This school is some sort of racket, I would recommend looking elsewhere to receive your degree. The school’s “academic advisors” are actually the program directors and professors, so they have a personal interest in what classes they put you in and won’t let you choose or advocate for yourself. Because of this, they are also not interested in solving problems you may face because then they’d have to take responsibility for them. The TAs barely know what they’re supposed to be instructing you in, and will get flustered if you have a question and do the work for you instead of actually teaching you to be self-sufficient. Additionally, the course descriptions are severely lacking and you will find that the instruction for nearly all classes feels very clandestine and disorganized. There is no transparency or way to make an informed decision at this “school”. For those living on campus in student housing, you may experience mold, insects, and furniture caked in animal hair. The school will not put effort into remedying this. The cafeteria food is abysmal after the first week of classes. There is a large foreign student population at this school, FIT may be relying on their newness to the States in order to maintain their poor standards. For those of us who value receiving a first-world and excellent education, I suggest NOT ATTENDING FLORIDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.K Washington

First. This place has its ups & downs. But one thing’s for sure, they provide quality education as good as Ivy leagues. 80% of Professors are great at teaching. Some will even be the reason youre passionate about you’re major. Downside to this place is the QS ranking(doesn’t exist on there). But they make up to that by being well known in the community & having connections with big engineering companies. I graduated may2020 with an Bsc in ME. & am now getting my masters at UCI in MAE. Let me tell you I study with students from berkely & UCSD & I am just as knowledgeable as they are or even better at times. One of the downsides is the extremely expensive university housing which you’re forced as an international student to stay in for 1 year. Wish FIT imvested a bit more on better parking lol. Best 4 years of my life. Even though Melbourne is extremely boring. Orlando & miami are 1 & 2:30 hours away. Don’t ever estimate the quality of education FIT is providing. I once did & now know better. Take up that panther 🐆 pride. One last thing. You’ll get to see rockets 🚀 taking off every couple weeks from campus. Florida Tech has been my home away from home. The energy the place and the people have is unique and would say that I am as happy as I can be here at Florida Tech. Ever since I started attending school here I felt like my education and wellness was more than covered. It has given me connections and friendships that will last forever and I will forever be grateful to have chosen Florida Tech. My professors have always been caring and helpful and I have never felt like I didn't belong here. I loved the community and how many different clubs and organizations they have, so socializing has been an easy part as well. When I initially came into this school I wanted to eventually go into their graduate program. The admissions advisor told me that I would have a higher change if I got my undergrad there as well. So I did. I graduated with a 3.4, the teachers were amazing and then I go to apply for my graduate program. Due to covid the interview was over the phone. The gentleman that interviewed me asked me why I wanted to go into mental health and I explained to him how in the past I had a substance abuse problem (I wanted to be as honest as I could) because I had been saved and I felt like my purpose was to be a vessel of god and help others. The minute I said that to him he answered “I AM SORRY BUT I DONT KNOW HOW I WILL BE ABLE TO PRESENT YOU IN FRONT OF THE COMMITTEE” “MAYBE YOU SHOULD TAKE SOME TIME OFF”. He did finish the interview but weeks later I received a letter saying that I was denied admission to the school. I was already in the school, so I called and no one understood why I wasn’t accepted. My advisor was confused, my teachers and myself. When I asked why I wasn’t accepted so that I can work on it and fix it no one knew. They said the committee looks at different things and decides. I had classmates with lower GPAs that were admitted, I had one friend who had failed a class and was admitted and I wasn’t admitted simply because I have a past with mental health. I asked to email someone so I may get an answer as to why this happened. They didn’t even send me the proper letter stating I wasn’t accepted into the program. No one ever got back to me and honestly it shattered me because here I am paying 3 times the amount of a state university to be discriminated by my past. I personally did not like the college. I decided to leave after one semester because I didn’t feel the Christian culture as I should have. They don’t cater to commuter students. And the professors that I had didn’t care if you learned or not. The people in student services were rude to me and it showed me their true colors. They are nice when they want you to apply and mean after you apply. They lie and say they have scholarships to offer you and then in the end you have to take out loans. They chose my classes because I was a freshman and I didn’t like most of my teachers. They also put me in the wrong math class and when I transferred out it took so long that I already miss majority of the work and had to drop the class altogether. I wouldn’t recommend this college at all. They were expensive for no reason. I also didn’t like that they force you to do community service. When offering to the community it should be our choice because it will be in good will and our own choice. I got scammed by getting a 10k grant and got stuck with owing the school WAY more then was suppose to. The administration never gets back to you, and the new president gives all her work off and doesn’t try to reach out to the students- even when asked. We are locals. It all started with an inquiry to the dealership from an online ad. We got an immediate response from a salesperson named Jose Sanchez. We had already been through a few other dealerships whose ads had prices that were "pre-inspection" or didn't show the down payment or other add-ons. Very misleading! Very disappointing. However, Jose told us right up front there would only be $998 dealers fees, tax, title. The price was exactly as advertised. The car was perfect, detailed and ready to show. I am a 2020 high school graduate and this was the best decision I have ever made for my self. I decided instead of going to a big college and putting myself in major debt, I would start here by getting my CNA. This was a five week program and when it’s completed you not only receive your CNA but you receive for HHA as well. It has already opened the door to multiple job opportunities for me with competitive pay rates as a recent graduate! This school cares about you and they go above and beyond to help you not just with school but with anything you need. Our instructor was Marcia Jackson and she for sure was hands down the best you could ask for. She will go out of her way to help with anything you need (personal or educational). She gives tips and tricks to make these way easier and she becomes a friend that you can confide in if needed be. She cares about her students and the group of people I had in my class became a big family and we all have outstanding grades just by the way she teaches!! I don’t normally give reviews but I highly recommend BNA! I entered BNA with no knowledge of the medical Field or what I really wanted to do. Today, I passed my CNA state exam, something that I never thought id be doing. And I give thanks to my instructor Mrs Marcia Jackson. She is an amazing teacher, she took time to really explain medical information I didn’t understand as well show us how to be successful doing our skills. And she never got tired of answering my questions, she is my Angel! And like her, the rest of the staff are just amazing from the secretary (Stephanie) who convinced me that I could do the CNA program to Mrs Mardella who helped guide me through clinicals. Truly an amazing school who care and go over and beyond. I went to the CNA program and loved it, from the beginning to the end, was welcomed and treated nicely by the staff. They guided me through all the steps needed to enter the program and be successful. Ms. Marcia is simply amazing. I highly recommend her. Her passion for teaching and caring for others made this program a great experience. She made the class fun and tought us everything we needed to know to succeed in both, the tests and in the skills. Overall I had a great time and was given the skills and experience needed to go out there and feel confident in my ability to care for others. My biggest concern with these traffic schools is that we're sharing a lot of confidential information. I called in advance of signing up, (was able to actually get through and speak with someone) and the gentleman on the phone was courteous and assured me that they do not share any of the information with third parties. He also informed me that the data they needed was birthdate, DL number, citation number….and of course, credit card and address info. That turned out to be 100% accurate. Personally, I think they need to advertise the data security aspect of their service more, if they do protect customer data. I could not find anything on their website. Other schools did have references to the personal data disclosures, and I did not like that they shared info, pretty much as their discretion. Cost was really secondary for me, but at $25, it's just as reasonable as anyone else. (I took the reading version) So the 5 stars is for that commitment on data security that they provided, albeit verbally, and the ease of the system. I found that the time allotted per section was just about the perfect amount of time to read the section and complete the questions. I did have extra time in some sections, but the law is to take a 4 hour course. Final exam followed the course material very very well. Now it's my assumption that content and quality of the systems are probably fairly similar among these schools. I selected Wise as they seem to specialize in just three courses and they are Florida specific, in addition to the data security. The completion cert was super simple, and just as they described in the advertising. Someone complained on a review that they kept sending him mailings after the completion of the course. Yeah, I'd downgrade my review if I start getting mailings and can't shut them off, but I get the feeling that won't be the case. Time will tell. In summary, positive experience.Choco Gibbins

There are a lot of choices when it comes to choosing a good school for passing both the TLSAE course and the knowledge exam, and I made the best choice by choosing the Wise Traffic School. Initially, I was concerned that the low price offered by the Wise Traffic School would be increased by sneaky hidden fees that some companies charge. In fact, just the opposite is true of this exceptional company. I had a lot of questions, and when I called this fine business, Sid (who is the owner) took the call and addressed all of my concerns, which is remarkable as I called him on a Sunday. Not only did my son pass the TLSAE course very easily, but he passed the knowledge exam the first time. It could not have been easier.D G

I definitely would refer wise traffic school to anyone who needs to take the course! After taking the course I am very happy to say I did well thanks to the course being very easy to comprehend. I was recently diagnosed with TBI due to a severe car accident but the way the course is designed with the questions and answers at the end of each section it made it easy for me to review and retain the correct answers. I also want to add that customer service couldn't be better, they practically answered on the first ring each time I called and immediately knew who was calling . I am unfortunate enough to be a student at Palm bay academy and i can confidently say that it is a terrible school. the students there are rude and disrespectful, with no consideration for their classmates and their teachers. students are being bullied, girls are being sexually assaulted, and a slap on the wrist is the only punishment. As for the food, its not uncommon to find plastic, tinfoil, and even hair, in the meals (which are not filling)they serve at palm bay academy. sometimes the chicken they serve is under cooked. in addition, the resources at this school are dwindling, and Palm bay academy doesn't have enough money to restock. The library, is literally, crawling with roaches, and the bathrooms are decorated with profane graphite, and the uniform policy displays sexism in its darkest form. Two teachers have left this school in the middle of a semester and I cannot blame them. Parents claim that ever since they sent their kids to palm bay academy, their academic grades have been getting lower and lower. don't make the same mistake they did. DO NOT ENROLL HERE. USF sent me to the St. Petersburg campus because the Tampa campus was “full,” despite there being off campus housing options still available. In summary, they relocated me to another campus that I did not want to go to rather than just inform me that I would not be able to have access to on-campus housing. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior that no university should ever engage in. I am utterly dissatisfied and enraged at USF for doing something this outrageous. Shame on them!CervezaCuba

USF has such a beautiful campus based on the tour that I went on. Considering the fact that I haven't applied yet, I can't speak on the financial aid and things such as that. Great staff and great campuses, however I must complain of one staff member, Ms. Annette Tran. She sent a document to me in an email and said to fill out and send it back to her. Now note I live in Indialantic, so cocoa is a 1 and half hour drive. I then contacted her asking how to send it, through pdf or come to the Cocoa campus and she said she’ll be at the cocoa campus. When I got there at the appointment on time I asked all over the campus and she wasn’t there. Then I contacted her again and she said to just email it over. I did as instructed and she claimed that it was the wrong one. So I contacted her again and ask if she could send me the right pdf and she said to drive up to the cocoa campus and get the form. So I went again and no sign of her and the front desk handed me the document. I signed and sent it back and it was wrong again! I repeated myself for her to send it and she said the paper will be at the Melbourne campus. I went, got the paper but she still wasn’t there. I then tried emailing it to her and it said my email got blocked, so I had to use my secondary email and I still wait word from her for 2 days now.Dylan Tidalstalker

I have been going to Eastern for a few years now (nearly half done with my AA), and while I can't say I have much experience with in-person classes (Pandemic and all), I will say that I have only had a few issues overall. 2 to 3 out of my 8 or so teachers were a problem for me, and that really was only because one didn't answer their email often enough to help me in time and because another had a very strict and linear way of teaching, which I personally don't do well with. More often than not, I have had kind and understanding teachers who are upbeat, helpful and more than forgiving on late or hard assignments. I also found the few in-person classes I have had to be fun and something to look forward to (despite the occasionally long rides). I may have just been given the good-end of the stick and maybe others have had worse experiences, but I have found college here to be easier and more forgiving than my own Middle to HighSchool experiences. It would seem that a lot of the reviews here are from entitled kids who expect everything to be easy for them. I've never had a problem with Advising, Financial Aid (Although I do payment plan and not federal aid), Classes or Professors. I'm only on my third semester and I work hard to get the grades that I'm getting, if I have a problem I work extra hard to solve it no matter what it may be. I understand that in the real world nobody is going to hand me anything. I only have two major problems, the amount of high school kids that are in my classes is crazy, and I wish they would funnel some of the Melbourne money to us in Cocoa so they can fix some of the buildings that were messed up from the hurricane. Unless your parents can afford the exorbitant tuition or you have a great scholarship I would not recommend attending UM. I had some good professors and some not so good. Class sizes are fairly small which will matter for some, others not so much. People talk about the campus being beautiful but in my opinion it was nothing special. It is a fairly new school and the modern buildings lack the character of older schools established in the 1800s. In addition, the older buildings they did have are being torn down to make room for newer facilities. Weather is a plus if you don't mind the humidity or lots of rain. If you are looking for the "typical" college town experience I doubt you will find it at UM due to its location in a large metro. It seems like UM is a hot destination for prep school kids from the Northeast. The vast majority of guys that attend UM are bros. Also rich kids from around the world, especially Latin America, the Caribbean, and China. Save your money. Start off at a Community or Junior College then transfer to a public four year college or university. At the end of the day the University of Miami (like all other colleges and universities) is a business. They just want your money. They don't care about you or what happens to you after you leave. Absolutely beautiful campus! I took a tour and the campus is very post-modern. Lots of art works and installations spread throughout. There is a wonderful mall style food court. We took a look at the dorms and each person gets their own room in their floor. Wow, people work their butt off to get in here and it's a complete waste. Staff and advisors are incredibly unprofessional. This is a university they don't care about education they care about how much money they can make off your back. Campus is unsafe and scary environment. Don't even think about parking on campus because you will be towed within a matter of minutes. We've been on 3 college tours now and this school by far was the best. I took a tour with my daughter a week ago and was very impressed. The 2 tour guides we had were very knowledgeable about everything. The campus gave us that small town feel. It was also clean and very well kept up. Very impressive especially since part of it was built back in the 1920's. We also got the impression that there was a lot of school spirit and pride. The customer service is awesome! Every time I had a concern or problem about my library card, status, holds, immunization records, etc. they went out of their way to help. The secret is in calling, they either help you right away or transfer you to someone who can. They are never a disappointment. My Grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about 10 years old when my mother said to him, 'If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately.'. Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 20, I have never touched a cigarette. When I went to GHS (c/o 2004), it was a good school. The teachers were great and the curriculum was appropriate and challenging. I have a BA degree and am currently in graduate school so I have to believe that education is what you make of it. If I could rate this Osteopathic program and the entire university a zero, I would. The ADMINISTRATION DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. This school has shown this time and time again. Nova is always the last university to cancel class when there are dangerous weather conditions occurring. For example, there’s now a tropical storm upon us now but instead of caring about their students safety, they would rather force the students to take an exam even though there is a good chance many students will not have wifi to even complete the exam. Do yourself a favor and find another university and/or medical school that won’t try to screw you over for money. Also the new dean hates the D.O. The eight (8) week program is laying a foundation of speed, agility, strength, conditioning and recovery that will last with these kids as they excel in their chosen sport/s. The instructors all have a unique approach at getting the best out of the team. I was not sure of where this place was due to the signage that still says Control Results. However, the team did a great evaluation on our softball team and gave them an explanation of what to expect next time. It was great to see since I have been in fitness and strength conditioning for 20+ years – I can be overly critical, but they did a great job.
