I have had an amazing experience with Herzing University! I am excelling in my degree choice and I couldn't be more satisfied with my learning experience and the flexibility that the online program gives me.The instructors are all willing to help whenever I have a question, and if they see many students struggling with something, they will post an announcement with some helpful tips on how to proceed through our courses. The learning material is easy to understand, the discussion boards really help me connect with my classmates more than I normally would, the library is full of everything you might need for your studies, and the Coach rooms and Tutoring center are very helpful! I have seen many posts off and on about how students struggled in this school. I have to say the most common thing I see students struggling from in these courses is not doing the assigned work on time, not participating in the discussions, and not following the assigned directions on assignments. We have to take responsibility and do our work (on time!) or we will not succeed, and we should not blame someone else for our lack of trying. Just with everything else in life, if you do not put any effort into something, you will not gain anything from it. I stared with Herzing back in 2013 for my undergrad BSN RN. At that time, school was still establishing itself, therefore, I had some rough time getting through the program, but overall my experience was good. This year I came back for my MSN FNP and let me tell you ))) My experience with Herzing in 2019 is absolutely amazing. This school grew so much! I'm currently a student at UWGB, and I have attended UW-Fox Valley, and UW-Oshkosh. I find the campus and the school as a whole to be high quality and a first rate campus to consider attending. However, the push for these schools to partner up with companies like Cengagebrain Inc. and MathXL/Pearson is nothing short of the next chapter in finding new ways to shakedown students by forcing them to pay high prices for online study materials and "approved" texts. I'm currently having trouble with Cengagebrain, with nobody to turn to for help. It seems we are forced to deal with these less than reputable companies, with no ability to defend ourselves against them essentially doing as they please. In the interest of the truth, I had a rental that ran late. As a student, I'm sure you can relate to the semester ending and finals being more important than most things in life at that time. I now have no way to return the item as the Cengage website won't let me print a return label. The book in question currently sells NEW for less than $100 for the exact same edition and print at various online stores. Cengage is claiming that because I am late, I need to pay the full list price which is $276.00, less my rental fees thus far of $60.00. So in other words, my late fee is over %400 percent of what I rented it for! I ask you rhetorically what business decides because you are late, you will now pay for the full price of the item? No basic late fees, no extension of the rental. Nothing. They just demand that you pay the full amount and keep a book that you just paid over double its worth for. This is not the first time something like this has happened to me. I paid over $100 for a MathXL code only to be told it wasn't valid, and was then forced to purchase another code! This was from the school bookstore! Now, I have contacted Cengage for a third time today on Sunday, 5/24/15 and am awaiting a response. Cengage's normal modus operandi in this situation is to submit students to collections if they don't pay the egregious book price. So in other words, there is no defense to having your credit damaged by these people. I find it to be extremely dishonest to force students to pay such high prices for these materials all for the sake of making it easier on the professors. My bill for the class in question for the materials needed was over $300 with the online subscription and the text rental, and now much more after being forced to pay for this book. It would have been 1/3 of that if all I had to buy was the book. I am paying for all of my schooling, and I don't get help. I feel horrible for all of the students in my position that will have to be subjected to the same underhanded tactics of these companies. As students, we are forced to buy these things and have no way of making back a percentage of our money either since we cannot "resell" an electronic subscription. However, I feel there lies the reason these types of study materials are coming about, they are aimed at drying up the used text market. UWGB, while I feel as a school you are good choice, I do not find in any way that your best interest is that of the students when you condone using such companies as Cengage or Pearson. As an older than typical student and not of the norm, I feel things like this will factor into steering non-trad students away from the UW system due to the nickel and dime nature of it. If you want to partner with these companies, than you better make sure they aren't trying to take advantage of your students. To any prospecting students reading this who value their money and time, please look hard at your major and make sure you want to deal with classes that use these companies. I am only offering a friendly warning that my complaints are not isolated and to also let you know that this will only increase in the coming years. I can't in good conscious give more than one star to UWGB due to this issue. It would have been completely opposite if I haven't had such bad experiences with these companies.Jake Rodgers

If you're looking at completing your degree online, skip getting the "Integrative Leadership" which used to be called the "interdisciplinary Studies degree"…it has nearly zero value in the real world. I've had it for three years and my Associates degree has earned me more value then this degree ever will. If all you want is to be able to do is “say” you have a bachelor’s degree without regard to being able to use it…this is the degree for you. If your current employer just wants you to have a bachelors, because it makes them or you “feel” good…this is it. I’d get a refund if it were possible. I minored in business administration, and if it weren’t for that….I don’t even know what real-world value this degree offers… College is mostly a joke, you spend the first 2 years taking gen eds, most of which you already learned in high school but don’t get credit for because they don’t want to miss out on making money off your back, or you’re dealing with extreme liberal bias. The real classes don’t start until year 3 or 4, at which point you’ve already progressed to the point where you’ve hit the point of no return in that program. Honestly, most people are better off going to a technical school to start. If you make it through that, you can always transfer to a “real” college where you can be made to feel like you’re smart.Dudeski Boros

This college is gaining a great reputation all the time. It is very affordable and you get a great bang for the buck. You get a very good education without spending $20-$30,000 a year. I went to two big-time colleges before UWGB was built. The reputations of the schools didn't help me get a job. I had to interview well and earn it. After graduating high school, I served for three years in the Army because I was hesitant to get myself into student debt and I was unsure of what I wanted to major in. When I found UWS, it seemed it would be a perfect fit as it was reasonably priced and offered an incredible list of majors and minors. I was told that I did not need to rush into a major as I had time to explore different courses. That is no longer the case at UWS. The administration at this university has made it incredibly clear that it does not care about its students or faculty, as several programs were suspended without any warning. No feedback was considered from students or faculty prior to this decision being made. It is unfortunate that this administration has now lost the trust of nearly all of its students because of its lack of communication skills.Cassie Radunz

I attended one year before I had to leave and got lost completely lost as I was trying to find my future career path. It is very clear that the program advisors do not care about how much effort you put into trying to get into a program. You can put in all the effort and be way on top of the game, but the feedback is completely about why they shot you down is completely offensive. Highly not recommended. In addition, they keep adding charges and will not notify you about them. I found out the hard way and now around $770, even though I have not been there in almost a year.Mindy Papperman

Visited a couple years ago. The campus was too small for my liking and the buildings seemed old and crappy. Some old buildings are cool like at U Chicago, but those are cool because they are built with better materials and are well maintained. Honestly this school is great. The professors teach very well and the people here are awesome! Only problems is that on the weekends Whitewater doesn't have a lot of stuff open so it feels like the school wants you to drink or something; they should leave the gym open longer on weekends. Lastly, the BIGGEST problem is the advising of the business department. You start out as a freshman with ACTUAL ADVISERS they help you and you are all ready for school. AAANNND their gone! You get some advisers that just send you premade emails and don't want to talk to you. My adviser has actually emailed me saying he was not going to respond to another email of mine. You then eventually get an "Adviser" but in reality is just a professor. Since they are payed to teach NOT be advisers some don't know the ever changing curriculum of UW-Whitewater. This is not the Professor's fault but the organization's fault. The organization has all sorts of ways to see if you are taking the right classes but you don't know which one is right because most of them are wrong. I love Whitewater: the people, the atmosphere, the teachers, the problem is advising. We are students, our job is to learn. They are teachers, their job is to teach.Brad Beran

This university offers MANY great opportunities for students to be involved in organizations or clubs- those who claim the city is boring must simply be boring people. I rarely even leave campus, and yet I enjoy every minute here. The classes and programs and professors here are top-notch. You won't find any TA's here! And the academic advisers truly seem to care about the students and are able to provide them with great advice. The best programs this school offers are business, education, social work, and marine biology, but almost every program here is high quality and only getting better. The facilities are constantly being updated, and it's a very accessible school for people with physical disabilities. Anything you can think of related to a top-of-the-line college, this one has it. UWW is a good school. A lot of negative comments on here. Not sure what curriculum people studied here. I studied business. The classes were taught by qualified, knowledgeable teachers. I can say that some teachers were better than others, but overall the instruction was very good. I see some of the ranting about having to pay for parking or encountering a pissy teacher. Some people need to grow up. Seriously. Business and education are the best schools at Whitewater. If you came to college, just to stroke and joke, and squeak by with a degree in basket weaving, its your fault and no one else's. Take some ownership.Tim Nolan

Droms; I wrote an extensive review about dorm life, however it was too long for Google. To sum it up they will basically show you great dorms on the tour and then stick you in cramped and mostly unsanitary dorms. Housing is a flat rate at CUW so you will be paying roughly $3,300 a semester even though you live in the worst dorm rooms. I would also like to point out that the best dorms at CUW aren’t even close to being worth $6,600 a year and you could get a way better and more cost efficient apartment off campus with roommates. Classrooms and staff: The quality of the classrooms themselves vary depending upon which part of the school they are in. Classrooms in the newer Chemnitz, Coburg and Regents wings are really nice. They are carpeted and the equipment is decent quality. The older classrooms are tiled and consists of hard or old rolling computer chairs. The staff at Concordia is either hit or miss, as they are failing to properly accommodate the amount of growth Concordia is experiencing. I have had some great professors that I’ve learned a lot from, but also terrible ones. My freshman history teacher was only here for one semester and he was very biased. Even though he was taken care of, grades still suffered because of him and the entire class felt like a waste of time. The only definite upside to the classrooms at concordia is they are very small. Most classrooms consist of maybe 25 people, the very most being around 40. So if you need help from the professor they will most likely know you by name and be willing to lend a hand. Dining:There are three places on campus to eat; the Nest, Cafe, and landing. The Cafe is a buffet style cafe with several entrees, sides and a salad bar daily. The nest is a mesh of things including pizza, burgers, chicken, tacos, stir fry and a smoothie bar that are all open different times during the day. The landing is a sub shop, similar to that of subway, except choices are a lot more limited. All of this may sound great, but the selection isn’t enough. You will get sick of eating the same stuff all the time, and I mean literally sick. Sodexo is the food provider at CUW and they are basically the worst food provider possible. Give Sodexo a quick google if you don’t believe me. “Sodexo diarrhea” is actually a joke at the school because your bowels will let you know that what your eating is terrible quality. Most of the food they actually make in the cafe is dry or poor quality, so even though they have different entrees throughout the week the choices are limited based on quality. The landing is pretty decent, but the line is often ridiculous as they have three people working, but only one person actually making the subs. The nest stir fry is pretty good and the lady working the stir fry is an absolute sweetheart. The other options in the nest though are not cooked very well (burgers are over cooked or frys are undercooked and soggy) and will become repetitive quickly as it’s the only place to eat after 7pm on the weekdays. The staff at Sodexo is also pretty terrible consisting of a few veterans, some student workers and pretty much anybody willing to work a job. A lot of Sodexo team members don’t care about their job and come and go within a few weeks. One lady at the landing verbally assaulted my friend one time because she gave him mayo and he asked for no mayo. Overall, Concordia University is basically a trap. The reel you in by showing you expensive looking residence halls and equipment. They also give you what looks to be a large amount of aid (average is $8,000) but it only brings the price of university down to $24,000. There is a far better college experience and education to be had at other universities that cost way less. My advice, don’t attend CUW. *Update* Student life is terrible, there is nothing to do, but run on a treadmill. You can't even use the Field house to play basketball as without a supervisor you will be kicked out. There is never a supervisor available.Jesse Thomas

If you have a different religion/belief than the one school advertises, please be warned. They do not care or respect yours. As stated by one of the directors of this institute, "this is a religious entity first and educational institute second; not the other way around". It would be fair if this philosophy is conveyed at the time of admissions I signed up for MBA core course at one of the campuses. What I learned from that course was English composition, grammar, Bible study, theology and how to listen to stories. The syllabus was changed in the 2nd class not the first one out of 8 weeks class duration and homeworks were about religious text which has nothing to do with course. The final exam was copy of the original professor and had contents/questions which were not even discussed in the class. We did not even go through the contents of the book that’s mentioned in the syllabus. At Graduate level, this is not acceptable by any means. I expect to look beyond grammar and spellings page numbering and length of paper. I did submit to online writing help provided at the University and changed my term paper accordingly but was not appropriate according to the lecturer standard. Save your money and find admission at other place because they are not worth the fees you will pay compared to a state university.Do your homework before you join this institute. The state university is much cheaper and the degrees are well recognized across other universities than this one. You cannot transfer your credit from here to any state university either.I am still trying to find anything positive with this school.Jack Smith

I like MOST of the people and foundation it has there. But I don't feel that it is any more diverse than they would accuse to be. In my experience, its not as diverse as they make you think at first. For me, I love Concordia but there are obvious times when I do feel like I do not belong. And SOME professors are down right rude. I email, ask questions, and try to understand but their feedback always comes up short with opinions that are negative and show obvious reasons they simply do not care if I fail the class or not. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Only go here if you want to be treated like a wallet and nothing else. I will give a lot of backstory so you can properly understand why I have such an opinion. Coming in my Freshman year I was informed by my Freshman Advisor, Alejandro Medellin, that I had tested high enough in my Spanish proficiency test to not have to take any Spanish classes. The way it sounds, he told every Freshman he could that they could just not take the Spanish. I only found out my Junior year of college, while being a part of a completely optional group (peer coaching) during an optional meeting that what he informed us was actually wrong, and that we did need Spanish credits. Following that incident I took a 4000 level Carthage Symposium class that counted towards both Spanish and Humanities with the understanding that Carthage Symposium classes are capable of counting toward either of the subjects it was under. My senior year, after meeting with my advisor, I had been informed that this information, provided to me via 2 years of peer coaching and 1 year of freshmen advising, was actually wrong and that there needed to be very specific qualifications for it to count. I was lucky and was able to beg and send various emails to get my Spanish requirement waived during the Fall of my Senior Year. My Freshman year I also took an introductory computer science class, taught by Perry Kivolowitz. The class had 2 imbedded tutors for it, and they made sure to show up to as many classes and were as available as possible. They made sure to let us know early on that the assignments we were doing were above the level of an introductory computer science class. They also had some issues as the assignments got more and more challenging as they were not provided any sort of assistance from the professor. They were having to figure out solutions that matched our knowledge on the fly, which meant they were typically only capable of figuring out 1 solution in general. Our tutoring sessions usually had about 10-15 students in them, all struggling to understand how to even begin the assignments. Our tutors would try to walk us through the assignments as best they could, but as they only knew of one way to solve them we were only able to get one type of solution. This became a problem when Professor Kivolowitz started to take off 15% from our homework grades if we had visited the tutors. So if you visited the tutors, then chances are you had working code that was similar to other people as there were only 2 tutors that had other responsibilities as well. On the flip-side of this Professor Kivolowitz was handing out 100% to anyone who had original code, even if it didn't work at all. So you could turn in an assignment with minimal coding, not even working, and still receive a 100% for the course overall. The tutors and students were upset about this, but the tutors also tried to discuss why this grading was wrong. He would not listen and stuck to taking 15% from any assignment if you had visited tutors. My Sophomore year was pretty much the only good year I had at Carthage and I have to say "good" lightly at that. In between my Sophomore and Junior year my dad got into a motorcycle accident and became paralyzed from the chest down. This comes into play when I include that he was the main income for my household and that the Carthage is insanely expensive so he was able to take some of the pressure away from paying the outrageous prices. I had appealed to the Carthage Financial Aide Office to get some sort of "emergency financial aid" as this was an unexpected event in our lives. Carthage decided that my dad being paralyzed from the chest down and being hospitalized from June 2019 – February 2020 was worth $2,000 of their time, which doesn't even cover a day in the hospital. This was just in my first 2 years, I have more but I've hit my character limit so I will include it on a separate review.Jon Hasty

Please do Not go to Carthage college for the Accelerated Certification in Teaching. A) The ACT program in Carthage College isn't Nationally accredited, so none of the credits taken here can be transferred to another University because there was no practicum/observation hours attached to the classes. This is something most universities do for documentation purposes. B) The classes you'll learn here aren't foundational courses, even for Special Ed., i.e, "Methods of Structured English, Methods of Teaching Math, Methods of Teaching Language Arts, etc". Instead you'll take courses with no text books required or read books like "For White Folks Who Teach in The Hood", which is no where comparable to learning from actual teaching text books. You'll mostly write about your opinions and experiences in teaching for these classes which may or may not have validity. C) You'll have to find your own job for the internship portion and you'll be evaluated by two mentors (one from Carthage and one from the job site). This is difficult. I didn't learn the basic foundations from Carthage college, and neither will you. When talking to the program director about required foundational classes, I was told "to go back to undergrad" to learn it. D) The ACT program itself isn't graduate school, it only leads to a Master's later on, so it uses all the undergrad funding from the federal loan. I was told that the ACT program is $16,500 approx., but upon enrollment, I had to pay an additional $8,000+ out of pocket, so the total for the program is around 24,000+. , not worth it for a program that isn't nationally accredited or teaching basic foundational courses. E) The ACT program isn't consistent. Initially, students were able to be placed in an internship per needed, now students have to find a job on their own, which is more difficult when you're not licensed. Financially, they say one thing (cost 16,500 approx.) then turn around and say something else (cost 24,000+). Universities, usually give students a copy of the breakdown of finances beforehand, and this is something concise and consistent year after year. Most universities place students in internships and prepare them yearly. So, beware. This is only my experience here. Please go somewhere reputable, nationally accredited, and consistent.Reenu George

The student body is made up of 95% mute individuals (based on repeated observations of the systemic lack in in-class engagement and participation). Okay maybe they're not actually mute, but seriously, this college has a severe problem with its student body. I cannot in good conscious recommend this college to anyone attending college primarily for an education. A significant portion of learning in college comes from one's interaction with their peers, so it is essential to make sure the student body (in addition to the courses) challenges and inspires you. The faculty are forced by economic necessity to dumb down their classes so enough students can pass to sustain the college's finances (based on off-the-record conversations with over a dozen faculty members from a number of departments). A number of the classes are complete jokes, total blowoff classes (most likely to increase GPAs). Some, usually the smaller niche ones, are fantastic. If you do go here, befriending the professors is key. The faculty are friendly, accessible, and highly qualified—even if some don't know how to make decent PowerPoint presentations. Class sizes are rarely above 20 students. The campus is strikingly beautiful, but the interiors of some older buildings are quite underwhelming. The college doesn't skimp on landscaping. The campus is also designed to isolate itself from the surrounding community. I see this as a negative, though certain kinds of parents might see this as a positive. The campus's walkability with Kenosha is properly poor. If you plan on frequenting the downtown, a bike or skateboard is a must. The buildings aren't open 24/7 which is incredibly annoying. Also it gets seriously cold in the winters. Bring a jacket. It's a welcoming college for the politically conservative. It's not so good if you want a diverse student body. I'd give it 40%. Now part of the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, this is a great local campus for starting your college education. As recent analyses have shown, the name (prestige) of the university you graduate from has much less to do with your career success then does the quality of education you receive. My personal experience indicates that this campus offers a quality education. One of the hardest (and one of the better) courses I ever took (microeconomics) was at this campus (it was also the only course I took here) as part of my MBA program at Oshkosh – and I am a graduate of the University of Michigan (which everyone knows is way better than the University of Wisconsin – Madison). So you can waste money at a supposedly more prestigious university or save a big chunk of change and transfer to that same (prestigious)university for the final two years. The UWGB, Manitowoc Campus just got an amazing facelift as part of a $7.5 million dollar renovation project on the campus. New computers, new printers, new furniture, quiet study areas, nice lounging areas and great group study or meeting areas as well. Library staff is super friendly and helpful, they will make sure you get what you are looking for. Amazing Student Involvement Center for Student Government and Student Activities.. Also, brand new state of the art Biology and Chemistry Lab spaces. Renovated and modern Art Studios including a print making lab and digital media lab with 3D printing.Bryan Hulbert

Great place to get a start on your college education. I was able to take classes here during high school for college credit. 100% worth it. Class sizes weren't bad and teachers were fair. It's a great way to get some credits at a cheap cost before transferring to a larger campus to complete your four year. The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM is an adult learning extension of UW Milwaukee that has brought learning experiences to many intellectually curious senior citizens in the greater Milwaukee area. It differentiates itself from other adult learning activities by the breadth of topics, the active participation in the organization by over 100 volunteers, the caliber of the presenters, and the continued pursuit of excellence through surveys of members and evaluation of the classes offered. The high caliber of the organization is reflected in its rapid adoption of virtual teaching made necessary by the COVID pandemic. The Institute didn't miss a beat in moving to a virtual platform. It has the technical expertise and member dedication to pull that off almost seamlessly. For me, one of the best parts of retiring was finally getting to start attending classes with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UWM, otherwise known to the members of our chapter as Osher. I've enjoyed getting together with others for lectures and classes about literature, history, science, and more. Even now, when our meetings are via Zoom, the learning and sharing continues. Her 'tips' helped me lead the virtual class with a minimal amount of missteps. This place is a huge waste of time. Do not apply here or believe these people will actually help you. My boyfriend was in two big step programs, electrician and elevator constructor. Wasted a whole year and a half. He completed his elevator operator apprenticeship and was more than half way through his electrician apprenticeship. They completely set him up to fail and failed to take responsibility for their tutors and be honest about how understaffed they are. Tutors repeated setting him up for Zoom classes and 6 times out of 10 , the tutor/teachers never showed up. He took screenshots every 5 minutes from the start of his class and until the end of the scheduled class whenever a tutor did not show up. He had to be rescheduled multiple times for the same class and they have the nerve to say he never attended. They tried to dismiss him from the program due to attendance. But when he showed them all the proof ; email verification, email threads from multiple tutors, screenshots from every class the tutors never showed up at. They claimed “ oh well I have to take the word of our tutors, they keep a detailed record of classes.” Despite the fact that when he asked for the detailed notes the apparent tutors where taking, “ oh I can’t provide those to you.” Then when he called to schedule a meeting with the owner to talk about how much evidence he had, false promises were said to set the record straight. The owner then sent him to the elevator constructor paid apprenticeship place since he had passed his apprenticeship. But when he arrived, they said they’ve never heard of big step and do not have a contract with them. After my boyfriend, notified the owner of the situation again. He says “ oh I apologize, I will straighten this right out. I will call you back tomorrow. My boyfriend has emailed and called him every day for a month and finally has given up on this place. Please heed this warning, avoid this place at all cost. They’re wasting your time and when you try to hold them accountable they will ghost you.Ohwonder98

I got my forklift license there although the OSHA and credentials I earned there really isn't helping in the real world, the experience of being away from home around others who are trying to better there life as well made my time there feel even more better. Pitt's School of Social work and associated faculty and staff work very hard to ensure the success of their students. The education is comprehensive and highly skill/practically based. Upon graduation, students should definitely be able to practice very competently in direct practice or at a systems level. Most of the faculty are excellent instructors with very relevant practical experience. The main cons are the amount of disorganization within the department and that a few instructors (a minority) aren't great at teaching.Alysse Littleberry

Average building. Some classrooms are a bit cold and could use an update, but they do have projectors. Classrooms on the first floor are lecture halls and some are quite nice (one has theater-like seating that is really comfy). A lot of great classes are offered in this building. A big downside to having classes here is that the bathrooms are far too small for the number of people in the neighboring classrooms. When a lecture hall gets out the line for the bathroom could take you 15 minutes.Caity Roach

Not good. 4/5 of the staff and professors only care about their paycheck. Which is ironic because they’re teachers. They put in little to no effort and rarely try to have a positive impact on their students lives. Ive honestly had the worst 3 years of my life attending that school. They will not care about you as a student or as a person. The only good thing about this is you form bonds with peers over the unnecessarily stressful times and verbal abuse from professors.Mule gilbo

Awesome school. Smaller class size means more help from your instructors.There are a lot of extracurricular activities and good sports programs. The Theater and English departments are outstanding, and it has top notch nursing and business programs. Son goes here, Could of graduated in 3.5 years,. Their goal is to get you a Masters Degree in 5 not 6 years. School has low student to teacher ratio which helps you get to know the Professors better. My son decided to go the 4 years because he is a RA and gets Room and board free, but if he grduated early he would of lost the RA possition and lost the free room and board.Christopher Obst

This might be a great institution for you if you do not have the following: -any impairment mentally, physically, or emotionally that professors can view as "at risk" for any future clientele -if you worry that any personal hardship (such as personal trauma, including any diagnosis formed from that experience) will be used against you in evaluation to be later dismissed from the program -if you want to openly and constructively have opposing views of the professor's perspective on material -if you display any physical, mental, and emotional characteristics that diverge from the norm (race, disability, etc) -if you want the American Disability Association regulations to be properly enforced compared to public and technical colleges -if you want a whole staff of people versus only one person to help you in disability accommodations -if you are one to choose not drop out after the first week and do not want 0% of your payments to be returned -want to have the ability to effectively transfer credits from this institution to another college if things don't work out -if you do not want to give absolute control to the faculty to dismiss you for personal reasons outside of your schoolwork -if you are afraid of the change in advisors changing the requirements to make seniors not be able to graduate as readily -If you are not ok with the idea of student evaluations of a professor going only to that professor to be seen, even if they are someone who isn’t effective amongst the workplace -are uncomfortable with the idea that if you are a student chosen to be possibly dismissed, to be given documents that are made to not be valid for a lawsuit if unfairly treated -if you want your degree to transfer outside of the Mount Mary system, this is not possible in any way Regardless of how pretty it looks like on the outside, does not mean there are not issues amongst the inside. The only way for things to change in the inside is for people to speak up about the problems that are existent so progress can be made. Mount Mary University is amazing university and the campus is very beautiful too. The staffs and professors are great and serious about your major. There are lots of resources that are available to anyone. If you don't know what you want to major, they will help you..etc.. I encourage you to attend this school if you looking for college. The best part of mount Mary is Student Success Center where you can find help; free tutor, library, career counseling, computer , browning laptop etc…Thachin Tial

I come here every now and again to visit my friend. It's a pretty easy process. The dorm uses keys still, and each floor is locked. So if you're looking for security, Mount Mary is pretty good. But the first floor is the only floor with men's bathrooms (in the dorms), which is the only downside.Eric Hupf (tkoalas)

The University of Stevens Point doesn't care about their minority student. As a current student, I've been harassed & bullied on campus and within the community. The university and police department does nothing about it. The retention rates for minority students is extremely low because students don't feel safe! This is not a diverse community.. As a student you will face some type of racism.. before coming here I didn't know what racism was because I had a diverse group of friends. Being here for 4 years has made me depressed and somewhat racist.. I don't like that at all because I love people but going through the same situations over and over you become angry because no one is helping you or trying to make it stopPirate Academy

My very first negative review…ever… I was there with a group of good friends and waited 45+ minutes between opening act. There were maybe 300 people at most there and he had roadies and still couldn't come out and made everyone wait when there are no (even water / soda) beverages sold or food / snacks….and then when my wife wanted to go outside to get some fresh air I was told I couldn't come back in even though your security staff were leaning up against the door ways playing games joking with NOONE around…it was like they waited all day to tell me I couldn't come back in…what a joke and waste of $$$Bryan Kelly Baker

I graduated in 2016. Almost every class I had was taught by a professor, and not a TA. Due to the small class sizes, I felt as if the professors were able to get heavily invested in their students. As a result, the quality of my education was excellent. The only problem with the small campus is that sometimes I felt like I was at high school 2.0. Classrooms and labs are basic, and the history of the campus is not well expressed. There wasn't much school spirit.River Rannow

As a non-traditional student, I've been through a few different schools and failed each time. Dominican has been an absolute godsend, and they've done everything in their power to ensure my success, even if it was just something as simple as giving me a call to make sure that all was well. I can't sing praises of the staff enough; the education I've received has been of amazing quality and their Bachelors degree program has given me the skills to succeed in the professional world with an edge. Whether you're a traditional student or someone looking for an online degree program, Dominican is truly where it's at if you want a school with values that will value YOU, and not just your dollar.Melody Mansour

This review pains me to write as this school is my alma mater. I would suggest against hiring interns through Dominican's internship/career development programs as it is poorly supported and their career development department will not follow up with employers. In addition Dominican promised us reimbursements for hiring through their internship program as part of the careernet grant but are yet to deliver. The program was originally applied for on August 7, 2015 and we are yet to hear back from their career development department.Ed Krause

Dominican University is a small campus near Chicago. They have a great Social Work and Library and Information Science programs. The school is very nice and some of the staff are friendly. There are many student organizations to participate. The only fault is that they don't offer Greek life like Lewis University and DePaul.Jackie Ramirez-Ceron

Union South, at the University of Wisconsin, is the place to be prior to UW home football games. The marching band makes an arrival about an hour before kickoff and showcases the incredible talents of one the country's best college bands. Enjoy a New Glarus Spotted Cow beer and loaded brat and you'll think you're in heaven. Well, maybe it's just Madison, but it's about as perfect it is gets. Then join the band for short march under the Camp Randall arch for a nostalgic walk into the home of the Badgers.Dave Chaimson

Very large campus, with I believe 35k students on average. The campus and it's buildings are very nice. Luckily, I visited before school started, so it wasn't busy at all. University of Wisconsin-Madison even has it's own ice cream shop! I believe that UWM runs it's own dairy. The path by the lake is also very beautiful, and I would recommend walking there. My only complaint is that everything seems to be very spread out, but that's a good way to get steps.Griffin May

Very strong for sociology, psychology, education, biochem, chem, chem eng., etc. Good place for raising kids on campus for grad students. Strong sports, football, basketball, hockey, etc. Very very gentle people on and off campus. Nice city full of highly educated people. Best campus for bike riding. Top hospitals. I was supposed to be in the accelerated online MBA program but unfortunately when they enrolled me in classes they failed to put my in the fast track that I was told I would be in when I was accepted. I was told I would be done in October now I am being told that is impossible. I was told I could have been done sooner if I mention this in the summer that I wanted to be enrolled in extra classes. So being told from the start that the accelrated was 14 months ending in October and then verified this was true in the September when I was considering a new job was not enough. I guess you need to check in daily about enrollment with multiple people? They take 0 responsibility for this mismarketing. They continue to say it's my fault for not asking to accelerate the accelerated program in April, had i known that at the time I would have. I talked to others that were also told that it was a 14 month program August-October and were schocked when I told them this news. I was told in a call today though that if this financially hurts me that I can wait two semesters to afford it, which when you don't have a job due to this error I don't see how two semesters makes money appear, I guess I missed this in my finance courses from here. This is a huge set back for me at my job and financially they don't really seem to care that they made a massive mistake and are taking no steps to help fix this. They also enrolled me in the wrong specialty and signed me up for the wrong special topics course, many of my classmates had the same mistake happen. It has been about a year since I notified them that my speciality was wrong and I am not told the change is pending. I also found out a special topics course in the first fall semester was never enrolled in correctly, and that is why I had two in the spring semester unlike any one else. Again they tried to blame that on me and said I withdrew from the special topics, I never did. The courses themselves and the teachers were fine. If you do this program constantly check in and don't trust you are correctly enrolled in courses or that you will complete it as promised. There are also a ton of group projects in almost every class along with asynchronous components the teacher scheduled. I had to take a lot of time off in order to do the group assignments and meet with the teachers. It is a huge hassle and everyone is on a different schedule. You can't say a program is on your own time with this amount of group projects. If you want somewhere you can trust and somewhere you can br proud to graduate from look elsewhere, I wish I did.Nicole G

If you are going there And are wanting to join Athletics I would truthfully recommend looking for a different college. This college Is struggling financially with athletics and had to cut programs in order try and make the other programs better which has not worked. Even when being on saint mary's campus things seemed rubbed down. When I would go to the dining area to grab gluten-free stuff the fridge that had all of the allergen food would be empty, so a lot of the time I would either have to buy my own food or I would just end up not eating at all. The campus is very old And if you like the old kind of scenic vibe then you might like this campus, but the thing I only really found good about this college was the scenery and the bluffs, the rest was okay but not really the best, and now switching to a different college has showed me a different side of what Saint Mary should have been like.Katie Domack

I was accepted for the online MSW program in June, didn’t have anyone return my calls or emails until late October. I attempted to speak with the financial aid department & have never received a reply back. I left countless voicemails and sent emails for help with no reply. I received two phone calls letting me know my issues are being worked on and then they were resolved. Here’s a shocker, they were not. The registration/student center department can’t even call you on the phone at the exact time they rescheduled you for because they couldn’t even make it to the original meeting. The online program is complete joke and waste of time. If I was able to travel there for assistance when I needed it or could simply depend on their departments over the phone I’d probably enroll in courses.Jacqueline Lopez
