A good school where you get out what you put in. Many trains stop within walking distance and buses as well. Just like any college, depending on your major, you will find good and bad professors. So always make use of the rate my professor website. I had a very pleasant experience. The administration was more competent than other schools I went to and my issues were always solved within a reasonable amount of time. The facilities I had to use for my major were in even better condition compared to some four year schools. The wifi coverage was good. Plenty of cafeterias with the best one being in the E building. Plenty of food trucks with different types of foods. Lots of seating areas with electrical ports. The class scheduling was workable with enough sections to fit almost everyone. Can't speak for any other major but it felt like that overall. They are always hiring new adjuncts so it's not the same professor teaching that one section you need all the time that everyone says is horrible. Always stay on top of your things if you want to have them resolved quickly. That's the part you play in your college years. The hand holding stops after High School. All I can say is, relax a little and have some fun. At the end of the day grades won't show the strength of your character after all is said and done.Mounia B

It seems like professors like the one I got Professor Arnold who acts likes she is going through the motions and don't there . i felt I waste my time and money which I paid out of pocket in her class and is thinking about leaving the college. She is one of the worst teachers/professors i ever had . I think cause it a community college a lot of them are mad cause they can't teach in a four year college through out of the community colleges in NY LaGuardia is the best . That being said she is the third professors that I had that sleeps walks through their class and I had another one that did something that weren't cool and I didn't show up for her class and never got an apology from her. I say if you over 30 years like me this college is not for you. Im currently in my last year at LaGuardia (majoring in business) and i have to say the Business department is full of AMAZING professors. Classes are really easy (most of them except accounting unless you're good at it) and the students are cool. I, personally, never talked to anyone or made any friends because I'm not an outgoing person. The school is constantly going under renovations and they just finished the new library and it looks AMAZING, as if it was a library from an ivy league. Food isn't that great but what do you expect, its school food [not free of course]. I took Acting & Gymnastics classes growing up as a kid @ KCC; along with taking other performing arts enrichment classes @ Brooklyn College also while growing up, although Brooklyn College wasn't affiliated with my high school like KCC was. KCC has a great campus for a CUNY two-year college (one of the nicest in the CUNY system being right on Manhattan Beach) and is also the partner CUNY institute with my High School alma mater, Edward R. Murrow whom it operates the CollegeNow! program with. I spent my Junior and Senior years at Murrow taking KCC college-level courses taught by both Murrow faculty, and visiting KCC faculty (at Murrow) as well as commuting to the KCC campus from Murrow for additional classes that could only be taught on-site @ the KCC campus. It was EXTREMELY academically enriching to be able to enjoy a college level curriculum whilst still being in High School; and that was due directly to KCC's collaboration with my high school. My GPA went up as a result of the CollegeNow! program during my last two years at Murrow as did my SAT scores. I have KCC to thank for that. 👍👏👏👏👏Ben Schaeffer

Kingsborough CC has a very nice entertainment program, well-run and well-sited, with both indoor and outdoor venues. This year's 4-part post-pandemic return to their July outdoor series has been a real winner for the 3 weeks of it so far, with decent weather enhancing the winning combination. Performers have commented on how well-received they are when they come to perform there, from an enthusiastic staff that really respects their art, to receptive audiences. That reputation has allowed audiences to see a number of top-notch acts more than once there, as the artists appreciate that respectful treatment. There have been other events there, all of which were interrupted by COVID since it came around, so there will be needed time to get those back on track. There are cautionary protocols in place even now: those attending must provide proof of vaccination, with masks optional. Not sure of masking will or will not be required once the indoor events resume, but it certainly appears that the staff has kept up-to-date with everything necessary.N H Tanner

I really can’t explain what I went through with the staff, so unprofessional and the attitude is horrible I always try to be as nice as possible but the way they treat people is awful. They literally screamed at my mom who does not speak any English for not having her vaccine card with her although she had picture of the vaccine but her phone was dead they yelled at her and did not try to help her enter the building at all. Once I came and approach them they was talking to me with awful attitude and yelling at me!!!!! although I respect the policy but they always could help in situation like this making everything 10X harder and unprofessional behaviour. One of its kinda school Historic place as it is more than 100 year old school CUNY’S most iconic campus so far As building is quite old, construction is going on still it’s worth taking a walk here Lush green gardens and beautiful library plus awesome walkways and old concert hall and other buildings. If I could, I would easily give York a ZERO RATING! NOTHING against the professors I’ve come across, but the school, policy and registrar/bursar staff and policy are ridiculous. I have been charged, during the pandemic I might add FULL. I clearly withdrew from summer classes and was literally ONE day passed the 100% refund date. After, I spoke continuously with bursar who kept sending me back to registrar. ALL professors assisted in submitting documentation showing I DID NOT CONTINUE in the ONLINE courses. Although I submitted required, and accurate paperwork documenting the WHY I could not complete the summer session, this greedy school is charging me ONE HUNDRED PERCENT for courses that their own records reflect that u withdrew from. Again, let me reiterate this was at the time of a Pandemic. I am now not able to register or do anything until this balance is paid. I think this school is deplorable, too much of the staff is unprofessional and not helpful At all! They’re dismissive and there is never any considerations or flexibility offered. If you can, avoid this school. Majority of the staff are unprofessional, lazy and do not seem to take their job seriously. Imagine emailing your professor and days, or even up to week plus passes by with no response. Some professors to avoid, Darrell Morris- extremely unprofessional acts as if he's paying us to be there and not the other way around. Does not actually teach anything, except the one time he was being evaluated. Does not respond to emails. Never comes on camera. Samuel Olagun- jeez where do I begin. Just do not take him. Arrogant, condescending, rude, unresponsive. Evan Owens- spent most of the semester focused on his graduate work than our class. Gave the same grade to everyone in our group project even though 2 people did no work. They earned a free A. Overall the school is a nightmare and I am so happy that I have never had to step foot on this campus. They act like they are doing you a favor instead of their jobs. Lovely campus and easily seen from the street. The school is close to public transportation. The campus houses a high school and an elementary school. The grounds can use some work and some more public art installations. The cemetery is gated but plenty of history ardorns the head stones. The indoor exhibit of The Tuskegee Airmen is worth visiting the campus. The stundent art galley is the best. Ask security for accessibility for people with disabilities. Security at the gate will ask of I. D. He is very pleasant and awesome with directions. Most staff/faculty are helpful too. Better to get assistance from the more experienced staff. They are quite knowledgeable. The food is pricey for college life, but the chicken Marsalis, peas & rice, Mac & cheese and green beans with show string beans cut carrots was a tasty pleasant delight. The logistics of the buildings are identified in letter quadrants to help navigate your way through the buildings. For example 1B 106 would be on the 1st floor in the "B" section. As F-1 visa international student, I would say that ASA College is a great place for our educational and career goals. Professors are responsive and very collaborative as well as helpful. During my education in ASA College I was able to make friends with students from different parts of world. The most of them are my lifetime friends now. Classes are not too big. Therefore, providing a tremendous opportunity to study and excel your knowledge and/or skills. I would recommend international students to study in ASA College if they want to be ready to compete within existing job market and get a job they are looking for. edit, update: ended up coming to the conclusion that because all of this uncertanty and my bad living situation I am dropping out, I did all I could, was not met halfway by anone but professors unless I begged here. do not go here if you're poor. Just, no. I can't take it anymore. I've tried to explain my situation to this school multiple times, and I'm left to struggle on my own. I am starving, housing insecure, financially unstable, and unable to make ot to class or properly study because of financial struggle, inability to be alone a place quiet to study because they won't house, and depression. In the end they want to fail you out so you can pay them fees later, I guarantee. I'lll gladly take my review down if it's actually a thing they decide they really want to help me with, only after I have been actually helped, and not as in, money grant to help my situation I never recieve, or new housing program email I apply for and am swiftly rejected because I am not enrolled just enough just yet due to circumstances that are once again not entirely my fault because when I applied here I intended to be taking 16 credits not 7. The best college ever! The best opportunity in your life! Berkeley College is a small college but very professional one. My English level was not so good, and I still find it difficulty sometimes, but it was not a obstetrical for me at all, because all the professors helped me. And I am definitely glad for all the professors that I had, for 19 of them (5 quarters until now), they are all gorgeous. They never stop telling their student to use them as much as possible. They are respectful, patient, helpful, easy to understand, and they will try everything and every method for the student to succeed, after that is up to the students. If you do what the professors tell you to do you'll be fine, and that's what I and all my friends do. And we enjoy time in the class, we work in group, we discuss and bring new topics in class related with the lectures. And what is the beauty of Berkeley College is the diversity that it has. I consider myself lucky to have peers form different part of the world, because in an easy way help me to learn more about what's going around and try to understand other cultures too, thing that is very important if you live in a city as New York. Men lie, women lie, numbers don't; Berkeley College is one of the worst college in America. According to National Center for Education Statistics, the retention rate is 64 percent and the graduation rate is 30 percent. When people see these type of statistics, many people like to blame the students however in Berkeley College’s case, it’s not the students fault, it’s the school’s fault. One of the problems with Berkeley College is the financial aid. When you first come to Berkeley College, they promise you that you will graduate in 3 years however when you have to deal with the Financial aid it’s nearly impossible. Berkeley College operates on a Quarter System. And because Berkeley College operates on a Quarter system, the government can’t fund every quarter like Summer Quarter. This is a problem because students are force to pay large amount of money out of pocket. And if you can’t afford it, you have no choose but to drop the quarter and this will push back you graduation date. Berkeley College is so expensive and such a waste of money. If you’re coming from high school or another college, don't waste your money and your time. This school is not worth the tuition money you have to pay every year. You pay 30,000 plus (about $7,800 each Quarter) in tuition and with the new book policy, you will be forced to pay $300 out-of-pocket for books you will never use each Quarter. I had the worse college applying experience. This is for the Paramus NJ Campus. I was a prospective student. Unfortunately, I’m on temporary disability for now so I figured “why not go back to school to pursue my dreams?!”. Well, Berkeley admissions gave me a HORRIBLE experience. They stopped following up with me unlike other universities I applied to. No one knew what was going on in my admissions process. I gave this college money that THEY knew I didn’t have because of my disability because I wanted to attend. All of that for these fools to tell me they’re only accepting a portion of the credits I took for my associates degree. I am going to attend a prestigious university that knows what they’re doing and how to handle their prospective students. Putting effort into this college was WORTHLESS!!! Hunter Business School helped me find a career that not only changed my life, but completely fell in love with. Covid was a blessing in disguise for me, and really made me evaluate how I'm going to change my life for the better. With being let go from my mundane office job, this was my opportunity to find a not only a stable career, but something rewarding as well. When the idea of radiography came up, I thought "This could be something I can do" and started researching school all around Long Island. HBS landed as my #1 choice. This program was not only affordable, but I would've started my career a whole year later if I attended the program at NCC. I would've been stuck taking prerequisite classes, since my college credits were more than 10 years old. With HBS, it didn't matter how long I had been out of school. I was given the same opportunity whether I was straight out of high school or changing careers later in life. Not only that, but with the accelerated program, I graduated before other schools were done and that gave me a head-start on finding a job. Last week I graduated from the Radiologic Technologist program, and I already have two dream jobs waiting for me. Today I passed my registry for my license, and I couldn't have done with without the dedicated staff at HBS. While the courses were content heavy, they made everything so clear and easy to learn, and were there for us when we needed the extra help. Attending this school has saved my life. It gave me purpose. The program showed me that I’m much stronger than I thought! I graduated in February 2021 from the x-ray technologist program. The faculty is amazing and very motivating. Many times I felt like the work was too hard, but I didn’t give up, and the teachers (especially Abe) really helped to keep me focused on my goals. So many doors have opened up for me since I graduated from the program. What’s even better is that the school helps you find a job! I graduated from NCC and John Jay prior to attending this school, and neither one of those institutions helped me get a job. In addition, the teachers at the other universities were not nearly as helpful and attentive compared to the teachers at Hunter business school. If it wasn’t for this program and all the amazing things it offers, I truly do not know where I would be today! I am eternally grateful for this school and their programs. I’ve been attending Hunter business school Xray tech program for almost a year and I can honestly say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made. Usually Xray programs are 24 months, Hunters is 16 months(shorter but fast paced)5 days a week so it’s very time consuming. You need to be 100% dedicated and contribute most of your days studying BUT it’s so worth it at the end! Being out of school for a few years it was nerve wrecking to get into the flow of things, but because of the instructors(Mr.Abe, Mrs. Aggey, & Mrs. Joy) they continuously motivate you to be an amazing tech. Because of my lovely instructors they have molded me into a great tech making sure to be tedious to little details in this field and providing excellent care for future patients. I can’t thank Mr. Abe enough for giving me this opportunity and believing in me! Hunter has changed my life and has made me gain such a great career path and a new RAD TECH family ! Do not waste your money. This school is a rip-off. My daughter took the EKG and Phlebotomy courses and throughout both courses only received one day of clinical in each area and they were not full days of practice since the school does not use manikins and the students had to practice the phlebotomy on each other and they could not stick each other but so many times…smh. Upon completion, my daughter received the run around trying to get an internship, and during the one internship interview that she went on the doctor told her that she really did not have anything for her as she was just asked to take another intern who was a relative of someone at the school, but she didn't what to tell my daughter no over the phone. She just had her waste her time and gas so she could experience an interview and tell her no in person…really? The school looked like a waste of time from the beginning and I should have gone with my instincts and gone to a reputable program.B. Manuel

I did my ultrasound course from here and my experience was great . Dr. Ayub and his lectures was awesome and he is always there for you in any guidance or questions even after completion of the course. The good thing is that they give hospital internships placement which actually enrich our skill and opportunities to learn varieties of cases and makes you confident. After the completion of the course they also help you for job opportunities which is really helpful as a beginner. Honestly I would not recommend this school, this specific location, for nursing maybe it was different a few month ago and with different organizations, but the teachers are not helpful at all. When u apply to the school the advisor makes it sound like they are very supportive and helpful and your money is being worth it. Big LIE currently was failing one of my class which is Funds, I needed 1 point, I ask the teacher multiple times mam is there something you can do to help me improve my grade, is there something you can do to help me better myself, the answer I got was a No there is nothing I can do. What do you mean there is nothing you can do your are the professor and have the final say, they are just don’t care about helping people, it’s all about the money honestly!!! Since the organization have changed with new directors and new teacher the school is a hot mess. Do not come here find another school or different location, where you can get more support because nursing is a lot and you need someone to teach that will have patience and someone who actually teach the class and not give you YouTube videos to watch. I did not pay 33,000 to come to school to watch YouTube videos, I can do that at home. The teachers there are the best. Mrs.Stampfl, Ms. Smith,Mr.B and Dr.T are the best teachers I've ever met they aren't just teachers they become more like your friends and family. Mrs Stampfl went out of her way to teach us every aspect of the medical coding and billing field and I feel so confident and prepared for the next phase of my life. If your thinking of going back to school I highly recommend going to Lincoln tech. It will change your life forever. I want to say that the Allen School of Health Sciences wasn’t my first choice. I only wanted to get more information about the school. My daughter recommended this school to me. I came and spoke to Ms. Hunter about enrolling in classes. I passed my entrance exam with flying colors and enrolled in their four-week course. I paid off my tuition before classes started. Something came over me before starting that kept saying “I’m going to be a failure” and that I shouldn’t bother to go. I called the school to cancel and spoke with Ms. Zabida. She was very strong and shocked about my statement and said she was going to have Ms Hunter call me. I spoke to my husband who told me that a quitter won’t win and a winner never quits. Soon after Joy gave me a call and said “Ms. Bucknor you can’t quit, you have to reach your goal.” I then spoke with one of the directors, Robert. Rob gave me some great advice and we ended the discussion with “Happy Holiday and I will be seeing you on campus next week.” It made me so happy to speak with them. The nervousness did not go away because it was a long time since I sat in a classroom chair. I even had difficulty sleeping. But, with the help of my classmates and my instructor Ms. July I succeeded and completed the program with an A average! I want to thank my teacher, classmates, and husband for all the support. My experience at Ace Institute has been very successful. After completing my internship I recieved a job offering a week later! Now I am a full time Diagnostic medical sonographer. The school directors Amit and Gaurav made me feel welcomed the first day of meeting them. They care about all of the students, because they want the best for us. They both showed respect and gratitude. Rutu was always there for me when it came to financial aid support. So no student should ever have to worry about if they can afford to pay for the school. In my opinion, the diagnostic medical sonography program at Ace is the most affordable program in New York City. Tisha who is in charge of the internship process was so incredible! I’m so proud of myself, I just finished my externship and I’m a graduate of Ace Institute of Technology I started the program in November. I was looking for a school that understands me and able to work with me. From the first time I met with the Director Dr. Gigii she was amazing she motivated me throughout the whole program. There were times I wanted to give up but she didn’t let me. All the teachers were understand and compassionate and if I needed extra Help they would go out there way to help me after class. I am in my mid-sixties and have lived a fairly active life which has resulted in injuries as well as routine aging concerns, that have necessitated surgery and/ or physical therapy. I have, in the past thirty years, been a patient at various physical therapy offices. Last year, I had shoulder surgery and began post operative rehabilitation at Hudson Physical Therapy. I was having a difficult time recovering and experiencing significant pain. The care and treatment that I have received at Hudson Physical Therapy has been outstanding ! The genuine care and concern for my overall well being is immaculate. Hudson physical therapy should be rated number one in the states. Both Dr Gleb and Dr Artem are very knowledgeable, they have a hands-on approach for a comprehensive plan for recovery. Both emphasize communication between therapist and patient, what it is working and what is not working, they change plans accordingly. Was refreshing to me to learn that "no pain, no gain" is NOT the way to go. As well, the rest of the staff seems happy to be working there. Holsman Physical Therapy, located at 799 Morris Park Avenue in the Bronx, stands head and shoulders above the competition. I attended four other providers in the past several years with many hours spent in waiting rooms. Often, there was no patient/therapist continuity, leading to inconsistent therapeutic exercises and a poor care plan. I have diabetic nerve pain, a bulging disk, herniation, and a pinched nerve that causes numbness, tingling, burning, muscle weakness in my legs and feet, and lack of coordination. I visited Holsman for the first time in October 2021 and barely waited to be helped when Ms. Glenda Sinio, PT, approached, interviewed, and immediately customized a plan of care. She wasted no time getting me on track to improve my balance, strength, flexibility, and range of motion. I feel I'm in good hands and look forward to my visits because she makes the exercises fun. She is positive, upbeat, well trained, knowledgable, and can adapt, improvise, and innovate at a moment's notice. One day we were scheduled to do "leg work," but I had a severe lower backache. She immediately changed the plan, worked on my back, and I felt remarkably better the following day. She makes me feel like part of the team. More recently, Joy, the Occupational Therapist Supervisor at the center, reviewed my file and is now a new member of my team. She provides heat and massage therapy to reduce neck and back strain. She is also giving therapeutic exercises and massage for the hands to slow down the tingling, numbness, and pain associated with Diabetic nerve damage. I am having therapy at Holsman Physical Therapy located at 799 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx, NY10462. As you enter the facility you could already feel the welcoming and friendliness atmosphere. The receptionists and all personnel are courteous. Ms. Glenda, the physical therapist, evaluated and customized a plan for my treatment. She helps me getting on track to get rid of my cane by giving me exercises for flexibility, strengthening of my legs, balancing, and improving my walking and range of motion. She gives me other treatment like heat, cold, TENS, and massage. She also motivates me to do the exercises at home. She is very capable, knowledgeable, efficient, innovative, friendly, compassionate and most of all respectful. It has only been my 8th session and great improvement has already been achieved. My husband recently had a total knee replacement. When he finished with at home PT, the therapist gave us a standard list of recommended facilities, but added Holsman on Morris Park which she said was her top choice. She could not have given us a better recommendation. He has progressed tremendously under Erica and Albert’s care and quickly moved to walking without a cane at home. He has also started Occupational Therapy with Joy, working to improve his posture to prevent and delay arthritis. They are all extremely knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I've been coming here for about 2 months and sadly today was my last visit. I got a referral from my orthopedist due to a left knee injury and I'm so happy with the overall experience. The staff are nothing short of phenomenal. I started with Artie and he made me feel really comfortable with the treatment plan we had developed together. He's very professional, personable and makes the visit fun while pushing you within your limits!! I was then taken care by Rocco for the remainder of my treatment. Rocco is personable, professional and very informative in answering any and all of my questions. Carla and LJ are very warm and welcoming as therapist aids when arriving for visits. The women at the desk were also very professional, patient, and worked hard to accommodate my ever changing schedule to ensure I was able to come in for my treatments. I am forever grateful for all of them and this positive experience. They have such a wonderful work culture and it shows in how everyone performs their duties. I’ve been coming to Bronx Physical Therapy for a few years now. They have helped me recover from multiple injuries. Their staff members are very professional and welcoming. I have been coming to this facility for many years- for mammograms, ultrasounds and MRI’s. And I am VERY happy with the service and care at this location. I highly recommend you call the office the week of your appointment to ensure that all insurance authorizations have been approved. And it’s best to have a copy of the referral needed for the procedure. Sometimes doctors’ faxes don’t go through as expected, and you want to avoid any and all types of issues on the actual date of your appointment. Fill out the required forms via text before your appointment date. This will save you a LOT of time in the office- and you will be seen more quickly. In terms of the clinic- it is clean and well organized. And the staff is very friendly. I am claustrophobic, and yet, I’ve been able to have MRI’s of my cervical spine and lumbar spine completed at this facility successfully. The MRI technician… I never got his name… but he is SO kind, warm and reassuring. He’d make sure I was comfortable, felt safe and was ready before he’d begin the MRI. It takes about 10 minutes and you’re done. If you’re afraid of the MRI machine, too, just hold on to the bulb that he hands you to squeeze should you ever panic or begin to feel uncomfortable. He will quickly stop the procedure and come check on you. Thank God I’ve never had to use it. I close my eyes as soon as the bed begins to pull into the machine, and I keep them closed. There’s nothing to look at in there anyway. 😋 During that time, amidst all the loud banging and clanking- I talk to God. I sing my favorite songs (in my head). I think about what I want to buy myself as a gift for following through with this appointment. Anything that keeps me calm. Before I get a chance to start overthinking and feeling scared in there, the time is up. And we’re done. I’ve had Stand Up MRI’s done at other locations and they take way longer than they do here. I HIGHLY recommend getting your MRI’s done at Lenox Hill Radiology. And when you’re done, you too, can reward yourself by going shopping at one (or more) of the many shops nearby. 🎉. The automated answering service or automated voice when called does not mention that there is a cutoff time for walk-ins. I arrived at 4pm and was told while I was on line for registration that they were not accepting any more walk-ins. I stayed on line to ask what time was cut off and to speak with as supervisor. I was called into another room and the clerk called someone and asked were they still accepting and the woman on the phone said they were. The technicians who took the X-rays were very welcoming and helpful. They made me feel very comfortable and less annoyed about what happened earlier at registration.Sharon Smith

Horrible customer service. I arrived 30 min early and front desk denied to see me because "the technician had left" which I didnt believe, mind you I had a scheduled appointment months in advance so they knew I was coming for service. I confirmed my appointment the day before and not one courtesy call was made to inform me they couldnt see me for whatever reason. I spent money taking a taxi because I was in pain and all the front desk girl said that was not her problem! Worse customer service experience ever! Please provide training for your front desk staff because its horrible. Would definetly not recommend!Brian Boy

i had a great experience at LINC and i would recommend this course to anyone looking to become a CNA. I had a pretty full schedule with work so I really appreciated all the available class times to choose from. Our evening instructor Ms Cecilia and Ms Stephanie is more than great they are AWESOME They are very knowledgeable and makes the class enjoyable. Front staff Ms Angie was always very friendly and helpful every time I went to practice, someone was always in the office—and i practiced for the few weeks after finishing class to prepare for the state examination I felt that the training I received here helped me to successfully PASS my state exam on the first try!Natalie Green

My teacher Mrs. Staphane and my other instructor at Linc Health Training Center, were professional, knowledgeable and were there to answer all my questions if I didn’t understand anything during my CNA course. I know they will do the same for you because they want their students to understand the lesson and succeed. The best part is, getting hands on training for your skills. The schedule for classes are flexible. You can get a class schedule that will work well for you. I highly recommend this school to anyone that wants to do CNA.
