We were working on our project (Our Green Hope) today where we used 3000 reusable bags to make the largest mosaic. The worker at the campus were friendly and supportive. After finishing the project, all the 3K bags were given for FREE at Kroger to encourage people to start using reusable bags instead of plastic grocery bags. Please do not attend this school for it's transition to teaching graduate program. The professors did not prepare for their classes and provided low quality education to the point that I could not justify continuing with this program after paying in over $4,000. When attempting to get them to appeal the final $800 for the semester I left the program they simply refused to give any leeway or acknowledge and error on their part and sent me collections with an additional $350 fee. With no recourse beyond their own appeals process that unsurprisingly found no problem on their end, all I can do is complain on their review boards. On the plus side, the do have a beautiful campus and I can not in anyway speak to the quality of their undergraduate program.Daniel Gore

While well established as a great Franciscan university, Marian remains up-and-coming in terms of their MAT program for teachers. I had a wonderful experience in terms of the contacts made and networks formed while attending. However, much remains to be done to increase the rigor and requirements for that particular degree. Still, Marian University will soon open the second medical school in the State of Indiana. They are also adding a seemingly much finer tuned doctoral education leadership program.Tim Lankford

The buildings are contemporary except for a few historical sites that were preserved. Other than that, it appears to be a great place. The people were friendly as we visited as well. Solid school. Easy(ish) to navigate. Some of the buildings are far apart and depending on your classes you might have only 10 minutes to go all the way across campus. The staff is friendly and try to help anyone navigate the school, so don't worry! Each building is clearly labeled and maps are everywhere so it's hard to get lost. There's tons of socializing areas and seating for different gatherings. Some of the popular places would be the courtyard with the fountains or the large hill in the center of campus. The campus also has a variety of food options, so whether you want smoothies, coffee, pizza, pastries or a salad there are options all around!Zena Krimzon

They have no idea how to teach what you will need in the state of Kansas. They will use other professors lectures and do not want to answer questions or teach you. So yeah if you want to teach yourself from a book and have a bunch of assignments due constantly this is the place for you. I am taking a welding certificate so I can work in the welding workforce. I want to work for the olathe railroad welding force after college. Then maybe do some underwater welding I have not quite decided. If I do I have to take a scubadiving class to get certified in that. The staff is very helpful from enrolling to making sure you have everything you need for class. MTI has some of the best teachers around! Every teacher I’ve had so far has been super helpful and understanding and go above and beyond to explain every step of the way so you don’t feel lost. They’re very hands on and invested in every student’s success. When I first came in I felt overwhelmed as to how things would be like but they were all very reassuring. The financial aid office and Koree are fantastic and the Director of Academic and Student Affairs Sarah was amazing, too! My daughter attends this university and she has told me multiple times that the buildings are ran down, many of the professors that she's had are rude and condescending, the computers in the library and in Springfield Hall are old and slow and the wifi is horrible. This university has absolutely nothing to offer to their students. My daughter is unhappy and she's had the worst experience here and she told me that she definitely regrets attending this university. I'm a Drury grad and I must say, Drury is an amazing place to go to college. The computer science department is fantastic. The professors go out of their way to help you and make sure you succeed. I would recommend it over any large state college. I went to both MSU and Arizona State and they don't hold a candle to Drury. Great school and great environment.Josh Harrold

Dropped by here in order to go to Panda Express. Don't know why I'm reviewing a college I'm not even part of, and this review is during a pandemic too.. well, it's purely about the aesthetic and convenience of the facilities. De Anza has quite the sizeable college grounds , so sizeable that it feels like an abandoned residential area with how empty practically everything is. It's complete with artistic facilities for music, visual arts, science buildings, sports facilities and the like. While I didn't enter, the library and the nearby park (called the sunken gardens by the college) was quite the beautiful location. The outdoor seating areas where the students would take a break and wait for classes on are widespread, shaded and very calming to be on. Not to mention the very convenient bus routes available . It's no wonder the college ended up being quite popular, it's geographically excellent and quite picturesque.Ace Hughj

De Anza College is great but not the book store. Beware of book store return policy. Make sure the books or items is in original condition or their will not refund. No sympathy at all. I bought online access book a week before class starts. My math intructor switch book. And to make matter worse I accidentally bent the access book card because it was in my backpack with one line crease and they denied the return after i picked it up on 1st day of class. Cost me $120 for a simple honest mistake. Ask for store credit or even exchange for the current hard copy of the free math book and they not willing to do anything. I'll go buy from amazon or used book somewhere else. Never again support this book store.Dru Down

Community colleges are a treasure trove of gems among them is access to the on-campus gym. De Anza College’s on-campus gym provides patrons with a quiet and well rounded experience for an affordable price. From experience, these types of gyms allow me to get my workout done in a welcoming environment, which I feel can’t be said of many gyms. I do not recommend this school to anyone. There was a lot of grade school style homework and a broad spectrum of effort put in by my professors. Most of my homework was distributed digitally by the respective text book's website — NOT the professor. This created a huge disconnect when discussing homework issues in class. It was frustrating knowing my professors were not curating our homework, rather, it was being outsourced by a subsidized textbook. Their job is to educate, but remember they are there to make a profit. I could not afford my bill so they sold my debt to a collection agency.J s

My first college experience was here and it wasn't a particularly good one. The building is nice with a very comfortable atmosphere, though the parking lot is a nightmare. There is not WiFi through the entire building, which is infuriating for a student with an on campus class that is also entirely on the internet. Great school. but I think if we're paying $300.00 for a book and paying $8.00 on top of that for shipping a signature should be required from UPS and some type of insurance on it. I entered Clayton State as a Freshman in 2014, graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Human Services in 2019. I am now completing my Masters Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology. I have had more positive experiences here than negative ones. The negative experiences I had were minute. Because my negative experiences were minute, I will list those first. CONS: – I had an issue with a professor in my undergrad about an assignment I completed that I received a 0 for, and when I attempted to make a meeting with the Dean of Psychology, she canceled the meeting and my issue was never resolved. I received a C in the course, which hurt my GPA. (I am not upset at the professor, since the issue was I didn’t follow 1 instruction she gave, my issue was with the Dean canceling the appt.) – The University Health Services employees are burnt out. They are understaffed, and due to that, they are not that friendly and can take a while to get stuff turned in on time. (However, i stayed on top of it consistently and I was able to get the issue taken care of before the deadline) – Other employees at the school are not friendly, but that could be due to issues completely unrelated to the school itself. – Food in the cafeteria is not great. Now on to the great experiences! PROS: – The professors in my department are WONDERFUL. I cannot stress how awesome the professors are here. I have gone through a lot in the past few years, and one professor specifically (Dr. Mark Daddona), really helped me through it. As a single mom it was hard, but they have always been very understanding and flexible with me. If they had a Doctorate program, I would take them for that too! – The students are great. Yes, you have some that are not really here for learning, but the ones that are here to learn are great. – The janitorial staff is amazing. They have always been kind to me, and they do their job very well! The school has always been kept clean, especially the bathrooms. – Everyone is pretty responsive. I cannot seem to remember there being a time where I went days without a response from someone in any of the departments or buildings. If I can remember anything else, I will add it in the future. The professors really care about what they’re doing, and it shows. The classes may not be easy and the rules may be strict, but since this is a college, that should be expected. Bottom line, I have had nothing but great experiences. If someone were to ask me for a recommendation, I would let them know to consider Clayton State University!Cassia Encinias

Clayton State has a great environment for a young adult to be properly trained for the battles of the adult world. The professors do a great job of making sure that the students have the proper knowledge to succeed. The limited class size allows the teacher to dedicate more time to the students who need extra assistance to ensure no student is left behind academically. This style of teaching helps to minimize the anxiety that comes along with being afraid to ask for help. The professor are firm on deadlines, so this develops the skills to be hard working, plan oriented, dedicated, and accountable. The students are kind and belong to one another. I've been attending FCC since summer of 2016 and will graduate, god willing, this spring 2019. Full time, year round, no breaks. Although parking requires at least an hour grace period, I believe the over all experience is what you make it. I've come across rude people maybe having a bad day and I've had instructors I could not relate to. Its all very frustrating. Its sad to say the success rate at this college is 17%. But, then again this is an adult school. Nobodies going to call your house when your absent or hold a parent-teacher conference when your not doing your work. I am working on a Human Service degree and have enjoyed the ups and downs of my classes. The load was a little heavier in a few and I had to buckle down and utilize the tutorial, ETC, PASS, Computer lab and all other resources available. In all the those places I found the staff and student help extremely eager to be of service. The assistance was much appreciated. I am not speaking for this business itself, merely the college district's education quality. I have taken classes at Fresno, Clovis, and Reedley Community College, and I have had an absolutely deplorable time. I don't feel like I'm getting anything from the classes; I don't feel the staff is prepared to teach online, if at all. If you are going to teach college-level English, you should not make punctuation and grammatical errors consistently. If you are teaching a law class, you should not do it from inherent bias and perspective. If you are conducting an online course, you should not have to hold up a piece of paper because you don't know how to make a slide. I write this review with a very heavy heart, as I feel like the issues that have plagued myself and the important people in my life have not been improved on at MCC. Pros: MCC has an incredible range of teachers. The Criminal Justice instructors completely prepared me for transferring to a 4 year. They're so knowledgable in their field and love their students. I still go and visit them since they were so helpful and kind! I also like the variety of clubs they have at the school. There is something for everyone. Cons: This is where I get angry. I know so many people including myself, who have been swindled out of time and money by the counselors. They tell you to take classes, only to turn it around a few semesters later and say you never needed them. I spent a year and a half more there than I needed to, and my boyfriend has spent almost 2 years there more than needed. We were told we needed to take specific classes if we wanted to graduate, only to look at the actual 'planning progress' guide on MyMcc to see that there were numerous alternatives that could have been taken to receive the degree. Not to mention we both were never taught how to navigate the online planning guide, so we trusted the counselors for help. We've wasted thousands of dollars on classes that did not pertain to our majors. I would have spent more if I didn't talk to a teacher in my field, who gave it to me straight and helped me make a schedule of what classes to take that were absolutly necessary. I am still incredibly thankful, but it shouldn't be the teachers job to honestly help plan their classes. That's what a counselor is for. It still blows me away that after all this time this kind of behavior is still accepted. Bottom line is, if you're going here for a class or two for credit during the summer or in between semesters, go for it. If you want to receive a degree, be wary and trust your gut. Learn the (difficult) mechanics of the website, as it's way more reliable than any counselor.Natalie H

Edit: I'm updating my previous review but it still remains at a stellar 5 star. This is the best school I've been to. The people upstairs in Building A who run the advising and financial aid are mediocre but once you pass through that it is so amazing. I always register online for my classes so I don't have to wait in line. So if you like to be guided by the hand and told what courses you should take and not have to contemplate what you might like to take this is not the school for you. This is college, not elementary people, surprise! You actually have to think for yourself! (The audacity, I know) if you go in looking for private rich kid snobby type atmosphere where people carry you to wherever you need to go you're going to be disappointed. As far as instructors go, I cannot recommend MCC enough. Those I have currently, and have had in the past, go above, beyond, and well out of their way to assist students with material, so future students can rest assured that they will be in good hands. One thing I will say is, be ready to deal with ten kinds of attitude from financial aid, if and when you need to contact them. I've had to do so twice this semester – once for an issue they could have contacted me with when said issue happened and avoided the mix-up all together and once with a question about a grant I received – and on both occasions it seemed like I was bothering them. I got really snotty, condescending answers, so….be prepared to deal with that. That aside, though, I love MCC and highly recommend it, whether you're just starting out or heading back to school.Asero

So far I have had a just ok experience here at SPSCC. First starting with the financial aid office. We are almost three weeks into the quarter and they just now processed my awards (grants that is) but it is sitting and hasn’t been disbursed yet. Every time I have inquired about it I am given the excuse of their new ctclink system. We have got to get it together! People that apply for and receive financial aid and grants need these to help get through school. They are eligible for a reason and that is because they are low income. So taking an excessive amount of time of sending students their financial aid puts a damper on not only their learning but also their living situation. This is effecting the students and the students only. Also, the bookstore listed a book for my class as required so I purchased it a week before the quarter. Come to find out the Professor is using two completely different books. Had to make another trip to the campus to return it which was an inconvenience since I’m all online classes. Then the two books needed the bookstore does not carry. It’s been challenge after challenge here and this is just the beginning.glenda fox

I attended this college for exactly five months, and I decided to leave because I lost interest in the classes that I took, and I didn't have the interest to have a major career. An education for myself would have been very important, and I had the capability to work with subjects if I was committed to the work that I was doing, but I didn't have the interest, so I decided to be a writer instead. I also left the college because I was treated carelessly by many students, and I was treated the same way in high school, so I didn't want to continue spending more time in an environment where I would continue to be disregarded. If you are committed to getting an education, then it is all a matter of interest for what your career is, and it's up to anyone for what they want best, but even if I don't have a high education, I still have moral education from my potential to be a writer. I attended a few classes here a long time ago. I needed to get the transcripts rather quickly because the deadline for University admissions is closing in. When I visited the office the lady that helped me proceeded to treat me like dirt. I asked if the document would be in an envelope and if they needed the address I was sending it to and she proceeded to mansplain transcripts ("this is the paper its going to go on after I feed it into the printer"). From the perspective of someone who works in higher education…if I were a student and had to be mansplained to every time in needed to speak to registration/financial aid/cashiering…I would complain to her boss. I'm a vet and am finishing up my first semester at Liberty. So far I have had nothing but good experiences. I was nervous about going back to school after being in service for years, but the transition has been fairly easy with all of the help lve received.My instructors are very personable and go out of their way to help me with any problems I may run into. Professors are very professional and, unlike many schools, encourage students to form their own opinions. I have never felt as though any political agendas or doctrines were being forced upon me. Non Christians are treated equally well as everyone else, and are even welcomed to challenge or question anything they may disagree with. Divinity professors are more than willing to listen to other opinions and will clearly explain anything a non believer might want to know about Christianity. The campus itself is beautiful and full of fun things to do besides schoolwork. I am actually learning, rather than simply connecting dots to get a degree and that is exactly what I hoped for. Since I've gone to the school I've got to see politicians such as Nigel Farage and Donald Trump Jr., musicians like Jeremy Camp, sports stars like Brett Favre, world class entrepreneurs, and experts such as economists who advised the president. I’ve got one year to go to graduate from this place😭 Being a student at this university has been quite a wonderful experience. To be honest I think it’s one of the it’s not the most state of the art schools in the world. It’s impossible to get bored here. I will say though one thing about this place is that if you come here on fire for Jesus then you’ll find people on fire for Jesus but if you come here to party then you’ll find the party people so make of it what you want. Yes there’s been some drama here in the past few years but there’s drama everywhere and Liberty has been able to manage it pretty well I’d say. Set up a campus tour. It was 3 hours which entailed visiting the dorms and dining areas. To include the fitness and recreation center. As well the Jerry Falwell Library and Vines Center. We walked the campus for a few hours and then we rode the bus for the remainder of the tour. Everyone was friendly. The student tour guides did an excellent job. The campus was huge. It was well maintained. They have three dorm options. One to include apartments that house seven people. Freshmen are able to bring vehicles on campus. Wide selection of dining options. Attending SCCC was the first step I decided to take after graduating high school. I knew from the start going straight into a 4 year college was not the right choice for me. I had a goal of taking prerequisites for a future Dental Hygiene program. After 2 years of completing an associates, playing college softball and saving myself financially I was successfully able to transfer ALL my credits to a 4 year college. The professors made this process effortless while also providing me with what I needed to progress through the rigorous program of becoming a dental hygienist. Great place to learn, with a safe environment. The grounds are well taken care of, and the staff is very friendly, as well as patient when teaching. Very well at allowing students to understand what is being taught, and provide all the basics when it comes to starting your college credits. The entering staff are knowledgeable in helping you find assistance in areas you aren't familiar with such as tuition, loans and grants. The book store has all the stuff you need to succeed. They have several cafes on campus. The student center is the campus hang out. They have pool tables ping pong and a wide variety of other clubs and activities to get involved in. The mini processing plant on site is a great hands on learning tool they have RIGHT THERE on campus. All of the professors are very knowledgeable and understanding. If you want to learn and earn college credits this is the place. They have an adult learning center for people to get their GED. They're performing arts center for people that like to perform or do arts. Like drawing and painting. Have a nursing program that is top notch. All your basic studies are covered by experience and helpful staff. They have all sorts of activities, and clubs. This cosmetology where they offer haircuts and manicures. They offer instrumentation as well as process technology. They have a judicial class for those that would like to learn about the criminal justice system. They do scrolling all year round even on weekends If you have a 9 to 5 job and can't make it to regular classes. There's athletic program basketball and volleyball, they have a swimming pool weight room and banquet halls for rent. They have several lecture halls on campus as well as outdoor picnic area or study areas. There are some campuses one in Baytown, McNair, and Liberty. So their service area can be reached. They also have helpful Access student resources answer questions about programs and are always willing to go that extra mile and help make student success their number one goal. They have campus security to keep you safe and well-lit areas for evening classes. They offer welding and logistics, also support a wide variety of students from all over the world. I must say, the teachers are helpful and the classes are small-yes- but the support staff for the college itself (business office, counselors office, financial aid, ect) are the absolute RUDEST people I have ever met! I work full time, so I try to do most of my business with them via Email, Telephone, or Fax. When you email any of the support departments, they NEVER reply back, once you call them and mention "I emailed y'all a week ago but I never got a response back…here is my question" they just give you the run around, transfering you to 3+ people just to get a vague answer. Just today, I got cut off by the business office when I simply asked if I could pay for tuition over the phone. The "counselors" in the counselors office don't even remotely help you with your degree planning, each one of them will tell you something different so you are basically left to figure it out yourself and hope you get it right. I have talked to all different kinds of directors/administrators about these issues and they NEVER seem to be resolved. Point to my review is this is a good college just to get a degree behind your name, but be prepared to hit a ton of roadblocks/red tape along the way.Kayla W

Love the school, very understanding teachers & other faculty! I graduated from here my first semester of my senior year in high school before deciding to attend UT! Everything was okay all the way up until the 2020 graduation parade. When announcing my name, the announcer made a very uncomfortable mark about my dads corvette mentioning “Nice car where’d you rent that for the weekend?” I didn’t really notice until my sister played her video back after the parade. The car wasn’t rented, that’s HIS CAR FULLY PAID FOR! ACC is the best Community College in Colorado period. A large fraction of the teachers employed here are ex-Ivy League professors. My intro to business teacher was a top business professor at Clemson University. Most professors have PhD’s as opposed to a master’s degree. The grading process is very fair and these professors really care about your education and will go above and beyond to see that you succeed, granted you actually seek the help this is college people the teachers most likely aren’t going to come to you. There are so many different resources, including, but not limited too: Free tutors who are amazing ( in my opinion better than if you hired one), teachers who actually care about your future and present situations, book store/school supplies store on campus, a cafe with Caribou coffee, a milkshake machine and other great snacks, there are plenty of different areas to do school work or study that are very comfortable and convenient, they have hundreds if not thousands of majors and minors to choose from you want it, they’ve got it and so much more. Arapahoe Community College is by far the greatest her in Colorado. It is not overly priced the tuition rates are so great basically you can receive an Ivy League education for 10-15k per year. It’s an amazing way to save money especially when you are planning to go to a big university. Better to spend 10-15k on required pre- requisite classes, AKA GenEd rather than 25-75k. And since ACC has such amazingly qualified professors you won’t be behind , or unable to transfer successfully to a 4-year university, you will be able to make a smooth transition. Veteran student here, all I can say is this school has been a waste of my benefits. The administration is aware that they are understaffed, busy, and stretched far too thin. Though nothing has changed not just with ACC but CCCS as well. There was a total of 4 semesters dealing with covid and distance learning, and there was no change in how it felt to learn from Spring 2020 till this past Spring 21. Four semesters with no change in how classes are taught, how students are engaged, how professors make sure that you are understanding the information, the list goes on and on. I had given up in most of my classes that I took here. I have felt everything but motivation, and determination to want to participate and study. The course I am studied in was faulty and dated. The introductory class alone is dated and will not prepare you for what it is to be an interior designer let alone give an actual representation of the work done in the field. I didn't learn to sketch, read floor plans, study the design process, bubble charts, box charts. I LEARNED HOW TO DECORATE. It was also very clear that if you wanted to decorate and only decorate you would do well in this program. I can’t believe how much this organization has failed its students and faculty. Save your scholarships, grants, and VA benefits and go else were.David Pratt

I’m seriously contemplating whether I to stop attending ACC. It doesn’t make since that online classes cost $100 extra per credit when a professor has you read chapters, and answer the chapter questions and do a weekly discussion question. There was no feedback to where I could know if I was grasping the concepts. I’d rather research what books each class provides and read them on my own then Pay $900 to a teacher that doesn’t communicate with us at all. On top of that, I experienced a micro-aggression during my final presentation where my professor asked if my business sold burritos because we were a Latino museum… This school needs to work with educating their teachers to learn how to treat their diverse students with respect and dignity. I was really excited to jump back into school. I had an entire plan but now I may just revise it and not include anymore investment at ACC.Victoria Gonzalez

I'll preface this review by saying I am a parent of a student nearing completion of 2 years at Assumption. The campus and facilities are well kept, safe, clean and relatively modern. Like any institution, the staff is a mixed bag. We've had several instances of communications going unanswered, requiring follow up before a response is given or otherwise not rising to the level of what you'd wish for, when committing your child and a high level of financial support to any business. I'll also say that in the time of covid, things are more complicated for all businesses and families, not just Assumption. That said, when circumstances are difficult, authentic character is revealed. After returning to campus for a 'hybrid' semester, the kids who chose to try and have a semblance of normal college life, have been gravely disappointed. The protocols are strictly enforced, and most people (including me) understand they are a necessary fact of life today. Abiding by social distancing, masks, twice weekly testing and other processes must be embraced and I have no qualms with that stance. That said, Assumption has a policy disallowing all resident students from leaving campus, except in the most narrow of circumstances. Even doctor visits have been challenging for students and have required parental intervention before being approved. The mental health of many are suffering due to this policy. All the while, staff, administrators, vendors, security and all commuting students are allowed to come and go at will on a daily basis. The school professed in a recent letter that "commuting students have not led to an increase in virus transmission". If that is true, why then aren't the remainder of the students allowed to follow those same policies as long as they abide by standard protocols? As we have all experienced, human interaction and cautious freedom of movement are all part of a human being's wellness. Our child and many others, are being made to suffer by the university's, inflexible, extreme policy. If that policy were uniformly enforced for everyone attending Assumption, it might be easier to accept. Seeing hundreds of people come and go on a daily basis, while others are literally suffering in silence is devastating as a parent and as a human being with empathy. The school and its president are not available and open to communicate on this subject either. A recent post I submitted to the Facebook group, written respectfully and thoughtfully was disallowed. A recent Zoom call was held to address student concerns and the administrators kept attendees muted, disallowed cameras and didn't provide the ability to interact and genuinely communicate two ways. College is supposed to teach kids how to think for themselves, form opinions and demonstrate their independence. It's part of the educational package, which is not purely an exercise in passing tests. Assumption continually follows a pattern of carefully controlled communications instead of embracing a diversity of thought. I am a working professional and have been impacted by covid same as everyone in the world. My company has changed its policies and the situation is ever evolving. That said, I am not aware of any other walk of life, where coming/going is all but disallowed. Even prisoners are allowed familial visits, with safety protocols followed. If a student had a toothache, nobody would prevent him/her from seeking relief, but for anyone suffering depression, anxiety and mental anguish in part because they cannot simply blow off steam by meeting their parents for breakfast is told to 'stay resilient'. I drove an hour to watch the football game today. The email sent to the opposing team (us) said "All guests must be fully vaccinated, over the age of 12 years old, etc…. I am sure I was not and won't be the last person to misunderstand that statement as being "Anyone 12 and over has to be vaccinated" and not understood as "Children under 12 are not allowed". While written properly, this was extremely deceiving compared to the rules posted on your site (which I decided to search after the fact) that says CLEARLY no one under 12 will be allowed on campus. My 3 year old who is not even PERMITTED to be vaccinated and who was thoroughly looking forward to coming to the game was in tears when we had to turn around and go back home. My family has gone to almost all of the football games this season in various states and not once has there been such strict, unreasonable rules about an OUTDOOR event. Experience PART ONE. Experience PART TWO- When I pulled on to the campus, the security guard asked if I had a guest pass. I said No. He said, "OK then, pull up the hill and you'll see the main parking." I proceeded to do so. Less than 5-10 minutes after I pulled in, my father in-law pulled in and was asked the same question. Do you have a guest pass? He answered No. The exact same answer as I. Help me understand why he was told he couldn't proceed through the gate but I, who answered with the same exact answer, was allowed to pass? First of all, neither one of us should have been allowed to pass because we, again, had not been required to "register" to attend a game AT ANY OTHER SCHOOL this season. But secondly, I am a 35 year old Caucasian female and he is an older black male. You must understand that the rules that applied to him and didn't apply to me looks really, REALLY bad on behalf of your school. ALMOST DONE… These rules stated on your site which as I said I searched after the fact say, "In addition to being fully vaccinated, guests must follow current Assumption University health protocols, including the current mask wearing policy. Lastly, at this time tailgating of any sort is not allowed on campus." Since your guard so kindly allowed me to pass the gate without a guest pass, I was able to go onto the campus and see a designated parking lot FULL of Assumption tailgaters, NOT social distanced and NOT wearing masks. So basically what I understood from this is AGAIN the rules that apply to the visiting team did not apply to the Home team. And to close… "all guests must register to come to campus five days prior to arrival.." Five days prior… Is it realistic to think that the friends AND family of the visiting teams would even THINK that they'd have to go "REGISTER" to attend the next game only two days after their last game after watching games ALL season without any issue?? I can only hope and pray that you look into all of the above and not just disregard the happenings surrounding my TERRIBLE experience today at your school. Thank you! And congratulations on your Team win. I hope it was the encouragement of your home team fans that really gave your team the push. Your great efforts to keep out visiting spectators worked. Oh and I forgot to add, my father in-law and our family friend who was with him are Military Veterans so to hear on the virtual viewing of the game that you all were celebrating "Military Appreciation Day" really put the cherry on top.Bonnie Senecal

The service at Taylor's dining hall is horrible and so is the quality of food. It doesn't even deserve 1 star. In my many experiences visiting my sister and eating here, they always close early and never have any food for those who have allergies. I'm allergic to gluten and the only option I have are carrots and hamburgers, in which most of the time I can't eat with having to go up 700 time to ask for more. I paid $12 to eat at an all you can eat buffet and I get to eat not even enough to count as a snack. If you try to ask for more the first time they will say no and then if you even want to have a small conversation while eating the first helping, they will be closed and take away all the food. Also the events for the family weekends and everything suck and are a waste of money. You have more chances of having fun if you just stay home and sleep.MacKenzie

I have graduated with five degrees from four different universities in Pittsburgh ranging from Bachelor to Doctorate degrees. I can honestly state that Duquesne was my favorite school. I received a higher quality of education and benefitted more from the smaller classes which are not offered by other schools. Most of my educators actually cared about their students and were not at all condescending (ok, there were a couple). Duquesne costs a bit more, but it was worth it. The campus is great. The classrooms; halls; and grounds are clean, traditional, and safe. My child chose to go to another school, but I would sleep better knowing that was living on campus at Duquesne rather than an apartment in Oakland. The only criticism I have is Duquesne has become more noticeably politically liberal than other Catholic schools. I’m ok with limited expression of personal liberal or conservative views, but I am disappointed when those views become a driver for the facility and administration to influence students. Some of those views have reached national attention which lowers my annual donations to the school.Jerry

We went for a campus tour today and absolutely fell in love with the campus. We are from the Pittsburgh area and I never expected the campus to be as big and charming as it is. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and the student:teacher ratio (14:1) with an average class size of 28 was a major bonus. The dorms are 2 bed frames with a desk and closet for each roommate with 2 drawers under the bed as well. They're spacious and clean. They have an amazing 4 floor workout building with every piece of equipment you could ever need! It truly is a hidden gem right in the downtown area. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still close enough to enjoy downtown amenities. I don't see how any other college could top this!!Melanie Phillips

A well known midsized eastern university. Good mix of commuter students and full time students living on campus. Known for programs in pharmacy. education, and music. I heard that USD is an excellent private university. They have highly accredited teaching, law, technology, language, environmental and psychology schools, as well as a number of others. I also heard that their physical education school is quite good. USD is one of our nation's top rated colleges in regards to higher education and just to get admitted, you must score fairly high on the SAT ( Taking the ACT can always helps too ) and presenting the admissions evaluation committee with a high school GPA that shows that you were in the top percentile of your graduating class is very beneficial; it also helps to have done some volunteer work and to have been on at least one or two high school committees. All of these combined together should help you gain admission to USD. This college is quite competitive-as are most of our best colleges nowadays. Most of USD's professors are seasoned-the best in our country-and very demanding; graduating in four years means a lot of hard work and can be a wearisome task and often taking a couple of summer session classes or a class or two during Christmas break can help one graduate within this time scale. They do offer scholarships however, these are difficult to get and student loans ( Federal Educational Grants can easily surpass fifty-thousand dollars a year! USD's tuition is at the high end of the scale, especially if you live off of campus ( The City of San Diego is amongst the ten highest priced "cost of living" metropolitan areas in the USA ). There are hundreds of nice condominiums, townhouses and apartments within the surrounding area however, the rental rates for a one to four bedroom unit start at about $900 to $1200 per room ( living together ) per month or about $2200 for a two bedroom townhouse/apartment, to $3500+ for a three to four bedroom ; I'm just giving you a general idea…it's a might expensive to live anywhere in San Diego. USD has many of the most beautifully designed buildings in San Diego; architectural masterpieces. Tourists who come to visit San Diego often include this private university in their sightseeing itinerary, as the photographic opportunities around this campus are simply marvelous; especially on a clear winter day from about early afternoon to sunset. They have a small visitors center, as you drive through their main entrance center and if you get lost, you should stop and ask a couple of students and they may be able to help you? There's a lot to see, including San Diego's famed Tecalote State Park, which lies just below the north side of this university.charles chiles

The campus is pretty. The teachers, at least those who are fluent in English, are mediocre, and those whose English language skills are very poor, are token so this campus can brag about being diverse. The dorms are so noisy that it is impossible to do any work in one's own room or get any sleep before 3 a.m. The people responsible for policing the dorms are too lazy and callously indifferent to do anything, and no matter how many complaints are made, it is a nightmare to live in the dirty, smelly and horribly noisy dorms. The religious classes, which are mandatory, are a total waste of time and not based on any accurate facts or historical accuracy. The head of the Student Health Center is dishonest and harmful, willing to smear any student she takes a hatred to. There are no responsible administrative officers to be found if you have a problem. This is not the place if you care about getting a solid and admirable education.Susan Lea

The University accepted my son to the credential program August 2011. After 2 years and more than $32000 in tuition he is not being allowed to do his student teaching because, in the opinion of some professors, he lacks the skills they require. These professionals (who demand that the credential candidates be able to reach and teach all students no matter what their learning styles or disabilities) should be knowledgeable enough to bring out the best in a young man who has wanted to be a teacher since in the seventh grade he was chosen by his teacher to tutor other students in reading. The professionals who are standing in the way of his dream need to evaluate their own teaching. What did they do to ensure my son's success in their program? What can they teach others when they themselves have failed as teachers?Mark Leonard

If you are a parent thinking of sending your kid here, or a student thinking about attending….DON’T!! Unless you are a parent that likes getting calls once a week that they just heard gunshots or someone they knew was robbed or had their car broken into. Or if you’re a student that doesn’t want to leave campus without wearing a bulletproof vest. They might as well pick this place up and drop it in the middle of Baghdad. Your kid would probably safer. Many of my professors didn’t take me seriously because I didn’t follow their beliefs. In one of their classes I failed because, “since you didn’t grow up in a catholic family you’ll never get it.” I was trying as hard as I could, SI’s, tutors, everything, but as soon as the professor knew I was atheist I felt extremely ostracized, not only from the student body but from the staff as well. Rockhurst has a beautiful campus in Kansas City. It is a smaller college campus and it is located close to the Plaza. Although I haven't personally taken classes, I have been told it is a good experience. They are partnering with St Luke's for the nursing program. The security officers that I've encountered have been super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend checking out this college.Kimber Mata

Such a terrible experience trying to just consider registering, that I am now no longer interested. I called to make an appointment with an academic adviser. I was put on hold for 20 mins without ever speaking to a human or given any other option. After 20 minutes, I hung up and called the main number. She said, "well, I can't do much, but they have direct number I can transfer you to." So, she transferred me. To some random faculty member in some department I had no interest in. That person was very nice and told me she'd walk my request over, and have someone call me back from advising. They did call me back to set up an appointment, which we did. However, I was driving and couldn't write down the details, so she assured me she would email me all the info. Of course, I never received the info. So, I just called to cancel my appointment. The overwhelming impression I got was one of incompetence, inefficiency, and that the right had didn't know what the left had was doing. Oh, and it's a half hour wait on the phone to even speak to the right hand. I was a new student, contemplating studying here. But after the way I was dealt with on the phone on my very first interaction, I now have ZERO interest in attending, and will continue my search for a school that has its act together, and knows what they are doing. I have had nothing but Positive Experiences since I have been at Edmonds Community College for the last 4 months now. I am going through the Workfirst Program at the Gateway Bldg. They had me go through the Solid Foundations Course & a College Sucess course. before I started my summer courses of Math, English; Critical Writing, & another 2-credit Write class. All of the Instructors that I have had are amazing, they helped me in every aspect of figuring out what I wanted to take by different surveys & then they help to walk you through getting your all of your Financial Documents in order & get registered for all of my classes over the next 2-years while I am working on my Degree. Very Diverse Community & everyone is so nice & helpful.Angel Boekelman

Your Education has gone elsewhere. Programs last year were changed invalidating most of my credits. Classes they used to offer in Math and Sciences are no longer being offered despite having brand new facilities just built. It is going through a strategic pivot from a transfer and foreign exchange college to a "social improvement" center.
