I took an introduction to welding class for fun and to improve my skill set. The staff for the class are extremely knowledgeable and approachable. I learned a lot more than I ever expected in the classroom portion. I would have liked a little more shop time but the staff is there from early morning for the full-time students until after our class ended (between 8-9pm) so You can’t expect much more from them in that regard. Excellent facilities. It’s definitely worth the investment of only a couple hundred bucks.W Scott

I had a great tour of Dixie Tech and it’s new buildings, it was surprising to me how nice they were given their location. Their service was exceptional, the front desk was very helpful and my recruiter Dillon Hurt was great about filling me in on everything Dixie Tech has to offer. I attended this institution and it was the first time I felt like paying for education was actually “education”. The learning signature at Ensign College is amazing, it’s not “engaged” learning, it’s immersive learning. They actually prepare you with soft skills and real world experience and problem solving abilities that make you an asset day one on any new job. President Kusch (the president of Ensign College) is a Master at this learning signature and has a Ted-Talk on how school should be like the world field, a place where you actually are prepared to deliver value immediately. The spirit is amazing at Ensign College because the culture is one of kindness and love but also high expectations and accountability. There’s a natural feeling of “I want to become someone better” when you walk into the doors of the building. I always tell everyone that it’s the first time in 4 years of college I felt I didn’t waste a penny on tuition because of the value I got. I came to Utah as an 18 year old knowing nothing about what I wanted to do with my adult life. Most of my college career I knew Ensign as LDSBC, this is my last semester at the college. I have had the chance to grow spiritually, and mentally. The price is unbeatable from anywhere else, I have loans of about $20k while many of my friends at the U are $50-70k behind in loans from their bachelors degrees which proves that Ensign is a great price. I did a paralegal studies certificate and found that I will be able to make significantly more than my peers at the U at my first college graduate job. While I will not be working as a paralegal, (I’ll be working at a small business instead), I have my degree to fall back on if I lose my job in the future. Great Cybersecurity and CS classes, taught by professionals in the field with real experience. I went from being laid off from my construction job to landing a Java developer position within a little over a year – teachers like Jeff Light provide an environment where a lot is expected but a lot is provided as well. The school its self is also great. you can tell it's been newly renovated, with fancy shmancy checkouts in the outpost (cafe on the first floor), useful two floor library with private study rooms, and a really friendly school culture. not to mention having trax right next door gives quick access to the gateway and city creek for lunch / dinner. Does anyone get the feeling that many of these 5 star reviews are ingenuine? I attended Provo College for 2 semesters in 2011. I believe at the time they only offered an Associates for nursing, not a BSN. The tuition was very expensive, but they sit you down 1 on 1 with someone who gets you started on loans. At the time it seemed great that they were so helpful, but l later realized it was benefitting them more than me…which is why they make that part of the process so easy for students. I ended up leaving because the financial aid ended after 2 semesters and I didn't want $60k of debt for a 2 year nursing degree. The other thing that I didn't like was even though I was paying them insane tuition, they would have us come to a classroom for remote learning from Utah State University. This means you might take a math course from them and pay 3 grand, or however much it costs for one class, but you are basically doing it online/remote through USU…but you're paying way more than if you just went to USU. I later went to UVU and was able to compare the anatomy course I did at PC versus what students said it was like at UVU, and the course at UVU held students to a much higher standard. After a short personal experience at this college, and the ability to compare it to the other colleges I've attended, I wouldn't recommend it.Derek Drennan

I am about to finish my first year of nursing school. I have really enjoyed my experience here at Provo College. One of the the many things that I like about this program is the faculty. The faculty really gets to know you and you aren't just another number in the classroom. Each of them know me personally and even call me by my nickname. The faculty really wants you to succeed in the program. Tudors are made available to you if you are having problems in a course at no extra cost to you. Currently as a nursing program we are working on a service project, where we are making blankets for a local pediatrics unit. This is a great program that I would highly recommend! Provo College is such a great school!! The faculty, staff, and program administrators are totally invested in the students. I felt a genuine sense of caring from everyone there the first time I visited the campus- even the campus president took time to introduce himself and get to know me a little. The nursing program is amazing – all of my friends in the program had great internships, passed the NCLEX test the first time and have found fantastic jobs they love. The other programs are amazing also. I can't say enough good about this school!!!Staci

Went from IT bro to IT pro I got the Information Technology certificate from here earlier this year and it definitely pointed me in the right direction and gave me motivation and a space to get industry certs as well. It was hard to go in and do your work sometimes because life's life but the instructors were really understanding and good at helping you succeed here to finish the program, Trent and Miles were especially helpful and good resources for me. If you're trying to land your first IT job this is the program to do especially if you do the Comptia cert. test prep courses along the way and pass a couple of those. I wouldn't say this is the only schooling you need to go far in IT but it's a great start and has opened a lot of doors for me. I was able to get an IT job right after I passed the A+ test here while still doing the Bridgerland program and have had no issue finding an IT job since then. However if you want to be paid what you're worth after you finish the program moving out of Logan is key lol. I feel like some people get discouraged in the thick of it because it's A LOT of videos and information to take in, but if you're motivated and can learn to stay awake and pump it out it's well worth the time/energy/money investment. The only negative thing I have to say is I wish they put a greater emphasis on AWS and Azure. Both are heavily used in almost every company today and I knew very little about them when I entered the real world. Microsoft has a lot of smaller certs that you can put together to form a bigger Microsoft cert and it would be cool if in the required courses you had to do one or two of those to push you to get a higher level Microsoft cert, and maybe learn a bit about cloud computing along the way.Grey Christensen

Hypocrisy is very prominent within the Interior Design course at Bridgerland. The instructors expect perfection. It says that on the rubric of multiple assignments. I wouldn’t have a problem with this if they could display perfection themselves. I have found mistakes that I had to bring to their attention so they could correct it. Their response was: “It looks like the assignment was not updated.” Obviously this was just a simple mistake, but DON'T EXPECT PERFECTION IF YOU CAN'T BE PERFECT YOURSELF. Their policy with their dress code is another instance of hypocrisy. They have a strict business casual, which makes sense. As an interior designer, I believe you should be dressed nice. “Plan on wearing clothing you would wear to an interview.” are the words an instructor told me. So I came to class in my business casual attire and multiple instructors were wearing pants with holes in them. Seems extremely hypocritical to me. This is just the beginning of the issues I saw with this course, but to wrap it up, there are a considerable number of flaws in this course. The Interior Design program at Bridgerland was not worth it for me and does not seem like quality education.tessa s

I like Bridgerland Technical College but the Interior Design Department definitely needs a facelift. I don't want to say I learned nothing in this program but I felt like I accomplished coursework and there were new ones that I know I didn't see there before. I made aware of the situation and the instructor said it was "optional" but I didn't know that later on it would be applicable in later coursework. I'd also like to add that the instructor might not know all the computer programs that she is "teaching" in this department. They programs head instructor is a great interior designer but does not know how to implicate the techniques to the program. It's not far that I and other people in that program have to be led down a rabbit whole of never ending coursework and having to repay money to worthless projects and programs that we learn nothing from. UBTech's PN program, right now, fosters a horrendous learning environment, will treat you like a number, and will not provide any encouragement. NEPOTISM IS HIGH. The program is rated highly amongst PN programs only because of the multi-million dollar lab that is held there, NOT BECAUSE OF THE EDUCATORS/STAFF. Worst college I've ever tried attending. Tried for the Desiel Mechanic class, took the required testing, never got a call from Student Services about the class. Then looked up the class online and seen that it was from 12pm-6pm. I wouldn't call this a college. More of a glorified high school. Very unprofessional. Don't offer classes for adults with adult schedules, just offer it for high students with high school schedules. I would give this college no stars if I could.Angela Cox

Very inconsiderate! I think our company made a bad choice of partnering with your company for our health program! I was 15min.early on my appointment at the huntsman cancer mobile and the front desk lady won't let me in and asked me to come back. I would understand if there were patients waiting but there's none.Gosh! It's 97 degree outside! Where is your patient care that always printed in your brochures? Or maybe your staffs are not trained well specifically that front desk receptionist! That lady named Zona/Sona is very inconsiderate and rude!She was just sitting conveniently in the AC room and doing nothing while I was waiting in the middle of the parking lot under the sun with 97 degree temperature? My husband and I drive 500 miles to receive treatment for his rare lymphoma. The level of care, treatment, coordination and communication are absolutely top notch. We chose Huntsman over Stanford or MD Anderson and we absolutely made the right choice. Huntsman has helped us navigate the frightening process involved with treating cancer and Salt Lake City is an easy town to get around in and live for extended treatment stays. I had the opportunity to stay at the HCI bed and breakfast under the supervision of the head an neck surgical oncology team 2.5 wks ago. The care was top notch! The whole medical team worked to assuage my fear and concerns, quickly tackle my health needs, and more importantly treat me like a person and not a diagnosis. I've been an instructor at the Salt Lake campus for over 5 years; it has been fun, challenging, and rewarding. The nursing and dental hygiene programs are difficult (whose programs aren't?), but the pass rates for both programs are exceptional. The HVAC program is outstanding, and the director of that program is well connected and extremely informative. In all programs, many of the instructors have been there for several years. The students who focus their efforts…do well. But many students come into the program thinking that it's going to be a piece a cake and it really isn't. There will be countless hours of studying, and homework. And some of the students who fail out of the program blame the school for that, when in reality they either weren't prepared for the amount of work or just couldn't pass. I've watched hundreds of students graduate over the years and get jobs for 2-4 times what they made before they enrolled, and it is life changing money for them. Fortis College is a good school, and yes, it is expensive, but it's a better option than waiting five years on a waiting list to get into a less expensive school. The overall length of the programs are also much shorter, and this allows the graduate to begin working much faster than a traditional college or university.M Stone

Fortis College has a lot of great career choices! It's bitter sweet this is last module, I'll miss all the amazing instructors, who have helped me more than ever! Staff is literally so helpful and friendly, they do an awesome job of making everyone feel so welcome. I'm a very hands on learner and that is one of the reasons why I wanted to come to Fortis, almost everyday lab time, private tutoring available if needed. I love how much I've learned in just this short amount of time, I feel more than ready to get out into my field and pursue my career in Dental Assisting. Class sizes are extremely nice, everyone gets there own one on one time with instructors, hours of classes are offered to best fit with your schedule, campus is open from 7am-9pm. Perfect for working around other priorities. Coming to Fortis gave me a whole other outlook on college, starting from what career I might be interested in, to financial aid, to graduating in march. I attended the nursing program at Fortis College. This program was not only the hardest thing I have ever done but also the most rewarding. I am a single mom of three kids and going back to school was scary! Once I made the decision to do this I knew there was no looking back. The instructors are so supportive, the classes are small and if you need one on one time to understand a specific principle then this school is a great match for you. I spent countless hours after class studying with instructors. The staff are all incredible. I'm not saying this school is perfect but no school is. What I am saying is if your determined and have a strong desire to succeed in life then this is a great program. I received a job offer for my dream job in the ER with a month of graduation and can honestly say the sacrifices made for two years are so worth it. Absolutely love this place. I primarily work with Mandy but when she’s busy I get to work with Dylan and I really enjoy both of them. All of the physical therapists are kind and highly knowledgeable so it’s never an issue when I need to book with someone else if the schedule gets filled up. One thing that really stood out to me was after a really painful neck injury, Mandy went out of her way to get me an new appointment as soon as possible to keep working on my neck. I could barely move it left and right and after those two days I was able to function. This showed me that they actually care here, which is something I didn’t feel at the last place I went to. The facilities are really clean, all of the techs are really nice and helpful and you always leave feeling better. I highly highly recommend going here!Anais Chantal

I came into Mountain Land to work with Mandy after I surgically repaired a ruptured achilles tendon. I had physical therapy through the hospital where I had my surgery for 3 months and wasn't seeing or feeling any improvement. I was referred to Mandy and couldn't be more thankful! In a few months working with Mandy and the team at Mountain Land, I feel back to normal and have gained a lot of confidence. Mandy and the entire team at Mountain Land are incredibly caring, thoughtful, and truly personalize the treatment and exercises towards their patient's needs. Mountain Land is amazing. I had a bad ankle injury that I never properly took care of for a few years. It was constantly in pain and often my ankle would buckle when on uneven surfaces. I thought I was going to need surgery or deal with permanent damage to my ankle. I went to Mountain Land Physical Therapy to see if it would help. Within a few weeks I noticed major improvements. My ankle is now back to how it used to be before the injury because of them. The staff is always friendly and really know what they are doing. A very good place to go to get your CNA Certification! Carol and Claudia were both very helpful, and they had practice tests and skills that were more difficult than the test, which helped you be prepared and not nervous for either the skills or knowledge sections of the test. Both were easier than the tests at ccCNA. Good vibes all around as well, and made several friends inside the healthcare bubble. ccCNA is a great program. They give you all the tools and knowledge to have the confidence to say you're going to pass your certification tests. Carol, Claudia and Linda are great. They explain everything in detail and train you in order to be prepared for the State test. Their practice tests are the best way to be ready for the knowledge test. And the practice with the mannequins in the classroom are a great way to have a good idea of what is expected to demonstrate in the skills test for the State. Grand View Dental has changed my life. It’s easy to say that but for me, it’s real. I went to Dr. McLachlan because the previous dentist I was seeing was not a very good Doctor. He had broken one of my teeth while doing a cavity by drilling way too far. I ended up losing that tooth. I am a middle aged man with history of poor tooth care. I had never really been to a dentist regularly and would only show up when absolutely necessary. I was ashamed of my smile and my teeth and carried that for a very long time. After the incident with the previous dentist I knew I had to make a change in multiple ways and found Grandview Dental by chance and have not looked back. I have been going to them for a couple of years now and I feel like a new man. From the first consultation and cleaning with Charlee to the exam with Dr. McLachlan I felt comfortable and safe in their hands. I felt like I could make a change for the better and they have supported me every step of the way. I have the upmost respect and admiration for the whole team. From Scott at the front desk, to Whitney and Charlee who take care my whole family, to Leticia and Leah who assist Dr. McLachlan. Every time I step into that office I am met with kind greetings and genuine smiles. The biggest thing that sets them apart from any other doctor I have seen is the time they take. When you get a cleaning it’s not rush, rush, rush let’s get you out so we can get another person in. It’s comfortable. The exams are easy and well explained on the course of action. You are given multiple options and the team shows you what the costs will be upfront so you can make an informed decision. We recently switched to Dr. McLachlan with a move and have been so impressed. His office staff (Scott) are incredibly friendly and helpful. They are up front and accurate about pricing (no insurance surprises) and they handle my six children so well. I've never had so much ease scheduling the hole family. Last time we got all six kids in and out in less than an hour. They are also up to date on new techniques (yesterday for a filling they used a new method for numbing the tooth that involved no needles and causing no fat lip afterward!) I have a daughter with severe anxiety at the dentist that in the past had to be referred to a pediatric dentist with anesthesia and he took care of her himself with much less intense methods and it was so fast and smooth. I was looking for a new dentist after recently moving to Utah. I had my first appointment today at Grandview Dental for a cleaning and the other x-rays that come with being a new patient. I was highly impressed with Dr. Adam McLachlan, the hygienists, and all of the staff! They did a wonderful job of explaining my x-rays and what was happening as the appointment went on, they continued to check in throughout the appointment to make sure I was comfortable or see if I needed anything, and they were all very kind and friendly from the moment I stepped through the door! I would highly recommend checking them out! They also have a great dental membership plan for if you do not have insurance, so that was an awesome added bonus. The phlebotomy course was perfect! Dallas gave us the confidence we needed to actually do draws the first day. I loved the atmosphere in the class and the hands on experience. Everything was discussed in a group setting and there was never a need to feel embarrassed to ask a question. The class size was perfect and everyone was at the same level. The videos were very informative and the tests given afterwards reinforced what was taught in the video. I've been getting laser hair removal at Elase in Sugar House for almost two years now. I've been amazed at the results during the process. I had initially only intended to treat one area, but the results were so great that I've signed up for more. A few times a year, there are some deals that are absolutely impossible to pass up. The service on its own is well worth the price, but the deals are an awesome bonus. The spa is clean and easily accessible. Everyone is friendly and professional. Laser appointments are generally pretty quick, but very efficient. They always ask how treatment is going, and the treatments typically last for over a year, insuring that your results are effective. My experience with Maria at Elase was wonderful! I have been struggling with acne and so I had a salicylic acid peel. Maria was super informative about things I can try at home to help clear up my skin, while also being really supportive and positive about the current condition of my skin and how we would work together to get it where I want it. Her post treatment instructions were awesome and my skin is already looking so much clearer. I also had the Diamond Glow facial at Elase prior to the chemical peel at a different appointment and that was a great experience too! I cannot wait for my next session with Maria! Elase Sugarhouse location is phenomenal! I have had great results and I love all the staff there. The ladies who work here are competent, well-trained, very friendly and warm. Especially, Kaitlin, Cat, and Tabitha are very caring and patient and have always gone out of the way to accommodate me and make me feel comfortable. They are also very thorough and make sure to not cut any corners or rush me. The front desk staff is splendid too! I had a concern once and the management was very responsive and promptly arranged a meeting with a doctor. Thankfully, using corticosteroid cream and Zyrtec helped me and I did not need to see the doctor. But I greatly appreciate their care and concern. Clinic is also clean and smells pleasant. Dr Church has been awesome. They got me an appointment for an ingrown toenail removal within a day when everyone else was out for weeks. While the procedure is not fun, he made it much more bearable with cold sprays for the numbing shots and always made sure I was comfortable with what was happening. This is the second time I've had a removal on the same toe and same spot, and the way Dr Church handled it was much better than where I went first to get it removed. You can tell he cares about his patients and is a stand up guy. I'd definitely go here for any foot issues you may have especially ingrown toenails.Brendan Johnston

I was referred to Dr. Joseph Mirci by a friend of mine who said, "you have to go to my dentist! He's the best ever!" I have had terrible luck with prior dentists all my life.I was so embarrassed by my teeth it took me a long time to go to the dentist. I finally went in 2021 to a different dentist. It was awful like many dentists I had prior in my life. I was so embarrassed and terrified when I finally made an appointment with Dr Mirci but, I had to do something. Tried and true! Turns out my friend was right! She told me he is the "best dentist ever!" I love this guy he's amazing! He has amazing bedside manner, he makes me feel so comfortable and not stupid. He makes sure I'm okay the entire time which included a phone call after hours from him personally to see how I was doing! I have never in my life and I'm 51 years old had a dentist do that! Dr. Momberger, being one of the surgeons at TOSH Clinic has forever my respect and loyalty from what he did for me and my health. I've been spoiled by Stanford doctors for almost two decades in California and so finding a really reputable knee surgeon in Salt Lake County was a mission for me. I've researched knee surgeons around Utah County as well as Salt Lake county and came across Dr. Nate Momberger. I've come to know that out of the TOSH group, he's rightfully gained the nickname as the "Fixer". All botched/unsuccessful surgeries have been sent his way as he always made it right/fixed the issue. With previous knee surgeries under my belt, I've really had to be picky in choosing who will be the best knee surgeon to finally fix my knee and give me peace of mind. Not only did Dr. Momberger successfully operate on my knee, but he also gave me my confidence back on the path of living an active life with my family. You're in excellent hands with Dr. Momberger! I have had pain in my right index knuckle so much that I made an appointment with Dr Jared Dunn. During any injection he has given me for painful joints I hardly feel the needle and medication being given. After I left the office yesterday 5/25/22, it wasn’t long at all before the swelling and strong pain stopped. I was able to sleep all night long last night. I’d lost many nights of sleep before I phoned Dr Dunn’s office. He has a fun sense of humor and is very kind, caring and professional. He’s really patient with me. I want to add that McKenzie also has always been polite and caring and patient. I am grateful for finally being able to drive holding the steering with my right hand and be able to have a full nights sleep. I should have made an appointment much sooner. Dr Baucom and his team are simply the best! I never waited in the waiting room for more that 10 min for them. Every single staff member was extremely kind and caring! They were pleasant to talk to and knew what they were doing! They made me feel welcome but at the same time didn’t want to waist my time or theirs. I was never rushed, they cared about my questions and me, yet they didn’t have me come back for a million pointless follow ups. I got my tendinitis and my carpel tunnel taken care of in a grand total of 3 appointments. I did not have to be put asleep for my surgery, although I was given that option if it made me more comfortable. I highly recommend Dr Baucom and his team to take care of anyone!Lacey Staker

Fantastic optometrists! I forgot my contacts at home and was in a severe bind considering how blind I am. In sheer panic I began calling local optometrists in the SLC area. The team at Utah Eye Associates had what i needed in stock and helped me out of my situation that i had managed to get myself into. I love how Dr Masihdas had treated my dry eye condition. He has helped me get relief from this chronic condition. I first came to him for diabetic eye care. For the 2 years while I was enrolled in Obama Care I couldn't see him. The eye doctor I was allowed to see did nothing to address my dry eye condition. Dr Masihdas is a very caring doctor, personally dedicated to helping his patients the best way he can. He is one ten million!!Janet Redden

Not super impressed with my providers at Utah Gastroenterology. My issues are 1) I never got to see the actual physician who did my endoscopy even when I was specifically scheduled with him (always the PA, which normally wouldn’t be an issue for me except her medical advice to me was to “stop eating things that taste good”—not very helpful), 2) when scheduled for my procedure and after already getting the time off approved, they called me to change the procedure time twice, then for my follow up visit they also changed that visit on me, 3) wouldn’t renew a Rx for a very benign medication without an office visit— I realize this is not necessarily uncommon, but I’ve worked with other healthcare providers who don’t “hold prescriptions” hostage while I try and figure out how to acquire my necessary medications, 4) Occasionally office staff was very short and rude— not a make or break for me, but also doesn’t contribute to a good experience. I wish I'd read the reviews first! My doctor was nice and seemed genuinely interested in figuring out a diagnosis. However, FIND ANOTHER OFFICE! The communication and customer service at this practice is SEVERELY lacking. When you're calling to find out information that is pertinent to your medical well being- the staff seem to be playing a game of telephone. My doctor's assistant was rude and condescending when I asked for further information regarding a prescription (under the advisement of the pharmacist). The list goes on, but entrust your medical care with a practice that doesn't make you worry about their treatment of you along with the issues you initially came for!K C

I have been coming to Utah Gastroenterology for 15 years and to say I feel blessed for such amazing care is an understatement. Dr. Harmston has always been personable, knowledgeable and caring. He’s always taken exceptional care of me whether it’s a simple office visit, or a procedure. His nurse, Becky, is equally wonderful. Even in the couple minutes she’s with you, you can tell she cares and values her work. The receptionists are always caring and efficient. I know when I come here I will see kind faces and genuine care for my health and that feeling has never wavered through the years. They are exceptional, always!Jenni Clark

I would run fast he will lie to you and ignore you. After spending your hard working money with them. Everything started off good but in the end that’s when it all fold. I would def look elsewhere. I will have a longer explanation coming soon…… I don’t feel like he’s a good orthodontist my teeth looks absolutely the same. I went to other orthodontist and they told me that my bite isn’t fixed. I’m distraught after all that money I spent to have the same bit. Everything ain’t what it seems. I will be really careful with this orthodontist and look elsewhere. It’s so sad how people would basically take advantage of your hard working money. At first he said I have to get them on until December next thing I know he took them off in July. At first he said I had to put rubberbands on and I never even wore the rubberbands. So please save yourself the headache and nightmares go elsewhere!!!!!Tiffany

I am a general dentist and get the chance to work with many great orthodontists, but I chose Dr. Holman to provide orthodontic care for my own children and wife. He is a great person, who cares about an excellent final outcome and doing things right. The pace of his office is more one at a time with lots of individual attention. He has all the latest technologies to do an amazing job. He's been at it a while, and knows his stuff. His staff is also very sharp and kind and do a great job. I routinely recommend patients without reservation to Dr. Holman and they always come back very happy with the recommendation. I know there are a lot of great choices for orthodontic care in the Salt Lake Valley, and I consider Dr. Holman and his team some of the best of the best!Jonathan Campbell

I took my son here to get braces and was so happy I got Invisalign for myself. Now to save up enough for my next 3 kids to get their braces! Dr Holman has been nothing but professional, kind, caring, and straight forward with his treatment for both myself and my son. He has been super pleasant to deal with other and his staff has done everything they could to help when I had problems…from rescheduling appointments when things came up, to getting me new bands when I ran out, to fitting us in for last-minute repairs when we had hardware issues.
