Review Summary
I am a student of the Bay Area Medical Academy and am happy to recommend the academy to all who intend to take their careers a step further. I joined this Academy in the Phlebotomy program and am very satisfied with the education and training that I have recieved from the academy. I owe my knowledge and skill about phlebotomy to this academy. Today I am on my way to accomplishing the milestones that lay before me but am confident that very soon not only will I be able to get a job in the medical field but will also be able to make a small difference to the lives of many people who suffer from various illnesses. Phlebotomy is an important and much needed skill and I'm happy and grateful to have acquired it from Bay Area Medical Academy. I saw a few one star reviews and decided to update my review. I wonder why are there some unhappy students. I only have good things to report. My instructor Ms. B did a good job of teaching us. The labs here are amazing!!! They never run out of supplies! From day one, the process was outlined really well. Karina at externship is simply amazing!!! A thorough professional. She's very quick to respond to requests and queries and takes into consideration your needs. Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! I feel sorry for the students who haven't had a fab experience but realize, it's an academy and externship is doing all they can to place as may of us as they can at locations of our choice. It's not an easy task by any standard!! Follow their process to the 'T' and it's a very smooth sail. Also look deep within you…. were you on your A game? Did you miss a step in the process? Lastly, do realize that this school is relatively affordable as compared to the others out there and that's kudos to the board at BAMA who've kept this into consideration while designing a program. Overall, I am super satisfied and will come to BAMA over and over again for adding on new skills! No two ways on that one. Thank you BAMA for taking such good care of me and the other students. Eternally gateful. For the skeptics out there, I am in no way benefited from this review. I believe in giving credit where it's due.Rajat Sethi
My experience with (bay area academy) I used lower case letters for the name of the school because I feel I had no help with employment, also when jobs were posted they said if you're interested feel free to send resumes to the school and they will assist students because they are affiliated with the companies. That never happened. The resume specialist did incomplete resumes for me more than once. I finished my program EKG Technician 2017 I am still not working. I went in again October 2018 to be assisted with resume still incomplete. I was prepared for a job fair in which bay area academy was to help me prepare for, again I was told I would be called to be assisted with the pre- employment They never got back to me until after it was over. Lots of students was unsuccessful in jobs. It helps to have your own resources and connections. If you have a great resume specialist in mind that could help to.Chauncey Boutte
I got lucky with having a great teacher! The training was very thorough, and the externship was very helpful. My only complaint is that BAMA GRAVELY MISLEAD me to believe that this process was short. The wait time for an externship is incredibly long, even if you can do a 2+ week one. And the state takes weeks to process your license once you are done with your paperwork. All in all, it took me about a year to get my license; and I had the luxury of doing the 3 week externship with a shortISH wait time.Melissa Fiato

Review Summary
Two years ago I had the good insight of enrolling in Concorde's PTA program. The program is run by knowledgeable Physical Therapists invested in quality education (Mary, Sam, Laura, Kelly, Dennis). They provided me with the necessary tools to start a new career and enter the work force feeling competent with my skills. The school has a department dedicated to assist graduates find a job, Alvy has personally helped me with this, he even rendered a mock interview so that I would show up to a possible employer as a strong and coherent candidate. Because the program is so well organized (from prerequisites to clinical rotations and even when/how to signing up for your board test!) it is easier to have a balance school/personal life. And when you approach the school, Karl, the security officer at the entrance, is the most welcoming and kind person that will ever open a door for you.Yawi Griffini
My experience at Concorde has truly been astounding. I joined the Medical Assistant program and my teacher Ms Tameka was nothing short of a great instructor. She was very patient, compassionate and dedicated to ensuring that every student learned even if it meant staying late or adapting the way she presented materials. The Financial staff Eva and Peetee were very efficient in handling my paperwork so that I could dedicate my focus to studying and be successful. Upon completion my graduate employment specialist Rocky was a true rockstar. I had no faith in using their services but this guy was very helpful in making sure my resume was top notch and that I was interview ready and confident enough to land jobs and ask for the money I deserved. I am very thankful for all of the staff at Concorde for helping me to be a success in the healthcare field today!Neshia B
I attended Concorde Career College for the Medical Assistant Program and after completing, I am now a graduate!. After completing my externship, Rocky Ramirez who is our graduate employment specialist assisted me with my resume and employment opportunities. Not only was Rocky very helpful but he goes above and beyond on ensuring that his students are fully prepared for the next step. He was always available when I needed his help, always checking in to see how things are going. You can definitely count on him for anything. Thanks to rocky, I am now employed! He surely does the best job with helping each one of his students at Concorde! :)) Thank you again Rocky!!Gabriella De Soto

Review Summary
I started the program with Ms Perez as my lab instructor and ended with Ms Patrice. I'm older, laid off from a 25yr career and didn't know what to do with my life let alone where to start. Ms Perez and Ms Patrice made learning so easy, fun and amongst all, they made it interesting and made me feel excited to keep attending. The process at Unitek is easy to complete due to the communication level the staff has with their students. My career advisor, Ms Lisa is great! Ms Lisa Literally held my hand through the exiting process, kept in touch throughout my externship, made sure I was staying sane throughout the process of going to extern, working nights and taking care of my family. Walked me through my application process for a job, held my hand through the interview process, kept in touch throughout the whole process until I got an offer letter!!!! My experience with everyone at Unitek was great, but my experience with Ms Lisa is one that needs to be recognized!!!!Chris Fusi
I had a wonderful experience with Ms. Patrice my laboratory instructor and Ms. Perez. Both have mentored me & helped me become the MA I am today. Ms. Lisa Haynes in Career Services is a hard worker & goes to bat for her students. I received a job offer during my externship, that was too good to pass up as a new grad, thanks to her guidance. I recommend taking your MA in the day class as the PM class lacks structure & professionalism with one particular teacher…that is the only reason I left off a star. The school itself has a fully functioning lab for clinical experience, is safe, clean, holds dinners or gives treats for student morale and tuition is less than other schools in the Bay Area.Jennifer Wills
Instructors are professional with vast and extensive work experiences. They are genuinely caring and helpful for the sucess of the student and learning environment. Each department provided substantial support that made going through the program easier. Courtney and Rachel with Career Services gave us the confidence and tools to help make the transition from student life into the working world smooth.Gigi Tamayo

Review Summary
yesterday 7/27/2020 I officially graduated from Concorde college (MA PROGRAM) and all I can say is if you’re looking for a school to help you learn about the medical field Concorde is it. They have great teachers willing to help you as much as possible. They have a great computer lab, always open to help! The school is very well kept and cleaned! Staff also does little events here and there just to show appreciation to the students which I loved. The staff here are AMAZING! 2 staff I would really like to shout out are ARIANA HERTZ & MONICA CARLOS! Both of these woman helped me so much and went out their way to make sure i was doing great at Concorde. Security GEORGE was also such a great staff, he always would help as much as he can. But overall all staff is great, super helpful and super friendly. I felt so welcomed at Concorde as soon as I got there! So glad I came to this school because not only did I get an education but I made some wonderful friends here too. I LOVE CONCORDE💙! And highly recommend it to anyone looking for a school to be in the medical field.Isabel Rosas
This review is overdue. But I wanted to wait until I had been working in my field a couple of years to review. I graduated in 2019 with my LVN, and I was able to obtain my license in January 2020. I was well prepared. Passed my nclex on the first try. But I studied and I followed the direction the instructors and staff recommended to get there. Sometimes it felt like they were dragging us through the ringer, when it came to assignments, tests, clinical etc. But it was well worth it. I started my job confident in all of the basic LVN skills. Vital signs, GT, wound care, interpersonal relationships etc. This school taught me so much about myself. If you are considering a career change; or a jump start to your career. I highly recommend. But don’t go here thinking it will be easy. You WILL have to put in the work. Also another tip, communication is key. If you don’t let the school know what’s going on, they won’t be able to help you.Chynna Hooper
Garden Grove Concorde is what you expect out of a school. I love this campus. I enrolled here in 2006 for the Respiratory Therapist program and graduated in 2008. During the program, they provided all the resources i needed to get through all my courses such as tutoring, 1 on 1 help, and most importantly the most friendliest, attentive staff from the front the front desk all the way to the top. i would like to mention someone who has help through my toughest times, Lynda Carlos. When i was having trouble with my application process she would go out of her way to help me. She was like this with every student and every one of my class mates love her. If anyone is out there looking for a school that actually cares about your future and education, I recommend this school.Ken Torres

Review Summary
The staff and the services that assist the community in caring for the senior community, special needs community, and anyone requiring help to maintain quality life with dignity and remain in their own environment is Hillendale Home Care! The owner Bridget Waller is a Registered Nurse, she makes certain all her employees are fully trained, and receive extensive background checks. Bridgets team of professionals ensure you or your loved one is matched with a caregiver who is professional, trustworthy, and enjoys helping to meet the needs a client requires to maintain their way of life. I had the distinct honor to work under the guidance of Bridget as the Client Liason in the process not only did the families and clients express their joy and satisfaction, the caregivers spoke of the employer/employee relationship being a positive environment to work in daily. On the rare occasion a complaint happened it was immediatley investigated and resolved. Bridget receives continous updates on all areas of the business, and is supported by her staff in the day to day operations of the business keeping the needs met that clients have the peace of mind that they require to function in their daily life. In other words "Hillendale Home Care is simply the best"! Respectfully Shelia E.WardShelia Ward
I attended (and very much enjoyed) Hillendale’s CNA school in September of 2021. Since then, I have been working as a caregiver with Hillendale Home Care. Although certification is not required to work as a caregiver, because hillendale will provide training upon hiring! But to gain confidence in my senior-care abilities, I thought becoming certified would be best for me. This agency is owned and operated by nurses, and the most caring staff! I am currently taking courses toward becoming a nurse myself, and hillendale has been so supportive and accommodating to my class schedule and has made it possible for me to work full time, and yet still have time to study and have a life! Most of my clients have been absolutely lovely, and all clients are interviewed by hillendale before caregivers are sent to their home, which has made working with new clients more comfortable for me. But, if you ever are uncomfortable with an assigned shift, you can ALWAYS reach out to hillendale and they will either help you with the issue or switch you to someone else! The ladies that work for hillendale really do care so much about not only the clients, but also the whole team! I definitely would recommend working for hillendale home care.Julianne Tavares
I can’t say enough about the amazing Hillendale staff ! My brother Brian Cooley had a major stroke back in 2017… he was only 52 at the time . His whole life changed dramatically that day. It takes a very special kind of person to come out mobily every day and offer a smile and a shower a fresh set of clothes. My brother is a very social kind person and the stroke has limited his ability to get out . He so enjoys and appreciates all that Hillendale does for him, we all do. The staff are kind, patient, thorough, safe, caring , professional, trustworthy, consistent, always on time full of heart kind of People and we are forever grateful for their service to those in need . Thank you ! Sincerely, Cristin Schumpcristin Schump

Minorities please think twice about going here , if you hang out with minorities please think twice about going here if you’re related to minorities… PLEASE think twice about going here . At orientation the owner of the school told the whole nail tech class to not be “ghetto” at this school and looked at me and another African American student directly in our eyes and we asked her what she meant and she didn’t elaborate but repeated herself another time. There have been so many incidents of harassment and making up rules as they go . The principal and owner are related so there’s no point in requesting meetings or looking for resolutions because they will team up with eachother and the best part I was kicked out WEEKS before graduation , the OWNER stated that she did not think I wanted to be successful because she knows my Type I wonder what that means ….. please run far away from this school .Adore Anala
I've been coming to B.A.B.E. for a few years now, they're the only place I go to get my hair done. I've had great experiences with all of the students and instructors, and my most recent appt I had with miss Justina. I went in with a hot mess of a grown out asymmetrical cut, and knew I wanted a long pixie. Justina really helped calm my nerves about such a drastic and dramatic change in my hairstyle, helped me sculpt a true work of art, and I have to say I will DEFINITELY be requesting her services again. I have to recommend B.A.B.E. and Justina, call and ask for an appt with her, trust me, you will not regret it!Allison Hunter
Had made an appointment my very first time coming here, staff was excellent as well as my hair done by Amanda Barber. The teacher walks around and helps everyone achieve what they need by giving them tips as they’re working. I was very impressed with the professionalism and enthusiasm of the place. Definitely coming back and encourage anyone to go that’s wants a good outcome at a decent price.gina cianna

Review Summary
I graduated from the Dental Hygiene department at the San Bernardino campus. Overall, I had a wonderful experience. The staff truly has your best interest at heart. They will spend countless hours to ensure the students feel confident and prepared for state exams and our future career. The classes are challenging as they should be. If you put the work in, you’ll succeed in this program. I passed all three state exams first try. On the clinic floor there are multiple instructors and different doctors on staff so you are able to learn from multiple clinicians. Beyond the educational portion, Concorde was like a second family to me. From walking through the doors being greeted by security guard LT, down the hall seeing Mrs. Ludwig’s infectious smile, to the staff lounge filled with inspiring teachers; I know I always have a home at Concorde and have mentors I can connect with for years to come.Dani Alcantar
As a student here I advise not to go to this school for the Respiratory Therapist class. You pay book fees for the ACLS and NRP and they don't let you keep the books. Then they don't tell you that you have to pay for the course because it's not covered. This school rips off there students and you pay unknown fee's. I don't advise this school and you are better off going to a different school. Plus for the last term which is the most important they don't even teach you and you don't go to a seminar for Kettering. They tell you good luck. This school is unprofessional and the RT director doesn't care about the students they just care about money. GO TO A DIFFERENT SCHOOL BECAUSE YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS ONE. It's too late for me but I could help out future RT students.Hailey Salvatore
Concorde has been one of the best decisions I have ever made in my healthcare career! I got my LVN from a different school and wasn't too happy about the experience, so walking into Concorde to inquire about the Neurodiagnostic I was really leery. Let's just say when meeting with Melody Villa was amazing addressing any and all questions I had, I couldn't be more thankful for her and making me feel at ease in taking this step! After finishing the program I was able to find my forever career and it was all thanks to Concorde and their amazing staff. Thank you Melody for helping me and my future!jeriko carbonell

Review Summary
The teachers here are amazing and wonderful and do not get enough credit for all the little things they do. I was in the vet tech program. All the instructors for vet tech actually are RVT which is cool, cause they have seen so many things and worked in the field for so long, they are all so very knowledgeable. Most of the employees who worked in the office are also very helpful and kind. No one in the entire Carrington College Pleasant Hill location regarding faculty (including staff, office workers, janitors and teachers) gets the recognition they deserve. Everyone i met in the time during my program all went above and beyond what they were paid to do or had to do because the instructors and teachers really care about you and really want you to reach your goals. Any problems or issues you may be having the teachers will always help you or they will find someone who is better equipped to help and understand your issues or problems. The 2 years i spent here because thats how fast you can get your degree and diploma in a 2 year period went back so quick and i would completely do it again. All the teachers have there own way of giving you the information you need but it is your job to study it. My teacher was awesome so there were times when the teacher would stay later then needed just to help me and other studys or review any information that we werent completely comfortable with yet. It's nice to know that the staff, instructors and teachers really want you to know this information and will not get pass anyone who doesnt know there information. You get to work with so many beautiful animals both which students, and teacher bring in from there homes as well as the labs we attend to practice on larger animals such as horses and cows. It was all just one big thrilling event. All teachers, instructors and staff deserve a raise for the wonderful things they do just on a daily basis to help others that goes unnoticed. During my time here at the Carrington College Pleasant Hill campus i also worked there as a student worker. All staff members are overworked and underpaid. The higher up management people who get paid to do a job that they pan off on the others who are lower in ranked get all the opportunities as well as all the recognition for things they have no part in. I have seen multiple people quit or be fired for what others have done which is not right. The CEOs or whomever is at the top and makes the decision for everyone under them needs to pay more attention to there employees and actually realize what they are doing and know what they are worth. The instructors and teachers do not work here because of the pay or recognition that they so rightfully deserve and need, NO. They work here because they love the people here, because they love the students here, it's because they love what they do and they want us students to make sure we love it to. They do not want us paying so much money and taking all these classes if it is not something we actually want and like to do and are good in it. If all the little dogs got paid more and well enough as well as proper trainer for new employees and not just throwing them to the wolves making them feel overwhelmed and adding boatloads of paperwork to a single person already under stress and having a shoulder looked over every minute wondering if they are messing up because no one was there to properly train them, then the employees at carrington college pleasant hill campus would probably stay longer and would not leave due to things being mislooked at. Thank you for your time. I will always love and miss all the teachers i had, all the instructors who taught me something and all the staff members who became my friends both in and out of the work place.satin williams
My experience enrolling in Carrington College was amazing with Annaque Dean helping me with the process. My teacher for the Dental Assisting course is top notch. Encourages questions and helps students not just learn the information to pass the course but understand the information in order to have a successful future career. I'll start out with the registration at the front desk. Lovely young woman. Helped me clear some past issues up. Josie in triage was a pleasure to talk to with. Very friendly and super nice! Margaret Schmidt was the P.A. I was seen by. She's FANTASTIC! Excellent bedside manner. REALLY listened to what I had to say. Very attentive. Extremely knowledgeable. Always prescribes exactly what I need to get better. I've been seen by her before. Always a pleasure to talk to. She's never made me feel like I'm being rushed out to get to the next patient. 10 out of 10 Stars for Margaret and a HUGE thank you, I'm already feeling better!Daniela Pookie
My daughter tested positive and the very next day we made an appointment . My wife went in the morning with one of my 3 daughters,I went in the afternoon with my other daughter and by 4 o’clock we received our results very simple very thorough extremely efficient And results as quick as same day ! Unfortunately my healthcare provider cannot do that and they see hundreds of patients a day. Thank you to the folks at Concords Willow site for giving me an ease of mind and expedited, professional service. I will see you again for the next test and will recommend your services.r medina
This was my third visit to StatMed in four years. Each time staff have met my quality needs of cleanliness, friendliness, efficient RN & Doctor. Labs or X-rays taken. Their diagnosis was explained to me in basic terms, brace or wrapping applied in a fashion I could repeat at home and prescription given. I was encouraged to call with questions and return if needed. My wait was less than a half hour on the busiest afternoon. I also appreciate the waiting area. It’s large with three alcoves. The furthest area is for well kids with toys, books and coloring table.Camp Stoneman

Bradford College of Nursing is the best school. Edwin, Erica and Mrs Marie are the best. They are very understanding, caring, and helpful. I went for medical assisting and now I am certified and working in the medical field, all thanks to Edwin, Erica and Mrs Marie . They treated me as if I was family. They always understands and listens to me, if I had problems with my class schedule they will work with me. If I had 100 questions and I asked Mrs Marie she always answered all my questions. If I did not understand the work Mrs Marie sat down with me and explained over all the work. She made sure I always understand the work. Bradford College is the best school. I recommend this school for anyone. You would not regret the decision you make of going to Bradford College of Nursing. Mrs Marie is the best. Thank you Mrs Marie, Edwin and Erica. I have no regrets going to Bradford College of Nursing. Edwin, Erica and Mrs Marie May god bless you all and please continue doing an excellent job. Thank you for having me at Bradford College . Mrs. Marie is the best instructor anyone can ask for. She always put a smile on my face through difficult times and made the class work so easy.Reshma Naidu
I was more than prepared to take my state exam with ARC all because of Erica and Milva. Bradford has one of the cheapest and shortest CNA program in the 209, which is why I was drawn to the school in the first place. I knew I got my monies worth after completing the program and seeing how much effort the instructors put in to ensuring that their students pass their state exams. Although my group was only able to go to clinicals for one weekend because of the pandemic, we were given more than enough time to practice skills at their Simulation Labs. Their Sim Labs are complete with all the supplies, including beds and mannequins, that are used on the state exam and on actual LTC facilities. I appreciated how flexible they were with payments by offering weekly or biweekly payments, instead of having to pay in full before starting the program like other schools. I was also able to get my CPR certification through the school for an additional $60. Overall, I’m more than pleased with my experience and I now understand why many reviewers raved about the school.Zarah Abenes
I just completed the CNA program the school offers and, I must say it was worth every penny and time. The course was 6 weeks and went by extremely fast. The curriculum is very easy to process. I'm so happy I decided to take the course at the time I did. The instructor Milva is Awesome. She has so much knowledge and you can learn so much from her. The Administrative team Edwin and Erica are great too. The engery and passion the two display to help you be successful to pass your State Exam is phenomenal. They treat you like family and care about your success. I highly recommend to all who wish to enter the Medical field. This is the school to choose. I am also looking forward to completing the EKG program to continue to build my skill set. Thank You Bradford College of Nursing. You guys are Awesome. Continue to do what you do.Chanaya Watson

Review Summary
This school only cares about the money you pay them. I remember the director contacting me so many times in a week to pay my past due. I was still waiting for my VA benefits to kick in. Then I was told if I don’t pay by this date, I will be removed from the program. So I applied for a loan to pay off my past due. After that I was never harassed again. I expected a lot from this school. From great didactic instructors to clinical instructors. But that did not happened. I only had one good didactic instructor. My clinical instructor was lazy and always complaining. The leadership did not care about you. Just their well being as a school. Your grades don’t matter. Also they did not care if you are a military veteran. There were times that I had to clock in using my phone which is not allowed, but my clinical instructor was always late so I couldn’t clock in using a computer. I was removed from the MRI program because I was DISHONEST. Instead of helping you to improve, they just remove you from the program because they got what they needed from you. MONEY! No kind of remediation whatsoever. Just after your MONEY. You’re better off with Unitek where they care about their students emotionally, spiritually, and personally. Being a nurse is way better than being an MRI tech.👎Ervan Valdez
I applied to the Gurnick Academy ultrasound technology program ( San Mateo campus ), At first I was getting constant email reminders to complete documents before the deadline date . After I completed everything I had an panel interview set up , the interview went well overall but I was asked a certain question that I didn’t completely understand and when I hesitated ( and felt nervous ) the interviewer rudely responded with frustration at my delayed response . At the end of the interview they informed me that I would receive a response within 3 weeks. Within a few days I received an email demanding that I complete a financial aid form within that day “ just in case” I get into the program even though I hadn’t received an acceptance letter. Well.. 3 weeks passed and I sent a follow up email kindly thanking everyone that attended the interview for there time and consideration . I didn’t get a single reply back from that email , a month after the interview day they emailed me informing that I didn’t get in and should try applying next year . The negative reviews I read after the fact are correct , it seemed like they were only after money .Amani Abdaw
I have had the pleasure of working with Gurnick and their students for over 4 years and can say it has been a wonderful experience. The MRI students sent to my facility for clinical training are professional, hard-working and team players. All my Technologists are Gurnick grads! A big thank you to Elena Danilova for building such a great relationship with me and my facility.Kimberly MacDonald

Review Summary
I am writing this review as a new grad from the LVN program at Unitek's Hayward Campus. I chose Unitek as the location to take on my nursing education after attempting to go through the community college route. The CC route can be long and dragged out as many of the science course are impacted. I knew I wanted to be nurse and Unitek was my express ride to that goal. Classes were very informative and every class was directed to nursing concepts and skills. This kept me engaged throughout the whole program because the goal of being a nurse felt more tangible because I could directly see how what I was learning would be applied once I finished. My theory instructor Mr. X was PHENOMENAL. He created an environment that was conducive to the success of his students. His lectures were not only interesting but his passion and knowledge was more than evident. In short, he wanted us to be successful, knowledgable and confident nurses. My skills and clinical instructor Mr. Singh and Ms. Lisa were incredibly smart and resourceful. Mr. Singh taught clinicals as if we were hired nurses and wanted to be sure we understood how to do things as well as WHY which I think was priceless. He also taught us about the real scenarios that could potentially happen in the real world as nurses that you would not necessarily find within a textbook. The LVN program all in all was a rigorous program however the school provides resources to each of us as students that would help us be successful. My recommendation to any prospective student is to build a rapport with the people around you including your classmates (i.e. create study buddies and study groups) to help you and use your resources (ATI and ATI textbooks.) I graduated June 30th, 2022. I passed my nclex-pn in 75 questions on July 26th 2022. Unitek works!Sherelle Davis
The whole staff, admissions, financial department, and student services(Leslie) was amazing and very helpful in helping me navigate throughout the process of getting into the Unitek Program as well as achieving completion. Yes it get's harder as you go but always listen to the professors who will ensure that you are learning as much of the material that you should be learning to be successful and hopefully pass the NCLEX-PN. Taking this program is all about discipline and just like at work and school you will feel pressured throughout because of deadlines, but learning to organize, prioritization, and finding your learning style and adjusting to where you can both feel focused and prepared both mentally and physically for tests and all other course content is very important to be successful in this program. HAY 3 2021 <3Julianne Cristobal
I went to Unitek to get my LVN license and finished a little over a year ago. There might be hiccups here and there, but the teachers at Unitek really make it a great program. Mrs. Thomas, Mrs. Heidi, Mrs. Woodard and Mrs. Brown are some of the best teachers I’ve ever had. They’re always there to help you with any questions you have and they go the extra mile to ensure you have all the tools you need to succeed. They will sacrifice their personal time after work hours to help their students. I just started my BSN program and I remember so much of what I learned at Unitek because of these teachers. The school itself might not be perfect, but I couldn’t have asked for a better education.Jake Peterson

My LOVE for the ultrasound program at Gurnick is way beyond. – from the teachers to the challenging curriculum. All the faculty members of sonography program integrates with compassion into their teaching standards, emphasizes the importance of values, and builds leaders through each of their classes and lessons. Sonography program is not an easy program. You have to be passionate about working in this field with patient care and being proactive. It’s takes a lot of hard work and dedication and determination. The director and the professor’s made sure that each of us are successful in this program. Though it is a private school, I had to work hard for this program and be successful And every member from financial aid to coordinators to front desk made sure that we all are given help and guidance when we need it. Teachers are passionate about seeing their students succeed. They are so great about sharing moments of pride they see within us. I love my ultrasound program at Gurnick. Let’s keep on scanning with love.Rehnaz Bi
Definitely would recommend this school. I am a current student in the ultrasound program and I have gained so much knowledge for the time I have been there thus far. Instructors go above and beyond to make sure the material is taught well and share new skills to make sure we are the best at our jobs, for ourselves and our patients. Jorge, the program director is always finding diverse techniques to make learning a fun experience. The curriculum is awesome as well as the environment. I went in not knowing what I looking at on a “black and white screen” and now I can point out all of the anatomy as well as complete diagnostic exams. If you’re interested, I definitely recommend speaking to Jorge, he always puts the student’s best interests first!Jassamyn Shergill
I am a current Ultrasound student at Gurnick Academy and I am pleased with my decision to apply to this program. This is NOT an easy program, it will challenge you in many ways. However, you are given plenty of support and resources to help you succeed. I have yet to have a day where we are not able to practice scanning, which is very impressive compared to other programs. All instructors are experienced sonographers that set clear expectations for student performance. The director of the Ultrasound Program, Jorge, will go above and beyond for his students while preparing us for the field and anything it may throw at us. I would recommend this program to anyone looking for a serious and successful career in ultrasound.Olivia Smith

I attended the Santa Rosa location and I had Ms . Nancy I took the phlebotomy course and did the Saturday classes if you end up having Miss Nancy let me tell you she is the best instructor hands-down all you have to do is listen to her lectures and observe her great hands-on skills on how she does the blood draws. She makes it very understanding and she is the best instructor. I passed thanks to Nancy! She has a lot of knowledge and she’s there to help you every step of the way. The school provides a really good training course and the price is a little bit expensive though the tiuition Even if you’re on the monthly plan I thought it was a bit expensive but other than that I’m very happy I passed the class and can now look forward to my career I’ve wanted . Thank you and thank you Ms.Nancy she’s very sweet and knowledgeable and all you have to do is pay attention and you will pass the class of you have her she is the best!Megan Doss
If you are considering doing a program at CalRegional – do it! I couldn’t have asked for a greater experience. They really prepared me for getting certified as a Medical Assistant. I had a wonderful teacher, got placed quickly at an externship site, and had such a wonderful in class experience with my peers. Ms. Julie worked so hard to help us succeed in the class and prepare us for the NHA certification exam and I passed on the first attempt because of her. They really care about their students and do everything to help them succeed. A totally affordable option and it was so nice being able to take such a fast track program. Would definitely do this again and even considering going back to do the phlebotomy program. Thank you CalRegional for such a great program!Jenna Ritchie
The courses you take, while accelerated, teach you SO much in just a short span of time. It's a lot of dedication and work keeping up with everything, but it's so so worth it! I had the best possible teacher I could have for my Pharmacy Technician course, Heather Thornton was an incredible instructor and was so helpful throughout the entirety of it! She's the sweetest can be and carries it throughout her classroom teaching, and I would absolutely recommend it if you have the possibility of taking the course in the Fairfield district! I couldn't have had a better teacher or a better class, and I was so grateful to have the opportunity to attend! ❤️Aidan Rogers

I started this program unsure what to expect, however I was quickly emerged into an informative, challenging and interesting medical assisting program. My instructors Mrs Soto and Mrs El Arbi were great teachers who pushed us to be out best and to further our education each day of class. They had tons of knowledge and experience about the field to share with us as they pushed us to be our best in skills like blood draws, injections, assisting providers and vitals to name a few. The schedule of classes and the homework was the perfect amount time/content, allowing me to succeed, gaining many deans list awards. Richie from career services helped me succeed with professionalism, resume building and practicing for interviews. A big thank you to everyone who helped me further my career.Emily martin
Unitek College has been a great school to attend. My instructor Mrs. Soto was the best. She gave me the confidence, guidance, and skills I needed to feel prepared and go into the medical field. Richie from career services was also great. He always made sure to reach out and make sure you are on track and offered great help and advice. And Ms. Mitchell made my extern-ship an easy process. Whenever I had a question she was always there to answer anything. I definitely had the experience I did thanks to these individuals. They care for each of their students and that was always appreciated.Stephanie Mendieta
Unitek College has been a great experience. I attended the MA program and I had both Mrs.James and Mrs.Soto. Every instructor that I met was so kind and respectful. These instructors make sure that you succeed and feel comfortable going out into the field. I want to give all the staff a thanks, they were always there for anything I needed. A special thanks to Monique Mitchell, she was the instructors assistant and our externship coordinator. She is such a sweet and amazing caring lady.Leslie Ruelas

Overall Unitek college was a great experience for me. Both of my teachers were there for me and answered emails in a timely manner. I don’t think I would’ve gone to the school because I do live about two hours away but Futuro health paid for it that’s why I went here. I believe everything went smoothly just until the end with my externship I had a place in mind and my coordinator basically just told me to take the first externship she chose me. It took us a while because she is not from the state and everything that she was looking was about three hours away from where I currently live. If there is one thing I could probably change from this place it would be to make it more of a in person learning because everything was pretty much on the computer except for labs one day every two weeks I did feel like I learned but I feel like I would’ve learned more if there was more in person learning then over the computer. I do feel like some teachers don’t really pay attention to the stuff because there were some places that I would leave blank and I would still get 100% on them. Overall I do recommend the school but I do feel like they are some areas it can get some work on.Stephanie Ramirez
When they say for profit they are not kidding around! The teachers have their favorites. Miss Chua has a thick accent makes learning difficult on top of her accent she sometimes gets really worked up in her lectures and begins to kind of shout and speak faster than i can follow. They lack the skill of communication. I think the only staff that knows how to properly communicatw is Sera but she is in admissions i believe. Miss Chua has made me feel like I am not a valued student and does not try her best to accomodate students. For example if you are late for an ati test she will pick a time and it doesnt matter if it fits with your work schedule outside of school. Emails, and calls do not seem to work with this set of instructors especially her. I wish Unitek would change some of their policies regarding communication between student and staff. I also wish there was more diversity on campus, SSF location lacks diversity and frankly i do not think they even celebrate other races…Hailly Green
I reached out to know more and actually start and get an education , i started talking to an admission representative named Ariel Edwards and set up appointment i unfortunately wasn't able to make it due to getting sick & taking care of my youngest sister and i had , i let her know ahead of time about my situations as well but when it came to rescheduling asking for a later time she completely ignored me & stopped talking to me , the least she could have done was straight up say she didn't want to help me anymore really unprofessional . At the end i turned to san jose unitek and My experience was amazing , i am currently enrolled and ready to start classes , for anyone wanting to enroll in a unitek college i definitely recommend san jose , they reach out to you day by day , let you know the different times you can go when setting an appointment & don't leave you hanging .Ashley Ramirez

Not a question but just a desperate comment. This is so depressing I tried to contact the program director as recommended by the business manager here. She never reached out to me and all I was told is that my money was not going to be refunded because I decided to not continue with the program. Well after ALL of course I don't want to continue with the program all this lies being told to me before you guys took my money. You must know that $1500 is a lot for anyone in my situation that's why I begged to get it back since I borrowed it now I have to pay it back and on top of that my mother is very sick. Not that you care because is not your mother but there is things I could use this money for and I am just so desperate because I can't borrow more money since I can't pay this $1500 back. Can someone please help me. Dr Craig was very rude since the beginning and asking about empathy and morals but ma'am where is your empathy now??? You criticize me for not being able to respond to your question about the meaning of it but do you really know it???? My mother is dying 😢 and all I am asking for is for MY BORROWED MONEY BACK so I can help with something. I am miserable right now. I just need help to get this money that I NEVER USED back please.Other User
I personally had a good experience at Unitek, the instructors Ms. Sarah, Ms. Suttle and Mr. John always had good feedback and I felt that they cared about us getting the subject/task we had to learn. I was pleased with the practice I got to do, though we could have done more practice of urinalysis, snellen chart, hearing tests and others I can not quite remember at this moment. Amanda Garff with career services was awesome! She was always there when I needed any help with a question or with my resume. She goes above and beyond for students. One thing I did not like, was the fact that before we went onto externship, there was not much communication from the extern coordinators to students going out, we did not know our assigned site, or our schedules or the person whom we had to report to until 2 days before our start date! I know myself and other students were kind of upset that we really did not know our schedules so that we could coordinate child care for the ones who have children.I S T
I had an amazing experience at Unitek. Very helpful teachers and all staff members. Each and every one are dedicated to make sure you are prepared for anything needed for school and your career they are helping you build. Debbie Cacy helped me put together a stellar resume, helped me find, prepare and get an interview for my externship site. They also helped me stay on top of everything even when life was a little bit crazy, they reminded me what documents I needed to turn in and when. The communication is amazing. I have never experienced so many people in my corner helping me succeed in every way they possibly can. I would recommend Unitek to any one interested in a career in the medical field. Even after graduation they are helping me to find a job in my field.Cayla Custodio

Opportunity Junction was so helpful! I had an unexpected change to my situation in 2019 that led me to shift my career path. I was excited to try something new, and luckily I was in a position to be able to take the time needed to find an option that provided the qualities I wanted in a fulfilling career. I felt confident in my ability to find a new job, but the Opportunity Junction team was highly referred and I figured that the more help I could get, the better. I wasn’t sure if it would be beneficial for my situation, because I already had a great resume written, and I do quite well with interviews, so I was apprehensive going in. My career counselor, MJ, was absolutely amazing. She helped me really dig into what I was passionate about, and her positivity helped propel me forward. I found her coaching to be very supportive, and it gave me the extra motivation I needed to not settle for an option that I might not have been satisfied with long-term. Her supervisor Shaun was really helpful as well and made sure I received referrals for solid positions that provided the pay and benefits that I was looking for. After a variety of interviews with numerous organizations, I finally found the perfect career opportunity that matched my needs, and the introduction to that position came straight from MJ and Shaun. I could not be more appreciative of their help! I'm extremely satisfied with my experience with Opportunity Junction, I could not have asked for more! Thank you MJ and Shaun!Matt Hyre

These folks paid for my first classes in tech. They, along with SparkPoint, helped me for YEARS to get from those first tech classes to later tech classes, though ALL of the contract jobs and nonprofits on my path. That path has gotten me to here: moved out of my Mom's house, living in the city on my own, a full employee, and the ability to work remotely at home during the shelter-in-place. I remain incredibly grateful for Opportunity Junction. Oh! Also, as someone who has gone from low-income to moderate-income, Opportunity Junction remains the only tax help filing service that does not have an income cap. They can help anyone; and they are amazing. Alana Chisholm is the best instructor I have ever seen, as well as one of the most dedicated humans to helping other humans.Kimberly Tilton

Due to the urgent timeframe of the job related physical, I was unable to make an appointment. I was warned to arrive 15 minutes prior to opening. I waited. Finally we were allowed in the building and had to wait again to be seen at the counter for check-in. By the time I got to the counter the wait times seen by a physician and check out, were in the 5-hour area. The young woman that helped me informed me that she could not find my paperwork. Concentra is notorious for losing paperwork. This has happened to me in the past. It's happened to my husband, it's happened to many people. And I find it unprofessional not because they lost the paperwork. But it's how they deal with the fact that the paperwork is lost. Some of the reps will actually try to look and locate but mostly they're just lazy. So at this point I've already wasted an hour and must return the following day to be seen. I understand that it can be overwhelming to work in a medical office that's got appointments and drop-ins and whatever else they're dealing with, but making an effort goes a long way and mean something to the patient, your coworkers, and the company that's hiring you.Angela Vega
I went in for a mask fit test. I called the first time to ask if I needed to schedule an appointment. I asked them if it was ok for me to come in at 3pm. I come in at 3pm. They turn me away. They say it’s first come first served. To try to come in earlier. I come again. Around 12pm. Wait 4-5 hours to get a simple, 15 minute mask fit test completed. It failed. Alright….. I come again AT 7am to make line because the line gets long, wait gets long. Again, a simple mask fit test…I wait another 5-6 hours…..I’m not out until about 3pm. This is ridiculous. If they’re understaffed, I am so sorry. But this is too much. I do not recommend anyone going in for any pre-employment prescreening or even going to this place at all. It’s like an ER, unless you’re bleeding, you won’t get serviced for A LONG TIME.Eliana Villanueva
Today I arrived at the Concord Concentra location at 7:30 am. I was 5here for a physical and TB screening. I visited this location last week as well. We were informed that the wait could be up to 5 hours and that we would be called. After about 2 and a half hours, I went inside. I spoke to an associate who told me that she forgot to have me complete a document. I completed the document including medical information on cell phone. At that point I was told I would have to wait up to 5 hours. I was also told that I would be called and if u didn't receive a call by three to let them know. It is 2:48 pm and I am heading to Concentra as phone calls are not picked up. Are you able to help me get a physical so that I can start working? Thanks.James K. Williams SR

Review Summary
Graduated from this college years ago. If you're a woman – I caution you! In the time I was a student here, THREE (3) different instructors made moves at me. I reported to Dr. Ochoa one instructor (Dr. Miranda) after putting his hands on my shoulders, repeatedly asking me to kiss him, and asking inappropriate questions, i.e. "Do you have a boyfriend?" It was after Dr. Miranda was removed that I discovered that there were other female students who Dr. Miranda was inappropriate with, they were just too uncomfortable reporting his behavior. I noticed that the other two (2) instructors left me alone after that (and probably left alone any other students who were being targeted). Guess they realized they would be next to lose their jobs and immediately changed their conduct.Sy Guzman
I really enjoyed the respiratory therapy program at Concorde. The instructors REALLY care and go lengths to making sure you thoroughly understand the material. If I ever needed further explanation, I was able to email my instructors for extra help, which I enjoyed. The respiratory lab has all the ventilators that you'll see in the hospitals, and we were welcome to study them as we needed. Towards the end of the program, we spent a lot of time preparing for the board exams. The exams aren't easy, but I passed them on my first go :'-) The best part of it all is that they stay in touch after you graduate to see where they may be able to refer you for work. Thanks Ms. Tijerino!! (And of course Mr. Kregal, Ms. Tatro, Ms. Scharf, Ms. Brik, Ms. Lecour)Naiomi Pyorala
This place is simply great. Graduated over 5 years ago and everything has been exactly what i was told. I graduated, got my RDA license immediately, got hired instantly, and have climbed the ladder ever since. Ron was the best when he help sign me up. Even though she didn't enroll me, Yvonne was also extremely helpful in gathering all the informatiom i needed to feel comfortable with my decision. Last but not least Ms.Brown my instructor was amazing and super clear on what i need to do to succeed. Everything she said to do I did and it all worked out.isaiah Nuno
