My son attends Morehouse! Their freshman class made history Fall 2016. This was his first time leaving home. Well into the first semester, he made his first visit home, I was astonished at what I observed for those two days. He had matured mentally, spoke with clarity and confidence, more importantly he carefully listened to what was being said, evaluated what he needed to say before blurring it out as he did prior to attending Morehouse College and spoke humbly with an improved vocabulary. I had to stare at him a few times to see if he was the same young man that just left three months ago… Although, the change may have not been huge, it was significant enough to be noticeable by our family, neighbors and his friends. I cried happy tears before going to bed that night and I thank God for guiding him to this school. His change is real, his struggles are in the past and his success is his future transition from a "Man of Morehouse" to a "Morehouse Man!" This institution is only living off the names of the world renowned gentleman that are alumni.Because of an incompetent administration team,I only spent 15 days at that school due to financial issues which I was not at fault.It is ironic to witness the urgency they displayed in removing me from my registered classes,however the same urgency was not made to find my FAFSA information in a timely manner that was carelessly misplaced in some soft copy files.This school is a joke,and should be grateful of the outstanding names associated with it. I entered Clayton State as a Freshman in 2014, graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Human Services in 2019. I am now completing my Masters Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology. I have had more positive experiences here than negative ones. The negative experiences I had were minute. Because my negative experiences were minute, I will list those first. CONS: – I had an issue with a professor in my undergrad about an assignment I completed that I received a 0 for, and when I attempted to make a meeting with the Dean of Psychology, she canceled the meeting and my issue was never resolved. I received a C in the course, which hurt my GPA. (I am not upset at the professor, since the issue was I didn’t follow 1 instruction she gave, my issue was with the Dean canceling the appt.) – The University Health Services employees are burnt out. They are understaffed, and due to that, they are not that friendly and can take a while to get stuff turned in on time. (However, i stayed on top of it consistently and I was able to get the issue taken care of before the deadline) – Other employees at the school are not friendly, but that could be due to issues completely unrelated to the school itself. – Food in the cafeteria is not great. Now on to the great experiences! PROS: – The professors in my department are WONDERFUL. I cannot stress how awesome the professors are here. I have gone through a lot in the past few years, and one professor specifically (Dr. Mark Daddona), really helped me through it. As a single mom it was hard, but they have always been very understanding and flexible with me. If they had a Doctorate program, I would take them for that too! – The students are great. Yes, you have some that are not really here for learning, but the ones that are here to learn are great. – The janitorial staff is amazing. They have always been kind to me, and they do their job very well! The school has always been kept clean, especially the bathrooms. – Everyone is pretty responsive. I cannot seem to remember there being a time where I went days without a response from someone in any of the departments or buildings. If I can remember anything else, I will add it in the future. The professors really care about what they’re doing, and it shows. The classes may not be easy and the rules may be strict, but since this is a college, that should be expected. Bottom line, I have had nothing but great experiences. If someone were to ask me for a recommendation, I would let them know to consider Clayton State University!Cassia Encinias

Clayton State has a great environment for a young adult to be properly trained for the battles of the adult world. The professors do a great job of making sure that the students have the proper knowledge to succeed. The limited class size allows the teacher to dedicate more time to the students who need extra assistance to ensure no student is left behind academically. This style of teaching helps to minimize the anxiety that comes along with being afraid to ask for help. The professor are firm on deadlines, so this develops the skills to be hard working, plan oriented, dedicated, and accountable. The students are kind and belong to one another. They understand that everyone is here for a particular purpose, and are willing to produce positive and supportive relationships to ensure that everyone makes it to their goals. Bruh, the whole school trash…literally. The instructors ain’t instructing. Do not take online classes, the teachers NEVER respond! They didn’t post assignments until 2 weeks after class started and I was literally begging each one to respond to my messages to see what was going on.. THEY NEVER RESPONDED! Then they posted the missed assignments last (with no communication to the students) and expected it to be done in 2 days. I was sick with Covid and emailed every one of them to make-up work, no response initially (which caused me to fall behind), and then when I kept emailing, everyone lied and said they re-opened the missed assignments but did not! It took over 3 months to be admitted to the school. I kept calling and getting switched from department to department , no call backs and no emails- I should’ve knew then. I’m looking for another school to switch to next semester that will let me take my Accounting major online- I REFUSE to give this school FREE money! They need to be reported and sued. Maybe even closed down. THIS ISN’T A REAL SCHOOL! MARK MY WORDS! Lets all work together and get this school shut down permanently! A Mississippian now trying to get back in school after seven years,found Atlanta technical college.I had the hardest most difficult time reaching a advisor for the Paralegal course. I called numerous times and left a voicemail. I also called the dean and no answer. I sent an email to my advisor and received no reply. I finally got a call from my advisor like one day before the summer course start . I was so upset I wanted to attend this summer 2022. The advisor advised me not to start because class starts the next day and I would be rushing and scrambling to buy books and schedule classes. I applied and send all required docs in July ai go to the school 1x a week just to be told they have a new system and my application will be updated in 48-72 hours.. I just received my bachelor's from Herzing University, and I cannot say that I would recommend this school to anyone. For those looking to pursue education exclusively online, I would say that this program is pretty straightforward, however, being on the Atlanta campus was stressful more than half of the time. When I started there in 2013, there were a number of professors that were so passionate about teaching (for instance Mrs. Hess, Mr.Moore and Dr. Friedman <—this guy had to be the best instructor to teach mathematics I've ever had) but to my knowledge, they've all left the campus. Now, it seems like they're understaffed and just unprofessional overall. I had a professor tell me that they asked him to teach a course the day before (leaving him unprepared, and I honestly felt that he was unqualified to teach the class (but when the lesson plans are laid out for you I suppose anyone can teach anything). In the time that I was there, there were three academic deans and three presidents. I tried to get assistance with tutoring once, and I had to literally chase them down to respond to me. Then, three weeks into the class with no tutor and the dean asked me, "Do you think getting a tutor at this point is worth it?" Seeing as though this was the last class I needed to graduate, I was baffled. What kind of question is that to ask a student? When enrolling here, I was under the impression that I would be able to take the majority of my classes on campus. I was a criminal justice student, and the majority of my criminal justice courses, and none of my law classes were available on ground. I pretty much just took my gen-ed classes on campus, and ended up online for two years because none of my other classes were offered on ground. To wrap this up, if you're looking to take classes exclusively online, then sure, give this school a shot, but I could never see myself returning here to further my education.Rose Gold

Don't do it. There is nothing inherently wrong with this place. However, the legal profession is extremely snobby and you will never be accepted into this profession with a degree from here. The legal profession bases your worth on your lsat score and the law school you graduated from. It doesn't mean they are better attorneys, but that is the accepted presumption. Retake the lsat, hire a tutor, etc. Your last score is not a measure of your intelligence and can change drastically with practice and effort. Learning the law is learning the law no matter where you go to school. How do I know this? 1. When I was at John Marshall, many people left and went to Emory Law School. It's all the same. 2. Once you "get it," you can do anything, legally speaking. I have a career as an attorney. I had a part-time position before my bar results came in. I also passed the bar exam on my first attempt. Not sure why, but there is a terrible stigma amongst the legal community against people who've failed the bar exam. My current position is best career/job I've ever had. I work in a firm with people with law degrees from Vanderbilt, Georgia, Georgia State, Miami, and many others. If you can show people that you are more than the school you attended, you can get a job. It would just be a lot easier with a degree from an upper-tier school. Debt? Mine is tremendous. However, I have 8 more years and it will all be forgiven. The state schools are much cheaper. The $100k careers are few and far between. Many 4 year degrees easily make more than many lawyers. 2012-2012 was my first year at Atlanta John Marshall, and I was very pleased with my experience. The teachers are very knowledgeable of the law and how to convey it to students who were completely unfamiliar a lot of the information being taught. Furthermore, the professors were very willing to assist any and every student who took the initiative to seek assistance after classroom hours. If the teachers did not have office hours available, you could email them, and then they would make the needed accommodations to meet with you. Furthermore, the Deans of the school have an open door policy where you can go and speak with them about any questions, concerns, and issues that you may have concerning John Marshall. The entire faculty has genuine desire to see each of the students at John Marshall succeed. The school has many ways that they prepare students for the bar exam. But no matter how many bar preparation classes, workshops and/or prep courses a person take; it is still up to an individual to put in their fair share of effort and studying to pass the Bar, as well!! John Marshall definitely has the resources to assist you with preparation, but some of passing the bar is up to the individual person and how much time they have put in!! The school my not be the "prettiest" as other comments have mentioned, but they have exactly what they need inside to develop/mold exceptional, upstanding, reputable attorneys for the future. Ok, so it is true this school is VERY expensive compared to Emory which is another private institution that is rated much higher than JMLS. However, each person has the ability to make law school what THEY want to make it. I met some good friends, some great professors, and feel pretty well prepared to embark on my own legal career. Of course there were aspects that frustrated me, but I have dealt with the same levels of frustrations at both my public undergrad universities. I think students will all have their gripes with their educational experiences. I will admit the ever changing administration looks unprofessional at JMLS and the turn over of professors gives JMLS the appearance of instability. Perhaps my biggest complaint is the way students seemed to have a lack of respect for their personal/ professional appearance. No dress code was adhered to and some very unsavory clothing and behavior were tolerated when they may not have been deemed ok at other law schools. However, I earned my degree and passed the bar exam. Therefore stressing my earlier point that law school is what you make of it. I felt as if I always had access to opportunities, experienced professors, externships, etc. I never felt as if I was missing or lacking good legal education at JMLS. Perfect? No. But I am happy with the education I received and in no way feel that my professors did not give me the proper preparation I need to make it in the real world.Alexandra Morris

I am very grateful for Erin and the team's assistance! No one wants to need a lawyer, but when you need one – you might find it's difficult to find one that will listen. Erin listens and cares. I received a stack of traffic violations one day. All of them required a court appearance. Normally, I would probably just shrug and pay the fines. I spoke with 3 different assistants and left messages 4 times from 9/14/21 to 9/17/21. I needed assistance with a Wrongful Termination case and, worst of all, I was referred to this firm by a friend who knows one of the partners. Not even that got me a single call back from these people. The last woman who took my name and number even had the cheek to say "messages are returned in the order they are received". I told her I'd left various messages over the preceding days and no-one had bothered to call me. I'd give them zero stars for complete lack of professionalism and customer service but the Google system won't let me. Wow. Is all I have to say about this "foundation" not only did they NOT resolve my (YEAR) long case. They refused to call me to provide any real communication throughout this entire process. Being more than patient, hopeful, understanding, & cooperative with this "foundation" to receive NOTHING in return. Not so much as a call back… There were "college" students sent to my home to gather pictures, a lengthy trail of evidence, plus whatever more they asked for….. & Yet still they could not help me or in their words. "Find a Lawyer to take the case" pitiful. How is there no one to take the case of a ceiling caving in and nearly killing its residents?? I don’t know.. But if your case isn’t as severe as that, then I'd say go elsewhere.. You'd be better off receiving help from a local church or a low-cost lawyer. The process of having the landlord/tenant issue reviewed begins with A DISCLAIMER to be signed electronically by ALL complainants stating that there is no guarantee the legal issue will be remedied, resolved. And, that the foundation will do it's best to locate an attorney who will review the complaint, put the complainant in contact with other legal resources, and have the complainant continue to advocate for themselves and work with various legal resources within their communities. I am a recent grad from Gwinnett college with my MA diploma. Though I loved ALL of my instructors (Mr. T, Mrs. Ross, Mr. Suggs and Mr. McCrae and Mrs. Dixon)and felt very prepared after graduation, the most important thing to me was what happens after I graduate bc so many people put in the work and have a difficult time finding a job, afterwards. Mrs. Middlebrooks worked with me in placing me at an externship site. I was very picky about where I wanted to go…and not go for that matter. She was very patient with me and I actually went on 3 interviews, all of which offered me the opportunity to work for them. After completing my externship, I was hired. I was actually hired as a medical biller even though that is not what I went to school for bc I showed knowledge in that field! Shout out to Mrs. Dixon who somehow made billing interesting and now I get to add billing to me resume! Unfortunately, that opportunity did not work and back to Mrs. Middlebrooks I went! She set me up with an interview within about a week and a half after reaching out to her and I was hired by them as well. I was even offered more pay bc I capitalized on the certification exams that Gwinnett offered and got certified as a medical assistant, phlebotomist and X-ray tech operator! The tools are in place to succeed, YOU just have to put in the work and the staff WANTS to see you succeed and will bend over backwards to help you get employment after graduation. After all, what good is all your hard work in school if you cannot get paid for it😉morgan wills

This school is a complete joke. Waste of time and money. The teachers are a joke along with the administration. I was there for 9 monthd and I didn’t learn anything. I took a medical insurance class and only did written claim forms all day. I learned absolutely nothing about medical insurance. The software they use is antiquated, no one even uses that system anymore. They don’t teach you to prepare you for the exam that you have to take (in which no businesses are looking for the certification you get from this “school”) instead, they have you log on to some online program to learn what you need to learn for the exam. Don’t waste your time or money…. you’ll be in debt for no reason at all. On top of all that…… I finished all my classes and did not get a graduation notice. I heard there was graduation so I emailed them. They were real callous about it and said they sent me an email. Basically like oh well. Well now it’s too late. This school is terrible! I enrolled January of 2016 in the Medical Assistant Associates Degree program. When I first started I was not sure if this was the right fit for me but, the instructors that I had the pleasure of learning from, were AMAZING!!!! I want to thank Ms. Jordan, Mr. T, Mr. Vencil, Ms. Mabry, Ms. Barnes, Mr. Suggs, Mr. Mauldin, Ms. Holland, Ms. Middlebrooks and Ms. Ross for making my experience one to remember. The encouragement that I received from each and everyone of those instructors meant the world to me. I put in the work and is graduating with a 3.9 GPA and, I am also now working as a Medical Assistant. I just can't say enough about the quality educational opportunities available at the College of Continuing and Professional Education! I enrolled in their Social Media Marketing course in 2016 to increase my marketing skills. As a mom with a busy family, I wondered if I really had the time to go back to school. On the first night of class, I realized that I had made the right decision. From then on, I looked forward to attending every class! The content was very relevant and the instructor is definitely a social media expert. The certificate I earned and the skills I gained from the course have been invaluable. I saw an immediate increase in the interest employers had in my resume, and after several interviews, I accepted a position. Today I am working in a job I love and also help several nonprofits build their social presence. In today's job market, we all need to continuously learn new skills if we want to keep up with changing industries. I completed the Paralegal Certificate Program in December 2017. I originally earned my B.A. as a traditional college student, spent a number of years working, then took off more than a decade to raise my children. With both kids well on their way to adulthood, I went back to school last year and enrolled in the program at KSU. Going back to school was a huge challenge, but I enjoyed every minute of it! In addition to learning so many useful skills in the legal world, the program did an awesome job of continually connecting students with internship and job opportunities. Don't waste your time at this puppy mill setup. Do not be fooled by the name, you will be so disappointed. Instructors are not qualified, there class lectures are lead by people they pull of the street to read off a power point slide and has absolutely no experience nor can you ask them any questions. Half the words there reading they can't even pronounce. Half of our class for labs were laying on classroom tables with a weight capacity of no more than 40lbs for multiple Saturdays. The data from there previous class was implemented into our moodle and caused the due dates and testing for quizzes to be all over the place. And this lady Wendy will smile in your face and could careless about you.. Don't say you wasn't warn, this place is a large trash bag, dressed up to look like a school…..Gerard Morrison

Thanks be to God as he made a way for me to get all documentation in and I began my newest journey of completing my Bachelors Degree the Labor Day weekend. There are many different areas of specialization in various degrees at Devry University. I am proud to be a part of this university and I value the education that is being taught here. It can be challenging, but I am loving every minute of it so far. I am definitely becoming a better person because of my experience with this university. My wife has been looking into going back to school. I have been helping her with research and the application process. When she told the advisor at DeVry that she wanted more time so we could make a decision the advisor responded "I'm confused, so are you going to let your husband pick what school you go to?" This is a completely unacceptable response instead of allowing us to make a big descicion together they are trying to manipulate people into a program that is much more expensive than other state schools in the area. You can finish homework and walk to the Braves stadium for he game Or just hang out at the Battery. 😉 The design of the campus is great- fresh colors and modern feel. It is located in a Class A building ( top notch) so you always have an extra security and locked doors in the evening. Extra layer of security to the campus is added by the doors and lock that needs a code.Marianna K
