Please do not attend this school for it's transition to teaching graduate program. The professors did not prepare for their classes and provided low quality education to the point that I could not justify continuing with this program after paying in over $4,000. When attempting to get them to appeal the final $800 for the semester I left the program they simply refused to give any leeway or acknowledge and error on their part and sent me collections with an additional $350 fee. With no recourse beyond their own appeals process that unsurprisingly found no problem on their end, all I can do is complain on their review boards. On the plus side, the do have a beautiful campus and I can not in anyway speak to the quality of their undergraduate program.Daniel Gore

While well established as a great Franciscan university, Marian remains up-and-coming in terms of their MAT program for teachers. I had a wonderful experience in terms of the contacts made and networks formed while attending. However, much remains to be done to increase the rigor and requirements for that particular degree. Still, Marian University will soon open the second medical school in the State of Indiana. They are also adding a seemingly much finer tuned doctoral education leadership program.Tim Lankford

The buildings are contemporary except for a few historical sites that were preserved. Other than that, it appears to be a great place. The people were friendly as we visited as well. I'm a vet and am finishing up my first semester at Liberty. So far I have had nothing but good experiences. I was nervous about going back to school after being in service for years, but the transition has been fairly easy with all of the help lve received.My instructors are very personable and go out of their way to help me with any problems I may run into. Professors are very professional and, unlike many schools, encourage students to form their own opinions. I have never felt as though any political agendas or doctrines were being forced upon me. Non Christians are treated equally well as everyone else, and are even welcomed to challenge or question anything they may disagree with. Divinity professors are more than willing to listen to other opinions and will clearly explain anything a non believer might want to know about Christianity. The campus itself is beautiful and full of fun things to do besides schoolwork. I am actually learning, rather than simply connecting dots to get a degree and that is exactly what I hoped for. Since I've gone to the school I've got to see politicians such as Nigel Farage and Donald Trump Jr., musicians like Jeremy Camp, sports stars like Brett Favre, world class entrepreneurs, and experts such as economists who advised the president. I’ve got one year to go to graduate from this place😭 Being a student at this university has been quite a wonderful experience. To be honest I think it’s one of the it’s not the most state of the art schools in the world. It’s impossible to get bored here. I will say though one thing about this place is that if you come here on fire for Jesus then you’ll find people on fire for Jesus but if you come here to party then you’ll find the party people so make of it what you want. Yes there’s been some drama here in the past few years but there’s drama everywhere and Liberty has been able to manage it pretty well I’d say. I absolutely love every single professor that I’ve had here, they’ve gone above and beyond to help make sure that I get an education of quality. Set up a campus tour. It was 3 hours which entailed visiting the dorms and dining areas. To include the fitness and recreation center. As well the Jerry Falwell Library and Vines Center. We walked the campus for a few hours and then we rode the bus for the remainder of the tour. Everyone was friendly. The student tour guides did an excellent job. The campus was huge. It was well maintained. They have three dorm options. One to include apartments that house seven people. Freshmen are able to bring vehicles on campus. Wide selection of dining options. Chick Fil A, Dunkin Donuts and many others. Dining options in same building as library.LaTrenda

And as you can see most reviews are "google user" so I wouldn't be surprise if the staff is actually rating the school themselves, but this school is horrible. The staff is rude, unprofessional, and could care less about the overall wellbeing of the students as long as you pay tuition. The campus police are nonexistent they partake in activities I'm almost positive should not be happening. One of my friends was assaulted and the swept the case under the rug, never filed documents, and never followed up with the case. The financial aid staff takes money from out-of-state students and applies it to in-state students accounts (ie. workstudy, loans, etc.) because that is 90% of their student population. The department staff never answer phones, emails, and their office hours are false advertisement. The bursars office has lost money and payments sent to them and their reply is "sorry" followed by never answering the phones again. They have personally lost housing payments of mine 2 years straight which resulted in me losing housing and or paying double. This school almost lost its accreditation and really they should have because half of the students don't go to class but the professors past them anyway because of their "friendships." This is by far one of the biggest mistakes and bad choices I have ever made in my life. Had I known the undermining and the unprofessionalism this school advocates I would have never committed to it. I have been here since my freshman year and due to their "credit equivalency" scheme I could not transfer. The tuition is definitely not worth the education you are paying for. The professors are more concerned with being "cool" then actually teaching and the administration staff is more concerned with being paid then actually helping the student body. I hate the school after graduating I never will return (Now I understand why Oprah didn't), I hate the staff, and the president has yet to follow up the duties of Dr. Shields who I believe made the biggest changes now TSU is back where it started from since her departure. I graduated here back in Fall 2017 with my BBA in Accounting. It's a rocky road dealing with staff; even during slow times outside of registration. I used to work in the college system, so I understand the workflow of how I am supposed to handle being a student (which offices to go to for help, who to ask help from, keeping track of specific documents I need to turn in, etc.). However, it was difficult to get help when needed. Some staff can be very rude and unhelpful if they ever answered their phone/email. I would also go to the main campus offices to try to talk to someone, and there were several occurrences where offices would be randomly closed without putting it in their voicemail or webpage. This is not helpful when you work full-time and have to take off work to go to campus. Aside from the nightmarish organization of student services, this is a really great university! Most of my professors were very passionate about their teaching, and actually showed willingness to help you if you are struggling or congratulate you if you are doing well. Going into upper-level accounting courses were tough, but rewarding, and I felt like the professors and classmates were there to support me all the way. What's also great about this university is how affordable it is. I managed to graduate here with no student loans. It's hard, but doable. I also appreciate the accreditation is the same as other local large universities. So if you are looking for an affordable and good university, check out TSU. Currently attending this school and I do not like it one bit. This school is full of some of the most racially bitter people I've ever met. On more than one occasion I've listened to discussions that include how all whites are such bad people and how cop killing to them is a good thing? I don't know what kind of stuff they're smoking but obviously it's screwing with their brains! Last semester I had 3 teachers so absorbed in politics in their class that I could hardly see through their BS to actually learn anything. I don't know why but the teachers can't seem to stop preaching how right their political party is over everyone else's. God forbid your opinions differs then you get alienated in class as the gun nut or extremist for saying something like "I don't like the President" I've actually been called racist for stating my opinion on how I don't agree with the President's policies. Funny thing is I'm not even white I'm a light skinned Hispanic but to them it doesn't matter I'm a white racist to them. So yeah this school is not welcoming at all It's sad to say this but if you're Republican you don't belong and if you're not willing to have other people's politics shoved down your throat then don't go here. School is for learning, it's not for having other people's beliefs shoved down your throat we all have different opinions and beliefs and this school fails to understand that. William Woods University is so amazing I cannot even begin to describe how much I love it. I found the University because of the fabulous Equestrian Program but have been able to find and experience so much more while attending. Having the ability to be a college athlete, a student, an equestrian, as well as involved in multiple other clubs and organizations is something that no other University offers. The Woods is truly unique, not only because of its programs, but because of the wonderful, friendly atmosphere that is felt the moment one steps on campus. School was a complete scam. The President and Financial Aid Director were in cahoots to charge all that money. Only one credit transferred. My counselor had to work to get me two. Everyone i know from there got jobs in different fields, including me. They do not help find work the Fashion Merchandise program was a joke. The head of the dept literally told me i was fine where i was at. Terrible place watch out… Added notes I was even accosted by the Financial Aid Director at my job. After seeing me I was mailed a bill saying I still owed and when I paid that's when I got two credits to transfer after two years of school. There's nothing to reach out to you about. I absolutely love SIBA! They have a supportive, nice, accommodating, and informative staff. A large number of their staff currently work in the fields that they are teaching in and they keep the curriculum interesting and current. As an older student who has done college before, I knew that I needed to get a better education and find a better job to take care of myself, but I also didn't want to invest in 4 years of schooling. She only had positive things to say about her program, her instructors, and the quality of the education she received. Harvard is one of the most prestigious universities in the World and every one wishes to visit it once in a life time. I had this chance to go there and walk around this beautiful institute. The good thing is that it is open for all and everyone could go around and visit. I saw many tourists there enjoying walking and taking photos. I loved the library and the story behind it. Unfortunately wasn’t able to go inside but would have loved to. First off, in the interest of full disclosure, I am a member of the class of ’75, so this is a truly ancient reflection. I transferred from a junior college in Fla. so I could continue my Aerospace major and receive a Bachelor’s degree. It was a wise decision. Classes were sized right, instructors truly dedicated and the people friendly. I have nothing but fond memories and good things to say about my experience. So what has happened in Murfreesboro since then? Well, according to the more recent alums I have talked to and this website, lots. To you who are now attending, my gosh I wish I had it so good. Dig up some old pics taken of the campus in the 70s. Notice any improvements? And the Aerospace Program- night and day difference. In short MTSU is doing a better job of educating its students and providing for their needs. Oh, to be young again. Of course it does seem there are some real issues that need to be addressed. The complaints about inept administration are distressing. Worse was the comment about crime- knife and gun- yikes! And then there is the common complaint running through all colleges (at least the ones my kids went to). Advisors don’t keep the students on track and the necessary courses aren’t available when they are needed. No excuses regarding the course availability, but by the time a student is a junior they should be able to read the college handbook and figure out what they need to graduate. I mean if they can’t … So, MT, as I believe you now like to call yourself, you have taken many steps forward and a few steps back. Keep up the good work.Al Phillips

Love this campus! There are good and bad professors, they have a lot of food choices, they have activities and events on campus all year around, the advisors in the Psychology department are very helpful especially Amy Foster, they also have a gym/rec center, just so much I like on the campus. There is only one thing I dislike is the parking…there is a lot of handicap parking and a lot in parking lots that are far away from classes that I noticed hardly anyone uses, and I feel it’s taking up a lot of space in the parking lots. Also they need to do Something about the parking in the MTSU lot a so that not a lot of water drains to the middle of the lot where people can’t park due to getting their shoes wet or getting stuck and fix the pot holes in that lot too! I attended class at MTSU last semester. Let me start by saying good luck during registration. I spend HOURS wasting my time to get told things were completer that weren't. I was required to pay extra fees because the school told me I could not begin classes unless I paid because of a mistake they made. During the middle of the semester I took a new job. I had to withdrawal from a class. I was told I would receive 25% of my paid tuition as a refund. This did NOT happen. No one is on the same page at this facility! I will be transferring schools due to my experience. I will state that the professors were good! Everything that happened negative had nothing to do with them. If you choose to go to school here, make sure people are not telling you what you want to hear. Make sure you double check everything!Michael Counter

I appreciate Rasmussen University for having an abundance of resources and many professors and other staff members who demonstrate they want students to succeed. I especially have enjoyed being a peer educator, being privileged to work with Tammy Hopps who is an excellent supervisor and leader, and also being able to work with other peer educators who care for their peers as much as I do. I transferred from a local state college, which I considered sticking with to save money, but in reality, not much is saved when you compare the timeframe for graduation. At the state college it would take me an extra 2 whole years to receive my BSN, whereas at Rasmussen I save 2 years of time because of their second-degree BSN option. I am very pleased with the quality of technology – at the state school blackboard and other resources were slow and did not work as well on my cell phone, whereas with Rasmussen I can easily access everything I need from my phone when I'm on the go. It's inspiring to see so many single parents and married parents in school, some of which also work full time or part time like myself while completing their degree. I had such high hopes when enrolling at this school. However my experience hasn't been favorable at all. I am a current student and I was disappointed because even though I was able to enroll and start classes I really felt unsupported on this journey. I'm realizing Rasmussen may not be the school for me. I REALLY thought I would be supported and encouraged. I was made to feel that Rasmussen would be rooting for me through my academic journey. Instead I am bombarded with emails and calls telling me what I already know… I owe money. No calls or emails about how I can be helped to budget so that I can pay more toward the balance. I'm only being told: what I owe, to get the balance down to $500-$1000 and to take out loans; which will only put me in debt and it's too early to be taking out loans when I've been in school since September of 2021 and have 2 more years. Also this school doesn't cater to single parents, limited income and individuals that HAVE to work. This school ONLY has day classes for the nursing program and as I said before I HAVE to work full time.Sherria Clark

This morning I called the university for the North Orlando Campus for the Nursing program and spoke to the director of Nursing who was discusstingly rude on the phone. I called to get information, He had no patience and told me Not to proceed a career in Nursing because it was Not for me. Absolutely horrendous. I originally rated the school at 3 stars while I was attending but now that it's over they deserve as few stars as possible. The pros: great Art, Philosophy, and Engineering Technology programs. The cons: pretty much everything else. Parking is a joke. After gouging you on price for a sticker they intentionally oversell (e.g. 130 stickers for 100 spots) they often ticket and/or tow regardless of whether you've got the sticker displayed. Food services is equally asinine. The staff and workers are all friendly and mostly competent but the selection and hours of availability are poor at best and any meal or plan is horrendously overpriced. The computer science department (both professors) recently quit and were replaced with whatever they could find in the bargain bin. The math department, while surprisingly helpful and personable, is woefully underfunded. Maybe the new president will fix things but my time (and a sizable amount of money) has already been wasted.Eric Lawson

My daughter was a freshman here. She got in a little trouble a misdemeanor and was immediately voted off campus and 2 year suspension and even tho she did not have operaters license or transportation. She was told she had to evacuate dorm even without transportation. This policy is the worse school policy i ever seen. I will be talking with Ky. State dept. Of Education. I had one daughter graduate and had a wonderful experience at the school . My other daughter graduates in December and is in the music Dept. She sings in the choir and in the musicals they have . It is a school that seems close knit with the students and cares about there future .Bobby webb

My understanding is that they are chosen based on their ability to teach, rather than what research they are doing (which I'm told is the major criteria for hiring professors at 4 year universities). The only negative experience here, has been some minor harassing by the business office about tuition payment. This is somewhat understandable, but my frustration is due to having already spoken with the office about when I will pay, but I'm still receiving constant reminders to do so. That really is minor though and I would recommend this school to anyone. Very friendly and helpful teachers, cafeteria workers (food is decently priced to) and custodial staff. This college is the worst colleges in the history of Chicagoland and I thought that the teachers care more about students with special needs and disabilities as well but it seems like they don’t really care about disabilities students like us who struggle through catching up with some homework assignment on blackboard and has to be submitted by those instructor which they never graded it at all over the past two months or so I had a terrible experience of being part of this school which is too far compared to where I’m live at now every day I always take three buses and two train like the red line train to the blue line train and a extra bus to get there but always get there very late and the students from there are so sarcastic and not really friendly that much often. Lovely campus, with almost 9000 acres! Huge trees and grand lawns frame Gothic architecture which themselves house state-of-the-art labs and lecture halls. When you read the reviews that say staff ignores students believe them. They rarely answer the phones, do not return phone calls, and rarely respond to emails either. It only gets worse once you are enrolled. You are a student ID number and a tuition fee. I wish I was lying when i say my English teacher has not graded any writing assignments this semester until yesterday after I spoke with the dean and lost my temper (3 weeks to end of semester). This was my first (and last) semester here, I had enrolled in online classes and transferred credits from a community college in Tennessee, being a working adult. If you are just jumping through the hoops to have a degree under your belt and don't care if you actually learn anything, its a fine place to do that. if you expect to get the education you are paying for to increase your knowledge base and be better prepared for your future, this is the wrong place. I feel really bad for the recent high school grads and others from the local school systems who have not had exposure to quality education to be able to tell the difference and recognize that they are being short changed/taken advantage of, and its the students who will suffer from being under-prepared, not the college or the instructors. Pitt Community College has not been a good experience for me at all. I received no help from the financial aid office, they told me they could do nothing for me unless I had a parent present even though I am 20 years old and am completely independent from them and they love in a whole other state. Don't even get me started on the "advisor" situation there. I was assigned to a "success navigator" not an advisor and he had no idea what he was doing. His name is Clark Howerton. Being a first generation college student, I needed guidance so I went to him. He offered me 0 help at all. I was then transferred to a "real" advisor during my 3rd semester there. She again offered no help. I had to email her 2 times over the course of a week, so that I was finally able to get a response. Instructors told me that she was not a good advisor… so why is she one? Because of these mistakes through pitt, I am falling behind in my academic schedule. Would not recommend this institution to anyone.Presley Bryant

I am very disappointed at this school. I'm about halfway through my online RN-BSN program and I have always worked hard on all my courses. I have managed to maintain a 4.0 GPA up to now, but I don't know how this is going to continue. It has never been easy to do schoolwork while working as a nurse and having family and obligations at home, but I have always done it. The syllabus for the new course starting a week from now outlines a tremendous amount of work. I mean, several weeks will have 4 assignments. This is the opposite of what they advertise online and everywhere. This is not a university for people who are working and trying to balance work, life, and a degree. This is called false advertising. I agree with another reviewer who said, if you want to work yourself to death and not see your family, and not have any time at all for anything else but school – this is the school for you. I'm very disappointed at realizing the amount of work and these many assignments every week. Like I said, I'm not one that is trying to slack and procrastinate, and not do any work, and still get a degree. That is absolutely not me. I'm a hard worker but I still need to sleep at least a few hours a day, and work, and care for my family, and work on school. It is not only school in people's lives. Yes, it is important to get a degree, but there is not only school in life. When they advertise "manageable coursework, this is the school where people who work and can get their degree, at SNHU students have a good school/life balance" Please, stay away and do not believe it. It is not true. The amount of work for this 3-credit course of an undergraduate degree is absolutely insane. I must say that this is not a capstone course. Not sure I will be as successful this term. Very disappointed. I e-mailed my advisor about my concerns. Received an email that basically minimizes my all my concerns and generalizes "I know that all students make sacrifices to get their degrees." "Deans, students, and instructors know that this course is very heavy." Sorry. I am stuck now that I'm halfway through but if you have a choice, look for another university. I regret not choosing Capella University. Very disappointed. Other negative aspects are the fact that instructors want you to follow the rubric, but they don't understand it themselves. Poor communication when you ask for clarification. Poor feedback that fails to point out what to correct. Inconsistencies in grading. The most repetitive assignments that you can ever think of. They require you to repeat the same thing 20 times on the same paper in order to generate more pages or to make the assignment longer. Do yourself a favor and reconsider your choices.cubamorena

I received my bachelors degree in 2020 from SNHU. This experience was not horrible. I decided to continue having researched both SNHU and MSU for my MBA in Project Management. First couple of classes went very well and very smooth. Hit a class where the instructor passed off that they have zero authority over assignments and can’t deter from the rubric. Ok not what was asked but asked for clarification of coachback notes as they were written in a way you can’t understand, referenced things not about my personal paper and instructor couldn’t even expand on what to correct. I can handle criticism but if I need clarification isn’t that what an instructor is for? Not one question asked was answered. Went through the dispute process and the university of course refused to help or do anything. Why would they take ownership and accountability??? And they actually concurred with the notes provided by the instructor that even my advisor mentioned was not clear and not how she as an instructor would reply to a student. This university is absolutely not with using for a graduate degree. I am stuck since I am over 1/2 way done. Wouldn’t make sense to change schools now. Heed my warnings. Run!!David Voelker

The process of enrolling is very outdated and inconvenient. You don’t have a actually portal like most schools do that you watch your process flow. You have to send it photocopy of id, a utility bill, and notarized document. They requested a notarized document to verify my address then told me I couldn’t upload it, that it had to be mailed. The only reason I found out that document had to be mailed is when I called to ask why it couldn’t be uploaded. Their process is outdated and very inconvenient and really not consistent. I wouldn’t recommend this school for anyone just because of the process now it puts me in the predicament to find a new school to start at the last minute.Trice Bruce

I’ve been doing Penn Foster online schooling for almost a whole year now. I’ve found this online experience a great one. They are very helpful in all ways possible. I’ve called a few time and their stuff is helpful and kind. They help so much with the questions you ask and reassurance you need. You go at your own past, fast, or as slow as you want. I’ve struggled so much in the past with schools , I’ve been to over 6+ schools and I started at the point have an IEP/ taking classes for it. Penn Foster online High School, has helped me understand so much and I love how I can learn at my own past. The price is also reasonable. I can stay up till 3AM and do my work. I’ve finished a class in a whole week at times. I’d stay really hard. Not only that Penn Foster always keeps you up to date on thing that are happening with your account. I am the mother of two students at Penn Foster who just graduated. They are 15 and 17 years of age. They were placed in Penn Foster due to being bullied by teachers at their local school. My oldest enrolled with 0 credits in Oct of 2019 and my youngest enrolled with 7 credits in June of 2020. My oldest graduated Dec 07, 2020 and my youngest graduated Dec 23. 2020. They loved that they could go as slow or as fast as the wanted. They loved not having a schedule or having to have any interactions with teachers. Their overall experience was great. I have one more student, my 16 year old step-daughter working on it now. She's 41% done. We also have a 14 year old who will be enrolling once done with 8th grade. Although this is a Nationally Accredited school most Regionally Accredited colleges and university will be able to transfer most of your credits. That is if you are taking a degree program and not a diploma program. After obtaining some super computer skills from Remington College my career path has changed completely. Remington College can give a person the skills necessary to go out and dominate in the workforce over those that simply have a general education background from some American public school. I would definitely recommend Remington College to those that think traditional universities will not work for them.Daniel White

I'm currently having one of the worst experiences ever! I was completely unaware of being enrolled in online classes once the pandemic started. I never spoke with anyone or confirmed this was ok. I specifically chose on campus classes due my struggle with specific subjects. I was unaware until an instructor contacted me. I emailed advising and was removed from the class I was still charged and a hold was put on my account. I have never talked to or discussed classes with anyone for the fall and i am also scheduled and charged for those classes as well. Now i'm told i have to file an appeal to try to have the balance and the hold removed and i cant remove the fall classes until the balance is cleared. Every time I speak with anyone i'm forwarded to someone or a dept. that cant help or explain!Christi Chavis

While I'd love to give a better review, I have to be honest. If you are utilizing veteran services, prepare for a ridiculous amount of wait time. There's never anyone online via chat and when you call if someone answers, it becomes a series of transference to different people or "I'll have someone contact you." This poses an issue as a current student attempting to be successful in class. I am finding it impossible to get a return address for a delivery I received containing 2 bottles of your CBD oil and 2 packets of the CBD gummy bears which was delivered to me by Hermes. I initially wanted to cancel the order but was informed that I could not. I did not realise the total price of these items and then my shock at finding out I was calling USA as I am in Scotland UK. I really don’t like to write bad reviews about any business. However, if I can use my terrible experience as a warning to others, I’ve done my part. The fact is that this is the worst law office to obtain for an injury case. Maybe they are better at the other services they offer, but do yourself a favor and go with another attorney. No one calls you to update you or even answer your calls. It’s been months, and I have YET to receive a return call from anyone. They give you the runaround by having you speak to office assistants who only answer general questions that you already know. If I could give negative stars, I would.
