I would not recommend this school, I am truly and whole heartedly regretful of choosing this school over all of the other options I had. Something about this school stood out to me, and the counselors here try really hard to get you in. I do not identify with Christian faith and I am not religious at all so I initially felt weird about going to this school, but they mention multiple times that they accept all faiths and backgrounds so I felt better. However, upon talking their forced “Christian Worldview” class, the teacher grades with an iron fist for a 101 class and is just awful. My GPA for sure was going to plummet due to this stupid 101 class that they force on you. Honestly it was so ridiculous that I felt the need to reach out to my advisor. I was trying to come up with a solution because I felt some type of way about this. I suggested them placing me with a different teacher, since this teacher has AWFUL reviews going back years yet they do nothing about it. However they pretty much told me I still had to take the class, I could not switch to another teacher (you cannot pick your own teachers by the way which is huge for me now). Their only solution was that “another teacher would review my work.” This turned me off so bad from the entire school that I ended up withdrawing due to principal which messed up my financial aid. They honestly did not care one bit and obviously know there is a problem but do nothing to address it. I was so turned off that I chose to mess up my financial aid and just pick another school, there was no way that I was finishing out my degree here after this. Go elsewhere !!Taylor

I am an Atheist. I chose this college because it had the focus I was looking for, the delivery method was fully online so I could continue to work, and the price was the best around. I did not feel like being of the Christian faith was a prerequisite. My instructors and professors were not pushy with religion, and for a master's program, I felt like I was able to learn what was necessary for the field I was in. I have a Master's degree and 2 focuses now from GCU and I couldn't be happier with my education and experience. The guidance counselors were great, the financial aid process was easy, and I'm grateful for GCU and all they have done for me.April Wittmeyer

Parking in Garage building#7 on 33rdAvewas the best for going into the areana. We had to checkin at theguard station, drive around it then enter the parking garage. Parking was allowed on the 2ndfloor and above. It was the AFHE homeschool senior graduation. The campuswas very green. The areana was building #38 there is a museum to JERRY COLANGELO here and a beautiful tripple cross monument. The restrooms are spacious and everything but the soap dispensers are automated. I spent from 2012 – 2016 completing my undergraduate program with my Bachelors of Arts in Video Game Design. Where I worked 40+ hours a week, maintained my family life, and completed my program online. In my 4 years every professor that I had was extremely supportive an really promoted and communicated the expectations and understanding of the quality of work that needed to be done as well as the opportunities for students to continue being successful with academics while navigating life challenges. From work/life balance to family medical emergencies everyone single professor was able to help me navigate those challenges while not having to exit school for any duration of time. When I finished my undergraduate program, I left UAT with a solid knowledge and understanding of what it took to make games and how to get that career path started. Because of my positive experience at UAT the first time I decided to go back for a graduate program with a Masters of Science in Technology Leadership. During this time, I was not working and had every opportunity to focus 100% on school for the 2 years I was enrolled. Then COVID 19 happened, UAT was able to quickly adapt and conquer the challenges that social distancing and remote working guidelines had put on almost the entire nation. UAT used its knowledge and passion for technology to not only mitigate COVID challenges but also keep every student on track to succeed in their educational journey with little to no delay. I finished my Masters program and during my exit interview found out that I could dual major with just a few more classes, so I decided to extend my stay there for one more term and finish my Masters of Science in Video Game Production and Management as well. Conclusion If your looking for an education in the technology space, heavily consider UAT as your choice to attend. Let me start off by saying I wish I could give this school a 2.5. I went to this school (2016) with financial problems immediately. I had a financial adviser who told me that I could attend school there and everything had been paid for. Literally after five minutes of being there I was told that she hadn't checked if I could actually attend there, but had only assumed. This was a huge problem seeing as I had flown from Washington to Arizona to attend this school. Upon my nine months there my financial adviser had changed three times. The only thing I really enjoyed was Renee, she has always been kind to me and my situation even to this day. In regards to the academic side of the school, I don't think you get much out of classes for what you're paying. With how much you end up paying a single class would be $180 which is completely insane when a few of the professors don't actually teach you anything. I was a Programming Major and from what I saw and from how I was treated if you already knew how to program or you picked up on it really fast you were automatically favored – this also went for the Game Art degree. During my classes I had been accused of cheating off of a peer when I didn't. Some of the classes are a real challenge though and they were definitely worth the $180. Now onto Founder's Hall. I was an RA there for 6 months. The dorms are messy and there's hardly anyone in the dorms that's social. Due to this their rooms are disgusting and a lot of rooms here do have cockroaches – it really doesn't matter if you're clean or messy, there's cockroaches. I will say that the school seems to be doing a bit better with the dorms and the cafe and what not, but people are still falling out of that school due to the fact that it costs way too much for anyone coming from middle-class or lower. I wouldn't have left if it wasn't for someone who was finishing up his last semester. He was a close friend and had expressed to me how he hoped I wouldn't stay here and have my money sucked out of me and end up with a degree and no job.kkylenkk

My son and I have been so impressed with the staff at UAT that we sent them letters telling them so. We appreciated the warm welcome, well-coordinated incoming events, personable staff and flexibility for students. The communications throughout the year have been great as a parent back here in Minnesota. The logical response to the unprecedented demands for Covid19 included thoughtful adjustments for the residence hall, school operations and courses. My son received support and accommodations for ADHD, anxiety and depression. Ashley in Student Services has been an incredible support and advocate for him. We were able to meet with her together and I was immediately grateful that she was so knowledgeable and warm. I knew he would be lucky to have her as a support. Ashley is enthusiastic and genuinely interested in students. She makes a point to reach out to them and visit the Commons as well. Although my son has been an excellent student in the past, he struggled with the new responsibility of creating his own schedule. Being overwhelmed and anxious led him to fall behind significantly. Ashley supported him, brainstormed options and coordinated schedule adjustments. Teachers provided accommodations on an ongoing basis. I recognize the understanding and time this degree of extra coordination requires. They deserve recognition also. My son and I both felt that what he has learned at UAT, both in and out of classes, was even greater since he developed skills through these struggles. Signing up was easy, I was provided help at every step in order to insure my success when I completed my diploma, I felt confident enough to move forward with a degree. Once I completed my diploma and as I have been working on my degree I have had the best career advisor. Even though life got busy with work, school and home issues and sometimes I did not respond, my career counselor Marianne Cooper never gave up on me. I attended Brookline College online in the Medical Office Administration program. From the beginning at admission, to the instructors and career services it has been a great experience. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Bryan University. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Advanced Professional Fitness Training and Exercise Science. The training was top notch and immediately applicable to real-world situations. All the instructors I encountered have a sincere desire to help students become successful. Since graduating, I have obtained a senior management position in a local high-end fitness club and the ability to start my own successful fitness business. I have also become an Adjunct Strength and Conditioning Instructor at my local Community College and started a fitness video-cast with a fellow Bryan University graduate. I just graduated from Bryan back in October with my BS in Exercise Science. I was a little bit skeptical about taking online courses, but once I got into it I found for me it was the only way to go. It fit well into my schedule, and for most mods you were in an actual online class. So you got to see fellow classmates and your instructors. Courses were challenging but not more than you can handle. I continued to work full time while completing my course work. Also, they have great instructors at Bryan University. They are very knowledgeable and were always willing to lend a helping hand if I had any questions about a class or assignment, or if I needed more help understanding a specific topic. Can't say enough about the instructors I had. I am currently a fitness director and personal trainer at a local athletic club, and also a strength coach at a local Catholic high school. Literally within a week of my graduation I got a job offer at one of the premier fitness clubs in the country. I stumbled into Bryan University unsure if I was ready to go back to school. To say I was scared would be an understatement, so many things I didn't think of prior suddenly popped up. I originally signed up to attempt my Associates degree after three years I finished with my Bachelors because of Bryan University I am now working towards my Masters. As a pharmacy student, I had a requirement of taking some public health courses. These courses were excellently taught and provided a great amount of helpful and useful information. These included socially responsible public health initiatives and disease tracking, prevention, and control. An introduction to epidemiology was included. I wish i didn't have to give a star. My wife graduated at the Tucson location, she got hired to work at the Phoenix location as an on call type of basis, and she recently got accepted to go to grad school here. She wanted a new agenda that she can use for her classes. I noticed my wife had 4 University of AZ agendas she used during her undergrad studies. She could've used an agenda from Walmart but she really liked supporting her school by buying an agenda every year from University of AZ until she graduated with her bachelors degree. Now she's a graduate student and I decided to buy her a new one. When I went to visit the Phoenix campus the security was very rude. They called the library to see if it was okay for me to visit. Really? You have to have permission to view the library? The security told me that I'm strictly only allowed to go straight to the library and no where else. This is a different experience for me because when I visited University of AZ Tucson location they're very kind to family members, visitors, and students. Security is very un-welcoming at the Phoenix location. I don't know why they need to be rude when all they deal with majority of the time is students and family members that are excited to visit the campus of loved ones. Family members that are supportive to the school students and staff. When I arrived to the bookstore I was told that they don't carry or sell agendas of any kind. I looked online for the bookstore and I called the number online. Sadly, the person from the bookstore told me over the phone that University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix location doesn't carry agendas and hung up without saying goodbye or see if I had any further questions. As a patient, I have come across residents amd instructors from multiple disciplines and here are my concerns about the quality of medical professionals who graduate from this school: 1. I am concerned that residents are being taught greed over patients best interests. This means the graduate will be too quick to perform a medical test when the symptoms that a patient has does not line up with the disease or illness that the patient has. This also means medically unnecessary surgeries and the disrespect of informed consent. 2. The graduate will have no critical thinking skills and lacks the ability to keep up with medical research. This in turn will lead misdiagnosis in patients as well as unnecessary treatment while the underlying condition is not treated. Remember, the medical organizations such as American College of Gynecogy, etc. guidelines are written for the physician best interest and not the patient best interest. Take a look at the 2018 diabetic guidelines and their justification for increasing the recommended A1C levels. Instead of addressing the cost of insulin,, they raised the target A1C levels which in turn has the potential to shorten the life expectancy of diabetics in the long run. 3. The graduate is only educated in the white suburban middle class culture. What does this mean, they will be biased to and quick to judge anyone who does not fit in the white middle class suburban culture which is the majority of America. This I an amazing place. With one year of back pane from an injured spine due to an 80 mph car accident. This place has given me my life back. Before I went to this school I was a little intimidated by the whole process. However I found that my concerns were put to rest when I attended one of their career nights and then attended the school. THe schedule was flexible and allowed me to go as fast or slow as I needed as I progressed through the material. I found that Sally was a wealth of information as well as Brett and Mike. Curriculum covered everything I needed to know to pass the exam and I had the full sport of the school when I took my test.Making the whole process less intimidating and daunting. I had been going to Midwestern Dental for over 6 years. I am 60 years old and unfortunately needed a lot of work done. Root canals, bone regernation (3 times in different areas), implants, cleanings and more. Each visit the student and the instructor go over every tooth and logged in their computer the different challenges with each tooth. I have had an issue with enamel loss on my front teeth. I did not realize that the enamel continues to erode . They never once said that this was a priority. Recently I went to their clinic because I saw in a mirror that you could see through my teeth! They then informed me that this was beyond their expertise . I asked if they could put something behind them so they didnt break off and they said it could not be done because my jaw had shifted and there was no room. They said that I could pick up my records on my way out. (I didn't because I was in tears so they sent them certified mail the next day). Devastation doesn't even explain how I feel. Two weeks later my front tooth broke off. I went to a private practice dentist and he informed my that there was only two options. I needed to get dentures or there was a procedure where I can keep most of my teeth. It is called a "all on one" dental implant. Of course that was the option I prefered. Then he gave me the estimate and it runs between $15,000-$25,000. (I got a second opinion and researched prices and unless I go to Mexico that is the price). That wasn't even the worse part. When the jaw shifted it caused irreparable damage. I could not be more depressed. I trusted the students and it cost me in many ways.Marcie Ross

I originally went to Mid Western to get 2 teeth fixed and a small partial. They since have pulled 5 molars removed my bridge never gave antib after the removal. My dental student was very rude to her assistant as well. Went thru a lot of issues since the extractions with my health. My BP elevated everything I was there due to stress. Never got the teeth I originally went there to fix. Finally quit going after my student pricked herself with the needle and I had to get blood drawn foe her safty….never once was given an apology. I have been going to Midwestern University for over a year. It is a teaching college. I go for the dental work. Then are set up with a team and then you have the same students. When one graduates the other one moves up and they assign a new assistant student. The students are outstanding and caring. It does take more time but if you have the time it is worth it. Their prices are very good. What was going to cost me between $10,000 and $12,000 cost less than $4,000.Catherine Young

Just visiting to get my daughter moved in for her first year. Spent the day walking around the campus. It is a nice walk with a light rain. Not too hot today. Lots of students, lots of building. The student union is fast food central with all the popular eateries present. Communication with parents could use some improvement. We expected to attend some sessions with my daughter but once we arrived we were informed it was for students only. Closing out the evening watching the marching band in their first public performance. My daughter loves the campus and is looking forward to the start of classes next week.Stacey Brewer

Went to football game and had lots of fun. But I was surprised when I found out the hard way that the concession stands don't take cash. They only take cards. It made it hard because we took cash. Luckily it was a night game because we wouldn't have been able to sit in the sun without water. Also lots of people had to go back to their cars and leave their purses and bags. The Arizona Sands Club is so wonderful. The atmosphere is second to none and the food is phenomenal. Chef Hogg is a master of his trade. I've never had a bad meal here. Worst service ever. First it took me 5 hours on hold(tried multiple times in two days) to get to speak to someone. Just to find out that ASU doesn’t notify you when you have a bill coming up or amount due, till the last date and due date. Obviously they like to collect the late fees. “It’s students responsibility to keep an eye on it”, yea sure, then don’t pretend like you care about your students. Won’t be enrolling in any classes no more with this school. The whole experience with this school was mediocre, from financial aid support, to coaching and Academic advisers. People who were in these roles were constantly changing. I would constantly get phone calls from academic advisor, before ever notifying me via e mail or message. They can’t help you with simple things like editing your resume or finding and internship. They absolutely did nothing, and the classes are waste of time and money, most of the classes I took could’ve been a 10 min YouTube video. Don’t waste your time or resources on ASU. This university consistently shows they only care about money and not the students. I have two full-time kids attending. The financial aid department lacks professionalism, follow-up, and follow-through. We have experienced this two years in a row. We did financial aid months in advance and my kids are trying to start and are still not financially cleared. We spend hours on hold day after day and get hung up on, live chats disconnected, and when you get a hold of someone they are rude and do not take action. They make millions in profits and are understaffed and hire people that don’t care about students. It is funny how private colleges are held accountable for job placement and graduation rates. They also provide quality customer service. State funded schools don’t have to report on job placement and their retention rates are horrific and they priced zero customer service…going to drop this joke of a place and find a good private school.Rodney Fitzsimmons

Really nice campus, a lot of expansion and improvement construction has happened over the past 10 years. It is a little hard to access certain areas without at least a little walk. Having a bike to get around campus is really helpful. if you’re visiting town I’d recommend visiting campus while you’re here, plenty to see and a lot to experience in the area.Cameron Baker

I called to ask about the pricing on a course that I was going to take with this college!! A woman by the name of TRISH , was very rude she did not have good customer service skills , she over talked me FROM WORD GO , she assumed that I WAS GETTING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ! which I’m not IM PAYING OUT OF POCKET , once I made her aware of this she seem to have gotten more edgy, I asked to speak with someone that could explain better !! I got my undergraduate and now working on my Masters at U of P. Nothing was ever hidden. You have to do your homework and know what the heck you are doing and keep yourself informed and ask the right questions. You cannot expect people to do your work for you. The tuition and costs are laid out on their website plain as day. I did a ton of research on the degree I am working towards, the costs and responsible borrowing. I made sure I knew what the accreditation's were and that I can be licensed in my state. Its work but my responsibility to know what I am signing up for. I loved the enrollment counselors, and can ACTUALLY get through to them and get personal responses same day most of the time unlike the bigger schools where you are lost in the crowd. the courses are great but beware if financing, when inquiring about enrolling you will be told you will NOT have to pay anything until 6 months after graduation. That is a lie! Also the student advisors are horrible. I receive mixed messages, some advisors told me about options at the end of my degree that " was now too late", had I been told by an advisor earlier it wills have been an option. I was encouraged to take courses through outside programs Sophia and Study.com but was NEVER told that would cause problems with my financial aid. So when I am 2 classes away from graduating now I cannot because I do not have $3,000+ to pay out of pocket. I would never recommend UOP to anyone. Go someplace else for your degree!Michelle Garcia

The school has a great grounds-keeping department and whoever is in charge of the gardening deserves the highest praise as the whole place looks great. The actual running of the college though I can only assume was left to a team of highly trained orangutans… tuition is overpriced but that is a problem with all universities now, the biggest issue is the ridiculous cost of things like housing, parking, and other "nickle and dime" items. A parking pass for the year costs as much as a course in it's own right and even if you have one good luck finding a spot as most of the parking lots have been removed (more on that in a second). Unless you live in the over-priced and under maintained campus housing then expect to either ride the bus or bike onto campus in two feet of snow. The source of many of NAU's problems comes from it's overzealous admissions department, the college had 21,000 students at it's Flagstaff campus last year (almost a third the population of the town itself) and the bureaucracy of the school is not able to handle the strain. Classes are often huge and many times student's cannot get into the class they need or ending up with an over worked professor who doesn't have time to offer any of the personal attention that usually sets them apart from a k-12 teacher. On-campus housing is also a joke as in a mad rush to get more students (read tuition income) new dorms and apartments are being thrown up left and right with no regard for planning or quality often replacing existing buildings or as previously mentioned tearing up much needed parking lots.Weston Sanders

I wouldn’t recommend Northern Arizona University to anyone. Be very leery when it comes to dealing with their financial aid department. For nearly two months, I have been trying to get a fraudulent charge by the school on my account overturned. After much run around, I was told that the billed amount was justified by a policy which is not available for student access and more than likely doesn’t exist at all. Several times, I asked for a copy of the policy and was told that they there was nothing for me to review. I was directed to review another policy instead that had nothing to do with my situation and was told that the amount that I owed the school was calculated based on that policy. Just about all of our conversations are documented. I received an email from a director in their financial aid department where she acknowledges their lack of transparency with policies and tells how they will be using my experience to pretty much create a policy to cover them in the future, making their unjustifiable actions justifiable. My question is, how do you acknowledge your misconduct and still not see fit for the charge to be overturned? You don’t have to settle for a school where nobody really truly cares about what happens to the students…as long as they get their checks.Tanisha Hiley

Northern Arizona University is a great university. It is small, it guarantees that you get all the classes you need to graduate on time, and classes are small and professors friendly. I got two degrees from The Franke College of Business, and I loved the school and faculty. The building is state-of-the-art, and the faculty is very qualified. Faculty genuinely care about the students (before research etc). All my friends had multiple career opportunities lined up by the time they graduated. The university provides incredible value, and is located in a beautiful college town.Arve Hammeren

This may be a good law school, but beware, after 3 years of pretty hard work and $80-90k invested, you may graduate but the chances of finding a law job that pays more than $40-60k per year, or any law job at all, will be very difficult, assuming you have passed the Bar exam. This I know from experience. …So, you might want to think about it, seriously, before embarking on this journey.Ha Go

I am not a College of Law student but the building is very modern and well-maintained. It was the first law school built in the state of Arizona and changed its name in 1962. It has a total student body of 500 students and 84.4% Uofa’s graduating class of 2017 law students were employer 9 months after graduation.daniel tirsoreanu
