Pretty awful education experience. The vast majority of professors are terrible teachers. In fact, it's apparent they care more about their research that the school funds, than the actual students and the material they are teaching. So many teachers seem to have the mindset that "Oh, if these students aren't as passionate about this topic as I am, they are going to fail." Of course, there are a few incredible teachers, but they are few and far between. Not to mention, that a large population of the students act extremely entitled and judgy. Kinda of ironic, considering the school is owned and funded by a church that claims to have the most accurate understanding of Jesus Christ. Attending the school is incredibly cheap, however, to which I will praise. The opportunity to make it through school without any debt is a massive help for many. That being said, plan on changing your major multiple times, because almost every program is extremely competitive and very very difficult to get into. This is a school where dreams are quite literally crushed under the weight of academic pressure and prestige.Jacob Heiner

AMAZING!!! BYU runs one of the largest, if not the largest, comprehensive summer youth sports program in the country. They consistently draw student athletes from all over Utah, the Intermountain West, The Unites States and even have a number of international athletes every year. We have sent our own kids for 5+ years in multiple sports. They love it!! They love the week long sport specific camps, the housing option, the friends, camp counselors, student coaches, meals at the Canon Center and ice cream at the creamery store. This is a large campus with a number of different facilities. I love that there is no charge for the Bean museum or the Paleontology museum. The creamery makes just about the BEST I've cream I've ever tasted. The Wilkinson Student Center has a bowling alley and am extensive good court and more. Love the Arts center and basically find there is too much here to tell about, but it's worth a visit just to explore the campus. Love the bell concerts at noon.Leona Keesling

This is a great place for quality learning! I've come here for the master gardeners class and have loved it. They provide great instructors who care about the students and want to give the best quality education. If you are looking into classes definitely consider this location!Jacob Miller

Average building. Some classrooms are a bit cold and could use an update, but they do have projectors. Classrooms on the first floor are lecture halls and some are quite nice (one has theater-like seating that is really comfy). A lot of great classes are offered in this building. A big downside to having classes here is that the bathrooms are far too small for the number of people in the neighboring classrooms. When a lecture hall gets out the line for the bathroom could take you 15 minutes.Caity Roach

The majority of my classes at the University of Utah were social work classes since I went for my BSW. The instructors, counselors, and administrators are so knowledgeable and I have enjoyed nearly all courses I've taken here.Hunter Keetch

I don't have a lot of experience with Weber State University. I did attend a big conference on their campus today. Their food services provided the meal and it was excellent. It's cool they have shuttles to drive the students in from the parking lots far away. On that shuttle I met the most amazing, young, smart student. Amazing day to disc golf! Went around three times and did good my first two rounds, but excelled my last round! Also, UDisc is an app that is all about disc golf; keeping score (including ob/penalties), and a map guide as well it's awesome! I almost aced the third hole 😃Jacob Canfield

Weber State is an amazing university. Their campus is just gorgeous and is always taken care of. The best part is that it’s on the mountain so you always get amazing views. Their staff are so helpful and they offer some amazing classes.Alex Bracken

I am currently a sophomore at Utah State and have been more then happy with the school. I have seen a few bad reviews on here and all the complaints sound like immature children who aren't responsible enough to be adults. Every staff member I've dealt with is kind and knowledgeable. I have had wonderful help with my academic skills from the Student Support Services. I changed majors a lot and struggled for a while but was helped the whole way. Not only that but my wife and I have been able to pay cash up front for me to finish and almost payed off all her student loans. When I graduate I will be debt free and able to earn a very decent living for my family. I once thought about transferring to another school and told one of my professors. He got almost all his associates in the program to convince me to stay and show that I was wanted and my success there mattered. With all these good things going it hasn't been perfect. I do think too much money is spent on the sports programs… but what University isn't that way. None would be financially stable without sports investors… which is society's problem not the university's. So I feel that any of these drastic complaints come from people who just haven't grown up enough to take responsibility for their actions. Utah State is a Grade A University that has always been highly influential in U.S. History. Take the time to give it the chance it deserves. And you won't have to go into a crap-load of debt to do so if you are smart.!Brandon Todd

Very disappointed in a school that does not help it's own students. By it's own admission on their website they accept everyone but only 3% who apply but in accepting all these students to gain their money they don't even make sure that even basic needs for an incoming student is provided like enough housing or even parking. The shortage of housing verses students is ridiculous and even more ridiculous is that when they know there is an issue of overnight parking that they keep their parking lots closed to the very students they lured to their school making their lives miserable when they can easily help. They are quick to point fingers and claim it's not their problem. So thanks Utah State for being so good to your students. I would recommend to anyone considering this school to re-think if this is how they treat students.Keri Ponting

Nice facilities but the staff leave something to be desired. Can't speak to the faculty. We reserved a building to use for a community event and they said it would be ready. We arrived and that was not the case. They had to send security to come unlock the building. It apparently, "was on the calendar, we just missed it…" I hope they forget to look at cars that don't have parking passes!Cody Simonsen

I love the U of U!! Since I was a child we played in the fountains at the library. Took classes and enjoyed them very much!! My son got his bachelor's in kinesiology there and loved it. My father got a teaching degree there. My sister got a Pharmacy degree there. My daughter is currently getting an engineering degree there. My sister got a math teaching master's there. The stadium expansion is nearly done. They are preping for Garth Brooks this weekend. The new suites are looking good. The new locker room is unbelievable! The team that has been working on this really deserve a huge thank-you. The U will have one of the nicest stadiums around.J Mack

STUNNING location! Next to the mountains overlooking the Salt Lake Valley. Easy to find. Simple to navigate inside the stadium. Plenty of volunteers and staff to answer questions. Heavy friendly police and EMS presence. Very clean. Wish the concessions had more variety available.Rachel E Stewart

I absolutely do not recommend attending the business school at University of Utah. I am a Junior at the school and I graduate in December. I am a 3.55 student and I do put effort towards my classes to get the most out of them. Here are the reasons why you should attend a different school. 1. BCOR. You will hear about this program when you sign up for classes. BCOR is a set of courses at are specific only to the U. They represent basic classes like Finance, Entrepreneurship, Management, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Accounting. BCOR is the exact same curriculum as these classes. For example, BCOR 3020 Finance is the same as a finance class it is replacing. However, the BCOR class is NOT transferable in or out of the U. So if you take 5 BCOR classes your first year, you are a semester behind if you try to transfer. Keep in mind, they are THE EXACT same curriculum other than this entry BCOR 1010 super entry level class. They may try to make it sound special, it’s not. 2. Upper Division Tuition. Beware of this before you attend the U! The U does have access to this knowledge so they don’t necessarily hide it. I personally looked up average tuition for the university of Utah and it said $8000 a year. In high school, I didn’t think to look further into what I would be paying. (I paid $10500 last semester for 18 credits) ~ $17,000/year. I’m taking two summer classes this summer and it’s $4350. Upper division tuition starts your sophomore year and nothing has been very advanced and I have 21 credits left. Schools like ASU do not have this, it’s not an all around thing by the way. 3. Curriculum. Every time you tour a school they give you some good sounding statistic. “The University of ABC has the best business school in the coordinates between 1256.43 latitude, 3287.31 longitude in the Northeast side of the United States.” Anyways, whatever the U told me, I felt proud and accomplished to go there. That is, until I found myself thinking about what I learned after my first year-not really anything. I remember learning some basic excel, accounting, and economics. But not much more than a few YouTube videos worth. I am graduating in less than 12 months and I’d say I’ve had a few good classes and actually did enjoy my last semester, but there’s honestly not much special about this school’s program. Especially for paying double the tuition. 3. Business scholars. My last point I’ll talk about and it’s more for a specific course. I remember driving up to Utah and the university called me and asked if I wanted to join business scholars for an extra $1000/semester (now I think $2000/semester) It sounded so exclusive and cool! Company tours, traveling to Boeing, business presentations! I showed up on the first day of business scholars and there were so many students that they had to have two sections in the largest lecture room. We had some great trips, the trip to Seattle was truly awesome! We did one other company tour in the first semester to C.R. England. There were organized sections and every few weeks we had a good business presentation. Why am I upset about this? Well I’m not as furious about it as the other reasons, but it’s worth a read if you are considering joining. You are paying a lot more to take this extra class, you do gain some presentation skills and you get to learn a little about the different aspects of business. In our second semester, we did a ski day at brighton and due to Covid, we were sent home half way through the semester without ever doing company tours or allowing anyone to go to the Bryce/Zions trip. They refunded $0 which is extremely upsetting given they didn’t even provide any company tours or the trip. They straight pocketed some of that cash. Even if they could only refund each student $100 due to the cancellation in transportation costs, they should have done it. In accounting I learned that you can’t recognize revenue unless the service has been provided, so I don’t know where they put that on their balance sheet(; Google is telling me this review is getting too long so good luck!(:Caleb Meyer

Bad business school, waste of money. If you have ever heard of BCOR and have looked up the definition of a scam, you may see some similarities. Once you start taking BCOR classes, you can't transfer out, and then they charge you double your tuition with upper division tuition from sophomore year and up. Saw Dr. John Fang in an emergency procedure at the U of U Med Center. He was the most rude and unprofessional doctor I've every had the misfortune to see. I was terribly sick, and because he had to do emergency procedures on me on a Sunday, he was rude and unprofessional and when he yanked on a tube I had in me, he caused me to choke and get much sicker. This guy should lose his license!!! He is the chief of this department which is hard to believe!barbara kennedy

Husband is a 2nd year med student here and has found amazing opportunities and people to work with. He has loved all of his professors and doctors that he has worked with so far and feels prepared for Step 1. We have loved our experience at the U so far. It is a lot of money but it is well spent. Played this course on Sunday afternoon, 19 September, 2021. Beautiful 9-hole course at the mouth of Ogden Canyon; I was informed that winds in morning can be quite blustery, thus I chose to play on a too-busy Sunday when I had a golfer behind me that persistently intruded onto my tee box before I teed off, as I had to wait for a foursome in front of me to clear. I'll have to return and play when it's quieter and thus more enjoyable. I was impressed by the stunning view from the unique, historic stone clubhouse, high above the 1st and 9th holes! Course was overall well-maintained and not too challenging; the par 4 5th is really the only narrow fairway. High scenic value!James Patterson

I’m going to be honest here. The views on this course are spectacular. But man I’ve played twice here in the last two years and I remember why, it’s just not fun. These guys push people out so close together, it took me over 3 hours to play 9. The pace of play here is so bad, you’re just waiting on every tee box because they just push people out as soon as “they’re ready”. It’s just not fun to golf. A lot of people come here to play and they’re not very good, or new. Which is fine, but they just don’t understand the pace of play. I mean maybe it’s more fun on a weekday. But I wouldn’t recommend going here on the weekendschad williams

Beautiful course, driving range is pretty disappointing, but we understand the constraints of the location and layout. Mats only and a pitch area, bring your own tee holder because there were none. On the course, we got stuck behind a group of 6 late in the day and had a group of 4 behind us, so it felt very rushed. Not sure how a group that large ended up with 1 tee time, staff should have booked two for that so we weren’t all crammed behind. Hope to have a more relaxed round there next time.Julia Coleman
