3 out of the 4 have gone to JSerra and received an outstanding education. Our youngest will be entering next year, This school is surrounding and there is such a community. When kids have a rough time in high school, wheather it is friend problems, boyfriend/girlfriend problems, difficulty in school problems there is always someone to confide and talk to at the school. The kids experience religious retreats that make them realize how many people (administrators and fellow students) care for them. Our two children that have graduated have gone on to receive an outstanding college experience and continually give credit to their positive high school experience at JSerra for their ease in transition to college. JSerra is where you want to send you children if you want a whole person experience where the child receives and outstanding education, faith based learning which stresses morals and values to become contributing human beings to society and experiences which will make them grow and transition into the next phase of their life. My son is in his second year at JSerra. We relocated from Chicago and found JSerra by a chance introduction to the football summer camp. Upon visiting the facilities and participating in the camp our son asked us if he could attend. We looked into it, the school has a great reputation, so we signed him up. Almost two full years later, we couldn't be happier. He loves the school, enjoys the teachers, the facilities, the coaches and of course the Bistro. yesterday 7/27/2020 I officially graduated from Concorde college (MA PROGRAM) and all I can say is if you’re looking for a school to help you learn about the medical field Concorde is it. They have great teachers willing to help you as much as possible. They have a great computer lab, always open to help! The school is very well kept and cleaned! Staff also does little events here and there just to show appreciation to the students which I loved. The staff here are AMAZING! 2 staff I would really like to shout out are ARIANA HERTZ & MONICA CARLOS! Both of these woman helped me so much and went out their way to make sure i was doing great at Concorde. Security GEORGE was also such a great staff, he always would help as much as he can. But overall all staff is great, super helpful and super friendly. I felt so welcomed at Concorde as soon as I got there! So glad I came to this school because not only did I get an education but I made some wonderful friends here too. I LOVE CONCORDE💙! This review is overdue. But I wanted to wait until I had been working in my field a couple of years to review. I graduated in 2019 with my LVN, and I was able to obtain my license in January 2020. I was well prepared. Passed my nclex on the first try. But I studied and I followed the direction the instructors and staff recommended to get there. Sometimes it felt like they were dragging us through the ringer, when it came to assignments, tests, clinical etc. But it was well worth it. I started my job confident in all of the basic LVN skills. Vital signs, GT, wound care, interpersonal relationships etc. This school taught me so much about myself. If you are considering a career change; or a jump start to your career. I highly recommend. But don’t go here thinking it will be easy. You WILL have to put in the work. Also another tip, communication is key. If you don’t let the school know what’s going on, they won’t be able to help you.Chynna Hooper

Garden Grove Concorde is what you expect out of a school. I love this campus. I enrolled here in 2006 for the Respiratory Therapist program and graduated in 2008. During the program, they provided all the resources i needed to get through all my courses such as tutoring, 1 on 1 help, and most importantly the most friendliest, attentive staff from the front the front desk all the way to the top. i would like to mention someone who has help through my toughest times, Lynda Carlos. When i was having trouble with my application process she would go out of her way to help me. She was like this with every student and every one of my class mates love her. If anyone is out there looking for a school that actually cares about your future and education, I recommend this school.Ken Torres

This review is for the Pilates class alone. I booked a weekday morning class. Parking and finding the studio was easy. Drive was the farthest for me so far, but that's relevant to each person. I was the first one to show up, and the teacher was a younger chick with high-top Converse on. She checked me in, asked me if it was my first time at the studio through ClassPass, but didn't ask me if I'd ever done Pilates before. She seemed a little apathetic and didn't show me around or give me a low down on anything in the studio. Sooo I found my own reformer and waited for people to show up. Most people were a bit older than me, by probably 10-20 years. It was a decent class, but no music, low energy and just overall kinda sleepy. The teacher literally did some Pilates in her high-tops and others did the class in their tennies. It didn't seem that technical and it wasn't much of a workout or challenge. It was a decent stretch and way to wake up though. I just didn't feel any sort of connection to the teacher or the studio. The teacher and patrons didn't talk to me or acknowledge me, and the class was underwhelming, so I was like meh, thanks for the class. Bye. Maybe it's a good physical therapy clinic… who knows?Sami Black

Can't say enough good things about the Staff and facility. I just completed rehab at Envision following minor knee surgery. With Tanner Smith (very awesome young man) as my Physical Therapist we were able to achieve my rehab objectives and get me back to trail running and full body workouts in a relatively short amount of time. Tanner understood my desires to get back at it as soon as possible and made sure that my program was focused on getting the results desired. Every staff member I met was personable, knowledgeable and focused on the task at hand of getting my 67 year old body better than it was pre-surgery. Plantar Fasciitis Solved!!!! I love going to Envision in RSM. My therapists Melissa and Matt were wonderful and the staff is always friendly and professional. I was in a boot for weeks and was 100% convinced I was going to need surgery before I walked through the doors. After a few weeks, I feel amazing. Myself and my podiatrist are thrilled I do not have to go in for surgery. The staff always remembered my name and what I did over the weekend and I enjoyed going every visit. I learned a lot about how the other parts of your body could be the actual source of your problem and now I have knowledge and help for life to deal with my plantar fascia. My daughter attended a summer camp at Gilman School. It was an excellent investment! She enjoyed the camp and learned a great deal in the process (it was a STEM related course). She looks forward to joining Gilman again. My daughter also attended a summer writing (enrichment) course at Gilman. The instructor (Adam Herb) did a wonderful job to ensure the course was engaging, and fun for the students. The staff and dentist was absolutely amazing. Very honest and upfront about the best financial options in getting my teeth fixed. They are all polite and professional , seem to be trustworthy. My teenager would benefit greatly from in person visits. We know this isn’t an option right now, but felt that some of his/their concerns were brushed over. Having never seen a psychiatrist before he/they felt that there wasn’t a enough of a connection to build trust. Granted a psychiatrist is not a therapist, but my teenager needed a bit more compassion beyond a clinical diagnosis. Despite these reservations, Amanda explained the new medication regimen thoroughly and gave us time to ask questions. We will continue our care with Harbor Psychiatry because they accept MediCal and have excellent communication to make and confirm appointments.Suzanne Ohman

I have seen a few providers at Harbor Psychiatry over the years and have had a pleasant experience with all of them. However, Brett Larson stands out amoung them all he goes above and beyond for his patients and truly cares about finding a treatment plan that works best . Brett made me feel like an actual person and not just another chart. He listen to my end goal of not wanting to be on any medication for my PPD and worked with me to make sure that was accomplished. I love this place! I've been struggling with mental illness for most of my life and the doctors at this place are wonderful. I feel so "seen" and it's so easy to make appointments! If you're struggling and don't know where to turn, I highly suggest Harbor– they diagnose, have lots of different therapists/therapies, lots of programs, and other stuff! Even though they discontinued a therapy class I was looking to enter (due to covid stuff), the psych I see at Harbor helped me gather resources in the meantime, which really means the world when you're struggling <3Ari

Great practice! I went to get cleaning and fillings after neglecting my teeth for years. Dr. Flores was super nice and welcoming. He really cares about his patients. Not only does he explain everything he is doing, he also provides educational tips on how to take better care of your teeth. I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. I did three fillings and it took about an hour. I really liked that no anesthesia was required since the procedure was done by laser. It was painless and everything was done when I sat up from the chair. Dr. Flores is complete and thorough in his examination. He looks at many aspects of oral health and was more meticulous than my previous dentists. As someone who isn’t keen on dental visits, Dr. Flores made my trips a pleasant experience. Dr. Jeff Flores provides quality dental care in a spotless, clean environment. He is by far the most gentle and detail oriented dentist I have ever had. He takes time to help his patients understand the process behind each procedure, and makes sure you are comfortable before proceeding. His office is outfitted with latest equipment and technology – everything from massage enabled chairs, LCD screens, laser therapy treatment, the latest x-ray machines, etc. The entire clinic is pristine with the highest hygiene standard. I found Dr. Flores after doing a Yelp search. After seeing the high ranks Rancho Dental was getting, I decided to give this practice a try, and I am sure glad I did. Dr. Flores found issues with my teeth that my previous dentist had ignored. It was actually a substantial number of issues. However, both Dr. Flores and Lauren showed much patience with me as I digested everything. Fast forward to this year, where I had changed my insurance so I could go back to Dr. Flores. He has fixed several of my teeth. He is a very thorough dentist, and does all the work himself. You know you are in good hands. I found in the past it very hard to find a honest and professional dental office and so happy I found Dr Tale I really feel I can trust his diagnosis and he not recommending unnecessary treatment.
