My son attends Morehouse! Their freshman class made history Fall 2016. This was his first time leaving home. Well into the first semester, he made his first visit home, I was astonished at what I observed for those two days. He had matured mentally, spoke with clarity and confidence, more importantly he carefully listened to what was being said, evaluated what he needed to say before blurring it out as he did prior to attending Morehouse College and spoke humbly with an improved vocabulary. I had to stare at him a few times to see if he was the same young man that just left three months ago… Although, the change may have not been huge, it was significant enough to be noticeable by our family, neighbors and his friends. I cried happy tears before going to bed that night and I thank God for guiding him to this school. His change is real, his struggles are in the past and his success is his future transition from a "Man of Morehouse" to a "Morehouse Man!" Morehouse College is the real deal for educating our young black men across the globe!Karen Johnson

This institution is only living off the names of the world renowned gentleman that are alumni.Because of an incompetent administration team,I only spent 15 days at that school due to financial issues which I was not at fault.It is ironic to witness the urgency they displayed in removing me from my registered classes,however the same urgency was not made to find my FAFSA information in a timely manner that was carelessly misplaced in some soft copy files.This school is a joke,and should be grateful of the outstanding names associated with it. Bruh, the whole school trash…literally. The instructors ain’t instructing. Do not take online classes, the teachers NEVER respond! They didn’t post assignments until 2 weeks after class started and I was literally begging each one to respond to my messages to see what was going on.. THEY NEVER RESPONDED! Then they posted the missed assignments last (with no communication to the students) and expected it to be done in 2 days. I was sick with Covid and emailed every one of them to make-up work, no response initially (which caused me to fall behind), and then when I kept emailing, everyone lied and said they re-opened the missed assignments but did not! It took over 3 months to be admitted to the school. I kept calling and getting switched from department to department , no call backs and no emails- I should’ve knew then. I’m looking for another school to switch to next semester that will let me take my Accounting major online- I REFUSE to give this school FREE money! They need to be reported and sued. Maybe even closed down. THIS ISN’T A REAL SCHOOL! MARK MY WORDS! Lets all work together and get this school shut down permanently! A Mississippian now trying to get back in school after seven years,found Atlanta technical college.I had the hardest most difficult time reaching a advisor for the Paralegal course. I called numerous times and left a voicemail. I also called the dean and no answer. I sent an email to my advisor and received no reply. I finally got a call from my advisor like one day before the summer course start . I was so upset I wanted to attend this summer 2022. The advisor advised me not to start because class starts the next day and I would be rushing and scrambling to buy books and schedule classes. I hate that this school makes it hard for us who are really trying to get this magic ticket to the so called “ American Dream”. I’ve been to better schools in Mississippi and Indiana. I applied and send all required docs in July ai go to the school 1x a week just to be told they have a new system and my application will be updated in 48-72 hours.. No one answered any contact number and whoever is answering the the calls either automatically puts the calls in the waiting queue, or doesn’t want to answer your questions and rushes you off the phone, this morning alone I have been on hold two hours and have yet to speak to anyone. Unfortunately, I cannot agree with the many glowing reviews I see here. I saw two physicians over the course of three appointments in summer 2021. The first physician, Dr Mathers, was very attentive and discussed my concerns with me in-depth. However, he then referred me to his colleague Dr Rodriguez for my next two visits. Dr Rodriguez spent maybe 3-4 minutes with me in each appointment and did not explain the results of my MRI or address my concerns but recommended surgery. I found a new provider for follow up care and have not had surgery. Even further, I was informed yesterday by my credit monitoring service that I was sent to collections in November 2021 for an amount less than $100. I was never informed of any outstanding amount due. In October 2021, I checked my patient portal, which showed $0 owed, and also called to confirm I do not owe anything. I called again today and was informed I did not owe anything, and they had no record of sending me to collections. I now have to deal with the hassle of disputing with all three credit agencies and the collection agency. All around, this has been an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience. I simply cannot recommend this group for your medical care.Christi Rich

Saw Dr. Travis Littleton for an issue with my shoulder that's persisted for a few weeks. He was great. How great? Great enough for me to still give this place a 5 star review even with the parking being sort of a nightmare, one of the two main parking payment machines were busted and the building layout is sort of confusing where level 4 is the basically floor one (the parking follows suit, I parked on P5, which is actually level 2 WHICH is actually where i needed to be BUT I was looking for suite 200… which 99 times out of 100 is on floor 2… actually thinking back on it I'm not even sure what floor I was on. All I do remember is accidentally finding my way to the ground floor and being surprised that's where I was).Myke Chapman

I went to P.O. at this location for many months. From the great front desk staff to the physical therapists, everyone was a true professional. Patrick was excellent: clearly very knowledgeable, able to adapt to my specific needs/situation, easy to get along with, and able to explain things in layman's terms. My healing processes was greatly facilitated by the great care Patrick provided. Also worth noting that the place is spacious, lots of natural light, a TV to distract me, and overall very friendly place. I highly recommend this office and certainly Patrick.Raul Pino

AVOID. Left this practice at the end of 2020 after total treatment failure stemming from MD's serious lack of knowledge with regards to treating the condition they themselves diagnosed in 2019. They are still making my life harder at every point of contact. Potential patients (sorry, "clients" or whatever) should know that they have no functional internal record keeping system. When I asked for my medical record to take to a new doctor I had a nightmare dealing with them by phone that ended with Katie Bacot, a malicious and petty office personality, sending me an email with 52 separate attachments that contained only my "take home forms" and lab results already received. I was a patient that paid cash and followed their (constantly changing) treatment and bureaucracy protocols to the best of my ability from 2016-2020 and all it did was cost me tens of thousands of dollars and having to eventually google "How to write a patient narrative" myself. Atlanta is a city filled with integrative specialists and very capable internists, some of whom even take insurance (UNLIKE CentreSpring) — try any or all of them first. (Edited to add: they offer discounts and otherwise pressure current patients to leave positive Google reviews so take any 5 star rating with a grain of salt! I can't say enough great things about this place or these people. We drove three hours to get there and they were fantastic. The front desk team was so kind, warm, welcoming, and interactive with my son. The doctor, Leigh, went above and beyond to be so intentional with us and spent almost two hours truly listening, hearing, and addressing all of our concerns. After leaving the office, they moved rapidly to get us a referral in under a two hour time span and spent the morning off and on the phone making sure everything was taken care of. I first visited Dr. Taz after being told I could not have kids. She put me on a treatment plan and got pregnant within 6 months! I came back 6 years later after dealing with an unexplained, undiagnosed, chronic illnesses. I had seen 10 specialist and decided I wanted a comprehensive approach. After one visit Dr. Tax gave me answers and my symptoms are better managed and honestly almost non-existing! Emily and the nurse, I don’t recall her name, were the nicest most caring, most concerned doctor and nurse I’ve ever had assist me. They took the time to explain what was causing my issues and also help me understand some side effects from medication I am taking that could exasperate the issue as well. She is upbeat, compassionate, and funny along with being a dermatologist who can size up a situation or condition and make recommendations and write scripts for treatments and medicines that work, almost immediately. Several years ago, I became a patient at Piedmont Internal Medicine because my grandmother, who had been a long time patient of the practice, absolutely adored her physician, Dr Frances Long. When I first visited the practice as a patient myself, Dr Long was out of town, so I saw one of the other physicians, Dr Elizabeth Hawk, and Dr Hawk has been my doctor ever since. I find Dr Hawk to be extremely intelligent, with a down to Earth demeanor, and I put 100% of my trust in her abilities, her diagnosis, and her choice of recommendations for specialists if/when needed. Dr Hawk is very easy to talk to and she has helped me tremendously over the years, but especially over the past two years while we've tried to resolve some stomach problems I've been having. I've never told Dr Hawk this, and I hope she reads my review, but I've come to realize that as a patient of Dr Hawk's, I'm now a more responsible patient and a better person. She has taught me that rather than waiting until something is terribly wrong, its all about catching things early and implementing preventative medicine. I can be bad about getting mammograms and other routine preventative testing because I get scared, but when Dr Hawk asked me why I don't do it, she said, "If it were me, I'd want to know." And, she was right. Recently, I had an appointment with a well respected GI specialist and when he found out that Dr Hawk is my doctor he said, "Dr Hawk is an excellent doctor. Stick with her!" And, I fully intend to! Dr Hawk has the ability to put my mind at ease and I'm so very grateful to have her as my physician. Frankly, the whole team at Piedmont Internal Medicine is great. I have been a patient with Dr. Frances Long for several years. Her staff are always attentive, helpful and friendly. The office is very efficient and well run. Dr. Long is an awesome doctor. She remembers details without looking at a chart, she asks good questions and takes her time with me. A couple of years ago my blood work results came back a little high in certain areas. We discussed it, she wanted to redo the tests and then gave me lifestyle options that didn’t include medication. I appreciated that. I honestly did not want to leave a review because I did not want to think about my experience anymore but my experience was not good. I won’t go into too much detail regarding reason for visit but I will say the urgency for an urgent visit was nonexistent. The nurse(did not catch her name) who assisted had the craziest attitude. Chewed her gum and made sure to take her time while the issue warranted an urgent response. The doctor as well. I’m sure medical personnel are taught not to panic so you don’t panic the patients but at least show care and some urgency. Even the emergency room staff will quickly make sure you’re seen and taken care of. They will also talk to the patient and show concern. Show that they care and love what they do. We did not receive that from this establishment. If being in the medical field and dealing with people has taken you away from your passion, then please find another profession. I did not feel like they cared at all. They were however anxious to tell me to write a review so I guess that’s more important. The few times I have been here before this visit I never had a issue. It was always crowded however the staff was still respectful and had urgency. This visit there was literally one person in the waiting area. It seemed like a slow day and no one showed concern. The receptionist did seem to listen, did care and tried her best to quickly check us in. That was the only positive part of the visit. Though this location is closer to my home, I will have to drive a little extra to another facility if another visit is needed. Dr. Veena is fantastic. I have been here twice and she is extremely nice and I feel like she is actually listening to me when I talk. The office is clean and waiting area is open and they always have something on TV while you have a *short* wait to be seen. The classes do not give you any real world experience and you have to pay for the internship and only then will you get a certificate unless you want to waste time and money taking another class that is useless. Nope won’t be going back there! She didn’t even ask me my medical history in which I had serious health concerns. She just wanted me in and out and she was rushing my service. She seems pleasant but I need you to be gentle with me considering my medical history. But since she didn’t ask me she didn’t know my skin history, she didn’t ask any whys! she jus seemed as if she already knew and was ready to throw pills on me. She knew I was on warfarin but didn’t ask why. She even had to change my meds after I LEFT. because it was conflict with the warfarin. Overall it was a very quick and easy visit! The COVID instructions are very easy to follow, and I appreciate the precautions being taken. I came to the health food store attached to the clinic with my mother-in-law who has been trying to talk me into coming to Progressive Medical. We’re both relatively talkative when we are together so it’s always interesting to see how different people react to it. While we were at the store, Bertie helped us with our purchase. My mother-in-law doesn’t like what would be considered health conscious foods in general so Bertie gave her some ideas for making her new diet more enjoyable. She also answered my questions as I noticed different products that I found interesting. She told me a bit about how Progressive Medical works and even answered questions my Mother-in-law had about her personal plan. I was really impressed with the intake process at Progress. The initial intake appointment takes a couple hours, and you have the opportunity to share your concerns in a way that western medicine does not traditionally allow. However, after you make your hefty payment for services, the level of service changes dramatically. I went weeks without a response from my case manager. Suggested supplements were not made available to me for months. There is no flexibility in scheduling. I had to wait 45 minutes for my scheduled appointment. Meanwhile, I lost my appointment for an 8-minute late arrival. After making appointments, sometimes two months in advance, I received a cancellation phone call encouraging me to change providers without regard to continuity of care. The sincerity for your well-being changes after your funds clear. I do not recommend this practice.Angelik Edmonds

I ended up here after going to several doctors for sleep issues. My sleep issue had led to depression. After speaking to the Dr. and having several tests run, I was treated with lifestyle changes which included supplements, diet changes, and stress management. Every test and result were carefully reviewed with me so that I could understand it, in layman's terms. I was skeptical at first, but now that I am on the other side and finished with my treatment, I can highly recommend Progressive Medical Center and their staff. They find the root cause of your issue and help you get healthy again. You have to be willing to do the work, put in the time and make the changes. First, you can probably get good medical care here from the doctor, however, you will get unexpected bills and have to request information about what they are for, and the hospital's billing customer service is detestable. The cpap didn't work out for me. It made my sinuses close and I got a sinus infection. Since the office wasn't letting sick people in due to covid-19, I contacted the office about what to do in regards to returning the machine for a refund (there was a 30-day window for returning it and I was sick). They said to wait until I was we'll to return it and noted this in my records. (That note is still there.) So I returned it when I was a little better. Several months later they've still not processed any credit due. Instead I'm getting shuffled between the awful customer service dept which claims no responsibility and the sleep center office which isn't holding up my arrangement with them, and of course billing is now sending past due threats even though I've been in dialogue with them. It took them four months just to send me the details of what I was being billed for. They just send you a statement billing you for what insurance didn't pay, no details. I'll be cutting ties to all the Piedmont specialists I've been seeing.Michael Wagoner

While the physician I see seems very good, the office frequently does not follow through promptly, if at all, with patient concerns (e.g., refills, insurance questions, equipment education, etc.) whether contacted by phone or through their “preferred method,” namely through MyChart). On occasion, I have waited and waited for a live person to answer the phone only to have them disconnect me. An immediate call back has gotten the message that they have closed. Haven't seen a more disorganized school. After being in the biomedical program I realized how messed up this school. When you spend two year trying to get into the DO program I feel the admissions committee should put more effort behind these students. Unfortunately they don't care because very rarely do they answer any emails and if you go see them at the office they are usually not there either. Other schools have a great system in place and are organized but PCOM sucks really hard. Submitted my application for the DO program and after multiple times of trying to get into contact I found out in march that it was incomplete. This is not professional on the part of the school. This biomedical program is basically a waste of money I recommend not to come to this school for that program. Please do your research and pick a better program to get into medical school. Don’t enroll in OMSCS. It’s only a great value if you value your time at zero. If you’re just in to get a degree, there are easier places to go. If you enroll in the hopes of learning something useful, then you’ll be displeased. Professors and TAs will waste thousands of hours of your time on assignments void of any real learning objective. CS-7641 is a great course, but otherwise you’re better served by reading recent research or watching YouTube videos. Across the board, you can expect most lectures to be ~10 years old, and don’t expect any assignment (even the auto-grades ones) to be returned in time to show you where you went wrong.Corbin Mathews

Overall a great experience in the Master's Program. There is a range of expertise within the teaching staff, as with most schools, but overall very knowledgeable and able to convey the content in a practical manner. Because this is an accelerated program, there are benefits and disadvantages. The benefits include a fast pace creating an ability to quickly complete the course in one year. Additionally the program is very economical for a master level education. The downside is limited interaction on a regular basis, limiting critical thought. Overall, if you are looking for a good program, with a fast pace, and reasonable price, this is the school for you.Ed Vickless

As great place to host the State Special Olympics, Emory is a wonderful place that suits the needs of this event. Being a high school student which is about to graduate high school, I am looking for a college which will give the best life experiences and potential. This place has great dorms and, overall, a modern architecture that is interesting to the eye and does not leave my imagination to boredom. But instead if just being here for a college visit, I decided to stay for a couple of days and realized flaws which leave me in distaste to the point of not recommending this college. Reasons are: The curriculum seems to be very beginner-like with classes and courses that I have taken as a regular high school classes. Also, eating the food for three days was the worst experience. Everyday it was poor quality food with hardly any taste which brought dissatisfaction to me and my friends at Emory. From the outside it looks very well put together, but in reality, it is just an easy way to get a degree and not be prepared for the real world in the future.mascara _m

I graduated from Emory in 2010 and can say, without any reservations, that I received a great education from the institution. Generally, the professors were brilliant and accomplished and made time for their students. Great selection of classes. The facilities were top-notch, including the dormitories (definitely better than at some of the Ivies) and the library has a ton of volumes. The endowment, though hit hard by the Crisis, still makes anything possible, really. I made use of all of these resources to go on to attend Harvard Law, for which Emory more than adequately prepared me. Additionally, they have one of the best financial aid programs in the nation (Emory Advantage), such that, if you've got the academic credentials and the personality, there's no impediment to attending. Emory Advantage made it possible, for example, for me to attend. The campus is beautiful. And Atlanta is a pretty awesome city. 5 stars.Gretel Martinez

They (staff) treat transfer students (myself) and freshmen (I witnessed) like complete idiots and garbage. I called admissions to get some help when I told the employee what my problem was she started to laugh!! Then she said I am sorry I didn't mean to laugh. I feel humiliated. I have normal relevant questions and EVERY department I have talked to gives me a vague smart ass statement (not answer). Then they direct me to another department that directs me to another department. I don't know if these are students working part time or what. Parking is terrible for students who commute. I thought it was just me, but it seems like when an advisor or financial aid/ enrollment services meet with students who are new to the school, it gives them a reason to be rude and like they don't have time for your questions. This is my first and last semester here. I just wanted a chance to go to the largest school in the metro area and possibly in Georgia. Before I end this review, there is one woman who made me feel very welcomed, she was so nice and informative and just 100% real. I Think her name is Vanessa on the fourth floor of the advising building. I hate myself for not grabbing her card.If I come back for a CIS degree, it will be because of her. I highly doubt this university has a rating 4 stars and they're just keeping 5 star reviews form eons ago and removing the reviews that don't completely praise the institution. Probably the same case as to why they're not rated on USNEWS. The Financial aid office, Housing, and a couple of other departments are either terribly understaffed or just plain unprofessional. You will rarely get a timely solution or uniformed response from these people; most the staff in advisement are basically a bad joke. This school is very unorganized as a whole and if I could re-do my choice for undergrad…you get the drift. The saving graces of this school are the professors and organizations/activities for students to participate in on campus. Location is pretty great if you're into the city life but be prepared for the expenses you wouldn't normally face living on a traditional campus. Also find it funny to mention that there are now some reviews from people who graduated more than a couple years ago but just now decided within the last month to write "glowing" reviews condemning any constructive criticisms? Seems a bit odd. If there are 1-2 star reviews from students, it's because most of us want the problems resolved and want the institution to get better since we are paying numerous fees to get our education here instead of at cheaper alternatives. What a waste of time! Not to mention the amount of debt I've obtained over the years. I've watched them take money from students, force teachers to write books and sell them… only to buy more buildings to persuade the masses! How ironic that financial aid could only get you enough money for tuition for books and you would have a $500 balance to borrow more money… the ultimate setup to acquire for loans and more money to them. Not to mention the "Book Store Credit"… to purposely draw you into spending twice as much money on REQUIRED books. There are also a ton of hidden fees in your account ledger that they do not tell you about (because we're paying for all of the upgrades around the "campus"). I used to like the school… then I realized… the lines are getting longer… I am taking IRRELEVANT forced classes… the Financial Aid office reps are trained robots… the buildings are getting nicer… parking fees are increasing…. I am not a name…. I am barely a number! But numbers lie, as do big financial institutions… that are only about MONEY! Stay away!!!! If the homeless don't get you (attacks and robberies), then GA State will find a way!!! If 30,000 students pay at least $3,000/semester, that's $90,000,000! :/ Oh… and grades are not released until you evaluate your professor. Very intimidating. Never ended up receiving services with this provider. I booked a pulmonary function appointment on FEBRUARY 7, 2022 for an April 19, 2022 appointment. It was the earliest date they had, so I booked it and waited. Note that I have been experiencing symptoms that are impacting my quality of life and which need addressing sooner rather than later. On April 11, 2022, one week before the appointment and after I had waited more than two months already, I got a call from their office saying the doctor was unavailable on my scheduled appointment date of April 19th and that my alternative was to attend a virtual appointment the next day. I was scheduled to do a pulmonary function test & I’m not exactly sure how they were intending to do this test virtually, but either way I declined because I couldn’t make room in my schedule so last minute. That was the only availability unless I wanted to wait until the end of May for the original doctor to return. Otherwise, they offered to provide the name of another practice that they recommend. I am moving states in May so I couldn’t accept either of those alternatives, so I guess I’ll just have to wait until I get settled in my new state and find a doctor. Really frustrating experience, and I felt the alternatives they offered after cancelling my appointment (virtual appt., 2 more months of waiting, or just go somewhere else) were not appropriate or professional.Katelyn Bergl

DO NOT GO HERE! I was billed over $200 for a check up but I was specifically told at the desk and by the doctor herself that I would be paying around $300 out of pocket and that I would not be paying anything else after my visit. They NEVER SAID ANYTHING ABOUT BEING BILLED after my visit. I felt like I was cheated because I was giving Morehouse doctors office a chance because I know how underfunded they are but this has completely made me not a want to go anywhere near Morehouse again. I am so disappointed. I can never reach the billing service to dispute it. I have called every day. They are nothing but liars that want money obviously. I would not suggest anyone to go there. I have already told my associates and family to not go there and to look elsewhere. I hope this review I will get a response.ALeigh

Not as prestigious as they claim. I desired so much to be apart of this black legacy..but it's a joke from my experience. They are highly unorganized and extremely unresponsive. Main reason was I decided to drop out back in 2017 Now currently I am in the process of applying to another program and apparently I have a hold on my account. I have been desperate in my efforts to get in touch with TRINA Ext 5727 and she doesn't answer or pick up the phone!! I have left numerous emails, voicemails and to tell you the truth.. they could very well be the very school who stops me from accomplishing my goals.. HORRENDOUS. UNPROFESSIONALBrittany Hague
