Great school for engineering and decent for nursing. Business school will depend on your work and the professors you choose(from 1-4 ⭐️). The support sucks. Try calling financial aid or student accounts and you know how living in purgatory feels like. One hour of waiting on the line is typical and if you wanna use the outdated mymav website to get help without calling them, good luck 😉 The number in the picture below belongs to student accounts department who will drop you from all your classes when u owe money so you need speed dealing with them. I suggest you’ll go there physically even if you’re infected with Covid19 as you have a better chance of reaching them in person. If I could give this university a zero star, I would do it. As an international student, I have millions of terrible experiences with this university. The graduate school and the international students office have been really really rude. They will try to frustrate you using any way they could. Also, the insurance requirement for international students have been so unfair. They will charge you lots lots of money for the insurance for the summer time even though you are not enrolled in any classes during the summer. Also, the staff working in the graduate school have been so rude and know very little. Some of the graduate and undergraduate classes have been so meaningless and do not worth the money.yaqing cao

Atm a lot of construction is going around the university. Either adding new school building, dinning areas, or apartments around the school. The gym is great, great gym equipment, indoor track, and classes that you can sign up for if you do not like working out alone. Building are easy to locate but if you have trouble finding them people will be nice to direct to the correct locations. Baylor is an amazing school. For a few reviews before me we are not all "rich kids wanting to blow daddy's money" or "rude". I personally have a bad background that would not match the first statement. I am not rich. I am blessed to be in this university thanks to scholarships and my hard working mother. Baylor itself is a blessing. Its a rigorous school BUT very well worth it. I love being part of the Baylor community. Its a beautiful campus filled with loving people. Its not "perfect" because nothing is. There will be a few issues like yes there are some kids who don't care and my be rude or blow things off but really if you are a part of it you will see the majority of the campus and the people here are more than amazing and loving. This is a fantastic university for the liberal arts. I have talked to people from other universities and to those that have come to visit me at college, and all of them see a difference in the student body. There is just a different atmosphere. All the people are kind and welcoming and always willing to help in times of need. The professors are nationally ranked and are not only outstanding in their fields of study, but wonderful people as well. Even if you're not looking to go to college, its a beautiful campus to just walk around in. It's almost like a park in some ways. Just give it a visit and I promise you'll be hooked! I loved my time as I attended Baylor for undergrad, and grad school (2008-2015). The campus has changed so much since i first step foot in 2008 (all for the better). Baylor (and Waco) is in a resurgence/growth period. Its an awesome time for Baylor and Waco. I loved my time there even though I'm not religious (agnostic/theist). Great people (students and especially faculty), and community. There was a reason why I came back to get my masters at Baylor. They helped me get through some rough times, and i am better for it now. Cons: this school loves to throw away money for stuff nobody asks for (concerts every Friday, a park that removed half the parking at this university, an ugly alumni house at the front of the university, etc). Meanwhile, their internet is God-awful, the library doesn't have books for specific classrooms ready to check out like other universities, they have no calculators ready to check out or laptops. Every computer in the entire school is extremely slow and sticky. The food provided at the MET is bad most of the time plus they close everything too early. The gym has an unnecessary amount of cardio machines that take up 1/3 of the gym. The people that run the intramural sports are very poorly-trained individuals that aren't consistent with the rules and will sometimes make stuff up. One time, I overheard the ladies that work with financial aid, cashiers, general questions, etc. giggling at the fact that they had somebody on hold for 50 minutes already and they were all snickering at each other to keep them on hold to see how long they go for. The mascot is kinda lame but that's just my personal opinion. At this point, I've realized I'm just ranting cause of the new construction there is going on and I couldn't find parking nearby cause of it and the wifi is acting up again. But really, this school does offer good stuff such as: Pros: The professors are amazing The students are amazing The school is growing The new parking garage is convenient. The environment feels safe. Believes in free speech. Many many other things can be listed. Overall, this school is alright. You'll get your education, which is what mostly matters in the end. This school is alright. Most of the professors I have run into here want you to succeed and do a very fine job teaching. Which, I am a biology major so I cannot speak for all departments. My biggest complaint is the One Stop Services Center. Nobody can seem to keep their story straight and if you call in for help be prepared to wait at minimum thirty minutes before you actually get "helped". I use "helped" loosely because as stated earlier none of the employees behind the desk seem to be on the same page when it comes to offering help. I've received three very different answers from three different employees regarding the SAME issue. Also, parking is absolutely dreadful! If you don't have an 8am class good luck finding parking! I have spent thirty minutes circling the lots waiting to spot an opening and I have missed classes before due to there being inadequate parking.Cheyenne Dooly

buses and parking are nightmares here. No parking or you will have to pay everytime you park including weekend whereas other schools often free. Buses always late and full. The school not even tried to get more buses. Also, there is 40mins wait between 2 buses. Finally, unequal opportunity for on cambus job or help. We came to many departments and asked for help but they rarely tried to solve but kept saying we could not do anything. And we came back multiple time and the other did help us out. I enjoyed my time at UNT, made some great friends, and I have good memories. However, this University is not longer a place of higher education but a political activist training ground. I never thought that I’d see the day that The First Amendment would not be honored at UNT, but that is what has happened. And to think I have a degree in Criminal Justice from there is similar to being trained as an EMT by Dr. Kevorkian. The Grad program is a joke. I've never met more people incompetent of doing their job. The undergrad school should conduct training with the grad school to get them up to par. Because they dropped the ball, I now get stuck with their issues. Also the elderly lady working in billing should take a phone etiquette class. We are in 2022. There shouldn't be this many issues consistently happening. Yet, the undergrad side was on top of every single aspect. I am an international student came here to study masters in technology management program. Firstly the program " Masters in Technology Management" doesn't have anything tech in the course. Most of the syllabus revolves around drones, project management and leadership. The program doesn't have any internship or CPT which is a huge disadvantage. There are no scholarships available for this course. This is more like a mini PHD where in you have to do so much research on several topics which are absolutely waste and have no relevance in the practical world. Neither is this degree valued for getting a job. The professors are only bothered about having research in APA format and doing coursework like a research with no relevance to the practical corporate world. As an international student, i took this course with a hope to get some practical exposure like internship and getting placed in a technology company. But i have wasted all my TIME, MONEY and EFFORT on this useless course. The professors are very much involved in their research work and least interested in teaching or helping students be prepared for corporate world.neelu B

The university is great small classes, great environment and accessible online school. The staff on the other hand is terrible. I emailed my advisor in regards to some credits missing on my transcript and its been 2 months and still haven't heard from her. I called her, left her some voicemails and still no answer. I took 3 online classes and it would take days sometimes week for the professors to respond. I chose to stay because I'm already enrolled but would not recommend it to other students. I absolutely love this school ! I recently transferred her from a community college and I couldn't be happier. The professors really focus on the students they are all looking for you to succeed. They're are also tons of student organizations, events, and guest speakers plus a ton more benefits like a fitness center with a pool, a track, a rock climbing wall and a bunch more, they're is also free counseling and free health care (well it's part of tuition ) but it's amazing. Don't EVER go to get your teeth worked on by the dental students. They butchered my husband's mouth. No antibiotics…nothing for pain! He had two teeth pulled and they cut him open and the stitches were not done correctly at all. The Dr. said to the students…it looks ok. And left. My husband a few days later had to go to the ER because he was getting pain going into his head and chest. He couldn't even swallow! Over $800.00 dollars for ER visit and we had to pay for THREE prescriptions! NEVER GO THERE! THEY DON'T CARE!Susan Winchester

I'm not sure what's going on with ophthalmology department. I went for my eye exam, paid my co pay. Got exam for glasses and contacts. About a week later received a bill for $75 for contact fittings. I had a follow up visit, which I should not been charged a co pay but I had to pay $35 for follow up. I tried to dispute it and I kept being told the insurance had changed. Even the Doctor agreed with me that i should have not been charged for either, it was covered by SuperiorVision. Verified with insurance and it had not changed. They finally admitted that I should have not paid for follow up. Requested that my $35 be refunded to directly. According to them they could not refund because I had a $75 balance. I made a claim with the insurance and received the money back. In the notes for the check it read: (PR-45) & (Co-45)"Charge exceeds fee schedule/maximum allowable or contracted/legislated fee arrangement". UT Health ophthalmology is over charging patient, many of whom are elderly. Taking advantage of people. They need to retrain or train correctly the person's working the in their department. They are overcharging , regardless what the insurance companies rules are. I do not recommend department to anyone or give this department any stars, I had to enter at least one star because it didn't let me post without. This department needs to be looked over and make sure it is following insurance policies and not overcharging customers.Pat Guevara

Very disappointing experience with the UT Health Cardiology Department. Dr. Traktenbroit suggested I have a cardiology stress test and an at home ECG test, called a ZIO test. I spoke with at least six different departments within UT Health & University Health And was unable to get test codes So I could get a cost estimate for the tests through my insurance company, prior to actually having the test performed. I called my insurance company and asked if they could contact the physician and different testing departments. They were also unable to get any type of cost estimate. With anything else in life you know what the cost will be before you pay for it, but in the medical profession you’re supposed to trust them and not know how much your out of pocket cost is going to be until you get a bill in the mail. Ludicrous! Also, there are 3 different types of stress tests. The most expensive one being the one that includes injecting nuclear medicine through an IV. Oh course, this is the test the Dr. ordered. Chest pains or shortness of breath are usually the reason for a stress test. I did not report having either. From what I’ve researched a CT scan of your heart is better at finding blockages than a stress test. I had one performed a few years ago and the cost was much less than having a nuclear stress test done.C W

This review is for the billing department. I do my best to pay my bills in full and when I can’t, I call to make payment arrangements. I don’t know about everyone else, but I have insurance with a high deductible and out of pocket maximum. This billing department boggles the mind. I received a letter from a collections office that I had a bill that I had not made a payment for. The service was in February of this year for a total amount $600. I keep all correspondence from bills that I paid or am paying and not once did I receive a letter stating that I owed this amount. What kind of billing department doesn’t send out bills? This is not the first time they have pulled this shenanigan. I got them to admit in the previous billing conflict that they hadn’t sent out a bill. This is a shady practice of not sending a bill but sending my or our information to a collections agency. I take my credit score very seriously. I don’t want it tainted because of a neglectful department/employee. This department needs a quality audit. I am sure they would find many issues that need to be addressed but haven’t been.Rachele Cuellar

Literally just left . I came in due to severe pain in my side (the ambulance believed it to be kidney stones) they Literally took me in the lobby and made me sit in a recliner chair saying they had no beds . I'm like I can't sit . I was in there crying tears running down my eyes and they just put me in the lobby like I wasn't nothing. Then I Literally watched 3 people go to the back . Yet they said there was no beds . The people that they took dint come in the ambulance and wasn't screaming in pain , but I was . Yet I was nade to sit in the lobby .needless to say I came home atleast at home I can be comfortable while I'm in pain and once my appendix burst or these stones get to bad and im screaming in their hospital at the top of my lungs then they will possibly want to F help me . Sad I Literally have to come home and be in pain because UTMB would not help me…..also according to them a lady was having a baby that's why there wasn't any beds 😕 huh!? I understand the frustration with this facility. I’ve NEVER a had this many problems with a place before. Trying to get someone on the phone and questions answered is like pulling teeth. They transfer you around till you just give up and hang up. And the people here are so disrespectful, they will not even let you finish your sentence they just talk over you and transfer you, just to get you off the phone. I was transferred to a facility that wasn’t even near me ? So I had to call back and wait another 30 minutes to get someone on the phone. Please and thank you, even a smile goes along way. I’ve been in the healthcare field along time, and it’s really sad to see how they treat people. I do not recommend this place at all, there are plenty of places to go where you will be taken care of where they actually care. And this review is not based on just one encounter this is years of dealing with this facility.Jen G

Make sure you validate your ticket. It would have been nice to know what was wrong with my leg. No one could tell me that. My primary care doctor helped me a lot. I got a shot to help with the pain and he gave me a muscle relaxer which really helped my leg stretch out more so I was finally able to wear shoes again. He even referred me to Ortho and Ortho was able to fit me in their schedule the next day. Ortho was useless though. The overall energy was very socialable, moreso amongst themselves than with us the actual patients. Overall, it was like I was at a… You'll never guess it… a university. Lol. I would recommend this place. They seem very efficient. They try their best to get you out with quality care so you can get your medicine and go back to work.Sophie Grunge

It takes a loooooooong time for UTSA to get to top tier universities despite the fact they had this mission for over 7 years now. The focus of the university is on first generation students and undergraduates. Over 30,000 students enrolled in the last year but only roughly 750 students were at Doctoral level. Based on my personal experience and my colleagues experiences, despite some decent rankings that university tries to refer as the sign of the progress, many departments are not up to the National or International standards.Marzieh Jafary

Bottom Line Up Front: Family atmosphere, historic setting, superior education, welcoming student body and faculty, perpetual construction, ignorant board of regents. I am a proud member of the Aggie family. I love this school and the quality and value of the education I receive here. Sometimes ill be walking down the tree-covered paths and marvel at the beauty of the campus. There are plenty of progressive moves this university has taken to make them more relevant to the modern age. The construction is never ending and can be very intrusive. Also, the Board of Regents doesn't give a damn what the student body thinks. They make binding decisions for the campus and University without even so much as consulting with the 60,000 people who will be most affected. They advertise how in love with tradition we are and then toss away the REAL SEAL of the university like it doesn't even matter!Lance B

A&M is a very pretty campus, very large, and diverse. All the students I met were incredibly friendly and well mannered. The campus is really stunning and unique. However, during my campus visit. I went through an area where the gate opened for my vehicle to go through. I needed to go back through that gate to exit, but the gate wouldn't open. When I asked the assistant to help me out after telling him my situation through the intercom, he called me a liar and wouldn't let me through. It took me a while to find an alternate way back out. Also, I was crossing at a crosswalk and a Texas A&M vehicle honked at me and sped towards me. He parked and I took a photo of his license and him. He then came up and got in my face and called me a mother F for taking his photo. His act of aggression was very violent. There were no police nor cameras around. I'm an actual A&M grad and I had a wonderful experience all 4 years. The staff truly care about the students and helping them excel. The majority of the students themselves are incredibly bright, caring people. It is small town living but it is definitely not dull. It's big enough to get a real college experience but it's also very community orientated. I have to say that as an Hispanic student, I never felt disrespected or isolated. READ THIS!!! Having had many health issues, I've been to many hospitals throughout my life. UT Health is by far the most unprofessional and uneducated health care facility I've ever been to. I've been to multiple of their clinics on multiple different occasions and I've had the same experience every time. Everyone was on their phone and wouldn't look up at me when speaking to me. When I asked more than 3 NURSES where a specific part of the building was, not one of them knew. Another nurse read my chart to see which procedure I was there for, but continued to prep me for the wrong one so I was there waiting for another hour on top of the 2 hours I waited in the lobby. Certain departments of UT Health also correlate to my job, so I talk to UT Health employees on the phone regularly. Not one of them has had any sort of manners. They're all as rude as they get. I get that Covid messed things up, but I didn't know it gave everyone a pass to throw their manners out the window. I wouldn't have minded waiting 3 hours if the staff at least pretended like they like their jobs and were kind. Someone needs to turn this facility down the right path.Anna Dison

My husband Wayde had his entire shoulder replaced at UT Health East Texas by Dr DeVinney and at the main hospital. It was an amazing experience and he was able to go home with home care as well. He recovered in record time and for the first time in 5 years, he has no pain! Every point of contact with every employee at UTHET was so comforting and we felt like he had the best care he could have received from any hospital in the country and not just East Texas.Cindy Klein

Great place for long term and emergency care. The nurses are awesome and most of the doctors as well. Only 4 stars because the doctor that discharged me didn't bother to even skim my medication allergies and prescribed a med to which I'm highly allergic, and I'm absolutely certain the medication was listed on my chart among my allergies. stolen body program According to the Tarrant County coroner's department, they tried to research and find my husband or other relatives. After 10 days per their policy; if the body is not claimed, they release the body to the University of North Texas Health Science willed body program . This program is designed to handle the bodies of the deceased that were not claimed due to financial difficulties. Our father has life and burial insurance. He and our family are not indigent, however Tyler and Claudia head of the UNT willed body program claim we have no rights to our fathers body or remains. Claudia, the supervisor in a very hearless and matter of fact tone said; "well the body is ours and as a courtesy, when we are finished with the body we will give you the ashes. If you sign this form by 5pm today." Claudia is referring to "next of kin donation form". This form attached is requesting that we donate his body to them. When we questioned Claudia why we would sign or need to sign this form, if we do not agree for them to have or use the body? Claudia's repugnant response was "well I don't know what to tell you, just sign the form or we'll keep the remains." After getting the run around between the County and UNT, we researched the Texas statues regarding disposition of body according to the Texas Health and Safety code. Sec. 691.025. PROCEDURE AFTER DEATH. (A)and(D). According to this a relative of the deceased may claim the body within 60 days after the body has been delivered to an institution or other entity authorized to receive the body (ie… UNT). The body shall be released without charge. Because we will not sign the UNT donation form, and UNT will not release his body to Golden Gate Funeral home, neither organization can send the request to the state for his death certificate. This empase has caused severe heartache to our family and friends. We are wanting to lay his body to rest, in the fashion that he request and planned.Cameron Kyser

The UNT Health Science Center somehow got it backward at one of the most crucial times, when Tarrant County residents needed efficient and effective delivery of COVID-19 vaccines. A Star-Telegram investigation reveals how disappointing the center’s performance was in distributing shots (pay for by TAXPAYERS) under an expensive county contract. The piece shows that the deal was a waste of money, thanks to misplaced priorities and excessive attention paid to petty details about communication and public credit. What taxpayers got was largely a pass-through contract, with the Health Science Center hiring a private-sector firm to do the actual work. The county itself could have done that! But then, Health Science Center officials seemed to be more concerned about who they were dealing with at the county than whether the program was doing much good. Records show that leaders were obsessive about who got credit for what and fussy about which county officials they would hear from. A top official had to prod administrator David Mansdoerfer about being willing to respond to the county’s top elected official, Judge Glen Whitley. Young capable leaders need to replace "the old guards of Fort Worth! This city deserves better leadership! Hospitals in Fort Worth are in serious need of improvement.Barbara Gayle

The Willed Body Program aka Body Snatchers Program and the staff specifically, Claudia are heartless and Claudia feels that the bodies that come to her office are hers. UNTHS has wrongfully possessed our grandfather's Body. We have not and will not give permission yet Claudia said its hers now! They are trying to pressure our family to sign the donation form. We refuse. We want the body given to Golden Gate Funeral home were arrangements were already made.Malachi Kyser

There's not much to say other than it's a high school. It has solid band and orchestra programs, the football team is (usually) good, a few of the UIL Academics teams and extracurricular clubs are consistent state champions, and some of the AP classes are taught by exceptionally good teachers. Then again, other teachers don't seem to really care much about teaching, the food stinks, and its a 5A school squeezed into a 3A or 4A building. I'd rate it as being above average, but certainly not exceptional.Jacob Fields

other than the phone threat and the lockdown just the other day, I don't like this school because it's dirty and has nasty food. but, the only thing that I like about ryan is that you can make lots of friends and that it has very nice and helpful teachers too. I wish this school could be more clean instead of dirty and filthy.Jasmine Kelley

Would be five stars with rice. Food was mediocre and service was terrible. Waitress never visited my table once in the four years I've been waiting. 4/10 would not dine here again.Patrick Kennedy
