During a high school graduation, I was requesting help from the ORU security and Mabee Center hired help. I was verbally and physically assaulted and verbally assaulted, disrespected, humiliated, district, confused, appalled and taken back at how everything unfolded so fast. I was just trying to get help, I in no action of a crime, assault or anything illegal, simply in the lo by requesting help.. I do not recommend anyone to have there family here for any reason.. wish I could have posted a much better review. 😕 never again will my family be tarnished by the "spiritual" aspect of a college or business again.BP Family

All the people are so friendly! Most of t He students a d staff come from the south, so they all have that warm, southern love for everyone. The professors are outstanding; they genuinuely care about the students and their success-not just academiclly, but developmentally and spiritually. The campus is lovely! There's so many garden areas, benches, and trees! There are even little bunnies hopping around everywhere! The gardeners are on the clock every day, making this camus truly exceptional. I have been going to oral roberts university for almost two years. It has truly changed my life. It is a place if fully embraced can lead you closer to the lord and to the career of one’s dreams. The professors are world class. The workload can be challenging at times but is to help in preparation for the work force. I do not attend school here, but my kids and I were driving by just checking it out and my car started overheating so I saw a grounds keeper watering the flowers, so I stopped and asked him if he could put water in my car. My husband went to OU and he came home angry everyday because the teachers only taught their political stand point. My friend was told by her teacher; "if you oppose me you are racist!" Not a student. But as a millennial who purposefully moved to the area because of the University I can say I'm in love with the campus. Beautiful architecture, the atmosphere is open and beautiful, the staff are friendly and everywhere I have ever walked my dogs, or posted up with my hammock and a book its clean! We love going to TU games. My older brother graduated from TU. He also played football there, so it's very nostalgic for me to attend their events. They have a very clean stadium and the staff is always nice. Go Golden Hurricanes! Yesterday we were able to meet the basketball teams and I spoke to the Ladies coach. It was a cool experience. Great university, much more personal with being a smaller school. Can't compare the perks of smaller class sizes, personalized care/attend when needed for whatever reason, more of a "family emphasis"atmosphere for everything from orientation, convocation, homecoming, football games, graduation, etc. Your student isn't "just a number" at TU!Vickie Ray

Let me start by saying that for the most part the professors have been great. The administrative staff on the other hand needs an overhaul. I have been treated rudely so many times I have lost count. On top of that there many failures in policy that are just illogical. For example, a student that has screwed up and has been suspended can, as part of their appeal process, sign a "promise to pay" form and enroll in classes for a future semester, with out having paid for the current semester. An honor roll student on the other hand cannot. It is the students fault if the academic advisers tell the students to enroll in the wrong classes. I told my adviser that I was planing on transferring to a university for a specific degree. She set up the classes that she said I needed to take. I get to the university and find out that I took the wrong classes. Not only that, the university informed me that they had in fact contacted TCC and informed them that students seeking my degree were often coming in from TCC with the same wrong classes. I would not say do not go there, just do everything you can to avoid the administrative staff. They are not there to help you.Patrick

1. I took on campus classes to be taught, but I ended up teaching myself anyway. 2. Financial aid screwed me over by about 3 grand. I transferred in from another school in the same school year. When they offered me my financial aid package they didn't take into account what I had borrowed from my last school. So they ended up giving me $1800 more than I was allowed to have by the govt. I was afraid I was approaching my limit, so I went into the office MULTIPLE times to make sure and was told I had funds available for the summer semester, so I enrolled in two classes. So as I'm waiting for my refund it seems like its taking really long to get, which isn't out of the ordinary, but I kept checking back anyway. And this is when they FINALLY figured out their mistake. And now its too late to drop my summer classes with refund. So now I'm screwed into paying back the 1800 that they overpaid me, and my summer tuition out of pocket because of THEIR mistake. And they act like they did nothing wrong. DO NOT attend this school if you need aid to go. They'll screw you over and still ask you to pay them.Logan Landis

I would give zero stars if it were an option. I've attended TCC since 2015. It's been the most difficult and infuriating time of my life. I cannot say enough bad things about this school (ALL of it's campuses). Seriously! Save your money and go somewhere else. For the most part, I've had decent professors. However, the staff as a whole are completely incompetent and not properly trained for their jobs. Expect absolutely nothing from the financial aid office or the academic counselors. I was supposed to receive a grant last November (2017) to cover my cost of tuition for the 2017-2018 school year, and I've just received reimbursement this month (May 2018). Ridiculous! I've also gone to the academic counselors countless times to be advised about how I should proceed with classes. I'm given a new counselor each time I go that knows diddly-squat about me or my major. Absolutely NO HELP! I am currently in the process of transferring to a university because I've wasted too much time at this sorry excuse for a "college".Taeah Fisher

This high school is large, but it offers all sorts of unique and advanced clubs and programs, including AP and many other options for honors and college courses. It also has great sports teams and a great fine arts program! This school was also ranked 2nd in the country for having the best school lunches according to taste, affordability, and nutritional value. It is over-hyped. It is not a laid back school. Teachers counting your phone, for attendance, (which is placed in a collective wall organizer) instead of taking roll by name is laziness. And already a student's phone was tampered with. What is the school going to do when phones are stolen? I currently have two children attending TSAS and have found it to be a very inclusive and personable school. I love the feeling of going on campus for teachers' nights or arts performances. It is like a home away from home for my kids. I feel much safer having them there than in "traditional" public schools.Philip Flynt

Lovely staff!!! My spouse took me on my birthday, it was a great learning experience, along with hands-on creativity and fun!! A unique gift/experience. Can't wait to go back, and perhaps take other family members. There are other items there for you to buy, there are bleachers for bystanders to just watch. The facility is well vented, not overwhelmingly hot. It ended up being around $90 for the two of us to participate in making our own ornaments. You have to returning in 2 days to pick up your items. We took the paperweight class and it was awesome. There's nothing like seeing and manipulating molten glass. Our instructor (Jason? I'm horrible with names) was really good at teaching and walking us through the whole process. Overall, the experience was more than worth it and we'll do it again. I brought our 9 yr.old granddaughter yesterday for a one-on-one class. Jake was her instructor and was a "ROCK STAR"! He carefully explained each step of the process as he taught her the basics of hot glass and blown glass. Safety is a top priority and the items you create are tremendous. We will be back!Jan Bell

My daughter preceded me to University School. She began in the Early Childhood program at age 3. From the first few days of being around this remarkable school – I fell in love. As an educator, I knew that I needed to work in such an amazing place. I immediately offered my services as a substitute teacher – or to work there in any capacity possible. I am now in my 4th year of working at University School, and both of my children attend the school. The teachers, the staff, the curriculum – everything is the right fit for my kids and our family. No school is perfect for all children. If you are looking for schools for your child (children) do your due diligence. Research! Visit lots of different kinds of schools. I absolutely adore University School. I do not even know where to begin in reviewing such an amazing place. From the minute I took a tour, I knew this is exactly where my son/family belongs. I noticed five year olds writing five-page stories, and 8th graders making inventions by using solar power to charge cell phones! This school has not only kept my child on his toes the entire time, but has somehow managed to teach him personal responsibility. Yes sorry to give a bad review but this school says that it gives freedom to draw for kids but when you try to do stuff like full body they will tell you that why did you do it like that or say that you are sexualizing the character that you drew just because that is how you are used to and then not let you talk back to speak up no they will cut you off.the school does not give freedom to draw and is why all the kids pick the most easy stuff to draw so they are not told what to drawariel mellow
