Solid school. Easy(ish) to navigate. Some of the buildings are far apart and depending on your classes you might have only 10 minutes to go all the way across campus. The staff is friendly and try to help anyone navigate the school, so don't worry! Each building is clearly labeled and maps are everywhere so it's hard to get lost. There's tons of socializing areas and seating for different gatherings. Some of the popular places would be the courtyard with the fountains or the large hill in the center of campus. The campus also has a variety of food options, so whether you want smoothies, coffee, pizza, pastries or a salad there are options all around!Zena Krimzon

They have no idea how to teach what you will need in the state of Kansas. They will use other professors lectures and do not want to answer questions or teach you. So yeah if you want to teach yourself from a book and have a bunch of assignments due constantly this is the place for you. I am taking a welding certificate so I can work in the welding workforce. I want to work for the olathe railroad welding force after college. Then maybe do some underwater welding I have not quite decided. If I do I have to take a scubadiving class to get certified in that. It's hit or miss with the staff. I'm transferring about 60 credits in from elsewhere and just needed residential credits to graduate. I've been trying to get a degree audit since I started in March. I took 6 credits in the spring, am taking 3 now and 6 more in the fall. I can't get an answer as to whether I'm in need of any credits in any areas to graduate. I never had this problem at any school. When I asked for an audit, they told me, "You just completed your first semester with us. Transfer credits are posted after the students complete a semester with us. Look for those to show this Summer or next Fall." I already completed a semester. I'm on my last 2 classes. This should've been done by now. This is how people waste thousands of dollars on classes they don't need while still coming up short for their program. It's a bad policy, and they shouldn't do that. Update: I'm about 3 weeks from graduating. Taking classes on campus rather than online makes a huge difference in satisfaction levels. I'm changing my star rating because the teachers are pretty good. I'm still a little annoyed with how unresponsive the staff was while trying to get info together for my last semester of college, but it worked out. Three more weeks of class, and I'm blowing this popsicle stand. The school is what you pay for. Some things could definitely use some improvement. I had to pull out of my fifth class, which I didn't sign up for, 2 days too late to get a refund. I wasn't even aware that I was in it till I saw an email about late assignments. I paid the amount they requested after they said it was my fault, at which point they sent me a check for that same amount and then told me that I owed it to them again. It just seems to me as if the entire process is just overcomplicated. I was furious when they signed me up for a class without informing me. I got over it, but when your going to school with a GI bill you don't have the luxury to go back and forth with classes like that. I had explicitly told them that with work, school, and family I couldn't manage more than 4. My experience with the school other than that instance has been well. The instructors have been great and the classes have been educational. The buildings themselves are "rustic" but the staff works within those confines to create the best experience possible.Timothy Taylor

I went to this school after leaving from my four year college just to save my income and somehow, this school did helped me succeed easier after getting my Associate's Degree in Computer Engineering! Both main campus and the technical education center campus are welcoming regardless of what field you're studying for. Whether you prefer day courses, online courses, or night courses, the time and budget will be worth your time as long as you maintain things properly. I'm a vet and am finishing up my first semester at Liberty. So far I have had nothing but good experiences. I was nervous about going back to school after being in service for years, but the transition has been fairly easy with all of the help lve received.My instructors are very personable and go out of their way to help me with any problems I may run into. Professors are very professional and, unlike many schools, encourage students to form their own opinions. I have never felt as though any political agendas or doctrines were being forced upon me. Non Christians are treated equally well as everyone else, and are even welcomed to challenge or question anything they may disagree with. Divinity professors are more than willing to listen to other opinions and will clearly explain anything a non believer might want to know about Christianity. The campus itself is beautiful and full of fun things to do besides schoolwork. I am actually learning, rather than simply connecting dots to get a degree and that is exactly what I hoped for. Since I've gone to the school I've got to see politicians such as Nigel Farage and Donald Trump Jr., musicians like Jeremy Camp, sports stars like Brett Favre, world class entrepreneurs, and experts such as economists who advised the president. I’ve got one year to go to graduate from this place😭 Being a student at this university has been quite a wonderful experience. To be honest I think it’s one of the it’s not the most state of the art schools in the world. It’s impossible to get bored here. I will say though one thing about this place is that if you come here on fire for Jesus then you’ll find people on fire for Jesus but if you come here to party then you’ll find the party people so make of it what you want. Yes there’s been some drama here in the past few years but there’s drama everywhere and Liberty has been able to manage it pretty well I’d say. Set up a campus tour. It was 3 hours which entailed visiting the dorms and dining areas. To include the fitness and recreation center. As well the Jerry Falwell Library and Vines Center. We walked the campus for a few hours and then we rode the bus for the remainder of the tour. Everyone was friendly. The student tour guides did an excellent job. The campus was huge. It was well maintained. They have three dorm options. One to include apartments that house seven people. Freshmen are able to bring vehicles on campus. Wide selection of dining options. The book rental service the school insists you use by building the cost straight in to the tuition cost is a nightmare. I have to contact customer service every time I have to make a return. Also, some of my textbooks are always late. I never have them all before the first day of class. I am having an ongoing battle with the business office about a bill for the classes I dropped. As per the refund agreement I signed, I had until the start of class to withdraw for a full refund. I did and I have emails (with date and time stamps) between my academic adviser and I where I asked to be removed from classes and was told it was handled before that deadline and I am still getting emails pestering me to pay for a portion of the class. When I call no one seems to know how to fix it. I am starting to believe this is all one big scam. I have also taken off work to go to the financial aid office with an appointment to be told the lady I was supposed to meet wasn't in that day and I should have received a cancellation email which I did not. I missed four hours of paid work and drove an hour and twenty minutes each way for nothing. Then she emailed me the next week and asked me to come in again to handle business which I could not do because I need to be at work to make a living. Lunatics are clearly running the place. I visited the campus while staying in the area for the total solar eclipse in 2017. The campus was clean and safe. Internet searching showed that this was the only place in the US with white squirrels. I walked around the campus for 2 hours but only saw regular squirrels. Many students were not aware that this campus was known to have white squirrels and those who were aware said they never saw one. Just as I was about to give up, I spotted one by Potter Hall! Many of my professors didn’t take me seriously because I didn’t follow their beliefs. In one of their classes I failed because, “since you didn’t grow up in a catholic family you’ll never get it.” I was trying as hard as I could, SI’s, tutors, everything, but as soon as the professor knew I was atheist I felt extremely ostracized, not only from the student body but from the staff as well. Rockhurst has a beautiful campus in Kansas City. It is a smaller college campus and it is located close to the Plaza. Although I haven't personally taken classes, I have been told it is a good experience. They are partnering with St Luke's for the nursing program. The security officers that I've encountered have been super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend checking out this college.Kimber Mata

William Woods University is so amazing I cannot even begin to describe how much I love it. I found the University because of the fabulous Equestrian Program but have been able to find and experience so much more while attending. Having the ability to be a college athlete, a student, an equestrian, as well as involved in multiple other clubs and organizations is something that no other University offers. I AM NOT A STUDENT. IM A TOURIST I toured this beautiful school yesterday. It was absolutely beautiful. To walk around seeing so much scripture. So many things to inspire young minds and hearts to Christ. I did not get a chance to walk around the entire campus but the places I did see were amazing. My tour guide was Robert Vann. He knew a lot of history and important things about the school. He probably knew the mission statement if I asked him. He took us into the Chapel and had so many great things to say about it. He also said, the school was a safe place for Christians. The professors and staff, knew Jesus. Frfr. They encourage a relationship with Christ. He has never been around so many different ethnicities fully in worship together. It reminded him of Heaven. He saw that we are all the same. The school opened the eyes of his heart to so many different beautiful things about ALL of the people of God. I’m not gone lie, I don’t wanna say that I would ever move back to Virginia. And I do not like school. However, after seeing the school, and hearing the Words of Mr. Vann, it makes me want to consider attending Regent. Since they have instituted 6 sessions Columbia College has proven they are not about the students. By making this move they force students to take student loans or lose part of their Pell grant due to not being enrolled full time. They try telling their students that 6 sessions per year will benefit them. Being a student that is currently enrolled and have been for a few years now I can tell you it is of no good to the student. Not only does it cost us more but instead of having any type of break between already accelerated courses we only have two days off. This is ultimately going to lead to more stressed out students and lower GPA's. There was a time I recommended this College to everyone I came across. Now sadly I make it very clear Columbia College is the worst college you could attend. It is a joke. Rolla's new policy if we don't offer something you need in seat take it online. Not mentioning that not only are online courses significantly more expensive but the work that is required for these is beyond reason. I am talking at minimum double the workload of an in seat class. The teachers are great, administration from the main campus down is terrible. This is no longer a student centered college no matter what their website portrays.Sean Dahlman

I'm currently enrolled at CC. This is the best college I've ever been to. The faculty is understanding and very helpful. They actually care about your education. My advisor was by far the best. She helped me through some very tough decisions and helped me to make the best financial decisions. I visited the enrollment center 3 times to change classes due to my own reasons and all three times they were understanding, helpful, and encouraging. I also went to the enrollment services about my financial status multiple times throughout the year and they were always there to help. They showed me my financial plan exactly including scholarships, loans, and grants. They explained everything to where I could understand and even printed me copies of my plan. BEST COLLEGE containing the VERY BEST PEOPLE! The other reviews that had one star and rude comments, it's because of their stupidity and closed mindedness. I had a terrible experience at this school. I would highly recommend not going to this college. They do not care about how you as the student does. All they care a bout is your money. You will NEVER hear back from any of your online teachers. I tried emailing a teaching with a question 3 times and not once did I hear back from the teacher. If for any reason you need to withdrawal they will not except it. Even if you withdraw a day or 2 after the deadline, they will make you pay every cent, even if you had good reason for the withdrawal. If you want to attend a college that cares about your needs and your success I would highly recommend choosing a different college because the only thing they care about at this college is getting your money. Harvard is one of the most prestigious universities in the World and every one wishes to visit it once in a life time. I had this chance to go there and walk around this beautiful institute. The good thing is that it is open for all and everyone could go around and visit. I saw many tourists there enjoying walking and taking photos. I plan on transferring here to finish my MBA and so far the institute has been awesome, very helpful and informative. One of a few schools if you meet undergrad GPA requirements (3.4+) for their program you can skip the GMAT and gain entry into their program. The professors are amazing. You really have a feeling that they want you to succeed. Once you graduate they really just drop you. I tried working with career services and they only met once then dropped you. Really disappointed in the behavior of no longer a check coming in we no longer care. I have an amazing work history with several degrees but this new degree is transferring over to something new. So I really wanted help in the job search and advice in moving into something different. I attended night classes to try and finish my degree as an adult. I am told that classes during the day are very different. My experience was incredibly frustrating. The professor of my computer class struggled to log in to her computer and often asked me to help answer questions for the class. I took a speech class and the professor did not grade students on an even scale. The highest grade in the class was the student that wrote her entire speech and then read it without ever looking up. I appreciate Rasmussen University for having an abundance of resources and many professors and other staff members who demonstrate they want students to succeed. I especially have enjoyed being a peer educator, being privileged to work with Tammy Hopps who is an excellent supervisor and leader, and also being able to work with other peer educators who care for their peers as much as I do. I transferred from a local state college, which I considered sticking with to save money, but in reality, not much is saved when you compare the timeframe for graduation. At the state college it would take me an extra 2 whole years to receive my BSN, whereas at Rasmussen I save 2 years of time because of their second-degree BSN option. I am very pleased with the quality of technology – at the state school blackboard and other resources were slow and did not work as well on my cell phone, whereas with Rasmussen I can easily access everything I need from my phone when I'm on the go. It's inspiring to see so many single parents and married parents in school, some of which also work full time or part time like myself while completing their degree. I had such high hopes when enrolling at this school. However my experience hasn't been favorable at all. I am a current student and I was disappointed because even though I was able to enroll and start classes I really felt unsupported on this journey. I'm realizing Rasmussen may not be the school for me. I REALLY thought I would be supported and encouraged. I was made to feel that Rasmussen would be rooting for me through my academic journey. Instead I am bombarded with emails and calls telling me what I already know… I owe money. No calls or emails about how I can be helped to budget so that I can pay more toward the balance. I'm only being told: what I owe, to get the balance down to $500-$1000 and to take out loans; which will only put me in debt and it's too early to be taking out loans when I've been in school since September of 2021 and have 2 more years. Also this school doesn't cater to single parents, limited income and individuals that HAVE to work. This school ONLY has day classes for the nursing program and as I said before I HAVE to work full time.Sherria Clark

This morning I called the university for the North Orlando Campus for the Nursing program and spoke to the director of Nursing who was discusstingly rude on the phone. I called to get information, He had no patience and told me Not to proceed a career in Nursing because it was Not for me. This was a university that I was so excited to be a part of and be a graduate of Nursing. The director needs to be Fired because he is giving the university a bad reputation. Absolutely horrendous. I originally rated the school at 3 stars while I was attending but now that it's over they deserve as few stars as possible. The pros: great Art, Philosophy, and Engineering Technology programs. The cons: pretty much everything else. Parking is a joke. After gouging you on price for a sticker they intentionally oversell (e.g. 130 stickers for 100 spots) they often ticket and/or tow regardless of whether you've got the sticker displayed. Food services is equally asinine. The staff and workers are all friendly and mostly competent but the selection and hours of availability are poor at best and any meal or plan is horrendously overpriced. The computer science department (both professors) recently quit and were replaced with whatever they could find in the bargain bin. The math department, while surprisingly helpful and personable, is woefully underfunded. Maybe the new president will fix things but my time (and a sizable amount of money) has already been wasted.Eric Lawson

My daughter was a freshman here. She got in a little trouble a misdemeanor and was immediately voted off campus and 2 year suspension and even tho she did not have operaters license or transportation. She was told she had to evacuate dorm even without transportation. This policy is the worse school policy i ever seen. I will be talking with Ky. State dept. Of Education. I had one daughter graduate and had a wonderful experience at the school . My other daughter graduates in December and is in the music Dept. She sings in the choir and in the musicals they have . It is a school that seems close knit with the students and cares about there future .Bobby webb

I am an international student came here to study masters in technology management program. Firstly the program " Masters in Technology Management" doesn't have anything tech in the course. Most of the syllabus revolves around drones, project management and leadership. The program doesn't have any internship or CPT which is a huge disadvantage. There are no scholarships available for this course. This is more like a mini PHD where in you have to do so much research on several topics which are absolutely waste and have no relevance in the practical world. Neither is this degree valued for getting a job. The professors are only bothered about having research in APA format and doing coursework like a research with no relevance to the practical corporate world. As an international student, i took this course with a hope to get some practical exposure like internship and getting placed in a technology company. But i have wasted all my TIME, MONEY and EFFORT on this useless course. The professors are very much involved in their research work and least interested in teaching or helping students be prepared for corporate world.neelu B

The university is great small classes, great environment and accessible online school. The staff on the other hand is terrible. I emailed my advisor in regards to some credits missing on my transcript and its been 2 months and still haven't heard from her. I called her, left her some voicemails and still no answer. I took 3 online classes and it would take days sometimes week for the professors to respond. I chose to stay because I'm already enrolled but would not recommend it to other students. I absolutely love this school ! I recently transferred her from a community college and I couldn't be happier. The professors really focus on the students they are all looking for you to succeed. They're are also tons of student organizations, events, and guest speakers plus a ton more benefits like a fitness center with a pool, a track, a rock climbing wall and a bunch more, they're is also free counseling and free health care (well it's part of tuition ) but it's amazing. I applied here and got in but communicating with my admissions counselor was very difficult. I asked her several times about financial aid and if I would receive any. When I DID get a hold of her she just told me that she's been very busy and to call back later. Which I did, she did not answer, and instead of answering my question she left me and my high school counselor a voice mail asking us to call her once again later. I’ve been doing Penn Foster online schooling for almost a whole year now. I’ve found this online experience a great one. They are very helpful in all ways possible. I’ve called a few time and their stuff is helpful and kind. They help so much with the questions you ask and reassurance you need. You go at your own past, fast, or as slow as you want. I’ve struggled so much in the past with schools , I’ve been to over 6+ schools and I started at the point have an IEP/ taking classes for it. Penn Foster online High School, has helped me understand so much and I love how I can learn at my own past. The price is also reasonable. I can stay up till 3AM and do my work. I’ve finished a class in a whole week at times. I’d stay really hard. Not only that Penn Foster always keeps you up to date on thing that are happening with your account. I am the mother of two students at Penn Foster who just graduated. They are 15 and 17 years of age. They were placed in Penn Foster due to being bullied by teachers at their local school. My oldest enrolled with 0 credits in Oct of 2019 and my youngest enrolled with 7 credits in June of 2020. My oldest graduated Dec 07, 2020 and my youngest graduated Dec 23. 2020. They loved that they could go as slow or as fast as the wanted. They loved not having a schedule or having to have any interactions with teachers. Their overall experience was great. I have one more student, my 16 year old step-daughter working on it now. She's 41% done. We also have a 14 year old who will be enrolling once done with 8th grade. I’m so glad I made the decision to continue my education with ACI. If I could give them more stars I would. I dropped out of high school and waited till turned 18 and got my GED . I started my first semester at dcccd when Covid hit. I was really bummed but still very motivated to continue my education. When I learned I’d be taking summer 2020 completely online I knew there was a chance I might struggle at the beginning but who wouldn’t ? That’s why there’s available help from your instructors. So I took the courses and failed miserably. I lacked the help and support I needed and deserved at DCCCD. I truly believed community college was my only option for a very long time. Until I heard my neighbors success story with ACI. Being family owned and operated was a green flag right of the bat. It’s very important to know you have people on your side who truly care and want to help the best way possible and I’m confident I will have their full support with anything I need throughout my time here. Im confident I will succeed in their online paralegal program without a doubt. Fred was amazing, very helpful throughout the whole enrollment process. I was in the first cohort for the LVN/LPN program at ACI, and it was so definitely worth it! My experience though, was quite different from many of my peers as I was pregnant through out almost the entire program from beginning to end. Even though I had every odd against me, every one of my instructors did everything they could to ensure my success and I can never thank this administration enough for that. I graduated in October along with my peers, and I just found out that I passed the Texas state board exam, so I am officially an LVN/LPN! I am forever thankful to this school and my instructors Miss Bailey, Miss Nikki, and Miss Tawana. As this being my second time enrolling into a college, I will say that I am more than ready to be apart of Arlington Career Institute. When I came across the school I just knew that it was where I belonged. I am more than excited to be apart of the institute and it’s many opportunities that come with it. Not only did the opportunities of the school make me more than ready to start my classes, but meeting Ms. Ashley P. really set the cherry on top. I felt like Rasmussen was very dishonest with me. I ended up leaving the school mid semester to pursue a job opportunity. Before deciding if I was going to finish the semester or leave in the middle I spoke with the advisor. I wanted to make sure i was not going to loose my Pell grants or have my loans returned. This was very important to me because I was moving for the job and taking on a lot of new expenses. I did not want to be hit up with a big balance that I needed to immediately pay to the school. She didn't know the answer when I first asked so she said she would check to find out on it. The next time I saw her she assured me that I would not have a balance due to the schools and the only thing I would have to worry about is paying my student loans when they become due. The director of the campus Jay even came out to say everything was taken care of and wished me luck in the future. A couple months later I started getting letters and emails saying I owe a balance to Rasmussen and that I need to pay before it is sent off to collections. I contacted Jay asking what could be done about this since I was told wrong information by him and the advisor. His response was "there is no way we would have told you that because we don't have that information. " then he asked me "what do you want me to do about it." I said I would would at least like to have more time before it's sent to collections. After we got done talking I felt like he was going to try and help me. A week later I got another call from their collections department saying I need to pay my balance and when they read the Jay's note he was basically just calling me a liar saying "they wouldn't have told me that." This whole time the school would never acknowledge that they made a mistake and were not very understanding or helpful in resolving it. Pretty disappointing.Justin Hicks

This school started off with great potential, but as the pandemic hit, it failed to take care of its students. My husband was a nursing student who worked extremely hard, but when in need of assistance, he was not met. Expecting students to retain information with no hands on experience nor a classroom environment, especially nursing students, is unacceptable. After being dismissed for failing a course, he inquired about returning. They informed him that he could not return for four quarters, but even if he did return, all of the nursing courses he took would be expired by that point. He would have to completely start over if he wanted to return. Almost two years of hard work was completely wasted with nothing to show for it. His professors were less than helpful, as was his advisor. He tried to appeal his dismissal, as he is a veteran who struggles with PTSD and learning completely online (not at all what he signed up for either) was extremely challenging for him. They denied his appeal and did not show any sort of understanding. Many of his classmates also struggled as well. I wish we would have gone a different route and not wasted so much time and money on this institution.Christine Paeth

Love this college. I am getting my degree after being away from school for a bit of time. From enrolling to engaging advisors and person willing to help with a smile on their faces, I didn't feel weird seeking help when needed. My advisor is exceptional as she was always there to shoot me a reminder about my classes, help me figure out financial and was able to explain to me m courses and the actions I need to take to finish. I know have a clear goal of what I need to do and even going to do when I graduate and the advisors are totally on board and helping me. I lost my mother and I couldn't just..do anything… My advisor gave options and was so helpful ..I was able to take a break and pick up right where I left off when I was ready to return. Overall I don't think I have the appropriate words to describe how much I love the college and those who work to help students each and every day. So if you think your too old to go back to school, think it will be hard, trying to find a school for … Take in consideration for Rasmussen.. with the advisors, and professors you are bound to achieve every goal you have educationally and career!!!!!teneisha coles

At the beginning of the Covid outbreak/lock down, my mother's dementia advanced to a point where she was no longer safe to live on her own. There was no DPOA in place, and I was at a loss on how to proceed to get Mom the care she needed. I called KCEl, and was referred to attorney Ken Herring, who during our free consultation, explained in detail some last minute estate planning measures that KCEL would take to protect Mom's assets and other services they provide. After retaining KCEL, Ken drafted the estate plan, drafted and facilitated signature and notarization of a DPOA (more difficult than it sounds during Covid lockdowns). He also helped me find a nursing home placement specialist who was invaluable at a time nursing homes were taking very few hew residents, and facility visits weren't allowed.
