California Aeronautical University At almost a year at this school, I believe that this school has a great potential to help lead the students to pursue their aviation path. The staffs here are very nice and helpful. When you hear the words school, you think of waking up early to go to class everyday and doing same routine everyday. But here at CAU is different, this is a different tradition type of school that help prep the students specifically for the aviation field of study mainly in the focus for the Airline pilot. Classes here can be both hard and easy as long you don't wait until last minute and alway go ask for help. This school also give many great opportunities for students to explore more places and volunteer for the airshow, take field trip to a museum or even hiking. This school also has many cool airline partnership that visited the school and provide tips and recruits highly qualified student. Enough being said about the school, I will give my pro and con about this school. My pro and con are: Pro; •Campus is at the airport (meaning student will only have to walk out to the tarmac to get to their plane.) •affordable then most other public Universities like Embry Riddle $400k plus! •Fast pace courses. •ONLY 3 YEARS PROGRAM to get your bachelor's in Aeronautics! •No pre-flight hours needed, zero to hero. •University own private security and school ID card. •Great Cafe food and staffs. •Recreational center, pool, gym, tennis courts, and a basketball court to stay healthy. •School Pilot Uniform. •Beautiful airplane. •School is alway getting more new plane. • Part 141 University flight school •Best of all, the staffs and teacher here know you very well! — Con; • Small residences room, single room for two. •School location is far from any close by mall or shopping center. •Online class is still pretty new to the school. I can’t express how grateful I am for everyone who works here! I communicated with Michael most often and the ease, care and knowledge is unbelievable. I was referred to them after a minor accident. I called to get information on two programs. Because I'm paying for this and have a child and want to see which program fits not only myself but my family aswell. The young lady who helped was very rude telling me there two different programs and why I wanted information about both which ^^ I explained and she got irritated I was requesting information about both she said I'm not doing both choose one I did and that program director reached out but I couldn't hear her and so she hung up never called back. I was really excited to return to school and gain some experience to finally get a job. My instructor was very helpful and kind. But when it would come to administration, that was a whole different thing. It would take them a while to reply, my previous career advisor would take almost two weeks. With my previous career advisor, I felt like my suggestions and my goals were thrown out the window. It honestly made not want to even associate with them anymore. And I didn’t. Of course, this may have upset them, but after being left with no answers, I didn’t want to waste my time. I was told that I would get a job as soon as I graduated. And even though I was grateful for being given the chance, I left the job. I was severely unhappy and I realized that it’s not what I even wanted or suggested from my career advisor. I graduated the surgical technology course in September, 2018. I love SJVC!! Within less than a week of graduating, I applied for a job and went to work as a surgical tech. The instructors were fantastic, the courses challenging and stimulating, and the pace was fast. Best advice: Hit the ground running, don't procrastinate, be prepared for class, do all of your reading, assignments, and projects as soon as they are assigned, and you'll do fine. A very pleasant place to Patriot for business however there are some serious Americans with disability act issues the distance from the parking lot to the front door handicap spaces is quite some distance although they are the closest in the parking lot to the door however when traveling that route if you are in a manual wheelchair you will notice that it is quite challenging because of the hills to go further once inside there is extreme challenges and navigating inserting area mainly the water pond that is in the center of the structure there is no and I mean no wheelchair access whatsoever their stairs I believe in all four directions but a person in a wheelchair does not have access the elevators are extremely dangerous as well because if you're in a wheelchair in your coming in and someone accidentally pushes the button for the floor the door will close on you and I mean within second not according to the Ada seven-second rule there's many more 88 issues in which I can articulate Iran however I will not based on the fact that my overall experience was very pleasant by the staff the building was very clean and presentable and I felt very comfortable once inside of the area in which I was going to conduct business I think this damn weather courteousness and proceeded about my way with my family and grandchild in which they were more than happy to entertain as we conducted business thank you for this app two thumbs upUS Chaplain Dr Arthur GrayIII

This school could use some updates. I applied to one of the graduate programs. I received an email indicating to fill out a printed version of the application to the program. Everything has to be printed on paper. I also had to make an order money check to pay for the application and other payments. I believe there should be options do to it online. I had to pay overnight shipping for I did not what my private information to be lost. There was a worker that has helped me a lot of the questions, but still made me uneasy about the program. I did not receive any notification when my application was received. The only way I knew it was received was because a worker called me to ask me a few questions about my application. Months went by. I called April and admissions did not know anything about my status on my application. I had to call someone in the program. (Same worker that was helping me). She said by mid April the school should know who they are accepting. Mid April pass now it is towards the end of May. I still have not received anything from the school. I called to ask again and the same worker told me end of May. There are only four days left for the end of May. Fall semester usually starts in August. No notification at all from the school. No rejection notification, nor waitlisted, nor acceptance. A friend even jokingly said “Does this school even exist?”. So disappointing. I cannot even plan my education without knowing if I got accepted or not. Maybe I should have applied to other schools.nvstar

Amazing experience. CSU Bakersfield doing Covid vaccines for anyone that wants one. All thats needed is photo ID. Very professional, very friendly, and very quick staff. The entire time from parking in the abundant parking spaces to walking to the facility, waiting in line, getting the show, waiting the 15 minutes, and leaving was less than an hour. Thank you to everyone the set up, ran, and administered the vaccines. Your staff are the real heros. This is a good college, with many great professors, especially in the psychology department. This area has far fewer people, so it's easier to go to school here than some of the other more crowded universities down below. It's not a great place to live, not so much because it's a bad town, but because of the air-quality. But you're much more likely to pay lower rent, and find it easier to go to college here, if you're considering going to a CSU. I'm grateful for my time there.Brian Dillard

I went here off an on for a.few years however I moved out of state for 2 yrs when I returned I went on to order transcripts and saw I had a bill In further review I saw there were classes added to my acct but the format they use now canvas and such isnt something I've used. It's been years since I've taken classes. Well the classes were never dropped and never paid for but they are charging me for them. Classes that are way off of anything I've ever taken. Well no one will help me they keep saying I added them etc etc. Rediculous. I was a pre nursing major and the classes are like wildlife law stuff. Idek what to do. I've heard that it's a good place to start at, that's it. Trying to get ahold of ANYONE in charge there is a lost cause. Trying to report baseballs hitting our cars in the neighborhood from their baseball practice, reporting student cars parked in front of my driveway, and now trying to get anything done about the excessively loud music played while their baseball practice is going on….no one responds. The neighbors and I can hear the music from six houses down across the street….and from inside our homes!!! Inconsiderate college. They have courses listed for students to sign up only for them to get cancelled shortly after. They claim "low enrollment" but the classes that are available are filled to capacity. There are 100 students in one of classes with no online option! They do not care of the risk COVID. My case was refused in 2017 even though my daughter was requesting assistance with her dad. He declined however a very serious situation or rose during the time that I had not been able to deal with my ex and I have lost custody of my child 100% because Mr. Horrigan sat on my documents and left me a sitting. I almost missed things running out of time because he had not responded to them and my case would have been even worse. When miners council who is rude impatient and handling is spoken to me sent her recommendation to remove my child from my home and I was threatened either I did that or of his dropped. It was not going to be really see my daughter to are abusive father and ex pow's just because some woman came in for 10 minutes and think she knows something about art family. Couldn't get him to call back I there and make a plan of action. I trusted this man at 1 point but obviously the court relationships that are going on in the back scenes of the family division here are crooked because I guess the other side decided they Me and Mr. Horwhat the. Which has caused More trauma and a great deal of emotional distress. Leticia, throne who answered calls when I called for help was more worried about the time to get off work then the person needing help. I tried calling the day before and because I get off work at 5pm as well it was difficult to get to them before they closed but still managed to get that in before 5 and felt like instead of the screening they do to see if I eligible she covers no question other than to say we're about to close. No lawyer needs to be present to see about eligibilibilty. I asked about an employee who asked me to hold and ended up hanging up on me the day before. I was not rude, disrespectful, or anything like that. I was cordial.and polite. I sense they all want to get off work at 5 which I get. Everyone does but to use the last 20 minutes on the phone with her going over the excuses of why she didn't see about my eligibility and instead talking redundancy blows me away. I asked if she was the one who hung up on me and she said yes. Rude. Very wrong person for that job. So I may have missed a critical timeline because her not asking me questions to be screened and talked about why there was no point in asking. She said no lawyers were present. You don't have to have lawyers present or in the office to answer a few questions to get approved or declined. She is the one that asks them after all. She was rude and insensitive to timelines and doesn't appear to realize she could have asked her questions (which doesn't take long at all, I had someone represent me there before) she chose to use the passing time from 4:40pm till 4:59 for nothing at all. Free lawyer for evictions and Fair Housing discrimination, also some services for the elderly and healthcare enrolment for the poor. My current lawyer is very knowledge about landlord / tenant law in the area of unlawful detainers and Fair Housing discrimination. He also has great intrinsic motivation to serve the poor but, in over a year as his client, he has yet to answer my inquiries in 2 business days, which is what he is allowed thru thr program. I have always had to follow up my inquiry an average of 2 times, which is emotionally draining, extra work, and a delay in receiving an answer. Self advocating is draining. The problems requiring a lawyer are emotionally draining. He has no automatic email to return when he is out of the office and there is also no mention he is out of his voicemail. I never know, if he is in or out of the office. So, I must wait several weeks to hear back from him regarding many serious and urgent matters.Lara Batchelder

I took the OSHA 511 course and the material we reviewed was relevant and helpful. My instructor was Russ Barringer. He didn't answer peoples questions clearly and pressured the class participants to attend an additional lecture at a different location for an additional cost. Long story short I did not attend but I passed the class. He would give round about answers and default back to re-reading the slide(s). He allowed students to take over the course and because of that that the last two days of the course seemed rushed and inefficient.Karmela k
