Great school for engineering and decent for nursing. Business school will depend on your work and the professors you choose(from 1-4 ⭐️). The support sucks. Try calling financial aid or student accounts and you know how living in purgatory feels like. One hour of waiting on the line is typical and if you wanna use the outdated mymav website to get help without calling them, good luck 😉 The number in the picture below belongs to student accounts department who will drop you from all your classes when u owe money so you need speed dealing with them. I suggest you’ll go there physically even if you’re infected with Covid19 as you have a better chance of reaching them in person. And the pictures following the call are from when i went to student accounts in person and the line for service goes into a second building. If I could give this university a zero star, I would do it. As an international student, I have millions of terrible experiences with this university. The graduate school and the international students office have been really really rude. They will try to frustrate you using any way they could. Also, the insurance requirement for international students have been so unfair. They will charge you lots lots of money for the insurance for the summer time even though you are not enrolled in any classes during the summer. Also, the staff working in the graduate school have been so rude and know very little. Some of the graduate and undergraduate classes have been so meaningless and do not worth the money.yaqing cao

Atm a lot of construction is going around the university. Either adding new school building, dinning areas, or apartments around the school. The gym is great, great gym equipment, indoor track, and classes that you can sign up for if you do not like working out alone. Building are easy to locate but if you have trouble finding them people will be nice to direct to the correct locations. School spirit is shown once in a while via the fountains (blue water) Very diverse univeristy. People from all over the U.S. and other countries.Jenni Jenni

I have been attending Texas Wesleyan since the Spring 2018 semester with a semester break after my first one. This school has changed my life. I've seen some of the other reviews and claims that it is a "liberal university… brainwashing their students," or that it is "too expensive" and "not worth the price." From my experience here, none of that is true. To start with the first claim, what happens here inside the classroom is that the professors, both liberal and conservative, require their students to provide evidence for their claims when they hand out assignments about controversial and non-controversial topics. That is not brainwashing; it is teaching students how to think for themselves, and in a society devoted to freedom, one cannot be free if they cannot think for themselves and question what they've been taught. As to the other claims about the price of the school, yes, this private university is more expensive than other schools in the area. However, what you are getting when you pay for these classes is a much smaller class size than any other school that I know if in DFW. This is extremely helpful for all students that attend and are willing to take advantage of professor office hours and the ability to ask questions in the middle of class. It only takes a willingness to use the resources available, resources we pay for, to be successful. With that in mind, tuition does go up, as it does at every college and university, but Texas Wesleyan goes out of its way to find grants, scholarships, and other types of tuition assistance for their students. There is a lot of care and love put into every aspect of what this school does and I wouldn't trade it for any other school in the metroplex.Steven Leach

Worst university to put your money and effort as once you try to look for jobs they have very less credibility infact many ppl who live around don't even know about this university exists. My time here was very bad as I faced a lot of racism and was torture in ways I can't even explain I would like ppl of color and immigrants to know that don't put your time and effort in these university as there are other good options available I hope this helps as I wasted my precious time of life in this university.Aadesh Shah

Choose another school. They charge way too much and do nothing to better the student living quarters. Have old dirty washers and dryers. Clogged sinks. Took too long to set dates for graduation ceremonies. Literally didn’t have the times until about 4 wks prior to graduation. Very unorganized. Maintenance never responds to or fixes repair requests. Security gate always broken and it’s not in the safest of neighborhoods. Don’t really do many student activities. Not worth the money at all!!!Google user

buses and parking are nightmares here. No parking or you will have to pay everytime you park including weekend whereas other schools often free. Buses always late and full. The school not even tried to get more buses. Also, there is 40mins wait between 2 buses. Finally, unequal opportunity for on cambus job or help. We came to many departments and asked for help but they rarely tried to solve but kept saying we could not do anything. And we came back multiple time and the other did help us out. I enjoyed my time at UNT, made some great friends, and I have good memories. However, this University is not longer a place of higher education but a political activist training ground. I never thought that I’d see the day that The First Amendment would not be honored at UNT, but that is what has happened. And to think I have a degree in Criminal Justice from there is similar to being trained as an EMT by Dr. Kevorkian. Awful….it’s too bad that I will not be able to hire any students (or UNTs “product”) from here as it’s just too risky. Same with giving to the Development office.Where's Waldo?

The Grad program is a joke. I've never met more people incompetent of doing their job. The undergrad school should conduct training with the grad school to get them up to par. Because they dropped the ball, I now get stuck with their issues. Also the elderly lady working in billing should take a phone etiquette class. We are in 2022. There shouldn't be this many issues consistently happening. Yet, the undergrad side was on top of every single aspect. I attended this schools OTA program and I can guarantee you will not get a better education anywhere else. The crew there prepare you so well for the field. As for the school, it's amazing. Hit by a tornado and it didnt affect the students learning experience. Covid hit and they already had a plan set to make sure no one got pushed back. The cons are small and understandable. Financial aid sometimes forgets to send you the email to renew so just keep up with it yourself. And some other enrollment/payment procedures are a bit lax to where you need to keep up with them. But they deal with the whole school so it's understandable that a few slip through. Definitely take a tour and see if this schools for you. They have a variety of professions you can go into. The schools been updated since the tornado and it looks immaculate, they really did a good job of fixing and upgrading the facility at the same time.Cjloha

I was kinda rushed into starting and didn't realize the online-only curriculum was going to involve soooooo much writing and citing and having to include references in 4 weeks. For each course there is so much emphasis put on research for writing essays and 1-6 page papers that there is less time to actually read all the text and retain/comprehend what you're studying. The essays aren't too bad, but then you have to come up with creative ways to respond to 2 or more of your peers explaining why you agree or disagree with what they each posted. What ever happened to reading the text and studying, listening to a lecture or two and then working on an assignment or a test? It my just be the 4 week time period, with new assignments and discussions due each week, that gets me frazzled. I may have to switch to hybrid or in person learning soon.Newest Times

The school does not give you enough information prior to getting into the program. They charge you stupid fees which do not sense and go as far as increasing already high school fees. How do you charge online students technology fees for using the school's blackboard to complete assignments on top of $660 per credit. They tell you at the last minute you have a balance to pay. Very poor communication on all levels. The director of my program is the only reason I am graduating from this school. I will never refer anyone here again. Not now not ever. This school is a waste. The staff are all very nice Olivia always listening to you and she is very attentive Dr.Murphy takes her time to hear you and she explain everything so you can understand whats going on…She cares and always have a smile on her face no matter how busy she is…She is very attentive she is very professional and you know you are with one of the best. I was looking for a place where i can start to feel less pain and be able to enjoy life again …im on my way i just started but i know im in good hands …im not alone anymore..The first time i arrive i was crying for being in pain for so long and did not see a solution .After my first tx i was pain free for the first time in years …thank you againVictoria

Dr Murphy and the staff were top notch and I cannot say enough. I go to a lot of physicians for various reasons and this has been one of the best first visits I’ve had. The staff was professional and efficient. Dr Murphy was patient while listening to me explain my issue, asked pertinent questions, empathetic towards me and provided me a course of action to take so I could resolve the issue in the quickest amount of time. I was relieved after leaving her office and look forward to my follow up appointment with her. The entire care team has been excellent with my mom while she is in their care. She was transferred here after other doctors in our area were having difficulties diagnosing and treating her condition. Worst hospital ever, after extensive surgery & being under for over 6 hours a nurse steals my debit card, sells it to someone & they clean out my bank acct within minutes! Medical City Transplant Coordinator Tracey Solis is rude and talks down to you. She will chastise you for situations that are not under your control. Yet, when the tables are turned and something is under her control she is not quick to act. It’s like she wants you to jump through hoops until she is pleased. If you have an opportunity to choose another coordinator please do so quickly. Not everyone is on government insurance that can duplicate tests and pay for exorbitant procedures. When you need a positive and compassionate person Tracey Solis is not it. She made me cry because I was so shocked with her tone and how she spoke to me. I had to call a couple of people to cheer me back up because I feel like things are actually going well. Boy did she burst my balloon. I hope someone above Tracey Solis sends her to a leadership class and another class to help her understand how to be helpful and compassionate. To individuals that have heard life changing news like ”I need a kidney to live”. Any human being would be a little nervous and scared to go through something like a transplant. SLOW, SLOW, SLOW! We were here for way longer than we needed to be. We ended up just leaving because 1) they did not have a handicap accessible room available, therefore my husband could t use anything but the sink 2) the uncomfortable room was disgusting & they charged us top dollar for it. There were crumbs from the previous patient on the floor, there were #2 splatters all over the bathroom wall (you can zoom in & see some in my picture) & the shower was equally as disgusting. However, the reason this place got the 2 stars it did was due to the employees. Most were very nice, but the woman working the ER front desk was irritating & the last nurse we had before walking out seemed unavailable.Jess D.

I came in because a breast I had biopsied a month prior began to fold in on itself. It looked like my breast had a rope being pulled across it. This was very scary and painful. Dr. Conner Cohick "examined" me in a room with an inadequate privacy screen. I did not receive a diagnosis or treatment. Instead, he told to take some Advil and call my OBGYN. He did NOT treat me and then sent my insurance a bill for $766. The issue turned out to be Mondor's Disease which is treated with topical anti-inflammatory medication. It is NOT something only an OBGYN would know. My primary care physician's nurse practitioner was able to help me the following day after I had a sleepless night of unnecessary worry.Consuela Hiawatha

I work for Stadium People, an event venue staffing company. TCU is one of our clients and I can't say enough about the facilities. The pride of the employees, fans, and players really show through. All involved are motivated, pleasant people to be around, work with, and assist. Stadium People provides all of the essential tools, leadership criteria, and environment to make coming to work something to look forward to, and working the numerous events at TCU is the icing on the cake. stolen body program According to the Tarrant County coroner's department, they tried to research and find my husband or other relatives. After 10 days per their policy; if the body is not claimed, they release the body to the University of North Texas Health Science willed body program . This program is designed to handle the bodies of the deceased that were not claimed due to financial difficulties. Our father has life and burial insurance. He and our family are not indigent, however Tyler and Claudia head of the UNT willed body program claim we have no rights to our fathers body or remains. Claudia, the supervisor in a very hearless and matter of fact tone said; "well the body is ours and as a courtesy, when we are finished with the body we will give you the ashes. If you sign this form by 5pm today." Claudia is referring to "next of kin donation form". This form attached is requesting that we donate his body to them. When we questioned Claudia why we would sign or need to sign this form, if we do not agree for them to have or use the body? Claudia's repugnant response was "well I don't know what to tell you, just sign the form or we'll keep the remains." After getting the run around between the County and UNT, we researched the Texas statues regarding disposition of body according to the Texas Health and Safety code. Sec. 691.025. PROCEDURE AFTER DEATH. (A)and(D). According to this a relative of the deceased may claim the body within 60 days after the body has been delivered to an institution or other entity authorized to receive the body (ie… UNT). The body shall be released without charge. Because we will not sign the UNT donation form, and UNT will not release his body to Golden Gate Funeral home, neither organization can send the request to the state for his death certificate. This empase has caused severe heartache to our family and friends. We are wanting to lay his body to rest, in the fashion that he request and planned.Cameron Kyser

The UNT Health Science Center somehow got it backward at one of the most crucial times, when Tarrant County residents needed efficient and effective delivery of COVID-19 vaccines. A Star-Telegram investigation reveals how disappointing the center’s performance was in distributing shots (pay for by TAXPAYERS) under an expensive county contract. The piece shows that the deal was a waste of money, thanks to misplaced priorities and excessive attention paid to petty details about communication and public credit. What taxpayers got was largely a pass-through contract, with the Health Science Center hiring a private-sector firm to do the actual work. The county itself could have done that! But then, Health Science Center officials seemed to be more concerned about who they were dealing with at the county than whether the program was doing much good. Records show that leaders were obsessive about who got credit for what and fussy about which county officials they would hear from. A top official had to prod administrator David Mansdoerfer about being willing to respond to the county’s top elected official, Judge Glen Whitley. UNTHS has wrongfully possessed our grandfather's Body. We have not and will not give permission yet Claudia said its hers now! They are trying to pressure our family to sign the donation form. I regret transfering here. 1st the degree plan I was told would except my credits was canceled. I think it was 15 credit hours they won't accept even with an appeal. A lot of money and time down the drain that I was never informed was in the works. Next is the Financial Aid office. It's the 2nd week of school and I haven't been awarded any of my financial aid. In fact, my grant dissapeared out of the system. I'm an online student and need to pay for books and online platforms we submit our homework on. Good luck geting through to speak to someone too. The nursing program at TCU is good; it is the second-best nursing school in Texas. However, if you are not ready to spend and possibly waste a substantial amount of money, if you are not sure about becoming a nurse, and if you hate schools that focus on weeding people out, then this is not the place for you. I spent one semester at this school, and I hated being there from the beginning because one, I was not used to being in an environment that lacks diversity. Two, like I said the nursing program is good but only if you are passionate about becoming a nurse and if you seek help on time when needed, because if not they will not have a problem weeding you out, and that’s what happened to me. Once they kick you out that’s it, they basically drop you like a hot potato and when you leave they hardly care, because they got your money, they got what they wanted.Lola B
