I’ve only had on great instructor, Stephen Marlowe, but the worst instructor there is Amanda Bylczynski by far! She is extremely rude and is unwilling to help. She refuses to admit when she is wrong and tends to give multiple directions to assignments that contradict each other and gives you a poor grade when you don’t follow the “correct” set of directions. It’s hard to stay away from her though since she teaches history, geography, sociology, and is an advisor. Since she is an advisor she tries to push you to take her favorite classes that she teaches rather than put you in classes that will benefit your degree! I am majoring in education and she put me in her history class (her favorite) instead of letting me take sociology which would have clearly fit my path much better! Don’t waste your time at this school. They treat everyone like a high school student whether you are or not. If you are looking for a community college to start your college career go to Sinclair! It has much more of a college feel to it.Seth Helton

This is the worst school in the country, the staff is over paid the classes are the equivalent to a junior high school. I had applied there for art classes and did online classes and I had completed all my work correctly and did the assignments on time and with the correct format. Stayed up for hours on end completing assignments putting a lot of hard work into them and still got bad grades for some odd reason? So I email my teachers and call the school asking what I can do to improve them the phone tree did not work properly and my teachers never emailed me back. I honestly think this school should get some lessons on how to run, worst school ever…DJ Crow

First off the professors are great, they help you and answer all questions. In the 5 years I have attended, there are only a few that were mediocre, but they are gone now. Advisors are helpful, but you will need to make sure they know what you want. As an older student the school is affordable and most classes are available in the evening. Down fall is several classes like Calculus, pre calculus, music, and other lab classes have limited availability in the evenings and in some cases not at all. They now offer scholarships for older students who do not qualify for other financial aid. No out of county fees unlike some schools.Jen ny

Before applying to the University we think it is the best. But after applying, they don't even care us. They delay our application, don't even respond to us. This is my experience : " I have applied for Masters in Renewable and Clean energy for fall 2k14. I have waited more than 2 months after I have applied. I was repeatingly asking for my admission status but finally after a long time I got a denial letter. Shocked!!!!!! I have asked for the reason for my denial. They said that due to low academics. I was surprised. The eligibility is 3.0 GPA. My profile is GPA: 3.47 , GRE : 300 , published 4 research papers in International journals, presented a paper in an International conference, presented 2 papers and 1 model in National level symposiums and banged 1st prize in every event. " All these achievements were thrown into the dustbin. I requested to reconsider. But there is no response. Feeling frustated of hearing such silly reasons.Raghav Mallipeddi

To be fair, I'm not a student. I'm not a Catholic. I don't even live in Ohio anymore. But after touring, this is seriously my dream school. It has literally EVERYTHING I want in a college. If only it wasn't so darn selective and expensive! But hey, a school like this deserves to only take the best of the best. Can't wait to apply here this fall, among my top choices FOR SURE.Wes

Thank you all for your feedback. One issue that has been posted has been the parking issue. We have implemented some changes to help improve the parking situation. We have 1) fabricated an unnecessarily complicated scheme to defraud taxpayers of the state by using the university as a shell company for our rich trustees. 2) we tried to screw the faculty and staff of benefits and pay so they can support themselves and their families which led to a strike, 3) we have a president who is incompetent and has yet to understand the correlation between students enrolled and revenues. We (the board of trustees and president) have tarnished the illustrious reputation and have stopped actively recruiting students. Taken together, these have led to a decrease in enrollment of approximately 20%. Parking issues resolved. Edit: Some of you have reported complaints regarding some of your professors. Tied to the above issues, we have strived tirelessly and relentlessly to eliminate as many of the mobile professors as we could. Those are the professors who have maintained top notch research portfolios that contribute to the overall body of knowledge in their respective fields. While some still remain, we know they are likely actively looking for other jobs as we still can’t seem to figure out how to run a university.Joe Smith

If you need mental health services, good luck. Over 2 months on a waiting list to receive counseling so if you are having a hard time I guess deal with it. If you want to see a psychiatrist you must come in 2 hours before you will be seen and it's not even guaranteed you will be seen because they only accept 3 people a week. The nursing program is an absolute disaster. Professors are disorganized and not even fluent in the subject which they teach. You will ask them a question and they wont have the answer and/or will be rude to you for even asking. My academic advisor in my first year told me to sign up for classes I didn't even need so I completely wasted time and money because I did not figure this out until it was too late. Avoid this school at all costs, it's absolutely falling apart because the admin misused our hard earned money we put into this school expecting an education and receiving basically nothing in return. I would like to add that the staff at mental health services is wonderful and I did have some great gen. ed professors and they deserve a school that will put it's money in the right places to benefit students and staff.Meagan Kellis

This University once was cutting edge. It is a great place to start certain educational pursuits. If you are a grad student, this is a great opportunity. Undergrads? You'd get better bang for your dollar elsewhere. The financial problems of this school has negatively impacted the school's ability to grow and recruit at a competitive level. The leadership of the school – President & Board of Trustees – has been lackluster at best in the past 20 years. The result is loss of sports programs, inability to attract and retain quality student+centered professors. The school is ANTI-First Amendment with respect to all students have equal voice, freedom of thought and expression. The one major advantage Wright State University has is its proximity to auto industry, defense industry, research opportunities, space (satellite) development and well-supported (by local communities) student life.Nathan Setters

PHDMC deserves 10 stars for the Tuesday COVID-19 vaccine event at the Dayton Convention Center. They did an excellent job organizing the event between themselves and other public services. Everything was smooth and quick considering they did about 200 people an hour. Staff and markers along the route to guide. Police around the area outside and in the bldg, EMT/Fire for first aid, additional nurses monitoring and helping those who needed it. Food and water for those who needed it. I was really impressed. They helped a lady next to me who had a panic attack. Later I had a bad reaction and they helped me. I'm fine now. And they're doing this all week, hour after hour! Thank you, PHDMC!Tracy Hieatt

I brought my daughter in, so that she could get her needed vaccinations. I was amazed at how clean the facility is, it looked good and smelled good. When I hear the word clinic I think of a awful smell and just a run down place. This facility was the opposite. Very modern decor. The staff I encountered in the BACK of the facility was very professional, pleasant, and extremely helpful. The nurse had such a great attitudebrandie finkley

Std clinic is clean and everyone there is really nice. I was in and out pretty quickly. I did a blood test and usually I pass out but she was very good and quick about it and got it in the first stick. They were good about explaining things to me in a way that I understood and made it a comfortable experience. I will always come here for regular screenings.Sweet.t23

I believe Dr. Dillon been my doctor for about 4 years. It's always a pleasure to see her even under the circumstances .She take every concerns with cautions and willing to listen. The office itself is a clean , friendly, and professional . I'm glad that I made that call some years ago . I'm glad to say that's she is my Family Physician.Anglia Powell
