Review Summary

This is for the billing department: I would suggest not setting up auto pay for a medical bill. If you can send payments in or pay in full but do not give them authorization to debit automatically. I set up a payment plan and needed to change the due date a month before the payment was set to debit from my card. The day finally came to debit and they decided to take 50.00 more than what I set the plan up for. I called and was able to get the 50 refunded but the lady informed me there was a note on my account by a supervisor stating because I changed the date the plan took double and I was informed when I changed the date by a pop up box thru MyChart. That doesn’t make any sense at all. Why would someone go thru with changing the date of something to get double debited. If that was the case I may as well have set the plan up for 100.00. Anywho, today I get a notification from my bank stating another 100.00 dollars debited. Again the plan was only set for 50.00. So what’s the excuse this month??? A clean, crisp, professional, state-of-the-art institution! The vibe is amazing as students are gathered in many study spaces either collaborating together or simply hanging out. And their rec center/ gym is top notch. How cool for competitive gym to be sunken in three floors? We were very impressed with Jordan Laird, one of the admissions personnel, who took over 2 hours with us going over all aspects of the college, the tremendous amenities, and discussed all the fun campus life opportunities. And then she took us on an extensive tour of all the facilities, professional buildings, and residential offerings. And can’t say enough about Starbucks and Chick-fil-a steps from class or dorm. Review Summary

The staff at the registrars office needs a lot of work. They have made the process of requesting a transcript a disaster. As a "catholic" educational institute the school should understand the need of transcripts and do their best to accommodate students in there path of continuing education. The staff needs to work on both their customer service skills and conflict resolution practices. The behavior of the staff during phone conversations and email correspondence has been completely inappropriate. Our firm would separate from individuals with their antics as soon as possible. I have been requesting my transcript since July 28 and my new school has still not received it. It my understanding that my transcript was finally sent on August 8 but I have been given no proof of that. UMSL understood my concerns on the situation and offered to accept the transcript via email. I sent an email to SLU at 10:40 asking them to send my transcript to UMSL via email as soon as possible. After hearing no response, I sent two additional emails at 12:30 and 2:00 but still received no response or indication my emails had even been requested. I finally called the school at 2:30 and the assistant registrar argued with for several minutes about how I was insulting and didn't allow them time to respond. However, she was well aware of the situation and knew who I was before I even mentioned my name. Instead of arguing for several minutes with a disrespectful attitude the correct method for resolution would have been apologizing for my experience and trying to accommodate my needs. After I explained it is taking more time to argue then to fix the situation I was told it would be emailed that day. At 3:30 I received a completely inappropriate email in which I responded with my concerns on how the school handled the situation. In my opinion the school is more of hassle than it is worth. You should always put the education of your students or former students first instead of treating someone with utter disrespect. I have asked to sit down with whoever oversees the registrars office. I have several suggestions on how the staff can improve and work with students in a respectful and helpful matter.Chelsea Langeneckert

It's a private university, so it costs more than others in the area, but if you have financial need or have great grades, you can get a LOT of help. The school itself feels very separate from the surrounding area. It's almost as if going into another city when you step off campus. The professors are wonderful, the reputation is good, and honestly the grounds are beautiful. I don't regret my time here and would happily attend again.Chelsea

The lack of compassion, inclusion and accessibility of this office astonishes me.  My mother-in-law who suffers from anxiety especially when it comes to meeting new people in new places, is also deaf and only reads lips and does not know ASL, also has early stage dementia. Her primary doctor suggested she do some physical therapy for hip and knee pain and referred us to this office. For over 7 years now I have gone to every doctor appointment with my mother-in-law since I'm her closest hearing relative. As lip reading is very difficult, most lip readers only catch about every third or fourth word and try to piece together what is actually being said to them, then the anxiety of being in a new place with new people just adds to this difficulty. I'm not only her daughter-in-law, I'm also her daily primary caregiver, so she is very familiar and comfortable reading my lips versus reading a total strangers. Since the onset of covid, I have acquired clear masks to the company her to doctor appointments. I have not once come across throughout St Charles County and St Louis City an office that would not cooperate with us, until this office. They want a deaf, dementia, anxiety patient to go into a strange room with a stranger, alone. This office refuses to cooperate and allow me to accompany and interpret for my mother-in-law as ALL other medical facilities have allowed. We will be taking our business elsewhere to an office that is more understanding of their clients.felecia lewis

I'm not exaggerating when I say this is one of the best physical therapy clinics I've ever been too, and I've had my fair share of physical therapy in the past. I am always greeted by the lovely ladies working at the front desk who are more than happy to assist me with scheduling and more. The newly renovated clinic also has some of the friendliest, knowledgable, and talented therapists you'll ever meet. I have had the pleasure of being paired up with Caitlin twice now and I've been genuinely amazed at her ability to identify my impairments and causes of pain, and effectively treat them. The issue I'm currently seeing her for has been bothering me for over 5 years now, and I have seen multiple therapists in the past, but no one has been able to truly address and correct the problem until I started going to Caitlin. On the very first visit, she was able to identify exactly what was wrong and even discovered how it was connected to pain I had elsewhere. Needless to say, she is a fantastic therapist and every time I see her is like a breath of fresh air. I have been extremely satisfied with the treatment and care I have received here, and will continue to go here for all my future physical therapy problems.
