I graduated here with my associate's degree in Leadership. 60 of my credits transferred from NWTC to Concordia University of Wisconsin. I preferred the video conference classes. My son is currently attending the school. I was a student there back in the early 80's. The campus is very nice. Helpful faculty, variety of courses and majors. The test center employees explained everything thoroughly and the center itself was quiet enough to take my exam. I recently finished my second Technical degree for Metal Fabrication as a returning student. I delayed going back to school for years for lots of reasons, but mostly because I thought it would be as awful of an experience as High School was. Instead the teachers in my program were excellent. I was always challenged by the projects and supported in my learning in equal measure. If you're looking to get into welding or Metal Fabrication, these programs are career fields that need people, pay well, and you can learn them here! Don't sleep on the trade skills that can be taught here. Go to the open houses, see if these are things you're interested in doing. Very nice tech college. Almost everyone you come across on campus can point you in the right direction. I just started school today online. But tomorrow I get to go to campus. It's a clean sanitary environment. There is currently some remodeling going on, so part of the building you cannot access… yet! AC was on, felt awesome. temperature didn't change much room to room either. All the employees seem to know their job very well and are willing to help. I chose Madison Area Technical College because I know many people that have graduated and successfully got into a job they wanted. This school is also smaller than UW Madison so I feel like the learning experience is better, more hands on, more participation versus a large school such as UW Madison.Shane Toycen

The good profs here are all just professors moonlighting from UW Madison, I'd honestly say you should apply to and go to literally any other UW system school before here. The quality of education isn't bad- but they somehow managed to misplace finances and put 650 bucks into collections randomly – without mailing me any notifications, and without a notifications on the online portal. You won't get competency from any of the administrative staff, expect 5 week long waits to see a counselor for any sort of urgent need. If you are a student with a disability – make sure you have additional copies of any medical documentation, they will claim to lose it. Most of the education staff despises the administrative staff and yeah, I can see why.Bee

I have had an amazing experience with Herzing University! I am excelling in my degree choice and I couldn't be more satisfied with my learning experience and the flexibility that the online program gives me.The instructors are all willing to help whenever I have a question, and if they see many students struggling with something, they will post an announcement with some helpful tips on how to proceed through our courses. The learning material is easy to understand, the discussion boards really help me connect with my classmates more than I normally would, the library is full of everything you might need for your studies, and the Coach rooms and Tutoring center are very helpful! I have seen many posts off and on about how students struggled in this school. I have to say the most common thing I see students struggling from in these courses is not doing the assigned work on time, not participating in the discussions, and not following the assigned directions on assignments. We have to take responsibility and do our work (on time!) or we will not succeed, and we should not blame someone else for our lack of trying. Just with everything else in life, if you do not put any effort into something, you will not gain anything from it. At that time, school was still establishing itself, therefore, I had some rough time getting through the program, but overall my experience was good. Affordable for gen eds but for a technical college they have some of the worse tech issues I have every seen my I have seen middle schools with better technical support. Do not take there advice on what laptop to buy since I was told to buy a Microsoft brand laptop but I needed to add every chrome extension needed to even access half the course material. Let's just say I'm no spring chicken. I got my Industrial electrical apprenticeship at the age of 46 and at the age of 50 I graduated. It was not an easy thing for me. But the program was excellent and they gave me alot of skills I use everyday at my job. I am in my sixth week taking online courses at MATC. I have chosen the IT Support Associate Degree program, for two reasons: One the program is only two years, I’ll be able to launch into the job market faster, and because IT is such a diverse, and fast growing career path, I know I will find a fit into the IT world upon graduation. I chose MATC because MATC is convenient and conventional. I can take classes online, at my own pace, and be on campus for the classes I need more focus and dedication to. This IT program combined with my 10 plus years customer service experience, I know I will be able to reach any career goal I set. Now, while my interest in computers and knack for problem solving I know this career path will be suitable for me, however, to any prospective student looking for a quick money type of career, this program is not for you. This program consists of lots of physical and mental work, also taking consideration of the customers you are serving. If a prospective student welcomes challenges and is comfortable with asking questions and not feeling intimidated by the mass amount of information you will retain then this is a program for you. Prospective students should also be aware that they don’t have to work or figure stuff out alone, one of my favorite accommodations is having access to tutoring, whether online or in person- at all campuses. Fellow future students should also know that acquiring their degree at MATC is a smart money move, students can save thousands of dollars getting their education here, as opposed to a four year college/university. I choose this program because I want to go more in depth with technology. Everyone uses technology every day. I would like to be able to assist those who are not tech savvy. MATC I.T support program has a great path program. Pathway allows you get a few certificates take a break and come back for your diploma. My experience in MATC IT Computer Support Specialist program is limited but good so far. I chose to pursue this degree because it lines up well with my current work experience and career goals. So far, I have been able to take all my classes online with no scheduled class times, so I can complete assignments at my own pace without interfering with my work schedule. I transferred here from another college and honestly it was the best decision I could have made for myself. Herzing works with many different aspects of my life. Specifically, the Kenosha campus although a bit of a drive from home, I absolutely love this place. The front desk staff always says hello when I walk in the door, the nursing staff has been so helpful and always willing to meet and help work with me. And honestly, I’m blown away by the administration (the campus president, the Dean of Nursing, and the Dean of Education). They are honestly what makes this University what it is. They always are there for you, door open, willing to listen and to be a resource/guide for you, to help you to work through issues your having. I decided to choose Herzing to learn Insurance Billing and Coding because they offered classes online, but here were also campuses close to my home. I wasn't sure if I could be successful in juggling my family, a stressful full time job and school. Herzing is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. My online advisor has been there to guide me through many questions. The online educators have been excellent as well. I also have to mention that there are Librarians, and Academic coaches all there to help achieve success! Someone is always there to help me! I went there over 30 years ago to study Court Reporting. It was an intense program, and I wasn't able to keep up the pace, so I had to leave. Unless you are committed to constant practice & study, this is not the school for you. You must pass each speed plateau in order to move on to the next level, and you only have limited chances to do that. The program (in my day) was designed to get you out in the job market quickly. As our children have launched out on their own they have worked with the ever changing circumstances of that process with expertise and much patience and graciousness. I hired Tracey in March of 2020 for help with a criminal case. Because of Covid restrictions, they only allowed us to talk on the phone. Since we had paid $10,000, we said that we would wait for an in person meeting. They took small chunks of money for just having the case which was ok with me. Our attorney Vince met in person with us in October of 2020. We had about an hour meeting. He asked us questions about the case that he had for 6 months by this point. He told us that we could possibly do a retrial. We had a phone meeting in November of 2020. In this meeting we asked Vince about the retrial. For almost every question, he said he would have to consult Tracey. This is when we asked to have a meeting with her. He said that we could schedule it before Christmas. No contact was made about the case in December 2020 or January 2021. This is when we decided to leave this law firm. In February of 2021 I decided to withdraw the case. Tracey then kept calling me and she also said her attorney had never told her we wanted a meeting. She also told us the $10,000 dollars was used. Of all the reviews I read stating do NOT go here for ADN, I have to advise the same for BSN. Run away! The program is so disorganized and only a small amount of the professors know what is going in. You have to teach yourself almost everything (which for the amount you’re paying in tuition I find downright terrible), which is where I will talk about the ATI testing they do. I went 3 semesters in this program without any type of exposure to this ATI testing to during my 4th semester having 3 ATI final exams that were worth 9% of the grade. One of my classes had around 30 people and only 5 of those 30 people passed the ATI exam. The rest of us lost out on 9% of our grade because we failed the ATI test. That 9% is the difference between passing and failing miserably. A letter grade or two if I must. Don’t dare try to fight the ATI bologna they have set up, because you will be ignored, or you will be told you did not study enough. I emailed the dean of nursing about this ATI testing and so did a few of my colleagues. We were all ignored. I requested to meet with the dean face to face to talk about this, and again I was ignored. The school and their staff will NOT own up to their mistakes, instead it’s always the students fault. One of the three ATI finals I had to take was a major issue due to the fact that we did not get the textbooks for this exam until halfway through the semester, which gave us no time to study DOUBLE the material for this exam. I gave my professor of that class a lot of respect because they really fought for these books. The school couldn’t seem to care less because we were constantly given the run around, yet the other two lecture sections of this course had their books!! We were set up to fail. This school is awful. They rob you and their “life prep” slogan is a scam. You do not get prepared for anything. If you are considering Bryant & Stratton for nursing, run away. Go somewhere else. Just Incase you, the reader are not convinced that this school is all about the money, here is some proof: I left the nursing program after the semester ended on December 18. I got a letter on December 26 stating that I have to pay my student loans back!!! (As if I didn’t already know….I signed the MPN, I know I have to give back what I borrowed). Three days later on December 29, I finally got a letter stating that they noticed I was not coming back. BSC only cares about money, so do not go here. Go somewhere that is credible and well established.Stacy

Don’t believe all the fake reviews on here or the multitude of 5 stars with no written reviews. They’ve clearly been written by employees and probably paid people to write them. This is one of the shadiest “colleges” I’ve ever been to. I was in the nursing program and our class had 68 students. Only 6 people graduated. Everyone else flunked out of the program and it wasn’t because they were dumb or stupid. The curriculum is set up for you to fail. Only a college that cares about money would schedule half of its students to take a med/surg clinical and pharmacology on the exact same day, 20 minutes apart. That’s not even the worst part! The first 5 exams for both classes were scheduled the exact same days. Anyone that’s taken either class knows that these are difficult classes and the exams were extremely long. Half of my graduating class failed one or both courses that semester, including me. None of us won our appeals and instead were “allowed” to enter the medical assistant program for $30,000. You know how long it would take you to pay off that loan on a medical assistant salary?!?! When I appealed, I was never asked to write a letter or met with the dean. I requested an appeal and was immediately denied. The seam didn’t even have time to look up my file to see that I had a 3.8 GPA going into that semester and clearly there was something wrong. The vast majority of instructors were highly unqualified. A couple of my “professors” didn’t have degrees and I knew them from when I waited tables a couple of years before. One professor almost killed a patient by forcing a student to inject the wrong medication. That same instructor went off on me at a hospital because I was spending too much time with my patients. Don’t waste your time or your hard earned money because realistically, most of the people that enter the RN program won’t graduate. For the price, you’re better off going to Cardinal Stritch, MSOE or Marquette. They prey on the financially disadvantaged, promising a degree and amazing salaries, which is a lie. If you shoppped around, you would find that this is one of the most expensive colleges in the area. If you don’t believe me, read all of the negative reviews and you’ll find that there’s truth in what I’m writing.Valor Aquaponics

Do NOT go here for the ADN program! Some instructors don't know how to teach. They can't answer your questions or they read directly from the textbook for lecture. Now I know you really have to study and read your materials to become a nurse, but lectures are supposed to help students. Some instructors seem to have forgotten that. It is a fast paced program. I liked that it was under two years, but you really have to commit. I ended up having to cut back my hours at work to make time for studying and homework. The school makes you do an authentic assignment in each course. It is supposed to help you advance your studies. HAH! 99% of the assignments were a complete waste of time. The program also loves busy work. Pointless homework that doesn't help the students out. The Dean of Nursing accused the graduating class of cheating in front of guest speakers three days before the end of the semester. They do not care about your work schedule. You do not have a choice for where your clinical is. They will say they try to place you at a clinical site near your home. I ended up over one hour away from my site two semesters in a row. Class until 2100 and 0630 clinical an hour away the next morning. Fun, hey? They do not own up to their mistakes or miscommunication. The student is always wrong in their eyes.Laura Hintze

Very large campus, with I believe 35k students on average. The campus and it's buildings are very nice. Luckily, I visited before school started, so it wasn't busy at all. University of Wisconsin-Madison even has it's own ice cream shop! I believe that UWM runs it's own dairy. The path by the lake is also very beautiful, and I would recommend walking there. My only complaint is that everything seems to be very spread out, but that's a good way to get steps.Griffin May

My name is Daniel. I found out about Levine Eisberner LLC through my chiropractor who had also got into an automobile accident that was also not his fault.
