As Greg Nichols' wife, I have some good things to say about the hospital and some not very good. The hospital is clean, nice environment, and a good cafeteria. And that's the good part. The staff on the other hand was not very professional, the nurse Linda L. was rude and did not even keep me informed of what was going on with my husband's surgery. Dr. Enriquez was very nice and he did call me after the surgery was done. He told me that the nurse would give me the update about my husband's condition and she never did. After 3 times of asking to speak with the nurse, I was able to talk to her only to hear a very rude and standoffish person on the other side of the line. Very efficient overall, however the check-in receptionist in the ER didn't even acknowledge my presence because she was too busy talking with another worker to say, I'll be right with you, OR what it's your emergency? I walked away, not even an attempt to ask what was wrong. The triage nurse was very helpful in calming my nerves at a stressful time in the ER and was very gentle. The woman who was cleaning either suffered a terrible loss lately or is not happy having a job, she seemed miserable and when a patient is made to wait in the lobby for test results, interaction with staff is vital. I've given 5 stars because the ER staff is there to save lives and they have always been there for me.carolyn perry

Friendly Check in staff and efficient. The registration was quick and easy. I went in for a minor surgery and the nurse who got me ready with the paperwork and making sure my med list was current was really rude. She didn't listen to me and i had to correct her on the things I take quite a few times. She went so far as to say that my dosage of a medication wasn't on the list I provided when it was she just needed to read the paper. But the rest of the staff was super sweet. The procedure was quick and the staff in the OR was very knowledgeable and willing to answer all my questions. Overall, this is a great hospital to go to.Hannah Chapin

I highly recommend furthering your education elsewhere. I was told INCORRECT information by those who likely get paid handsomely to tell their students CORRECT information. I am 1 1/2 years into their Masters program for MFT with 8 classes left. I withdrew from a class during their 2nd Spring AFTER inquiring from both my advisor AND the one stop coordinator Alexis. I was informed by both that I would be fine withdrawing (because I took 2 classes in Spring 1), I would maintain my FA eligibility, all would be good… fast forward 2 months, a slew of emails (initiated by mostly myself) because of multiple balance changes on my account, I am now in arrears for $900 which is expected to be paid before I can enroll in any more classes. I'm disgusted at the way they have handled this and would NEVER recommend Brandman to anyone. This comes on the heels of me having to track down a Professor because of a discrepancy on my grade (my first C). It took this Professor 6 weeks to respond to me, although I really am not surprised considering he felt it necessary to plan a personal vacation our 2nd week of an 8 week class and then called in sick the 3rd class. I mean, its not like the students aren't paying upwards of $2000 for each class, right?! I have filed a complaint with the Dept of Education and will continue to file complaints with whoever I can, because this place should not be allowed to be running with such incompetent individuals handling something as important as a person's education.Kelley C

VETERAN STUDENTS.I have been attending UmassGlobal since it was Brandman. They have dealt with the transition smoothly and ensured my accommodations for my GI Bills were met to receive full BAH. My one stop specialist Lindsey Elsensohn and campus director Melissa Brunson helped me through rough patches when the VA wouldn’t process payment due to online/name change. This school has marketed their military services but never did I expect a freaking campus director to reach out to a student to make sure I was ok. This is the only educational institution where I attended where the staff makes the first move and reaches out to their veteran students rather than wait for something to go wrong and have their students reach out to them. I can’t speak on behalf of everyone as it is not my nor anyone’s place to do so but I will say that UmassGlobal has very military friendly staff members and will go above and beyond to make sure us Vets get full use of the GI bill we earned. If you are a Vet l, like flexible course times, and are tired of “kids” at conventional university I would highly recommend this placeNathan Chin

I began my studies for my masters during the pandemic and chose brandman / UMass global because our kids highschool used them to allow students to earn both highschool and college credits. However , since I have attended and am almost done, financial aid support greatly lacks , many teachers should not be teaching, and advisors not really helping but referring you to other advisors. Everyone gives you vague answers when you do get a response and there is a great lack of communication among departments. Had someone given me a heads-up I would have waited a little longer and gone to one of the other schools that accepted me, brandman just had a faster start time. I have talked to other grads and they all feel the same as I do. So please save yourself the headache and learn from us , do your homework ask questions and make sure you feel comfortable before attending here, also once you start your credits are not transferable if you decide to switch schools. This school needs alot of work.Dan

Overpriced for a middle of nowhere boring desert town. The school lacks a lot and it shows. They try to be cool by having a rock wall or compost but NEVER lowered their prices during the start of the pandemic. i spoke with an advisor remotely and she had her ipad on the coachella ticket website. students arent even the first priority for employees on the clock. Parking is overpriced and public transportation there is a nightmare too unsafe. I wanted 2022 to be online and they options in the fall were so bad and limited. The professor does often don’t care and overwork you a lot.s

I'm a fellow alumni here so I'm familiar with the area. I came here today to eat my lunch since we can't dine in during this pandemic. So CSUN is very quiet now and it's free parking. I was able to find parking easily here and found a nice spot to eat my food while enjoying the outdoor. There were some people walking around or having picnic but CSUN is a big campus so you can social distant. Just keep in mind everything is closed and locked so if you need to use the bathroom, you likely won't find one.Peter Xaymountry

First time attended here is 2012. I cannot believe an entire decade has slipped in a blink. The campus is beautiful as usual. The 2nd floor of store still has that sushi place, cafe, and Karl’s Jr, as well as those two big screens that served us for Euro Cups in 2012 summer. new students are energetic and passionate about everything just like us before. Very health conscious, clean, and gorgeous campus. The school shop has SO MANY Bruins clothing options and styles, it's hard to choose! The staff is lovely and helpful, from the library to the stores. There are free covid tests on campus for students, too. Looking forward to a great time here! Old haunting grounds, went a week after graduation, banners were still up and the grounds landscape with flowers. Expected so much more from Cal State LA. However, there are not as many classes available, had to take Saturday classes because there were no online options or options during the week for those that work, the people at the cashiers office are highly disrespectful, housing does not assist when needed, and the campus itself is located in a bad neighborhood. There have been multiple shootings while I have attended/lived here. If you are considering other cal states choose those before Cal State LA….There is no social life at this school. The food courts close at 4-5pm and several cars have been broken into. By far my worst choice I could have made was to attend this school. I feel like they do not care about their students. Sucks because I heard so many good things about Cal State Long Beach Dominguez Hills and chose this school thinking it would be similar, but has turned out to be the opposite.Carlos Perez-Robles

I transferred from LACC to this University to pursue my BS in Mechanical Engineering and It has been a great experience so far. Most of professor are caring and really good at the subject they teach. In addition, most of professors do not force you to buy the books listed for the class, instead they give you options to access the material. They have many resources to help students succeed. For instance, they are letting students borrow Ipads for the length of their carreers. They also let us borrow laptops and even hot spots. Furthermore, it is like any other University, if you want to succeed and graduate, you have to work hard 🤷🏾. In conclusion, it is a great school that is also affordable.Santos Cabrera

After transferring from ELAC I did almost 3 years at CSULA and I got my Bachelor of Science. I got help whenever I needed from faculty, financial aid and other resources inside the campus. I was able to met great friends and professors too. There is always activities to do inside the campus, every semester they do orientations for new students, often you get emails regarding anything related to our education and campus. I really had a great time when I was student here and now I'm planning to come back to get my Masters degree.Luis Martinez

This school could use some updates. I applied to one of the graduate programs. I received an email indicating to fill out a printed version of the application to the program. Everything has to be printed on paper. I also had to make an order money check to pay for the application and other payments. I believe there should be options do to it online. I had to pay overnight shipping for I did not what my private information to be lost. There was a worker that has helped me a lot of the questions, but still made me uneasy about the program. I did not receive any notification when my application was received. The only way I knew it was received was because a worker called me to ask me a few questions about my application. Months went by. I called April and admissions did not know anything about my status on my application. I had to call someone in the program. (Same worker that was helping me). She said by mid April the school should know who they are accepting. Mid April pass now it is towards the end of May. I still have not received anything from the school. I called to ask again and the same worker told me end of May. There are only four days left for the end of May. Fall semester usually starts in August. No notification at all from the school. No rejection notification, nor waitlisted, nor acceptance. A friend even jokingly said “Does this school even exist?”. So disappointing. I cannot even plan my education without knowing if I got accepted or not. Maybe I should have applied to other schools.nvstar

Amazing experience. CSU Bakersfield doing Covid vaccines for anyone that wants one. All thats needed is photo ID. Very professional, very friendly, and very quick staff. The entire time from parking in the abundant parking spaces to walking to the facility, waiting in line, getting the show, waiting the 15 minutes, and leaving was less than an hour. Thank you to everyone the set up, ran, and administered the vaccines. Your staff are the real heros. The participants even were on point by following the guidelines to make the experience enjoyable.Kevin Butler

This is a good college, with many great professors, especially in the psychology department. This area has far fewer people, so it's easier to go to school here than some of the other more crowded universities down below. It's not a great place to live, not so much because it's a bad town, but because of the air-quality. But you're much more likely to pay lower rent, and find it easier to go to college here, if you're considering going to a CSU. I'm grateful for my time there.Brian Dillard

I went here off an on for a.few years however I moved out of state for 2 yrs when I returned I went on to order transcripts and saw I had a bill In further review I saw there were classes added to my acct but the format they use now canvas and such isnt something I've used. It's been years since I've taken classes. Well the classes were never dropped and never paid for but they are charging me for them. Classes that are way off of anything I've ever taken. Well no one will help me they keep saying I added them etc etc. Rediculous. I was a pre nursing major and the classes are like wildlife law stuff. Idek what to do. Makes me sad bcuz I don't even want to send my daughter here now.Merri Suydam

I've heard that it's a good place to start at, that's it. Trying to get ahold of ANYONE in charge there is a lost cause. Trying to report baseballs hitting our cars in the neighborhood from their baseball practice, reporting student cars parked in front of my driveway, and now trying to get anything done about the excessively loud music played while their baseball practice is going on….no one responds. The neighbors and I can hear the music from six houses down across the street….and from inside our homes!!! Their coaches clearly are not concerned about teaching any moral values or respect.Bug Lover

Inconsiderate college. They have courses listed for students to sign up only for them to get cancelled shortly after. They claim "low enrollment" but the classes that are available are filled to capacity. There are 100 students in one of classes with no online option! They do not care of the risk COVID. Professors don't even answer their emails when you ask them about available classes they are teaching. Go to CSUB and stop wasting your time with these chumps!M C

My daughter got admission in this university for her masters. She chose this university amongst many invites she got from east and west coast….owing to it's high reputation. We went with her for her orientation. We were impressed by the massive campus spread in Acres. Beautiful imperial style old architecture. Beautiful paved roads inside everywhere. Beautiful landscaping. There are many shops we were told in just adjacent USC village. Coffee shops inside. A book store with necessities for sale for students. Baseball ⚾️ and other grounds. Security guards on every entrance. Students' insurance done by university. They say the faculty is also good. University housing is available but there are lots of student housing around. Very nice campus. However, the building style are pretty much same styles within the campus. This place is so well maintained it is so clean. I saw at least 10 security guards within my one hour visit. And the whole campus is well confined within its own boundaries. I believe it must be very safe within the campus. Beautiful campus filled with amazing minds. I really loved the building styles and the way campus is maintained. It’s a tough university to get into for a reason. Very convenient for getting professional/industrial training. Clean facility, easy to find, friendly staff, and quick painless process. I received my Passport training here, which certifies me in basic oil field safety to grant me low-level access to most leases. The class was very informative (though it's mostly common sense safety) and the instructor, Bob McQueen, kept it interesting with moments of levity despite teaching a serious topic, one which should not be taken lightly. Great extension campus with professors that care. The main campus didn't always seem to support this campus as much when I went, but at that time, it was a new campus. If you miss taking a class, you may have to wait until the following year when it is available again… At least you have the option to go somewhere close if you're in that area.Brian Dillard

Please dont send your kids here. There are fights that are quite violent and this school is very terrible for kids with mental health issues, and your children are even more vulnrable if they need special ed. On top of that, school shooting threats are NOT taken seriously and recently as of this review they will not shut down their school even after 10+ students have reported that there are threats happening.Timid Lily
